7	* A teaser for Ocram's name was released in the form of a hidden word puzzle, which contained his actual name along with several other boss names and unaffiliated names. A meme quickly sprung up around stating "His name is clearly (insert random letter string here)". This persisted even after the name was unveiled.
8	* The first time it rains in your world and you start seeing Goldfish on land. Not flopping around, but actively walking up out of the water on their tailfins. Because apparently the only reason they ever stayed in the water was because there wasn't enough on the surface.

12	* The way gibs work in this game is just ridiculous. No matter how something dies (shot with an arrow, slashed with a sword, falling too far, even suffocating) it will ALWAYS [[LudicrousGibs explode in multiple pieces on death]]. Bunnies, however, don't just come apart. Their pieces go FLYING.
13	** Even better, Gingerbread Men's gibs during the Frost Moon event have a sad face on their head.
14	** Gibs are also subject to physics. The entrance to naturally generated Crimson caverns are long, downwardly sloped corridors; dead Blood Crawlers' spherical abdomens are prone to rolling quite a way down them, leading to gory re-enactments of that scene from Indiana Jones. Bonus points if you're actually wearing the archeologist's clothes during that.
15	** Similarly, the velocity of which the gibs are thrown is subject to physics. It's not uncommon to see monsters exploding into a massive spray of supersonic gore when hit by a weapon with high knockback, or for fast monsters (like Queen Bee or Duke Fishron) to have their gibs fly a ridiculous distance if they're killed in-motion.
16	* 1.4 introduced an accessory to prevent the player character from harming Critters... a manual on animal companionship sold by the Zoologist. Your character is either [[EverythingTryingToKillYou so paranoid]] or [[ComedicSociopathy so antisocial]] that they need an extensive guide on not eviscerating every creature they find.
17	* Relatively minor compared to other moments, but during the rain, [[AirborneMook Flying Fish]] will appear to attack you - and if you hide right, you'll find that these flying FISH ''[[{{Irony}} can't enter water]]''.

23	* The [[GoodBadBugs HOIK]][[note]]A sawtooth trail of slope blocks that displaces the player in a very quick fashion.[[/note]] is just a gold mine of hilarity and awesomeness in general. Zipping around at absurd speeds never fails to look silly as heck, and it makes all but a handful of foes into a pathetic joke when the arena is built correctly, as the boss literally ''cannot catch you to save its life''. Even the Dungeon Guardian can be completely humiliated with this glitch.
24	* 1.3.1 added many, ''many'' new wiring mechanics to the game, one in particular is the Announcement Box which you can edit like a sign and displays the message to the server when activated, it also accepts hexadecimal colors for the text which can lead to playing some playful jokes and pranks on others by, say, making an Announcement Box that says "The Blood Moon is rising..." and activating it when the time reaches 7:30 P.M. or even better, activating one that says "[[FinalBoss Impending doom approaches...]]" to really give players a scare. Pairing it with a box that says "Moon Lord has awoken!" a minute later really takes the cake. The harmless nature of these pranks leads to ActuallyPrettyFunny moments with fellow players.

28	** You can apply slime gel to dynamite to create sticky dynamite. You can also do the same with bouncy pink gel, which creates bouncing dynamite. Even the game thinks [[ExplosiveStupidity it's not going to end well]].
29	** The Bunny Cannon, a mounted weapon which only shoots bunnies with dynamite attached to them.

They explode on taking damage, and their explosions can damage enemies. And like any other critter, they take damage from enemies, letting you use harmless woodland critters as improvised explosive devices against certain bosses.
32	* Toilets are just one of the silliest things in the game, and it even counts as a chair to make housing suitable to live in. Go ahead, make an NPC live in your bathroom. They won't mind.
33	** Journey's End adds a new use for the Broken Hero Sword... the Terra Toilet. The game even questions your use of this rare drop:

35	** Journey's End also adds the ability to make toilets from ''cactus''. The tooltip even changes to read ''"How desperate are you?"''
36	** Another thing about toilets in this game: You can wire them up like other mechanisms and activate them with switches. What a mess!
37	** The toilet is also a crafting station...''to make poop''. That's right, if you've eaten something, you can take a dump on the toilet! You can even use your own poo to make fertilizer, or even use it to cushion a long fall!
38	** If you have the rare Whoopie Cushion, you can "upgrade" your minecart into the Fart Cart, which is ''a giant toilet''. It even makes flatulence noises when you jump. You can then "upgrade" the Fart Cart further into the Terra Fart Kart, with the Terra Toilet.
39	* Occasionally in 1.4, you might spy a cloud [[ThatCloudLooksLike in the shape of different things]], like a tree, the Eye of Cthulhu, or even... Red's face.
40	* The most powerful sword in the game, the Zenith, requires several endgame swords in the Terra Blade, Influx Waver, Horseman's Blade, Seedler, Star Wrath and Meowmere, two rare pre-Hardmode swords in the Enchanted Sword and the Starfury... [[MyFriendsAndZoidberg and lastly the Copper Shortsword]], the weakest sword in the game.
41	* Remember how the Moon Lord didn't have proper legs? Well, they're now added into the game... as a cosmetic item that has a random chance to appear in a world with a very specific seed: 05162020.
42	** Similarly, one seed causes the game to generate the entire surface as a Jungle. With plenty of bee hives just below the surface. And virtually ''all'' water replaced with honey. The seed is "[[Film/TheWickerMan2006 not the bees]]".
43	** In 1.4.4, a new bonus seed was introduced, described as a "Magnum Opus" accessed with the seed [[spoiler: "getfixedboi"]] First off, you'll notice it prophetically starts you off in the Underworld. Then, you'll notice you have the "starving" status effect from the ''Don't Starve'' cross-promotion seed. After that, you'll notice that enemies are hitting like trucks compared to the difficulty you selected. ''Then'' you'll notice that several pots in the area have live explosives inside. At this point, you'll try to go upwards and notice that there's a new biome made of rainbow moss and crispy honey blocks that act like ''Hellstone'', complete with spawning lava when mined. The entire thing, in short, toggles basically ''every unique seed modifier'' on at the same time, having been dubbed the "Everything" seed.
44	* One of the enemy types you might encounter is a zombie with a slime on its head. What really makes this funny is the Bestiary entry:

46	* The end-credits sequence for defeating the Moon Lord has moments ranging between Heartwarming and this. These involve:

48	** The Steampunker trying to fix up The Cyborg, only to shock herself on a crossed wire.
49	** The Angler and the Pirate Captain are talking about fish they've caught... and then the Angler produces a Truffle Worm and sets off to use it to bag Duke Fishron. The Captain immediately chases after him.
50	** The Clothier is chasing after the Truffle, still bound and determined to get a taste.
51	* After six years of memes and asking, in for Terraria's 10th anniversary update, the [[InJoke Jungle]] [[FandomNod Mimic]] has finally been added.[[labelnote:Context]]The Jungle Mimic was originally an unimplemented enemy going as far back as the 1.3 update. Originally discovered in the game files by data miners, when asked why it wasn't implemented Red stated that it was an idea they played around with, but could never decide what items to give it as loot. Eventually, he and the rest of the devs decided to scrap it, under the reasons of it not fitting with the other two Hallowed and Corrupted Mimics, and the fact that they believed the Jungle had too many good items already.[[/labelnote]] And it has a unique attack that ''clogs your inventory with random blocks.'' And what does it drop, you might ask? It drops ''almost every JokeItem in the game;'' From the actual jokes, like the Terra Toilet and the Coal, to the useful but [[ToiletHumor unfortunately named]], like the [[UrineTrouble Golden Shower]] and the Master Bait.
