* Dillon stops to water a lonely flower with the last remaining drops of water he has. (He does this again in the finale.)
* Dillon could have abandoned Ziggy in the wastelands after his failed attempt at stealing ("borrowing") his car. But because Ziggy knows how to get to Corinth, Dillon brings him along for the ride. And a good thing, too, because if they hadn't met, the other Rangers and Dr. K wouldn't have had a Ranger Black or possibly even a Ranger Green.

* Dillon, fed up with the questioning from Colonel Truman and later by Summer, asserts that he doesn't know who he is or where he's from. Summer responds with this:
-->Summer: I don't care where you came from. (She then shows Dillon's pocket watch and opens it, playing its tune.) I wanna know where you're going.
* Dillon rescues Ziggy from some angry Corinth prison inmates by starting a prison fight over Jell-O. Of course, he passes it off as just wanting some Jell-O.
* Summer continually sticks up for Dillon to the other two guys on her team, even convincing Scott to at least give him a chance to become a Ranger.

* The Rangers talk to Dillon about why Corinth is worth fighting for. After some objections, Summer tells him that he'd be the kind of person she'd want to save her. The rain begins to fall, and Dillon sees a brother and sister get under an umbrella. This event leads him to becoming Ranger Operator Series Black on the condition that Ziggy is also freed from Corinth prison--a request that is ultimately granted.
** Again, Dillon shows his more compassionate side. He could have left Ziggy to rot in prison and possibly die at the hands of some vengeful prisoners, but he instead gets the Rangers to free him.

* Dillon introduces the new Series Green to Dr. K and the Rangers: Ziggy Grover. The other Rangers are in disbelief. Dillon is the only one to defend Ziggy for accidentally becoming a Ranger to keep the Series Green morpher away from Tenaya 7.

* Dillon gets fed up with the reclusive Dr. K, even questioning "his" motives and allegiance. At the end of the episode, he apologizes to Dr. K, but his apology is refused because "he" wants to show them something: "his" real identity as a young, tiny woman. It's the start of K's process of becoming more human as she no longer hides behind a computer screen.
** Just before Dillon apologizes, Flynn congratulates him and Ziggy for their part in the day's battle. Flynn was always skeptical of Dillon and objected to Ziggy becoming Ranger Green by accident, but by now, he has accepted them as fellow teammates.
--->Flynn (ruffling Ziggy's hair): I'm proud of you boys! You did good, eh?

* After finding out about how Ziggy conned the cartels (without knowing the whole story revealed later on), Dr. K orders Colonel Truman to remove Ziggy's morpher. Dillon is the only one who sticks up for him, even telling her that she doesn't know why Ziggy did what he did.
* Benny reveals to Dr. K the real reason why Ziggy took the black market medicine for "himself"--to help the children at an orphanage. This convinces Dr. K, who recently dismissed Ziggy from the team, to come to his rescue.
* Ziggy, now having been captured by the cartels, stands up to Fresno Bob and tells him to his face that if given the chance, he'd choose to help the orphanage children again.

* Though Marcus was always Colonel Truman's favorite, Scott never showed any jealousy or resentment towards his brother. When Marcus gets shot down during the mission against Venjix, Scott calls out for him.
** As Marcus's fighter is hit, you can hear him call out to Scott, meaning his last thought was for his brother's welfare.
* Dillon's caring side comes out again when he corrects Dr. K for calling Scott "Ranger Red".
-->Dillon: Scott! His name is Scott!
* As Colonel Truman yells at Scott for disobeying orders in getting the flux overthruster, he is about to tell him that Marcus would have obeyed orders when Scott interrupts him, mentioning that Marcus would have done the same thing that he did.
* The end of the episode has Colonel Truman's reaction upon receiving his late son's Marcus's recommendation in a red envelope that Scott found along with the flux overthruster. Indeed, Scott was the right man to co-lead Eagle Squadron alongside Marcus.

* Part 1:
** Summer handles a requisite, though embarrassing, question very respectfully and with just a hint of snark thrown in. And rather than being embarrassed or feeling awkward by the question, Summer laughs kindly and chooses to feel flattered.
---> Boy: Ranger Yellow, will you marry me? \
Summer: I like a man with taste. The answer is yes.
* During the fight, one of the children on the tour comes over to Dr. K, worried about the now-enlarged attack bot. Dr. K actually takes the time to assure the girl that everything will be okay, in her own way.
--->Dr. K: Don't worry. This happens all the time.
* By the end of the episode, Dillon has had enough of Summer's snooty parents trying to control her life.
-->Dillon: I don't care who they are! No one comes in here and tells Summer what to do!
* Part 2:
** Summer talking of how Andrews has practically raised her and she doesn't even know his first name. Andrews simply smiles and says they need to go. Rather than let him carry her on his back as he'd been doing, Summer tosses her expensive shoes off and starts walking. Andrews gives a warm smile of sheer pride.
** Andrews's answer to Summer's question about why he puts up with her brattiness.
--->Andrews: I'm waiting. \
Summer: Waiting for what? \
Andrews: For you, Miss Summer. I'm waiting for you to show me who you are. Underneath that makeup, that hair, those fancy clothes, that diamond. \
Summer: I don't know who I am. \
Andrews: That's quite all right, Miss Summer. I do. That's why I'm happy to keep waiting.
** Andrews sacrifices his life for Summer, fighting off Grinders, and eventually dying in front of her, with last words that qualify as a TearJerker. This is the event that makes her give up her pampered lifestyle for good.
--->Summer (rushes to Andrews's side and takes his hand): Come on, we have to go! \
Andrews: Twenty miles straight ahead, Miss Summer. You can make it. \
Summer (fighting back tears): Not without you! Please! I still have to show you the real me, who I am on the inside, all of that! \
Andrews: You will, Miss Summer. I'll be watching, and I'll be waiting. (Andrews then dies.)
** After Summer and her parents reunite in Corinth, she overhears a radio transmission of a downed pilot. A paramedic tells her that he's too far out to rescue and that nothing can be done, especially since the city will soon close its walls. She then puts on a paramedic's coveralls and takes a motorcycle. When her parents remind her that she's a Landsdown and that Landsdowns don't help people, she simply replies, "I do now!" And she takes the Landsdown Diamond necklace off. This shows how far Summer has come from a self-centered, spoiled brat to someone who, without hesitation, helps complete strangers in need. Without her actions, Scott wouldn't have made it back to Corinth and later become Ranger Red.
** Summer's parents finally come to terms with her new lifestyle at the end of the episode. More than that: they see what a powerful and independent girl she's become, and it's clear they are proud of her. They stand up to the groom's snobby family to defend their daughter.
** It's even shown they're inspired by her heroics to reinvent themselves too.

* Flynn reuniting five-year-old Penny with her mother, when the two had been separated trying to make it to Corinth.
** Another survivor Flynn had rescued on the bus, an older woman, gives him a hug as she gets off.
* Flynn's father, [=Mr. McAllistair=], acknowledges that he had a hero in his son the whole time after he hauls in a busload of people into Corinth in the heat of battle.
* At the end of the episode, Flynn passes by his dad's shop and catches him asleep with a book over his head. The book contains articles of him as Ranger Blue saving the day.
* When Flynn's suit freezes, leaving him vulnerable to Grinder attacks, Scott gives the order for the other rangers to fall back and protect Flynn. However if you watch carefully, you may notice that Ziggy was doing this even before Scott gave the order.

* Dr. K's first flashback reveals that she wasn't always the cold, distant person she would later become. As a young girl, while riding on a tricycle, she stops when she sees another girl drawing on a paved surface with some chalk. She then offers K a piece of her chalk that she accepts with a smile on her face. In spite of her genius intellect, K was otherwise a normal child.
* Gem and Gemma give Dr. K a birthday present while in Alphabet Soup: a pencil with the five core Ranger suits' colors. It gets topped off with this exchange:
-->Dr. K: Gem, Gemma, you two should know I don't even like you. \
Gem: That's okay, we know. \
Gemma: But we can still like you, can't we?
** And she kept it!
* In one of K's flashbacks, Gem and Gemma rescue her before being killed by her Alphabet Soup minders:
-->Dr. K: I'm glad we're friends! \
Gem: Oh, yeah, so-- \
Gemma: Are we!
* After Gem and Gemma part with Dr. K to make off with the Gold and Silver Series morphers, she sees them vanish behind a wall of smoke and dust. Fearing that they have been hurt, she calls out their names. After the flashback ends, a pained expression can be seen on her face in the present. As if it weren't enough for her to be responsible for dooming the world, her mistake has seemingly claimed the lives of two people she had come to genuinely care for.
-->Gem: Head for the exit, Doctor. \
Gemma: We're going back for the classified Gold and Silver Series! \
Dr. K (as Gem and Gemma take off): Gem, Gemma, wait! No, we don't have time! \
(A wall of dust and smoke appears behind Gem and Gemma, making Dr. K believe that they have perished.) \
Dr. K: GEM! GEMMA! NO!
* Right at the end of the episode, you can see a pair of gold and silver bows tied to her console--the same ones used to wrap the pencil Gem and Gemma gave her as a birthday gift back in Alphabet Soup.

* The Sat-Bot knocks Dillon from a building. Ziggy morphs, runs, leaps after Dillon (who is now falling down), grabs him, and successfully teleports him down to the ground.
** Especially of note, Ziggy does this with no hesitation. Showing us (yet again) that his attitude is a facade and, when a friend is in need, he will step in and help them with no concern for his own safety.
* Dillon has found out that Venjix's Sat-Bot has his memories and initially stops the Rangers from destroying it. This forces a decision between getting his old memories back and his Ranger duties. He finally resolves to take down the bot once and for all.
-->Sat-Bot: You won't do it! You said it yourself: These old memories are all you have. \
Dillon: I have something else: new ones! \
(The other Rangers cheer at hearing Dillon's decision.)
** A "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" moment during the fight, but Dr. K breaks her usual custom of calling her Rangers by their titles and calls Ranger Black "Dillon" in an effort to get him to destroy the Sat-Bot.

* When scanning Dillon, now restrained to a bed, Dr. K calls him "Ranger Black", which leads Flynn and Ziggy to call her out for not calling her Rangers by their names.
-->Flynn: Odin's Beard, woman, would you just call him "Dillon"? \
Ziggy: Is there a reason you won't call us by our real names? \
Dr. K (visibly taken aback, having to pause to come up with an answer): There's a reason for everything.
* Ziggy comes up with the idea to lure Venjix's attack bot after having infected Dillon with a program to accelerate the growth of the virus inside him. You can see the pained expression on Ziggy's face. When Dr. K brings up that they'd be risking the entire city of Corinth for Ranger Black, Summer corrects her, saying that it's all for Dillon.
* Dillon gets in his car and tries to leave the Garage so as to not hurt his friends. Scott, already in his car, stops him, and even handcuffing him to himself, even risking being dragged by him. Later that night, they share a moment while in their cars, with Dillon asking him why he chained them together.
-->Scott: I don't know. I guess I'm a saint. \
Dillon: Nobody's a saint. Nobody. \
Scott: Yeah. And Dillon? \
Dillon: Yeah? \
Scott: You're welcome.

* Dillon once again plans to head outside the dome after getting a clue about his past origins. The other Rangers make it clear that they're coming with him.
-->Ziggy: Omega City, eh? \
Flynn: Well, I've always wanted to see it in its, ah, post-apocalyptic glory. \
Summer: What they're trying to say is if you go, we're coming, too. \
Scott: And if we go, I say we at least go in style, yeah?

* The vision Dillon got about Omega City was implanted by Venjix to lure him and the others outside the safety of Corinth's dome. He and his fellow Rangers prepare to head back to Corinth. When Summer tries to reassure him that they'll find the answers, Dillon responds with:
-->Dillon: You guys are the answer. I'm just ... looking for the question.
* Dr. K breaks down into tears upon seeing Gem and Gemma for the first time since Venjix attacked Alphabet Soup. And she smiles!
** The way she speaks in this tiny, fragile voice when she sees them is what sells it. There's just so much emotion packed into just their names.

* In an attempt to apologize for being cold and aloof after having been confronted by Gem and Gemma, Dr. K calls for a meeting with her Rangers. She tells them what she likes about them, calls them by their real names, and gives them all awkward hugs--even though it feels forced as she has NoSocialSkills whatsoever. (Poor Ziggy, however, is left out.)
** However, the last thing she says to them speaks volumes to her upbringing, but also to what the Ranger program has given her.
--->Dr. K: You five are the only family I've ever known. I love you all very much.
* At the end of the episode, Dr. K goes up to everyone and commends each of them on their performance that day. Then, she goes up to Ziggy with a big grin on her face. Unfortunately, another Venjix attack interrupts her from saying anything to him.

* After Dillon, Summer, and Ziggy return from the Venjix prison, Scott wastes no time in chiding Dillon for taking off without permission. But after Dillon tells Scott that he might have a sister, he relents and smiles.

* Dillon and Summer have this exchange inside the decimated Venjix prison/plant as they search for his sister:
-->Dillon: Why are you always trying to save me?! \
Summer: Because you're worth saving!

* After the Rangers successfully form the [=SkyRev=] Megazord and finish off the latest Venjix attack bot, Dr. K decides to celebrate! She kicks up her feet at her terminal and eats her cherished Mr. Marshmallow with a smile on her face the whole time.
* The end of the episode has Gem and Gemma fixing a door they broke earlier. After some struggle, Flynn and the other Series Operators offer to help them. Dr. K notifies them of another Venjix attack, and Gem and Gemma go running off again, much to Scott's aggravation. Summer offers them a ride, thus finally cementing Gem and Gemma as part of their team.

* Flynn and Summer notice that Scott is visibly upset by once again being overlooked by his father, but Gem's oblivious to this as he's still celebrating his medal. As they tell him about Scott never being noticed by his dad, Gem visibly becomes aware that he was unintentionally rubbing salt on Scott's wounds.
* Gem catches up to Scott out in the wasteland. They have a conversation about his Medal of Valor, which Gem then throws away after seeing how it upset Scott that he got the medal. Scott then picks it up and gives it back to Gem, saying that he deserves it.
* Commander Murdock grants several. He was likely trying to get the group he was captured with to Corinth, and when that falls through, he tries to pull a HeroicSacrifice to give Gem and Scott, whom he thinks are soldiers, a chance to make a run for it to Corinth. Scott and Gem then abandon their charade, morph, and rescue the prisoners.
* At the end of the episode, Colonel Truman finally gives Scott the recognition he deserves by awarding him a Medal of Valor. However, Scott, realizing that his stunt put himself, his team, and Corinth in danger, declines the medal.

* After Flynn was verbally torn to shreds by Dr. K, Gemma becomes interested in Flynn's inventions. This leads them to work together on the Road Attack Zord.
* A subtle one, but Dr. K acknowledges that redirecting the Road Attack Zord's excess energy to repair the Zords Flynn inadvertently damaged in an earlier battle was his idea. One can imagine Flynn smiling behind the helmet, especially considering that she had verbally ripped him to shreds earlier.
* At the end of the episode, Flynn asks Gemma if she wants to help him work on some more gadgets, which she almost accepts if it weren't for an overprotective Gem popping up behind her.

* Summer goes to Corinth HQ to calm Vazquez, who was clearly freaking out as she is the only person awake since Colonel Truman and Corporal Hicks are knocked out by the gender-specific sleeping gas.

* After Tenaya 7 kicks Scott to the ground while practicing their fight choreography for a scene, she's kind enough to reach out her hand and help him get up.
* Dr. K actually joining the Rangers in watching a mini-episode they had been working on, though it did have a pretty bad start as she expected a pajama party and was the only one in pajamas. At the end, she's clapping and has a smile on her face, clearly proud of the work her Rangers have put in.
** Ziggy tries to soothe an angry Dr. K by saying she looks great in her pajamas--though he did nearly fumble it by saying that he and his fellow Rangers agreed that they'd all look ridiculous in pajamas.

* A couple of moments when Colonel Truman comes to arrest Dr. K for treason after finding out that she was responsible for Venjix:
** Ziggy is the first to stick up for Dr. K before some soldiers grab his arms. Dillon then goes to pull the soldiers away from him.
** Scott reminds Colonel Truman that though Dr. K created Venjix, she also created the Ranger Series technology that they use every day to keep Corinth safe. He also points out that arresting her wouldn't bring anyone back. He and his dad certainly understood that Marcus would be among those that wouldn't be brought back.
* Colonel Truman finds Dr. K hiding in Corinth HQ and is prepared to arrest her for treason because of her past actions at Alphabet Soup, complete with a blaster pointed at her. They then have this exchange:
-->Dr. K (Seeing Colonel Truman look at a picture of himself with his dead son Marcus): We all do things in life we regret. But if we don't learn from them, and move towards a brighter future, we pay twice. \
Col. Truman: I've already paid more than most. \
Dr. K: I know. And if I could access the space-time continuum long enough to undo what I did, I would. That's not possible. \
Col. Truman (knowing that her Rangers are in trouble): Can you help them? \
Dr. K: That's all I can do. \
Col. Truman (points his blaster down): Then help them.
** During their first few moments in HQ, Colonel Truman is clearly hesitating between carrying out his duties and letting Dr. K help her Rangers, who are now overpowered by both the Paleozords and Venjix's latest attack bot.
* Colonel Truman and Dr. K return to the Garage. The Colonel then makes a statement showing that he has made peace with the past, echoing Dr. K's sentiments to him earlier.
-->Col. Truman: I have decided to grant the good Doctor a full pardon. \
(The Rangers rejoice. Dr. K breathes a sigh of relief.) \
Col. Truman: Sometimes you have to leave the past in the past and, well, I, for one, will be focusing more on the future.

* Dillon, having finally realized the truth about the girl in his dreams, races off to find to reveal the truth to her.
* The Rangers fire their Road Blaster at Tenaya 7, causing her to fly off and hang on to the side of a bridge. Dillon sticks out his hand to grab her, which she takes, and pulls her up from the ledge.

* When Dillon has to leave his morpher behind so as not to be detected, which team member does he choose to give it to? Scott, the team leader? Summer, who always believed in him? No, it's Ziggy he chooses to look after his morpher - which is a subtle nod to the bond the two share and shows just how far they've come since that first meeting in the wasteland.
* After the Rangers finish off Shifter in the RPM Ultrazord, appears from behind a building. But instead of attacking the Rangers per the usual, she waves and gives a slight smile to Dillon.
* It's a blink and you'll miss it moment, but when Kilobyte is about to execute , Ziggy is the first one to leap into action.

* While searching for Kilobyte, Dillon asks Dr. K if she has found Ziggy. After responding with her usual snark, Dillon comments, "She's as bad as the machines." It's clear that she was stung by his remark and resumes her search for Ziggy.
* After Gem and Gemma finish working on the Rail Saber, Dr. K orders Gemma to help Ranger Green, but not before almost saying Ziggy's name. Gemma flashes a smile. Yes, Dr. K. Even Gemma can see it.
* Ziggy protects Fresno Bob from Tenaya 15 after she had conned him out of a valuable piece of technology. At the end of the episode, he goes to the Garage and forgives Ziggy's debt to the Scorpion Cartel.

* The Rangers' reactions to Dr. K's descriptions of them, showing at least some of their flashbacks. It's clear that even if Venjix had won, Dr. K was proud of her team and their efforts against him.
* Shortly after Ziggy and Dr. K end up in an underground cave, she responds rather coldly to Ziggy possibly breaking his ankle. Ziggy tells her that she could try being a little nicer. She then extends her hand to help Ziggy get up off the ground. She's later seen carrying him on her shoulders for a good while.
* With no chance of getting out of the underground cave, Ziggy asks why Dr. K went outside with him. She answers, "It's my birthday, and I wanted to go outside." He then puts on an elaborate shadow puppet show in the cave, which brings the gift of a smile to Dr. K on her birthday--and just in time as they are about to collapse from lack of oxygen.
* When Dr. K announces she'll go outside with Ziggy, everyone stops and stares. Then Gemma smiles and shares a look with Gem. You can tell that the two of them are mentally squeeing that their outdoors hating friend is actually going outside.
* Summer discovers Dr. K's password: .
** Immediately after, she lies to the team about what it was out of respect for the obvious embarrassment the Doc was feeling over the matter.
* Right before Ziggy and Dr. K are teleported back to the Garage, K can be seen lying her head down on Ziggy's shoulder.
* At the end of the episode, Ziggy tells the other Rangers that Dr. K carried him for an entire mile. Back in the lab, she can be seen smiling again.

* The virus inside Dillon has grown to 51%. Venjix can take control of him at any time. Knowing this, out of concern for the team, Dillon once again takes off. And once again, it's Ziggy who runs off after him to bring him back to the Garage.

* Part 1:
** The Rangers all get out of their cars and find Venjix's latest attack bot. However, before the battle begins, Ziggy realizes the obvious--Dr. K is completely by herself in her lab. He runs off to protect her, only to find that she has already been confronted by Venjix. Even so, Ziggy puts up a brief fight before being knocked down to the ground. Dr. K runs to his side, and even though she still refuses to call him by his real name, it still shows that she does care for him.
** When Venjix confronts Dr. K, she tells him the following, showing that she is no longer the cold, aloof woman who has tried ridding herself of her humanity to protect herself, using that coldness to defy her murderous creation:
--->Dr. K: I've made errors. But I've also learned that even the most flawed human is better than the most perfect machine.
** The scene when Gem and Gemma are deleted. It's so heartbreaking to watch. Props to the actors for making that scene so heart-wrenching.
** Dillon goes to fight Kilobyte and free his sister from Venjix's mind hold. He takes a hit from Kilobyte which was meant for her, but not before successfully injecting her with Dr. K's antidote. Later on, Tenaya and Dr. K are at his side inside her damaged lab. Tenaya then tells Dr. K the following:
--->Tenaya: I'd forgotten what it felt to be . . . be human. But when I look at him, I remember.
** Before that, we see that Dillon's bond with the other Rangers has become so strong, he manages to fight against the virus attempting to take hold of him long enough to make it all the way to the lab. Also a SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome.
* Part 2:
** Colonel Truman places Scott as Eagle Squad's leader. He later recruits Gem and Gemma, who are excited at the prospect of blowing things up and getting paid for it.
** The Rangers return their morphers to Dr. K. Ziggy, not a little bit sadly, says, "Get in gear."
** Ziggy and Dr. K announce that they'll open up a school for children. And she finally calls Ziggy by his real name! (Well, at least in public.)
** Before Dillon and Tenaya leave for the wastelands with Summer, Dr. K gives Dillon his pocket watch back. He and Tenaya tell her to keep it.
** Hugs go all around, but some of the more important ones are the hugs between Dillon and Ziggy and Dr. K and Tenaya.
** Before Dillon leaves, he says "Thank you" to Dr. K. They had often butted heads, but now that he's been reunited with his sister, he has a reason for thanking the one who chose him as a Ranger Series Operator in the first place.
** Remember back in the first episode when Dillon gave water to a random flower? When Summer, Dillon, and Tenaya leave Corinth and head outside, they see a field full of flowers that look just like the one in the first episode. It's possible that Dillon watering the plant ended up saving it (and possibly even that species of flower) from dying out.
