Roger Anthony Lloyd-Pack, (8 February 1944 -- 16 January 2014), was a British actor best known for playing Trigger in ''Series/OnlyFoolsAndHorses'' and Owen Newitt in ''Series/TheVicarOfDibley''.

After achieving A Level passes in English, French, and Latin, he trained at RADA. He later graduated in 1965 and began acting at Northampton's Royal Theatre. His stage debut came in the play ''The Shoemaker's Holiday''. When casting ''Only Fools and Horses'', the director (Ray Butt) attended a play to observe Billy Murray, who was up for the leading role of Del Boy. Lloyd-Pack caught the director's eye, and so was cast as Del's dopey mate "Trigger" (nicknamed so as he looked like a horse). Trigger was an audience favourite and appeared in 39 episodes throughout the show's run.

Later success came in The90s, when had been cast as Jake Klinger in three episodes of ''Series/TwoPointFourChildren'' and had a leading role in ''The Vicar of Dibley'' as the dirty (in both senses of the word) farmer, Owen Newitt. In 2005, he joined the ''Film/HarryPotter'' series for its fourth installment, ''Film/HarryPotterAndTheGobletOfFire'', as Barty Crouch Sr. His on-screen son was played by Creator/DavidTennant, and the two were reunited the next year when Lloyd-Pack joined him in [[Recap/DoctorWhoS28E5RiseOfTheCybermen two]] [[Recap/DoctorWhoS28E6TheAgeOfSteel episodes]] of ''Series/DoctorWho''. In 2009, he starred in ''Series/TheOldGuys'' with Creator/CliveSwift.

His daughter was the actress Emily Lloyd and he died from pancreatic cancer at the age of 69.
