1	* The sequel's website's character page is animated using clips from the game. One charming instance has [=GLaDOS=] up in your face.
2	* Brock's TwitchyEye and DeathGlare make a disturbing combination, especially up close.

4	** If beaten by a particularly good hand, he might stab the table and choke out, "Good hand", in the midst of barely-restrained rage.
5	** When he's the last to be eliminated, he'll let out a deep SkywardScream over the loss of his bounty item. And if he's not, he still glares and growls at you.
6	* Ash questions why Sam doesn't hire an exorcist to handle the possessed [=DeSoto=] Adventurer. Sam informs that the subject drives Max to twist his head and vomit. Following this is an amusing but unnerving sequence of a fiery-headed Max floating by and droning ominously. Although it becomes NightmareRetardant when he vomits offscreen.

8	* In the ''Franchise/EvilDead'' room, Max awakens the Necronomicon by butchering the incantation. This drives the wicked tome to frantically fly around and consume the first player to bust (although [[SnapBack he'll return come the next game]]). Ash's panic when the Necronomicon dives for him is particularly notable, considering [[NightmareFuel/EvilDead what he's been through]].
9	** It doesn't help that when Ash is the victim, Max is unabashedly sadistic about siccing the Necronomicon onto him. Or that he's just as willing to do the same to Sam (although he then talks about editing the text, possibly to help Sam).
10	** The ''Franchise/EvilDead'' room itself has creepy little touches. An OminousFog shrouds the stage. Instead of music, you get ambient background noises. And the Necronomicon's shrieks and murmurs are heard as you select the cards, chips, and table.
11	* After Ash and Brock fail to recommend a good barber for him, Sam laments that Max will probably have to cut his hair from now on. The camera focuses as Max slowly tilts his head and locks on the lagomorph's more-sinister-than-normal SlasherSmile. Even worse, Max doesn't say a thing.
