''Still Crazy'' is a 1998 British comedy film written by Creator/IanLaFrenais and Creator/DickClement about a fictional seventies rock band 'Strange Fruit' and their attempt to reform for an anniversary gig at the festival that marked the ignominious end of their run the first time around. Featuring a surprisingly starry cast of British actors (albeit slightly before many of them hit the international big-time) including Creator/BillNighy, Creator/TimothySpall, Creator/JimmyNail, Creator/StephenRea and Creator/BillyConnolly it has a strong fan following making it a classic CultFilm.

!!''Still Crazy'' features examples of the following tropes:
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Karen for Brian, though she eventually admits she left him because she couldn't stand to watch him destroy himself anymore.
** Her daughter Clare is the same way towards Luke.
%%* AllLoveisUnrequited: Tony for Karen.
* BashBrothers: Les and Ray. By the end of the movie, they seemingly bury the hatchet.
* CrackOhMyBack: A couple of times when Ray is psyching himself up to perform in the dressing room toilets when on tour, he tries to bust out some stage moves and hurts himself like this.
* BerserkButton: "I'M NOT FIFTY!!"
* DeadArtistsAreBetter: Keith. To his former bandmates, especially Les, he has reached almost god status.
%%* DeadpanSnarker:
%%** Les and Karen.
%%** Astrid.
* DeusExMachina: Mostly attributed to the "gods of Rock n' Roll." There's the kid listening to track #1 from their "Tequila Mockingbird" album, the girl outside Antwerp with the Strange Fruit t-shirt, and Ray's vision of Brian during his near-death experience.
* DumbAndDrummer: Beano Baggot. Ray teases him for behaving exactly as he did twenty-five years earlier and being "what they call a flatliner!"
* EarnYourHappyEnding: The band argue, play crap venues and go through a lot, but eventually, they patch things up and seem to make a resurgence.
* FacePalm: Ray, after he demonstratively signs an autograph for the pizza delivery guy...then realizes the kid only wanted him to sign for the pizzas. Karen, when she goes along with Ray to an impromptu AA meeting...only to discover, after Ray stands up and humbly announces, "Hello, my name is Ray, and I'm an alcoholic," that they're actually at an Overeater's Anonymous group.
%%* FatIdiot: Beano.
* GagPenis: As the Fruits rummage through their memorabilia, they come across the plaster casts of their junk. Ray's, at full erection, is quite impressive. Beano taps on it and shouts, "Testing, testing..."
* KickTheDog: Ray can't get a break until [[spoiler: the band's turnaround in Antwerp]]. Les, in particular, seizes any opportunity to berate him.
* LoveTriangle: Tony has a thing for Karen, but she's still in love with Brian. (It's implied this is why her marriage failed.)
* MamaBear: Karen. Not just toward her daughter (whom she sees nearly going down the same path) but the band, as well. She even goes so far as to attend an AA meeting with Ray [[spoiler: until they find out it's actually Overeaters' Anonymous]].
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: When Ray nearly drowns, the look Les has just screams this trope and he stops being such a jealous {{Jerkass}} to him after that.
* NoodleIncident: Apparently only Astrid recalls whatever happened in Isle of Wight.
* OnlySaneMan: Compared to Les, Ray and Beano, Tony seems by far the most reasonable member on the group, aside from his hopeless crush on Karen.
* PosthumousCharacter: Keith Lovell. Even during the prologue, it's established he has already passed on.
%%* PuttingTheBandBackTogether: The film's premise.
* PowerOfRock: At their most crushing moments, the band is seemingly saved by this. Tony declares it to be courtesy of "the gods of Rock n' Roll."
* RunningGag: Whenever the band start playing "Dangerous Things", they never seem to get very far through it ...
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Ray does this twice, running off to get high during the tour and then at the end when Beano and Les's bitter interview airs.
%%* ShipTease: Plenty between Luke and Clare.
* StalkerWithACrush: The woman chasing Beano for most of the film.
* WhatTheHellHero:
** Luke calls out the press for their relentless hounding of the Fruits after [[spoiler: Brian returns]].
** Les, after Ray rants about how Les worshipped Keith and the only way he could ever compete was to be dead too, Les responds, "It'd be a start."
** Tony chews Les and Beano out after they give interviews that imply the band dipped in quality after Keith's death, causing Ray to storm out in fury.
-->'''Tony''': Chrissake. This was about us. [[MyGreatestSecondChance This was our second shot]], and it was working. Anybody who was at Antwerp saw it. We were fucking brilliant; we were better than we ever were. We were a great band. [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech You stupid bastards, why couldn't you bury the past before it buried us?!]]
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Tony is afraid of heights. When he tries to recruit Les, he has to be carried down from the roof.
