26	* Really, the premise of the movies. A sociopathic KnightTemplar with [[{{Ubermensch}} a messy moral philosophy]] is forcing people to mutilate themselves as a form of "rehabilitation" or else they die... and that's because said sociopath believes they're wasting their lives in immorality without suffering for it. Now, if you happen to have done any of the things that got characters in the films killed (which include self-harming, drugs, alcohol abuse, getting a divorce, taking antidepressants, being even slightly unfaithful to your partner, lying about your health, and more) and then are foolish enough to watch the movies, good luck sleeping. You'll be checking your closets for people in pig masks for weeks.
27	** The worst part is that many of the people who do survive (and nine out of ten times, come out very traumatized) by these traps ''[[UsefulNotes/StockholmSyndrome end up as his own most devoted disciples]]''. Just look at Amanda, Dr. Gordon and Logan.
28	* Billy the Puppet. Granted, he looks pretty inconspicuous on and doesn't really do anything other than deliver messages, but just look at this thing. He looks like a twisted cross between a ventriloquist dummy and a harlequin [[RedEyesTakeWarning with bright, angry red eyes]] and even appears to be moving on his own in some scenes. And that's ''before'' he starts speaking with Jigsaw's raspy mechanical voice to deliver a [[BreakingSpeech cruel take-down of you]], and you realize he might be ''the last'' face you ever see before you [[CruelAndUnusualDeath meet an incredibly gruesome demise.]]

33	* The premise to the first game - Tapp, having survived being shot thanks to Jigsaw's intervention, wakes up to find himself trapped in an abandoned insane asylum that Jigsaw has converted into his own labyrinth, where he's set up his deadly traps at every corner.
34	** On top of that, Tapp quickly learns he's not the only one trapped in the asylum, with seemingly a dozen other people also stuck as they also must survive Jigsaw's traps. You'll come across many other victims having been brutally killed after failing to survive.
35	* One victim in the first game is Melissa Sing, the wife of Tapp's late partner Steven, whose life just went to Hell after Steven's death. She's let her grief over her husband's death and hatred of Tapp for supposedly getting him killed get so bad that [[ParentalNeglect she's been neglecting her son]], sending him to school clothed in dirty clothes and unfed. And even after Child Protective Services have been called, she's still not changing. Really makes you feel scared for anyone in the son's shoes, even if you sympathize with Melissa's obvious depression.
36	* In the second game, you meet a victim named Zeke, who's in something like the glass box trap from ''Saw II''. This destroys his hands. When you see him again, his hands are gone, and knives have been implanted on the ends of them. [[AssholeVictim This can be ameliorated by the fact]] [[PaedoHunt that Zeke is a child molester]], but there's something else to bear in mind. When you first meet him, Zeke is acting perfectly normal. When you see him next, [[AxCrazy he's jibbering, "slicey-slicey-kill-kill" mad]]. The movies show [[DespairEventHorizon that regular minds are broken by this process]]. This is the first time one's been flat-out ''[[SanitySlippage shattered]]''.
37	* Also in the second game is Solomon, whose trap has him tied to a rack and placed over burners on a track. Michael has to push him around, solving the puzzles that unlock the gates to move on all while keeping him off of the burners that are spewing flames. Imagine being in that man's shoes: having to trust someone to keep you moving forwards out of the danger of being cooked alive, all while there's a fire igniting under you...
