Anjelica Huston (born July 8, 1951 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress.

With her statuesque height, angular face and piercing stare, she has carved out a niche for herself playing women who range from authoritative and only mildly intimidating, to awesome and terrifyingly evil queens and witches. She is who you call upon to play the ideal Morticia Addams, or the quintessential Evil Stepmother, or anybody with the title of Grand High Witch.

However, she can also play kind, loving characters if you let her, as Creator/WesAnderson has done with his films Film/TheRoyalTenenbaums, Film/TheLifeAquaticWithSteveZissou and Film/TheDarjeelingLimited.

She happens to be the daughter of Creator/JohnHuston and the granddaughter of Creator/WalterHuston. (And, since both of them had gotten UsefulNotes/Academy Awards, she became the third member of her family to earn one by winning Best Supporting Actress for Film/PrizzisHonor.) Her brothers are Tony Huston and Creator/DannyHuston, and her nephew is Creator/JackHuston. She dated Creator/JackNicholson from 1973 to 1989 and was married to s Robert Graham from 1992 until his death in 2008.
