4	* Tara wasn't insane or a {{troll}}; she was GenreSavvy and knew the TV Tropes page for ''Fanfic/MyImmortal'' would eventually be made, and not only would it be made, it would be a non-stop SugarWiki/{{Funny Moment\|s}}, and a temporary cure for depression. Bless you, Tara.
5	* Voldemort and Harry's butchering of Avada Kedavra (Voldemort's "Allah Kedabra"; Harry's "Abra Kedavra") could explain why the curse didn't appear to kill anyone.
6	* In multiple early chapters, Tara mentions she won't update until she gets a certain amount of good reviews. In her next update she mentions she got them. How did she get them? {{Troll}}s!
7	** There's always the possibility that the most of the good reviews were written to her friend Raven who knew her friend's fanfic wasn't succeeding.
8	** Tara could've written the good reviews herself to troll the reader even more or cheer herself up due to all the bad reviews.
9	* In both instances in which she insists Ebony is not a Mary Sue, she misspells Ebony's name (As Enoby and Evony, respectively.) and in the instance where she seems to have a vague understanding of what a Mary Sue ''is'' , she spells it as Mary Su. So, she wasn't technically lying, as ''{{VideoGame/Evony}}'' (a "game") is not a Mary Su (a term she just made up).
10	* At the original ending of ''Fanfic/MyImmortal'', before the (supposed) hacking and the author's hiatus, Enoby wakes up in the nurse's office after getting shot. Voldemort then appears and is said to look "less mean than usual", and cries at the sight of Enoby. This could easily be seen as just another example of VillainDecay, until you consider the reason Enoby went back in time in the first place was to redeem Voldemort! It looks like she ''did'' manage to soften him up a bit, after all.
11	** As the fic progresses, the author's [[RougeAnglesOfSatin spelling]] and, well, ''everything'' get steadily worse. The author notes also become increasingly incoherent. This could either be explained by a falling-out with her friend Raven, who apparently proofread the earlier chapters (and was either only slightly better than Tara or didn't really try and was laughing behind her hand), or, assuming she followed through on her threats to slit her wrists every time someone spammed the comments, the effects of blood loss. [[AlternateCharacterInterpretation Or she could have been a troll doing it on purpose.]]
12	*** Another bit of Fridge Brilliance: "Goff" is apparently the way chavs in northern England pronounce "goth". So either Tara's a chav, or a brilliant troll who knows some chavs.
13	*** It is pretty obvious 'Tara' is American. Chances are she just thinks 'goff' is a cool way to spell/say it.
14	** Voldemort is often called Satan; at first it seems odd since they are Satanists, but in his youth he used the nickname Satan, and it could be taken as a lampshading for this.
15	** When going through My Immortal, trying to find all the errors (Over six thousand in count), there's a notice. After Ebony has her vision, she leaves with Vampire and Draco to tell Dumbledore about it. In the process, they leave Draco's flying Mercedes-Benz parked in the forest. When it shows up again, Snape suddenly has it, which you'd write off as Tara forgetting where she left the car--then it hits you. They left the car in the forest twenty chapters ago, where Snape could have easily stolen it.
16	* After [=TaEbory=] and Draco are caught having sex in the forest, Dublywhore calls Snap and [=McGoggle=] to the office to, well, it's uncertain what he expected them to do, but apparently it was to insult them and then let them run off after a declaration of love. Well. Regardless, there was no reason for Mcgogle to be there. Enoby and Darco are both in Slytherin, why would Dublydore call the Gryffandor Head of House to deal with them? There are two explanations:
17	** It is mentioned later that Snap is in Gryffindor now, since he has converted to Christianity. So, then, Snake must be head of Gryffindor, since a teacher cannot be "in" a house unless they are head of house. (Not counting Hagrid, of course. He is a HOGWARTS STUDENT! AND ALSO A SATANTIST!) Therefore it is possible that [=McGonagle=] is the Slytherin head of house now. (But [[VoodooShark then we get]] the ''opposite'' problem, where there is no reason for Snap to be there since he's the Gryffindor head.)
18	** Even if she's still the Head of Gryffindor, [=McGoogle=] is probably still ''Deputy Headmisstress''.
19	* When Draco screams "BECAUSE I LOVE HER!" when questioned by [=McGoogle=] and Snap, the latter dismisses him and Enoby ... to discuss Egogy and Draco making out in the absence of the two.
20	* In the main story there is an ongoing war between the preps and the goffs; this really doesn't need to be in the story (among other things, namely the story itself) until you consider the houses. In Harry Potter, the Gryffindors and the Slytherins have an immediate hatred of each other upon meeting one another. Since most of the main characters have magically defected to Slytherin, and all of them are now hard-core goffs, take a wild guess as to what house the preps are in.
21	* [=McGonagall=] is the Deputy Headmistress in the actual canon. Possibly Snap is the Deputy Headmaster in thus canon, if [=McGoggle=] is Slitherin now
22	* Why did Satan know that Hot Ishoo and Hogsment would be renamed Hot Topic and Hogsmede in the future? [[spoiler: Because he was actually future Voldemort disguised at the time.]]
23	** He could have also used his "telekinesis".
24	* It's established that Ebony does some pretty hard drugs (cocaine, heroin, etc.) so her erratic behaviour and leanings toward violence could easily be explained by the adverse effects that drug use has on your psyche.
25	* Before the time travel sequence, Snap ties Enoby, Vampire and Darko up and threatens Enoby that, if she doesn't kill Vampire, then he will rape Drako. At first, this seems like it is an unrealistic threat - Enoby quickly sends telepathic messages to Serious for help and is able to easily prevent it by doing "Crucio". However, after she goes back in time, Snap is actually able to follow through on this threat, but at a point where the reader does not expect it.
26	* At one point Voldemort exclaims "Allah Kedabra". While some reviewers have interpreted this as meaning he's Muslim, what he is actually saying basically amounts to "Let God be destroyed", which is somewhat in-character.
27	* When Draxo "committed suicide" bi slitting his rists, he didn't actually die at all, since vampiers can't die by slutting their qrisssts. [[note]]Drako is porpably a bampile bacuas hes' datting Enogy.[[/note]]
28	* Ebony's bisexuality is often written off as being ButNotTooBi because she never actively peruses any female relationships in the story. However if you look closely her sexuality does shine through in [[MaleGaze her descriptions of other female characters she likes.]] She often takes significant effort into describing how beautiful and sexy her female friends are, taking especially close notice to their big breasts, snatched waists and how their clothes compliment those features. She may not be looking to date any of the women around her, but she's sure as hell scoping them out still.
29	* The chapter following Draco's first apparent suicide, Dumbledore comes to Ebony's room next chapter and tells her: "Ebony, it has been revealed that someone has - NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" And the chapter following that, Draco is revealed to be alive and in bondage by Volfemort. Maybe Dumbledore was trying to tell Ebony that Draco was kidnapped instead?
30	* Seeing as Hagrid is a student now, that could explain why [=McGoggle=] teaches "Hair" of Magical Creatures instead of him.
31	* A possible explanation for the fic's abrupt ending is that Tara forgot about it. She did previously not update for long periods of time, then come back and claim she'd slit her wrists. It's possible that Tara was actually just forgetting to update, but not wanting to admit it and lying about slitting her wrists. Then, eventually, she forgot altogether.
32	** The last line in the story is Ebony using Avada Kedavra. Perhaps she used it on the fic and that's why it's suddenly a DeadFic.
33	* It's very doubtful this was intentional, but Sirius being called Harry's dogfather [[{{Animorphism}} makes sense when you think about it]].
34	* Although she proudly {{Lampshades}} it at one point, Tara proving her "Stanist" cred by changing "a cross between ''[X] and [Y]''" into "a '''pentagram''' between ''[X] and [Y]''" is still genuinely clever.

37	* Listening to the LetsPlay/HellfireCommentaries dramatic reading of My Immortal when something occured. It came off of a single thought of the reason that some of the characters were turned into vampires was because of Ebony turning them into vampires. And then came another thought. Why stop with just some students? Why not put the entirety of Hogwarts under her thrall? Make the entire area into her little fantasy and force everyone to play along to her every little whim. The reason for all the drastic changes to the characters? Her deciding 'I don't like those aspects of you. I like these better' and then proceeding to break them to the point where they're forced to comply to her whims.
38	** Something even worse came to mind as this was put in too... What if this ended up being Voldermort's plan? If this was the case, Ebony would have to have a great affinity with spells that deal with illusions and mind control. Basically get her to help out with imprisoning everyone inside of Hogwarts. Ebony is basically their prison warden, doing whatever the hell she likes and being free to live out her fantasies. THAT'S why the entire fanfic makes no sense. She's constantly trying to find new ways to entertain herself. And when things go wrong? That's Hogwarts fighting back. No, not the people there, [[GeniusLoci The very enchantments and spells placed upon Hogwarts in order to protect it from evil.]] It's possible that everyone in Hogwarts will escape with mental scars all around... [[DownerEnding but only to see everything they love and cherish destroyed.]] Just like die-hard Harry Potter fans when they read this fanfic, really.
39	** Hmmm ... Enoby ''does'' engage in time travel in this fanfic. You know all those characters in the Tara-verse who have vampires for parents? Well ... what if ''Ebony herself'' went back in time and ''turned them into vampires'' by biting them? She could ''turn'' all of Hogwarts into vampires! Hell, go far enough back and she could turn ''everyone on Earth'' into a vampire! Where's [[Series/StarTrekDeepSpaceNine Deep Space Nine]]'s Office of Temporal Investigations when you need it?!
40	*** Calling the Doctor and Stephan Strange about this.
41	** Reading these would have a disturbing thought along the same lines as the above one. Let's say she did turn everyone's parents into vampires and such. Well remember some of the characters were [[RapeAsBackstory raped either by their parents or someone else.]] Which could either be a coincidence that has nothing to do with her, or Ebony [[MindRape forced those people]] to [[RapeByProxy molest her friends]]. If she's capable of that kind of treatment towards her friends think of what she would do to people she hates.
42	* So at that concert, Voldemort and Da Death Dealers were disguised as MCR... for the entire show? They actually stood up on stage for the first half of a concert and sung teen pop songs for who knows how long, and no one noticed?
43	** Of course Voldemort can sing: he was in a XXXBlakTearXXX in the eighties, after all.
44	** That was the same concert where "Gerald's" sexy voice almost gave Enoby an orgie, wasn't it...
45	* The whole story is by a self-proclaimed goth who primarily writes about depression, suicide and [[IKEAErotica sex.]] The horror comes in when you realise Tara was [[TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior ELEVEN]] while writing this. Think about that.

47	** Becomes even more disturbing when you realize what TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior often entails in RealLife, which raises the question: Is Tara just filling her story with 'goffic' elements or is this all just a coping mechanism for who-knows-what? Besides, how many children eleven years of age subscribe so wholeheartedly to the goth culture in the first place? Assuming she didn't learn from [[TheInternetIsForPorn pornography]], ''how does she even know what sex is at all?''

62	** Simply to [[Main/ForTheEvulz traumatize]] Ebony by tasking her with killing Vampire Potter first and threatening to kill Draco instead if she doesn't.
63	*** The gun doesn't work, but Voldemort would have inflicted some degree emotional trauma on Enoby, as seen in her rehearsal with Bloody Gothic Rose 666...
64	*** Voldemort can '(have) Draco bondage', complete with a false suicide attempt (as Draco couldn't, after all, die from wrist injuries according to [[Main/WordOfGod Word of God]]
65	*** Considering then that canon Harry was treated as the [[Main/TheChosenOne Chosen One]] (though subverted), Voldemint has considerable justification to do so anyway.

67	* Ebony admits she wants to be related to Gerard Way because he's a "major fucking hottie", implying incest...
68	** ... but considering that Gerard was born in 1977 and Tara was probably 11-13 (born 1993-1995) at date of publication (somewhere in 2006) it could be taken to mean Ebony wanted – if going against canon, like the rest of the writing – to inherit Gerard's genes and ergo hotness.
69	** It also wouldn't be too unnatural if she was a Slytherin since incest (particularly between cousins) is common to maintain blood purity in canon. However there are still a few hiccups. Mainly due to the fact that Gerard is a Muggle and Ebony technically isn't a Pure Blood since she's a vampire like most of the rest of the cast.
70	** Have you guys forgotten that if you marry someone you become related to them? It does make sense with Ebony's obsession that she simply wants to marry him.
71	* It seems that in this universe, if you don't know My Chemical Romance lyrics, you're considered a prep, and if you try to learn them, you're considered a poser. So you're supposed to be born knowing MCR lyrics?
72	** Whether you're a "goff" or a "prep" seems to be some predetermined aspect of one's self in this universe. Alternatively, given the amount of name-changing going on, you "discover" your true goff self as you get older (usually after some kind of trauma). Trying to force or fake the swap just makes you look stupid to the actual goffs, who know how it actually works. This would explain how Tom Rid is able to only allow goffs into his shop, how Ebony could be certain that Dumbledore was a poser and not a goff, and why everyone has goffick names - they change them when they "become" goffs. ("Draco Malfoy" was probably goff enough to be acceptable with no changes.)
73	* "Morti [=McFli=]" appears to be a goff, given that he gives [=TaEbory=] the "Tim Machine". However, when it's disguised as an I-Pod, Dumbledore listens to Avril Levine on it. Was Marty a poser, given that he downloaded poser music onto his time machine?
74	** Maybe he's a goff disguising himself as a prep?
75	** It could be that it has a wide selection of music on it so as to not give away and obvious affiliations. Avril was pretty popular at the time, so it would be within the realm of reason to assume some random I-Pod would have a few of her tracks on it.
76	* Why are Snap and Loopin going to "St. Mango's" (which is obviously supposed to be St. Mungo's, a hospital) ''after'' recovering from being shot? It's possible Tara got St. Mungo's mixed up with Azkaban, but later she refers to Azkaban as "Azerbajin", not St. Mango's.
77	** Psychotherapy, most likely. Perhaps wizards think that sex offenses should be treated as sicknesses, rather than as crimes.
78	* Enoby calls Snap and Loopin pedophiles when she catches them filming a video of her in the bathtub and masticating to it. Ebony is 17, the canonical age of adulthood in the ''Harry Potter'' universe.
