D. G. D. "The Deej" Davidson is a science fiction writer and archaeology student, as well as an avid Catholic and blogger. He currently runs the blog [[http://deusexmagicalgirl.com/ Deus Ex Magical Girl]], having previously run another blog by the name of [[http://www.scificatholic.com The Sci Fi Catholic]]. He is an afficionado of MagicalGirl anime and has reviewed numerous anime and manga works, both in the magical girl genre and outside of it.

He is currently serializing the MagicalGirl novel ''Literature/JakeAndTheDynamo'' on his blog. He is also working on a book, ''Rag & Muffin: Tales of a Fourth Grade War Goddess'', which he calls a "DungeonPunk MagicalGirl [[FilmNoir Noir]]" novel.

He is also the author of a couple of fanfics (for ''ComicBook/{{Bone}}'' and ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic''). These can be found [[http://www.fanfiction.net/~dgddavidson here]] (older, less polished ones) and [[http://www.fimfiction.net/user/D+G+D+Davidson here]].

!!Tropes found in his fan fiction work:
* DeadFic: A couple, including his oldest ''My Little Pony'' stories, ''Shadow of the Dragonlords'' and ''To Woo a Princess''--especially since they've been OutdatedByCanon (the former fic, for instance, has Shining Armor harbor a crush on Twilight Sparkle; the story was written before it was revealed that Shining was Twilight's brother.) Since he's basically left the ''My Little Pony'' fandom to focus on writing ''Rag & Muffin'', it's likely the rest of his pony fics will remain uncompleted as well.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: The titles for his fanfic stories tend to be very straightforward (with the exception of "Forever", which, conversely, is a rather trite title.) Some of them have been compared to "scandalous broadsheets" (such as "Human Shining Armor Gets Twilight Sparkle Pregnant").
* InterspeciesRomance: A couple of his stories involve this kind of romance; it never ends well. Which is in line with his philosophical views on the matter. He has dedicated a couple of blog posts to this subject, [[http://www.scificatholic.com/2007/04/vivisection-of-bone-part-1-romancing.html here]] (warning: ''ComicBook/{{Bone}}'' spoilers) and [[http://www.fimfiction.net/blog/181016/the-three-pony-romances-and-a-reflection here]] (also see his comments on another blogger's post, [[http://celticprincesblog.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-implications-of-meeting-ponies-of.html here]].) Essentially: it's fine as a traditional allegorical device, but if you literally and seriously feel attraction for a non-human creature, something's not right.
* TheVerse: The "Chronoverse", a setting he's developed for his ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' fanfiction.
