Cheesecake, Jr. is a comic strip made about the exploits of a dinosaur-person and his friends and family. The series has repeatedly been on hiatus, and very few comics were made after 2012. Also, many characters have disappeared but are being planned on reappearing. The comics (which represent most of the series) and most of the books are left unpublished.

!!This Work Shows Examples of...
* ArtShift: One comic attempted an art style reminiscent of ComicStrip/Garfield.
* BlackbeadEyes: Every single character, except when the characters are surprised, angry, or staring. Even through the glasses, Bob's eyes are still dotted.
* BrandX: There's Pun Din-O's, Nacho Hut, etc.
* ByTheLightsOfTheirEyes: Happens whenever it gets dark. Oddly, the characters' dot eyes will turns into normal, circular eyes whenever it is dark.
* CaptainErsatz: Mega Guiseppi Cousins? Puh-lease!
* ComicBookTime: Averted. Cheesecake, Jr. was in eighth grade in 2010, and now he's a junior in high school. However, CJ's siblings haven't seemed to age much, so this could be some sort of double-subversion.
* CountryCousin: CJ's uncle and cousins live in the rural town of Angleton, Pennsylvania.
* DiscoDan: CJ's father Cheesecake dresses and acts like it is the 1890's. Strange, considering he's supposed to be mad scientist, but then again those were the days when H.G. Wells wrote The Time Machine, so it would actually make some sort of sense.
* DividedStatesofAmerica: In the first book (and its only published work so far), it says that Minnesota of all states seceded from the United States in WorldWarIII. Nice aversion of MinnesotaNice.
** Also in one of the unpublished books, where it is said a second CivilWar is happening.
* Expy:
** Cheesecake, Jr. is just Larry Koopa, ComicStrip/Garfield, and Calvin mixed together.
** The series is a bit like The Simpsons meets ComicStrip/Garfield meets Calvin and Hobbes meets .
* FamousAncestor: Apparently descended from a Loyalist lieutenant general during the American Revolution and a co-founder of Dinosaur City. That might explain why they are so unlucky on Independence Day.
* GeographicFlexibility : Apparently, Dinosaur City has a population of fewer than 1,000. Yet, it has a university, a mall, a nuclear power plant, and an urban downtown similar to downtown Sacramento, complete with skyscrapers.
* GenderBlenderName: Cheesecake, Jr.'s girlfriend, Jesse.
* GenerationXerox: Every two or three generations, there would be a "scientist" character in CJ's family resembling Cheesecake, Sr. This has been going on since the stone age.
* IdenticalGrandson: Again, ever since the stone age. In fact, CJ's dad and grandad looked identical at age 10, and CJ's son will look almost exactly like him. This happens every pair of generations.
* LongList: Once, CJ's birthday list went around the entire Earth four times!
* NonMammalianHair: Averted in the earlier comic strips, but ever since 2011 the characters began growing hair, and soon all the characters had some form of hair. Some even have facial hair.
** Even early comic strips had some of these, like Catherine having strands of hair on the back of her head.
* NonIndicativeName: It has nothing to do with cheesecake. This can make it extremely frustrating when trying to look it up on the internet.
* NotAllowedtoGrowUp: Mostly averted, with CJ starting out as 7 in the early comics, turning 13 in 2010, later comics having him experience high school, and now him being a young adult in college.
** However, he had stayed 7 for about two years.
** Also, his younger siblings tend to have been aging very slowly.
* StickFigureComic: Sort of. The arms and legs are drawn as lines, but you can still see their claws, and their torsoes and heads are normal. Also, whenever a character wears sleeves or pants, this is mostly averted.
* SoapOperaRapidAgingSyndrome: In 2009, Cheesecake Jr.'s age was set at seven years old. In 2010, his age was changed to thirteen.
* TwoDecadesBehind: The comic mostly seems like it takes place around 1991, and CJ has something similar to an NES and a UsefulNotes/GameBoy, as well as the hairstyles and character attitudes.
* WorldWarIII: Mentioned in the first book. It's also mentioned in one of the unpublished books.
** WorldWarWhatever: In the other future book (unpublished), World Wars IV (2400s) and VI (6000s) are mentioned. World War 6 was seemingly the "war to end all wars", and it pretty much destroyed the Earth. [=WW6=] was even referenced in the first book.
