''Nutcracker Massacre'' is a [[ChristmasMoviesIndex Christmas]] SlasherMovie by Rebecca Matthews.

Clara (Beatrice Fletcher) is a novelist who's spending Christmas with her Aunt Marie (Julie Stevens) and her friend Danford (Tony Goodall) at her house. On the way, she decides to get a gift for her from an antique store owned by a man named Dimitri (Patrick Bergin). When she arrives, she's soon joined by her very unpleasant cousin Melissa "Mousey" (May Kelly), Mousey's boyfriend James (Stephen Staley), and soon her own ex-boyfriend, Paul (Andy Dixon) since Marie likes him and doesn't know they've broken up, much to her chagrin.

One thing everyone notices when they get there is that Marie has a 6-foot nutcracker next to her tree. They all think it's creepy, but put up with it because Marie likes it. However, at the stroke of midnight, the sugar plum fairy got for Marie (when she was expecting a nutcracker) brings the nutcracker to life. And it would seem that the Nutcracker (Christophe Monplaisir) is a malevolent killer.

!!''Nutcracker Massacre'' contains examples of:
* AssholeVictim: Mousey spent the movie having nothing nice to say about anyone, not being concerned with James' disappearance, and [[spoiler:setting Paul up to make Clara think that he's having an affair with her]]. Then she falls victim to the Nutcracker.
* BloodFromTheMouth: Bai, the woman Paul slept with behind Clara's back, has blood coming from her mouth after the Nutcracker slashers her stomach with an ice skate.
* EyeScream: When Marie finds [[spoiler:Danforth's corpse in the basement]], there a candy cane stabbed in one of [[spoiler:his]] eyes.
* {{Flashback}}: While Dimitri is relaying the story of the 19th century soldier, the movie flash backs to the events he describes.
* FrameUp: When Clara approaches a room that Paul and Mousey are in, Mousey deliberately climbs on top of Paul to make Clara think he's having sex with her.
* FromDressToDressing: After escaping the Nutcracker late in the movie, Clara tears a dress she finds in the closet she was hiding in and uses it to treat Paul's wounds.
* GroinAttack: While the Nutcracker is [[SinisterSuffocation strangling James]], it takes a handheld walnut crusher and uses it to cut James' testicles off.
* {{Handguns}}: [[spoiler:Clara arms herself with one in the final confrontation with the Nutcracker. She actually manages to hurt him with a few shots.]]
* HowWeGotHere: The movie starts with a delivery man getting killed by the Nutcracker, then it jumps back two days.
* InSeriesNickname: Mousey's real name is Melissa.
* MissingMom: Clara and Marie talk about Clara's mom, who's apparently deceased. Marie says she misses her, and that having Clara over makes her feel like there's still part of her around.
* NightmareFace: Whenever the Nutcracker kills a victim, he makes an angry face with razor sharp teeth, as shown [[https://thepeoplesmovies.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Nutcracker-Massacre-2022.jpg here]].
* OffscreenTeleportation: The Nutcracker gets around quite a bit when the camera isn't trained on it.
* ScreamingWoman: Marie lets out a scream when she sees [[spoiler:the Nutcracker at the top of the basement stairs]].
* SinisterSuffocation:
** The Nutcracker kills James by strangling him to death with its bare hands.
** The Nutcracker kills Mousey by strangling her to death with Christmas lights in green tinsel.
* SlashedThroat: In another {{Flashback}}, when the soldier (now driven mad and thinking he's ''Literature/TheNutcracker'') finds two sisters, he kills one of them (which he construes as the evil one) by cutting her throat.
* TwistedChristmas: People celebrating Christmas together and being stalked and killed by a life-sized killer nutcracker.
* ViolationOfCommonSense: In the first flashback to the German soldier in the 19th century, we see him dig two gems out of the ground, pick them up... and eat one of them. Of course, Dimitri did say that the gems would drive you mad just by holding them, so there is that.
* WhenTheClockStrikesTwelve: When the clock strikes midnight, the Sugar Plum Fairy's eyes glow, and so do the nutcracker's, bringing it to life.
* YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe: Paul says "You've gotta be kidding me." when Clara says she thinks the Nutcracker is alive.
