7	* TheDeadGuyDidIt: The head doctor who convinced Anika and Anton to abandon Bettie outside where she froze to death has already died when the Cold Case team figure it out.
8	* DeadPersonImpersonation: Carmen lived the rest of her life under Bettie's name. Though their initial plan was only to switch places, without anyone dying.

By the time the truth is revealed, the head doctor has been dead for years, meaning he'll never suffer punishment for what he did.

13	* PublicExposure: It's revealed that a day before her death, Bettie had convinced Anton to let her and the girls draw him nude for an art class under Carmen's guidance. Unfortunately, Anika caught them and, this being the proverbial straw that broke on the camel's back, is what had Carmen assigned to a lobotomy by the hospital and her family, leading to Bettie's death.
14	* SpannerInTheWorks: After Bettie's lobotomy under Carmen's name, she was supposed to be sent to a private hospital that Carmen's family had paid for. However, a snowstorm caused road closures, so Bettie was sent back to the asylum, where the head doctor discovered Anika and Anton's plan.
