As [[SadistShow mean-]][[KafkaKomedy spirited]] as this show is, ''[=CatDog=]'' isn't without its fair share of genuinely touching moments.
----
* ''[=CatDog=]: The Great Parent Mystery'' is full of these, but this one reveals Cat's true character beyond the shadow of a doubt. After hitting another dead-end in their search, the ever cynical Cat shouts they are going home... only to be horrified when [[ThePollyanna Dog]] agrees with him. The [[DespairEventHorizon broken Dog gives up, ripping up his book of theories and admitting he wishes he gave up easier like his brother]]. Cat [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre tells him not to say that, admitting he wishes he were more like Dog, with boundless determination]]. They then make a vow to find their parents no matter what and reassures him by telling him that they will always have each other. "We are brothers." Giving that Cat and Dog are usually PolarOppositeTwins, the scene of brotherly love is very powerful.
** The ending's reprise of the theme song
--->[=CatDog=], [=CatDog=] [[spoiler: alone no more is the little [=CatDog=]]].
** The giant blue monster's benevolent WhamLine:
--->'''Giant Monster''': [[spoiler:HI HO DIGGETY!]]
** [[spoiler:[=CatDog=]'s dad explaining why none of them question who [=CatDog=]'s biological parents were]].
--->[[spoiler:'''Dad:''' Heck, we don't know where [[CartoonCreature your mother]] came from either, but that doesn’t matter because she's your mother, and you're our boys.]]
** The moment when Cat pulls out his half of the binky he and Dog had as babies.
--->[[spoiler:'''Mom:''' (''gasps and pulls out the half of the binky that was left behind after [=CatDog=] was separated from them'') You kept it!]]
** When it seems like [=CatDog=] and [[spoiler: their adoptive parents]] are screwed by Winslow, The Greasers, and a slew of other individuals for the sake of {{Jerkass}}itude, the Tornado that separated the two from [[spoiler: their adoptive parents]] comes in, and ''by sheer luck'', it throws the former away to Nearburg and the latter get eaten by the lake monster. Considering '''[[SadistShow everything]]''' [=CatDog=] go through, it is ''satisifying'' seeing all the asses who give them hell finally get LaserGuidedKarma and [=CatDog=] '''finally''' [[EarnYourHappyEnding get the happy ending they derserve]].
** The montage at the end of [=CatDog=] and their [[spoiler:adoptive]] parents spending time together and doing things like going to the beach and decorating a Christmas tree. It's just so touching to see them be a family again.
* Really, any time Cat sticks up for his brother is this, showing that he still cares for Dog despite all the stuff he does to him. For example, in "[=CatDog=] 3001," Cat and Dog have been separated from each other because [[ItMakesSenseInContext the people of the future think Dog was a hero and want him to save them from a giant descendant of Winslow]]. Winslow's descendant defeats Dog, but Cat sees what happened to his brother and - in what is also a SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome - puts him and Dog back together and beats the bad guy by [[ItMakesSenseInContext using Dog as a vacuum to suck him into their body.]]
* Winslow falling in love with a ConArtist rat girl in "Winslow Falls in Love." [[spoiler:Quickly turns into a TearJerker when she steals his stuff and leaves him.]]
* Near the end of "Talking Turkey," Walt successfully travels to Turkeyburg, where he [[spoiler:finds his mother and happily reunites with her, since he originally thought that she never made it to Turkeyburg.]]
* "Flea or Die"
** Dog willingly lets Cat take the flea belt for himself so his brother can be comfortable. Unfortunately, this leads to Dog getting overrun by the fleas. At this point, Cat becomes worried enough to give the belt back to Dog. When he realizes that the fleas are now so out of control even the belt can't help, he has a MyGodWhatHaveIDone moment.
** A minor one: Cat realizes that their only chance is the flea bath Rancid had offered them earlier. When they get to the hospital, Rancid is [[EvenEvilHasStandards visibly horrified]] at how out of control the fleas have gotten and [[PetTheDog gives them the flea bath with no (apparent) ulterior motive]]. Hey, coming from [[BigBad Rancid]], that kind of thing is huge.

* Anytime the Greasers act as each others' TrueCompanions. As horrible as they are, it's sweet that they stick together.
* From "Vexed of Kin," Cat Dog's parents assuring Cat that they love both of them equally after he spent the whole episode feeling like TheUnfavourite.
** Dog telling Cat that he is his favorite brother.
* Anytime there's a flashback to Cat and Dog as [[RidiculouslyCuteCritter babies]]. CuteKitten meets PreciousPuppy.
** Their appearance in ''Ballad of Old 159'' is especially precious. They’re shown curled up sleeping in their crib, and [[http://78.media.tumblr.com/79a37cf5ea878db111ff350cc9b14676/tumblr_n67dzl025s1rmjcz3o2_500.png dog has his arms wrapped around Cat]].
* In ''A Very [=CatDog=] Christmas'', [[spoiler: Cat calls his usually unwanted guests (the Greasers, Eddie the Squirrel, Winslow, Rancid Rabbit, and Rancie) like family. They all have a group hug for once, not hating each other like in every other episode.]]
* The entire Brother's Day episode is just chock full of sweet moments: Dog being moved to tears by the brothers' day commercial, Cat talking with his loofa and Dog showering Cat with affectionate licks after Cat gives him his present are some highlights from the episode.
* Randolph cheering Dog up in "Catdog's End" by making armpit noises and going clubbing with him. Although it could be seen as HoYay, it's sweet to see a rich celebrity bond with Dog, of all characters.
* Lola and [=CatDog=] apologizing to each other and becoming friends at the end of "Sweet and Lola."
* In a way, the ending of ''Picture This''. Dog is ashamed to find everyone in Nearburg angry about the pictures he took of them, but when his work is praised by an art critic, everyone forgives Dog and they encourage him to continue photographing them in embarrassing situations.
* Werewolf Dog reverting back to normal when he sees how miserable Cat is in ''Full Moon Fever''. He turns down the Greaser Dogs' offer to join their gang, saying “he’s [[InsultBackfire catbutt]] and proud!”
* ''[[MusicalEpisode It’s a Wonderful Half Life]]'', full stop. The crowning moment definitely being when dream!Dog rescues dream!Cat from the Greasers as they run alongside a train to escape. Dog jumps onboard and stretches his arm out for Cat. It’s when they finally reach each other’s hands that their individual dreams merge into one.
** The final song.

-->'''Cat:''' ''And I've got a friend. ♪''
-->'''Both:''' ''And this is the way all dreams should end. ♬''
* The beginning of ''Climb Every [=CatDog=]'' is one of the very rare times [[NiceGuy Dog]] flies into a growling rage and tries to attack the antagonist of the episode. Why? [[BigBrotherInstinct Because she called Cat a loser]].
* In the episode "Work Force," [=CatDog=], Mervis and Dunglap get jobs licking cereal boxes at a factory. Dog gets a promotion and the power goes to his head. He fires Dunglap, and then fires Cat for no good reason. Cat gets angry at this display of injustice and encourages all the other workers to go on strike. Dog tries to lick all the boxes by himself and fails, and Cat starts laughing, with everyone else joining in. Once Cat notices everyone else laughing, his BigBrotherInstinct kicks in and he stops laughing and tries to help Dog.
* In "[=CatDog=] Food," Cat ends up ruining his and Dog's chance at fame. He bursts into tears and begs Dog to forgive him, and instead of getting mad at his brother, Dog pats him on the back and says it's okay.
* In "You’re Fired," another one of Cat's attempts to impress Talullah fails. Dog attempts to console Cat by telling him "You still have me."
* At the end of "All You Can't Eat," [=CatDog=]'s antics lead to Rancid, who had banned them from a restaurant, being fired and having his job given to Dunglap. Dunglap is so grateful to [=CatDog=] that he says they're welcome to eat there any time.
* In "Dog, Come Home!" Dog decides to leave the house to prove to Cat that he doesn't need him. Initially, they're both happy to be free from each other, but soon, Dog realizes how much he misses his twin, and [[BigBrotherInstinct Cat starts to worry about Dog.]] In the end, even though he now has a high-paying job and a nice office, when Dog hears that Cat wants him back home, he immediately returns to the house.
