* Self-proclaimed to be a hermit, Kasen Ibaraki is actually many things, and hiding so much more, behind her human-like appearance, ranging from being an oni, to being a Sage of Gensokyo. However, she would much prefer living life as it is now, taking in the beauty of normalcy and calm. Despite being a kind and helpful person, however, Kasen has quite a few dark shades to her disposition and process.
* Her ascension was arranged by Yukari and Okina as a result of everything that began happening with Gensokyo and its residents since [[{{Pantheon/Currency}} Chimata Tenykuu]]’s ascension. The fallout of that event has culminated in quite a turbulent series of events for the Touhou deities, both already and newly ascended. Yukari & Okina both knew that they really needed to step up their game and catch up with the modern times of the Pantheon, so they decided to enact a plan to ascend the last known member of the Sages.
** Kasen had been mainly hanging around Reimu’s shrine up until the day she would be ascended, when both Yukari & Okina showed up before her to request her aid in something. This unnatural reunion obviously made the hermit suspicious, especially knowing of the events that occurred since the market goddess’ ascension, but given her duties as a Sage, she accepted. Once they passed through the Land of the Back Door, they found themselves at the Pantheon/CourtOfTheGods, and suddenly Kasen knew- she had mainly known of the things that recently transpired, but never got involved as she wasn’t ascended. Yukari and Okina were gonna change that, much to the annoyance of the hermit.
* Regarding Reimu, Kasen is one of her closest true friends and allies, alongside Marisa…a feeling not so reciprocated by the shrine maiden at first. She once saw Kasen as an annoyance, but over time, she grew to learn and like her quite a bit. Kasen also served as TheMentor to Reimu, [[spoiler: guiding and training her for when she has to seal away her cursed arm again,]] helping her raise more money for the Hakurei Shrine, and other such tribulations. They don’t always see eye-to-eye on things, but they are very much in agreement to them whrn it comes down to it.
** Kasen, by extension, is also friends with quite a fair bit of Reimu’s camaderie. Marisa is a strong supporter of Kasen’s mentorship to Reimu, which while made the shrine maiden annoyed, it also pleased the hermit. Sanae is pretty much a neighbor to Kasen, as they both live on Youkai Mountain, and are also friendly with each other. With Sumireko, though, things are slightly more tense (especially given [[VideoGame/TouhouShinpirokuUrbanLegendInLimbo what Sumireko did]]), but they still have an amicable relationship, sometimes finding excuses to visit the Outside World.
** As a Sage of Gensokyo, she has a sworn duty to maintain the land of fantasy and its integrity. However, of the trio, she is probably the most vocal when it comes to expressing her opinions on the others. Kasen, like Reimu, finds Yukari to be cowardly and annoying, pestering and bothering others into stopping or starting things for her. She echoes this for Okina as well, as well as citing that she has an idea on the inner workings of that secret god’s mind. However, in the end, she still regards them as allies, as they are just as much protectors as she is.
** Is weirded out a little by Miko’s strange infatuation towards her. Well, Kasen does call herself a “Taoist Hermit”, so it would make sense that Miko would be asking for advice from someone like her, right? Well, she may not really know the full extent of what Taoism is, but her affinity with animals and nature as well as her kindhearted personality have made her quite a fond character in the Crown Prince’s eyes and mind. Kasen isn’t sure of what to make of all of this, really.
* Ever since her ascension, Kasen has begun wandering around as usual, looking for new experiences. This has resulted in quite a few new friends and foes for her to juggle.
** The House of Beasts And Fauna welcomed the hermit with open arms (or paws? Appendages?), making her an honorary member of the House. Rexxar in particular respects her quite a lot, as she is a beastmaster in her own right, also having tamed 5 beasts like him as well as being a hermit. The rest of the Beasthood, and by extension most of the House, are also respectful of Kasen, and are more than willing to take her side if she ever is put in a tight situation.
** Howled with laughter upon seeing Sr Pelo's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sOAkdu3tRo recreation]] of the events that occurred within the [[VideoGame/TouhouKoumakyouTheEmbodimentOfScarletDevil Scarlet Mist Incident]]. She found his playful artstyle and animation to be very endearing, as well as its tongue-in-cheek and slapstick humor sparsed with clever soundclips and effects. For a day or so, it was all Kasen can talk about to Reimu and co., who while annoyed at first, eventually decided to watch the video themselves. Since then, Sr Pelo had become a celebrated icon in Gensokyo, and is one of the few deities who have been allowed in and out of it freely without reprecussion.
** Not all is fine and dandy for the hermit, however, as there are always going to be obstacles in her life. She had been made aware of some recent threats to Gensokyo and its residents, such as Tanya, Alice ([[OverusedRunningGag not Margatroid]]), Brand X, Terumi, and older foes like Odio. She’s also found some rather unscripulous characters in the House of Beasts & Fauna, like Chantel [=DuBois=] and in her opinion, The Dovahkiin. To Touhou deities in particular, Kasen is quite a critic towards Keiki Haniyasushin, thiugh given their respective stances on animals, this shouldn’t come as a surprise; it’s also not surprising that Junko would be an enemy of Kasen’s as well, given that the divine spirit is in association with [[TheDreaded Gigyas]].
* Not many people beyond those from Gensokyo know that Kasen is actually an oni. But if you’ve researched Kasen’s last name, [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibaraki-d%C5%8Dji Ibaraki]], then it does become a bit more obvious as to what she actually is. Her supposed actual identity became one that quite a few took notice of.
** Rem & Ram, two fellow oni in the Pantheon, became acquainted with Kasen through [[Pantheon/RangedWeapons Sakuya Izayoi]]. The hermit felt bad for Rem’s current condition, and adds herself to the growing list of deities who’ll help them whenever she can to restore Rem’s memories. Kasen was also acquainted with the Masters of Spinjitzu through the oni servants, who were, again, surprised to find more friendly oni in the Pantheon now, but have since become friends with her.
** Ritsuka Fujimaru, the master of Chaldea, was quick to locate Kasen, as they suspected that she was ''their'' Ibaraki-Douji. Though that wasn't really the case for Ritsuka, Kasen herself was rather unnerved of their description of Ibaraki-Douji[[spoiler:, it deeply reminds her of herself, especially when she merged with her arm to truly become Ibaraki-Douji herself]]. Thankfully, though, when the two oni did meet in Ritsuka's temple, no true animosity emerged, as they instead recounted their respective pasts without much judgment. Since then, both Ibarakis, as well as Ritsuka, have become friends.
** A deity that gives Kasen some pause is Momotaro, who along with animal companions of his own, took to taking down an island full of oni. While she was more concerned about the oni that had dealt the damage first, she was wary that Momotaro's skills with a blade are not to be underestimated. The boy himself also expressed concern about Kasen, [[spoiler: as she is Ibaraki-Douji although not as evil nor powerful without her true right arm,]] but was still nonetheless rather rattled at such a powerful oni could be around in the Pantheon- and that's not counting Kasen's heralds...
* Kasen has a myriad of abilities at her disposal, learned from her many years. Ranging from hiding her home in different ways (potentially similar to how Miko does with Senkai), channeling and manipulating light spheres, [[FlashStep instantaneous movement]], and of curse, incredible strength. She also is in possession of a magical box/cup that seems to have the ability to cure its drinker's ailments and wounds completely as well as grant them strength, but in return, their disposition becomes similar to that of an oni's. For the former, the manipulation of light orbs has gotten her the attention of ne of Miko's training buddies, Oriko Mikuni, but the hermit doesn't think too highly of her despite both of them having a bond with the Crown Prince. The House of Pantheon/HealthAndDiseases are quick to ask Kasen for samples of medicinal salve from her box, but she refuses to budge when it comes to that, as she states that there's other, and probably better, alternatives that they can explore first.
* [[spoiler:Kasen's main reason for training and mentoring Reimu was so that the shrine maiden can be prepared to strike her, or rather her evil self that was sealed in her severed right arm, down, so that said arm can be resealed.]] Kasen had planned quite extensively to pull this off, much like how her other fellow Sages have pulled off extensive plans of their own. Since her ascension, she has had many aspects of those events reflected in many of the deities she has seen and met with.
** Ritsuka, learning of Kasen's previous plight, referred her to the Hassan With The Cursed Arm to spend some time with. They both have cursed right arms, though compared to Kasen with hers being cut off and [[spoiler:housing her malicious and evil side]], the Hassan's right arm houses a full-on demon, and is attached to him still. Another such friendship would be struck with Hellboy, in the same house as Hassan, also with a cursed right arm. They both also happen to choose to leave behind what they used to be and become better people- and they do like animals, with Hellboy having a fondness for cats while Kasen is much less specific on her likings.
** Once watched on Sumireko's phone how Samuel Rodrigues brutally slashed off Raiden's arm, and was piqued. She wondered if that, in the unlikely event the seal for her right arm would be removed, she can call upon Sam's help instead. While their first meeting was normal and they were friendly about it, he did bring up the heated moments between Yang, Blake, and Adam, especially with the fall of Beacon. She then encountered the aforementioned trio, one by one, over the course of the following day. While she sympathized with Yang's situation and what resulted from it, she doesn't hold Adam to that degree, but maintains as much neutrality with the other as possible.
* Did you know that Kasen got banned from the House of {{Pantheon/Food}} for a few days? Many cite it as an incident caused on purpose, but the actual events were much simpler than that. The hermit once was at that House to get some food and talk to some of Reimu’s other friends, when she caught whiff of Ragna’s cooking. After a bit of chat about [[spoiler: living with cursed arms that can make them evil if unleashed/unsealed and]] and how good Ragna’s cooking is (which, of course, he didn’t [[LargeHam ham]] about), she took him to meet with her correspondents- Yuyuko and Youmu, both ghosts. [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes Naturally, Ragna freaked out about seeing ghosts, which in turn caused Youmu to freak out about ghosts as well]], and now both have their weapons drawn, shrink-eyed and scared. However, Ragna in particular laid eyes at a table where Byakuren Hijiri and her disciples sat- including Nue; his fear becoming rage, he took off and went to assault the alien for that nasty scare she inflicted upon him a while back, which devolved into a brief but full blown battle across the House. [[{{Scapegoat}} And then everyone but Ragna & Nue (who blamed each other) pinned the situation on Kasen, the only noncombatant in that whole ordeal]]; thankfully, Eiki and co. knew what actually happened, and only gave a light sentencing to the hermit in the form of a three-day ban.
--> '''Yukari:''' That’s the spirit! Now you’ve really become a resident of Gensokyo!
--> '''Okina:''' An impressive feat, indeed- what an incident you’ve managed to cause, Ibaraki.
--> '''Kasen, annoyed:''' Another word from either of you and I’m going to apply intense percussive therapy on your smug faces.

* Fears: Those that can inflict RetGone, Overdeities
* Weeping Angels are among the most dangerous beings in existence. They look like harmless statues but if you blink or turn away just for a moment they'll be in your face before you realize it. They are fast, faster than you blink. The only thing you can do to keep them from killing you is look at them for as long as possible. If you do, they turn to stone and can't hurt you when they're like that. Most frightening of all is until they get you, you can never be sure if a Weeping Angel is just a statue, and you can't be sure if a statue is really a Weeping Angel. Any statue, however old, however broken, could be a Weeping Angel looking for its next kill.
* They aren't interested in alliances, and merely wish to feed on the potential lifespan of anyone they come across. What's worse; they are almost completely unstoppable. You can't destroy them. If you do, they'll just reform back and snap your neck. One touch from a Weeping Angel sends you into the past. They consume the energy from the life you might've lead. Luckily, that's where the House of Time and Space comes in. They travel into the past and retrieve any Weeping Angel victims. This makes the Weeping Angels [[{{Understatement}} quite angry]], as it doesn't really give them much to eat, especially since the House is aided by the Doctor.
* The Weeping Angels' diet isn't too different from the Shinigami of the ''Manga/DeathNote'' universe; they subsist off subtracting people's lifespans. However the way they do so is different; with the Death Note the victim is killed in 40 seconds to 23 days depending on what's written down, nullifying how long they live. The Weeping Angels send people back in time, not directly killing them but shortening/ending their lifespan from a linear perspective. Some have speculated this could be used in tandem, but Ryuk and Rem would prefer the Lonely Assassins don't intervene in their affairs and the stone angels agree.
* Their killing through TheSlowPath seems almost kind, however this is only how they feed. [[AlwaysChaoticEvil To the "man", all Weeping Angels are psychopaths]] who will kill brutally [[ForTheEvulz because they can]]. Whether they can or cannot be considered mortal, Zamasu still holds them up as an example of how mortals are evil, and the fact they abuse time travel to feed. [[VillainHasAPoint While true with the last point]], Zamasu is a bigger threat to time than they are. Unlike most they have no interest to point out the mad Kaioshin's failings and simply wish to continue their lives uninterrupted.
** Babidi was more pleased by them as their AlwaysChaoticEvil nature could let him Majin them under his command. Of course, [[EldritchAbomination they may be too Lovecraftian for him to command]].
* Weeping Angels can reproduce through manifesting from images of other Weeping Angels. As such, no visual representation of them is allowed in the pantheon, except for [[TemptingFate the apparently neutralized profile image]]. The SCP Foundation went to immediate action to establish ways of containing them, eliminating so much as a crude stick figure of the Lonely Assassins. As they can be stopped by their own reflection, mirrors and any mirror-related being is a useful way of neutralizing them. The Foundation has also increased sales of mirrored sunglasses.
* [[Recap/DoctorWhoS31E5FleshAndStone Some angels are capable of turning people into angels, or at least being born from]] the image in one's eye from looking at them. [[MortonsFork Damned if you do..]] As seen with Angel Bob, they are also capable of ripping part of someone's brain out [[VoiceChangeling to steal their voice]]. For that reason, they have been banned from entering the Voices sub-house.
* [[Recap/DoctorWhoS33E5TheAngelsTakeManhattan During 1938 they used a hotel as a farm for feeding off people's lifespan]]. [[FateWorseThanDeath Killing you nicely means little when you spend your life there as a prisoner]], and the Weeping Angels are trying to set up similar "farms" in the pantheon. They are interested in Alessi's Stand as they could theoretically send someone back in time, make them young again with Sethan, and repeat the process until paradoxes make it unfeasible. As they care nothing for money and Alessi would be made a captive for this to work, he panicked and ran. He may have actually been able to turn the table on them as Baby Angels are a thing, but [[EldritchAbomination with them]] it's a risky procedure.
* Immortal beings and those with very long lives are of great interest to Weeping Angels. Unfortunately for them, it's of food. Some wonder if having an infinite potential lifespan, due to being TheAgeless, having CompleteImmortality or somewhere in between would mean [[TooSpicyForYogSothoth they're too much]], or if the Weeping Angels could just take off ''some'' of their immortal life instead of all at once. It is known that paradoxes make them sick. [[ParadoxPerson Walking time paradoxes]] like [[Pantheon/ParadoxesAndTimeLoops Lars Fillmore]] are completely indigestible and hungry angels will refuse going after them. Of course, this doesn't stop them from trying to kill such beings.
* They have heard of Raul Menendez's actions against [[Pantheon/TraitorArchetypes the Spy]] and thus decide that out of everyone, he could make excellent prey. This is bad news for the Old Cyclops because his skills as a manipulator are useless against them. There is no reasoning with the Weeping Angels. They do as they like. He has even lost many of his followers to them.
* A lot of the other angels don't like the Weeping Angels at all. They are far too creepy to even be considered angels. To be fair, they aren't angels, but aliens that appear as such. Still very creepy though. Fortunately for the Pantheon/{{Angels}} Archangel Michael is there to guard them [[OhCrap and make the Weeping Angels shit bricks]]. Despite their own power, any Overdeity-tier being is beyond their grasp. The Weeping Angels are particularly terrified of any being with the power to RetGone, as this was an experience a number of angels suffered thanks to a time crack.
** Despite not really being angels, this hasn't stopped YHVH from trying to make them submit out of principle. So far this has been met with failure.
* As they are already made of stone, at least in their quantum-locked state, they are immune to petrification by either Medusa. If they can be petrified in a more permanent manner in their unobserved state, it's impossible for them to turn the tables on them. Ghatanathoa, however, only needs to be observed for mummification, but in their non-quantum locked state [[EldritchAbomination the Weeping Angels might be immune to that]]. They find the being useful to their cause as it can paralyze people, making them easy pickings for the Lonely Assassins. Fortunately the Great Old One isn't interested in them.
* Weeping Angels are almost impossible to reason with, however not completely impossible even if the Doctor thought otherwise. SCP-173 is a very similar being to them, what with being a murderous and apparently indestructible angel who can only move when not being looked at. It tends to be the straight man, [[NoNonsenseNemesis killing as soon as possible]] rather than reveling in [[StupidEvil pointless dickery]]. They share an enemy in the SCP Foundation as well. However they need to be very cautious in communications as if a Weeping Angel and SCP-173 were to ever see each other, they would be permanently contained unless something blocks their vision of one another.
* Due to their similarity to SCP-173, the Weeping Angels are able to evoke fear from SCP-682. Well, it's more accurate to say they used to evoke fear. After keeping its eyes on them 682 noticed they aren't TheNeedless and still needed to feed, so all it had to do was play the waiting game. It's unknown if Weeping Angels capable of reproducing through the images in one's eye are capable of affecting [[EldritchAbomination it]], however it is known that not being truly alive they are incapable of feeding on the Keter-class [=SCPs=] lifespan.
* As of late, TheHeartless have been appearing around these statues. For what purpose, nobody knows, and the angels rarely speak unless they have the voice of someone else like what they did to Bob. Whatever the reason is, it can't be good. Spooky has also managed to employ the Angels to act as Specimen [=6s=] in her house. The Angels don't really complain about it at all. They're just happy that they can kill people. They're also happy that there are so many floors to the house. It is for that reason that they usually have one on each floor.
* The Weeping Angels have a more conflicted alliance with the Hounds of Tindalos compared to 173. They prefer to stay out of each other's way, but the Hounds pick off time travelers which may try to inconvenience the Angels.
* The Weeping Angels are completely uninterested in the House of the Pantheon/UndeadAndPhasmata. They feed off potential lifespans, and those who are technically dead are completely useless for them. And with rare exceptions such as [[Pantheon/{{Transformers}} Cybertronians]], robots aren't seen as alive to them. While nobody is surprised the Boos don't count as living to them, the fact they can't move if anybody looks at them and can't be harmed, combined with not being useful for the Weeping Angels, means they don't like one another.

* As the Blood Gulch Crew campaigned to get the rest of their team ascended, the outstanding member of Project Freelancer who wound becoming a worthy leader and combatant had no problems getting to deity status, even with all her personality flaws.
* Her ascension meant Epsilon could return to being Carolina's AI, a partnership that led to great results in Chorus. It's also a deeply symbolic relationship, [[spoiler:as Epsilon is based on the memories of Carolina's father Leonard Church.]]
* For her title, the Pantheon decided to recognize Carolina's Adaptive Camouflage, that allows her to disguise as both the environment and [[DressingAsTheEnemy enemy soldiers]]. This drew the attention of Solid Snake, who had similar enhancements with the [[Videogame/MetalGearSolid4GunsOfThePatriots OctoCamo]] and bonded with Carolina for similar traumas and combat skills. 118* Has become closer to many deities in the house of Family with parental conflicts, as her upbringing was tough: [[spoiler:her mother died while in the military, and his father spent the rest of his days trying to revive her in some way, leading to Carolina becoming one of the best in the Project Freelancer he spearheaded just to make him notice her and approve what his daughter had become.]]
* Another tragedy in her life regards York, a fellow Freelancer who she was quite close with possible UnresolvedSexualTension, but the last time Carolina saw him they fought, and he died a few years later. 120* [[Pantheon/ActsOfWar Wiz and Boomstick]] once answered the question of who would win in a fight between Carolina and [[Pantheon/DigitalPersonas The]] [[Pantheon/SupportPowers Meta]]. 121** [[BerserkButton If you value your life]], ''never'' talk about him in her presence, or worse, compare her to Tex. While Carolina had some revenge once by beating up drones that resembled Tex, her presence in the Pantheon still brings some bad memories.
** On the other hand, she takes comparisons of between Pyrrha and her (as both look and sound rather alike) rather well and they occasionally spar. She also expresses pity for [[spoiler:Pyrrha's departure from the mortal realm]]. Pyrrha's teammates and her friends from Team RWBY have grown to admire Carolina as well.
* Seeing Felix already ascended made Carolina uneasy, as the mercenary is basically her EvilCounterpart. Her opinion about his former partner Locus has improved, on the other hand. And Roman, who makes her think of Locus without any morals whatsoever, has gotten her instant dislike. Roman's boss Cinder ascending was also terrible for Carolina, [[spoiler:as she's the responsible for Pyrrha's death]]. Carolina also dislikes Adam Taurus, an extremist whose blade might be powerful enough to cup her armor, and Neo, as she's not pleased to see a killer good at disguises on the same house as Wash.
* Master Chief said he considers her his female equivalent, something Carolina was deeply proud to hear.
* Got closer to Commander Shepard due to equal battle skills and the fact Carolina resembles Shepard's female form.
* The house of Music prefers not to comment on her singing skills, and not because Carolina could easily kill most of them. However, they managed to keep her away by saying she's only allowed to perform if [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YrfyeurqnI this]] is played right before.
* Harley Quinn was amused at how Carolina [[Videogame/DCUniverseOnline had a similar voice to hers]] and decided to approach her. While Carolina is getting used to living with quirky people, Harley was too crazy and morally reprehensible for her, and she has responds aggressively whenever Harley decides to pester her again.
* Ever since [[spoiler:Temple locked Carolina down in her suit for days]], she's terrified of repeating such an ordeal, and became a fierce opposer to AM given the computer prefers this type of punishment.
* Upon his ascension to the pantheon, Carolina was introduced to [[Pantheon/{{Misfortune}} Qrow Branwen]] through her allies from the world of Remnant. They’ve formed a mutual appreciation of each other’s skills in combat. Qrow in particular respected her tactical knowledge, and Carolina in turn respected his weapon techniques.

* ZAYIN, TETH, HE, WAW, and ALEPH is the threat level classification L. Corp uses the Abnormalities they house in their facilities ordered from least to most dangerous. However, the higher the danger the greater output of results from the Positive Enkephalin produced to the quality of E.G.O. equipment and if managed properly they’ll be beneficial to not only the daily work quota but also the company’s long-term ambitions set by its founder. The event in which an ALEPH leaves containment is automatically a dire one. Case in point: Nothing There, an Abnormality that wears the deformed shells of its previous victims with the intention of imitating them. Difficult to keep contained and even more-so to put down, it has earned a rightfully feared reputation in the company and any notice of its escape is sure to spell hell.
* The story of how exactly Nothing There came to the Pantheon is debated upon. Some say it ascended as a result of Chaos Insurgency being interested in a natural ALEPH class Abnormality and they sought to take it with the Foundation and/or Global Occult Coalition soon entering the picture not long after. Others say it was the GUAE who wanted to use it against the other alliances but ran into trouble with the GUAN. And those are just the popular theories. Either way, it’s commonly agreed upon that from there it killed a god and took their guise to escape its captors' clutches before the ruse fell apart and proceeded to wreak havoc on an entire House. In the end, Nothing There, even in its evolved state was eventually suppressed and isolated within a spacious temple. While the authorities have done their absolute best to keep it contained due to it being unhindered by Qliphoth Deterrence or the limitations that came [[VideoGame/LibraryOfRuina following the White Nights and Dark Days and establishment of the Library]] Nothing There still proves to be a dangerous entity and still manages to escape its containment unit.
* Imagine being an employee of Lobotomy Corporation. You’re surprisingly managing to work with all sorts of monstrosities born from human thought where one wrong move in procedure can spell death or fates much worse than it. There’s a coworker within the same department as you talk to every now and then. You’re not quite “friends” per se, but they’re good company to have in a place like a Wing. One day you’re assigned to work on an ALEPH such as Nothing There. That’s nerve-wracking enough, they can demolish entire departments on their own (not hyperbole), but to make matters worse the first time you step into the chamber you see that coworker from before: Limbs contorted, guts exposed, face deformed, now either gibbering and drooling like an animal or reciting their words as though it thinks itself as them. Really, is it any surprise that Nothing There drives people to madness by looks alone?
** Managers of L. Corp have a Cognition Filter to help alleviate the gravity of what actually goes on in a workday which makes employees look like dolls and Abnormalities mere toys you’d see on shelves. Fuminori Sakisaka sees Nothing There differently, but it’s nothing like the actual filter. [[ThroughTheEyesOfMadness Due to his condition]], the world around him is nothing less than a horrific landscape. Conversely, he perceives his lover Saya as an ordinary young woman. And in the case of Nothing There he sees it like a dog (breed varies every time he looks at it), clumps of random mundane objects that vaguely form a cocoon, and finally a human being with a case of gigantism. Despite being another abomination he and Saya aren’t fond of one another due to its destructive tendencies and Nothing There has attacked them as it does with everyone else.
* Many deities have made the connection between it and The Thing and the Carrion monster that terrorized Relinth Science. The difference is that both monsters are much better at imitating humans than Nothing There even if one disregards that its disguise doesn’t last that long with it eventually deforming. It has been observed that Nothing There appears this ability of theirs. Where it ultimately fails at being human in the long-term, however, Nothing There more than makes up for its longevity and overall threat with its physical strength, unnaturally dense shell, [[ResurrectiveImmortality ability to come back no matter what]], and capacity to evolve at a very quick rate. Even its First Form is capable of tearing apart grown human beings with little to no effort while driving the remaining ones into insanity.
* Lucina formerly held Nothing There’s current title in reference to when she masqueraded as her ancestor, Marth, while in the past. She was horrified to be notified about such a dangerous monster popping up in the Pantheon one day and being able to linger after taking her previous title. Luckily, she doesn’t have to worry about it aiding the Fell Dragon Grima after it went ahead and killed many Risen the moment it encountered out of anger. Not so much from them agitating Nothing There by attacking it or anything like that, but rather Nothing There found that imitating them would be irrelevant to its goals after learning they’re undead. Grima caught on from the incident, though he could only chuckle at the fact that, as an Abnormality, Nothing was pulled from the Well of human consciousness, therefore, making Nothing There a product of humanity.
* Leatherface is a chainsaw-wielding maniac who assists his family of cannibals. As his name suggests, is famous for his masks made out of human skin. On one unlucky day he ended up coming face to face with the Abnormality and in a panic tried to run his chainsaw through its body and found that it harmlessly bounced off its flesh prompting Nothing There to retaliate and [[DeathByIrony immediately kill the Sawyer cannibal and wear his shell]]. It soon found its way to the House of Pantheon/{{Slaughter}} where it caused havoc there.
* Its ability to evolve and soon regenerate from all sorts of damage can be attributed to Nothing There’s power to fully manipulate the dead mass it wears. In its humanoid form, otherwise known as its Third Form (which is strongly hinted to not be its last), Nothing There gains a club-like arm allowing it to turn anyone caught by it into an unrecognizable mess at best while on its other hand it can launch spikes at blinding speeds. Said club-arm can also be morphed into a giant scythe-like blade that can [[ThatOneAttack tear through almost anything]] and serves as the basis for its Mimicry E.G.O. weapon. A prototype version of the said weapon was once the favored weapon of [[RedBaron The Red Mist]], a famous and powerful [[HiredGuns Fixer]] that operated in the City.
** Alex Mercer eventually took notice of the ALEPH for this reason. He, or rather the virus taking on his form, has demonstrated similar abilities including the use of an arm blade. While he is planning on roping the Abnormality to his side, either as an asset or just assimilating it, Mercer has chosen the long game of simply observing for now. James Heller, having fought against Mercer and putting a wrench in his plans, eventually pieced together his nemesis’ interest in the Abnormality and has his sights on its movements. While he shows no fear in battling it, even he had to admit it’s one tough son of a bitch with its [[StoneWall resistances]].
* Has an Aberration, or variation, in the form of [[WebComic/{{Wonderlab}} Nothing Is]]. Where Nothing There seeks to imitate humanity in general, Nothing Is seeks to imitate a specific human identity for itself. It’s a minor difference in motivation, but it is no less dangerous than its original counterpart. Nothing Is was last seen breaking out and taking on the guise of an employee known as Alex and was in the company of Titania, an Abnormality that is the Aberration of Fairy Festival. Due to the severity of the scenario, the facility they were in was blown apart sealing everyone inside. Their status by that point and how L. Corp’s fall affected them is unknown.
* Due to following a religious faith that worships flesh the various Sarkicism cults took an interest in the Abnormality. Much of their attention is directed towards its E.G.O., specifically in how they can acquire in bulk for their members. Without much intel from L. Corp’s knowledge on it, however, the plan will only be a fantasy with the rate they’re going. On the other hand their opponents, The Church of the Broken God, naturally didn’t take kindly to this.
** At the very least though, those who have interacted with Nothing There have a 1% chance of acquiring [[https://lobotomycorp.fandom.com/wiki/Nothing_There#Gift_ its Gift: three of its eyes on their cheek]], which boosts physical healing a little as well making them a little bit tougher. It goes away after dying, though, and given how dangerous Nothing There is, it's generally not worth vying for the Gift.
** Now with the ascension of [[Pantheon/{{Economics}} Lobotomy Corporation]], a new cell has been made for Nothing There to keep it better contained, and given the strong interests in its E.G.O.s, they've decided for once ''not'' to enable any means of harvesting those Weapons or Suits; those interested parties will have to settle with trying to rob them from any Agents wearing/wielding them, and the Agents will not go down easily.
* Owing to their experience in dealing with aliens and monsters both the Hazardous Environment Combat Unit and The Black Ops have marked Nothing There as their enemy. Likewise Nothing There may or may not have equated them to the Rabbit Team, a paramilitary group under R. Corp that L. Corp calls in to deal with situations that have spiraled out of control to wipe out anyone within the department they’re dispatched to. The difference was, the Rabbits were well-geared in dealing with the otherworldly and extraordinarily dangerous threats on top of being augmented like any combatant worth their salt and well as [[spoiler:being clones that survived an extended battle royale scenario against their fellow copies]]. And this contrast was demonstrated all too well when Nothing There got the jump on the former. By the time their heavier armaments have arrived the ALEPH had already formed into its Second Form rendering any action they would moot due to its [[NoSell immunity to physical harm]] causing them to pull out while they still could before it moved on to its Third Form.

* Interests: [[Pantheon/{{Costumes}} Albert Wesker]]
* The X Parasites are hostile lifeforms from [=SR388=] that throw the planet out of balance and greatly endanger it via assimilating its victims and copying the DNA of such. The threat was big enough that the Chozo created Metroids, already a threat to the galaxy as is, to combat it, but once Samus wiped out the Metroids, the X Parasites returned with a vengeance. One particular X Parasite infected Samus and her Power Suit, resulting in parts of that suit being surgically removed and Samus getting injected with a vaccine that altered her DNA. Some of the removed suit parts that were infected combined themselves and thus, a monster wearing Samus’ standard Varia Suit known as SA-X was born. Not only does it have access to Samus’ arsenal and quite smart when dealing with its targets, it can make duplicates of itself and turn into a hulking monstrosity (and later Beam Core-X, with Core-X being something shared among other X Parasites alongside said intelligence) as a means to fight. With the use of the Fusion Suit, Samus put an end to the X Parasites’ attack, but during that time she wasn’t able to directly fight SA-X and had to run away from it until she had the capabilities to fight it head-on.
* Samus was given another mission to go to a planet within the Pantheon in order to prevent whatever threats are there from reaching the wider parts of the Pantheon. A few days later, what appeared to be Samus’ starship arrived in the Pantheon, with whoever was there to witness it believing that Samus’ assignment was over. Some of the witnesses noticed that “Samus” wasn’t acting like herself, especially since she was wearing a different Power Suit when she left. Not long after the fake Samus left, the real one arrived, with whoever was still present telling her that someone like her ended up in the Pantheon while she was busy. Samus knew something was wrong and headed to where the imposter was at, but by the time she arrived, some X Parasites SA-X had in the spaceship it was on ended up assimilating with some unlucky victims. It was through Samus’ efforts that SA-X was driven out of the area and the victims recovered some time afterwards, but she was prepared for the fact that it wouldn’t be the only time that SA-X would end up causing problems for the Pantheon at large.
* While SA-X has never encountered Samus’ main enemies during the time it pursued her, the Pantheon gave it a chance to learn more about them and SA-X has taken issue with them, but for completely different reasons than that of Samus. One part of Mother Brain’s aspirations for galactic domination involved using Metroids as bio-weapons, something that prompted SA-X to not get involved with her. Dark Samus was another of Samus’ adversaries who SA-X opted to avoid due to the former being the product of Metroid Prime, a heavily mutated Metroid, and even the possibility that Metroid Prime itself would ignore SA-X due to said mutations corrupting it did little to change SA-X’s opinion of it. As for The Chozo (who were the original caretakers of Samus) and the Metroid Hatchling, both of whom Samus was on good terms with, it’s clear that SA-X hates the two seeing as how the Chozo were responsible for the Metroids that destroy X Parasites (and the Chozo see SA-X as an aberration that needs to be destroyed before more X Parasites start to spread as a result of its influence) and the hatchling being capable of such thing (though an Ice Beam from SA-X will make it more likely that it can survive and encounter with the hatchling).
* Mega Man was one denizen of the Pantheon that ended up having to fight off SA-X at one point. He ended up getting word that something was attacking various places and when rumors tried to pin the blame on Samus for such, Mega Man (knowing that someone as capable of using a multitude of powers for heroism like he can wouldn’t deliberately try to harm innocents) decided to investigate in order to put an end to the slander that was directed at Samus. What he ended up finding was something that resembled Samus who proceeded to attack him without giving him a chance to speak things out. While Mega Man put up a good effort, SA-X’s monstrous form gave him trouble and it was through the intervention of Samus (who later found out where SA-X was at) that it was defeated once more and those rumors put to rest. In general, the X Parasites were something that Mega Man had to be on the lookout for as if he ended up in contact with them, then a threat comparable to that of SA-X could emerge from that meeting and fighting a dangerous version of himself was something Mega Man doesn’t want to happen even if he’s prepared for it.
* Having dealt with a shapeshifting monstrosity in The Thing and how it caused a lot of psychological and physical pain for each other, The Antarctic Research Crew have a lot of justified reasons to be afraid of SA-X and the X Parasites. While fire was able to put a stop to The Thing’s chaos, such an element isn’t as effective on the X Parasites and those affected by it, not to mention that truly getting rid of them requires the use of Metroids, already considered to be dangerous lifeforms created only as a last resort to stop the X Parasites. They already have to deal with the return of The Thing and similar entities such as the Carrion monster and even if SA-X and the X Parasites are in some sort of rivalry with these shapeshifting monsters when it comes to assimilating others and gaining abilities, it’s clear that as it stands, the Research Crew doesn’t have a lot on their own to deal with more dangerous threats. The most they can do is rely on outside help (provided that they aren’t actually a shapeshifting enemy in disguise) to fend off their worst enemies and ensure that none of their members end up assimilated by any of the X Parasites.
* Other assimilators that have some galactic origin that the X Parasites and SA-X have come across included The Borg and the Aparoids. In a way akin to how The Borg Queen represents The Borg and The Aparoid Queen leads the Aparoids, SA-X serves as the main representative of the X Parasites, though it doesn’t seem to have a leadership role in contrast to the other two. Seeing as how the X Parasites and SA-X have a glaring weakness to Metroids, they are willing to try and assimilate someone to cover their weaknesses before the Borg or Aparoids can, though the latter two race of assimilators have their own weaknesses they are trying to cover as well. Regardless of apparent hostilities between the three over who gets to assimilate what (not to mention the possibility that the three aren’t above trying to assimilate one of the other races as a means to ensure their dominance over the other), it hasn’t prevented the respective enemies of The Borg and Aparoids from trying to stop the X Parasites from spreading, largely due to the Parasites’ said similarities to the aforementioned two species.
* Alex Mercer, who served as the embodiment of the Blacklight Virus, ended up finding out about SA-X and the X Parasites while looking for other entities to absorb. Similar to how SA-X uses its wits to try and thwart its adversaries before finishing them off in a more direct manner, Alex opts to infiltrate different locations before absorbing some hapless victim to take over their appearance and possibly gain some useful ability from them. The X Parasites have their weakness to Metroids and Mercer doesn’t see much of a point in absorbing someone who was victim to another group of assimilators that have some kind of weakness that others will use against him if he ends up getting the X Parasite in him, though it hasn’t stopped him from fighting SA-X whenever they cross paths. As is the case regarding Alex and other assimilators, others fear what could happen if he ends up absorbing someone infected with an X Parasite or if a lot of those X Parasites end up infecting him.
* The Crewmates sometimes get help from other deities at times to finish certain tasks, with Samus being one of those individuals that sometimes helps them when they can. The X Parasites in general have become problematic for the Crewmates as it could lead to the rise of more imposters like the ones they have to contend with on a regular basis if left unchecked. SA-X being what they referred to as “a Samus-shaped Imposter” only added to the Crewmates' concerns about the X Parasites. On their end, the Imposters are rather intrigued by what the X Parasites can do and since Samus does sometimes help the Crewmates with their tasks, the Imposters are willing to use SA-X, alongside the X Parasites as a possible means to sabotage the Crewmates.
* On a larger scale, the X Parasites have been known to endanger many planets that they come across. While the Pantheon has made it easier for the threat to be mitigated, that hasn’t prevented others in the Pantheon from having some form of dislike towards them and SA-X. This included deities heavily tied to planets such as Rosalina and Mogo, especially since the planets and are born from Lumas could end up ruined by the X Parasites and SA-X should the Samus imposter end up there. Plenty of measures have been implemented to ensure that Mogo doesn’t fall victim to the X Parasites given how the latter are able to adapt to environments that are unfamiliar to them such as Mogo (and to an extent, the entire Pantheon itself).
* SA-X is something that is more or less unstoppable when it comes to pursuing others it encounters and as Samus can attest, it isn’t possible to fight back unless one has sufficient levels of power to do so. While a good chunk of the Pantheon can defend themselves against SA-X, it’s those who don’t have access to combat and/or magic capabilities that need to run away from it. SA-X being a ruthless pursuer has brought to mind others such as Pyramid Head and Chris Walker, though SA-X hasn’t really interacted with them all that much, instead focused on its own plans. Unsurprisingly, one thing that many believe is worse than some deranged monster relentlessly pursuing them is some deranged monster pursuing them that is also infected by the X Parasites and if those kinds of characters end up being used by those parasites, then SA-X might truly work with them.
* The X Parasites are seen as a burden by many in the Pantheon, but there are some such as Albert Wesker who have taken some interest in them. In particular, Wesker has observed some of SA-X’s actions to further understand what the X Parasites are capable of and has even considered using them to create a unique line of Tyrant creatures. SA-X having a form that some have had an easier time defeating wasn’t lost on Wesker since that trait was a recurring issue with some of Umbrella’s monsters. The X Parasites having their own weakness, not to mention the fact that others are willing to create other methods to make it easier to stop the X Parasites and SA-X, gave Wesker more of a reason to look further in his studies and find a way to make it harder for others to defeat his monsters that are infused with said parasite.

* Among the Covenant, there was once a revered warrior among their fold. That one was supposed to eliminate Master Chief. Instead he befriended the human, earning his banishment (To be fair, he was already disgraced when he first lost to the Chief). Yet the stories of his adventures did not end there. This warrior ended up to be one of the biggest thorns in the Covenant 's back. And it will be the same in the Pantheon, as he graces his way into the Pantheon due to his iconic invisibility cloak.
* Master Chief was naturally the first to meet up with the Arbiter. The two have a rather… complicated history to say the least. Starting out as enemies, the two have now become crucial allies. Their followers work together to take down the Covenant.
* The Arbiter remains one of the Covenant's greatest failures. There was a time where he was one of their most reliable strategists, stymying their human opponent with victories. The fact that he has ascended has further shaken their ranks. There are already talks of the Covenant breaking rank form a rival temple. Luckily, such efforts have been unsuccessful due to a lack of leadership as well as infighting within their group. Still, the Prophets' ascension made the Covenant join the Combine, ensuring Arbiter will continue his battle against the High Council who nearly caused the death of the galaxy if he and Master Chief hadn't stopped them.
* On the other hand, Thel 'Vadam's redemption may be one of the greatest HeelFaceTurn stories of the known Omniverse. various other gods who went through the same process congratulated him on his ascension. Zuko especially was proud of the Arbiter for achieving this moment.
* Although he hasn't played such an active role in fighting the Flood as Master Chief, he remains among their greatest enemies. Of course, this put him in opposition of Arthas Menethil.
* He ultimately declined a spot as high priest of Adrian Shepard, God of Popular Mooks. He has long since outgrew that notion, thus initially disqualifying him from the role. Still, he maintains a tight friendship with the soldier.
* There has been rumors suggesting that he took part in the [[VideoGame/KillerInstinct latest Killer Instinct tournament]]. Only that proved to be false. As there were many before him that took the role as the Arbiter, this one is from another time. Thel 'Vadam is not yet sure which one it is though.
* His race came from a long line of [[ProudWarriorRaceGuy Proud Warrior Races]] called The Sangheili. They used to be one of the most prized forces for the Covenant as the Elites before the organization betrayed them. The humiliation prompted Wrex and Worf to fight bitterly against their benefactors. When the Arbiter ascended, both gods welcomed him with open arms. They can seen either kicking evil alien ass or their own for training.
* He is well aware of another group of aliens known for their prowess, one who are interested in the hunt above all else. They are led by Scarface, the most well known of their kind. The two races respect each other, though they aren't exactly allies. The Predators are interested in putting the Arbiter to the test, of which the Arbiter declined to take up.
* To his delight, he has earned the aid of Zeratul. The Void God holds the Combine with nothing but contempt and is glad to see another alien group fight against it.
* One of the most famous practitioners of the Invisible Cloak, Harry Potter greeted him and have him thanks. The wizard helped develop formed the temple so that magical users would feel just as home as their technological counterparts.
* In addition to his customized plasma sword, "Prophet's Bane", Arbiter Vadam's position as a Pantheon member allows him to call upon any weapon or vehicle made or used by his people, for use by him or his allies, in the event of trouble breaking out; more than once, when battle has broken out within the Pantheon, he has lent the forces of good various plasma weapons and versatile vehicles. And if [[GodzillaThreshold some serious power is needed]], he can even call in a [[HumongousMecha Scarab]], allowing him and his allies to easily turn the tide of a battle or break nearly any siege.

* She goes to the House of Pantheon/FightingAndCombat to continue her training in martial arts, having Goku as her mentor. She also works alongside Po in this regard, who looked in awe when he saw her use fire in her martial arts.
** Also caught the eyes of Mai Shiranui, Anji Mito and Kitana, amazed at how she blocked a sword attack with a ''paper fan''. The three are now teaching her to use war fans to help disarm opponents.

* Conflicting Opinion: [[Pantheon/{{Mentalities}} Celestia Ludenberg]]
* The PhantomThief, Phantom R, is widely known and both feared and awed. Feared by the police force due to him seemingly easily stealing priceless artifacts and artworks of French history, and awed by the public for looking good while doing so. However, he isn't just Phantom R; at day, he's just an average looking lad with a dog named Fondue by the name of Raphael. The odd thing about this is that when looked side by side, Phantom R and Raphael really don't look that different; save for the hat and black suit and the lack of glasses on Raphael's side. Despite this fact, he manages to trick the police force into thinking they are different people. While it is hinted some of his closest friends figured it out, the Court Of Gods were impressed by this feat and approved of his ascension.
* Phantom R's ascension into the Pantheon was first widely known when there were reports of a deity running around in the shadows near the house of Pantheon/{{Craft}}, namely its art museum, which was proven true by the security there reviewing security footage and slowing it down to show him exiting with a painting alongside his dog. Despite their best efforts trying to track down the mysterious purloiner, he escaped into the night. Even weirder for the guards, he was later seen returning a painting later that same night and escaping again. The guards closed the museum down to examine if the new painting was forged and if anything else was tampered with.
** Cue the next day with Raphael walking by the house to check on how it dealt with him, the authority figures there quickly realized that it was him and surrounded him for questioning. Despite being shocked at how competent they were, Raphael than explained that he was actually checking out the art museum yesterday with Mordecai to judge a work of art he put up, only for Mordecai to realize that someone replaced his painting with a forged copy alongside a calling card from the Riddler with a green question mark on the back of it. Raphael than pledged to help him track down the original copy the Riddler stole and return it. Mordecai was more than happy to verify not only the case, but the artwork that Raphael retrieved as his own, and the Riddler also testified (before getting arrested by [[Pantheon/{{Superheroism}} Batman]]), pissed that Phantom R managed to succeed. Given that he technically didn't break any crimes, Raphael was cleared of all potential charges.
*** This incident wasn't the only time Raphael or Phantom R dealt with forgery. As a child, he was deadly ill, and he only survived thanks to his father painting fake copies of famous paintings and selling the real copies, up until he went missing. Now, Phantom R is trying to steal all the fake copies his father created and placed in museums, and return the original works of art to their rightful place. This revelation led to him being placed on much more friendly terms with the house despite their first encounter.
* In terms of disguises, Raphael's Phantom R disguise surprisingly working is just as audacious as Superman's look or Perry The Platypus's fedora counting as a disguise. They sometimes have friendly banter between which disguise is the most obvious and which disguise could pass in certain circumstances. So far, it's mutually agreed that Perry is the most obvious case of ClarkKenting while Raphael and Clark Kent are neck to neck in how many situations their Phantom R and Superman costumes could be seen as normal.
* Surprisingly, Scrooge seems to be rather amused by Phantom R. This stems from the fact that he is a SelfMadeMan like Scrooge was, going from being a bit of an overconfident jerk to the suave, smooth thief he is today. He can definitely respect that, and even is ready to call on him should he need help trying to find someone who tries to steal from him.
** On the topic of his past, due to him not being as graceful as he was now in his younger years, [[IHatePastMe he does grow peeved whenever someone mocks him for his past, especially him thinking Fondue was pathetic for being scared of a cat.]] Although he does try to defend that last point as something along the lines of harmless teasing, he still isn't that proud of his past. As a result, he can easily see where Ratchet is coming from when hating the fact that people remind him of his past as a rude lombax trying to kill Qwark while being mean to Clank. Ratchet is glad someone understands his pain but considers Raphael lucky as his past was regulated to one bonus mission in his game while Ratchet's past [[VideoGame/RatchetAndClank was during a good part of the second act of his game.]]
* Despite his incident with Fondue, make no mistake; they both greatly respect and look out for each other. No matter in his Phantom R clothes or his Raphael clothes, Fondue is always close by. The majority of dogs in the house of Pantheon/{{Canines}} seem to at least respect Raphael and Fondue's bond, especially when seeing them train for dog shows. Their impression of Fondue only grew [[ThatOneLevel after learning of how he tried to woo female dogs by eating meat in rhythm to music with the female dog he wanted to court.]]
* One day while passing through the house of Pantheon/{{Musicality}}, he heard a familiar song by the name of "Samba Carnival" being played within the house, alongside a crowd jumping along to the music. [[https://youtu.be/GoCDiKfWtHg Seeing some nearby maracas for sale, he decided to purchase them, put on his Phantom R outfit, and join in on the fun.]] Amigo quickly took noticed of how well he was doing and invited him onstage for a on the fly maracas duet. Despite his initial surprise at seeing Amigo as a smart monkey who can use the maracas well, he quickly got in the groove and danced amazingly with him. Amigo was more than pleased to have him perform with him and is more than willing to dance with him again.
** As a lover of music if it wasn't obvious from his nickname of Rhythm Thief, he has befriended a good number of deities related to music besides Amigo. He has also got into the good graces of the Nerima Daikon Brothers, especially Mako [[MrFanservice for obvious reasons]]. While Hideki is peeved that Mako seems more interested in Raphael than him, Raphael's declinal of doing anything romantic with Mako is what keeps Hideki happy with him. He's willing to do missions with the group that interests him. He is also being scouted as a potential new member for the Elite Beat Agents.
* During his attempt to successfully grow the list of people he successfully backstabbed, The Spy tried to take down Phantom R with his signature attack. Thankfully, [[BigDamnHeroes Fondue managed to see him trying to backstab him and bit him on the rear, causing the Spy to scream in agony while dropping his knife.]] Before he could try and reclaim his knife, Phantom R took the knife first, forcing Spy to bring out another knife, forcing Raphael into a KnifeFight, lasting from the grounds of the house of Pantheon/{{Royalty}} all the way to the rooftops of the house of Pantheon/ReligionAndFaith. Surprisingly, he managed to fend off the Spy, [[http://rhythmthief.wikia.com/wiki/Minigame:Showdown_by_Moonlight having already performed a couple swordfights against someone who claimed to be]] UsefulNotes/NapoleonBonaparte, [[KarmicDeath even managing to backstab him to end the dual.]] The other mercenaries had a field day upon learning of Spy's defeat, and the French assassin has since sworn revenge on the Rhythm Thief.
* Celestia seems interested in enrolling Raphael as one of her butlers, [[http://rhythmthief.wikia.com/wiki/Minigame:Hurry_Up_and_Wait since he underwent training on how to be a waiter to get closer to Duchess Elisabeth.]] Raphael, not even taking into account the whole "killing to get out of a dangerous school thing", still declined, saying that he already has good connections with Duchess Elisabeth for helping her reunite with her daughter, Marie, who he is a friend of. Surprisingly, Celestia actually respects said wish, as even she can't really argue with the power of a French duchess, but claims she'll keep a spot open in case he changes his mind. He's on decent terms with her but still prefers Duchess Elisabeth.
** On the topic of Marie, he is trying to ascend her as the goddess of violins. [[ShipTease Some gods tease that there are more reasons as to why he wants her to ascend, but he keeps his lips shut and his cheeks blushed when inquired.]]
* As a PhantomThief, he has gotten into the good graces of other thieves in the pantheon. He became fast friends with the deity who holds that title of PhantomThief, Ren Amamiya, alongside his group of other Phantom Thieves. Phantom R is rather interested in their work and has offered his services to them should they need it. He is also friends with Aladdin, a fellow LovableRogue who is a fellow thief that he can trust. However, he has the fondest connection with fellow GentlemanThief Sly Cooper, who commented on how it was nice to finally have another thief who knows how to be polite and virtuous while committing his crimes. The fact he also has some distaste for Penelope Mouse, being reminded of Jean-Francois betraying him and Marie, also scored him some goodwill with the raccoon. He plans on joining him and Lupin on their thieving competition, whenever it happens.
* Managed to befriend another fellow criminal, or in this case, a ex-criminal, Fylnn Rider, in the middle of returning a golden crown. Despite the mix-up of him thinking he stole it from Rapunzel, considering how she lost it earlier that day, upon realizing that he was serious, quickly dropped suspicions and befriended him, thanking him for helping Rapunzel get her crown back. Upon trading stories, they were surprised with how many similarities they had; they both were thieves that managed to help a daughter of royal liniage (with Raphael, helping Marie reunite with her mother, Duchess Elisabeth, and with Flynn, reuniting Rapunzel with the king and queen), with the both of them being taken advantaged of thanks to their guardians that they thought they could trust (with Gothel for Rapunzel, and Jean-Francois for Marie). Since the incident, he has became a close ally to Flynn and Rapunzel, much to Gothel's annoyance, [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech especially with Raphael backtalking her after yet another failed attempt to steal her hair.]]
-->'''Raphael:''' "You know, if you'd just taken Rapunzel to see the lanterns at least one time, you would most likely still have her. [[IronicEcho But hey, what do I know? Mother knows best after all...]]"

* Annoys: The rest of the Hall of Disguises
* Fears: [[Pantheon/HorrorGenres The Alternates]], [[Pantheon/{{Executions}} the Thing]]
* Rubber Soul was one of many Stand Users that acted as a mercenary for DIO in order to eliminate the Joestars and their allies. Sent to ambush them at Singapore, he disguised himself as Kakyoin and laid in wait. His Stand, Yellow Temperance, is a BlobMonster that allows him to perfectly disguise himself as someone else. By all rights, he should be a near-perfect assassin. However [[PerfectDisguiseTerribleActing he doesn't even bother to act like who he's impersonating]], preferring to act like a vulgar parody of them. Ironically, what finally exposed him was the memetic "rero rero" scene that actually was something Kakyoin would do. A smug {{Jerkass}} he quickly got on Jotaro's nerves and got a well-deserved Star Platinum fist to the face.
* No-one was really clamoring for Rubber Soul to ascend, as while he's not [[Monster/JojosBizarreAdventure a monster like Telence, Gray Fly or J.Geil]], he is one of [[HateSink the most unbearable pricks]] in DIO's payroll. The man isn't even unwillingly bad at disguises, he just prefers being a vulgar parody because of his lack of respect for anyone else. However he does legitimately fit the trope, and DIO saw him as useful. He's hoping that one day Rubber Soul can learn to actually ''act'', and he still has good offensive abilities using his blob as a means of attack. Not wanting to let anyone see his busted up face Rubber Soul only accepted this if he could use his initial reveal as his portrait image. Though an unrepentant prick who'd rat out teammates to save his own skin, he did start to get maybe playing ball with his "co-workers" is the safer strategy.
* His impersonation dissonance is not unique. Envy and Himiko Toga are known for making excellent disguises, but their ability to mimic someone's personality is pretty flawed. Rubber Soul was quite intrigued by Toga's blood quirk, but he's happy with what he has. As Himiko Toga [[AffablyEvil can actually be affable]] and doesn't see anything interesting with Rubber Soul the two ignore each other for the most part. Envy kind of likes Rubber Soul, though only as much as he can like humans. Both are these petty, bullying jackasses who love to show off how superior they think themselves are, but aren't actually all that intelligent and prove PowerfulButIncompetent. If anything good can be said about Rubber Soul though, he lacks the outright sadism as Envy. And there's no InferioritySuperiorityComplex either; he's just a weapons-grade {{Narcissist}}.
* He is not trusted by any of [[Pantheon/{{Shapeshifters}} the Animorphs]], even if he's regarded as "small fry" and not someone they're overly worried about. This is due to their experience dealing with the Yeerks, who can impersonate people [[PuppeteerParasite in a different fashion]]. [[Pantheon/{{Executions}} Tom Berenson]] grimly mused that Rubber Soul is just as bad as the first Yeerk to take control him, Temrash 114, did the bare minimum to act the part and Marco able to suss him out after one conversation. The Oni was not particularly impressed by Rubber Soul either, mainly because asides from being able to turn multiple people into more Onis they are arguably capable of deceiving people better than him.
* If he even bothers trying to justify his actions, he either acts if his attacks "[[JustJokingJustification he wasn't being serious and was just messing around]]" or his handsome looks making him so much better than his opponent. He reacted angrily when Angelo said [[DelusionsOfBeauty he may think he's a 10 but really he's an 8]], but instead of trying to beat him up tried to humiliate Angelo by disguising as him and acting intentionally rude and crass in order to hurt his reputation. And when Angelo refused to feed the {{Troll}}, then he tried to beat him up. He found the intentional mockery exhilarating and he's come to like mocking people who piss him off. Joffrey Baratheon happened to hear about this and reached out to Rubber Soul, giving him money to be his "jester" but mock other people. This went well for Rubber Soul until Joffrey made the mistake of having Rubber Soul take the piss out of ''Tywin'' for "bossing him around". The Illborn king never quite got why [[DragonInChief Tywin]] would send him to his quarters and ordered a hit out on Rubber Soul.
* Yellow Temperance is said to be one of few physical Stands that is physically impervious. It can resist burning, freezing and impacts. In short, it is near-perfect armor. However the user is still human and still needs to do things like breathing. The texture, resilience and conductivity can be modified as well, which means foolishness aside Rubber Soul is no joke opponent. Potentially he could sharpen it for stabbing weapons and suffocate people with it, however it's only after he witnessed the T-1000 did he really think of that application. One of the deadlier traits of Yellow Temperance is the ability to absorb organic matter to grow stronger and more massive, akin to the Blob. As much as it has a thought process, the Blob is aware of similarities with it and Yellow Temperance and when it comes close to Rubber Soul it tries to eat Yellow Temperance...only for Yellow Temperance to try and eat the Blob. Since the Blob is weak to extreme cold, Yellow Temperance has somewhat of an advantage.
* Rubber Soul is capable of disguising himself as any person regardless of gender, [[ManIFeelLikeAWoman and sometimes fondles himself in female form]]. While he presumably can't disguise himself as a non-humanoid, it wasn't certain if he could disguise himself as a humanoid since the opportunity never presented itself. He decided to try his hand by copying Mystique and it turned out that yes, getting her blue color right wasn't hard. She wasn't all that enthused, less so his obnoxious personality and more so disappointment; his power of disguise rivals hers, yet [[UnskilledButStrong he lacks the acting chops to take full advantage of it]]. This is a sentiment shared by many morally dubious shapeshifters and impersonators; its one thing to be a jerk and a hired killer, [[DoWrongRight but you better be worth what your employer is paying you for]]. Luckily for Rubber Soul though Dio has considered the point Rubber Soul is low enough on the totem poll that [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness purging him]] would be more effort than it's worth.
* Despite himself being called out as incompetent, few would say that his ability to mimic the appearance isn't impressive. In fact, it's ''because'' of this why gods like the Spy facepalm at his inability to act the part. He's not a DittoFighter however, and he can't replicate abilities...but he can make a close approximation if they are abilities akin to his own. Because of their physical similarities [[VideoGame/JoJosBizarreAdventureHeritageForTheFuture he can use Yellow Temperance as a yellow palette swap of the Emerald Splash]]. One of the new skills he managed to pick up is having Yellow Temperance itself mimic non-humanoid forms, however unlike his disguises they will always have a yellow coloration. Humorously when he tried to mimic [[Pantheon/{{Fathers}} Homer Simpson]] it ended up with him looking like a normal-skinned, five-fingered Homer in the Jojo art-style. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foOqrX9GHyc Homer thought he was some inbred freak]].
* Loves to prove that he can out-Ditto Ditto and out-Zoroark Zoroark. When he has Yellow Temperance copy them they copy whatever form they've taken, not their true form, which he found an interesting observation. When Ditto transformed in a human, Rubber Soul tried mimicking Ditto in that form...only to keep his own face like Ditto sometimes makes as a mistake. [[DisproportionateRetribution He threw sand at Ditto for making him look bad]]. He tried to reach out for Ditto a second time because he figured now he could fix that glitch, but his own jerkassery has put them at odds. When it comes to the physical part of disguise Rubber Soul does earn some of his pride about it, and he loves to flex it on other members of the Hall of Disguises. This has led to a bad reputation as he's seen as the most insufferable member of the Hall. [[JerksAreWorseThanVillains Sure there are more evil gods there, but no-one likes the jerk]].
* He has caused problems for his own Hall that led to him being temporarily kicked out, namely the time that he tried to steal Thel Val'dam's [[InvisibilityCloak "active camouflage"]] for both infiltration purposes [[EvilIsPetty and to be an]] InvisibleJerkass. He briefly wondered off to the Hall of Pantheon/ImpostorsAndImpersonations since he does have an honorary position there because of the nature of his Stand. He soon found himself afoul of the Crewmates who knew [[Memes/AmongUs he was sus]] and painfully reminded them of the Imposters, not helped by his rude behavior. The Impostor Crewmates don't even like them as they see Rubber Soul as a thug that wastes his talent. Needless to say, Rubber Soul's rude personality would translate to when he played ''VideoGame/AmongUs'', making him bad at the game. His ban would end since HateSink or not, [[PerfectDisguiseTerribleActing his role is legitimate]].
* Rubber Soul has few friends, to no-one's surprise, but he does have some. He holds an uncharacteristic amount of respect for Vega, even if the latter thinks he's a tool, as he is this prideful and sadistic pretty boy who's incredibly vain. Any camaraderie between them is mainly mutual narcissism as Rubber Soul is like a cruder, dumber Vega, but it is still noteworthy he's one of the only people who Rubber Soul tries to get his impression right without any prodding. Another rare case where he'll try to get the impression right? Gaston. Gaston does cringe somewhat at the misuse of such a great power[[note]]which is further damning [[EveryoneHasStandards if even Gaston thinks you're bad at it]][[/note]] and argues that hunks are always hotter than pretty boys, but they did get along hunting together and enjoying the sound of their own voice.
* At his core Rubber Soul is a PsychopathicManchild and SchoolyardBullyAllGrownUp...probably. He doesn't want people bugging him about what he did at school. And he gets kind of annoyed when people ask him if his parents were fans of [[Pantheon/{{Musicality}} the Beatles]], as surprisingly [[MusicalThemeNaming he has no idea why]] [[Music/RubberSoul people would think that]]. Most think he was given his overall attitude, and especially because he seems to get along with Biff Tannen. Rubber Soul is definitely a bully in the modern day, [[BigStupidDoodooHead complete with childish insults]], and he likes to take out his frustrations along with the 1955 Biff on some unfortunate kid, which pissed Jimmy Hopkins off. That said, while Biff is fine with his usual shenanigans [[EvenEvilHasStandards he complained about the time his Stand ate a dog]]. Yeah Biff's a grade-A jerk but really, [[BadPeopleAbuseAnimals a dog?]] [[HarmfulToMinors In front of a kid?]] Messed up, man.
* He's scared of the Alternates and the Thing, telling them "don't touch me!" in panic. While his cowardice is for the most part [[DirtyCoward shameful]], few would blame him for fearing these demons and the EldritchAbomination who are remarkably adept at disguise and impersonation. The Thing is better in some ways than Rubber Soul in that it can impersonate down to a deeper level and think like it's host. Fortunately for Rubber Soul the Thing sees no priority in assimilating him to gain his Stand...[[FalseReassurance any more than potentially anyone]]. The Alternates do see his Stand as deserving of plunder, since though they will try to act more accurate they are more prone to GlamourFailure. Alex Mercer has darkly mused that he's glad Rubber Soul has his Stand because his personality severly limits it...which made him mad and went "what did you say you bag of crap?!" before trying to punch him. Mercer ended up impersonating him and Rubber Soul hesitated because [[{{Narcissist}} "I can't punch a face that sexy!"]], leading to a sucker punch. He's still mad, but privately admits he's interested in Mercer's ability to impersonate.
* Amusingly enough one of the only things his Kakyoin impersonation got right, and ironically what finally proved to Jotaro he was an imposter was [[Memes/JoJosBizarreAdventureStardustCrusaders the memetic "RERO RERO" scene]]. Rubber Soul only did it to intimidate and creep him out but learning Kakyoin liked to eat his cherries that way was hilarious. Some of the other impersonators thought it was ActuallyPrettyFunny, but it still doesn't change their opinion on him that he's a waste of talent.

* Wary of: [[Pantheon/TimeManipulation Dio Brando]], ''[[Pantheon/{{Thieves}} Bucciarati's Gang]]''
* Sports Maxx was one of the inmates of the Green Dolphin Street Prison, having been a car dealer by trade and a gangster in private. Despite having over forty counts of various crimes, including the murder of Ermes Costella's sister Gloria due to being a witness to another murder, he was busted on racketeering and given a lenient sentence. [[BitchInSheepsClothing Though he acts the model prisoner, this is just in hopes of getting parole]]. Sports Maxx is a misogynistic, violent hedonist who benefited from getting a Stand Disc from Enrico Pucci. Not because he liked them, but as part of the Heaven plan. He would be confronted by Ermes in prison and was unapologetic about his crimes. She managed to kill him, and despite returning as a zombie he was put to rest via removing his Stand Disc.
* Sports Maxx is aware that many find the name of his Stand impossible to take seriously, especially if one of the dub names is used (''Flaccid Pancake''; really?). However this hides the danger it causes; he can summon inaudible, invisible zombies from nearby corpses that are only visible either by being coated in some opaque liquid like blood, or by the person reading the manga/watching the anime (though not at first). Even if he dies he can come back as an invisible and inaudible zombie, mentally unchanged except with the craving for blood and brains. Instead of respawning like most do in the Trope Pantheon, he will become this invisible zombie and he needs to be pummeled hard enough for the Stand Disc to fall out.
* Though his zombies are invisible, possibly even doubly invisible to non-Stand Users, there are those like [[Pantheon/{{Heroism}} Superman]] and [[Pantheon/SupportPowers Heimdall]] who's super-sight is so good they can detect them. Since he's just a normal human gangster without the Stand, [[PragmaticVillainy he's not stupid enough to antagonize them]]. In addition, while he can bring the dead back as zombies, it creates a ghostly copy of their corpse and whatever damage the zombie goes through gets reflected on the corpse. Any undead are fair game to be copied by virtue of technically being a corpse, but that risks antagonizing said undead. As such, he rarely touches the Halls of Pantheon/UnlivingBeings or Pantheon/{{Zombies}}; a later experiment reveals the Limp Bizkit zombies don't gain any of the undead's powers.
* Sports Maxx was pleasantly surprised to learn he was fully alive when he entered the Trope Pantheon, but that joy soon became frustration that Ermes Costello and many of her friends were waiting for him. His defense of his actions (that her sister shouldn't have been near his "business" at the time) hasn't endeared him to anyone. Despite his fearsome reputation [[DirtyCoward he doesn't actively participate unless he can be sure his opponents are at his mercy]] and outside of wanting to avenge both his deaths, the gangster prefers to not get involved with fellow Jojo deities...more out of pragmatism, and not having any lofty interest like Dio and Pucci's Heaven Plan. He's still begrudgingly thankful for the latter unlocking his Stand, but the former? He's intimidated by him, to be honest.
* His control of the dead makes him an honorary member of the House of Pantheon/UndeadAndPhasmata, and a tricky opponent to those who oppose the undead. He can't help any undead member by making them invisible and inaudible as Limp Bizkit only does that on corpses it raises, but he can bolster their numbers. However he rarely enters that House because he is terrified of two heavy hitters present; Nekron and Nagash. [[EvilVersusOblivion He considers them insane]] and is mortally afraid of them subverting his Stand's thralls (or even himself if he becomes a zombie) to their purposes. Because of how his Stand worked, [[Pantheon/{{Zombies}} Springtrap]] let Sports Maxx make an invisible zombie out of him since while animated he is technically a corpse. The result is an invisible form of William Afton's body inside the suit. Sports Maxx hasn't tried experimenting with other undead out of fear it might backfire, since the mauve murderer only did it basically as a favor/out of scientific curiosity.
* Because his Stand can work even as a member of the undead, Nekron is considering the option of a Black Lantern Sports Maxx, and so are others with power over necromancy. SCP-049 is intrigued by his invisible Stand zombies, and has stated that he wishes to study him and his Stand as he believes replicated the effect will have his own undead more effective helpers with invisibility as a power. Fortunately for many [[Pantheon/SourcesOfInformation in the SCP Foundation]] Sports Maxx refuses to be anywhere near the Plague Doctor. He even had a nightmare where he was turned into an instance of SCP-049-2, still possessing the power of his Stand but becoming a full thrall instead of a RevenantZombie. The gangster is also fearful of Tartarus; he doesn't want to be moved to a literal hellish prison, though he has reminded that you have to ''really'' be a dick for the Greek gods to send you there.
* Harry Potter and Thel 'Valdem aren't impressed by Sports Maxx in the slightest. They're heroic characters who utilize invisibility cloaks, so seeing someone reprehensible like Sports Maxx wear them isn't something they like to see. The enemy Stand user isn't interested in what they think, but he has wondered; if Stands are usually invisible to non-Stand users anyway, would the tricks to expose his Limp Bizkit zombies even work for them? Questions that the Invisible Man might solve. Being a criminal fiend and a MadScientist he decided to go along with Sports Maxx's mafia schemes in hopes somehow he can gain a Stand of his own. Sports Maxx wants him to make a variant of his serum that lets him be invisible without having to die and be zombified for it.
* Is decidedly not a [[NeighborhoodFriendlyGangsters neighborhood friendly gangster]] like Bucciarati's gang, and he can only imagine how awkward their interactions with Ermes might be. [[PragmaticVillainy He's level-headed enough to know antagonizing them would be a poor decision]], which is why he's not teaming up with [[Pantheon/{{Reclusiveness}} Diavolo]] to climb the organized crime ladder (that and [[BadBoss Diavolo has a reputation]]). Rather, he's joined La Squadra Esecuzioni, who are more willing to tolerate his nasty side. [[EnemyMine Due to their armistice with Bucciarati's gang]], Sports Maxx may be hedging his bets. He also is working with Walter White and Tony Montana to get money via the drug trade, plus he himself likes to partake in their drugs. Being a junkie who was closer allied to Pucci, Ungalo was offered some parties and blow in exchange for some loyalty to Sports Maxx
* While Frank Castle has contempt towards gangsters in general, he really doesn't like Sports Maxx due to what he did to Ermes' sister. As his family were casualties of a gang war, the callousness in Sports Maxx's elimination of Gloria [[BerserkButton brings up bad memories]]. The "bad memories" is why Ms Fortune and Bloody Marie want him dead, as he is every bit as ruthless and unsympathetic as the Medici that ruined their lives. [[ItsAllAboutMe Sports Maxx only started caring when he realized they planned to go after him]].
* The fact that he got a lighter sentence than he deserved is partly that he was a VillainWithGoodPublicity and a car dealer. Some have compared this to Al Capone getting busted on tax evasion. Sports Maxx noted that, as he has been working with Al Capone for "business reasons". [[VillainWithGoodPublicity He's good at the whole charming criminal facade]]. [[JuryAndWitnessTampering Also, he rigged the trial for a lighter sentence]]. The House of Pantheon/LawAndJustice wasn't proud of that one, nor the fact that he's only trying to act in good behavior to get parole. Realizing he may need to rethink his scheme, he has asked Manfred Von Karma to act as his attorney and in return he can expected to be paid handsomely...and his men will try to get rid of some of his enemies to sweeten the deal. Phoenix Wright and his friends were appalled at this.
* Light Yagami sees Sports Maxx as validation on why he should kill criminals even when they're in jail. Unlike some who pointed to Kira being far more dangerous than Sports Maxx, the Stand gangster couldn't care about his justice spiel and just wants to avoid having another hit on him. The Phantom Thieves of Heart, however, believe what he ''really'' needs [[HeelFaceBrainwashing is his heart stolen]]. He's not someone like Dio [[CardCarryingVillain who knows what he is]] or some non-human being so he absolutely has a Palace they could steal his heart (unless he's in zombie mode). Sae Niijima sees Sports Maxx as the kind of person who helped fuel her old cynical perspective on law, so she's all for it. [[FateWorseThanDeath The gangster would honestly prefer his name be written in the Death Note than deal with them]].
* During his time in jail he has taken up the hobby of taxidermy. It foreshadows his necromancy skills, and [[TaxidermyIsCreepy kind of tells you he's]] [[AxCrazy not the most stable of fellows]]. Some think he and [[Pantheon/EvilActions Brian Irons]] might get along with their shared hobby, and while Sports Maxx admits he could do with a DirtyCop [[EvenEvilHasStandards he considers Brian Irons a pervert]]. He also didn't appreciate a male inmate feeling up a female inmate so beat him up. [[{{Jerkass}} He's hardly a pleasant person]] when not acting nice [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain and has a habit of calling women "bitches"]], so this little moment of humanity hasn't endeared him to anyone.
* Not at all proud of how he died the first time, that being [[UndignifiedDeath drowning in a sewage pipe]]. Anyone who says he "ate shit and died" [[BerserkButton will find themselves at the mouth end of invisible alligator zombies]]. Another way to make him angry is to ask him if he met [[Pantheon/{{Reptiles}} the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles]] on his way out. Bad memories are also the reason why he has a burning hatred for the Great, Mighty Poo so he flung a hoard of invisible flies on him. Sports Maxx eventually blew the whole thing off with some HookersAndBlow at [[Pantheon/EstablishmentsAndDistricts the Succubus District]]. It's pretty typical of him, though even with the fact they're [[CuteMonsterGirl monster girls]] he still thinks [[TooImportantToRememberYou he's too important to remember their name]].

* Opposed by: The House of Pantheon/FamilyAndRelatives
* Thomas Elliot was, at least to outlookers, a successful doctor and son of a respected wealthy family. He was a good friend to Bruce Wayne. But behind this was an emotionally damaged sociopath with an obsession of cutting his old friend down to size for perceived crimes. In his efforts he uses his surgical skills to impersonate himself as Bruce Wayne, something he's good at. He's one of the more obsessed and personal foes of the Caped Crusader, being one of a few who knows he is the Batman. As a supervillain, he's known as Hush.
* Though [[AxCrazy criminally psychotic]], he's a genuinely good surgeon. The problem is that he uses these techniques in his feuds. This often puts him in opposition to Dr Jack Black, who's an honest surgeon with less severe daddy issues compared to [[AbusiveParents Dr Elliot]]. He's done some honest, good work for the Evil Queen in order to restore her beauty from her transformation. This is almost certainly down to relating to her envy towards [[Pantheon/{{Contempt}} Snow White]].
* [[VillainsOutShopping Business-wise you can find him in]] the House of Pantheon/{{Physicians}}. Just remember the risk of someone like him doing work for you, but even some good-aligned deities admit he does a damn good job. Mad Eye Moody is on constant vigilance for Hush as a consequence of Barty Crouch Jr's impressive impersonation of him. What did Hush feel about that?
-->'''Dr Elliot''': "[[VillainRespect Oh]], [[ArsonMurderAndAdmiration Barty's good at it. Real good]]. If he ever ascends I think I'll ask him for Polyjuice Potion, but I'll need a palate cleaner afterwards.
* This conflict with Mad-Eye Moody led to another Death Eater, Wormtail, noticing Hush. Though not an impersonator, he did manage to hide under the radar for over a decade as a rat. He's also an EvilFormerFriend, something they talked about. However Hush rightfully pointed out that he's trying to hide under his shadow. Peter admitted yes, but his magical skill could aid him and he's more clever than he looks [[DirtyCoward despite his lack of bravery]]. For now Hush tolerates Peter because of his potential usefulness, but in no way likes him.
* What's Hush's beef with Batman anyway? [[FreudianExcuse Well, his childhood was pretty shitty]]. While the Waynes were loving parents, the Elliots were emotionally void and uncaring of him, being [[StepfordSmiler Stepford Smilers]] for the public. [[SelfMadeOrphan So he cut their brakes to get his insurance]]. And he's angry at Bruce because his dad saved momma Elliot. [[TheResenter So he resents Bruce for a loving family]]. According to later sources, he finished them off so he could be more like [[MyParentsAreDead Bruce]]. Yes it's psychotic, but really what do you expect from a Batman supervillain? [[{{Hypocrite}} But he doesn't like "costumed freaks"]].
* Don't point out that he's one of the "costumed freaks". Not helping is his association with other "costumed freaks", namely Dr Griffin. The potential for his invisibility to be studied and applied in a surgical manner makes Hush smile. By contrast Joshua Graham dislikes him giving the BandagedFace a bad name, which Elliot encourages by opposing him to seem like less of a "costumed freak".
* [[AssholeVictim While his parents were total tools]], the House of Family still doesn't like him. He doesn't care much for Lady Tremaine, who scoffed at this being "down to mommy issues". Mr Burns could relate oddly enough to him, being an evil rich guy who's cause of parents' death is "got in my way" (he tried pulling the plug on his mom and was mad at her affair with [[UsefulNotes/WilliamHowardTaft President Taft]], but she lived another five decades). He seems to be financing Dr Elliot for his medical know-how and believing he can make some sort of commercial scheme of Hush. But mainly because he'd love to cut down the competition of Bruce Wayne.
* Shares a deep envy and obsession that struck an accord with Vlad Masters and Syndrome, leading to a VillainTeamup against [[Pantheon/{{Ghosts}} their respective]] [[Pantheon/FamilyAndRelatives nemeses]]. When it comes to evil rich folk he's also teamed up with Princess Morbucks, who in her own way is trying to fill the form of another superhero.
* Mimikyu, despite her obsession with Pikachu, regards Hush's obsession with Bruce [[EveryoneHasStandards to be quite insane]]. As does Arsene Lupin, who Elliot considers a major rival given his impersonations. Hush doesn't like the Shadow much either, as he reminds the surgeon of Batman.
* Dr Elliot is friends with another killer who utilized surgical impersonation; Yoshikage Kira. Hush is glad to meet a killer [[TheyLookJustLikeEveryoneElse who is practical and calm]], not being one of those "costumed freaks" he dislikes. Kira's desire for a quiet and peaceful life is a goal Hush respects, though compared to him Kira is more capable of [[AffablyEvil genuine friendliness]] even if both are [[TheSociopath sociopaths]]. Hanging around Kira alerted [[Pantheon/{{Upbringing}} Josuke]] and friends to another dangerous murderer on the loose.
* Mario holds a dislike of Dr Elliot because of his experiences with a criminal impersonator, Doopliss. However Doopliss had a HeelFaceTurn, while Hush certainly isn't in the mood for it. 403* It is not know how Lupin made it to the Pantheon, or how long he was already here if he somehow had. What is known is that when Lupin was found out, it was when Sherlock Holmes, while out on a walk with his 'granddaughter' [[Pantheon/NamingTheme Shellingford]], encountered some nondescript guy (that wasn't [[Pantheon/{{Attitude}} Kellam]]), ''instantly'' knew it was Lupin (which the thief referred to as looking through his soul), and a merry chase ensued. And because this is the Pantheon, with plenty of supernatural deities, not to mention many other masters of disguise, Lupin wasn't able to stay hidden for long. Once brought before the Court of the Gods, he was given his current title so that he can be kept an eye on.
* Has mixed opinions on his supposed grandson Lupin III. On one hand, he is considerably less subtle than his grandfather, especially when dealing with the ladies. 407** Also for reasons above, he's naturally an enemy to most gods in the House of Pantheon/LawAndJustice.
* He's heard that Tintin uses a lot of disguises throughout his adventures, but given which side of the law he's in, they oppose one another.

* Being his most "local" enemy he has in the Pantheon, [[Pantheon/{{Language}} Hercule Poriot]] has taken it to himself to bring Lupin to justice.
* He has a set of items known as "Lupin Collection", which has the power to destroy planets when brought together. 438** While visiting Dick, Patroclus discovered that his incarnation in the DC universe was actually reincarnated as Patrick Cleese, who ends up in a relationship with DC's version of Achilles, who was revived by Zeus to try and better humanity.

* Opposes: House of Pantheon/{{Alcohol}}
* Helen Graham was the long-suffering wife of the caddish Arthur Huntingdon, who she married out of a naive belief that it was her duty to help him mend his ways. Arthur had no interest in doing so and proved himself irredeemable, prompting Helen to take their young son (also named Arthur) and flee somewhere out of his reach. She settled at a manor called Wildfell Hall, claimed to be a widow and painted for a living, attracting much gossip, as well as the romantic attentions of Gilbert Markham, to whom she recounted her story to explain why she could not freely return his interest. However Huntingdon's dissolute lifestyle didn't take long to kill him, fully freeing Helen from his yoke and allowing her to start anew.
* The Pantheon decided to have her ascended for FalseWidow, as that was her guise while running away from Huntingdon's abuse and toxic influence he had on their son Arthur. They were impressed that even when her dreams of "fixing" Huntingdon came crashing down, she remained strong-willed enough to want to escape such a horrible married life, despite it going against most rules of the time, and so thought she was worthy of godhood. They're also hoping her story will serve as a cautionary tale about the dangers of wanting to live out such a fantasy.
* Elizabeth and Darcy were among the first to welcome her with open arms, knowing a place like the Pantheon would seem quite overwhelming to someone like her. Hearing her story made them interested in her, and they were disgusted at Huntingdon's caddish behavior, which reminded them of George Wickham, who they can only pray won't turn out so bad now that he's Elizabeth's youngest sister's husband. Besides that, and being a rather progressive couple, they approve of Helen's course of action in abandoning Huntingdon and making a living on her own, given Huntingdon was definitely not worth it. As Helen was scrutinized for being an independent woman, she finds the two to be people of sense and rather refreshing to talk to.
* Helen's identity as a widow may have been a guise (even if it ended up becoming the real thing due to Huntingdon dying as a result of his own decadence), but that doesn't lessen the respect Jill [=McBain=] has for her for standing her ground and doing what she thought was best, despite all the odds being stacked against her. The sentiment is mutual, with Helen being shocked at how Jill's circumstances were a lot more extreme, including being targeted for assassination due to refusing to give up on fulfilling her dead's husband's dream.
* Helen is a pretty talented painter, and she used that skill to make money for herself and her son while hiding from Huntingdon. The House of Pantheon/{{Craft}} is thus very welcoming to her and they're always willing to show her paintings. It was at such an exhibit that Helen came across Suzu Houjou, and both admired their skills. They also hit it off and became friends given the many difficulties they have gone through in their lives, even if they're of a pretty different nature, as Suzu's problems had more to do with surviving a war while her (loving) husband was off fighting. Either way, the two women still had to deal with surviving on their own, so they're pretty supportive of each other and are occasionally seen paiting together.
* For a more unusual friendship, Helen found she felt some affinity for the horse Black Beauty when she hired him one day to help carry her painting supplies. This is because of her learning about all the abuse and mistreatments Black Beauty went through due to people who thought of him like a machine rather than a living being with needs. Helen was surprised she would see something of her situation in an animal of all things, but at the end of the day, they're both beings that were taken for granted and lorded over by cruel people, so they understand each other's feelings. It also helps that Black Beauty is quite the gentleman for a horse, and Helen always makes sure to treat him properly and reward him when he helps her.
* The tale of ''Beauty and the Beast'' and its lesson that women should be virtuous to their husbands even if they seem monstrous would be the kind of thing that would make Helen roll her eyes, given she now spurns such fantasies. She was thus fairly skeptical about Belle and Beast, but after learning Belle made it clear she had no intention of putting up with the Beast's bad temper, and that he made efforts to improve on his own, Helen became much more sympathetic to them, recognizing that some people ''can'' change. And of course she detests their nemesis Gaston, who she has no doubt would be a boorish and abusive husband to Belle, possibly worse than Huntingdon.
* Helen heard of Hans Westergard and how he succeeded in fooling Princess Anna into thinking he was a true PrinceCharming, just to get at her older sister Elsa's throne. Helen is relieved that the whole matter failed to work in his favor and that he never managed to marry Anna before exposing his true colors, saving the princess from much misery and teaching her to be more sensible in matters of love.
* There are many more abusers Helen despises. There's Akio Ohtori, whose status as the PrinceCharming of his world made him entitled when it comes to women, Embryo, who has some very contradictory opinions of what strong women should be, and Nobuyuki Sugou, a pure slimeball who was perfectly willing to marry a comatose young girl without her consent. The things these men were capable of truly terrify Helen, and moreso the fact that they managed to get away with it for so long on the strength of a good reputation.
* Despises alcohol, since both her father and Huntingdon were susceptible to alcoholism, making Helen's life even more miserable. She trained her son to dislike it with that in mind. You will never find her in the House themed around the substance; a lot of deities treat it as a cool place to party and being inhabited by some of the funniest gods, but Helen doesn't find it the least bit amusing and thinks they're trivializing the troubles alcohol can bring.
* Although Helen won't put a foot in a pub, that didn't stop Jill Stingray, bartender of the VA-11 Hall-A, from visiting her herself. She had heard of Helen running away from her husband and it reminded her of how she had run away from her girlfriend Lenore herself, and was curious as to what Helen would make of that. Admittedly, Jill's circumstances were not as bad as Helen's, since Lenore wasn't actively abusive (but she was a tad controlling) and the whole thing was due to an argument gone awry. Helen, sensing that the two actually did love each other (and after taking a moment to accept the concept of two women in such a relationship), finds Jill's case to be pitiful, especially how she never saw Lenore again before she died, but still sympathizes with Jill's motives for running away if Lenore really was so overbearing.

* [[NoNameGiven Octodad is not his actual name.]] It's just that "Blurberulb" is a strange name, and Octodad is easier to say. Still, why would a normal guy like him be called Octodad? Maybe he just likes Octopi.
* There's a sushi chef who claims that this regular family guy is actually an octopus in disguise. However, [[AxCrazy considering that this sushi chef is clearly insane, stark raving mad and obviously deluded]], there's absolutely no credibility in his claims and words whatsoever.
* Surprisingly enough, Octodad frequently shows up in ''WebAnimation/VideoGameChampionshipWrestling'' as a wrestler (though his clumsiness means that [[{{Jobber}} he tends to lose more than he wins]]). 498* Gets along with Homer Simpson, since they're both bumbling fathers. Although Homer thinks that there's something weird about Octodad, he just can't quite put the finger on what exactly it is.

* Vincent was born into a world where genetic selection made it possible to have babies with the specific hereditary characteristics desired by the parents, while erasing any potential downsides. Vincent was naturally conceived, leaving his genetic traits up to chance; consequently, his prognosis included myopia, several mental disorders, a heart condition and a life expectancy of 30 years. Despite that, Vincent nurtured a dream: becoming an astronaut. Unfortunately, his society practiced genetic discrimination (regardless of it being technically illegal) and so the best he could hope for was a janitor job at Gattaca Aerospace Corporation. However, Vincent found a workaround: through a very complex process, he adopted the identity of embittered, wheelchair-bound, former swimming star Jerome Morrow (who was in on it) and passed off his perfect genes as his own. Vincent got a job as navigator at Gattaca, getting selected for a mission to the moon Titan. But then, a Gattaca higher-up was found murdered and Vincent became the prime suspect when one of his eyelashes was found, nearly blowing his cover. He dodged authorities until the true culprit, the mission director, was found. Afterwards, he was finally able to depart to Titan, fulfilling his dream.
* As the shuttle passed by Titan, Vincent suddenly found himself on the moon's surface without so much as a space suit, somehow, as though he was in a dream, which he assumed was the case. Since he might as well, he walked around and contemplated the rocky, desolate landscape while reflecting on all the events that led him there, until he chanced upon a very monolith-like doorway to seemingly nowhere. He went through it because, again, might as well, and his surroundings changed completely to a very different kind of place, much to his surprise. He took his time exploring this place too, introducing himself with his borrowed identity of Jerome Morrow to be safe, or maybe out of habit. At some point he was detained by some cops, who asked him to come along and he did so, not seeing a way out of this. He was brought to the Main House, whose mysterious inhabitants called him by his true name of Vincent Freeman, making him break out in a cold sweat. He was then congratulated for the very intricate way in which he borrowed someone else's identity and offered deification for it, catching Vincent completely off-guard. At any rate, the details were hashed out (including making Vincent sure he knew this wasn't a dream) and he accepted his title; he still retains his drive to explore space and outer worlds, after all.
* Due to his high likelihood to develop a serious heart disease, the House of Pantheon/HealthAndDiseases keeps him on their watchlist and he often has to check in with them, which naturally led to him making some close friends there. Chief among them is Ruben Stone, who had ambitions of becoming a metal drummer that got derailed as he found himself slowly becoming deaf. Given Vincent was told his entire life that his dream of going to space was impossible on account of his many genetic problems and it was practically a stroke of luck and a lot of illegality that made it feasible for him, he can sympathize with Ruben's tragic fate, though he also wants to believe it is not entirely over for him, given he does have his cochlear implants. However, Ruben seems to have come to terms that his condition means forfeiting his dream and he's not really interested in going back on that resolution or following Vincent's example. Ruben does admire Vincent's resolution to pursue his dream despite everything and is rooting for him, but he thinks it can't happen for himself; the nature of their disabilities (or "disabilities" in Vincent's case) is simply too different.
* In the Pantheon, the knowledge of Vincent's conditions is easily accessed by any deity who cares to know, whether he likes it or not. Even so, when it comes to doctors, Vincent prefers those that won't disclose any sensitive information about his health that could compromise his career, causing him to favor back-alley sorts like Black Jack. The doctor with the skin-grafted face is more than happy to assuage Vincent's fears, so long as he knows it'll cost him a pretty penny. Fortunately for Vincent, he's learned to compensate for that pretty penny through his underground dealings; you don't sustain a borrowed identity 24/7 without learning some useful tricks.
* He comes from a world where he was discriminated against for not being genetically enhanced, so he has reason to take issue with the whole notion of DesignerBabies and eugenics. Those who agree with him feel that Vincent is living proof of genetic engineering being a faulty science, given he was one of the best at his dream job regardless of any undesirable traits he might have had. With that said, Vincent realizes demonizing all DesignerBabies is idiotic (his brother, girlfriend and patron are part of them, after all) and he went on to befriend some he met in the Pantheon, such as Kira Yamato, rather ironically since Kira is extra-special even compared to the typical DesignerBabies in his universe. Despite that, Vincent could respect Kira for valuing the lives of both Naturals (people like Vincent) and Coordinators (people like Kira) equally and adopting a pacifistic stance in a horrific war that pitted the two factions against each other, choosing to wield his supreme weapon, the Gundam, mainly as a deterrent. If Vincent is honest, this makes him wonder whether his own world might be on the verge of a similar conflict with the way people like him are kept in inferior conditions. But on a more positive note, he is completely marveled at the strides in space travel and colonisation that have been taken in Kira's universe.
* Given his occupation as an astronaut and navigator, he spends a lot of time working at the House of Pantheon/SpaceAndCosmos plotting out routes for the spaceships and often going on voyages himself in the vast and diverse expanse that the Pantheon offers. He's made a lot of friends in fellow astronauts as a consequence, with John Crichton being someone Vincent found similarities with given Crichton is used to hiding an aspect of himself to thrive (namely, pretending to be dumb to hide his intelligence). Vincent also enjoyed learning that Robert Capa is not an astronaut, but still made himself essential to a mission by being the only one to fully understand what was to be done in reigniting the sun. Plenty of deities hoping to become astronauts admire Vincent for achieving his goal against all odds, as well, such as the Kaito Momota, the girls of the Earth Sciences Club or the Kamen Rider Club; in the latter case, Vincent also liked that Kamen Rider Fourze is an astronaut-themed superhero, as well as the fact that they have the Rabbit Hutch, which allows one to walk on the surface of the moon; besides that, he can certainly relate to their efforts to cover up Gentaro's activity as Kamen Rider, being reminded of all the people who took pains to cover for himself as well.
* There are some who would gladly put obstacles in the way of humanity traveling through space; malignant alien races aside, two that Vincent could feasibly handle on his own are HAL 9000, a computer originally meant to aid a crew en route to Jupiter that ended up killing most of the astronauts out of fear of being shut down after making an error. Nowadays, HAL spends his time plotting humanity's demise along some other machines, occasionally acting out to make things difficult for other astronauts out of revenge; he's still primitive enough that Vincent can simply enter his core and disconnect him unimpeded. The other one Vincent can deal with is Pinbacker, Robert Capa's enemy and an astronaut who abandoned his mission to restore the sun after going mad during the voyage and convincing himself the sun should go out and humanity should go extinct. Pinbacker's issues stemming from SpaceMadness is something for Vincent to keep in mind so he doesn't suffer the same fate while traveling through his beloved cosmos.
* Even though HAL 9000 sets a bad example, Vincent had a good time in one of his voyages when EVE was assigned to aid the crew and brought WALL-E along. The two bots were friendly, kind and helpful in their own ways, and Vincent could see something of himself in WALL-E, who was far less advanced than EVE and designed for compacting trash instead of traveling through space, but the goggle-eyed little robot didn't let his supposed inferiority bother him and simply followed his heart, and how can Vincent not respect that kind of determination. WALL-E's relationship with EVE also reminds Vincent of his own relationship with his girlfriend Irene.
* His lifelong goal of going to space barely escaped becoming a TragicDream, so when he heard the jokes about how Poland "cannot into space", as the saying goes, Vincent did not find it funny at all. After getting over the fact that Poland, ''an entire country'', was somehow a single living being in the Pantheon and represented as a ball in the colors of its flag, Vincent could easily relate to his frustration over not being able to go to space due to his innate characteristics preventing him from doing so. Even worse, space apparently came to Poland (somehow) and promptly killed Earth's whole population, and apparently any shuttle that tries to carry Poland runs into massive danger of getting destroyed, so Vincent is highly discouraged from doing him the solid of smuggling him in a shuttle or do something else to help him realize his dream, and you can believe that Vincent often feels strongly tempted to. He sure admires the determination with which Poland keeps trying again and again, despite that.
* Vincent's unsupportive father once told him that the only way he'd ever go to space is if he were hired to clean the shuttle. Vincent was thus amused (in a bittersweet way) to make his acquaintance with the Aerospace Sanitation Inc. Janitor, whose entire job is exactly what Vincent's father had (wrongly) predicted for him. Or perhaps not exactly, as the Janitor is specialized in cleaning much bloodier messes than what Vincent is used to seeing, and in much shadier circumstances. Vincent prefers not to know what's going on there for fear of getting in more trouble with authorities, but it's difficult not to respect the Janitor's nerves of steel to hold such an occupation. He figures the Janitor must be paid pretty well too (they totally have the right to), though in any case he would not consider regressing in his career at this point in time.
* Many characters who make use of the BorrowedBiometricBypass usually do so in a much shorter timeframe than Vincent does, and sometimes in much more violent ways such as cutting off arms, eyes or other body parts. Vincent had to do his own share of painful or disgusting stuff to make things work, and he almost backed off entirely when he was told he had to have a very painful operation to increase his height so it matched Jerome's. Still, he soldiered on, and just thanks his lucky stars he didn't have to have his eyes replaced as well (lenses sufficed), or something equally awful. That's why John Anderton's story stuck out to him; in order to hide his identity, he had to have eye transplant surgery so he could fool retina scans, and on top of that he barely managed to dodge authorities while he was healing. And all this was because Anderton was signaled by his world's Precrime program, which predicts crimes and sends out warrants to arrest the future perpetrators before anything can happen. Vincent hates the notion that everything is predetermined and unchangeable, so for him the Precrime program is something to be despised. He felt rather vindicated to learn that Anderton's efforts to get to the bottom of things averted Precrime's predictions and even led to the end of the program entirely. For scoffing at their world's systems of predetermination, the two wound up easily becoming good friends.
