* Animation glitches give us a lot of fun:
** '''[[https://40.media.tumblr.com/b559f021dc75b12df577f88dd0abb41a/tumblr_njo7bf6pdK1r8kbpjo1_540.png Look at this.]]'''
** '''[[https://40.media.tumblr.com/e0e98904099d272c155ab5de4ccf1178/tumblr_ngrs07WVmv1r2vmqxo1_400.jpg Gaspard is shocked.]]'''
** [[http://youtu.be/cTisZ_gafg8 Dance off!]]
* In romance cutscenes in Skyhold, soldiers can appear.
* The scene where the Templars walk up and punch the Chantry speaker at Val Royeaux is meant to be a shocking moment, since it makes it clear something is going on, but the moment undercuts the seriousness, because watching Lucius Corin just knock-out the speaker the way he does seems comedic instead of shocking. He just waltz up, and punches an elderly woman with no real reaction.
* The cutscene leading to the penultimate level is amazing, but it sure does feature a lot of map-stabbing. Hope you didn't need those to get to the important battle!
* In the cutscene during the "In Your Heart Shall Burn" level, just after you fire the second trebuchet, one of your party members slaps you on the back to congratulate you, then looks up in shock as the Red Lyrium Dragon attacks. Or at least, it's supposed to be shock. Since the cutscene was designed so that it can be used with any one of your companions filling the slot, the animations and expressions can be kind of hit-and-miss. For some it looks like genuine shock, for others it just looks like they're going "Dohohohouh!"
** Sometimes (read: most of the time), a party member doesn't show up, leading to an awkward scene of the Inquisitor being slapped on the back by an invisible force, and then zooming in on a rather shocked-looking trebuchet.
*** The scene was scripted with the idea that it would be Varric doing the affectionate back-slap; basically, the developers failed to account for the possibility of anyone not having him along for the mission, so they didn't animate anyone else in the scene. If he's not in the party, you get the weird scene described above.
** Another moment occurs if you sided with the Mages in the story quests prior to this one: At one point, the newly-arrived Cole gestures to a far ridge, where the Inquisitor's nemesis [[BigBad Corypheus]] stands overseeing the ongoing siege. This is all well and good, but the... pose Cole makes when pointing makes it look like he is doing so in the middle of a dance routine, as if he were about to break out into song about how evil the Elder One is.
* [[spoiler: Corypheus's]] lopsided face and shattered jaw in the ending, which almost looks like a model bug over an intentional animation.
* Any time Iron Bull says "Ride the Bull." [[NarmCharm Although some people think it's cute anyway]].
%% Most of Sera's lines become very narmy thanks to her [[UnintentionalUncannyValley facial animations]] and voice acting.
* The part where the members of the Inquisition sing ''The Dawn Will Come'' after [[spoiler: the destruction of Haven]] would normally be a moving scene, but Giselle's extremely overbearing French accent and Cullen's [[LargeHam very loud]] entry into the song can ruin the mood somewhat. Not to mention the tactical idiocy of the Inquisition singing loudly on an echoing mountain while Corypheus, a Dragon and an army are scouring it looking for them.
** On the topic of Giselle, it's unfortunately hard to listen to anything she has to say with a completely straight face; her voice actress ([[https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0694310/ Sarah Powell]], if you're curious) is excellent, but unfortunately someone in the sound booth apparently felt the need to tune her mic so that it picked up ''every bit of phlegm'' in her dialogue.
* The Codex picture of a Hurlock looks less like a terrifying monster, and more like someone who stubbed his toe.
* Every single time Cassandra makes a "''[[CharacterTic Disgusted]] [[MemeticMutation Noise]]''." Much like the "Ride the Bull" example, however, this too can fall into NarmCharm territory.
* The Inquisitor's FormFittingWardrobe in Skyhold is ''beige,'' as the only color which can lessen the dramatic effect in certain scenes such the "official" crowning of the Inquisitor or giving judgments. It does have some shiny metal accents, but when you see it from afar, it looked like you're wearing a beige jumpsuit in contrast to your advisers' attire, and it ''really'' highlights the scrawniness of the elf body model. No wonder players are calling it "[[FanNickname pajamas]]". In fact, there are several mods where you can change the color (if you hate the color beige) or add several designs on your suit.
** Its 'popularity' was acknowledged by creative director Mike Laidlaw in [[http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2015/08/29/dragon-age-inquisition-pax-2015.aspx?utm_content=bufferc3c25&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer an interview with Game Informer]] about the ''Trespasser'' DLC and the addition of a wardrobe:
--->I know people will probably miss the current outfit, so it’s still there for the people who are in love with it – all three of them.
* The timing of some of the approval notifications can be a bit... off.
-->'''Vivienne:''' (''mournfully'') Bastien's dead. I can hardly believe...
-->''Vivienne Greatly Approves''
* Speaking of the judgments, the British female voice [[SuddenlyShouting can be jarring]] during the Sit in Judgment scenes, especially if she's normally fairly polite and soft-spoken.
* Briala's attire in "Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts." Every other woman of note at the ball wears either a fancy ballgown or military dress uniform. Briala, who isn't technically "attending" the ball because she's managing her agents, comes in an ankle-length dress, and footwraps that look like white socks at a glance. It comes off as her having no dress sense, or even an understanding of the term "formal attire," and makes it a lot harder to take her seriously as a result. Just like Solas' horrible hat that he wears if you bring him to the Winter Palace (which is basically a hat wore by guerilla fighters who opposed Orlesian expansionism), it is entirely possible that it is meant as a studied insult.
* Also regarding Briala, if you first encounter her after fighting Venatori instead of in the ballroom, she's less than polite to the Inquisitor. In the case of a human noble Inquisitor, however, her rudeness comes in the form of her essentially accusing them of being an alcoholic, saying how she's "surprised they got you sobered up" for the occasion. There is no explanation given for why she would say this, you can't react to it in any way, and it has nothing to do with the scene at all - pushing it into Narm territory as well as JerkAss.
* Cassandra's personal quest, where you search Caer Oswin, includes a mostly well-written scene where Cassandra finds her apprentice dying of red lyrium poisoning. When Cassandra mournfully regrets not taking Daniel away from the Seekers, Daniel replies pitifully, "You know me, I wanted that promotion." It's such an out-of-place joke, and so weirdly delivered, that Cassandra's MercyKill loses any emotional torque.
* At the end of "In Hushed Whispers", the party battles Alexius in the BadFuture he's created. It's a tense, riveting battle with waves of demons and an insane, grief-crazed magister--that ends with him on the floor gasping out ''[[{{Pun}} "Time's... up..."]]''. The fact that such a cheesy pun comes right between Felix's death and the rest of your party's HeroicSacrifice can send the mood flying all over the place.
** Once you've defeated Alexius, Dorian will kneel down sorrowfully by his mentor's corpse, mourning him. Depending on which companions were brought for the quest, either a rogue in stealth mode or [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfS5ueh9ap8 a pair of apparently possessed pants with no owner]] may walk by in the background. The result is less than dramatic.
*** The walking pants creates a hilarious CallBack for those who played ''VideoGame/DragonAgeOriginsAwakening''. Maybe Oghren was right about the "schleets" after all!
* Varric's initial reaction to [[spoiler: Hawke being left in the fade]] is somewhat undermined by the developer's inexplicable decision to use one dialogue clip twice, rather than have the voice actor repeat himself. Some players find it ruins the moment entirely.
* Between the lisp and the ElmuhFuddSyndwome, it can be very hard to take Corypheus seriously, even with the otherwise menacing dialogue.
* German players may feel mildly amused the first time they pick up a "Merkel's First" maul. When the game was released in 2014, Angela Merkel had just been reelected for her third term as the German chancellor. Mrs. Merkel's famously/notoriously cautious political style, one that sought to keep Germany and as many others as possible out of any armed conflicts, puts some extra irony on her name's association with a giant weapon of war.
* If you brought Iron Bull along into the Fade, you can later have a scene of helping him to confront his fear [[ItMakesSenseInContext (by smacking him with a stick)]]. The scene starts with Cassandra doing it, and it's possible for there to be a ''second'' Cassandra attacking the training dummies in the background.
* The game has an appropriately wide variety of both real and fictional animals suited for a high fantasy setting; On the "real" side you have familiar animals such as rams, fennec foxes, rabbits, cats, and dogs, just to name a few. On the fantasy side you have Nugs, Brontos, Gurns, Dragons (naturally), Varghests, Wyverns, Phoenixes, Bogfishers, Tuskets... and... Druffalo. No, not buffalo, I said '''''Dr'''uffalo.'' They ''look'' like buffalo, albiet with larger horns, but they're called Druffalo. The animal's name stands out on the list, given that every other fictional animal has a unique wording, and then you have a term for this bison-like animal which sounds like someone poorly attempting to make up a word that rhymes with "buffalo" for a bad poem.
* If [[spoiler: the Iron Bull betrays you]] in ''Trespasser'', it's an utterly heartwrenching scene, especially if they were your Inquisitor's love interest. That is, unless you pick the dialogue option that lead to the Inquisitor responding by saying their ''kinky safe word'' in a dramatic, heartbroken whisper, like the whole WhamEpisode is some kind of wildly overdramatic smut fic.
