4	* At the risk of sounding like a [[SingleIssueWonk Single Fandom Wonk]], I initially hated the second sidekick, Double H, from ''VideoGame/BeyondGoodAndEvil.'' He wasn't as funny as the other main sidekick, Pey'j, his personality seemed to consist of nothing but [[BadassCreed "CARLSON AAAAND PEETERSSSSS!"]], and {{Suspiciously Similar Substitute}}s [[ReplacementScrappy never go over well.]] But by the end of the game, I'd grown to like him a lot--and then I realized that ''we, as the players, see him as Jade sees him.'' When she first meets him, a combination of EasyAmnesia and the fact that they're trapped behind enemy lines means that only his "soldier side" shows through, so of course he comes off as strange and obsessed. As the game goes on, and Jade spends time with him, both we and her learn more of his personality, and he becomes more affable. By the FinalBoss, the two of them are [[TrueCompanions willing to give their lives for one another]], and we players have come to like him too. The organic way the game builds their relationship means that the players come to trust him in much the same fashion Jade does. @/FreezairForALimitedTime
5	* "Double H, reporting for duty... The Alpha sections have taken possession of the... The shoes the... at your serviiiceee...." at first sounds like a NonSequiturThud, but later in the game, you have to use a critical pass code found on the soles of a pair of shoes. Messages in shoes may very well have been a more widespread practice in LaResistance than we were lead to believe.
6	* [[RewatchBonus If you pay attention to the scenes on Black Isle]], you'll notice that Pey'j only says a single line directly to Hahn and only during the taxi ride back to the entrance. It makes sense for him to avoid speaking to him as much as possible, given that he likely has spoken to Hahn over radio plenty of times and doesn't want to risk compromising his secret as the leader of IRIS by letting him recognize his voice.

9	* In ''VideoGame/BeyondGoodAndEvil'' the Alpha Sections have a tank on their backs that is considered their weak point. When you learn that the Alpha Sections are infected by the [=DomZ=], and that the Alpha Sections are kidnapping the Hillyans in order to survive, and seeing how the Hillyans are used at the end of the game makes you wonder what's in those tanks...
10	* The track "Dancing with [=DomZ=]", the first boss theme, uses an ominous fantasy language for its choir and growling chants. Far later into the game, you begin to hear the language of the [=DomZ=] both from them and in other tracks associated with them, and eventually hear the [=DomZ=] priest chant one specific thing before fighting you. "Shauni [=DomZ=] digra" - roughly meaning "Shauni belongs to [=DomZ=]." Every time Jade is in proximity of the [=DomZ=], she can hear them echoing in her head that she is one of them.
