* Dotty's many, many excuses to join the team for the big reveal at the end of each episode, coupled with their various reactions.
** In "The Real Gone Gondola", she uses Woofer and Wimper as her excuse to appear. The two dogs aren't at all pleased with this when she gives them a suspicious look before going.
-->'''Woofer:''' Uh-oh. The kid's got that look in her eye.
-->'''Wimper:''' Uh-huh. The last time that happened, we got the blame.
** In "The Weird Seaweed Caper", she uses the excuse that she brought a sweater for her sister. Pepper was already wearing one as part of her LimitedWardrobe.
** In "The Disappearing Airport Caper", she used the excuse that she had to show Sheriff Bagley where to go. Pepper and D.D. immediately points out that it's a crime scene and that Bagley has already been there before.
** Then in "The Solar Energy Caper", she tried to claim that Woofer and Wimper had laryngitis. The dogs tried to play the part as well.
--->'''Dotty:''' I think they [the dogs] have laryngitis.
--->'''D.D.:''' Personally, I think she's sensational.
--->'''Larry:''' Now wait a minute...
--->'''Dotty:''' Go ahead, bark, fellas.
--->'''Woofer and Wimper:''' (''bark weakly'')
--->'''Dotty:''' See?
--->'''Larry:''' Uh-huh. Laryngitis. Would you guys like a couple of dog biscuits?
--->'''Woofer and Wimper:''' (''enthusiastic barking'')
--->'''Larry:''' That's an amazing recovery.
--->'''Dotty:''' I think it's a miracle.
** During "The Missing Pig Caper", Larry warns Dotty not to show up with the excuse that she was going to enter her chocolate fudge at the fair. So instead, she shows up to tell him that he was absolutely right, that excuse wouldn't work, and it was only fair of her to show up and admit that to him.
** At one point in "The Circus Caper", D.D. was so impressed with Dotty's inventive excuse that he tells Pepper, "I'll swap you two brothers and a parakeet for her." Pepper agrees.
* "The Real Gone Gondola" had a scene where Pepper laments out loud how she would never forgive herself when she thinks that D.D. is..... ummm... [[NeverSayDie gone]]. She gets really mad when she finds out that not only was he okay, he also heard what she said. The scene ends with her slowly skiing after him with a [[DeathGlare super pissed look on her face]] and him running away.
-->'''D.D.:''' Pepper, wait a minute. Remember what you said! Don't do anything you'll be sorry for!
** Later, after Pepper insults him, D.D. remarks, "She's still mad 'cause I found out she really cares!" Her response being a brash, "Ha!"
* In "The Weird Seaweed Caper," a frightened Woofer hides under a blanket and claims that he's looking for clues. Wimper then hides under the blanket himself, using the excuse that he's helping Woofer with his search.
* In "The Green Thumb Caper", after her computer claims that she gave it insufficient data, Dottie angrily calls the computer "he." When Larry asks about this, Dottie says that a female computer would never be so uncooperative.
** In the same episode, the thief manages to get Pepper and D.D. sewn up in a pair of mattresses. Larry remarks, "I thought you were supposed to sleep ''on'' those things, not in them." Pepper then says, "I knew I shouldn't have gotten out of bed this morning."
* In "The Disappearing Airport Caper", the dogs accidentally trigger an alarm for a case, waking everyone up in the middle of the night and give themselves away as the culprits by hiding in the corner.
** Pepper denies that the pilot can be guilty because of her crush on him.
-->'''D.D.:''' Listen, I know Corky's our friend, but you suppose he could be guilty?\
'''Pepper:''' Absolutely not!\
'''Larry:''' Why not?\
'''Pepper:''' Well... because... because he has curly hair!\
'''Larry:''' (''sarcastically'') Oh, that's a good reason.\
(''near the end of the episode'')\
'''Corky:''' Tell me something, you guys, how come you were so sure I was innocent?\
'''Dotty:''' Oh, you couldn't be guilty.\
'''D.D.:''' You have curly hair. (''giggles'')\
'''Corky:''' What?\
'''Larry:''' Never mind, Corky. It's a... private joke.
* In "The Solar Energy Caper", Woofer and Wimper scare off a bear that was giving chase by discussing how they wanted a "Nice, big, bear skin rug!"
* "Vanishing Train Caper" had several humorous moments:
** It starts off with Larry and D.D. about to chow down on some sandwiches before their picnic, but Wimper sees this and rats them out to the girls.
-->'''Dotty:''' The guys? What are they doing?\
(''Wimper gnaws on his paw, telling what the boys are doing'')\
'''Pepper:''' Oh, they are, are they?\
(''Outside, Larry and D.D. are about to bite their sandwiches'')\
'''Pepper:''' (''from inside'') '''''KNOCK IT OFF, YOU GUYS, RIGHT NOW!!'''''\
'''Larry:''' Oh, wow! She can see through walls!\
'''D.D.:''' I told you she was a witch.
** Dotty saying whoever thought of their picnic area is a genius, then agreeing when reminded it was her.
** Woofer tries to hypnotize Wimper into stealing a chicken for him. Wimper just eats it himself. Then when Woofer tells him to bring him the pie, Wimper brings him the pie and leaves, then the owner of the food appears and catches Woofer with the pie.
** Dotty is putting a dress on Woofer to rehearse for a show. Another dog named Spike is at the door and Woofer orders Wimper to keep that dog outside. Instead, Wimper lets Spike in so they can both laugh at Woofer. The last laugh is on Wimper and Spike when Dotty rewards Woofer with a T-bone steak.
** Woofer voices suspicion about the train spotter, but takes it back because the guy was forgiving of a blunder he made and asks how anyone could suspect that nice old man. [[spoiler:The guy is guilty.]]
** When [[spoiler:Sam Kiley]] is revealed to be the culprit, Woofer, as usual, claims he knew it all along. Wimper tells him otherwise.
-->'''Woofer:''' I knew it! What'd I tell you about him?\
'''Wimper:''' Nothing. We never saw him before.\
'''Woofer:''' Oh. Well, if we had, I'd spotted him for sure.
** At the end, Woofer boasts that he doesn't know the meaning of the word fear. Wimper helpfully says that fear means faint like Woofer did in the saloon (twice).
* When the mystery begins in "The Dissolving Statue Caper", Pepper and D.D. find Dotty to send her home. She tries to protest that she doesn't have bus fare home, at which point D.D. gives her the necessary money. She snarks, "Boy, some buddy you are."
** In the same episode, Pepper and D.D. are running from a MonsterClown, and Pepper protests that clowns are supposed to be "sweet and lovable and {{sad|Clown}}." D.D. points out that this one is "mean and hateful and mad!"
* In "The Missing Pig Caper", the gang notices a large amount of food being delivered to the ''very'' fat Reginald Glut's house.
-->'''D.D.:''' Wow, looks like he's stocking up for the next ten years.
-->'''Pepper:''' You kidding? The way he eats, that's probably just for the weekend.
* In "One of Our Elephants Is Missing", Larry pole vaults into a warehouse and crashes into a few mirrors.
-->'''Larry:''' Is breaking a mirror really seven years bad luck?\
'''Pepper:''' Did you break one?\
'''Larry:''' ''One''?! If the saying's true, I'm in big trouble for about 200 years!
* In "The Amazing Heist," Woofer abdicates his (dubious) leadership position to Wimper in a moment of panic. A few scenes later, Wimpier haughtily tries to invoke his new authority and is threatened into abdicating so Woofer can be in charge again.
* The final episode ("The Prehistoric Monster Caper") also had its share:
** While boasting about his show business plans, Woofer claims to be a relative of ''Series/{{Lassie}}'' and Rin Tin Tin. When Wimper points out that they are different dog breeds than Woofer, he asks if Wimper has ever heard of makeup.
** A running gag in the episode is that whenever Woofer does an imitation, everyone thinks he's imitating of John Wayne.
** Pepper telling D.D. the dinosaur after them has a brain the size of a pea and it can still probably outsmart him.
** Woofer trying to show off and get discovered as a movie star (even juggling) while the director gushes about the talent and profile, only to pick up ''Wimper'', who's just lying around.
