* ''WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}}'':
** Jafar promises Aladdin a reward if he gets the lamp for him. His ''eternal'' reward.
** Aladdin uses this on the Genie, provoking the Genie's pride so that he saves them from the Cave of Wonders without ever actually wishing for it: "I never actually wished to get out of the cave".
** For that matter, at the end of the story Aladdin points out to Jafar that the Genie has a lot more magical power than Jafar himself does. Jafar then uses his third wish to become a Genie himself. While it is true that genies are far more powerful in magic than any human sorcerer... they are also trapped within lamps and bound to serve whomever holds the lamp, and nothing in their magic allows them to go against that. [[IronicEcho "Phenomenal cosmic power... itty-bitty living space."]]
* In the sequel ''WesternAnimation/AladdinTheReturnOfJafar'', literal LiteralGenie Jafar found [[FateWorseThanDeath a fun little loophole]] in a Genie's rule about killing: that rule says nothing about causing non-lethal harm.
-->'''Iago:''' ''[coughs]'' You'd be surprised what you can live through.
* And for a [[RuleOfThree trifecta]], [[TheOmniscient the Oracle]] in ''WesternAnimation/AladdinAndTheKingOfThieves'' explains that she can answer anything asked of her, but she's "bound by the rule of One: One Question, One Answer." That includes ''rhetorical'' questions, as Iago frustratingly discovers when he accidentally wonders something out loud ("With all the other great stuff, why go for this thing?") and thus can't ask her anything else.
* In ''WesternAnimation/TheAmazingMaurice'', when Keith asks the Piper about some of the more disturbing stories they've heard about him, the Piper says half of the things people say aren't true. The more GenreSavvy Malicia asks ''which'' half.
* In ''WesternAnimation/{{Ark}}'', EvilChancellor Baramanda is threatening to have the heroine Amarinth's father, Commander Jallak, executed via a futuristic IronMaiden-like machine, demanding for Amarinth's surrender in exchange for Jallak's life. Amarinth complies, so Baramanda spares him a grisly death [[DeathOfAThousandCuts via dozens of spikes]]... only to, within Amarinth's presence, later order a strike team to gun down all the protestors outside his palace, including Jallak, much to Amarinth's horror.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Barnyard}}'': [[ThoseWilyCoyotes Dag]] promises Otis that he and his pack would kidnap only a few animals from the Barnyard every night, but didn't say anything about kidnapping ''seven'' hens during the ''day''.
* ''WesternAnimation/BarbieAsRapunzel'': When [[WickedWitch Gothel]] learns that Rapunzel has been secretly seeing Prince Stefan, she demands to know his name and, thinking Rapunzel is lying when she says she doesn't know it, casts a spell to seal the girl in her tower: "Never release your prisoner with a lying heart." However, Rapunzel ''genuinely doesn't know'' the Prince's name, as she actively went out of her way to avoid learning it to keep him safe from Gothel's magic. She's thus able to leave the tower, because the curse specifically says that it only works on people who lie and Rapunzel has been nothing but truthful.
* In ''WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast'', when Maurice is trying to get people in the tavern to help him after Beast has locked Belle in the dungeon, Gaston says "All right, old man. We'll help you out." He literally has people help Maurice ''out'': [[GettingTheBoot they escort him out of the tavern and into the snow]].
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Brave}}'':
** Merida wished that [[spoiler:her mother would "change"]] without specifying in what manner. The prince in the legend asked for [[spoiler:the strength of ten men]]. [[spoiler:The witch granted both of these wishes by turning her mother and the prince into bears]].
** When Merida learns that the contest for her hand is open to "the firstborn of any clan," she immediately selects archery as the test of skill...then enters ''herself'' in the contest, as she's the firstborn of her ''own'' clan.
* ''WesternAnimation/ABugsLife'': Hopper furiously chews out his brother Molt, leading to this:
-->'''Hopper''': I don't want to hear another word out of you while we're on this island. Do you understand me? (''Molt whimpers'') I SAID, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!\
'''Molt''': Well, how can I answer?! You said I couldn't say another word!
** Also, in the end where [[spoiler:Flik leads Hopper into a trap where the real bird is. When Hopper asked if it's one of his bird tricks, Flik answers, "Yep." In a sense, he's right.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/Cars3'': [=McQueen=] technically wins the Florida 500, [[spoiler:despite not being the number 95 car that finished the race, so he wins his bet against Sterling and doesn't have to retire.]]
* In ''WesternAnimation/{{Cinderella}}'', Lady Tremaine makes a deal with Cinderella that she can go to the ball ''if'' she gets all her work done and ''if'' she has something to wear. She and her daughters then load her down with chores, and when Cinderella's animal friends make her a dress anyway, she subtly provokes her daughters into ruining it. It's also implied that she often uses this to allow her to technically keep her word more than a few times.
-->'''Drizella:''' Mother! Do you realize what you just said?!\
'''Lady Tremaine:''' Of course. I said ''"if"''.
** Near the ending of the film, when Cinderella arrives in time for her to try the glass slipper on, her stepfamily attempt to dismiss her as someone unworthy (i.e., imaginative child), the Grand Duke refuses to back down, since his order includes scullery maids like Cinderella.
-->'''Grand Duke:''' Madame, my orders were ''every'' maiden.
* Midway through ''WesternAnimation/CinderellaIIIATwistInTime'', Prince Charming pulls this on his father, who has just told him not to go any further down the stairs. The prince agrees...and then leaps out the window, abseiling down some conveniently-placed ivy.
** Throughout the whole movie, Anastasia keeps dreaming of finding someone who loves her. [[spoiler:While she doesn't marry the Prince, she ''does'' realize that Cinderella and the King genuinely care about her and want her to be happy, unlike Lady Tremaine and Drizella. So she did find people who love her--just LikeBrotherAndSister rather than romantically. And the credits indicate that she'll eventually get that, too, as she did in ''Dreams Come True''.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/ChickenRun''
** Rocky promises the rat dealers Nick and Fetcher in exchange for the goods he needs for his most recent attempt to help the chickens fly, he'll give them "every egg [Rocky's] laid this month." Remember, Rocky is a ''rooster'' and physically incapable of laying one, so he's not lying, but neither of them will be getting any benefit. Luckily for him, neither of them realize they've been had until much later, and at that point Ginger is willing to give them ''actual'' eggs to help them get the tools for their final escape plan which prevents them from just walking off.
--->'''Rocky''': Hey, I'll give them exactly what I promised.\
'''Ginger''': Which is nothing.\
'''Rocky''': Which is what I'll give them.
** Old rooster Fowler is always talking about he served in the RAF during the war. This leads to a CaptainObvious moment later when the other chickens are shocked that he doesn't know how to fly a plane and he's just as shocked they thought he did; he never said he was a ''pilot'', after all. He was obviously serving as a mascot, because ''he's a chicken''.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Coco}}'': "I hope you die very soon." This at first seems like an amusing line to mean that Ernesto looks forward to the next time he sees his reunited great-great-grandson when he returns to the afterlife for good. However, once the twist is revealed, this hints that Ernesto may be jealous of Miguel's natural talent, and rather hopes he dies before he becomes more famous than him.
* In ''WesternAnimation/DespicableMe1'', when Agnes is heartbroken at not winning the stuffed unicorn she was after in a (very likely rigged) carnival game, [[PapaWolf Gru]] invokes this by saying "My turn!" and using his own gun. The game operator only said that the target had to be knocked over; he said nothing about not ''destroying'' it in the process, along with most of the rest of the stand.
* At the climax of ''WesternAnimation/DespicableMe3'' where [[BigBad Balthazar Bratt]] has [[spoiler:kidnapped the girls, trapping them inside his giant robot replica of himself]] Edith demands "let us out!" and Bratt opens the prison compartment, picks up the girls with his giant robot's hand, and casually places them on [[spoiler:''the edge of a skyscraper!'']]
* In ''WesternAnimation/Dougs1stMovie'', Roger Klotz has the twins build Robo-Crusher to deal with the monster of Lake Bluffington that's been revealed that was supposed to be giant (using a diagram that shows himself as the scale of the size). They then build Robo-Crusher, only for it to be shown to be extremely smaller than intended (It was about Roger's height at best). When Roger points out that it's supposed to be much larger, the Twins agree... and then shrink Roger down to the size indicated on the graph, with Roger then commenting that this wasn't funny and demanding to be changed back.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheEmperorsNewGroove'' plays with a nonverbal variation when, in one scene, Kuzco confesses to Pacha that he may be [[HeelFaceTurn having second thoughts about demolishing Pacha's village and building his waterpark in its place.]] Pacha, suspicious of Kuzco's intentions, makes him shake hands to prove he means it. When Pacha falls through the wooden bridge in a later scene, Kuzco [[ILied casually reveals the confession was a lie to get Pacha to take him back to the palace.]] He was actually going to have Pacha arrested and imprisoned for life when they arrived, and then move forward with his plans to demolish the village, anyway. Kuzco used the fact that [[ForcedTransformation he was a llama]] when he shook with Pacha to absolve himself of any obligation to keep his word.
-->'''Kuzco:''' Y'know, the funny thing about shaking hands is... ''[holds up llama hooves]'' you need hands!
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Encanto}}'': The Madrigal family repeatedly insist that they do not talk about Bruno. They'll sing about him, sure...
** Speaking of Bruno, this trope explains why [[spoiler: he's NotEvilJustMisunderstood. His special power is the [[{{Seer}} ability to see the future]] and offer prophecies about it. Note that he only ''sees'' the future, he doesn't ''cause'' the outcomes he predicts. Nevertheless, people eventually started treating him as if he was the reason bad things were happening and cast him aside.]]
** Bruno apparently once prophesied to Delores that "the man of [her] dreams would be just out of reach, betrothed to another." [[spoiler: It's a reference to her love for Mariano, who is engaged to Isabela. The key word is ''betrothed''--Bruno never said that Isabela and Mariano would definitely marry...]]
* Pabbie, the elder troll in ''WesternAnimation/{{Frozen|2013}}'', does this twice, and both times his exact words are misinterpreted. First, when the King and Queen of Arandelle bring Elsa to him for help, he warns them that "fear will be her enemy." Her parents believe that the outside world would fear her, so they try to keep her powers a secret. But ultimately it is her own fear that causes her to lose control of her powers, and living in self-imposed isolation only sets those fears in concrete. Later, when Kristoff brings Anna to Pabbie to heal her when Elsa accidentally froze her heart, Pabbie tells them that only "an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart." [[spoiler:Anna believes this means TrueLovesKiss, so Kristoff races her home to be reunited with her True Love Hans, who turns out to have been EvilAllAlong. However, Pabbie never said it had to be ''romantic'' love, just ''genuine'' love. In the end, it is Anna's own Act of Love ([[HeroicSacrifice blocking Hans' sword from killing Elsa just as she froze solid]]) that thaws her heart.]]
** Played for laughs when Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf arrive at Elsa's ice palace, and Anna tells the boys to give her a minute alone with her sister. Olaf sits down and starts counting, and Kristoff eventually joins in. Bonus points because if you watch the time on the screen, he comes in exactly a minute later, having counted all the way up to sixty.
** "You can't marry a man you just met." This not only refers to Anna's instant engagement with Hans [[spoiler:but also serves as a warning that Hans is not what he seems]].
** Hans "would never shut [Anna] out", [[spoiler:but he ''would'' shut her ''in.'']]
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Hercules}}''
** When the Fates tell Hades of the prophecy, one warns him that "Should Hercules fight, you will fail." He takes it that he just needs to kill Hercules before ultimately just stealing away his SuperStrength. But the prophecy says ''nothing'' about Herc having his prodigious strength. Then, Hades makes the mistake of sending the Cyclops to wreck havoc prompting a weak and heartbroken Herc to go out there...
** This also ties into Hades' deal with Herc: in exchange for Herc's strength, Hades promises that no harm shall come to Meg. When Meg shoves Herc out of the way of a falling column, she is grievously injured, thus nullifying Hades' deal, since it was specified that Meg had to be safe from ''any'' harm, not just that Hades wouldn't hurt her himself.
** Another one is when Pain and Panic kidnap baby Hercules and force him to drink the potion that would steal away his godly gifts. Pain specifically says he must drink "every last drop". However, a wandering couple pass by and spook the two demons, causing them to drop the bottle and allow "the last drop" to be wasted, thus Hercules retains his insane super strength while he doesn't have his godhood anymore.
* ''WesternAnimation/HotelTransylvania3SummerVacation'': Abraham forces Ericka to make a promise to not try to kill Dracula until they reach Atlantis; she hastily complies. Once he's gone, Ericka says to herself she will not ''try to'' kill Dracula... she ''will'' kill Dracula.
* ''WesternAnimation/IceAge1'': This quote, which also qualifies as a BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor moment:
-->''(Diego manages to jump over an impossibly long gap in an erupting volcano)''\
'''Sid:''' Man, I wish I could jump like that.\
'''Manny:''' Wish granted!\
''(Manny kicks Sid all the way to the other side)''
* ''WesternAnimation/IceAgeTheMeltdown'' has this gem:
-->'''Vulture:''' There is some good news though. The more of you die, the better I eat.\
'''Everyone:''' *Gasp*\
'''Vulture:''' I didn't say it was good news for YOU. ''(flies off)''
* In ''WesternAnimation/Incredibles2'', Helen asks Bob how Jack-Jack is doing. Bob replies that Jack-Jack is in excellent health, to cover up the difficulties he has been having with Jack-Jack's new-found powers. He's not exactly wrong or lying.
* In ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda1'', Tai Lung hears that Shifu's new student is a warrior unlike anyone who's ever been seen before. He clearly imagines this means an unstoppable powerhouse like himself. So he's completely unprepared to face a comedic protagonist [[StrategySchmategy who has no idea what he's doing]] -- even though that fits the description much better.
* The Soothsayer in ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda2'' has a habit of telling her fortunes in this manner.
-->'''Soothsayer:''' If you continue on your current path, you will find yourself...at the bottom of the stairs.
* In ''WesternAnimation/TheLionKing1994'', Simba asks whether he'll like the surprise at the ravine. Scar then tells Simba that the surprise "is something to die for." Let's just say that Scar was being perfectly honest about it being [[DeadlyEuphemism "something to die for."]]
* In ''WesternAnimation/MonstersUniversity'', the only rules in the Library challenge is "don't get caught by the librarian" and to "capture the flag". Oozma Kappa exploits this by misdirecting and distracting the librarian so that they could all leave the library safely. Then after they are flung out, they still pass since they got the flag.
* ''Literature/PeterNoTail'' (1981): [[CatsAreMean Måns]] tries to trick the titular character Peter/[[DubNameChange Pelle]] into [[CatsHateWater getting soaked with a hose]] by telling him that Maya Creamnose, whom Pelle has feelings for, [[CatConcerto loves singing]]. ''Maya'' loves singing of course, but her owners hate it. Fortunately, Maya ends up immediately warning Pelle when he does so, so Måns is the one who ends up soaked.
* ''WesternAnimation/PeterPan''
** Captain Hook initially promises Tinkerbell "not to lay a finger on Peter Pan." This leaves a pretty obvious loophole, which Tinkerbell closes by making sure he specifies that he won't use his namesake HookHand either. A TimeBomb, on the other hand, is neither a finger nor a hook...
** In the sequel, ''WesternAnimation/ReturnToNeverland'', Hook promises Jane (Wendy's daughter) that he won't harm a hair on Peter's head. When he captures Peter, he plucks out ''the one hair he won't harm'' and gives it to Jane. Later in the same film, when Peter is about to WalkThePlank, he tells the Lost Boys, who are tied to the Jolly Roger's mast, not to let the Pirates see them cry. The Lost Boys turn around and start crying so the Pirates won't see them.
* ''WesternAnimation/ThePrinceOfEgypt'': "And there shall be a great cry in all of Egypt, such as never has been or ever will be again", said by Rameses when he decides that his father had the right idea of how to keep the Hebrews in line by killing their children and wants to finish the job. [[spoiler:There's a great cry in all of Egypt, all right, but it doesn't come from the Hebrews...]]
* ''WesternAnimation/ThePrincessAndTheFrog''
** Dr. Facilier told Naveen that there was "green" in his future and that he'd be able to "hop from place to place" like he always wanted. Soon afterwards he turned Naveen into a frog. For Naveen's assistant, [[ButtMonkey Lawrence]], Facilier told him that his future is becoming ''exactly'' the man he always wanted to be. And surely enough, Lawrence was given a charm that turns him into Prince Naveen, as part of Facilier's plot to gain Big Daddy [=LaBouff's=] fortune.
** Later in the film, Mama Odie points out that while Naveen does indeed have to kiss a princess to break the spell, there is no requirement that the princess be born royalty; the girl only has to bear the title as is the case for Charlotte, Princess of the Mardi Gras parade. [[spoiler:This also applies to princesses who get the title by ''marrying'' a prince, which is how Naveen and Tiana end up breaking the spell; when she marries him and he kisses the bride, the kiss finally returns them to normal.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/PussInBootsTheLastWish'' Upon delivering the map to the Wishing Star, the Serpent Sisters demand that Jack Horner pay them their weight in gold as promised. He complies by letting one of the sister’s touch the Hand of Midas, which turns her into a golden statue, thus her weight in gold.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Rango}}''
** [[spoiler:The mayor]] who has Beans hostage tells Rango to "hand over the gun". Rango has no choice but to comply. [[spoiler:But the mayor said nothing about handing over the bullet.]]
** Also, throughout the film, the Owl band leader repeatedly and glumly remarks that Rango is going to die. [[spoiler:When the movie ends and Rango gets his happy ending, the band leader still says he's going to die since [[WeAllDieSomeday everyone does eventually]].]]
** In the beginning, an armadillo tells him that to find water, he must first find dirt. Dirt is the name of the nearest town.
* In ''WesternAnimation/RockAndRule'', the computer tells Mok that only "one voice, one heart, one song" can send his demon back. When Mok demands to know whose voice this is, the computer replies, 'No one. There is...no one." As Mok discovers, [[spoiler:as he's being dragged into hell, the computer did not mean there was no person able to sing the demon back, but that no single person alone could do it, since it took Angel AND Omar to sing the demon back to hell.]]
* In ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsonsMovie'', during Church, [[Foreshadowing Grandpa Simpsons gave out a spiritual warning of the future.]]
--> Grandpa: Twisted tale, a thousand eyes, trapped forever! - EPA! EPA! EPA!
** First, Homer adopts a new Pig, and Marge note’s of the pig’s “twisted tail”
** Then, when a squirrel entered the town’s polluted lake, it mutated into a horrifying creature with “a thousand eyes”
** And eventually, the Enviormental Protection Agency, also known as “EPA”, seals Springfield in a giant glass dome, making them “trapped forever!”
* ''WesternAnimation/ShrekForeverAfter'':
** [[spoiler:Shrek turns himself in to Rumpelstiltskin in exchange for the release of all the ogres in his dungeon. However, he still keeps Fiona imprisoned, as due to her curse she's not "all ogre".]]
** The whole plot is the result of this: when Rumpelstiltskin first meets Shrek, he offers him a day to live like a proper ogre (i.e., scaring villagers, outrunning [[TorchesAndPitchforks angry mobs]]), in exchange for "a day from your past that you don't remember". Turns out, the day Shrek gave away was ''the day he was born'', meaning [[ItMakesSenseInContext Rumpelstiltskin is in power]], Fiona was never freed from the tower, and none of Shrek's friends recognize him.
** He also gave a similar contract to Fiona's parents by promising that signing the agreement [[DeadlyEuphemism would make all their problems disappear]]. In the original timeline, they never signed it, but in the timeline where Shrek was never born, they were immediately erased from existence after putting their names down; after all, you can't have any problems when you're dead.
** [[spoiler: The condition to break the spell is also this, as it requires a "True Love's Kiss". As Fiona was never rescued by Shrek, she doesn't know him and certainly doesn't love him. Not only was this a barrier to getting a kiss from Fiona in the first place, but it also meant that Shrek had to earn her love all over again (as he painfully found out when Fiona kissed him out of frustration after he ruined the ambush and the spell wasn't broken). And due to another exact wording of the contract, he only has one day to do so.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/Sing2'': When Crystal comes under the impression that Buster knows Clay Calloway, Buster answers his questions with questions of his own that make it seem like he's giving affirmative answers while never technically lying.
-->'''Crystal:''' Are you telling me you got Clay Calloway's permission to use his song?\
'''Buster:''' Well, what if I told you I did?\
'''Crystal:''' Okay, so what, you got some kind of personal connection to this guy?\
'''Buster:''' How else would I get it?
* In ''WesternAnimation/TheSwordInTheStone'', during the wizard's duel between Merlin and Mad Madam Mim, Mim sets among the rules: "No mineral or vegetable, only animals," and "No make-believe things, like, oh, pink dragons and stuff." She later turned into a ''purple'' dragon, saying, "Did I say no purple dragons? DID I?" Merlin beats her at her own game by turning into an animal... a germ, which infects Mim, causing her to become violently ill and lose the duel.
* Rapunzel in ''WesternAnimation/{{Tangled}}'' is known not to break promises, which is part of the reason why she doesn't leave the tower in the first place. The promise she agrees to at the end of the song "Mother Knows Best" is "Don't ever ask to leave this tower again." Key word: ask.
* In ''WesternAnimation/TheThiefAndTheCobbler'', the Witch says that to defeat One-Eye they need to "attack, attack, attack!". Later, Tack realized that what she was really saying was "a tack", so he shoots one of his shoe tacks at the One-Eyes' army, causing a chain reaction that takes them all out.
* ''Franchise/ToyStory''
** From [[WesternAnimation/ToyStory1 the original]]: Woody's (initially harmless) attempt to supplant Buzz as his owner's favorite toy goes awry, and nearly kills Buzz. Buzz eventually catches up to Woody, and they have a chat:
--->'''Buzz Lightyear:''' I just wanted to let you know that even though you tried to terminate me, revenge is not an idea we promote on my planet.\
'''Woody:''' Oh, well, that's good.\
'''Buzz:''' But we're not ''on'' my planet. ''[pause]'' Are we?\
'''Woody:''' Uh... No? ''[Buzz attacks Woody]''
** In ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory2'', the Utility Belt Buzz says that to get through the vent leading to Al's apartment, he requests that Rex "use his head". [[UseYourHead The toys proceed to use Rex as a battering ram to burst into the room]] (Woody also unintentionally let it happen by not screwing the vent back in).
--->'''Rex:''' But I don't wanna use my head!
* In ''WesternAnimation/TurningRed'', Mei tells Abby to hit her gesturing at her arm. Abby punches her in the face.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Up}}'':
** This exchange near the end:
--->'''Muntz:''' Any last words, Fredericksen? Come on, spit it out!
--->'''Carl:''' *spits out his dentures at Muntz*
** In the final scene, when Carl and Russell are playing the "red vehicle/blue vehicle" game, Carl counts a red bike, even though that's not how Russell used to play the game with his dad.
* In the 2009 ''WesternAnimation/WonderWoman2009'' animated movie, after breaking free of his imprisonment, [[WarGod Ares]] goes to [[EveryBodyHatesHades Hades]] to remove his RestrainingBolt. Ares believes Hades is the only one of the [[Myth/ClassicalMythology Greek Gods]] who might consider doing so, largely because the simple act of Ares walking around on Earth without said restraining bolt will cause a HatePlague complete with violence and conflict... and many of the people who die as a result will become helpless slaves to Hades. Hades notes that [[TopGod Zeus]] begged Hades not to help Ares if Ares came to him, but eventually Hades does set Ares free. At the end of the movie, after [[KillTheGod Wonder Woman has killed Ares to stop his plan]], Hades reveals that Zeus begged him not to help Ares... ''because'' if Ares got himself in trouble once again (as Zeus foresaw he would), Zeus would not be able to save or show mercy to him once again. So Hades "helped" Ares, [[BatmanGambit knowing that Ares would almost certainly attempt a scheme too ambitious for him to actually carry out]], and once Ares died as a result of that scheme, ''Ares himself'' would become a slave of the Underworld under the dominion of Hades. So essentially everything in the movie after Ares breaks free is Hades setting a trap for Ares, Ares blundering right into it, and then Hades sitting back and waiting for the inevitable to happen. [[MagnificentBastard Wow]].
* In ''WesternAnimation/WreckItRalph'', King Candy goes to confront Ralph over Vanellope. When Ralph confronts him, ready to punch his face in, Candy tries to stop him by pulling out a pair of glasses, slipping them on and asking him "[[YouWouldntHitAGuyWithGlasses You wouldn't hit a guy with glasses]], would ya?" Ralph pulls the glasses off and hits him with them.
-->'''King Candy:''' You hit a guy ''with glasses''. [[ActuallyPrettyFunny That's... that's well-played.]]
* In ''WesternAnimation/{{Zootopia}}'', Nick employs this in his pawpsicle hustle when he states the lumber made from the pawpsicle sticks is "red wood" ("wood" that is "red", rather than "redwood" or wood from redwood trees). Later used when [[spoiler:Chief Bogo is about to force Judy to resign for not finding Mr. Otterton in time, and Nick notes that Chief Bogo said he gave her 48 hours and they still have 10 hours left.]] [[spoiler: In a FreezeFrameBonus when Nick signs the police form, he first checks off a box for Yes stating if he has ever been arrested for a crime, only for that box to be crossed out and checked the No. Technically, Judy never officially arrested him.]]
