Eventually, Sam has enough and tells the elephant to get lost ("AND DON'T COME BACK!!!"). In the final segment, when Sam tries to go it alone, he succeeds in blasting the drawbridge door open with dynamite ... only to find the elephant waiting for him, as he has defected to Bugs. He even makes sure Sam understands: "I'm on the good guys side, now! So take that, bad guy," swatting him away with a club and forcing Sam to concede defeat.
