* Myra admitting to Horace that she's as nervous as he is about consummating their marriage, as "I've never done it with someone I love". Later, when it seems that Horace might never get over his anxiety, she gently tells him, "It's okay. Lots of marriages are just... friendship marriages."
%%* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOlN34BVYBc Fred Rogers' special guest appearance in "Deal With The Devil"]].
* Jake is bandaging Teresa's injured arm. The sexual tension that's been smoldering all season heats to the boiling point. He gently leans in to kiss her, but she gently rebuffs him, telling him, "I'm still in mourning" (her husband was killed less than a year earlier). He nods, understanding, then carefully kisses her hand.
* Mike gives Jake a blistering TheReasonYouSuckSpeech for showing up at her house drunk, nearly injuring baby Katie. At the end of the episode, he comes to her office, saying, "About what you said the other day... thank you", thus revealing that she forced him to have a HeelRealization and get his life together.
* Jake's father telling Brian in his dying moments that he's sorry for everything he did as a father and that he dearly loves his son, thinking Brian is actually Jake.
* At the hurdy-gurdy dance Olive organizes, several girls from the foreign camp have tickets raffled off allowing people to dance with them. However, for a moment, Ingrid finds herself completely alone and thinks nobody wanted to dance with her, causing her to cry. Then comes an absolutely wonderful moment when Matthew reveals he bought ''all'' of Ingrid's dance tickets at the hurdy-gurdy dance just so he could have her all to himself... only to admit that [[{{Adorkable}} he can't dance a lick.]]
* Despite his fainting in Loren's surgery (see Funny Moments), Jake is resolved to help Dr. Mike as she operates on Brian's brain injury.
** Also from that episode, after Mike has spent the majority of the airtime blaming Sully for Brian's condition (as he had been watching the boy and told a story that inspired him to climb the tree), she rebuffs his help in the operation, saying "No family", the same thing she had said to Colleen.
* Loren's grandfatherly relationship with Brian throughout the whole series. Loren comforts the former when he goes blind from a head injury, takes care of him when Brian is stung by a scorpion on a cattle drive, and when bartender Hank breaks a deal he had with Brian to give the boy a horse after a certain amount of time doing chores at the saloon (mainly sweeping the outside), Loren ends their special business relationship and charges Hank full price for the liquor for the bar.
