!!!Portrayed by: Masanori Machida (live), Yasuhiro Takeuchi (stunt double as Asahi G)

A retired pro masked wrestler who used to fight under the name "Sunshine Mask" and now manages a wrestling gym targeted by the Yakuza. He forms a bond with the Chemy Wrestler G after it appears to him while possessing a wrestler action figure.
----
* BoisterousBruiser: He's loud, cheerful, and was quite a wrestler in his day, but his body can't handle the strenuous demands of the ring anymore. That being said, when we first meet him he comes barreling out of his office with a stick thinking the alchemy kids were Yakuza and was ready to throw hands for his gym. After he fuses with Wrestler G he becomes Asahi G, which endows him with great physical power and returns him to his prime physique.
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: Not only is he as macho as a wrestler can get, but he cares deeply about the well-being of others.
* ColorMotifs: Red and yellow, which reflect his cosmic motif being the sun. Both of these colors are seen in his mask and logo of his gym.
* CoolMask: He had a gold-and-red sparkling wrestling mask as Sunshine Mask. He wears a teal and red one as Asahi G.
* CoolOldGuy: He's a retired wrestler who dreams of training the next generation of young wrestlers and is a pretty chill broski to boot.
* CosmicMotifs: The sun. His wrestler name was Sunshine Mask, and the logo of his wrestling gym has a sun. It represents how he wishes to burn bright and shine a light towards the next generation.
* ShooTheDog: Does this towards Wrestler G by telling it that it belongs to Hotaro now, knowing that he's going to have his memories erased and so long as the Chemy is with him, the Dark Sisters will always go after him.
* SymbioticPossession: He's the first human on-screen to be possessed by a Chemy, and the first to fuse with a Chemy without turning into a Malgam -- in this case, Asahi G, a muscular wrestler with Wrestler G's mask.
* TryingNotToCry: As he tells Wrestler G to stay with Hotaro, he's shown looking ready to burst into tears as he walks into his gym.
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: He's a retired masked wrestler who now manages a wrestling gym. Thanks to the help of Wrestler G, he also becomes Asahi G.

!!!Portrayed by: Minato Shogaki

A young boy who formed a bond with the Chemy Saboneedle.
----
* Foil: To Rinne. Both are brainy students who put socializing into their backburner and are a bit cold to Hotaro at first before warming up to him. Both also have daddy issues, but the latter is where they contrast. Rinne is separated from her father, with her misjudging his actions of freeing Chemies due to it conflicting with her view, while Riku has his father being a helicopter parent, of which he opposes his father putting pressure on him particularly after befriending a Chemy.
* Foreshadowing: Replace him and Saboneedle with Hotaro and [=Hopper1=] and you essentially get TheReveal of Episodes 14 and 18.
* IntelligenceEqualsIsolation: His intellect led his father to put him under a rigorous educational regimen, leaving him with no time to socialize. Finding Saboneedle allowed him to finally make a friend.
* MirrorCharacter:
** To Hotaro, obviously. Hotaro is a BookDumb high school student, Riku is a Year 5 student currently studying high school level Geometry. They both bond with an adorable green Chemy, [=Hopper1=] for Hotaro and Saboneedle for Riku as well. Their home lives are polar opposites as well: Hotaro's dad left them one day while his mom is loving and supportive of his "Gotcha". Meanwhile, Riku's mom is nowhere to be seen and his father is strict, abusive, and turns into a monster just because Riku found a buddy.
** To Koichiro Asahi as well. Again, both Riku and Koichiro befriended a green colored Chemy but were forced to say farewell to them. Unfortunately, Asahi was not allowed to keep any souvenirs from Werestler G, while Riku obtained one of Saboneedle's flowers. Asahi was a retired wrestler hoping to rebuild his dream, Riku was a lonely boy who only wanted a friend.
* MissingMom: It's mentioned that his father Kenji is the only family he has.
* PlotParallel: The ending of #8 is essentially foreshadowing about Hotaro's past a few episodes later.

!!!Portrayed by: Ayane Kinoshita (live), Shinsuke Kusano (suit)

A cast member of the Toei Studio Park in Kyoto, and Kajiki's love interest. She later becomes the second Battery Malgam.
----
* AlliterativeName: Hijiri Himeno.
* BirdsOfAFeather: Bonds with Ryo because they're both into supernatural phenomena and even posted letters to the same magazine.
* BreakTheCutie: She does not take the news of her brother wanting to kill her lightly.
* FemalesAreMoreInnocent: Compared to the previous Malgams, she only turned into one out of despair in learning of her brother's crimes and never had any lingering malice prior.
* TheGhost: Referenced in #11 by Kajiki who hopes to tell her about UFO-X passing by.
* PayEvilUntoEvil: After seeing her own brother just attempt to kill her, she decides to return the favor.
* SuperiorSuccessor: She appears to utilize the Battery Malgam's abilities better than Tsurugi; while he only displayed paralyzing his foes and firing electricity from his hands, Hijiri manages to create multiple orbs of electricity that fire lightning bolts.
* TokenGoodTeammate: While not exactly a "team", by any means, Hijiri is by far the nicest of the Malgam Hosts to ever show up in the first arc, as while most of them are complete HateSink[=s=], her NiceGirl nature and BreakTheCutie moments completely draw in much more sympathy than the others could ever hope to acquire.

!!!Portrayed by: Kaho Yamamoto

A girl searching for her father Yuzuru after he disappeared while looking for dinosaurs.
----
* BrokenPedestal: She's understandably disappointed when she finds her father begging to do anything to keep his job to the point of giving up on his dream. Thankfully, after Yuzuru encounters X-Rex and the two have a heart-to-heart, Sawa's respect for her father returns.
* DaddysGirl: She's very close to her father to the point where she wants to help him look for dinosaurs for his stories.

!!!Portrayed by: Tomoya Shiraishi

Sawa's father, a freelance writer and photographer whose dream is to write about dinosaurs surviving into the present day.
----
* AintTooProudToBeg: He grovels twice within the story. First is in a flashback where he begs to keep his job with his current magazine to the point where he'd give up writing about dinosaurs. The second time is when Lachesis threatens Sawa, offering to give himself up just to make sure his daughter isn't hurt.
* ParentsAsPeople: Yuzuru is torn between trying to achieve his dream of encountering a dinosaur in the wild and putting food on the table. Sawa inadvertently finding him while he attempted to sacrifice his dream for financial stability soured her opinion on him, though it's easily rectified.
* SwallowedWhole: He gets swallowed up by X-Rex. Fortunately, all it does is strand him in X-Rex's pocket dimension, where the Chemy reads his memories and allows Yuzuru to come to terms with himself.

!!!Portrayed by: Aya Kitai

A young woman who became Zukyumpire's first follower after he helps her get over a breakup.
----
* AlliterativeName: Yua Yamashita.
* ChekhovsGun: She was the one who was about to collapse in #22 with Zyukumpire showing concern for her.
* FlowersOfRomance: Downplayed. Zukyumpire hands her a small yellow flower as a way to cheer her up but there's no romantic connotations between them.
* GrewASpine: Her time with Zukyumpire helps her stand up against her ex-boyfriend who dumped her.
* MirrorCharacter: To Koichiro Asahi. Both unwittingly end up bonding with a Chemy -- Wrestler G for Asahi, Zukyumpire for her -- as they helped them in the lowest parts of their lives. Asahi was broken from losing prospective students to his wrestling school, Yua was saddened after breaking up with her boyfriend. They were also inspired thanks to their brief interactions with the Chemies as Asahi finds hope to pursue his dream while Yua found the courage to find her own happiness. Asahi gets to fuse with Wrestler G, whereas Yua doesn't. Last, Asahi was forced to have his memories erased but Yua gets to keep hers.
* NeverBeHurtAgain: She falls for Zukyumpire after he helps her get over her breakup with an abusive boyfriend. After she helps Zukyumpire realize the error of his ways, she takes the lessons to her heart, choosing to reject her ex's overture to rekindle their relationship, finding her own happiness in her own way.
* TragicKeepsake: She has a bookmark with a bright yellow flower, similar to the one Zyukumpire gave her.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: The fact that the first person Zukyumpire encounters is a young woman fresh off of a bad breakup, who even tells him that he has the power to "save the world" by making her smile with a Zukyun, means that Zukyun decides to help her out by giving everyone in the world love, even if it comes at the cost of the LifeEnergy of his followers. She realizes her mistake when told about it, but didn't have the heart to tell him because he was so happy.
* WomanScorned: She becomes Zukyumpire's first follower after he helps her deal with a bad breakup.

!!!Portrayed by: Toshie Negishi

Renge's maternal grandmother who resides in the village of Kokonotsu.
----
* AmbiguousSituation: How much did she recall about Renge using the Cosmic Chemies? On one hand, the Alchemist' Academy could've wiped her memories off-screen. On the other, given that Renge was wearing Starshine's "necklace" which contained the Cosmic Chemies, she might've assumed Renge was using some sort of banishing ritual on a youkai who was actually the local deity she worshipped..
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Her reaction to Renge visiting her is to swat away a mosquito and to insist on carrying her granddaughter around, showing how much she dotes on Renge.
* MamaBear: Instantly leaps to her granddaughter's defense at the first sign of danger, be it from suspicious strangers or Malgam.
* StrongerThanTheyLook: She's strong enough to give Renge a piggyback ride and help carry her stuff all the way from the shrine to her home without breaking a sweat, despite being a seemingly ordinary senior citizen.

!!!Portrayed by: Takaya Aoyagi

A self-proclaimed "Yokai Hunter" from Kokonotsu.
----
* ActorAllusion: When Starshine does his yokai-repelling rituals, a couple of Cosmic Chemies show up from his beads. Starshine's actor has plenty of experience with cosmic beings, including the space-based Ultramen, being a regular in both Series/UltramanOrb and Series/UltramanZ.
* TheCuckoolanderWasRight: Whatever his premonition was supposed to be, it ended up referring to a hidden hot spring that the fox spirit wanted to use the Cosmic Chemies' power for in order to save the village.
* IneptMage: He is legitimately spiritually attuned, helped by the fact that magic exists in the setting to some degree, but he's incredibly lazy, and unable to endure even the most basic forms of monk training such as mild fasting. Even when aided by the Cosmic Chemies, creating very weak fireballs and obnoxiously glitzy light shows (which have a tendency to blind him) is the most he can do with these extremely powerful alchemic beings.
* NaturalElements: Whenever he uses his powers, he invokes four of the five elements in Eastern tradition (water, earth, metal, and wood). When Firemars later joins him he gains the ability to invoke all five of them.
* SheepInSheepsClothing: Due to the fact that his "powers" are from using Chemies, and he comes to Renge's village around the same time that it's being harassed by land sharks, it's easy for viewers to believe that he's scamming the people in it for the crooks. This isn't helped by Kajiki loudly pointing that out as the Kyubi Malgam's attacks are causing growing unrest among the populace. However, when he becomes a victim of the same, it transpires that Hoshino is a genuinely well-meaning, if buffoonish, mystic. Notably, despite being lavished with praise for chasing away supposed yokai (actually a pair of Chemies), he's rather humble about it, and encourages the villagers to pay homage to their local fox deity as well.

!!!Portrayed by: Kanon Matsuzawa\
Young Seina portrayed by: Yuzu Yumoto

A new transfer student to Furasu High, and Houtaro's childhood friend.
----
* BettyAndVeronica: The Betty to Rinne's Veronica, as the childhood friend to Houtaro.
* ChildhoodFriendRomance: Seina is clearly pursuing this with Houtaro, complete with her reminding him of their ChildhoodMarriagePromise and her insistence of playing the Juliet to Houtaro's Romeo. When they're first reunited, she even calls it fate. This is also the reason why she's very jealous of Rinne. In the end however, the trope is subverted at the end of episode 31, with Seina ceding the Juliet role to Rinne, and it's also implied that she gives up on pursuing Houtaro altogether.
* ChildhoodFriends: With Houtaro, even promising that she'd marry him one day.
* ChildhoodMarriagePromise: Seina recalls that Tamami promised Seina to be Houtaro's betrothed as a child. Houtaro quickly dismisses this, saying that they were still just children back then.
* ClingyJealousGirl: She's very affectionate towards Houtaro, frowning when she sees him and Rinne together and showing up at rather convenient times.
* Foil: Aside from the obvious alchemist elements, there are several differences between Seina and Rinne; Seina had known Hotaro as a child and is much friendlier with him on the outset upon seeing him again. By contrast, Rinne didn't bother getting to know Houtaro until much later in his life and still retains some form of snark around him.
* HumanPopsicle: She gets frozen by the Mammoth Malgam after Atropos catches her fleeing away from it, binding her in chains to allow the Malgam to freeze her. She gets thawed out by Rinne using The Sun and makes a full recovery.
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: She chooses to give up her role as Juliet to Rinne (after Rinne initially subs in for the role while Seina recovered) after seeing the chemistry Rinne has built with Houtaro. It's hinted that she also gives up pursuing him altogether.
* MeaningfulName: Her surname is spelled with the characters for "ninety-nine" (九十九), emphasizing her being Rinne's foil (as Rinne's last name is written with the character for "nine") and how she's known Hotaro for much longer.
