* The Cat:
** A subtle example -- the Cat apparently hangs out with Wybie a lot. Given the fact that he knows about the Other World and the Beldam, and Wybie's a naturally curious kid who has a bit of a NightmareFetishist air to him, it's very likely that the Cat was trying to protect Wybie from being lured into the Other World.
** Stoic and sarcastic as he is, the cat is a heartwarming critter in general. He never hesitates to help Coraline, he immediately forgives her for throwing him at the beldam after she apologizes for it, and at one point, he outright tries to stop her from leaving her room because he knows what's lurking outside it (and still stays at her side when she doesn't listen).
** One particular moment occurs after Coraline confronts the Other Bobinsky and the rats escape with the ghost eye. Coraline sinks into a HeroicBSOD, realizing she has next to no chance of winning the game and everyone's freedom. Then she hears a meow, and the Cat shows up with a dead rat, which he drops.
--->'''Cat:''': I think I mentioned that I do not like rats at the best of times. \
'''Coraline:''' I think you might have said something like that. \
'''Cat:''' (''tosses the last ghost eye the rat had stolen to her'') It looked like you needed this one, however. \
'''Coraline:''' Thank you.
* Coraline playing with the doll can be seen as heartwarming (well, it is, until we find out the doll is actually a creepy spy.) She carries it around the house and even gives it the name "Little Me".
* As eccentric as her neighbors (Miss April, Miss Forcible, and [[GentleGiant Mr. Bobinsky]]) are, they are nonetheless very warm and welcoming to Coraline, even giving her subtle warnings about the door to the other world. Despite her thoughts about them (like thinking Miss Spink and Forcible are “dingbats” and Mr. Bobinsky crazy), Coraline was actually nice and polite to them. Miss April and Miss Forcible even give Coraline an adder stone which proves instrumental in the Beldam's defeat.
** Then there's Coraline and Bobinsky's exchange at the end.
--->'''Coraline:''' How are the mushkas, Mr. B? \
'''Bobinsky:''' (''smiles warmly'') They tell me that you are savior, Caroline. And as soon as they are ready, they wish to give you a special "thanks you" performance.
* Coraline's interactions with the Other Wybie. From taking the stitches out of his mouth so he isn't forced to smile anymore, him helping her escape back home even knowing he'll be killed for it, and in a strange way, when she discovers his remains later, they genuinely care for each other. That last one might not seem heartwarming on the surface, but the fact that Coraline sounds genuinely upset and remorseful about it, and how furious she is immediately after (shouting and calling the Other Mother "evil witch") kind of is.
** There's also the fact that even after she starts to realise the Other World isn't the paradise she thought it was, she still trusts the Other Wybie and is convinced he can help, even though this is before he pulls her out of the mirror.
--->'''Coraline:''' (while talking to the Other Father) If you won't even talk to me, I'm gonna find the Other Wybie. He'll help me.
* At the end of the Other Spink and Forcible's performance, the Other Wybie throws Coraline a rose.
* In a FreezeFrameBonus, there is a picture of the Jones family at a zoo, as seen above. They even have a snowglobe from that zoo, which Coraline's mom calls her favorite snowglobe.
* Fridge-Heartwarming: Coraline excitedly rushing up to see what groceries her mom brought home isn't just her searching for any signs of her parents. Just like in the book, she's grown a newfound appreciation for her own world, even in all its mundane imperfection. Even when she's apparently grossed out by the groceries, she says "Well that's disgusting" with just a tinge of ''optimism'' in her voice.
* The fact that the Other Father really does love Coraline.
** At the very beginning, he tries his best to warn Coraline to leave the Other World through his song and not fall for the Other Mother's trap, lest she wind up like the Other Mother's previous victims, and he basically implies to her that he is [[DoubleAgent on her side, despite being a creation of the Other Mother]] in his song (''"She's a pal of mine..."'') Unfortunately, Coraline doesn't get the memo.
** Even when he's reduced to a pitiful pumpkin-like humanoid, the Other Father STILL loves Coraline; he apologizes in a sad tone about attacking her, trying to resist being controlled as to not harm Coraline, and gives her the first ghost eye right before he drowns in the garden's pond.
* When Coraline is running away from the beldam and trying to close the door to the passage between the worlds, the ghost children briefly come out to help her pull it shut and lock it, so she can escape.
* The dream of the three ghost children, all of whom are now golden with halos, signifying that they can move on. The three give her a group hug to reassure Coraline she can take on the Beldam.
* Wybie coming to save Coraline in general. Think back to their previous interactions: Coraline has insulted, physically attacked, and kind of been a jerk to him in general (with a few PetTheDog moments). Despite all of that, this awesome guy immediately comes to her aid. That's true friendship before it ever starts.
** Fridge-Heartwarming: there's a meaningful [[{{Foil}} dichotomy]] between the fates of the real Wybie and Other Wybie. Coraline, regrettably, is unable to save Other Wybie from being gravely punished by the Beldam. But ''this'' time around, she manages to narrowly save the real Wybie's life (by stopping the Other Mother's hand from pushing him down the well).
* Coraline's smile when Wybie calls her Coraline. It's small, but she's clearly happy to hear someone from the real world get her name right. Also, after beating the Other Mother's hand, Coraline punches Wybie lightly on the shoulder. It may not seem heartwarming until you take into account the earlier scene where Coraline's mother does the same to her husband...
-->'''Wybie:''' I'm... I'm really sorry I didn't believe you about all this... evil stuff... Coraline. \
'''Coraline:''' (''smiles at Wybie calling her by her real name'') Why did you change your mind? \
'''Wybie:''' W-well, grandma showed me this picture, after I called you crazy. (''hands Coraline an old photo of Wybie's grandmother and her sister'') I-it's her and her sister, before she disappeared. \
'''Coraline:''' The sweet ghost girl! \
'''Grandma Lovat:''' (''in distance'') Wyborne! Come home! \
'''Wybie:''': Aw, man! What am I gonna tell her? \
'''Coraline:''' (''smiles'') Just... bring her by the house tomorrow. We can tell her together. \
'''Wybie:''' (''brightens up'') We... we can? \
'''Coraline:''' You know... I'm glad you decided to stalk me. (''[[ShipTease punches Wybie lightly on the shoulder and giggles]]'') \
'''Wybie:''' (''chuckles nervously'') Wasn't my idea.
* After putting Coraline through accidental ParentalNeglect for so long, Coraline's ''real mom and dad'' gladly join her for a gardening excursion...despite her mom's hatred of dirt.
* The very end showing that Grandma Lovat will finally get closure on not only the truth of what happened to her sister, but also the fact she was finally able to move on, and that no more children will be at risk of falling to the Beldam ever again, paranoia of which terrified her for at least fifty years.
** Also, given the math of the story (see the Fridge page), Gramma Lovat has successfully kept children away long enough for the Other Mother to begin starving, which is a big part of why the Other Mother, increasingly frenzied in her desperation to feed, ultimately fails. Now, Gramma will know that her efforts have led to the defeat of the threat and the freeing of her sister's lost soul, which will take a huge weight off her conscience.
* During the middle of the film, Misses Spink and Forcible begin making their sickly dog Angus an angel costume, because he apparently 'isn't feeling well,' and are planning ahead, expecting the little dog to die. However, he shows up at the end of the film in good health at the garden party, happily romping around through the garden.

!!Novel
* When Coraline phones the police to report her missing parents, telling the whole unbelievable story, the policeman who answers the phone gently tells her to wake her mother and get some hot chocolate to recover from her nightmare. It might have been [[AdultsAreUseless entirely useless under the circumstances]], but the policeman's response to a scared little girl telling such a strange story is very kind!
* The wasp story:
** Coraline tells the cat about the time her father performed a mild HeroicSacrifice for her when they ran into a wasp's nest during an exploring session. [[DrawAggro He stayed behind to attract the wasps]] while Coraline ran, and only when she was out of danger did he run as well.
** The reason for the story -- Coraline's father told her later he stayed behind because (as her father) it was the only thing ''to'' do. Coraline thinks of this story while she's going back into the Other World to save her parents from the Other Mother. She's completely terrified but goes anyway.
* When Coraline is about to go back into the house, she tells the cat that she hopes to see him later in the real world. However, then the cat's fur stands on edge as he senses that all the doors that he usually passes through are closed as the Other World collapses. He's too scared even to move, but Coraline comes back, picks him up, and reassures him that if the only way out is past the Other Mother, they'll get out that way together.
