Both of them also have the power to permanently kill a Greeed.

His WhamEpisode note that he cannot forgive his sister for leaving him and so he killed her to preserve the image of her as a kind sister in his memory, as he live by the doctrine of how people are completed through death in similar way to how a story ended. Over the years it eventually became an example of BelievingTheirOwnLies, however his interaction with Chiyoko reminded him that his sister wasn’t always the kind sister he originally believe. In the end he came to conclusion just like how his sister become “ugly”, in the end the world too will eventually suffers similar fate and so the world must be destroyed while its still beautiful to preserve its beauty, and before Chiyoko too became ugly just like his sister.
