5	Lee Cornes is a British stand-up comedian and actor.

7	He began stand-up comedy in 1980, often as the compere at the Comedy Store in London. In 1987, he won Best Stand-Up Comedian at the Charrington London Fringe Awards.

9	The80s also saw the beginning of his acting career, with an early role in ''Series/DoctorWho'' coming in 1982. Following this came small roles in ''Series/TheComicStripPresents'', ''Series/TheYoungOnes'', three separate series of ''Series/{{Blackadder}}'', and ''Series/FilthyRichAndCatflap''.

11	In 1987, he auditioned for the role of Rimmer in ''Series/RedDwarf'' but lost out to Creator/ChrisBarrie. Cornes [[CastTheRunnerUp was later cast as Paranoia]] in the 1988 episode "[[Recap/RedDwarfSeasonIConfidenceAndParanoia Confidence and Paranoia]]". A year later, he was providing voices for ''WesternAnimation/{{Tugs}}'', most notably the voice of Grampus, a Navy submarine.
