!!'''Monkey D. Luffy'''
--> Series: ''Manga/OnePiece''
--> Voiced by: Creator/MayumiTanaka

With the stretchy powers of the Gum-Gum Fruit, Luffy tries to reach his dream of becoming King of the Pirates!
-----
* BigEater: Much of his drive comes from wanting to eat.
* CursedWithAwesome: The Devil Fruit powers, which take away their user's ability to be able to act while submerged in water. In this game's case, being underwater in stages such as Planet Namek will render Luffy to be unable to stamina charge or recover his stamina naturally.
* DifficultButAwesome:
** In Luffy's case, while he has lots of damage, his stamina usage is on an extreme level (can gain it up to fully instantly but not past 100%, and can use up quite a bit of it for his specials). Thus, learning to manage his resources is key to unleashing his maximum potential.
** His weak attack string finisher (the forward jump push kick) can also be cancelled into an automatic forward-step (by flicking forward) that can also cancel into its own unique string, though trying to fit other moves into it can prove a bit hard if you're not accustomed to it.
* KiManipulation: Uses the Haki to power up his attacks. He'll instantly transition into this form for more damage when he further powers up his attacks during his Gear Second state.
* LightningBruiser: His attacks come out pretty fast, and he also hits like a truck.
* ManChild: He's quite simple in his mindset outside of a serious fight.
* PlayingWithFire: His Gum-Gum Red Hawk (actually having its kanji read literally as "Fire Pistol"), where he uses his Haki to cause an ignition on his fist for a fiery-stretch punch. This is done by charging up his Gum-Gum Rifle while he's already boosted up by his Haki.
* PowerPalms: His forward+circle special, Gum-Gum Bazooka (done with both palms horizontal of each other). Can be charged up via having Luffy always staying stationary before boosting forward with the Jet version, or can have him run up to his foe via holding down both the dash and guard button during the animation. Also done during the finisher of his Gum-Gum Gatling, as mentioned above in the same manner.
* RapidFireFisticuffs: His signature Gum-Gum Gatling (the kanji being literally read as "Gun Battering"), done with neutral circle. Should one [[ButtonMashing button mash it]] more, he'll instantly transition into Gear Second's Jet Gatling, and end it with a pseudo-Jet Bazooka (he actually yells "CANNON!"). Doing this again while already in Gear Second will make the final Gum-Gum Cannon get laced in Haki instead. In the air, it turns into Gum-Gum Stamp Gatling instead, done with his feet diagonally to the ground for a bit with the same effects as the ground version (and ends with his normal weak-to-strong finisher or strong chain finiser, which is likely his Gum-Gum Axe).
* RubberMan: Luffy's Gum-Gum Devil Fruit ability allows him to stretch himself, which he incorporates into his fighting style.
* ShounenHair: Downplayed. While it is spiky, it's a rather generic design.
* SignatureHeadgear: His greatest treasure is his straw hat, given to him by his father-figure, the Red-Haired Pirate Shanks. [[spoiler:Said hat also used to belong to Shanks' former captain, Gold Roger]].
* SuperMode: Actually has this in layers:
** Whenever he charges up his stamina gauge, he never enters a stamina charge animation. He always activates Gear Second and instantly fills it up fully to 100% (but at a cost, it can't be used in close succession and his gauge CANNOT exceed that said 100% stamina). Gear Second also automatically activates whenever he adds more button taps to his Gatling (to turn it into Gum-Gum Jet Gatling) or charges up his Gum-Gum Rifle (turning it into Gum-Gum Jet Rifle).
*** After that, if he does the same thing with his Gum-Gum Gatling Gun and Rifle while in Gear Second before it wears off, he can gain another boost in power by covering himself in Haki (which makes his attacks reduce more stamina on block and makes him have a guard animation while dashing). He does so by changing his Gatling Gun into a Haki-laced Gum-Gum Cannon, or charging up his Gum-Gum Jet Rifle into a Gum-Gum Elephant Gun. This state will also eventually wear off as well overtime, as well as whenever he runs out of stamina.
* ThisIsADrill: His Gum-Gum Rifle (literally read as "Rotating Bullet" with its kanji), where he screws his fist as he stretches it back for a powerful drilling punch that's also unblockable. This is his R1+Circle, which can be charged up to make him enter Gear Second for Jet Rifle, then Haki mode for Elephant Gun or Red Hawk in that respective order of continuous usage.
* WorthyOpponent: In the game, he's Toriko's.

!!'''Portgas D. Ace'''
--> Series: ''Manga/OnePiece''
--> Voiced by: Creator/ToshioFurukawa

Luffy's older blood brother with the powers of the Flare Flare Fruit, and the commander of Captain Whitebeard's 2nd squad!

[[spoiler:He is also the son of Gol D. Roger AKA Gold Roger.]]
----
* CloseRangeCombatant: While he lacks some utility, Ace is a very powerful close-range fighter with a ton of flashy combos; he even has a powerful loop that can be done four times in a row for a lot of overall damage so long as he has enough stamina and/or doesn't get hindered by any nearby walls.
* CursedWithAwesome: The Devil Fruit powers, which take away their user's ability to be able to act while submerged in water. In this game's case, being underwater in stages such as Planet Namek will render Ace to be unable to stamina charge or recover his stamina naturally.
* ElementalPunch: His signature Hiken (Fire Fist), which also makes up his epithet of "Fire-Fist Ace". This is forward+circle special, and it can home in on opponents quite well (but doesn't have a range that one expects to be good as a trade-off). Also shows traces of this in his basic combos and other moves.
* FingerGun: His Higan (Fire Gun) neutral circle special, which can chain into Hiken with enough stamina.
* PillarOfLight: His Hibashira (Fire Pillar), first prepped up by his Enkai via R1+Circle (Flame Commandment; which is also used as his Just Guard). It can't be used from his Just Guard version however, and must only be used from his R1+Circle.
* PlayingWithFire: He ate a Logia type Devil Fruit, the Mera Mera Fruit (Flare Flare Fruit).
* SphereOfDestruction: His LimitBreak, Dai Enkai: Entei (Great Flame Commandment: Flame Emperor).

!!'''Seiya'''
--> Series: ''Manga/SaintSeiya''
--> Voiced by: Creator/MasakazuMorita

The Pegasus zodiac knight who searches for his dear sister, together with his friends Seiya fights to protect the life and cosmos alike!
----
* LastChanceHitPoint: If he would be the last KO in a match, he'll instead get up with 20% of his HP restored. However, this can only happen once per match.
* NoArcInArchery: In his Limit Break, Arrow of Sagittarius.
* {{Pegasus}}: His guiding constellation and Cloth.
* PowerGivesYouWings: The Sagittarius Cloth has wings.
* RapidFireFisticuffs: His Pegasus Ryuusei Ken (Pegasus Meteor Fist), to the point where it fires [[BeamSpam visible light blasts in a spread]] and can be [[ButtonMashing button mashed]] for a few more hits.
** DashAttack: Has a more condensed version as a single-shot projectile called the Pegasus Suisei Ken (Pegasus Comet Fist).
* SpinningPiledriver: His [[GrappleMove Pegasus Rolling Crush]], which is another guard-bypassing-option aside from his default Guard Break. However, Seiya is completely vulnerable to other outside forces that can hit him out of the attack.
* SuperMode: Whenever he stamina charges enough, he'll eventually activate his Seventh Sense mode for a set duration, which enhances his special moves (such as allowing his aforementioned Pegasus Ryuusei Ken to be button mashed for more than it usually can be done for).
** GoldenSuperMode: He eventually dons the Sagittarius Gold Cloth during a Victory Burst, which is needed for his Limit Break and also gives him free Seventh Sense mode for its whole duration.
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: Again, as mentioned above with his Pegasus Rolling Crush.

[[folder:Team Naruto]]

!!'''Naruto Uzumaki'''
--> Series: ''[[Manga/{{Naruto}} Naruto]]''
--> Voiced by: Creator/JunkoTakeuchi

Naruto, with the great stamina of a ninja, strives to become his town's Hokage!
----
* BoisterousBruiser: In comparison to most ninja, Naruto's fighting style has always been of the "powerhouse" type. Contrary to this however, Naruto doesn't hit that hard in his base form, and has to rely on his Sage Mode and/or Shadow Clone Jutsu to somewhat out-gimmick his opponent(s).
* DoppelgangerAttack: His signature Shadow Clone Jutsu. Either in a number of his normal moves or done as his forward+circle. However, using one other Shadow Clone-based move will cancel out the other one, so they can't stack on each other willy-nilly. Often used for misdirection and/or to zone his opponent for the special move-based version.
* GoldenSuperMode: He has access to the Nine-Tailed Fox's chakra, but he can only access it during Victory Burst.
* HighlyVisibleNinja: He wears a bright orange outfit!
* PowerPalms: His [[BlowYouAway Rasengan]] ([[SphereOfDestruction Spiraling Sphere]]) and its many variations, which can also be [[ChargedAttack charged up]] to become the Futon: Rasen Shuriken (Wind Release: Spiraling Shuriken). The auto-combo version of it can even suck in targets off the ground into it.
* ShounenHair: His hair is really spiky.
* SphereOfDestruction: His Bijuu Dama (Tailed-Beast Orb) LimitBreak.
* SuperMode: His Sage Mode is the normal version that only lasts a set amount of time, and can mainly be done outside of Victory Burst. The main gimmick of this is to enhance his weak and strong attack strings.
** It also changes his Rasen Shuriken to be be able to be thrown forward, via charging it up and pressing the strong attack button during it (triangle). However, he's largely quite open when doing so.
* WorthyOpponent: Ichigo's.

!!'''Yuusuke Urameshi'''
-->Series: ''Manga/YuYuHakusho''
--> Voiced by: Creator/NozomuSasaki

A young boy who once died to save a child from a car. After being resurrected, he works as a Spirit Detective for the rulers of the Spirit World!
----
* ByronicHero: Somewhat. He's still someone who'd do a lot of good no matter what though, and has a massive soft-spot for children.
* BerserkButton: Don't make fun of his pompadour hairstyle (or endanger children). Bobobo should know the former by now.
* ChargedAttack: His primary gimmick; his main special moves can all be charged up, and he relies on being able to fight up-close with his combos and/or from afar with his Spirit Gun. However, he possesses a Spirit stamina bar that makes his stamina very slow on manual charge compared to passive charging, and he tends to have his attacks be quite committal.
* CrackingUp: His taunt is cracking his knuckles.
* ElementalPunch: His Reikoudan (Spirit Light Bullet) AKA Spirit Wave, done by inputting circle once more during his Shotgun, which has more narrow range but packs more of a punch.
* FingerGun: His Reigan (Spirit Gun). Unlike the ''VideoGame/JumpSuperStars'' series, he can freely move while using it via a [[UnnecessaryCombatRoll dodge-rolling]] shot (which is why he doesn't have a normal forward+circle special). It can approach SpamAttack levels! He can of course, [[ChargedAttack charge it up for more damage]], but it takes a rather long while though he can also walk during it (again, which is why he doesn't have a forward+circle special).
** He even can use it during his midair recovery, hence why it's also one of the slowest ones in the game where he flips stationary in midair instead of instantly achieving falling speed.
* JapaneseDelinquent: During his previous life before he sacrificed his own life [[FriendToAllChildren to save a child]] from a car crash.
* OnlySaneMan: He's the only one hesitant on adding Hinata to their party since the latter is an OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent whose only special skill involves volleyball.
* RapidFireFisticuffs: Some of his standard attacks within his combo strings, seemingly based on the ones he used during his fight against Toguro.
** KickThemWhileTheyreDown: His Guard Break, which is a solid anti-air where Yuusuke dives at his opponent in a leap to [[GrappleMove grab-shove]] them to the ground, then wails away at them in the above manner. Can also be done in midair as just a simple triangle/strong attack input, but still costs 10% stamina like any other Guard Break.
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: His Spirit Shotgun, which acts as his R1+Circle special. Can be [[ChargedAttack charged up]] with enough stamina to turn it into a Reikoudan (Spirit Light Bullet) instead, which is an unblockable upward punch that launches a bit for 2 hits (but the second hit can miss on downed targets).
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: His name can be written as "Yusuke", "Yuusuke" or "Yūsuke". Also note despite the original English dub of his home anime, it should be stressed that his last name is pronounced "Uu-rah-meh-shee".
* SphereOfDestruction: His LimitBreak, Kyokudai Reigan (Maximum Spirit Gun), and for his charged normal Reigan. [[BilingualBonus The kanji for "gan" in his Reigan in general also literally translates to "round", or as well as the way it's said in Japanese sounding like "ray gun".]]
* SuperMode: His Mazoku form. Interestingly, it seems to be activated when Yusuke is knocked down during his Victory Burst. However, Yusuke will instantly get K.O.ed for a free notch to his opposition's victory gauge if Victory Burst ends.
* UseYourHead: Yusuke's well known trait is that his headbutts are quite brutal. He uses them as one of his combo finishers (weak-to-strong string).

!!'''Gon Freecss'''
--> Series: ''Manga/HunterXHunter''
--> Voiced by: Creator/MegumiHan

A young Hunter whose goal is finding his father Ging, a legendary Hunter who left his son for his work!
----
* AnimeHair: His hair is bunched upward in a wad of spikes.
%%* BadassAdorable
* CheerfulChild: What he mainly shows on the outside.
* CloseRangeCombatant[=/=]MightyGlacier: Gon in this game sadly, tends to be severely lacking in both a ranged and approach game (his Jajanken Paa/Paper really doesn't cut it). However, a good Gon player will get to work as a serious threat if he manages to get in close with a ton of damage (can be taken further to 100% damage combos with the proper assist(s) used).
* DishingOutDirt: Flips a stone slab forward to flatten foes with for his R1 + Square area attack; sadly, continuously rushing into Gon to push him away from the slab's hitbox leaves him rather vulnerable.
* GetOverHere: Uses his fishing pole as his Guard Break, which can even combo into his LimitBreak timed and distanced correctly.
* MegatonPunch: '''GUU!''' ('''ROCK!''') Done either as one of the endings to his neutral circle, or used as his LimitBreak where he punts up his foe into the air to charge it up as they fall.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: His Nen type is enhancement, which is seen in two of his special moves. [[GlassCannon Kou (Hardness) increases his attack power in exchange for durability]], while [[StoneWall Ken (Strict/Strictness) gives him increased defense with more stamina costs on his moves]]. However, the two cannot overlap with each other, so it's one or the other.
* PowerPalms: One of his combo finishers.
* RockPaperScissors: His Hatsu allows him to use attacks based of the game rock-paper-scissors via his Jajanken (Jajan Fist); this is his neutral circle special, where:
** MegatonPunch: Again, as mentioned above via his Guu (Rock). Done by using circle, and is also completely [[UnblockableAttack unblockable]] with the non-auto combo version dealing a legitimate crazy chunk of damage.
** LaserBlade: Chii (Scissors), where he puts his hands together and slashes with his index fingers. Done with triangle, and acts as his main area-of-effect attack.
** KamehameHadoken [[PowerPalms Power Palm]]: Paa (Paper), done with Square. Fires a projectile blast from his palm as a projectile. Hilariously enough, [[FriendlyFireproof despite doing no damage it can hit any allies in the way via the explosion]].
*** ConfusionFu: He can even sidestep during the charging period or even cancel it, granting him some solid mixup options.
* TokenMiniMoe: Is the youngest playable character alongside Killua.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Team Ichigo]]

!!'''Ichigo Kurosaki'''
--> Series: ''[[Manga/{{Bleach}} Bleach]]''
--> Voiced by: Creator/MasakazuMorita

After gaining the Zanpakuto, he learned the power of the Shinigami (Death Gods) to protect his friends and family!
----
* AnimeHair: Spiky orange hair.
* BadassLongcoat: Starts out in his Bankai as opposed to his Shikai.
* BlackSwordsAreBetter: His Bankai, ''Tensa Zengetsu (Heaven Chain Slaying Moon)''.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Especially with his Hollow Mask.
* DeathOrGloryAttack: [[LimitBreak Saigo no Getsuga Tenshou: Mugetsu (The Last Moon Fang Heaven Piercer: Moonless)]]. [[spoiler:While it's a one-hit K.O. for any target hit by it, it K.Os Ichigo himself once he unleashes it.]]
* FlashStep: His specialty; Ichigo can cancel certain inputs of his attack strings into his sidestep (such as his weak-strong and midair strong first input), which can easily allow for very creative combo extensions [[DifficultButAwesome provide he has enough stamina and if the player's execution is on point]].
* {{Shoryuken}}: His Kogetsuzan (Arc Moon Slash) special, ReverseGrip version. Can also followup with his midair strong attack for an air combo.
* SpamAttack SpeedBlitz: His Tenshou Ranbu (Heaven Piercing Wild Dance) special has him teleport and either launch his target (grounded version) or stab at his opponent (midair version), and slash at them from a few directions followed by a wild assault from all around them rapidly. Has a wild {{kiai}} to top it off.
* SuperMode: He's already using his Bankai at the start. His Hollow Mask (which is a temporary power up done at any point upon stamina charging long enough) and his Last Getsuga Tenshou (only used for his LimitBreak) are his Super Modes in this game.
* SwordBeam: His signature Getsuga Tenshou (Moon Fang Heaven Piercer). [[BeamSpam Can also spam it for a barrage of projectiles as per what Ichigo can normally do with it in his Bankai]] (but only with his Hollow Mask on).
%%* WorthyOpponent: In the game, he's Naruto's.%%ZCE; how?

!!'''Tatsumi Oga (with Baby Beel)'''
--> Series: ''Manga/{{Beelzebub}}''
--> Voiced by: Creator/KatsuyukiKonishi (Oga) and Creator/MiyukiSawashiro (Beel)

A violent and selfish delinquent, now tasked with caring for the Demon Lord's infant son!
----
* BadassAndChildDuo: Beel actually empowers Oga.
* JapaneseDelinquent: More or less, one of ''Jump'''s most famous delinquents.
* MenDontCry: More or less his quote in the 7th trailer.
--> '''Oga''': Real men don't cry! They'll underestimate you otherwise!
--> '''Baby Beel''': Da!
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: Averted. It's hard to tell, but Beel is wearing a diaper.
** However, in his home series, Beel is pretty much constantly naked. To quote Oga, [[RuleOfFunny "It's just how he rolls."]]
* NoMouth: Baby Beel's mouth is always covered by his pacifier.
* ShockAndAwe: Baby Beel becomes electrified when he cries, so Oga uses this to his advantage by throwing him at his opponents, or as a [[CounterAttack counter attack]].
* PapaWolf:
--> '''Oga''': I'm protecting him as a man! But I have to fight as a true man!!
* SuperMode[=/=]FusionDance: Super Milk Time. Oga drinks some special milk made for Beel which causes their bodies to unite.
** PowerDyesYourHair: His hair becomes green like Beel's.
** PowerGivesYouWings

!!'''Hiei'''
--> Series: ''Manga/YuYuHakusho''
--> Voiced by: Creator/NobuyukiHiyama

A demon of the Makai who's mastery of sword and fist alike earned him a violent reputation, but he's now one of the Spirit Detective's trusting allies with a solid hidden resolve!
----
* DeathOfAThousandCuts: His [[SpeedBlitz Kousoku Giri (High-Speed Cutter)]] special (forward + circle), where he dashes forward in iconic fashion, to cut his opponent up with 16 slashes as he did with Seiryuu in his home series (save for the auto-combo version which does a total of 8 hits instead). However, he's not invincible during this, meaning he can easily dive into attacks on accident while also being easy to punish if it's blocked and/or it misses.
* FlashStep: A ton of his moves and his main specialty (his jumping strong attack and his aforementioned forward + circle). His Just/Perfect Guard is also this, and he outright states that it's an afterimage in his quote.
** Also has one for his midair strong attack, and is one of the few characters with one of those types of attacks.
* FlamingSword: His Jaou Ensatsu Ken (Wicked King Immolation Sword) AKA Sword of Darkness Flame has quite a bit of reach with said flame on it.
** A majority of his stronger sword-based moves, despite not being as visible on the sword itself (such as his R1+Square ranged/area attack and his R1+Triangle Guard Break attack) involves his connecting target to be set on fire, only the fire is pure black. Slight traces of darkness can be slightly seen on Hiei's katana amongst the visible air-cuts, but some moves like his aforementioned Kousoku Giri don't actually produce the effect (but it will have a TechnicolorFire effect explained below).
*** This also works as a mechanic. By using his special stamina action that reveals his Jagan (R1 + X), performing his Jaou Ensatsu Ken (neutral circle) or absorbing the dragon from his LimitBreak, only then he is able to stamina charge normally for a while. But of course [[ButWaitTheresMore not only that]], he is able to have an overall damage boost with more range on all of his sword-based moves by powering them up with his demonic fire. Not to mention he can also lower his opponents' stamina bars on blocked-hit by a larger amount than usual. Needless to say, it will soon wear off in all of those cases.
* FragileSpeedster[=/=]GlassCannon: He's pretty fast and has ton of agile moves with solid offense, but he's not that strong unless you're able to make good use of his power up states and/or his extended combos. He also often has trouble with stamina since he charges it quite slowly, even though regenerating it up to 100% by revealing his Jagan Eye is simple enough.
* MasterSwordsman: Despite being mostly a hand-to-hand-based fighter and a very solid one in his home series, Hiei's liking for swordsmanship is no slouch at all, as he occasionally draws it out in several of his moves.
* MercyInvincibility: Hiei actually has a personal one whenever he's knocked down without being able to recover/tech on time. Just like in his home series, his state where he is powered up from the absorbed fire dragon from his ultimate will eventually leave Hiei too tired to be able to stand up and will force him to hibernate for a while (but ONLY if there's enough time for the Victory Burst left if Hiei managed to absorb the dragon prior). During this, Hiei while being a sitting duck, CANNOT be hit by anything until he manages to get back up.
** However, he'll also enter this hibernation state for his K.O. animation if he's of course, K.O.ed during this power up state before his Victory Burst ends.
* NobleDemon: Literally. He despite his brutality still has his own rules and his more soft side deep down.
* PlayingWithFire: Hiei's a fire demon. He can use both normal and demon fire, but the former isn't used in this game.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: He's a bit short for his size in comparison to others. But boy, ever since being on Yuusuke's side, can he smack someone around as well as slice them up with style. Should we also mention his control over fire?
** His size is apparent in that during Hiei's basic weak attack string, he mostly for the first two inputs, leaps at his opponent somewhat just to wail at them (this pseudo-airborne state is what causes him to move VERY far forward when attacking like so).
* RapidFireFisticuffs: His Jaou Ensatsu Rengoku Shou (Wicked King Immolation Purgatory Scorch) AKA Fists of Mortal Flame. Done as his R1 + Circle.
** ButtonMashing: Unlike most examples, this move heavily averts this trope; the full series of hits automatically occur when any of the initial hits connect.
*** LauncherMove: This move is also his only Tag Team Launcher via the finishing {{Shoryuken}} portion.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: This is barring his Jagan however, which is a blue eye instead.
* SpinAttack: His R1+Square ranged/area attack.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: Quite the cold and brutal guy on the outside, but has his intentions and a soft spot for others on the inside.
* SuperMode: When Hiei can absorb the black dragon from his Kokuryuuha, he can enter a stronger version of his usual powered up state as mentioned above. Like most Super Modes, this can only be done during his Victory Burst (since all [[LimitBreak Limit Breaks]] can only be done from there anyways).
** The slight deviation from the rest of the examples here is that Hiei's Super Mode can ''only be accessed during his Limit Break'', and is not usually the other way around.
* TechnicolorFire: His Jaou Ensatsu Ken by default and the rest of his katana-based moves when powered-up by his special stamina action and his neutral circle are greenish black.
** However, his aforementioned Rengoku Shou is a bit more purple-black, while Kokuryuuha instead is pure black with some small shades of purple when he absorbs it.
* ThirdEye: His Jagan (Wicked Eye). He can even remove the bandage covering it to power himself up briefly via his stamina charge action as mentioned above (and it gives him a small stamina boost). Also revealed when he absorbs his Kokuryuuha.
* TrashTalk: With Sasuke.
-->'''Hiei''': Can you see that? Way different from your little sparks. These are the flames of a demon. Don't underestimate the power of the Jagan Eye!
-->'''Sasuke''': Compared to my Sharingan, your Jagan Eye is useless.

!!'''Toriko'''
--> Series: ''Manga/{{Toriko}}''
--> Voiced by: Creator/RyotaroOkiayu

----
* BareFistedMonk: Fights with a solid hand-to-hand fighting style.
* BigEater: Shown even in his stamina charge, where he simply eats some meat all to himself. The downside is that the camera view centers on himself until he stops charging/eating.
* FlechetteStorm: The Limit Break version, which starts with a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown into a Hyakuren Twin Kugi Punch (Hundred Chain Twin Nail Punch).
* MegatonPunch: His Kugi (Nail) Punch technique. Done as one of his specials.
* RazorSharpHand: His Fork and Knife techniques, which emit [[ShapedLikeItself literal images]] of a fork and knife with blue energy.
%%* WorthyOpponent: Luffy's.

!!'''Zebra'''
--> Series: ''Manga/{{Toriko}}''
--> Voiced by: Kenji Matsuda

----
* BigEater: He ate twenty-six species into ''extinction''. His stamina charge also works just like Toriko's.
* BloodKnight: Just like Toriko, only he's a lot more sinister.
* CrackingUp: Cracks his neck in his battle intro.
* DeathFromAbove: His LimitBreak, Meteor Noise.
* DeflectorShields: His Oto no Kabe (Wall of Sound).
* LongRangeFighter[=/=]TrapMaster: Despite being a typical MightyGlacier, Zebra's playstyle mainly revolves around keeping his foes out rather than closing in on them. A ton of his projectiles and his Oto no Kabe are excellent for zoning tools. However, one needs to also properly manage his stamina.
* MakeSomeNoise: A majority of his attacks are sound-based, as well as having a literal mouth cannon to top it off.
* NightmareFace: The left side of his cheek has been torn off, showing his teeth.
* SociopathicHero: A lot of his quotes are quite violent and have some dark undertones.

A Saiyan named after the Chinese monkey king that was sent to destroy Earth, and has been raised on it and now its greatest savior!
-----
* AnimeHair: He was born with it, and it even was the codifier for non-elite Saiyans.
* BigEater: A common trait between him and the remaining Saiyans, especially since they fight a lot.
* BloodKnight: Of the rare heroic variety. He's glad to pick a good fight and fight for justice and Earth's safety all at once.
* ChargedAttack: His normal Strong Attack is a rotating back-spin kick, where if charged up fully, he'll [[FlashStep warp]] to his target before unleashing it. Unlike other Strong Attacks it has no combos that branch off of it.
** However, that changes in Super Saiyan mode, where he can press Triangle a few more times to beat them around via two more teleporting blows upon landing the charged version of it (and it also charges faster in that said mode). Can also tap circle for a chain-cancelled followup Kamehameha upon the final blow, or use square in the middle of the string for a three-input combo (tapping circle during that instead makes him followup with Meteor Smash). [[DifficultButAwesome However, this whole combo can easily be messed up by the terrain and completely miss if not positioned right]].
* ClothingDamage: His training boots and the bottom of his gi are clearly tattered and dirtied from battle on his model.
* CombinedEnergyAttack: The Genki Dama (Spirit Orb) AKA Spirit Bomb. [[FriendlyFireproof Can also accidentally hit allies with no damage]].
* CounterAttack: His R1+Circle, Vanishing Counter, where he warps behind his opponent to smack them, [[LauncherMove then kick them up into the air for a Tag-Team Melee]].
* DashAttack: His version like Vegeta's and Frieza's is more unique. His has two extra inputs by default, and if done during the finisher to his weak attack string, he can either dash-flight-chase (with R2) or jump-cancel-flight-dash after them (with the jump/X button) and pummel them with either his dash attack or a different unique automated string. Can also be done during either version of his R1+Square combo finisher as well, and the said finisher of the pursuit attack can be followed up with a Kamehameha.
** Also has an akin version with his forward + circle special, Meteor Smash: a rushing elbow attack which when it connects, leads into a blazing teleporting rush of attacks ending in a [[MeteorMove slamming axe handle used in that said aforementioned pursuit combo finisher]].
*** Can also use the aforementioned dash-pursuit with R2 like Vegeta can during the charged combo Super Saiyan version of his strong attack.
* FlashStep: Applies this in a variety of ways:
** During his Super Saiyan Triangle string, or during the first input of his dash attack.
** During his Super Saiyan Mode for the Shunkan Idou Kamehameha (Teleportation Turtle Destroyer Wave) AKA Warp Kamehameha, where he'll do so if Triangle is pressed during the delay period when he has enough stamina. That very will do a single one-shot knock-away hit compared to the normal version.
*** Also has a Kamehameha followup variation where it's done during the ending portion of his normal dash attack string, where he instantly lands on the ground quite fast to fire a single-hitting version of the wave that dissipates upon contact as the finisher.
* GoldenSuperMode: Super Saiyan. Like Vegeta, he can access it when he fully charges up his stamina gauge to 200%. But anything that empties it completely it will cause him to revert back, and said mode can be accessed outside of Victory Burst unlike others (as well as lasting only until he has his stamina drained).
** Also transforms into the state when his Spirit Bomb connects on a target, just to put more extra energy through it. The said Spirit Bomb requires the pure heart of Gokuu's base form to perform it hence why he can only turn into the rage-fueled Super Saiyan form after throwing it.
* HumanAlien: One of the Saiyans.
* JackOfAllStats: A more well-rounded fighter compared to Vegeta and Frieza, where he's at least able to dish out a good amount of pain from afar with his signature Kamehameha, but also has a good variety of standard close-range tools unlike them (such as a standard area attack).
* KamehameHadouken: Duh! Well, the first part at least. Literally, the Turtle Destroyer Wave, and done as his neutral circle. However, this is his only form of far-range combat in this game and it can be easy to miss it due to how much he puts into it via the slow startup and positioning being considered to connect with the beam. The midair version does a few extra hits, but removes less stamina on block as a trade-off, while the finisher versions do less damage with only a single hit that launches away.
** The Super Saiyan version makes the beam more sky-blue with lightning aesthetics (turning into a Super Kamehameha), and does slightly more damage.
* ManChild: More pure-minded than childish though, and usually shows his smarts when in battle.
* MegatonPunch: His Guard Break, where he floats a bit for a hooking downward smash.
* NamedAfterSomeoneFamous: He simply has the name of [[Literature/JourneyToTheWest Sun Wukong]] himself romanized in the Japanese on'yomi format.
* PowerPalms {{Kiai}}: His weak-strong combo finisher, where he palms forward a burst of his home series' kiai in front of himself. The R1+Square-Triangle finisher involves two hands instead on both front and back for an area-of-effect burst instead.
* ThreeStrikeCombo: His area attack with R1+Square unlike Vegeta and Frieza (who use Ki blasts) can be inputted up to three times for a triple spin kick combo. Can be ended with Triangle on either the first or second input for an aura burst that produces the same type of knockback.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: "Son Goku" (the most used), "Son Gokū" or "Son Gokuu" (or "Gokuh/Gokou" which are both completely inaccurate).

----
* AlternateCharacterReading: Some of his moves are spoken out in a reading more akin to Chinese than Japanese (kun'yomi and/or on'yomi). Justified due to his techniques being taught to him at a temple in China.
* BadassLongcoat: He tosses it away upon reaching 200% stamina however.
* BigOlEyebrows: His eyebrows do stand out a bit due to how thick they are.
* BlowYouAway: He can swing his sword hard enough to create tornadoes. A notable example is his [[SpectacularSpinning Hishou Kakusuiken Ougi: Rin Senpuu (Secret Hearing Crane Spindle Sword Secret Skill: Threshold Whirlwind)]] forward+circle special making him spin on his sword via a handstanding sword-plant. It can be extended with extra button taps to change its direction (which uses up stamina per input), and up against a wall/corner it can rack up an insane amount of hits.
* BlownAcrossTheRoom: 3 of his standard string combo finishers and even his area/ranged attack finisher invokes this.
* TheCoatsAreOff: Can ditch his longcoat mid-battle, when he reaches 200% stamina.
* CutlassBetweenTheTeeth: He actually does this with his katana's grip during his normal strong combo finisher combined with a shoulder charge.
* DualWielding: Uses an extra katana out of nowhere in reverse grip for his R1+Square area attack, and cross-slashes with them on the second input.
* IaijutsuPractitioner: His R1+Circle special, Mugen Ittou-Ryuu: Shingan Ken (Infinity One Blade-Style: Heart's Eye Sword). Circle has to be pressed once again at anytime while Momotarou has his sword sheathed so he can perform the slash as he closes his eyes when sheathing his sword. Said slash does far more damage the closer Momotarou is to his target(s).
** StanceSystem: However, causing him to sheath his sword on the first input allows him to enter a stance where he can run around and reposition, but is left defenseless as he can't dash, block or jump before he quick-draws.
* JapaneseDelinquents: His series is the TropeCodifier for a reason, but he's more honorable/disciplined than thuggish compared to what most would expect.
* MeaningfulName: His surname literally means "sword/saber" in Japanese.
* MegatonPunch: Uses a few punches in some of his moves, like for his weak attack string ender and his Guard Break.
* MightyGlacier: He's a bit slow via some of his attacks' startup times, but he hits pretty damn hard on several of those said moves; even with his basic weak attack combos.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: Wields one as his main weapon.
* SpamAttack: His weak-weak-strong combo where he uses pommel of his katana (most likely a nod to his Shishi Tourouken, lit. Four Limbs Flatiron Clear Sword).
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: The long vowel on the ending part of his name. Most forms of media ignore it, but the "ro" part can be written with an extra "u" however.
* SwordBeam: The aforementioned Shingan Ken is the standard example, though he also only has it for his LimitBreak, Wanfuuji Chouhiougi: Shinkifuukon (King Tiger Temple Super Concealed Secret Skill: Sunrise Qi/Ki Tiger Soul), which fires a tiger-shaped blast forward. Lack of enough of this sadly limits his far range options.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Doesn't wear a shirt under his chest-baring longcoat, and is shown in full when he reaches 200% stamina on charge.

Known as one of the legendary Hitokiri of the Meiji Revolution, but has since reformed into a solid fighter with a new vow to protect with no bloodshed!
----
* AnimalMotifs: The Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryuu has heavy emphasis on the dragon.
* AttackItsWeakPoint DashAttack: His [[DashAttack Kuzuryuusen (Nine-Head Dragon Flash)]], which does a quick-yet-powerful nine strikes at once at the opponent's nine-vital spots. It also, just like its source of origin, [[UnblockableAttack cannot be blocked or dodged head-on]], but it can at least be logically sidestepped only if you dash around it far and quick enough, as well as easily jumped over.
** UnblockableAttack: As aforementioned, which makes up for his lack of a traditional guard break.
* TheAtoner
* BadassNormal: While he is a MasterSwordsman, Kenshin stands out amongst the playable cast, most of whom either has supernatural abilities or run on RuleOfFunny.
* CloseRangeCombatant: Kenshin is a solid close-range fighter with a good array of combos off of his tools, though the biggest downside to him is that he can be difficult to use, doesn't cover too much distance with some of his attacks, and completely lacks a non-downward falling attack to use in midair; he's one of the few characters to even lack a midair special move!
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass[=/=]ComicallySerious: Much more of a notable badass, but even he has his foolish moments. His signature "oro" verbal tic in his usual goofy tone is used whenever the player using him gets a game over screen.
* DeathFromAbove: His Ryuutsuisen (Dragon Hammer Flash), either done from the air as his only midair attack, as his standard strong attack combo finisher or from the rise of his Ryuushousen during his strong-strong-weak combo.
* DiagonalCut: His fighting style's ougi, the Amakakeru Ryuu no Hirameki (Flash of the Heavenly Soaring Dragon), and an impossibly fast one at that due to the unique requirements compared all battoujutsu-based moves. The R1+Circle version can allow him to [[CounterAttack counter any attack that comes his way via being able to slash any opponent that comes near after his delay in the stance, while also having some decent invincibility to trigger it properly]] and [[TimeStandsStill also freezes time around Kenshin and his target(s) upon proper activation]].
* DishingOutDirt: His Douryuusen (Earth/Land Dragon Flash) as his R1+Square ranged attack, which makes Kenshin strike his sword along the ground to send ground-based debris at his opponent's direction.
* GoodIsNotNice: If someone has any just desserts coming that is.
* TheFettered: As per usual. Kenshin will never kill anyone at all hence he wields a sakabatou and still can pack a nasty punch with such a limitation and vow alike. The sound effects whenever he hits someone with it aren't even typical slicing sounds.
* IaijutsuPractitioner: The TropeCodifier, being known as the "Battousai" in the past. His main fighting style, the Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryuu (Flying Heaven Govern Sword-Style) also focuses heavily on battoujutsu.
* ImplausibleFencingPowers: Capable of slicing a ''building-sized'' Getsuga Tenshou in the opening.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: Wields a sakabatou (inverted edge blade) styled like a katana. As mentioned above, all the sound effects with the sword are typical battering sounds as opposed to slicing sounds; this basically leads to his unique trait where he's able to ''always'' lower his target's stamina on any hit of his inverted blade, weak or strong.
* MasterSwordsman: He wasn't known as Battousai the Manslayer for nothing, and he still packs a punch even with a blade on the wrong side of his sword.
%%* PrettyBoy
* RedBaron: Battousai the Manslayer. Previously of course.
%%* ShellShockedVeteran
* [[WeaponsThatSuck Slashes That Suck]]: His LimitBreak, Nidan Kamae Amakakeru Ryuu no Hirameki (Two-Stage Stance Flash of the Heavenly Soaring Dragon). This version causes the very first slash made from the sheer speed of his sword-draw to cut the air into a void, which can cause opponents to stand still while Kenshin throws out the second slash, that is if they are in proper range.
* {{Shoryuken}}: The two variations of his Ryuushousen (Dragon Soar Flash), done either from an upward chin slash (his strong combo second input), or from his Ryuutsuisen (midair attack version or strong-strong-weak combo version).
* SpinAttack: His Ryuukansen (Dragon Coil Flash) series, done mainly as his neutral circle special as a ThreeStrikeCombo. With the standard variation of course (not seen in this game); as well as the Kogarashi (Wintry Wind; a single-turning slash), Tsumuji (Hair Whirl; Kenshin spirals like a torpedo forward and is also done as his dash attack) and Arashi (Tempest; forward somersaulting slash), with all three of those done much like his five-hit combo against Shishio.
* StanceSystem: By using R1+Triangle, Kenshin can transition into his battoujutsu stance AKA literally his "sheathed blade state" (which sadly doesn't allow him to have a Guard Break in his movelist) where he can dash all around at a much faster speed and is able to use certain battoujutsu moves unique to said stance (which are his tag-team launcher, a variation of his weak-strong combo finisher, his Ryuukansen and Amakakeru Ryuu no Hirameki). He can even combo into the said stance off of certain attacks to even chain more effectively into those said moves.
** During it however, he can't block, use his Kuzuryuusen or move around with mechanics such as dashes like his in his normal stance (and he also moves mainly in 4 directions, so his dashing is a lot harder to control). He uses up stamina per movement input, as well as when entering the stance. Also, getting hit will cause him to exit the stance either way.
%%* WarriorTherapist
* VerbalTic: "Oro" and "de gozaru".

A former ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village and the last of the Uchiha clan, Sasuke sets out to achieve his goals for vengeance and almost nothing can stop him!
----
* BowAndSwordInAccord: His Susano'o (Ought-Skill Helper). In the latter case, Sasuke wields his iconic chokutou (straight blade) behind his waist.
* BreathWeapon: His classic Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu (Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu). Can also be done in midair and homes in slowly on opponents (and he also has a backward+circle version that acts as a non-homing anti-air).
* DashAttack: His standard dash attack can be cancelled into a faster Chidori input, albeit that very specific version can also be forward-step cancelled by tapping a forward direction for some strange gimmicks.
* FightingSpirit: Again, his Susano'o. Its ribs appear whenever Sasuke's blocking attacks and also appears during some of his basic attacks.
* FlechetteStorm: His midair strong attack involves tossing a double storm of kunai with a surprising amount of stun and accuracy (only if he's in range and facing towards them properly though). [[BladeSpam Most likely is based off of his Raikou Kenka (Lightning Sword Creation) ability]].
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Was good, then evil, then turned out to be good, then super evil, now good again. Still evil in the game, though.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: Wields a chokutou (straight blade) ever since his alliance with Orochimaru.
* MegatonPunch: Done with his Susano'o skeleton fist during some of his combo finishers, his jumping weak attack and for his Guard Break.
* PlayingWithFire: As per Uchiha clan tradition, Sasuke is well-versed in fire-based techniques.
* PowerPalms: His signature Chidori for one of his specials (forward+circle), which also stuns the opponent if it properly connects its final hit. His standard dash attack can also be cancelled into a faster Chidori input, albeit that very specific version can also be forward-step cancelled by tapping a forward direction for some strange gimmicks. Funny enough, Chidori seems to have higher priority over a Naruto using Rasengan if the two of them happen to attempt to collide in this game.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: His Sharingan (Copy Ring Eye) and its evolved form Mangekyou Sharingan (Kaleidoscope Copy Ring Eye).
* ShockAndAwe: Thanks to Kakashi's training years ago. Sasuke has honed his Chidori (Thousand Birds) technique to various levels, such as being able to project it into an area-of-effect storm via Chidori Nagashi (Thousand Birds Current; his R1+Square ranged/area attack).
* TechnicolorFire: His usage of Amaterasu (Heavenly Shine) and later on Entou: Kagutsuchi (Flame Release: Added Tool Land Life) grants him ''very'' hot pure-black fires. The fire on his Susano'o is a shade of purple. The former enables him to continuously drain his target's stamina for as long as its held down, but he'll flinch in pain whenever he cancels it.
* TheRival: To Naruto.

The mighty emperor of space, Frieza controls the battle field with his overwhelming power!
----
* BeamSpam[=/=]LongRangeFighter: Even more than Vegeta. He too also shares the same R1+Square Ki Blast mechanic as Vegeta does (and where the triangle finisher to it is his main Tag-Team Melee LauncherMove), and all three of his specials plus both of his jump attacks are and/or involve projectiles, which are great at being able to intercept and control opponents from afar.
* BreakoutVillain: It's telling that he was the villain chosen to represent ''Dragon Ball''.
* ChargedAttack: Has the same type of neutral strong attack as with Gokuu and Vegeta, but Frieza's version is the only one that has no followups.
* DashAttack: His version, like Gokuu's and Vegeta's, is more unique. His has two extra inputs by default, and if done during the Triangle finisher to his weak combo, he can jump-cancel-flight-dash after them (with the jump/X button) and pummel them with his dash attack (which instead turns into a four-input rush during this).
* EarthShatteringKaboom: His all-purpose problem-solver, though he can't do it in this game.
* EnergyWeapon: His Death Beam (his neutral circle) which can also be charged up; it drains a bit more stamina the more circle is held down, but it inflicts more hits. The midair version charges faster. A minor version of this trope applies to the finishing inputs to both his jump attacks, which use up a small amount of stamina.
* GalacticConqueror: Exterminates the population of planets and either sells them to the highest bidder or, if they don't have resources that people want, destroys them.
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: His taunt shows him being uninterested to see [[SpamAttack opponents using same attack patterns over and over]], which may also happen to be reflecting the player's habit of ButtonMashing.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Arguably one of the shorter characters (but not as short as someone like Ryoutsu, who's ironically one of his rivals).
* SphereOfDestruction:
** His LimitBreak, Death Ball.
** Also his R1+Circle, his "You won't be returning alive!" move used to seal his target into an exploding sphere he sends up into the air, which he can choose to detonate by hitting circle again after a certain amount of time upon connecting (and is the one move used to kill Gokuu's friend Krillin in the original manga/anime).
* SuperMode: The only ''Dragon Ball'' character in this game to subvert this, as Frieza has no extra form when he hits 200% stamina. He also plays with this trope in that akin to most crossovers, he fights in his true-fourth form in this game by default.
* SwordBeam: A non-sword example in his forward+circle special, the Daichi Retsuzan (Great Earth Rending Slash) AKA Death Wave, where he slashes two waves forward that have good coverage but somewhat pitiful damage as a trade-off.
* VillainTeamUp: With Raoh.

--> Series: ''[[Manga/{{FistOfTheNorthStar}} First of the North Star]]''
--> Voiced by: Creator/TesshoGenda

----
* BarrierWarrior: His forward + circle special, Touki Houshutsu (Fighting Qi/Ki Emission), where he forms a barrier that lasts for as long as his current stamina amount (as it drains gradually for the duration), where it can both crumple any targets that come into contact with it and block any attack for free. Pressing circle again will cause him to unleash a powerful blow that sends the target(s) far away; though the primary weakness is that any unblockable attack can break through the barrier like with a normal guard. That, and the second followup blow has some startup and will completely drain all of Raoh's current stamina (and after a few seconds, he'll automatically use the followup anyway if he still has stamina remaining during that time).
* DyingMomentOfAwesome: If Raoh would be the last K.O. in a match, he'll recreate his famous death scene, last words and all. However, via a cheap-shot it prolongs the time the K.O. sign pops up, so if his partner is quick enough depending on the situation, they may be able to score a K.O. (especially if it's the winning one) quickly enough to turn it around and/or claim victory.
* FingerPokeOfDoom: His R1 + Circle special, Shinketsushuu (New Blood Distress), where he jams his finger into his foe's chest for an unblockable grab. Once he connects, he'll hold them up, and smash them down with the attack's kanji being shown. A few moments later, his foe will then explode out of nowhere.
* GrappleMove: His Guard Break, where he grabs his foe's face with both hands, laughs for a while, then flings them up and away like nothing. Often used as a guaranteed followup to his Super.
* MightyGlacier: Hits hard and has solid combo game and versatile moves, but has a sluggish high jump akin to other bulky-types like himself and some of his move animations are rather lenghty, on top of using up notable chunks of stamina per special.
* NobleDemon: Applies to some of his dialogue, and ultimately was someone who gave into AmbitionIsEvil.
* NotDistractedByTheSexy: Medaka attempts to let Raoh admit that her body is pretty good. He's having none of that.
-->'''Medaka:''' Raoh! Tell me that I am the prettiest!
-->'''Raoh:''' Know this! I will not fall for your charms!
* KamehameHadoken:
** His neutral circle, Goushouha (Strong Palm Wave), a short-to-mid ranged energy blast that flies out pretty fast, making it a solid neutral tool.
** His LimitBreak, Tenshou Honretsu (Heaven General Bustling Fury); unlike most supers however, it loses its invincibility frames after Raoh goes through his cutscene and upon him firing the beam, so it can easily be interrupted by lingering attacks.
* RapidFireFisticuffs: Not much to the extent of Kenshirou however, as it's only for his strong-weak/strong-strong-weak combo which is likely based on his Shuu Renda (Collected Barrage).
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: His name is written as either "Rao", "Raou" or "Raō". So far, lots of media often goes for romanizing his long vowel with an "h".
* SuperReflexes: His perfect guard is one of the few that is a direct (counter) attack, the Musou Insatsu (Thoughtless Shade Killing), where he kicks either in front of behind himself on pure reaction to inflict a crumple.
* VillainTeamUp: With Frieza.

Admiral Sakazuki, AKA Akainu, the strongest member of the Navy, joins the battle in the name of justice against pirates!
-----
* AnimalMotifs: His epithet. Also visually apparent in his Inugami Guren (Dog Biting Crimson Lotus) special and Meigou (Dark Hound).
* AntiVillain: He's a marine who fights pirates and other criminals. But still ruthless and merciless.
* CoatCape: He's not a ''One Piece'' character without it.
* CursedWithAwesome: The Devil Fruit powers, which take away their user's ability to be able to act while submerged in water. In this game's case, being underwater in stages such as Planet Namek will render Akainu to be unable to stamina charge or recover his stamina naturally.
* DashAttack: His aforementioned Meigou, done as his forward+circle special where he dashes forward with a lava punch, then hits them with another strike from the same fist if circle is inputted again when he connects.
* DeathFromAbove: His LimitBreak, Ryuusei Kazan (Meteor Volcano). The meteors that rain down are shaped just like his fists.
* ElementalPunch:
** Forms elongated-magna-fists with his Dai Funka (Big Eruption) technique during his normal attacks, which can also be done mainly as his neutral circle special.
** His weak, strong/weak, weak, strong combo(s) involve him punching a bunch of lava fists into the air at his target upon uppercutting them into it.
** His strong attack string, unlike most other characters, has him punch out lava blasts per strike (and thus also use up his stamina).
** ChargedAttack: Taken to heat-seeking KamehameHadoken levels with his aforementioned Inugami Guren, where fully charging up his neutral circle allows him to shoot out a lava dog to lock-on to his opponent from any distance.
* GroundPound: His Bakuretsu Kazan (Exploding Volcano) R1+Circle special, which sends an explosion from underneath his target from nearly any distance. Interesting of note is that this is an attack that's only seen in his video game appearances. Also applies to his jump attack and his [[DivingKick Meigou done in midair]].
* KillItWithFire: Most of his move set is based on firey magma attacks.
* KnightTemplar: The most extreme example from his home series.
* MagmaMan: Literally. His Devil Fruit allows him to turn himself into lava. Apparent in his area attack, where he sinks into the ground and reappears when he connects on a target with an uppercut, [[LauncherMove tag-team launching]] them.
* VillainTeamUp : With Makoto Shishio.

!!'''Makoto Shishio'''
--> Series: ''Manga/RurouniKenshin''
--> Voiced by: Masanori Ikeda

The burning samurai who slashes his enemies with his crimson blade of flame, the vile Makoto Shishio is here to make his world from dream to reality!
----
* BadassNormal: Much like Kenshin, he's not above having implausible abilities, but whereas other fighters can summon flames due to their own supernatural abilities, Shishio's flames come from his sword, which is soaked in the fat and oils of those he's killed, and requires some kind of friction to ignite.
* BandageMummy: He's nearly completely covered in bandages.
* BladeSpam: His signature Homura Dama (Blazing Soul), where he does a simple two-input barrage of wide-covering flame slashes that have quite an area-of-effect.
* CounterAttack: If timed right since he draws his sword from his sheath for the first input, he can instantly stop attacks and counter with the second slash right away if triggered.
* CloseRangeCombatant: His overall playstyle, which leads to a decent amount of added-up damage from his combos.
* HavingABlast: His Guren Kaina (Crimson Lotus Upper Arm), where he [[NeckLift grabs his opponent]] and uses his signature ability to light his gloved hand on fire.
* HotBlooded: Quite literally. He lacks sweat glands to regulate his body after being burned alive, so his body is always burning hot. [[spoiler:He actually dies of overheating in the manga.]]
* LimitBreak: His final attack never seen fully in the manga or anime, Kaguzuchi (Fire Bearing Spirit God). In this game, it's portrayed as a flaming cyclone on his sword that Shishio smashes the ground with. The attack even has very little lag to the point where he can link it twice in one Victory Burst.
* PlayingWithFire: Via his blade, the Mugenjin (Infinity Blade) absorbing human fats from his slain enemies.
* {{Shoryuken}}: His Mugenjin Senkuu (Infinity Blade Whirling Air) forward+circle special is a DashAttack example of this, added with a SwordDrag before the finishing uppercut leap. Via the DashAttack aspect, it can even be inputted mid-dash where it forgoes its startup animation.
* TheSocialDarwinist: For him, the strong are destined to live and the weak are destined to die. It is referenced in his battle-intro.
* VillainTeamUp: With Akainu.

The BigBad and TheManBehindTheMan[[note]]Tobi[[/note]] Behind The Man[[note]]Pain[[/note]] of ''Manga/{{Naruto}}''!
----
* BreathWeapon: His neutral circle special, Katon: Gouka Mekkyaku (Fire Release: Great Fire Effacement).
* CombatHandFan: More of a pole-arm example. During his battle intro, Madara is seen catching his signature gunbai uchiwa (stratagem fan) after being thrown to him. He also wields it during a few of his combo attacks.
* CounterAttack: His Uchiha Gaeshi (Uchiha Return) special, where he catches any incoming attack with his gunbai fan held out to block attacks and then [[BlowYouAway sends a converted-wind chakra blast at them]].
* DeadpanSnarker: His only response when Kenshiro is confused.
--> '''Kenshiro''': [[CaptainObvious You're already....dead...?]]
--> '''Madara''': That's all you have to say?
* DeathFromAbove: His LimitBreak, Tengai Shinsei (Heaven Obstacle Quake Star), which summons a meteorite onto the battlefield.
* GreenThumb: His forward + circle special, Mokuton: Jukai Koutan (Wood Release: Timber Realm Nativity), due to him containing some of the first Hokage's (Hashirama's) cells which gave him his Rinnegan. Using it causes a tendril of wood that binds the foe in place if it connects correctly.
* MagicMisfire: Usually, when the target is near Madara, he can get himself caught in the blast when the second meteorite is summoned. [[FriendlyFireproof Good thing there's no friendly fire damage for it.]]
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: He's summoned with Edo Tensei, being technically a zombie.
* PlayingWithFire: As an Uchiha, fire-based techniques are his specialty.
* SmugSuper: Very much so since he's often quite a bit arrogant.
* VillainTeamUp: With Aizen.

--> Series: ''[[Manga/{{Bleach}} Bleach]]''

----
* ChargedAttack: In his home series, kidou all have [[BadassCreed incantations]] which further increase their potency, while those skilled enough with the art can skip those said incantations. In Aizen's case in this game, charging up his special moves (which are all kidou) causes him to recite their incantations, though it leaves him pretty open when doing so.
* DeflectorShields: Uses the Bakudo Spell Dankuu to hold off attacks, and functions the same as Zebra's Oto no Kabe only colored blue.
* EvilSorceror: Uses a wide variety of ''kidou,'' including Dankuu (Severing Air), Rikujoukourou (Six Bars Light Prison) and his iconic Kurohitsugi (Black Coffin).
* GodhoodSeeker: He aims to dethrone the Soul King and take his place.
* MasterOfIllusion: His Zanpakutou, Kyouka Suigetsu (Mirror Flower Water Moon), can completely control the senses of those affected by it.
* PillarOfLight: His LimitBreak, where he uses the Hougyoku (Crumbling Orb) to power himself up via causing a purple dark pillar of energy to rise up and cause a shockwave around him. The effects seem to last throughout the rest of his Victory Burst.
* PowerCrystal: He has the Hougyoku, although he doesn't merge with it completely. He does use it to power himself up in his LimitBreak though.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: His given name is written as either "Sosuke", "Sousuke or "Sōsuke".
* VillainTeamUp: With Madara Uchiha.

!!'''Koro-sensei'''
--> Series: ''Manga/AssassinationClassroom''
--> Voiced by: Creator/TomokazuSeki

A nigh invincible super-creature who blew up the moon and plans to eventually do the same thing to the Earth. In the meantime, he's working as the homeroom teacher for a class of students who are trying their best to assassinate him.
----
* ArtificialHuman: The human part is debatable.
* BadassTeacher: His cap and gown isn't just for show. He's an intelligent, full blown teacher for a class of students that tries (and fails) to assassinate him on a regular basis.
* ColorCodedForYourConvenience: Like in ''Manga/AssassinationClassroom'', Koro-sensei's body color changes depending on his mood. His default is Yellow or Green (Normal mood), Yellow with Green-Stripes for when he's mocking you, and red for when he's angry.
* CombatTentacles: Utilizes his swift, whip-like tentacles to great effect.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Not only in his series, he's the strangest looking character in this entire game and in Shounen Jump, too.
* PerpetualSmiler: No matter how he feels, he constantly wears the same wide grin on his face.
* SignatureLaugh: "Nurufufufu."
* SuperDrowningSkills: True to his source material, one of his weaknesses is his skin is hyper-sensitive to water, making it melt and burst. However, in this game, it instead works akin to the weakness of the ''One Piece'' characters via Koro-sensei being unable to stamina charge passively or manually whenever he's in a body of water.
* SuperSpeed: His forte, he moves at Mach 20.
* VillainProtagonist: In his series. Though, the villain part is debatable.
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: He performs a spinning piledriver AFTER taking his for around the world at Mach 20.

!!'''Medaka Kurokami'''
--> Series: ''Manga/MedakaBox''
--> Voiced by: Creator/AkiToyosaki

A powerful student council president, Medaka is better than everyone, a literal [[TheAce Ace]]. In addition of naturally being above average, Medaka also harbors a special ability known as an abnormality; hers allows her copy a person's special power and personality, allowing her to master and use it at will. Her prodigious capabilities are the reason why the Mysterious Voice chose her to be one of the Examiners for ''J Stars Vs''[='s=] Tournamanent.
----
* ActionGirl: Alongside Hancock and Arale in this game, at least as far as playable characters are concerned.
* AssKicksYou: Her jumping midair attack is a [[DeathFromAbove drop from above]] with her butt.
* CastFromHitPoints: Her Kurokami Phantom like in her home series, deals damage to herself (which has gray-health that can be recovered over time). This doesn't apply to the dumb-down auto-combo version.
* CleavageWindow: Thanks to her attire, although Medaka's 3D character model also really emphasizes her breasts.
* FlechetteStorm: Her Anki: Chuushaki Midare Uchi (Shade Tools: Syringe Disordered Strike), where she kicks forward a wad of syringes (from Youka Naze [[spoiler:AKA her sister Kujira Kurokami]]) that each inflict a stamina debuff on-hit.
* InstantExpert: Her abnormality via The End (aside from the fact that she can't proper copy any abilities that require passionate approaches like music), while lacking overall practical knowledge (making her a bit air-headed sometimes). A majority of her attacks save for some of her basic attacks and Kurokami Phantom all come from someone else she's met in her home series. However, she herself via later arcs of her home series becomes more aware of her own flaws as a BrokenAce.
* KneelBeforeZod: Done in her R1+Circle special, Kotoba no Omoi (Weighted Words), copied from Oudo Miyakonojou. Also drains stamina for 2 ticks upon connecting with it. While it still does it's small amount of gradual damage with the debuff, the kneeling can only occur on grounded targets, and Medaka is a sitting duck when using it from far range or vs. airborne attacks.
* LimitBreak: Does a double return version via her SuperMode for her LimitBreak, which also doesn't damage her.
* MsFanservice: Just like Hancock and Lala, Medaka's very aware of her beauty and is a ShamelessFanserviceGirl.
* TheOjou: Her odder quirks aren't as apparent in this game. Combine that with her desire to solve everyone's problems while allowing them to better themselves, and you get someone who's capable of handling the eccentric cast of ''Jump Stars Vs''.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She's the only female examiner.
* StatusEffects: Her specialty. While she's only a mere JackOfAllStats that's a bit lackluster elsewhere, she revolves around completely debuffing her opposition's resources via her neutral circle and R1+Circle, arguably making her annoying to fight against for anyone who's very stamina-hungry in their moveset.
* SuperMode: Her War/Riot God mode, which has to be accessed via her LimitBreak (she'll instantly enter it) or via her doing a stamina charge animation that takes a long time no matter her current stamina amount (while reciting an iconic quote of hers).
* PowerPalms: Her weak-strong combo finisher, where it functions the same as Gokuu's.
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: She gives her opponent a German Suplex as her guard break.

!!'''Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada (with Reborn)'''
--> Series: ''Manga/Reborn2004''
--> Tsuna voiced by: Yukari Kokubun
--> Reborn voiced by: Neeko

Tsuna is the future tenth boss of the mafia famiglia Vongola. The Arcobaleno and professional hitman Reborn is his home tutor to make Tsuna, despite the latter's initial disapproval, a worthy successor!
----
* AdaptationalHeroism: Reborn is notably less hostile towards Tsuna here compared to the original manga/anime. In the story mode, the worst he does is chastise Tsuna for being too [[NiceGuy nice]].
* AnimeHair: Both of them.
* BadassAdorable: Both of them.
* BadassAndChildDuo: Subverted. Reborn is much more badass than Tsuna, but he never fights.
* ElementalPunch: His X-Burner special, and his LimitBreak, Big Bang Axle followed by a Burning Axle finisher.
* GuestStarPartyMember: In the story mode. He doesn't stay because both he and Reborn are actually examiners.
* InSeriesNickname: Tsunayoshi is mostly called "Tsuna".
* IJustWantToBeNormal
* NiceGuy: Tsuna, so much so that he willingly becomes a GuestStarPartyMember in the story mode despite being one of the examiners and even manages to convince Reborn to give the heroes a hint as to where the third emblem might be.
* NonActionGuy: Reborn, because he would be too broken (in the original manga and anime).
* PlayingWithFire: Tsuna uses his (Sky) Dying Will Flames.
* PowerFist: Tsuna's X-Gloves.
* Really700YearsOld: The Arcobaleno Curse is the reason why Reborn is trapped in the body of an infant.
* TokenMiniMoe: In the story mode, Tsuna is the youngest examiner.

--> Voiced by Creator/MamiKoyama

A resident of the Penguin Village, Arale seems to be an adorable girl, but is actually a superpowered android!
-----
* ActionGirl: The oldest example in this game (not her actual age).
%%* BadassAdorable
* BreathWeapon KameHameHadoken: The N'cha Cannon.
* CatchPhrase: N'cha!
* MegatonPunch: As in her home series, her punches are strong enough to break Earth in two.
* RobotKid[=/=]RobotGirl: Much to the surprise of almost everyone in ''Jump Stars Vs''.

!!'''Boa Hancock'''
--> Series: ''Manga/OnePiece''
--> Voiced by: Creator/KotonoMitsuishi

With the power of the Love-Love fruit, Boa is able to petrify her opponents!
-----
* ActionGirl: Along with Arale and Medaka.
* AscendedExtra: She's not even a main character or a main villain from ''Manga/OnePiece''.
* CombatStilettos: Fights in her heels. Her ultimate attack finishes with a heel kick as well.
* CursedWithAwesome: The Devil Fruit powers, which take away their user's ability to be able to act while submerged in water. In this game's case, being underwater in stages such as Planet Namek will render Hancock to be unable to stamina charge or recover her stamina naturally.
* TheFightingNarcissist: Her entire personality is built upon her beauty, so she'll always taunt her opponents about being "taken" by her beauty.
* ForeheadOfDoom: Thanks to a prominent part in her bangs.
* {{Jerkass}}: To everyone who isn't Luffy. All others are just obstacles and anoyances.
* KickChick: Her primary fighting style
* LadyOfWar: Of the graceful variety.
* MsFanservice: One of the most shameless examples, even in this game. She competes with Medaka and Lala on this as well.
* {{Tsundere}}: She's only ''deredere'' to Luffy.
* WorldsMostBeautifulWoman: Self-proclaimed and [[InUniverse officially recognized]] in her original series, where she's tied with Mermaid Princess Shirahoshi.

!!'''Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo'''
--> Series: ''Manga/BoboboboBobobo''
--> Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo voiced by: Creator/TakehitoKoyasu
--> Don Patch voiced by: Creator/MasayaOnosaka

Bobobo is a master of the ''Fist of the Nose Hair (Hanage Shinken)'' technique, which allows him to manipulate his nose hairs to fight Hair Hunters!
-----
* AfroAsskicker: He's so pleased with his afro that he taunts Yusuke's pompadour hairstyle if they're fighting each other in battle. [[BerserkButton Yusuke doesn't like it AT ALL]].
* AssistCharacter: He has Don Patch with him and uses him in various attacks, [[HeroicComedicSociopath willingly or not]]. He can send Don Patch out to deliver a barrage of punches, or he can use Don Patch as a shield that stuns his opponent if Bo-bobo blocks just as he's about to be hit. Don Patch also helps Bo-bobo throw oranges at the opponent, and the attack ends with Bo-bobo using Don Patch as the last projectile, latching onto the opponent like [[Anime/DragonBallZ Chaozu]] and exploding. However, Don Patch actions obviously cannot stack with one another, as using one action involving him will cancel out the prior one.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: With blonde hair to boot.
%%* CoolShades
%%* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: One of the biggest... His series is considered "crazy" for a reason.
* FightingClown: Coming from a silly and non-nonsensical world--as well as his fighting style being based around his ''nose hair''--makes this a given.
* GlacierWaif: With this in mind, the main downside of Bobobo is that his animations are very showy and laggy; there are times where without his zany ConfusionFu setups, he'll have a hard time continuously applying pressure as his strings have plenty of gaps within them, as well as having some average damage overall.
* HeroicComedicSociopath: He uses his sidekick [[ButtMonkey Don Patch]] as a projectile and a shield!
* HeroicSacrifice: Done as an attack using Don Patch, parodying Chaozu's sacrifice in ''Dragon Ball Z''. He always comes back, though.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: One of his attacks has him throwing oranges as a projectile, and then after he runs out, Don Patch. His sprint attack also has him throwing tissue paper as an attack.
* PrehensileHair: His nose hair, of course.
* SprintShoes: Bo-bobo dons a pair when he runs...except in his case, they're tissue boxes. He even uses them for his DashAttack via tossing the tissue at his target whilst braking.

!!'''Gintoki Sakata'''
--> Series: ''Manga/{{Gintama}}''
--> Gintoki voiced by: Creator/TomokazuSugita
--> Shinpachi Shimura voiced by: Creator/DaisukeSakaguchi

The alternate version of the figure Kintoki Sakata. He may be a lazy guy with a sweet tooth, but his wooden bokuto and his personal-yet-honest way of bushidou isn't just for show!
-----
* BadassNormal: Unlike most of the other characters, Gin is pretty much just a normal, if talented, samurai. The more surreal moves he has are mostly references to how [[NoFourthWall "meta"]] his show is.
* BattleAura: Does so just like how Seiya does it. "Burn! My whatever it is!" he says.
* CombatCommentator: Shinpachi comments on whatever Gintoki does during the fight [[BreakingTheFourthWall with speech bubbles]]. Fortunately, it doesn't obscure the player's view.
* CombatPragmatist: Uses a variety of bombs, rides on his scooter and even has a dirty trick with his Guard Break where he kicks his target in the thigh.
* DifficultButAwesome: Gintoki's kit manages to be both simple and complex at the same time, as many different combo routes do exist, but many of them involve linking his moves together in ways that aren't immediately intuitive, and sometimes requiring pinning an opponent against a wall or corner. Played well, Gintoki is capable of powerful damage at only a fraction of the stamina cost as his competitors.
* DualWielding: In his LimitBreak, where he actually wields a real katana in tandem with his wooden one.
* InterfaceScrew: For his R1 + circle special, if he hits you with the Lake Toya's soy sauce, your screen will be filled with soy sauce, blinding players for a few seconds. [[TheComputerIsACheatingBastard Of course, this doesn't work against A.I. opponents.]] It's also unblockable.
* KamehameHadouken: A parody to Gokuu's Kamehameha as a nod to one of his actions in a certain episode.
** EpicFail: Sometimes the move will fail, where it will fire some sort of short-ranged black funnel-wind.
* LethalJokeCharacter: On paper, Gintoki is almost comically lacking in options. He only has one proper auto-combo on the ground, only one aerial attack, his guard break is very slow on start-up, and only one of his specials even deals any meaningful damage without properly charging his stamina first. In practice, his unorthodox moveset offers a wide variety of combo routes, and his Soy Sauce Sword special being unblockable means being either too reckless or too defensive when fighting will get you blinded for your troubles. Upon successfully charging it, his Kamehameha is also one of the strongest specials in the game in terms of raw damage.
* NoFourthWall: Fourth walls do not exist in Gintoki's vocabulary.
* ShounenHair: His perm in his home series was often mocked.
* SwordPointing: His intro.
* ThrowDownTheBomblet: Whenever he throws the Justaway bombs, either at long-range distance (for one of his specials) or all around him via area-of-effect as he covers his ears (for his ranged/area attack with R1+Square).
* WoodenKatanasAreEvenBetter: His mail-order bokuto.

--> Voiced by: Creator/KazuyukiOkitsu

----
* HeroesPreferSwords: Wields the Sword of Luck & Pluck for his forward+circle special via a ThreeStrikeCombo via three inputs.
* LightEmUp: Such is the power of the Hamon (Ripple). '''SUNLIGHT YELLOW OVERDRIVE!'''
* RapidFireFisticuffs: Not only for his signature Sunlight Yellow Overdrive (his neutral circle), but also for some of his basic combos as well.

!!'''Joseph Joestar'''
--> Series: ''[[Manga/{{JoJosBizarreAdventure}} JoJo's Bizarre Adventure]]''
--> Voiced by: Creator/TomokazuSugita

The hot-headed but clever grandson of Jonathan Joestar who fought against the Pillar Men in 1939.
----
* CombatPragmatist: Often has very zany ways of combat in tandem with his Hamon/Ripple, ranging from using a tommy gun for his neutral circle, clackers for his shield special, and a few other tools.
* MoreDakka: His neutral circle where he uses a tommy gun. The second input has him running up to his target still in hitstun to smack them up into the air with the gun's butt for a LauncherMove, then charges it up with Hamon/Ripple to strike at them again when they land.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: Seems to be a fool, but a lot of his tactics are often carefully planned despite being bizarre.
* TheRival: Gintoki's. Funny in that how they share the [[Creator/TomokazuSugita same voice actor]].

--> Voiced by [=LaSalle=] Ishi'i

A quirky cop that protects the town on his bike Chidori!
-----
* BadassNormal: He's a skilled mechanic, so most of his combat revolves around [[MacGyvering using his inventions (or models)]] against opponents.
* BigOlEyebrows: Has a giant unibrow that's usually in the shape of an "M".
* ButtMonkey: Daijirou chews Ryotsu out during his ultimate.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Silly as he is, he can kick ass when pushed enough.
* FriendToAllChildren: Quickly gets along with Killua due to their mutual love for toys.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: His surname is either written in romaji as "Ryotsu", "Ryōtsu" or "Ryoutsu". In-game uses the "no extra o/u or non-circumflex" example. Same with his boss, which can be "Daijiro", "Dajirō" or "Daijirou".

!!'''Killua Zoldyck'''
--> Series: ''Manga/HunterXHunter''
--> Voiced by: Creator/MariyaIse

A trained son from a family of professional killers, Killua as one of Gon's best friends seeks a newfound path!
----
* AbsurdlySharpClaws: A majority of his moves. And it's his nails more likely.
* AlternateCharacterReading: His three primary electric-based attacks are read in a strange alternate reading as opposed to traditional Japanese.
* BadassAdorable: He's badass and has an adorable side.
* DeathFromAbove: His Narukami/Rakurai (Thunderbolt), done as his neutral circle special or during his LimitBreak. Can of course, also be done in midair.
* ElementalPunch: His Shippuu Jinrai (Hurricane Swift Thunder) forward+circle move is more of an elemental elbow-strike, where he can continue to delay the attack. It has a few notable perks:
** CounterAttack: It's primary shtick. If the opponent moves near Killua, he'll instantly respond with an invincible elbow strike as aforementioned which inflicts wallbounce near a wall. However, if he actually is hit by an attack just a few frames after its startup and while delaying it, he'll instead warp to in front of his foe to inflict a crumple onto them with the said elbow attack instead.
** SuperMode: [[spoiler:The Kanmuru/Shinsoku (Godspeed)]]. [[ChargedAttack It can be done by charging his Shippuu Jinrai fully to perform Denkou Sekka (Voltaic-Flint Speed)]], fully executing a Tag-Team Melee or using his Limit Break (hit or miss). It lowers his stamina costs on his nearly all stamina-based actions, while his dash also uses up no stamina in this mode, but like all super modes it wears off soon via set duration. It is indicated by having lightning emanate from his feet while having more spikier hair.
* IcyBlueEyes: They're a shade of purple however.
* KillerYoYo: His weapon of choice in this game. Primary done as his ranged attack (R1+Square), and is one of the only ranged attacks in the game that has extra inputs (up to three total).
* PowerPalms: His Izutsushi/Raishou (Thunder Palm), which in this game is one of his combo finishers (his weak attack string final input) as opposed to a special.
* ShockAndAwe: His Hatsu (Emission) allows him to transform his aura into electricity, thanks to being constantly tortured since childhood to the point where tazing himself can recharge him.
* SpeedBlitz: His LimitBreak, Hiraishin (Flying Thunder Quake). He then finishes with a super-powered Narukami for good measure. This puts him into his [[spoiler:Kanmuru]] mode if used, hit or miss.
* StealthExpert: His Nen Control: Zetsu (Suppress) special is able to conceal him from sight for a short time or before he starts to attack. He can still dash or stamina charge of course.
* TokenMiniMoe: Is the youngest playable character alongside Gon.
* WhiteSheep: Bonus point for having white hair among his brothers.

!!'''Kusuo Saiki'''

--> Voiced by: Creator/ShintaroAsanuma

A guy who has amazing ESP superpowers that annoy him to no end!
-----
* BlessedWithSuck: He has so many powers, but isn't that good at using most of them.
* ComicallyInvincibleHero: In his series, he's invincible to the point where his everyday life is no longer challenging. The manga revolves around the hilarious problems that arise from this.
* CrowbarCombatant[=/=]WrenchWhack: Seen in his jumping weak attack, where he drops down with a crowbar in hand.
* DishingOutDirt BarrierWarrior: His neutral circle special, Psycho Bit, where he causes rocks to orbit around him; he can either throw them forward with the press of circle again, or hold on to them so they can flinch his foe upon contact, making it very difficult to assault Saiki without projectiles.
** The + version however, nerfs this attack in a few ways; first is the fact that his rocks now need to orbit around him at least once in order to have their hitboxes active (allowing people who interrupt Saiki much sooner to make the floating rock shield basically useless despite still being active). Second is that while the rocks are active, until they are completely expended with any method, Saiki ''cannot charge up his stamina'' at all, making it a risky tool that can easily limit his resources.
* DoesNotKnowHisOwnStrength: His psychic powers make it hard for him to control his physical strength.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Throughout the story mode, he laments being unable to return to his peaceful, ordinary life.
* PsychicPowers: Has almost every psychic power you can imagine.
* ShockAndWave: His R1 + circle special, Psycho Hold, has him firing a wave of purple lightning forward, during the duration of shocking any enemy targets, he can followup with circle + any direction in order to toss them around, or choose to also setup a tag-team launch with it.
* TheStoic: A straitlaced teen who's constantly snarking at the other characters' antics.
* StoicSpectacles: Wears tinted glasses that go along with his stoic demeanor.
* SphereOfDestruction: His LimitBreak, Seigen Kaijo Psychokinesis (Limiter Cancel Psychokinesis).
* {{Teleportation}}: Has it everywhere in his moveset. His forward + circle special, Aport, takes the cake however, where he can aim a far-flying ball of energy that hits his target, but at the same time literally swaps places with them (leading to some DifficultButAwesome shenanigans if you know how and when to use it). The target can still Just/Perfect Guard against it to negate its effect however, and Saiki even if there's enough hitstun to spam it on the target, can only link it on a single target up to 3 times before the loop/infinite-prevention system kicks in.

!!'''Luckyman'''
--> Series: ''Tottemo! Luckyman''
--> Voiced by: Creator/MayumiTanaka

Once a very unlucky child, being crushed under a UFO lead to him being granted with the luckiest superpowers!
-----
* BornLucky: Well, not born with it, but he is incredibly lucky!
* ColonyDrop[=/=]DeathFromAbove: His LimitBreak, where he fires his Lucky Beam up into the sky to cause a huge structure to slam down on his opponent. If he's very unlucky however, he only causes a small wad of debris/a much smaller structure to fall down instead, and even falls over when calling it down.
* ComicallyInvincibleHero: Shows A LOT in his lucky state when he's blocking attacks head on; each attack blocked gives him a random animation of some random thing he's doing that somehow allows him to conveniently "dodge" every incoming attack.
* EnergyWeapon: LUCKY BEAAAAAM!
* {{Expy}}: A slight one of ''Series/{{Ultraman}}''.

!!'''Meisuke "Nube" Nueno'''
--> Series: ''Manga/HellTeacherNube''
--> Voiced by: Creator/RyotaroOkiayu

A humble teacher from Doumori Town, ready to be the best exocist/teacher for his precious students!
----
* BadassTeacher: His main job is teaching students and he cares deeply for them. So deeply in fact, he is more than willing to give his life to protect his students from demons.
* BigOlEyebrows: His eyebrows are rather pronounced.
* GuestStarPartyMember: When the main character's companions are possessed by demons in story mode, Nube joins the main character to help exorcise them. He leaves once the issue's resolved.
* KamehameHadoken: His ultimate.
* PaperMaster: Can surround himself in a scroll to act as a barrier, or can wrap an opponent in one to trap them in place for a while for his neutral circle. Also uses it to smack at someone for his area attack.
* RedRightHand: He has a demonic left hand, the Oni no Te (Hand of the Oni), which he utilizes in combat. Uses it [[ShapedLikeItself in name]] for his forward + circle to snatch a portion of his foe(s)'s soul, forcing them into a crumple state and snatching away a portion of their stamina (also uses a similar move as his Guard Break).
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: His nickname is either "Nube", "Nuubee" or "Nūbē" via the kana; the localized version goes for the very latter somehow.

!!'''Taro Yamada'''
--> Series: ''Anime/ChinyukiTaroToYukainaNakamaTachi''
--> Voiced by: Creator/MotokoKumai

Another version of Sun Wukong/Son Gokuu from ''Journey to the West'', known as a "the best kabukimono of all time".
----
* AssistCharacter: Summons an old woman to attack nearby opponents, though she has to search them out in a specific range first.
* {{Fartillery}}: He tries to mug Nube in an optional fight in Luffy's story, but Nube wins and captures him. He unleashes a massive fart (quite possibly soiling himself, judging by the text) to assault Nube's nostrils and successfully break free.
* {{Gasshole}}: Tying into the above, he can also fart as a double jump.
* {{Gonk}}: Even his "cute" face is affect by this. He's very nearly always drooling and/or having snot coming out of his nose.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: "Taro", "Tarou" or "Tarō" in kana/romaji.
* SuperMode: Used as one of his special moves which turns him more violent, and by proxy, also turns the aforementioned old woman violent enough to add extra attacks to her onslaught.
* UnexpectedCharacter: Let's be honest, can you name 5 people overseas who've heard of him?
* UseYourHead: He can use a charging headbutt as a special attack, or as the final part of his LimitBreak.

!!'''Vegeta'''
--> Series: ''Franchise/DragonBall''
--> Voiced by: Creator/RyoHorikawa

The prince of Saiyans. He first appeared as an enemy of Gokuu, but has since then become his greatest ally and rival alike!
----
* AnimeHair: An iconic example out of many, but not as bad as Gokuu's.
* BeamSpam:
** His neutral circle special, the signature Renzoku Enerugii Dan (Continuous Energy Bullets). Never lost his touch for that kind of move for a second. The grounded version launches the opponent with more damage per hit, while the midair version does less damage but has a small knockdown for it to be able to have more bullets hit. Both versions can have more inputs added when in Super Saiyan mode.
** He has a slower variation that are standard Ki/Qigong Cannon blasts with his R1+Square (which is not an invincible area attack) and his midair strong attack, where he can fire two successive small blasts per input. Pressing Triangle for the former and Square for the latter causes him to fire a stronger blast with awkward tracking that acts as his Tag-Team LauncherMove.
* BloodKnight: More of the anti-hero variety.
* ChargedAttack: His normal Strong Attack is a MegatonPunch variation to invert him from Gokuu (and thus Vegeta's Guard Break is a spinning kick attack akin to an inverted version of Gokuu's as well), where if charged up fully, he'll [[FlashStep warp]] to his target before unleashing it. Unlike other Strong Attacks it has no combos that branch off of it. However, that changes in Super Saiyan mode, where he can press Triangle a few more times to beat them around via two more teleporting blows upon landing the charged version of it (and it also charges faster in that said mode). The final fourth triangle input allows him to instantly use the airborne version of his neutral circle which functions the same. [[DifficultButAwesome However, this whole combo can easily be messed up by the terrain and completely miss if not positioned right]].
* DashAttack: His version like Gokuu and Frieza's is more unique. His has two extra inputs by default, and if done during the Triangle finisher to his weak combo (as the third and fourth input only), he can dash after them and pummel them with his dash attack (which instead turns into a six-input rush during this). Vegeta's unlike both Gokuu and Frieza's also is the only pursuit dash that uses the dash button input (with R2) instead of jump (X). Thus, his chase followup is the only one that uses up stamina. Can also followup with a different version of his neutral circle that costs no stamina by itself when circle is pressed just as Vegeta spike-kicks his target.
* DivingKick: More of a diving knee though; Vegeta's midair weak attack acts as this.
* ForeheadOfDoom: It's almost memetic.
* GoldenSuperMode: Super Saiyan. Like Gokuu, he can access it when he fully charges up his stamina gauge to 200%. But anything that empties it completely it will cause him to revert back, and said mode can be accessed outside of Victory Burst unlike others (as well as lasting only until he has his stamina drained).
* HavingABlast[=/=]SphereOfDestruction: His forward+circle special, the Big Bang Attack. It has slight homing properties (which were nerfed in the + version). However, the assist version inflicts more damage with 1 hit inflicted if launched at a far-enough distance.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Was bad, then turned good, then bad, then good onwards. He's good in the game, though, as per usual.
* HereditaryHairstyle: His hair style is the same as his father's.
* HumanAlien: As one of the Saiyans.
* LimitBreak: His signature Final Flash. Vegeta always turns into Super Saiyan for this move, either from turning into one if he's in base form, or if he's already in the mode. Either version has the same start-up time before the cinematic.
* LongRangeFighter: While Vegeta has decent close-combat capabilities, his real strengths lie in being able to have a strong far-ranged game with his beam spams and being a powerful back-line fighter. However, he needs to manage his stamina and his projectiles don't have the best tracking at certain angles.
* NobleDemon: More or less.
* TheRival: To Gokuu, to the point where he always calls him by his real name of Kakarot.
* SmugSuper: He does indeed have his {{pride}}. It wouldn't be Vegeta if not so.
* SphereOfPower: His R1+Circle special, Bakuhatsuha (Explosion Wave), which doubles as a reversal if timed right.

!!'''Allen Walker'''
--> Series: ''Manga/DGrayMan''
--> Voiced by: Creator/SanaeKobayashi

A young British exorcist who fights Akuma, the demonic weapons of the Millenium Earl, Allen is ready to become the best exorcist he can!
----
* DashAttack: His Edge End [[AlternateCharacterReading (or literally, Destruction Claw)]], where he dashes after his target. Upon connecting with the first one, he'll hit them with another return strike.
* DemotedToExtra: Originally a playable character in ''VideoGame/JumpSuperStars'' and its sequel, Allen's only a support character in this game.
* PrettyBoy
* RedEyesTakeWarning: His right eye is cursed to be able to see Akuma through of their disguised forms. It's since evolved several levels up a notch. He's at least a good guy though, despite a few questionable origins.
* RedRightHand: His left hand is imbedded with Innocence, allowing him to cancel it through said hand. Like his eye, it has since evolved into its second form.

!!'''Chitoge Kirisaki'''
--> Series: ''Manga/{{Nisekoi}}''
--> Voiced by: Creator/NaoTouyama
----
* BadassNormal: Mafia connections aside, she's just an ordinary school girl unlike Tsuna. Doesn't stop her from slapping some of the strongest fighters ever in the ''face.''
* LoveBubbles: With Lala in the opening after the latter was pushed by Medaka to save her from a ''sliced'' building-sized Getsuga Tenshou.
--> '''Tsuna''': [[IJustWantToBeNormal I never wanted to be a mafia boss.]]
--> '''Chitoge''': I know, right? It's kinda hard going to school if you're a mafia member.
* {{Tsundere}}: Which kinda explain her slap-happy attitude.

With flute in hand and hidden crazy talent in several musical fields, Jaguar is ready to rock your world with his stories of music to all he meets!
----
* CloudCuckooLander: Possibly one of the biggest in the game.
* DemotedToExtra: Just like Allen, he was originally a playable character in ''VideoGame/JumpSuperStars'' and its sequel. He's only a support now.
* InterfaceScrew: His assist attack causes him to dump ramen over his target, and thus it covers the screen, blinding the opponent for a bit. Obviously, the computer is completely unaffected. Jaguar also will relentlessly chase down his target as far as he can.

!!'''Kagura and Sadaharu'''

* MsFanservice: Even more shameless example than Medaka and Hancock, she is frequently mentioned getting nude for no reason. In fact, her recruitment quest involves finding her after she runs away from the Kame House, residence to ''Franchise/DragonBall''[='s=] DirtyOldMan bar none, Master Roshi (who's the one that requests you bring her back to him).
* RegeneratingHealth: Her support skill. Any fighters within the area has some of their health bar healed very slowly.

* IKnowMaddenKombat: Attacks using his skills in basketball.
* LookBehindYou: Kuroko's support skill (via a nod to his famous Misdirection ability) is to force an opponent to lock-on at the ball that is thrown till out of sight, losing the lock-on from the opponent momentarily.
* PowerPalms: He uses his Ignite Pass to shoot the ball forward, since he can't shoot normally like in his home series he has to palm the ball in the direction he wants it to go.
* StealthExpert: Much to the surprise of almost everyone in ''Jump Stars Vs''.
