The only thing Naruto hates more than Sasuke's mouth is all the paperwork of his new job. Everything changes in a big way when battling a mysterious woman. She infects him with the "Twisted Jutsu", a [[GenderBender Jutsu that switches the victim's gender]], among other things. Now Naruto has to deal with the "Joys" of being a [[AttractiveBentGender Drop-dead gorgeous]] woman, including periods, the mood swings that come with periods, pads, bras, and desperate perverts. On top of that he still has his duties as Hokage, emerging romantic drama with Hinata, AND has to track down the woman who infected him before his (or her?) condition becomes permanent! And somehow Sasuke is even more of an annoying asshole than usual. Still, it's nothing Naruto Uzumaki can't handle Right? [[ThisIsGonnaSuck Right???]]

18	* ''Synopsis'': The story begins shortly after Naruto completes Toad Sage training, in an alternate universe where the Akatsuki mysteriously vanishes and Pain never attacks the village (''why'' this is so is eventually explained in a plot-sensible manner). During a mission to rescue a group of prisoners from a trio of rogue ninjas, Hinata is knocked over the edge of a cliff and is [[RescueRomance rescued by Naruto at the last moment]], touching off a realization of just how special they are to each other and--, you know what? You've all heard this synopsis before, so I'll move right along. While it may start off as a standard Shipping story, it ''very'' quickly evolves into a full-on OriginalFlavor story in which the rogue ninjas mentioned above are ''not'' one-shot characters and are plotting a massive attack on Konoha. Little by little, their plots, motivations, and personalities are revealed, as are those of the traditional characters, in a story that rivals anything else on this page and surpasses quite a few.
19	* ''Comments'': There is a great deal of impressive storytelling in this archive. Standing at 2500 pages and counting as of this submission, it rivals any but the largest webcomics you could find on the net today. It's easy to see the artist's evolution throughout the story, as quick, faded sketches with no background become more detailed, with backgrounds and a professional-appearing panel layout. As for the story, it is heavily in the tone of OriginalFlavor, with a healthy dose of LighterAndSofter thrown in because of the emphasis on character relationships. Don't let that label fool you into thinking this is a "Meet-Love-Kiss-Screw" fic; the villains who appear are compelling, the story arcs are top-notch, and characterizations are spot on, with not the slightest hint of a God-Mode Sue anywhere in the series. In fact, much of the story's strength comes from it's original characters. Note that above I said story arc'''s'''. As in plural. At 1,000+ pages, you are looking at an ArchiveBinge like no other. It is a little slow to get going, but once it does, you'll be hooked. Highest recommendation.

22	** Let me tell you a story... When I first heard of and began reading ''Naru-Hina Chronicles'', I thought it was boring, difficult to read and the way it was sketched didn't impress me... But then, months later after more false starts, I was looking at a Gaara/Matsuri group on Website/DeviantART when I noticed that the pairing seemed to be included in the comic... And so I decided to give it one more chance... And I was HOOKED!!! It's true that it's a bit slow at the beginning, but over time, the story was so deep and intricate but still made sense, the romance - with both Naruto and Hinata and the secondary couples - was done great, the characters were kept in character and the {{OCs}} didn't fall into Sue-dom, the plot twists were excellent, and eventually, the little nitpicks I had about it at first disappeared that I couldn't help BUT love it! It was no longer boring, the sketches appealed to me and I got used to the way it was supposed to be read. This is by far the best fan comic for Naruto I've ever read! And it's a LONG read too, so be prepared for it to take up a LOT of your time!
23	** [[SlowPacedBeginning While the story a first may look like a generic Naruhina story, it gets progressively better later on]], both in terms of plot, characters and [[ArtEvolution the artist's drawing style]]. While I have little tolerance for {{OCs}}, I couldn't help but fall in love with all of them (worth mention is Mina Mikon, Kiba's love interest). Also, the villains manage to be threatening without resorting to over the top attacks like dropping meteors or nuclear blasts, and the fight scenes, while not too many (the fancomic focuses mostly on romance) are rather well done, creative and avoid falling into the exaggerated mess that became towards the latests arcs of the manga. If you are a Naruhina fan, this comic is a must read.
24	** The story really gels into a solidly written work when a presumably-dead Naruto shows up on Suna's doorstep with a few holes in his memory and a [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome surprisingly realistic case of mild post-traumatic stress disorder]]. We catch a glimpse of a deeper and more rounded Naruto as the series progresses - difficulty communicating his deepest thoughts due to his lack of social skills, a deeply buried but still present anger at his childhood mistreatment and neglect, trouble shaking the belief that his current life and relationships are one bad day away from taking him back to a friendless and lonely existence... but he's still our smiling determinator, even if it takes some occasional reassurance from his loved ones that he is okay. And that is a guiding light, that even when relationships are thrust into the ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes''-esque actuality of a shonen anime, they are handled in a relatively realistic manner.

It's a series of comic strips drawn in SuperDeformed style, focused mostly on comedy, detailing the lives and romance of Naruto and Hinata (though many other characters appear as well, including some Original Characters from ''NHC''), with some fanservice here and there.

First off, the art is almost OriginalFlavor enough that it can be mistaken for Kisihimoto's at a cursory glance. It swings from funny to dramatic expertly and has excellent OC and original costume designs. And it is ''funny'', particularly Minato's interactions with his StalkerWithACrush Anko and the [[spoiler: double date the Uzumaki men go on with Sakura and Anko-and Hinata]]! It hasn't been updated in a few months but there seven chapters already made with most in color. It wouldn't hurt to check out the rest of Nekoni's art and other doujinshi, especially the dramatic yet also comical [[http://nekoni.deviantart.com/gallery/#Naruto-Henge Henge]] and the dark [[http://nekoni.deviantart.com/gallery/#Naruto-Captured Captured]]. ''Captured'' actually shows [[spoiler: Kakashi]] ''crying''. It's very disturbing... Also available on the artist's personal site [[http://www.nekoni.co.uk here]].
57	** griever222: Well, as the comic may now be back from being a DeadFic, I throw in my opinion. While the art is terrific, and the scenes which are meant to be funny, are hilarious, the comic has some problems. Most notably, in the beginning of the comic, Minato, (probably) [[UnintentionallyUnsympathetic unintentionally]] can come of as at least a very [[ParentalNeglect neglectful]] towards Naruto, for example being harsh and unsympathetic towards Naruto, saying Naruto has no change passing the Genin exam, despite the fact Minato knows it's not Naruto's fault, and not in the slightest defending his sons's honor when Sasuke mocks Naruto. Another problem is that Naruto(The Kyuubi?) somewhat TookALevelInDumbass (while Naruto was BookDumb, he had from the begining a certain guile, Naruto/Kyuubi lacks in this version) compared to canon Naruto, possibly because of CharacterExaggeration / {{Flanderization}} from the author. With author also arguably [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot Wasted a Good Plotline]], as the biggest difference in terms of personality of this Naruto, from the canon one, is the above described Flanderization, despite him being the reincarnated Kyuubi.

The art is is also great and really gets the characters' emotions across. Yes, for those who love sticking to canon there's some minor FridgeLogic about how the Kyuubi attack still happens, but overall it's a great read nonetheless.

You can expect everything to be changed by varying degrees, from raw chakra mechanics to character motivations to the basic history of Naruto's world. Some things will be similar to canon while others will be totally new. Likewise, several arcs will feel familiar while others will feel fresh.
