4	* The entire concept of the Jovenia incident as a whole gets [[FridgeHorror more and more horrifying the longer you think about it]]. The fact that the entire population of the world is reduced to a child form invites a lot of TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior of course, but there's also the fact that NotGrowingUpSucks and while everyone's is TheAgeless and cannot die of old age, they are also prebubescent and [[SterilityPlague cannot have children]]. Simply put, the Jovenia effect is just a very drawn out apocalypse.
5	* Gryf's hallucination of Elysio having an especially scary SlasherSmile (coupled with RedEyesTakeWarning) before leaving him fall from a cliff. [[spoiler:bonus point due to it being some kind of nightmare.]]
6	* Halan's soldiers' fate in Book 5; when the Legendaries and Halan arrive in the camp, all they can find are empty clothes. They are then attacked by Chaos Shades. They fight them, destroy them... and then Danael reveals Chaos Shades actually are humans transformed through Darkhellion stingers, implying those they just killed ''were'' the soldiers.
7	* Gryf's expression when in Chakounia state can be quite frightening.
8	* Anathos' NoHoldsBarredBeatdown of the Legendaries in Book 10: [[spoiler: he [[DemonicPossession reincarnates in]] [[TheHero Danael]], [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice stabs]] [[MagicalGirl Jadina]], [[ScarsAreForEver scars]] [[TheLancer Gryf]] all over his body, [[EyeScream pierce Shimy's eyes with a]] FlamingSword and [[AnArmAndALeg cut off]] [[TheBigGuy Razzia's]] arm]]. In a series that until then mostly relied on BloodlessCarnage, this scene is incredibly violent and graphic.
9	** And then it goes FromBadToWorse when he defeats and murders [[spoiler:[[AntiVillain Darkhell and Elysio]]]], kills ''[[PhysicalGod the Guardian]]'', turns the whole Island into the [[BaseOnWheels Castlewar]] and uses it to [[KickTheDog NukeTheDog]] by killing a whole city with one shot.
10	* The victims of Anathos' plague in Book 11. Large amount of BodyHorror involved.
11	* Similarly, Dark-Jadina's hinted MindRape of Tenebris. All we get to see from it is Dark-Jadina licking her lips while wondering how though Tenebris' spirit is. Later, when Jadina arrives, she is shown a broken and heavily injured Tenebris. God knows what they did to her.
12	* [[spoiler:Anathos' execution of Dark-Jadina: after failing, she goes to him begging him to forgive her. Anathos states he forgives her, and the two seems to share a moment... then Anathos cold-blooded bow her head off.]]
13	* [[spoiler:Kasino]]'s death in Book 13: [[spoiler:when first shown, it's from the Legendaries' point of view, who see Jadina impaling him on her bare hand and sucking his blood on her thumb. It's later revealed it was actually Tenebris doing it and their vision of Jadina was because of Abyss' illusion.]]
14	* The discovery of [[spoiler:Jadina]]'s dead body in the final panel of Book 13.
15	* Jadina, being sentenced to death, gets a visit from her father who, believing her to be an impostor, wishes her to rot in hell before leaving. This causes her to have a ''huge'' HeroicBSOD and screaming of dispair. Cut to Vangelis apparently hearing the scream and [[KickTheDog pointing out how beautiful of a day it is.]]
16	* Abyss' VillainousBreakdown is quite disturbing on many level, especially the way he suddenly turns out to be a cruel homicidal sociopath [[spoiler: [[BitchInSheepsClothing when he was so nice at the beginning]]. His [[IncestSubtext attitude with Tenebris]] and his [[FamilyUnfriendlyDeath apparent death]] only makes it worst.]]
17	** Also, consider the fact that, according to Tenebris, [[spoiler:he killed Vangelis before taking over his body. Abyss wasn't just doing a DeadPersonImpersonation; ''[[FridgeHorror He was going around using someone's corpse as a disguise.]]'']]
18	* Book 15 open with Skroa and new villain Sheyba attacking and savagely mauling a whole monastary to get their hands on their idol's heart. Her [[TheDragon Dragon]] Razorcat savagely slaughters the monks on her order, and is then seen ''[[IAmAHumanitarian eating them]]''.
19	* Amy's reaction to [[spoiler:seeing Skroa again after all those years]]; [[UnstoppableRage That is all]].
20	* Danael's theory about Anathos being able to spy on them through Shimy counts as full-on ParanoiaFuel.
