-->-- '''[[ByThePowerOfGreyskull Morphing call]]'''
The fifteenth instalment of the DarthWiki/PowerRangersRedverse written by Tropers/MadRedX12, using suit designs from Series/KyoryuSentaiZyuranger while having some connections to the actual Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers. It's been centuries since the defeat of the United Alliance of Evil and the death of Lord Omnicron, and all that's left are a few straggler groups of villains across the universe - one of which is led by Rita Repulsa, who just so happens to be the wife of the [[SealedEvilInACan sealed]] Lord Zedd and on top of that the daughter of Master Vile from back when he was the Eltarian Vahil. After forming her own little army, Rita heads to Earth, intending to conquer the InsignificantLittleBluePlanet to have a base of operations from which she can safely begin her plan to become a GalacticConqueror. Unable to acquire assistance from the existing Ranger teams, [[BigGood Zordon, the Red Eltar Ranger]], travels to Earth himself with his [[RobotBuddy trusty assistant Alpha 5]], the Dinozords that went unused by the Flash Rangers, and the six [[ArtifactOfHope Power Coins]] that Ninjor had forged for use in the Supernova Gigazord, in order to stop Rita from menacing the home of his missing friend Zedd. When he arrives, he activates the old [[HomeBase Command Centre]] Zedd had him build, and finds that the [[ImportedAlienPhlebotinum magical and technological effects emitted by it]] has resulted in a small society of AdvancedAncientHumans who live near the facility. Taking up residence at the Command Centre and interacting with the local humans, who [[LikeAGodToMe perceive]] the SufficientlyAdvancedAlien and his robot companion as [[AGodIAmNot gods]], Zordon begins to realise that the Power Coins can create a new team of Power Rangers, but the sentient coins will only grant this power to those they deem worthy.

While Zordon continues trying to understand the mysteries of the coins, Rita launches her first attack, stealing the Dragon Power Coin and sending down hordes of [[{{Mooks}} Putty Patrollers]] to menace the human civilisation. During the assault, Zordon is cornered and then saved by [[FiveManBand five residents of the village]] - [[TheHero Geki]], the younger brother of the village's elected leader Burai; [[TheSmartGuy Goushi]], a scholar and astronemer; [[TheBigGuy Dan]], a knight and delivery boy; [[TheLancer Boi]], a farmer and explorer; and [[TheHeart Mei]], an artist and Boi's gleeful companion. [[{{Determinator}} Badly beaten and outnumbered but refusing to give up]], the five humans continue to fight until they're completely surrounded ... [[KarmicJackpot whereupon the Power Coins come to them in a cloud of light and grant them their power, making them into a new team of Power Rangers]] known as the Mighty Morphin' Rangers. Upon seeing her forces be defeated by a gang of [[HumansAreInsects the humans she despises]], Rita becomes even more determined to conquer Earth, with the newly-formed Rangers continuing to fight her forces with the assistance of the veteran Zordon and the rest of their village.

While the Rangers continue to develop their skills and bonds with one another, Rita exploits her stolen Dragon Power Coin, kidnapping Burai and [[BrainwashedAndCrazy brainwashing him]] into becoming her [[EvilCounterpart evil Green Ranger]], equipped with an ancient treasure known as the [[PoweredArmour Dragon Armour]]. After coming [[NearVillainVictory dangerously close to killing the Rangers]], the Rangers are able to [[HeelFaceTurn break the spell and bring Burai over to their side]], allowing them to reach six members and also gain new options for combat with his Dragonzord and later the autonomous Brachiosaurus Zord known as Titanus. As Rita's forces grow in number and power, the Rangers, backed by their allies, fight to protect the ancient Earth from the forces of evil.

!!The Mighty Morphin' Rangers:
* '''Geki/[[red:Mighty Morphin' Red Ranger]]:''' TheLeader,

* '''Boi/[[gold:Mighty Morphin' Yellow Ranger]]:''' TheLancer,
* '''Mei/[[pink:Mighty Morphin' Pink Ranger]]:''' TheHeart
* '''Burai/[[green:Mighty Morphin' Green Ranger]]:''' The SixthRanger,

!!Their Allies are:
* '''Zordon:''' The BigGood, an individual who has [[DarthWiki/PowerRangersAncientGuardians some experience]] [[DarthWiki/PowerRangersResistance when it comes]] [[DarthWiki/PowerRangersSunVulcan to Power Rangers]] [[DarthWiki/PowerRangersMythicalBlitz fighting the forces]] [[DarthWiki/PowerRangersOuterspaceChase of evil]].
* '''Alpha 5:''' Zordon's [[RobotBuddy robotic assistant]] and [[MissionControl the maintenance operator for the Command Centre and the Dinozords]].
* '''Otome:''' Goushi's [[CoolBigSis older sister]] and the Rangers' HonoraryTrueCompanion.

!!And they're up against:
* '''Rita Repulsa:''' The BigBad, the daughter of Vahill and the wife of Lord Zedd. The leader of a small splinter group from the now destroyed United Alliance of Evil, she's intent on conquering Earth to spite the Eltar Rangers and to allow her a base of operations that's out of the way.
* '''Goldar:''' TheDragon, a manticore-like Titanian Warrior clad in [[BlingOfWar golden armour]] who serves as her main enforcer and Geki's ArchEnemy.
* '''Finster:''' The EvilGenius, a Claydoionian scientist and scientist who creates monsters for her with his skills and Monster-Matic machine.

* '''Baboo and Squatt:''' The resident BumblingHenchmenDuo, a pair of rejected United Alliance of Evil soldiers who were picked up by Rita along the way and serve as her [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking spies, saboteurs and scapegoats]]. With Baboo being an Pougite alchemist and Squatt being a Mygorian recorder, they tend to be sidelined in most capacities, although they do make their own efforts to fight the Rangers.
* '''Scorpina:''' The evil SixthRanger, the wife of Goldar and [[ArtificialHuman "daughter"]] of Count Ethegon who arrives on Earth to provide assistance to the villains.

!!Recurring Power Rangers Redverse Tropes:
* BratsWithSlingshots: The Thunder Slingers, which are basically slingshots that fire energy bolts.
* ByThePowerOfGrayskull: "It's morphing time! DINO/DRAGON BUCKLE!", followed by the prehistoric animal their respective Zord is based off of.
--> ''Mastodon!''
--> ''Pterodactyl!''
--> ''Triceratops!''
--> ''Saber-Tooth Tiger!''
--> ''Tyrannosaurus!''
--> ''Dragonzord!''
* CoolBike: The Battle Bikes, three bikes for the Red, Black and Blue Rangers which have [[CoolSidecar sidecars]] for the Green, Yellow and Pink Rangers respectively.
* CoolSword: Geki's Tyranno Sword, which can transform into the [[TransformationTrinket Tyranno Battlizer Morpher]].
* CustomUniform: The Green Ranger outfit stands out from the rest of the team due to its golden Dragon Armor vest and armlets which Geki briefly uses after Burai's temporary depowering. The outfit also has golden trims on its boots and gloves, and a red stone fitted into the helmet that is said to be made by the same material as the Power Crystals.
* DoubleWeapon: Dan's Triceratops Lance, which can transform into the Mighty Maces.
* FiveManBand: The Mighty Morphin' Rangers.
* HomeBase: The Command Centre, which is also Zordon and Alpha 5's residence. The Rangers themselves have their own homes in the Home Village, but do tend to meet up at the Command Centre.
* HumongousMecha:
** AnimalMecha: All of the Dinozords, which are all based on different varieties of prehistoric animal (and a dragon).
** CombiningMecha:
*** Tyrannosaurus Dinozord + Mastodon Dinozord + Triceratops Dinozord + Sabre-Tooth Tiger Dinozord + Pterodactyl Dinozord = Dino Megazord, which has Carrier Mode and Warrior Mode.
*** Dragonzord + Mastodon Dinozord + Triceratops Dinozord + Sabre-Tooth Tiger Dinozord = Dragonzord Battle Mode
*** Dragonzord Battle Mode + Tyrannosaurus Dinozord + Pterodactyl Dinozord = Mega Dragonzord
*** Mega Dragonzord + Titanus = Dino Ultrazord
** TransformingMecha: The Dino Megazord starts out in Carrier Mode, then converts into the humanoid Warrior Mode. The form Titanus takes when it pulls out its twin tail cannons is also considered a transformed mode.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Rita Repulsa, being the TropeNamer and all.
--> '''Rita:''' Magic wand, ''MAKE MY MONSTER GROW!''
* MakerOfMonsters: Finster, who sculpts the monsters from magical clay and then puts the figurine in his Monster-Matic machine to "bake" them into a full-sized monster.
* MixAndMatchWeapon: Burai's Dragon Dagger, which is both a dagger and a [[MagicalFlutist flute that can be played to create different spells]].
* {{Mooks}}: The [[{{Golem}} Putty Patrollers]] and their [[EliteMooks Putty Captains]].
* PoweredArmour: Burai's Dragon Armour, the only recurring piece of the Rangers' arsenal that's man-made, even though the metal that forms it was mined from a meteorite.
* TheStraightAndArrowPath: Mei's Pterodactyl Bow, which can transform into the [[MusicalAssassin Morphin' Mesmeriser]].
* SupervillainLair: The Moon Palace.
* SwissArmyWeapon: In addition to the [[FrickinLaserBeams Blade]] [[CoolSword Blasters]], all of the main five's Power Weapons can transform into different forms, with the Red Ranger's weapon being able to become a Battlizer Morpher and the other four Rangers' being able to become different weapons.
* TransformationTrinket: The Dino Buckle Morphers, which are belt buckles that hold the Power Coins. Burai's Morpher is a gold-plated version known as the Dragon Buckle Morpher.

!!Tropes specific to Mighty Morphin':
* AdaptationExpansion:
** All of the ''[=Zyu2=]'' monsters (save for Pirantis Head, who becomes a AscendedExtra in the sequel, and Rhinblaster due to not fitting in the ancient history setting), the Rat Monsters and Turkey Jerk from MMPR Season 2, and Repellator and Incisorator from MMPR Season 3 are included.
** [[EnigmaticMinion Lokar]] gets given a proper origin and explanation - he's one of the twelve pieces of Lord Omnicron that was scattered across the twelve timelines after his death and then transformed into a whole new entity of evil, similar to the Inquisitor.
* AdaptationalExplanation: The DeusExMachina related to the Legendary Weapons from ''Zyuranger'' is given its own, more acceptable explanation - the Rangers' quest isn't on a time limit, and rather than simply leaping into the Rangers' hands, they find that the weapons appear broken, worn-down and unusable. As the other Rangers are about to leave in despair, Geki takes the weapons from the stone they were imbedded in and says that the weapon is only the focus and the power to fight Rita is within them. When the Rangers then touch the junk weapons with renewed courage, the Power Weapons then transform into their true forms.
* AdaptationalHeroism: Compared to his ''Zyuranger'' counterpart, Burai was always a good person who was BrainwashedAndCrazy rather than acting on his own violation out of jealously, and after the spell is broken immediately joins the Rangers as a full-fledged hero.
* AdaptationalJerkass: Finster acts more like a downplayed version of his ''Zyuranger'' counterpart [[GrumpyOldMan Pleprechaun]], although he's still always polite to Rita.
--> '''Finster:''' [[CatchPhrase You can't rush art!]]
* AdaptationPersonalityChange: Well, in this case, Adaptation PERSONALITY, considering how [[FlatCharacter utterly flat]] and [[SupportingProtagonist side-lined compared to the random children]] the ''Zyurangers'' were.
** Geki is a loyal NiceGuy much like his ''Zyuranger'' counterpart, but here he has his fair share of flaws and insecurities, most notably his [[LeeroyJenkins recklessness]] and [[FearlessFool inability to detect scenarios where he can't win]], as well as his fears of being a bad leader.
** Goushi is TheStoic with some InsufferableGenius tendencies, well aware of his intelligence and tending to get frustrated when others don't display the same interests as him, [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold but unafraid to admit when he's wrong and still being friends with his teammates]].
** Dan is ThePrankster and TheSlacker, [[{{Manchild}} immature and with a tendency to be distracted by whatever piques his interest at that moment]] whie also becoming a lot more HotBlooded in battle, but also [[NiceGuy with never a mean word to say about anyone and always pursuing noble goals]].
** Boi is a [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold frustrated but caring individual]] with a InferioritySuperiorityComplex and a tendency to make [[JerkassHasAPoint rightly-aimed criticisms]] and [[ArmorPiercingQuestion ask questions that she feels are important and have not yet been answered by Geki or Zordon]].
** Mei is a ClassicalAntiHero, a wide-eyed but inexperienced teenager whose idealism leaves her [[HeroicBSOD emotionally fragile]] and whose [[SuperGullible gullibility often leads to her being tricked]], but still maintaining a [[NiceGirl sweet nature]] and [[DitzyGenius surprising moments of cunning]].
* AdaptedOut: Some of the monsters, such as Babe Ruthless and Samurai Fan Man, are not included due to not fitting the setting of the 8th century BC, instead being reserved for the sequel.
* AdvancedAncientHumans: While nowhere near as advanced as modern humans, the tribe of humans [[ImportedAlienPhlebotinum who live around the Command Centre]] in the 8th century BC are far more advanced than any other human civilisation from the time, with a primitive democratic system, a basic writing system, woodcutting, wagons with wheels, weaving, bow and arrows, and slingshots using stones. Zordon even comments that [[HumansAdvanceSwiftly the humans developed these basic technologies faster than the ancient Eltarians did]].
* AGodIAmNot: [[AncientAstronauts Zordon and Alpha 5]] are [[LikeAGodToMe viewed as gods or at least messengers of them]] by the ancient humans, despite them frequently informing them that they're just [[SufficientlyAdvancedAlien Sufficiently Advanced Aliens]].
* AmphibianAtLarge: An early monster Rita sends after the Rangers is the Terror Toad, a bloated man-sized toad monster whose primary method of attack is to swallow the Rangers whole. The creature is so powerful that Zordon has to step in with his own Ranger powers since the inexperienced Rangers are unable to do any damage to it with their human-built weapons.
* AnimalThemedSuperbeing: The Rangers are based on dinosaurs, save for the Green Ranger, who has a dragon motif.
* TheArtifact: Daizyuzin, the name of the Dino Megazord's counterpart in ''Zyuranger'', is used as the name for the sentient AI system that the Dinozords share. The Dragonzord and Titanus have their own AI system known as Gouryuzin (the ''Zyuranger'' counterpart of Dragonzord Battle Mode).
* AscendedExtra: After being a AdvertisedExtra throughout ''MMPR'''s merchandise, King Sphinx is promoted to the main villain group as Goldar's personal [[TheDragon Dragon]].
* BewareMyStingerTail: Scorpina's deadliest technique is her giant form's electrocuting tail sting.
* BigCreepyCrawlies:
** Fighting Flea, a gigantic flea that can spread microscopic organisms that constantly project quiet sounds into a human's brain, driving them mad.
** The Slaying Mantis, a human-sized anthropomorphic praying mantis with martial arts skills ... [[NobleDemon and a sense of honour and pride]].
** Spiderarmic, an anthropomorphic spider with multiple limbs and the ability to spread a virus that knocks people out cold for hours at a time.
** The Weaveworm, a hulking semi-anthropomorphic yellow caterpillar with empty black eye sockets, capable of mind controlling humans via its poison.
** Stab Beetle, a naturally giant stag beetle who refers to the Giant Super Putties as [[DirtyCommies "clay comrades"]] and has pincers capable of forcibly breaking apart the Dino Megazord.
* BlingOfWar: The Dragon Shield worn by Burai and temporarily Geki. Goldar also wears golden armour, as his name suggests.
* BodyHorror:
** The battle against the Terror Toad plays up the SwallowedWhole motif for horror, with the toad himself [[BalloonBelly bloating up]] the more people he consumes, and when Mei is the only Ranger left we get a close-up shot of the people trapped inside struggling to escape, with the silhouettes of the other four Rangers and several screaming people becoming visible from within for brief moments, all the while [[KickTheDog Terror Toad describes to the terrified Mei how there is no escape and how he's going to subject her to the same fate]].
* BullyingADragon: In a moment of true stupidity, a normal-sized Goldar tries to attack the Dino Megazord, which [[CurbStompBattle promptly punches]] him into a cliffside.
* BumblingHenchmenDuo: Baboo and Squatt. Goldar and King Sphinx are also this at their most comedic.
* CanonForeigner: [[FinalBoss Bubba]], the CreepyChild nephew of Rita and the counterpart to Kai.
* DarkActionGirl: Scorpina.
* DopeSlap: Rita tends to whack her henchmen on the head with her wand whenever they fail or do something stupid.
* EveryonesBabySister: Inverted with Burai, who can be described as a CoolBigBro for the entire team.
* FullPotentialUpgrade: Mid-way through the first season, after they realise that their Blade Blasters and human-built weapons won't be enough to fight against Rita's full forces, the Rangers go on a quest to find the Power Weapons, legendary weapons that were said to have emerged from the slain body of a five headed dragon.
* GenderFlip: Boi, to ensure TwoGirlsToATeam. [[ShesAManInJapan It's pretty ironic.]]
* GentlemanAndAScholar: Zordon, as usual. Finster is also this, being a AffablyEvil individual as well as a skilled blacksmith, scholar, medic, and technician.
* {{Golem}}: The Putty Patrollers. Technically, the majority of the monsters are these, as they're clay sculptures brought to life. On occasion, when a monster is destroyed, we're shown a pile of rocks falling to the ground.
* HypocriticalHumor: Rita [[FantasticRacism despises humans, viewing them as ugly and weak]]. She also happens to be a HumanAlien.
* KamehameHadoken: Burai tends to channel his [[ShockAndAwe lightning attacks]] into energy projectiles.
* LawOfChromaticSuperiority: In addition to getting the series-standard Battlizer, Geki's Zord, the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord, is the only Zord that can perform finishing moves on giant-sized monsters by itself, since it's the only bipedal type out of the main five.
* MagicPotion: Baboo's main expertise.
* MammothsMeanIceAge: Averted. Woolly mammoths still exist in the 8th century BC ([[FreakierThanFiction they were still around until around 500 years after the]] [[UsefulNotes/AncientEgyptianHistory Great Pyramid of Giza]] [[TruthInTelevision was constructed, just in case you need more proof of how ancient that structure is]]), but dwell in a relatively multi-biome environment.
* MidSeasonUpgrade: After Burai loses his powers, Geki is transferred the Dragon Shield and the Dragon Dagger. He didn't use them very often, however, most likely due to them reminding him of his failure to save Burai's powers. It only sticks around for a season, though, since Burai later gets his powers back and is given the shield and dagger back by Geki.
* MotorMouth: Boi whenever she's nervous.
* MsFanservice: Scorpina. At least when she isn't using her [[OneWingedAngel ultimate power]].
* OurGeniesAreDifferent: The Jackal Genie, in contrast to the one-note monster from ''Mighty Morphin'''. He is a neutral individual who grants the wishes of those who possess his lamp, so long as they can be accomplished by his power (explaining why Rita couldn't ask him to release Lord Zedd).
* ReadingsAreOffTheScale: [[FinalBoss Cyclopsis]]'s CPU needs to adjust to each form the Rangers' Zords take when engaged in combat with them. Once the Rangers discover this, [[RunTheGauntlet they begin rapidly switching between Zord modes and combinations]], which overwhelms the Warzord's computer and causes it to lock up.
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: Squatt's blunderbuss, something he didn't get to use in the original ''Mighty Morphin'''.
* TomeOfEldritchLore: Subverted with the Sky Book, which is hidden in the Home Village's temple and was found alongside the meteor that was forged into the Dragon Shield. The founders of the village hid it as they feared that it contained eldritch and demonic power and spells... only for Zordon to be shown it and identify it as a book Zedd borrowed during the events of ''Ancient Guardians'' and never returned.
