1''Pokémon Frost and Flame'' is a ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'' game idea created by [[http://sunflorazumarill.deviantart.com/ Sunflorazumarill]] that started in November 2016 (around the time ''VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon'' was released). Like ''[[DarthWiki/PokemonFloraAndAzure Pokémon Flora, Azure, and Solar]]'' and ''DarthWiki/PokemonInfiniteAndZero'' (and ''Pokémon Vari-Infi and Vari-Zero'') before it, it's a main series game. Like the previous two "generations", it takes characters and locations from various anime, manga, and visual novels and gives them the roles of important NP characters such as Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, villainous team members, and more. Also like the previous two, it offers several new features and also new Pokémon, the latter which happens to be the main emphasis for ''Pokémon Frost and Flame''.

3The game takes place in Floredisa, a tropical region based off of French Polynesia. It consists of one huge island making up to half of its total landmass and is surrounded by a number of small islands that are divided into three island chains. The games follow the typical formula of ''Pokémon'' games, with these involving a new Trainer from Natsurio Island starting on his or her journey through Floredisa. Along the way, he or she will battle Gym Leaders, eventually the Elite Four and Champion, and also fight against Team Crystal, the villainous team in ''Pokémon Frost and Flame'', and also learning about mysteries of the region and also the two Legendary Pokémon that are said to be the creators of heat and cold.

5A pair of follow-ups called ''Pokémon [=BlazeFrost=] and [=ChillFlame=]'' started in November 2017. These feature an alternate story that's tied to that of ''Pokémon Frost and Flame'' and introduce new Pokémon forms, new regional variants, new Mega forms, and even brand new Pokémon and Ultra Beasts, not to mention new Z-Moves and other new features, such as new Poké-Ride options.

30* GhostShip: There's an aptly named ship that sometimes appears at night in the West/East Island Chain that you can access.
31* HailfirePeaks: Floraze Island, which is accessed in the postgame, is an island where one half is lava, volcanoes, and Fire-type Pokémon, the other half snowstorms, glaciers, and Ice-type Pokémon, with a lake separating the two. This was once an ordinary island until two years prior, a Totem-like Vovalgia and a Totem-like Neptunedra battled for ten days straight. 32* HollywoodNatives: In its ancient past, Floredisa had a tribal civilization that while it may have almost disappeared by modern times, there's still a couple handfuls of tribal natives that can be found in the region, mainly the Tribal Village and Tribal Relics. One of the few modern technologies they use happen to be Pokéballs.
33* HornetHole: Located on Marshain Island is a place called the Giant Hive, which is a massive beehive containing Pokémon such as Kakuna, Beedrill, Cutiefly, Combee, and a VERY slim possibility of finding Vespiquen.
34* {{Irony}}: Atlas, a place that in ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}'' happens to be located in a frigid northern area, is located in the mainly ''tropical'' setting of Floredisa in ''Pokémon Frost and Flame''. However, the city is located on a high elevation area where the temperature is far lower than most of the region and thanks to seasonal and weather conditions, even still has snow.
35* JigglePhysics: Believe it or not, this kind of thing is present in a ''Pokémon'' game. Expect a number of female characters to have their "assets" shake and bounce a bit both on the overworld and in battle.
36* JungleJapes: Verdant Jungle is a large tropical rain forest where various Grass- and Bug-type Pokémon are found and also holds Canopa Town in its treetops.

39* MegaCity: Metropol Island is a hugely populated city taking up the entirety of the island it's found on that's filled with skyscrapers and various places, such as the Entertainment Town, which houses a number of casinos, including a Game Corner, and Metropol TV Station, the Prestige District, a fancy community that contains Seikain Academy, and Metropol Harbor, a large port where various ships dock and also where a warehouse complex is located. It's by far the largest city in the region and the location of the sixth Gym (the first Gym in ''Pokémon [=BlazeFrost=] and [=ChillFlame=]'') as well as the home port of the Metropol Super-Liner.
40* MegaCorp: The Schnee Dust Company is a massive corporation that's based in Floredisa, heading the region's market in Crystite, Evolution Stones, Z-Crystals, and Mega Stones, with their HQ located in the City of Atlas. [[spoiler: They turn out to be in league with Team Crystal.]]
41* TheMaze: The Aqua Maze near the South Island chain is a strange area where the way through changes every day and is easy to get lost in. Within here, Flower Islet may appear on certain days, but reaching it is a LuckBasedMission.
42* MirrorWorld: Between versions of the game, the layout of the overworld is mirrored, meaning that for example, the West Island Chain in ''Pokémon Frost'' is instead the East Island Chain in ''Pokémon Flame''; the Mermaid Ruins are located on the west side of Central Island in ''Pokémon Flame'' while they're located on the east side in ''Pokémon Frost''.

50* ShipshapeShipwreck: Natsuiro Town is an interesting take on this trope, as its homes and buildings are actually shipwrecked ships that have been renovated and repurposed. The ships themselves are partially buried in the ground and pointed in various directions.

117** First is a move called Time Compress, a dual Psychic/Fairy-type move that involves it stopping time around the opponent, then crushing it with time itself.
