Among his best known roles are the Mafia Don Corrado Prizzi in ''Film/PrizzisHonor'' (his only Oscar nomination), Uncle Lewis in ''Film/NationalLampoonsChristmasVacation'' and the voice of Dr. Finklestein in ''WesternAnimation/TheNightmareBeforeChristmas''. His filmography also includes ''Film/TheProducers'', ''Film/LittleBigMan'', ''Film/TheNameOfTheRose'', ''Film/SeaOfLove'', ''Film/MyBlueHeaven'', ''Film/PuppetMaster'', and ''Film/MouseHunt''. He made numerous guest appearances on shows such as ''Series/TalesFromTheCrypt'', ''Series/TalesFromTheDarkside'', ''Series/LALaw'', ''Series/MiamiVice'', ''Series/{{Moonlighting}}'' and ''Series/{{Wings}}'' and played Grandpa Wrigley in an episode of ''Series/TheAdventuresOfPeteAndPete''. |
