----
* The scene with the crow in the window. At first it is a case of MoodWhiplash - the crow tries a blindside attack on Arietty but for a stroke of luck, would have succeeded. Then it gets stuck in the window screen, and gets itself literally [[ButtMonkey beaten silly by a fuzzy slipper]]. It finally flutters away with not one jot of dignity intact.
* Homily is so shocked and horrified at Sho lifting her family's roof and replacing the kitchen with the one from the dollhouse that she faints... onto a sofa that Sho puts behind her at just the right time.
* Haru's bickering on the phone with the pest-control people, who apparently can't find the place. No matter the language, it's hilarious how inept they seem.
** US Dub:
-->'''Hara:''' How could you possibly be lost?! It's the only road!
-->'''Pest Control Man:''' Is it before the bridge?
-->'''Hara:''' ''What bridge?!'' There's no bridge!
** UK Dub:
-->'''Haru:''' No, that's not it! Further down, you see a dirt track, you turn in there!
-->'''Pest Control Man:''' Is it before the bridge?
-->'''Haru:''' No, ''after'' it!
** Later, when they finally arrive:
-->'''Haru:''' There they are. I guess they found the road, the ''only'' road...
* In the American dub, when Sho/Shaun tries distracting Haru/Hara by asking for cookies, she mutters, "Cookies? Now the boy wants cookies..." and in an unused take of the line, Creator/CarolBurnett [[ThrowItIn throws in]] "Not good for the heart, you know!"
* Haru's reaction when [[spoiler: all the evidence she gathered that proves the existence of the Borrowers is gone.]] Carol Burnett's delivery in the English dub is icing on the funny cake.
** Aunt Jessica's quip in the dub is also quite funny. "Are you sure you didn't find the sherry?"
** While anxiously panicking, Haru accidentally runs into something and topples it, then casually says "I'll clean that up later."
** '''"WHERE'S THE LITTLE TEAPOT?!"'''
* The end of the film has [[spoiler: the Clocks moving away, with a long and dangerous journey ahead of them]]. The narrative implies that [[spoiler: they ended up just a few houses down the street. ]]
