->''"Just like how I was chosen to become 'Kizuna Red', there has to be some reason I was sent to this world. 'Til I find the reason I was sent here, I won't go back. Well, I don't know how to get back anyway! So if I can rescue people who need help and go on adventures at the same time, I'll be sure to find my reason for being here and how to get home!"''

The leader of the Kizuna Five, a {{Sentai}} team that fought back against the nefarious Relationship Enders to save humanity from their wrath. After giving his life to defeat the Breakup King once and for all, he finds himself unharmed in a world of magic and chivalry. While searching for a way home, he discovers that this world is plagued with the many of the same problems as his own world. And so he vows to protect the innocent and help anyone he can as an adventurer until running into Idora Arvoln, who hires him to help her with her magical research.
----
* AbnormalAmmo: [[spoiler:His Burning Blood form comes equipped with the Variable Ballista, a wrist-mounted bow that's used to perform the Ar-Charge, a technique that allows him to launch ''himself'' at blinding speed.]]
* AccidentalMisnaming: Red misnames Poseidon repeatedly, first calling him "[[WesternAnimation/TheLittleMermaid1989 Sebastian]]" and later "[[Franchise/UltraSeries Telesdon]]" despite being corrected the first time.
* AccidentalPervert:
** [[ShipperOnDeck Teltina]] purposefully neglects to tell Red that Idora is still using the hot springs as he prepares to take a dip in them himself. Both Red and Idora are horribly embarrassed by the affair.
** Idora accidentally activates Red's Emergency Kizuna Warp by thinking about him while holding mana metal. She also happens to be in the bath at the time. Cue screaming as Red fumbles to get out of the bath. Afterwards, Idora performs a "thorough examination" of him to try and determine the connection between him, mana metal, and Kizuna Energy, giving him an eyeful of her breasts since she's wearing nothing but a bathrobe at the time.
* ActionHero: Red's typical solution to solving his problems is to beat up the bad guy causing them. After all, he's a sentai hero. He rarely needed to do anything else to save the day.
* AesopAmnesia: PlayedForLaughs. After Red triumphantly declares that people should always try new things no matter how bad they are at them, Idora asks if he's willing to challenge his own [[AfraidOfNeedles fear of needles]]. By the time she turns around, Red is already striking his transformation pose and the guild explodes as he flees for the hills.
-->'''Idora:''' Hold on just a second! If you always run away form things you're bad at, you'll never grow, right?!\
'''Red:''' That's that and this is this!! Bond Armor-CHANGE! ''[guild explodes]''\
'''Guild Manager:''' [[BrickJoke You two! Do that stuff outside!]]
* AfraidOfNeedles: Red will face down any monster or threat with gusto to protect the weak and helpless. He doesn't fear death and won't hesitate to make a HeroicSacrifice if it means his friends make it out alive. But he hates needles so much that he'd rather use his TransformationSequence to make the guild explode than take an injection.
-->'''Red:''' ''[uncharacteristically meek]'' Please... anything but a shot!!\
'''Idora:''' Are you kidding me? Where's all that manliness you were showing when you protected me in spite of the giant gash in your back?\
'''Red:''' I can prepare myself and endure the pain of a battle, but shots are a completely different story!
* AllLovingHero: He strongly believes that people can overcome their differences through bonding together. Even after [[spoiler:Rosie betrays him and tries to get him killed]], Red easily finds it in his heart to forgive him (albeit, while running off the wrong idea). Then it's subverted when it's revealed that there are people even Red is reluctant to get along with, such as [[spoiler:Professor Betrayis, who was transported to Idora's world a thousand years prior and has somehow extended his lifespan to the present day.]]
* AscendedFanboy: Implied. According to Red, performing a TransformationSequence is something that every man longs for in his heart. He was so excited to do it for the first time that something happened to all of his blood vessels at once, though he's cut off before he can describe exactly what happened.
* AudienceSurrogate: Although he spent six months in the fantasy world before meeting Idora, many concepts still need to be explained to him, especially when magic is involved, introducing them to the reader at the same time.
* AwesomeButImpractical: The Maximum Kizuna Kaiser is perfect for taking on a huge monster after a MakeMyMonsterGrow sequence... not so great against anything else. It's too big to use anywhere except a wide open field and its size makes it cumbersome to use against a small opponent of equal strength. On top of that, it can't run at full power because Red doesn't have the rest of the Kizuna Five with him to keep it charged, limiting the amount of time he can use it and leaving him exhausted powering it all by himself. Even after he gets other people in the cockpit with him, he's the only one in his party who knows how to pilot a robot meant for five people, leaving him struggling to control all of its functions on his own.
* BadassNormal: Downplayed. Idora notes that Red's body has the same composition as any other human in her world. Despite this, he's capable of nigh-superhuman feats of strength even without transforming, tackling Idora's golem through a window and later throwing a DivingKick into a monster. But against truly serious threats he has to transform as a HenshinHero.
* BecauseDestinySaysSo: He fully expected to die finishing off the Breakup King, but instead finds himself in Idora's world. He believes that there's a reason he was sent here and vows to figure out what that reason is before searching for a way home. After meeting Idora and surviving the dragon together, Red becomes convinced that fate brought them together and swears to help her achieve her dreams. [[spoiler:It's implied that the reason he believes so strongly in fate is because his friend, Kizuna Silver, was a perfectly accurate clairvoyant who predicted her death TakingTheBullet for him despite their attempts at trying to invoke ScrewDestiny.]]
* BerserkerTears: [[spoiler:Red is shedding these the entire time he's transformed into Kizuna Black, as it channels his obsession with bonds, his despair and his fear of loss into power he hopes will protect his loved ones.]]
* BewareTheSillyOnes: Red's HotBlooded and cheery, [[LoveFreak bond-loving]] personality make it easy for him to get all sorts of silly hijinks that drive Idora and Rosie nuts. It's easy to forget that he's more than a match for all but the strongest fighters in Idora's world.
* {{BFG}}: The Victory Kizuna Buster is a massive cannon as large as Red is. It runs on the power of the bonds of the wielders and can only be used at full power when its users put aside their differences and work toward a single goal.
* BodyguardingABadass: Red is officially hired as a bodyguard for Idora while she conducts her research. While he's much stronger than her in a straight fight and far more experienced, Idora is quite strong herself and can hold her own in a fight against high-level monsters despite only recently becoming an adventurer.
* BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine: Red is the Boke to everyone else's Straight Man as they react to his StockShonenHero antics and strange weapons from another world while explaining concepts to him. Idora is the most frequent foil to Red, and she's shocked when Misty barely shows any reaction to Red's TransformationSequence.
-->'''Red:''' ''[after getting a lengthy explanation about mana-metal]'' In other words, you're trying to protect the bond between magic and man!\
'''Idora:''' Well, I guess you could think of it that way.
* BookDumb: Red isn't the brightest guy and the scenes of his life flashing before his eyes show him struggling to study. Despite this, he's a capable warrior and trope-savvy due to his adventures as the Red Ranger. He also comes with clever (and crazy) solutions to some of his problems that even Idora can't come up with, such as dealing with Conrad's FountainOfYouth power by using the Bond Energy to forcibly rebuild himself into an adult again.
* BroughtDownToBadass: When Red first arrived in Idora's world, he was completely unable to transform because he didn't have any bonds with anyone there, resulting in him running out of Kizuna Energy. He still manages to beat up monsters that are a struggle for veteran adventurers to fight with his bare hands until Amber's party runs into the boss monster, Orthros, who proceeds to ragdoll Red while he was trying to transform.
* BrokenAce: Red is an absolute powerhouse in a fight is also an [[IdealHero brave young man who is willing to put his life on the line to protect the innocent and beat the bad guys]]. However, he's got well-hidden, deep-seated issues related to abandonment, explaining his obsession with bonds [[spoiler: which leads to his darker form: the Warrior of Deep Obsession]].
* BunnyEarsLawyer: While Red's HotBlooded StockShonenHero personality wouldn't be out of place in his own world, his obsession with bonds and constantly happy-go-lucky view on life makes him a weirdo to the people of Idora's world. Of course, he's still Kizuna Red, a OneManArmy who treats high-level monsters like small fry.
* BuxomBeautyStandard: Red prefers beautiful girls with large breasts. His teammates even lampshade it.
* ByThePowerOfGrayskull: Red always has to slot his Bond Plate into his his Bond Brace and pose while shouting "Henshin! Bond Armor-CHANGE!" to transform into Kizuna Red. The actual activation phrase is followed by, "Burning brightly! The Warrior of Feverish Friendship! Kizuna Red!"
* CallingYourAttacks:
** As one would expect from a Red Ranger, Red ''always'' calls his best attacks, all of them relationship-themed in some way, like his [[MegatonPunch Burning Kizuna Punch]] and his [[DivingKick Burning Kizuna Kick]]. Some of them are a little less conventionally named...
--->'''Red:''' Marriage Shot! Lovers' Snipe!
** Red winds up in a 1-on-1 duel with Azir after [[spoiler:the latter defeated Raniya and stole her TransformationTrinket]]. The resulting battle is filled with the cacophany of both fighters calling their attacks. Lampshaded by Idora, who has to cover her ears because of how loud the two fighters are.
--->'''Idora:''' It's so noisy...
* CannotKeepASecret: DoubleSubverted. Red says that he tried to keep his SecretIdentity a top secret back in his world. Idora is flabbergasted at the thought of someone as straightforward as Red keeping a secret that important, only for Red to cheerfully admit that he was exposed a week after becoming a ranger.
* CharacterCatchphrase: As a {{Toku}} hero whose powers literally run on ThePowerOfFriendship, Red is prone to inserting the words "bond" and "friendship" into the conversation whenever possible even when it makes barely any sense. He also ends fights with "Our bond wins!"
* ChasteHero: Subverted. Despite being ObliviousToLove, he still is capable of noticing how beautiful Idora is. It's revealed that he [[LoveAtFirstSight fell in love with Kizuna Silver at first sight]] [[spoiler:and is still hurting after she sacrificed herself to save him.]] It's later revealed that [[spoiler:he fell in love with Idora around the same time that she fell in love with him, but is so scared of loss and being responsible for another person's death that he talked himself into believing that he only saw her as a friend.]]
* ChestBlaster: The Maximum Kizuna Blaster is a laser cannon in the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser's chest that fires a WaveMotionGun powerful enough to completely vaporize half of a dragon's body and keep going. This beam's range is long enough to be seen from huge distances. He later proposes using it to vaporize Lurguat's mansion, but Idora and Teltina point out that the resulting explosion would wipe out Akarina along with it.
* TheChosenOne:
** Red's coming was foretold by the prophet that traveled with the Hero who sealed away the Demon Queen a thousand years ago. Said prophet assured the Sun Elves that a "red warrior from another dimension" would deliver them from a great disaster that would befall their village.
** Later on, it's revealed that Red's Big Bond Soul is the reason why only he can defeat the Demon Queen. [[spoiler:She, the Breakup King, and the Undead King are all of a species capable of disrupting the cycle of reincarnation and can simply perform a GrandTheftMe if they're ever killed because their soul and memories will remain intact. Only Red's soul can forcibly return them into the cycle of reincarnation, wiping their memories and powers after their defeats and preventing them from returning.]]
* ChronicHeroSyndrome: As expected of a StockShonenHero, Red will help anyone in need without a second thought. Others around him are alarmed by how readily he agrees to aid people.
-->'''Raniya:''' I know we just met... and it's not something one should ask of another race... But... won't you please help us?\
'''Red:''' ''[immediately]'' Okay! Sounds good!\
'''Raniya:''' Y-You agreed that fast!?\
'''Red:''' If there's people in need, there's no question about it. I'll help!! Whether we're different races or we only met one second ago doesn't matter!
* ChickMagnet: Red's optimism, unflagging support for Idora, and tendency to make the impossible seem possible quickly earns her affections without him even thinking about dating her. [[spoiler:Chapter 14 reveals that at least two members of the Kizuna Five expressed interest in him and he considers Kizuna Silver to be TheLostLenore, with her death being his greatest failure.]]
* ClothingDamage: The right arm of Red's ranger uniform is ripped off and the visor of his mask is shattered by the time he defeats the Breakup King. It's fixed by the time he lands headfirst in another world. His jacket is later shredded by a dragon while pulling a DivingSave to rescue Idora, but it's perfectly fine a few days later.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Red's {{toku}} hero sensibilities and unwavering belief in ThePowerOfFriendship to the point of being a LoveFreak makes him come across as airheaded and bizarre to the denizens of Idora's world. He's easily sidetracked by his desire to bond with others, sometimes struggles to read the room, and approaches everything with HotBlooded candor.
* CombinedEnergyAttack: All of Red's most powerful weapons, such as the Victory Kizuna Buster and the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser, run on ThePowerOfFriendship between him and his allies. He can't even pull out the Kizuna Beasts if he doesn't have a bond with at least one person, even if he's only known them for a day or less. If he runs out of Kizuna Energy, he can be recharged by people overcoming their differences and lending their power to him and his weapons.
* CombiningMecha: The Maximum Kizuna Kaiser is formed from the Kizuna Beasts of all the Kizuna Five.
* CommonalityConnection:
** Red bonds with Teltina over [[HeroicSacrifice their willingness to sacrifice themselves for the sake of others]] and knowledge that there are things only they can do to help others.
** Red manages to talk down Conrad by explaining his own nerdy love of toys to the point of being ridiculed for it back in his world. Red believes that Conrad can strive toward a world not unlike his own where children and adults alike can express their appreciation for toys without judgement.
* CovertPervert: In spite of his usual behavior, Red is still very much a hormonal teenage boy. He has a preference for large breasts and Teltina later reveals that he steals glances at Idora's and Raniya's chests much to his embarrassment. [[spoiler:A recording left by Silver also reveals that Red kept glancing at her own chest every 5 seconds whenever they talked to each other.]] Later on, he openly calls her and her outfit extremely sexy [[spoiler:after he and Idola confess their feelings for one another and unlock a new Bond Armor for Red in the process.]]
* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: [[spoiler:He has a second Bond Plate that he hopes to never use again, but is forced to when he's critically injured by Abu Dhabi and Vidan. This plate unleashes his SuperpoweredEvilSide, the Warrior of Deep Obsession, Kizuna Black. This form is so dangerous that he's not sure if he'll come back from using it, begging his friends to stop him even if it kills him. After he defeats Abu Dhabi and Vidan with it, Red goes utterly berserk, forcing Rosie to take a severe shoulder injury to tear the Black Bond Plate out of Red's Bond Gear.]]
* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler:It's revealed in Chapter 14 that Red is an orphan who lost his parents in a car accident when he was still a young child. His remaining family and their friends refused to look after him on account of the costs of raising him, leaving Red with extreme abandonment issues and fear of loss. It's also revealed Kizuna Silver died protecting him against the Breakup King's forces back when he was still on Earth. [[ItsAllMyFault He feels responsible for making her premonition of her death come true by convincing her to join the Kizuna Five.]]]]
* DavidVsGoliath: Red is the Goliath when he pulls out the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser to take on Rosie, but soon finds that it's simply too big to properly aim at and hit a much smaller target. Meanwhile, Rosie is strong enough push the HumongousMecha back, and is only defeated when Red uses the Great Kizuna Sword to blow Rosie away. SuperStrength or not, something his size will be sent flying when confronted with hurricane-force winds.
* DeclarationOfProtection: Red promises to protect Idora and her dream of making everyone happy when they're cornered by the dragon hoarding all the mana-metal. [[BlackComedy He almost kills her immediately afterward]] with his TransformationSequence, which she lampshades.
-->'''Red:''' Idora! I told you didn't I? I've fallen for your dream. One day you'll definitely achieve it, and bring a smile to everyone's faces! It's an amazing dream! That's why, protecting you and your dreams is my duty!
* DefeatEqualsFriendship:
** Red's weapons seem to be designed with this in mind, given how they're named after acts of peacemaking and love (i.e. his Cooperation-Calibur) even if the monsters on the other end don't feel it. Even his HumongousMecha's proportionately-sized {{BFS}} is inscribed to look like a Band-Aid. Sure enough, Rosie begins to begrudgingly respect Red for his abilities after he sends Rosie [[TwinkleInTheSky flying into the distance]], and Red suspects that they'll become great friends based on his past experience with people like Rosie.
** When Raniya declares her resolve to defeat her EvilFormerFriend Azir, Red says that's the perfect opporunity to reconcile. Raniya is baffled by Red and initially wonders if he's even listening to her, as there's no way things can just go back to the way they were now that she and Azir are enemies. But Red says that's how they can form an even stronger bond once they're able to sit down and talk, citing his own experiences after he was forced to [[FightingYourFriend fight his best friend]] whom he loves like a brother after said friend was [[ForcedTransformation transformed into a monster]].
* DestructiveSaviour:
** Red's powers make him a OneManArmy on the battlefield, but his tendency to make stuff explode ruins all the drop items from the monsters he defeats. Because of this, he's never able to fulfill any quests to make money and no one wants to party with him out of fear for their paychecks. He also nearly kills Idora while trying to protect her as she's nearly caught in the explosion of his TransformationSequence. Teltina lampshades what a PersonOfMassDestruction he is, calling him far more dangerous than any of the monsters produced by the Seeds of Magic if left unchecked.
** When faced with a monster with complete control over a city, Red proposes using the Kizuna Kaiser to obliterate it from a distance. Idora and Teltina point out that this would also leave the city in ruins. He then proposes having the Kaiser stomp all over the mansion, but the girls again point out that the shockwaves would still turn the city to rubble.
** [[spoiler:After Red completely loses himself to the Black Bond Plate, Rosie has to stop him from destroying the Sun Village following Red's CurbStompBattle over Abu Dhabi and Vidan]]
* DestructiveTeleportation: The Emergency Kizuna Warp function of Red's TransformationTrinket works by using Kizuna Energy to break the user's body down into atoms and instantly reform them next to a person he has a strong bond with. Idora lampshades how terrifying that sounds after accidentally triggering it through the use of mana metal. Idora then fashions a bracelet that allows her to summon Red to her side at any time.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: Red still acts and fights like he's on a Sunday morning TV show. Because of this, he's constantly destroying the valuable drop items he should be getting from monsters, summons the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser in situations it isn't suited for (i.e. in a cave), though admittedly he was prompted to do that by Idora, or against a human-sized target and sends Rosie flying with the Great Kizuna Sword before realizing that Rosie would probably die from being thrown such a distance.
* DoNotCallMeSir: Raniya tries to call Red "Lord Legendary Red Warrior", but Red asks her to stop and just call him Red.
* DivingKick: His Burning Kizuna Kick is a flying kick whose speed is boosted by his Turbo-Engine.
* DoubleWeapon: Red's Cooperation-Calibur is a double-bladed sword whose handle is shaped like two hands clasped together in friendship. He can also split it back into tis component swords for DualWielding.
* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: [[spoiler:A seven-year-old Red had eyes completely devoid of life at his parent's funeral after everyone else left while muttering about how they can't afford to take care of him. In that moment, he realized just how alone he was, beginning his obsession with bonding with others to soothe the pain in his heart.]]
* DynamicEntry:
** Red meets Idora by tackling her golem through a wall and window of her mansion. He also brings Idora to the Ruins of Wakenark by using his Turbo Engine to send them flying there, punching straight through multiple flying monsters in the process and leaving Idora covered in viscera and feathers.
** He also performs a DivingKick to rescue Rosie and Teltina from Lurguat's monsters.
* ElementalHairColors: Red's flaming red hair and eyes match his preferred element of fire, which mainly manifests in making stuff explode.
* ElementalPersonalities: Red is the Red Ranger and the leader of the Kizuna Five. As such, he possesses the typical HotBlooded personality expected of one as well as the fire-based powers. [[spoiler:But his passion is also associated with all-consuming obsession. This is exemplified by his SuperpoweredEvilSide, Kizuna Black, which draws on his despair and desperation to save the people he loves to produce frightening powers. But this same function can drive him berserk and turn him against the people he's trying to save, making him a "jet-black inferno that burns everything to cinders".]]
* ElementalPunch: His punches and kicks are accompanied by trails of fire from his costume to boost their speed and power as well as engulf anything he hits in flames.
* EmbarrassingButEmpoweringOutfit: Downplayed. Red's Kizuna Red uniform lets him tap into his full power and is typical sentai fare. He's shocked when Idora calls it weird and tacky, as the kids loved it back in his world. Idora mutters that they must have been brainwashed to think such a strange outfit is cool. Rosie also calls Red a clown for donning such an eccentric costume.
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: Togo prefers to have others simply call him by his Ranger name, Red. He's actually a little disappointed that Rosie still addresses him by his full name. [[spoiler:This is because he felt unworthy as the "man" Togo due to his many personal tragedies, particularly his failure to prevent Silver's fate. By presenting himself as "Red", he wanted to present himself as an IdealHero while also trying to prevent further heartbreak by not acting on the feelings that "Togo" has for Idora.]]
* ExperiencedProtagonist: Zigzagged. Red is a sentai hero who defeated the BigBad before being transported to Idora's world. Because of this, he's already a OneManArmy with all of his [[MidSeasonUpgrade Mid-Season Upgrades]], but he's completely lost in the world he finds himself in and needs Idora to guide him through everything.
* ExplosivePunch: Red's Burning Kizuna Punch causes an explosion wherever he hits. While helpful for killing monsters, the heat and explosive force incinerate the drop items he'd normally get, leaving him in PerpetualPoverty.
* FemaleGaze: His butt features prominently at the end of Chapter 22, and Idora reveals she's ''very'' appreciative of how his costume emphasizes that particular part of his body.
* FieryRedhead: Red has a head of spiky red hair and is extremely HotBlooded about everything.
* FireIsMasculine: Red is a StockShonenHero brimming with HotBlooded passion. He's tall, muscular, and is able to make nearly anything explode by punching or kicking it.
* FishOutOfWater: Red is a HenshinHero currently residing in a fantasy medieval {{Magitek}} world.
* {{Foil}}:
** Red is this to Idora. They're both kind and powerful people who want to make the world a better place. But while Idora is a genius magician who is snobby, manipulative, and conniving, Red is a StockShonenHero who's BookDumb, obsessed with bonds, and tends to brute force his way through most problems.
** Red is also this to Rosie. Both of them are extremely passionate and powerful warriors who use fire. But while Red is cheerful and openly friendly to everyone, Rosie is obsessed with Teltina and a CrazyJealousGuy who is openly spiteful toward anyone who would interrupt his alone time with her. [[spoiler:They both have deeply troubled pasts that define who they are in the present. While Rosie is obsessed with protecting Teltina, whom he's in love with, from harm, Red is obsessed with protecting everyone from harm ''because'' he's lost people dear to him, including his FirstLove.]]
* FriendToAllChildren:
** Red is immensely popular with kids in his world, who gather around him and want to play with him while gushing about how cool he is. To his dismay, Idora can hardly believe kids would like someone wearing such a weird uniform.
** He gets a lesson in what Idora means later on, when the party comes across a group of orphans. The kids quickly latch onto the others, all of whom are familar archetypes to them (the wizard, the princess, the hero), but they have no idea what to make of [[GenreRefugee Red]]. When he attempts to demonstrate his Sentai credentials, some of the kids back away in fear while the others wonder why his costume uses so much red. When they move on to noting how his costume emphasizes his butt and decide to call him "Masked Big Booty" because they can't remember his name, [[CornerOfWoe he takes to sitting outside alone]].
* GenreRefugee: Red's non-magical abilities baffle and bewilder Idora, and Red still acts like he's on a {{Toku}} show, completely lacking any kind of subtlety and approaching everything with his HotBlooded candor. This has its ups and downs, as while his perpetual optimism and ChronicHeroSyndrome brings out the best in others, his lack of decorum and his overly destructive powers can create as many problems as he solves if Idora doesn't rein him in.
* GratuitousEnglish: Several of his weapons and attacks are named with a mixture of English and Japanese or just plain English, most notably his Maximum Kizuna Kaiser and its Maximum Kizuna Blaster.
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: Red is a capable hand-to-hand fighter who is also an expert at using his Cooperation-Calibur, while Idora prefers to stand back and shoot magic. Also downplayed, as Red can summon numerous energy guns at will.
* HappilyAdopted: Downplayed. Red is revealed to have lost his parents at an early age and was eventually taken in by another family. While he grimaces at how his adoptive sister used to tease him for his toy-collecting hobby, he still thinks about her fondly despite her treating him "coldly" for said hobby.
* HatesBeingAlone: In a flashback, Kizuna Silver remarks that a "warrior of bonds" like Red must hate being alone, hence why he's so gung-ho about making friends and forging bonds with everyone he meets. [[spoiler:Later chapters reveal that Red's obsession with bonds goes much further than that. Red developed severe abandonment issues after being orphaned in a car accident at a young age and left to fend for himself by his surviving family. This trauma is only compounded when he fails to ScrewDestiny and Silver dies protecting him just as she predicted. His fixation on making friends is a coping mechanism to patch the gaping hole in his heart caused by his loss and fear of being alone.]]
* HasAType: Idora and Kizuna Silver, his two official love interests, are both brash women with [[BuxomBeautyStandard big breasts]].
* HavingABlast: Everything behind Red will explode as part of his TransformationSequence, and his Burning Kizuna Punch will also make things explode even if nothing inside them is prone to detonating.
* HenshinHero: Of the Super Sentai variety. Red is a sentai hero through and through, so naturally he transforms into Kizuna Red when it's time to fight. [[spoiler:But when Rosie steals his Bond Plate before the fight with the second Seed of Magic -empowered monster, Red is at the monster's mercy without his full power.]]
* HeroesPreferSwords: When he's not punching something to make it explode, his most commonly used weapon is the Cooperation-Calibur, a DoubleWeapon he's skilled enough to use with one hand while holding Idora in the other. The Maximum Kizuna Kaiser also possesses a proportionally-sized {{BFS}} called the Great Kizuna Sword.
* HeroicBuild: The page where Red is falling after defeating the Breakup King as his life flashes before his eyes shows that he's muscular beneath his clothes. He's also rather tall for a Japanese high schooler, standing at 185 cm, or about 6 feet tall.
* HeroicSacrifice: Red seemingly dies in the opening of the story while finishing up the Breakup King, only to land in Idora's world instead. He attempts this again after running out of kizuna energy to keep fighting, telling Idora to run while he holds the monster off. She scolds him for this, [[StupidSacrifice pointing out what a stupid idea that is]] considering she has [[HealingHands healing magic]].
* HeroicSecondWind: Red is knocked out of the fight while battling a monster created from a Seed of Magic due to using up too much energy from his failed uses of the Kizuna Kaiser and Victory Kizuna Buster. Thanks to the bickering adventurers putting aside their differences and Idora's healing magic, Red is recharged enough to transform again and finish the fight with a successful Victory Kizuna Buster shot.
* HeroicSpirit: According to Red, he can keep fighting as long as it takes to defend his friends through the power of his bonds, continuing to fight even after expending a lot of energy fending off Lurguat.
-->'''Red:''' If it's to protect my friends, I can fight beyond my limits! That is the power of bonds!
* HotBlooded: YES. Red approaches almost everything in life with zeal and enthusiasm. Almost nothing is able to get him down and he's never not shouting at the top of his lungs as he rushes off to do some other improbable thing. His eyes even light up with fire when he's especially excited.
-->'''Idora:''' [[LampshadeHanging Ugh, everything about you is suffocating.]]
* HumongousMecha: Red is able to summon his and his friends' Kizuna Beasts to create Maximum Kizuna Kaiser, an enormous robot capable of incredible feats of strength. Unfortunately, it's so huge that it's only useful in wide-open spaces and against {{Kaiju}}-sized enemies. And as chapter 3 has proven, it's definitely not meant for fighting human opponents, [[BlownAcrossTheRoom as Rosie learned the hard way]].
* {{Hypocrite}}: Teltina's ArmorPiercingQuestion for Red points out that he left to face the Breakup King alone despite his pride as a "warrior of bonds" and belief that bonds can overcome anything. Rather than reprimand him for it, she feels the same way, as she'd gladly sacrifice herself if it meant her friends and loved ones would be kept safe.
* HypocriticalHumor:
** He proudly declares that people can challenge anything, even their own hatred and insecurities, if they put their mind to it. But when Idora tries to get him to challenge his own hatred of needles for the sake of her research, he immediately high-tails it out of there.
** He calls Teltina and Rosie strange for their unique relationship (a BodyguardCrush suffering from AllLoveIsUnrequited). This earns him a dead-eyed stare of disbelief from Idora, given that he's ''way'' weirder than they could ever be.
* IdealHero: Red is effortlessly kind and considerate of others, mistaking Idora's golem for some kind of kidnapper and "rescuing" the two adventurers it was carrying out the door. Despite nearly dying and being TrappedInAnotherWorld, he places finding a way home second to figuring out why he was sent here and making the world a better place. [[spoiler:Chapter 14 reveals that Red is a subversion, as while his altruism and kindness is genuine, it's also a desperate attempt to grapple with his deep-seated trauma and desire to belong after he was orphaned in a car accident and left utterly alone with no one to care for him.]]
* IdiotHair: Red has a cowlick going backwards in his ShonenHair and he's not exactly a genius despite his badass credentials as a {{Toku}} hero.
* IGaveMyWord: According to him, a man never goes back on his word. He intends to make good on every promise he makes, whether it's making a DeclarationOfProtection or insisting that he's more than capable enough to accompany Teltina on her quest to destroy the Seeds of Magic.
* ILetGwenStacyDie: [[spoiler:After Rosie is incapacitated TakingTheBullet for Red, Abu Dhabi's EvilGloating about how everyone is going to die for the sake of the Demon Queen's revival triggers a horrible memory for Red when he failed to save someone. The sheer anguish he experiences is enough to send Red into an UnstoppableRage while swearing to never let anyone die in front of him again. Chapter 14 reveals that Kizuna Silver died saving his life, having foreseen her death well in advance. This, combined with his trauma from losing his parents at an early age, is the reason he's so obsessed with forming bonds with others and terrified of losing said bonds, serving as bandaids for the gaping hole in his heart left by their deaths.]]
* ImmortalBreaker: [[spoiler: Red's Big Bond Soul is capable of binding [[ResurrectiveImmortality immortals]] like the Breakup King and Demon Queen to the cycle of reincarnation, wiping away their memories and powers while sending them to the next world.]]
* InASingleBound: Red can leap 30 meters as Kizuna Red, and can leap even further and faster with the help of his Turbo Engine, covering a half day's travel by wyvern in two hours. During this time, he's moving so fast that he doesn't even notice that he flew right through three giant flying monsters, covering Idora in their guts.
* InconsistentColoring: Red's hair color varies between the artist's official illustrations. While [[https://twitter.com/nakayos_koyos/status/1381435310706323458 most illustrations]] [[https://twitter.com/nakayos_koyos/status/1422391995981463560 give him red hair]], at least [[https://imgur.com/a/eYGVova one illustration gives him black hair]].
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Red wears his heart on his sleeve and never has any reservations about speaking his mind. Because of this, he tends to say things without thinking about how it could sound, proudly announcing that he defeated the Seed of Magic monster with his team's Victory Kizuna Buster despite how confusing that is. His forwardness also clashes with the strict social hierarchies of the fantasy world, and Rosie wants to kill Red for his constant lack of decorum towards Teltina (even though she's fine with it).
* ItRunsOnNonsensoleum: According to Red himself, his powers run on [[ThePowerOfFriendship "Kizuna Energy"]] produced by his bonds with others. To Idora's frustration, it's incredibly vague and wishy-washy. So long as he's been introduced to someone and knows what motivates them, he considers it a bond and they're eligible to help him use his strongest moves and weapons, but the amount of power produced doesn't follow any kind of constants or rules. Lampshaded by Idora, who complains that it's full of loopholes in the way it decides what is and isn't a bond.
* KnightErrant: Red went to both ends of the world while trying to find a way home before realizing that this fantasy world has many of the same struggles as his own world. Because of this, he started travelling from place to place, helping everyone he could while raising his adventurer rank to figure out why he was sent here.
* LightningBruiser: Red can run at speeds of 33 m/s, punch with 20 tons of force, and take almost as much damage as he can dish out while transformed.
* LimitedWardrobe: Red arrived in Idora's world with only the clothes on his back and his transformation bracelet. He doesn't have the funds to get any new clothes, so he's always seen wearing what he had before coming to Idora's world. But the early pages showing his memories has him wear the same clothes in nearly every scene aside from one where he's wearing his school uniform over it.
* LoveAtFirstSight: He was head over heels for Tenri Nikaidou, Kizuna Silver, at first sight. He's left in StunnedSilence when he meets her face to face, and he has [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial to deny his attraction to the other members of the Kizuna Five]] with a clear blush on his face.
* LoveFreak:
** Well, bond freak. Red is a HenshinHero who runs on ThePowerOfFriendship, so he believes that any problem can be solved with the power of the bonds between people. He inserts "bond" and "friendship" in his sentences whenever possible, and his response to any crisis to tell others to believe in the power of his bonds with them to help him charge up enough Kizuna Energy to spectacularly win the fight. Lampshaded by Idora, who is surprised that he doesn't talk about bonds after she offers to help him find a way home.
** When the party arrives in Akarina, they're stunned to find that it's a ghost town where the streets are completely empty and no one is talking to each other despite its reputation as a bustling city. Red is so stunned by this that he [[SkewedPriorities makes it his mission to bond with every single person living there]] until Idora reminds him that they're looking for information on the Seeds of Magic.
* MagicallyIneptFighter: He comes from a world where magic doesn't exist, so magic-powered items like his guild tag baffle him since he doesn't have any magic to make it work.
* MagneticHero: Red's optimism and kindness is infectious, and the aloof Idora soon finds herself feeling attached to him for how thoroughly supportive he is of her dreams. He also quickly finds common ground with Teltina, who is able to relax and laugh around him in a way she never could with Rosie. He gets along with most people so easily that his friends are alarmed to learn that [[EvenTheLovingHeroHasHatedOnes there are people even he is reluctant to try and get along with.]]
* ManlyTears: Red is moved to tears when Idora promises to help him return to his world as part of achieving her dream of making the world a better place through magic. He even declares it must have been destiny that brought them together, embarrassing her with what sounds like a LoveConfession.
* MeaningfulName: Red's parents named him "Togo" using the characters for "light" and "enlightenment" in hopes that he'd make lots of friends by understanding their hearts and that he'd live a long, happy life. Red acts as the nearly fearless leader of the Kizuna Five, helping to save and inspire people every day with his HotBlooded charisma. He hopes to make a trillion friends one day and is fixated on bonding with as many people as possible. [[spoiler:This fixation is revealed to be an obsession born from his abandonment issues after he was orphaned at an early age.]]
* MundaneUtility: Most of Red's weapons have a band-aid motif that he uses to great effect, such as shooting giant band-aids as projectiles to bind enemies in place. But Red can also produce normal-sized band-aids with his Bond Gear, letting him treat and sanitize minor wounds like cuts and pricks.
* MyLifeFlashedBeforeMyEyes:
** All of Red's memories of his friends flash before his eyes after defeating the Breakup King. The reel is cut short when he hits his head and sits up in Idora's world.
** He has another one when he's knocked into a river by Lurguat's monsters [[spoiler:after Rosie stole his Bond Plate.]] In this flashback, he sees Kizuna Silver discussing his drive to forge bonds with others before Idora manages to resuscitate him.
* NextTierPowerUp: [[spoiler:With the help of Idora's love for him soothing the deep-rooted pain in his heart, Red is able to finally master the power of Kizuna Black and use the emotions that fueled it to create an entirely new transformation: The Warrior of Passion, Kizuna Red: Burning Blood. While Burning Blood lacks the versatility and range of Kizuna Black's bandages, it makes up for it with sheer speed and power, best shown when Red's Ar-Charge completely overwhelms Bad End despite the latter having transformed into Kizuna Black.]]
* NiceGuy: Like most Red Sentai, Red's a big-hearted and outgoing person who always has good things to say about others.
* NoBadassToHisValet: Red is officially hired by Idora to help her, and despite being vastly more powerful than her, his quirks and HotBlooded personality get her to pull her hair out and insult him when he's driving her nuts. She can also boss him around when needed, particularly when conversations require a more delicate touch. For the most part, Red takes this in stride, only showing mild confusion when she calls his uniform weird.
* NoIndoorVoice: Red gets excited easily, so much of his dialogue is in starburst speech bubbles to emphasize how he's shouting all the time. Flashbacks show that his friends are surprised when he ''isn't'' making a lot of noise.
* ObliviousToLove: Red's passionate speeches and shouting about how it must be destiny that he met Idora could easily be interpreted as flirting or a LoveConfession, giving her a LuminescentBlush. Red seems to be oblivious to this though, as he merely asks if she's okay after seeing her redden like this. [[spoiler:Subverted when flashbacks reveal that he developed a crush on Kizuna Silver at first sight. The recording Silver left for him in the Sun Forest also reveals his CovertPervert tendencies. Further subverted in Chapter 30, where it's revealed that he's been in love with Idora for a while, but the trauma of losing Silver led him to believe that he's unworthy of love, causing him to fool himself into believing that he only cared for her as a friend. The first thing he does upon transforming into Kizuna Red: Burning Blood is hugging Idora and passionately declaring his love for her.]]
* OhCrap: [[spoiler:This is his reaction when his Bond Plate goes missing, leaving him unable to transform and at the mercy of Lurguat's monsters.]]
* OneHeadTaller: Idora only comes up to Red's chest, and the two of them are the focus of the story.
* OneManArmy: Due to his adventures as Kizuna Red, Red is comfortable with taking on entire armies of enemies, as it's natural for Rangers to be surrounded. Even the high-level monsters at the Ruins of Wakenark are nothing more than small-fry to him.
* OneWayVisor: Red's helmet features a visor he can see through but others can't, though the art sometimes lets us see his eyes so we can make out his facial expressions.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness:
** While Red knows when to get serious and can't tolerate injustice, he's normally able to maintain a stiff upper lip even in the worst of times. So it's startling when his rage boils over after Abu Dhabi gloats about how everyone will die at his hands. [[spoiler:When Red talks to Rosie over the latter TakingTheBullet for him, Red starts off cheerful and thanks Rosie for saving him. But Red's next speech bubble is color-inverted from the norm, black with white text, while he quietly begs Rosie not to do that ever again. The discrepancy is so jarring that Rosie can hardly recognize it as Red's voice.]]
** [[spoiler:When he's forced to use his DangerousForbiddenTechnique and become Kizuna Black after he's critically injured by Abu Dhabi and Vidan, he begs his friends to stop him even if it means killing him. His speech bubble is scratched and scraggly to emphasize Red's deadly seriousness.]]
** Red's cheery, outgoing personality goes right out the window when the topic of his ArchEnemy, Professor Betrayis, comes up in conversation. While Red was able to find at least some common ground with the other Relationship Enders, Betrayis' sociopathy, pettiness, and viciousness consistently get under Red's skin. His friends are alarmed to learn that there are people that [[EvenTheLovingHeroHasHatedOnes even Red won't try to get along with]], [[spoiler:and he spends as much time as he can trying to deny the possibility that he'll have to work with Betrayis despite the evidence to the contrary.]]
* {{Otaku}}: Back in his world, Red has a habit of collecting toys that came with certain brands of snacks, going so far as to attend conventions involving them. His adoptive sister needled him over his childish and nerdy hobby but he continued to collect them right up to the point that he was sent to another world. Red uses [[CommonalityConnection his love of toys to bond with Conrad]] and convince him to release his Privilege Magic willingly.
* PerpetualPoverty: Because of his DestructiveSavior tendencies, Red is always broke since he scorches all the valuable drop items, turning them into useless lumps of charcoal that he can't exchange for money.
* PlayingWithFire: As Kizuna Red, Red is a "Warrior of Flame" and makes stuff blow up just by punching it.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: Teltina points out that with [[HavingABlast Red's power]], he's even more dangerous than the Seeds of Magic that she and Rosie are trying to stop. His HumongousMecha in particular can whip up hurricane force winds and leave huge gouges in the ground. Its Maximum Kizuna Blaster can wipe out the entire city of Akarina with a single shot and the Kaiser's stomping around is enough to flatten city blocks from the shockwaves.
* ThePollyanna:
** Red is relentlessly positive. Even while beaten and dying from defeating the Breakup King, he's able to find happiness in knowing that his friends and world are safe. Then he gets dropped into another world with no way home and sees that evils like slave labor are still around. Rather than angsting about it, he takes his predicament in stride and becomes a KnightErrant searching for the reason why he was chosen to arrive in this world.
** Despite his positivity, there are hints toward Red being secretly a [[SubvertedTrope subversion]]. He instantly sympathizes with Grossa when asked if he has a place dear to him while getting flashbacks of his friends and declares that he'll help her take back the city no matter what. He also wonders aloud about what his friends are doing, and is stunned when Teltina points out the hypocrisy in a "warrior of bonds" facing the Breakup King alone. [[spoiler:After Rosie shields Red from an otherwise lethal attack, he quietly begs Rosie to never take an attack for him again.]]
* {{Portmanteau}}: Red's "Bond"-themed names for his equipment are a portmanteau of two words meaning "equipment" and an alternate reading for "kizuna" or "bonds". Thus it literally means "friendship tools".
* ThePowerOfFriendship: Red was the leader of the Kizuna Five, who literally derive their power from bonds and friendship. Red's weapons include the Cooperation-Calibur, Marriage Beam Gun, and the Victory Kizuna Buster, all of which run on the bonds between himself and others. In fact, he can run out of power if people are infighting near him after he's already used up a lot of his energy, and he can't use his strongest weapons and attacks without someone he feels he's forged a strong bond with (i.e. shared goals, worked and fought together with). On the same note, his power is recharged when people overcome their differences and work together.
* RedHotMasculinity: Red is a male hero who is passionate about everyone and everything, wields the [[FireIsMasculine power of fire]] and is overall a HotBlooded StockShonenHero. He also has a HeroicBuild, flaming red hair and eyes, and wears red in both his civilian guise and as Kizuna Red.
* RedIsHeroic: Red was the Red Ranger on his team, and has red hair, red eyes, and a red costume. He's also a straightforward StockShonenHero out of place in a fantasy setting.
* RedOniBlueOni: Red is the HotBlooded, cheerful, and outgoing Red Oni to Rosie's aloof, cynical, and anti-social Blue Oni. This also goes down to their powers. Red invokes ThePowerOfFriendship in all his attacks and considers the bonds he has with others to be his greatest strength, while Rosie's Sacred Sword will suck anyone else dry of magical power if they try to wield it. Official illustrations also color Rosie's hair and armor as a deep blue to underscore how he's Red's opposite.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: Gender-inverted. Red's exuberant, HotBlooded StockShonenHero personality serves as a {{foil}} to Idora's opportunistic and grounded one. She reins him in when his larger-than-life personality is making things worse, and he inspires her to open up to others and seek her dreams as an adventurer.
* ScarfOfAsskicking: Later in the story, Red unlocks a new Bond Armor, Kizuna Red: Burning Passion, after [[spoiler:he and Idora confess their feelings for one another]]. This new form includes a blazing red scarf tied around his neck to go along with the surge of power that enables him to completely overpower [[spoiler:the Bad End version of him who had mastered the power of Kizuna Black.]]
* ScreamingWarrior: [[spoiler:As Kizuna Black, Red is wailing in anguish the entire time, as the plate is fueled by his despair and fear. He roars with rage when the demons try to attack his friends. All the while, his inner thoughts are filled with screaming about how he doesn't want to lose people he cares about again.]]
* SeenItAll: Zigzagged. Red has gone through an entire series' worth of adventures with the rest of the Kizuna Five. So the idea of fighting an entire army on his lonesome or witnessing a MakeMyMonsterGrow sequence is just business as usual for him. But even after six months in Idora's world, there's still much he doesn't know about it and he's surprised and impressed by everything new he encounters.
-->'''Red:''' [[MakeMyMonsterGrow A defeated enemy becoming giant]] is a daily occurrence!\
'''Idora:''' That being a daily thing is absolutely weird.
* {{Sentai}}: Red was the Red Ranger in his home world, defending the innocent from the wrath of the Relationship Relationship Enders. He continues to carry his superhero sensibilities into the fantasy world, confusing the locals who have no frame of reference for his personality or abilities.
* ShapingYourAttacks: [[spoiler:As Kizuna Black, he possesses a seemingly endless amount of bandage-shaped tentacles that he can use to trap his opponents and strike them. He can also shape them into larger constructs like an enormous fist, an entire salvo for {{Pile Bunker}}s, or lightning rods to ground electric attacks at will.]]
* ShonenHair: Red's spiky, flaming red hair matches his HotBlooded personality and explosive fire powers to a T. He even has a lock of IdiotHair to emphasize his BookDumb tendencies.
* ShowyInvincibleHero: Subverted. All of Red's attacks are obnoxiously loud and flashy and he's a OneManArmy able to wade into the toughest dungeons with ease. But he soon meets his match in the more dangerous monsters created from the Seeds of Magic as well as the WorldsStrongestMan, Rosie Mist. As the threat level increases, it becomes clear that Red is not as invincible as he first appears and takes his lumps with everyone else.
* ShutUpHannibal: Abu Dhabi attempts to use a BreakingSpeech to call Red a {{Hypocrite}} for trying to stop the demons from reviving the Demon Queen and reforging their bonds. But Red rebukes him, saying that any bond formed with evil intention to destroy the bonds of others deserves to be cut apart.
* SpinToDeflectStuff: Red deflects the dragon's BreathWeapon by spinning the Cooperation-Calibur in his hand rapidly, sending the flames around him and Idora and leaving them unharmed.
* StepfordSmiler: [[spoiler:Chapter 14 reveals that Red's LoveFreak tendencies and obsession with bonding is his way of coping with his deeply-ingrained abandonment issues and trauma from being orphaned at a young age. He tries to make good on his parents' wishes for him and make friends with as many people as possible as a means of grappling with his loss. But the thought of losing anyone else causes these bonds he uses as band-aids for the gaping hole in his heart to come loose, revealing just how terrified he is of being alone again.]]
* StockShonenHero: Red plays this ''hilariously'' straight. He's passionate about anything and everything, is super strong and fast, and is a highly emotional guy with ChronicHeroSyndrome. He approaches everything with wide-eyed joy and wonder and is obsessed with the PowerOfFriendship, to the point that he will run out of power if people are holding grudges against one another near him!
* StrongAndSkilled: As destructive and seemingly uncontrolled as Red's powers are, he's still a hero who's managed to defeat one ultimate evil in his world and it shows. He's skilled at wielding all the powers and weapons that typically come with being a [[HenshinHero Henshin Hero]], giant robot included.
* SuperpoweredEvilSide: [[spoiler:Red possesses an alternate form, "Kizuna Black", that harnesses all of his negative emotions, fear, despair, and loneliness, and channels it into power. This form is far more powerful than his normal transformation and can automatically stop attempts to subvert TransformationIsAFreeAction. In this state, Red's fighting style becomes far more brutal and his power boost lets him NoSell any attack Abu Dhabi and Vidan throw at him. The two demons are soon running for the hills after Red incinerates all of Vidan below the head. But given that this state is fueled by Red's desperation and worst impulses, he quickly loses control afterward and begins attacking the people he'd been trying to protect until Rosie manages to stop him by forcibly tearing the Black Plate out of his Bond Gear.]]
* SupportingProtagonist: Although he gets top billing and is the main character, he travels with Idora to help her with her goals before his own because of his belief that he ended up in her world for a reason. This is gradually subverted as Red's past comes to the forefront until he takes center stage as TheChosenOne [[spoiler:capable of defeating the Demon Queen and [[ImmortalBreaker returning her to the cycle of reincarnation]].]]
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: He insists that he's absolutely the same as always and in no way entranced by the beauty of [[spoiler:Tenri Nikaido, the then newly named Kizuna Silver, after being shocked into StunnedSilence at first sight.]]
* SwordAndGun: Red can wield both his Cooperation-Calibur and his Marriage Beam Gun to go to town on a small army of monsters with ease.
* SwordAndSorcerer: He's the sword to Idora's sorcerer. His LightningBruiser abilities and preference for the Cooperation-Calibur lets him dice up monsters up close, and he can resort to explosive punches and kicks if need be. Meanwhile, Idora is able to use all kinds of magic, from water to ice to healing spells, allowing her to take on some enemies herself as well as heal Red in times of distress.
* TaughtByExperience: Red is an ExperiencedProtagonist who has experienced all kinds of tropey encounters firsthand. He assumes correctly that Idora's golem is a test, though he wasn't aware that his test hadn't actually started yet. He also laughs when Rosie tells him that he has no intention of becoming friends with Red, who hasn't met a single person who said that to him who didn't become a good friend later on.
* TearsOfBlood: In a flashback to when he and the Kizuna Five are fighting the Breakup King, Red's injuries simulate this trope as he cries actual tears over [[spoiler:Kizuna Silver dying in his arms from [[TakingTheBullet taking a lethal blow meant for him]].]]
* TransformationIsAFreeAction:
** Red rarely has trouble squeezing in time to transform into Kizuna Red, and can even do it while charging forward into a head-on clash against Rosie, the WorldsStrongestMan.
** Subverted when [[spoiler:Abu Dhabi and Vidan attack right after Red and the others exhausted themselves defeating Azir. Abu Dhabi impales Red in the middle of his TransformationSequence, taking him out of the fight and leaving him powerless to stop the ensuing mayhem until he decides to use his DangerousForbiddenTechnique.]]
* TransformationTrinket: In typical HenshinHero fashion, Red slides a Bond Plate into his Bond Brace to start the transformation into Kizuna Red.
* TranslatorMicrobes: The "Kizuna Lingual Tuner" function of his TransformationTrinket instantly translates anything he says to those he has a bond with and vice versa, explaining how Red has no problems communicating despite being from an entirely different world.
* TraumaButton: [[spoiler:Seeing others TakingTheBullet for him is an enormous sore spot for Red, as one of his closest friends, Kizuna Silver, died as she predicted she would saving his life even though they swore to ScrewDestiny in the end. Seeing his loved ones get hurt and nearly killed in general is another trigger for Red, as he was orphaned at an early age and told that life would be easier had he died with his parents.]]
* TrappedInAnotherWorld: Red finds himself in a fantasy world after he expected to die defeating the Breakup King. Undaunted, he uses his new lease on life to protect the innocent as an adventurer while also trying to find a way home.
* TrueCompanions: Based on how Red reminisces on his past, it's safe to say that he is incredibly close to all of his teammates, who all mourn his assumed death after he defeats the Breakup King.
* UnknownRival: Red is this to Rosie, who sees him as a rival for Teltina's hand in love and marriage. Despite Red being completely ObliviousToLove and only wanting to be friends with Teltina, his increasing closeness to her and ability to relate to her struggles angers Rosie.
* UnstoppableRage: [[spoiler:After Rosie is injured TakingTheBullet for Red, Abu Dhabi gloats that it was useless, as everyone would die by his hands sooner or later. This triggers a painful memory of Red's where he failed to save someone, leaving him trembling with rage as his costume darkens and cracks while giving him a power boost strong enough to easily punch Abu Dhabi straight through a building.]]
* VictoryPose: He jumps in the air with one fist raised above his head in triumph after passing Idora's test. He, Idora, and the two other unnamed adventurers with them also strike a SuperSentaiStance after defeating the monster produced by the Seed of Magic with the Victory Kizuna Buster.
* TheWatson: As an outsider to Idora's world, Red has to have a lot explained to him, whether it's guild cards, magic, or simply who important people are given that his travelling companions are all far more informed than he is.
* WaveMotionGun:
** The Maximum Kizuna Blaster fires an enormous beam from the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser's chest that completely vaporizes the upper body of the dragon it hits. Its range is so long that it can be seen by onlookers a huge distance away from the battlefield.
** The Victory Kizuna Buster unleashes a huge laser that causes a massive explosion on impact. But it only works if all of its users are in sync and not arguing with one another, otherwise the beam will split in half and completely miss its target.
* WhatsUpKingDude: Due to his typical HotBlooded niceness and FishOutOfWater status, Red quickly treats Teltina like an old friend without any of the stuffy decorum or manners. This enrages Rosie for not showing Teltina proper respect.
* TheWorfEffect: Red is a powerful warrior who treats even high-leveled monsters like small-fry. Because of this, he's often used as a measuring stick for an enemy's power level, and he struggles against the first Seed of Magic monster and Rosie to demonstrate how dangerous they are. He's also at the complete mercy of the monster controlling Akarina, which is able to constantly attack Red's blindspots to prevent him from fighting back.
* WorfHadTheFlu: His power is established early on, and Red struggling is a sign that things have gotten more serious, though it isn't always his fault. For instance, he takes up Idora's suggestion to use the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser inside a cave before realizing too late that the cave is too cramped for it to move, draining valuable energy that leaves him vulnerable after the Victory Kizuna Buster fails. But once his party overcomes its differences, the Victory Kizuna Buster is enough to instantly defeat the monster.
* WrongContextMagic: Red's powers aren't magic and don't adhere to any known magical theories in Idora's world. Because of this, the seemingly arbitrary PowerOfFriendship it runs on is baffling to her, and almost anyone who sees him in action is either dumbstruck or wowed by his abilities. This, on top of being [[TrappedInAnotherWorld an otherworlder]], makes him a prime research subject despite his tendency to drive her nuts. [[spoiler:Subverted when Mana Metal reacts to Red's Emergency Kizuna Warp, meaning that there is a connection between magic and Kizuna Energy.]]

->''"I'll do whatever it takes to reclaim the position of 'Scepter' and bring smiles to people all over the world with the power of magic. That's my dream."''

The proud, 16-year old scion of a family of wizards who served as the Royal Scepter for generations, her family lost much of its prestige and funds after her father lost a WizardDuel to the current Scepter and later died. Short on funds for the research she needs to redeems her family in the eyes of the king, she seeks out a cheaper B-Rank Adventurer to help her in her studies, drawing the attention of Togo Asagaki, an eccentric hero from another world.
----
* ActionGirl: Idora is more than capable of kicking monster ass all over the place, which is fitting since she's training and preparing to become the Royal Scepter.
* BadassOnPaper: Idora is a powerful wizard, but she pales before Red's over-the-top sentai firepower. But after shushing Red to keep him from complicating the conversation with his frankness and inability to read the room, Teltina comes to the conclusion that Idora was the one who defeated the Seed of Magic monster the first time, which Idora [[SureLetsGoWithThat just rolls with]].
* BadassBookworm: Idora's magical abilities are great enough to get her labeled as an Archmage on her first day of being an adventurer. But she's also a researcher first and foremost who hopes to use her skills to help people in their everyday lives. She's able to pick apart and engineer magic remarkably quickly after observing it, even taking the current Royal Scepter, Shauha, aback when Idora turns a one-way hologram projector into a two-way communication device in the span of a conversation.
* BarrierWarrior: Her Overshade spell surrounds her and her allies in a bubble of darkness that keeps out magical powers, allowing her to prevent Lurguat's monsters from teleporting in when Rosie is injured. It unfortunately takes a lot of effort to maintain, which isn't helped by the rest of the heroes deciding to drop an ExpositionDump and work out their issues instead of recovering and counterattacking.
* BatmanGambit: She defeats Azir's Euges by anticipating that he'd defend himself with his cards and try to bait her into one so she'd get sucked in. Before getting trapped completely, she engraves the Sun Elves' spell for "Explosion" onto the edge of the card, blowing it up in his face and knocking him unconscious. When he asks how she could possibly risk being so close to an explosion like that, Idora says that she's already used to experiencing explosions at close-range thanks to Red.
* BeneathTheMask: Idora tries to act cool and poised at all times, but Red's antics quickly shatter her composure and make her act a lot more coarse than she would normally. She also tends to keep her more opportunistic side hidden behind a sweet smile when dealing with people like Princess Teltina, who can give Idora a leg up in reclaiming her father's title as the Royal Scepter.
* BerserkButton: The one thing she absolutely cannot tolerate is an insult to her father, whom she was incredibly close to and taught her everything she knows.
* BuxomBeautyStandard: She has a very large chest that leaves Teltina envious.
* CleavageWindow: Idora's outfit is open at the top to reveal her cleavage and is completely open at the bottom to show her midriff.
* ClingyJealousGirl: Briefly when she saw Red and Raniya getting along a little ''too'' well to her displeasure. Teltina even calls her out on it.
* CovertPervert: When the children from Stella Orphanage make fun of how Red's suit makes his butt look plump, Idora simply looks at them as if they were idiots and claims that that's the best part.
* DaddysGirl: No mention is made of Idora's mother, but Idora was incredibly close to her father and was inspired by his tireless efforts to better the lives of others even after losing the title of Royal Scepter. Slights against his name are the one thing that's guaranteed to set her off.
* DamselInDistress: Almost immediately after treading into the HiddenElfVillage, Idora is kidnapped by a burly, afro-wearing elf swinging on a vine, forcing Red to leap after her.
* DragonRider: Well, wyvern rider, since actual dragons are considered dangerous, powerful beasts. Idora has a wyvern that she's close to and nuzzles like a horse, riding it to places for research. Unfortunately for her, Red has an even faster way of getting around by using his Turbo-Engine to fling them toward their destination at incredible speed.
* ExactWords: Teltina mentions that there aren't many people in this world who can stand up to Rosie in a fight. Idora mutters that there aren't many people in ''this'' world, but Red is from another one. Sure enough, he's strong enough to take Rosie head-on, but ends up resorting to the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser to finish the fight.
* FlatWhat: Seeing the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser for the first time short-circuits Idora's brain, reducing her to slurred speech as she wonders what the hell is going on. Lampshaded by Red, who asks if she's okay because her speech patterns completely changed.
* {{Foil}}: Idora is this to Red. They're both kind and powerful people who want to make the world a better place. But while Idora is a genius magician who is snobby, manipulative, and conniving, Red is a StockShonenHero who's BookDumb, obsessed with bonds, and tends to brute force his way through most problems.
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: Idora prefers to stand at a distance and bombard her foes with magic (though she's not completely defenseless is close range either), while Red tends to get up close and personal with the Cooperation-Calibur.
* HeadTurningBeauty: Idora's figure is explicitly called "voluptuous" and Poseidon is worried that Red would go berserk at the continued sight of her in her typical, skimpy wizard outfit. The two B-rank adventurers who failed to defeat Idora's golem also fantasize about making her do things for them because of her huge rack.
* HealingHands: She possesses healing magic as well as offensive magic, using it to help Red recuperate after he gets in over his head.
* HeroicRROD: After expending an incredible amount of effort protecting the others in the middle of their ExpositionDump with her Overshade spell, Idora vomits once the barrier finally shatters.
* HotWitch: Idora's typical outfit consists of long-sleeved, open shirt and short skirt that leaves her midriff and cleavage exposed. She's also noted to be beautiful and buxom by others around her, to the point that even a dense StockShonenHero like Red notes that she's a beauty.
* HypocrisyNod: Idora insults two adventurers as third-rate when they fail to defeat her golem and insult her father as a cowardly magician. But when they rush to protect her as she heals Red, she realizes that she was being just as judgmental as they were, overcoming her grudge against them. This creates enough of ThePowerOfFriendship to recharge Red and summon the Victory Kizuna Buster again to win the fight.
* AnIcePerson: Her Celsius Spike spell stabs her opponent with a spear of ice.
* ImpoverishedPatrician: Idora descends from a long line of wizards who used their position as the Royal Scepter to make the world a better place. But after her father lost a WizardDuel, he lost his title and his family was subsequently exiled from the royal capital. In the present, Idora still lives in a lavish mansion, but only has Poseidon to staff it and lacks the funds to hire anyone more expensive than a B-rank adventurer to help her.
* InconsistentSpelling: Idora's name can be confusing to translate due to JapaneseRanguage and phonetics. Idora? Idra? Idola? The official translation goes with "Idora". Later chapters use "Yhidra".
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Idora is snobbish, manipulative, opportunistic, and condescending toward others due to her magical pedigree and her desire for revenge against the current Royal Scepter. Despite this, she genuinely wants to use the position to make the world a better place, and refuses to sacrifice others for the sake of her goals. Further, she is capable of self-reflection and changing herself for the better; she openly acknowledged her own hypocrisy regarding two adventurers when fighting the first Magic Seed fueled monster and overcame her grudge.
* KissOfLife: Idora performs CPR on Red after he nearly drowns from being knocked unconscious and thrown into a river by Lurguat's monsters. She admits that it's her FirstKiss, but Red is oblivious to what she means by this being her "first time", as [[ComicallyMissingThePoint she's bailed him out on multiple occasions already]].
* LadyOfBlackMagic: She's a magician from a prestigious noble family capable of using complex spells. While she tries to carry herself with elegance befitting her family's history, Red tends to drive her crazy enough to resort to common and vulgar vernacular.
* LegFocus: Her short skirt and leggings are made for showing off her thighs, and right from her introduction (where they're crossed and front-center for the readers) the story shows them off to make sure you know how good they are.
* LivingEmotionalCrutch: Unbeknownst to her, she became this for Red after they meet. He had given up hope of returning to his own world after trying and failing for months to find a way back on his own. Their meeting and her offer to develop trans-dimensional teleportation magic for him restored his belief that he could see his friends again. He continues to look to her for emotional support as the story goes on, with Red and Idora inspiring each other to do better. [[spoiler:Her murder in an alternate timeline turned the Red of that timeline into a bitter, brutal AntiHero.]]
* LoveEpiphany: [[spoiler:In the middle of the heroes' battle with Azir, Idora admits to herself that she's fallen in love with Red. Her deepening bond with him creates a new weapon for the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser that allows her to use the HumongousMecha to bolster her own magic.]]
* MagicStaff: Idora wields one as a grand wizard to help her use her magic.
* {{Magitek}}: She had created metallic mechanical golems to act as bodyguards for her mansion.
* MakingASplash: Her Undine Scream spell generates a high-pressure burst of water that can dismember monsters. She can then further manipulate it into a flying whirlpool to sweep away her enemies.
* MsFanservice: Idora's outfit leaves the tops of her sizable breasts, her midriff, and her thighs bare for all to see. Multiple characters in the story comment on her figure, eliciting feels of lust or ACupAngst.
* OnlySaneWoman: Idora is by far the most "normal" member of the party in terms of personality and the first one to snark at the zaniness around her. She's particularly flabbergasted when Red, Teltina, and Rosie decide to work out their differences while they're under attack from Lurguat's monsters, all while she's maintaining the slowly cracking barrier preventing them from getting pummeled.
* OvershadowedByAwesome: She's a powerful adventurer in her own right from the get-go, and a bonafide magical genius... but she adventures with Red, a {{Toku}} hero who beat the BigBad. As a result, he tends to clear out most of the {{Mooks}} way faster than she can. She's overshadowed even more when [[WorldsStrongestMan Rosie]] joins the party, relegating Idora to the backline against the most dangerous threats the party faces. But her smarts and the flexibility of her magic keep her an integral part of the heroes' party who constantly gets them out of scrapes.
* PlayingWithFire: Her Ifrit Blow spell punches a target with a fist-shaped burst of fire.
* ThePowerOfLove: [[spoiler:Idora acknowledging her feelings for Red and her desperation to help him defeat Azir causes the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser to create a MagicWand through which she can channel the mecha's energies into her magic. This lets her perform a massive Emergency Kizuna Warp to forcibly put Azir back together, allowing Raniya to placate him and Teltina to remove his Seed of Magic.]]
* TheRedMage: She is able to dole out punishment with elemental offensive magic as well as use HealingMagic to treat the wounds of others. However, although she's a TeenGenius, she's not TheArchmage and she still doesn't hold a candle to Shauha's reign as the Royal Scepter yet.
* RobeAndWizardHat: Idora wears a huge wizard's hat wherever she goes, and Red makes a point of retrieving it and putting it back on her head after it's blown off in their second battle together.
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: She falls in love with Red for always supporting her and believing in her no matter what.
* {{Slapstick}}: Idora is actually the one being subject to slapstick and humiliation the most in the early chapters. Her precious golem is blown to pieces by Red, she's covered in monster guts after Red sends them flying toward the Ruins of Wakemark, and she's nearly killed by the explosion of his TransformationSequence immediately after he gives her a DeclarationOfProtection.
* SquishyWizard: She can blast away high-level monsters with her spells, but she wears no armor or protective equipment, and Red has to pull a DivingSave for her on more than one occasion.
* StraightMan: It's usually her job to call out Red on his crazy {{Sentai}} antics.
* {{Stripperific}}: Her outfit is impractically skimpy, leaving the tops of her breasts, her stomach, and her upper thighs bare. It's obviously all for the fanservice. She gets an even ''skimpier'' outfit while visiting the desert the Sun Elves live in.
* SuccubiAndIncubi: [[spoiler:Thanks to a drug developed by Betrayis, she's temporarily transformed into a succubus. This is done in order to dive into Red's heart and directly heal his trauma.]]
* SwordAndSorcerer: She's the sorcerer to Red's sword.
* TeenGenius: She's a teenager who is also a genius magician capable of fighting almost as well as a veteran adventurer. She exposits frequently on magical theory and is able to apply spells she's learned in combat the same day she learns about them. She's even able to apply the Sun Elves' engraving magic in combat after only seeing it and having it explained to her once. After discovering that Shauha snuck a one-way communication device and tracker onto her hat, Idora is able to quickly modify it to enable two-way communication, something that floors Shauha.
* {{Tsundere}}: Despite always criticizing Red for everything he does, Idora does show concern for him as a friend. She also explains to two adventurers who insulted her father that she could never let someone die in front of them if she could help it, but not without saying that she can't have them die before they take their insults back. All while thinking to herself that she can't have them thinking she's fond of them.
* UnreliableExpositor: Idora clearly has a bone to pick with Shauha for deposing Idora's father as the Royal Scepter. As such, her descriptions and theories of Shauha paint the new Scepter as an EvilSorcerer who aims to monopolize and profiteer off the use of magic. When the heroes meet Shauha in person, they find that while she is indeed a {{Jerkass}}, her "monopoly" is actually a series of regulations designed to curb the issues caused by unregulated magic in order to protect lives. Her actions have a net positive effect on the people working under her and even Red admits that Shauha's logic is sound, even if he thinks her actions are overkill.

Princess Teltina is the third princess of the Avalost Empire. She comes to Idora's mansion in hopes of seeking her aid in destroying the Seeds of Magic being proliferated by the current Royal Scepter, Shauha.
----
* ACupAngst: Her bust is relatively modest, and she wonders if she and Idora really are the same age given the differences in their figures.
* AmbiguouslyBi: While she has a quite a bit of ShipTease with Rosie, she's also shown to find other women attractive such as when she gropes Idora in the bath or when the party meets the orphanage matron Stella and she's just as stunned by the her beauty as Red, even going as far as to ask him if he also thinks she's hot.
* AnimalMotif: Her CuteLittleFangs, silver hair, and furred clothing all point to wolves. She can also summon a giant eyeless wolf known as Vrykolakas with the ability to eat and regurgitate those infected by the Seeds of Magic to remove them from their hosts. [[spoiler:Fittingly enough, her half-demon form resembles a wolf.]]
* ArmorPiercingQuestion: After hearing his story on how he came to her world, Teltina asks Red why a "warrior of bonds" like him chose to fight the Breakup King alone without his teammates. It's the first time in the story that Red is genuinely speechless. He quickly refutes her after she says that he probably sacrificed himself for the sake of others, stating that he didn't intend to die at all, but he initially stutters rather than speaking with his usual absolute confidence.
* TheAtoner: [[spoiler:During her HeroicRROD in Chapter 26.2, she claims that stopping the Demon Queen's Clan with the power inherent from her older brother is her atonement.]]
* BadPowersGoodPeople: Her ability to summon Vrykolakas, a wolf that can extract Seeds of Magic is a power granted by her ''own'' Seed of Magic.
* BeneathTheMask: She usually carries herself with the poise expected from a princess, but she can be quite excitable, innocent, and insensitive in her more private moments, as shown by her fascination with Red's abilities and her cheeky comments about [[NotWhatItLooksLike what appears to be Red and Idora flirting]].
* CharacterCatchphrase: "Please tell me honestly..." whenever she has to get Rosie to speak truthfully rather than hiding his feelings behind a veneer of etiquette and heroic pride.
* CommonalityConnection:
** After Red regales her with the story of his adventures as Kizuna Red, Teltina correctly deduces that he decided to take on the Breakup King alone so none of his friends would get hurt. She explains that she feels the same way, and that she'll gladly put her life on the line so others won't have to.
** She also feels the same kinship with Rosie, as like him, she couldn't rely on the other members of royalty who did nothing while the Seeds of Magic were sown. Because of this, she was just as lonely as he was when she sought him out two years ago to become her Hero.
* CoolCrown: Wears a small hoop crown to demonstrate her royal status.
* CovertPervert: Despite being a bubbly, poised princess, she has a bit of a dirty side, being amused when it looked like Red and Idora were going to have sex, offers Rosie a LapPillow and EarCleaning to control him, gropes Idora in the bath, and then is willing to send Red in for an AccidentalPervert moment to get him and Idora closer together.
* CuteLittleFangs: Her teeth are noticeably sharp during closeups on it.
* CutenessProximity: Her wolf is capable of inflicting this, as demonstrated when Idora and Red can't stop petting it.
* DidYouJustHaveSex: After Idora accidentally teleports Red into her bath, she decides to give him a "thorough examination" to determine the connection between him, Kizuna Energy, and mana metal. Unfortunately, she did this all night in her bathrobe, leaving both her and Red feeling terribly embarrassed and awkward. Upon seeing this, Teltina asks if Idora [[UnusualEuphemism had Bond-Fusion]] with Red. To make things even more awkward, she asked this in the middle of the royal court.
* DopeSlap: She smacks the back of Rosie's head when he's being unreasonable.
* ErmineCapeEffect: Her wealth and status is illustrated by the ornate crown on her head and the luxurious furred cape she wears over her black dress.
* ForcedTransformation: [[spoiler:After nearly being overwhelmed by the sheer amount of Seeds of Magic she had to eat during the battle with Krygan, she is transformed into a wolf-like half demon.]]
* GirlishPigtails: Her hairtyle when she was a younger, TomboyPrincess.
* HellishPupils: Teltina has uniquely slit eyes in comparison to the pupils of everyone else, which several panels close up on her face call attention to.
* HeroicRROD: [[spoiler:Teltina is forced to take in the magical power contained within the Seeds of Magic that Vrykolakas eats. Eating too many of them in a short period of time causes her to collapse from taking in too much magic.]]
* LadyAndKnight: The Bright Lady to Rosie's White Knight. Teltina is the princess Rosie has sworn to protect at all costs.
* LonelyRichKid: Implied trope, since she is so quick to jump on friendship, and comments in BathtubBonding with Idora how she has never bathed with someone her own age before.
* MilesToGoBeforeISleep: [[spoiler:While suffering a HeriocRROD after eating all of Krygan's Seeds of Magic, she proclaims that she can't die yet, that she doesn't deserve to "rest" until she destroyed all of the Seeds of Magic and the Demon Queen's Clan is stopped.]]
* TheNeedsOfTheMany: She feels it's her duty as the princess to help others at her own expense, even if it comes at the cost of her own life. Teltina feels a connection with Red, who faced the Breakup King along to keep his friends out of harms way.
-->'''Teltina:''' If one person's sacrifice can save many others from getting hurt, then I'll gladly be that sacrifice. I'm just the same as you.
* NiceGirl: Teltina is bubbly, friendly, and outgoing, reining in her haughty attendant and quickly striking up enough of a friendship with Red to be swept into the cockpit of the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser.
* {{Protectorate}}: Teltina is this to Rosie, who is head-over-heels for her and is constantly vying for her affections while going full AxCrazy against anyone who may have disrespected her (or interrupted her alone time with him).
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: She's aware of the dangerous and inhumane experiments being conducted by the Royal Scepter Shauha and seeks out Idora's help to stop them, knowing full well that speaking out conventionally will end with her being [[DeadlyEuphemism "disposed of"]].
* ShipperOnDeck: When Red is about to take a dip in an outdoor bath to clean up after a long day of training, Teltina purposefully neglects to tell him that Idora is still in the bath so they'll run into each other naked.
* SilkHidingSteel: Gentle and kind she may be, but Teltina can be forceful when the situation requires it, sternly ordering Rosie to help Red rather than protect her when the demon responsible for proliferating the Seeds of Magic is right in front of them.
* SquishyWizard: Unlike the rest of the heroes, Teltina can't defend herself. Even her privilege-type magic is controlled by her desire to only destroy the Seeds of Magic and to not hurt anyone, resulting in Vrykolakas being a BigFriendlyDog who would lose a fight to a stray animal.
* SupernaturalGoldEyes: She has golden eyes and her unique privilege-type magic can destroy the Seeds of Magic without harming the host.
* UsedToBeATomboy: Her elder brother remarks how a rash TomboyPrincess became such a meek, serious woman.
* UtilityPartyMember: Teltina can't help out in combat at all, but her authority as a princess is useful for getting around and her privilege magic, Vrykolakas, is the only thing capable of destroying a Seed of Magic and safely remove it from a host.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: As party members, Teltina quickly befriends Red and learns to relax and smile around him, even finding [[CommonalityConnection common ground with him]] before asking him to protect her so they can both achieve their goals. Their increasing closeness enrages Rosie, [[spoiler:who steals the Bond Plate before the fight with Lurguat's monsters to get Red killed.]]
* WiseBeyondHerYears: Although Teltina appears to be a bubbly 15-year-old, she takes her royal duties very seriously, coming to Idora explicitly to request aid in destroying the Seeds of Magic. She also reads all of Idora's reports to the royal family and hopes to implement them to improve the lives of her people.

[[folder:Rosie Mist]]
!!Rosie Mist
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rosie_mist.png]]
->''"The only love I need is yours, Lady Teltina. If I have it, I'd become a hero who can slay anything and anyone."''

The hero of his world and a former S-Rank Adventurer known as "the Demon Swordsman" before retiring to become Princess Teltina's attendant. He's deeply in love (or obsessed) with the princess and tries to earn her affections any way he can, growing irate when others disrespect her or interrupt his alone time with her.
----
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: Before meeting Teltina, he was ostracized for being the UnSorcerer, the first in a thousand years. His flashbacks show him fleeing from crowds throwing stones at him and laughing at his plight the minute they learn of his condition. Because of this, he doesn't give a damn about anyone besides Teltina.
* AntiMagic: The Royal Sacred Sword constantly drains the magical energy of anything it touches, making it impossible for anyone who isn't an UnSorcerer to wield. This also lets it cleave through magical effects with ease, making Rosie a thorn in [[spoiler:Shau'ha's side once she reveals her true colors.]]
* TheAtoner: [[spoiler:After trying to get Red killed by stealing his Bond Plate, Rosie [[TakingTheBullet shoves Red out of the way of Abu Dhabi's attack]] to atone, justifying it as "a whim of mine".]]
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: After letting Red get his butt kicked by Lurguat's demons, Rosie is able to determine the monsters' attack patterns and perfectly counter them with the different forms of the Royal Sacred Sword.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: His backstory makes it seem like Teltina is the first person who was nice to him... ''ever''. He gets almost fanatically devoted to protecting her and falls hard for the Princess.
* {{BFS}}: His personal weapon, the Royal Sacred Sword, is a MorphWeapon able to change its shape for a variety of effects, but all of its forms are as long as he is tall at the minimum.
* BlackEyesOfCrazy: His eyes darken into these when he's truly angry.
* BodyguardCrush: Misty is clearly in love with Teltina, but she seems to cherish him as a friend and protector more than anything. This fuels his raging jealousy when Red quickly makes friends with her.
* BraidsOfAction: He's a powerful swordsman with his hair tied into a braid on the right side.
* BrutalHonesty: When he isn't playing the part of the hero, Rosie doesn't mince words and will say exactly what's on his mind, including his contempt for anyone who isn't Teltina.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Rosie has SingleTargetSexuality for Princess Teltina and doesn't want anyone to interrupt his travels with her. His astoundingly petty CrazyJealousGuy personality belies his strength and skill as the WorldsStrongestMan, managing to push back even Red's Maximum Kizuna Kaiser with brute force.
* TheChampion: He became the Hero not to protect his world, but to protect Princess Teltina.
* TheChosenOne: {{Subverted|Trope}}. As the only one able to wield the Royal Sacred Sword, Rosie is known as the newest Hero. But there is no prophecy dictating that Rosie specifically would become the Hero, he just so happened to be born as the first UnSorcerer in a thousand years, qualifying him to wield the Royal Sacred Sword. His fame as a powerful magicless swordsman caught Teltina's attention and she sought him out to make him the Hero.
* ComicalOverreacting: Rosie is prone to resorting to violence over the slightest potential affronts to Princess Teltina even when he's the one who started it (i.e. walking in on Idora on top of Red while shielding him from Poseidon's clippers). He later flies into a rage over Teltina calling Red by his nickname rather than his given one, screaming that Teltina had never called him by a nickname before. Rosie's anger only grows when Red starts calling him "Ro-kun", swinging his sword at an oblivious Red.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: When Elmario attempts to escape after Rosie and Red gain the upper hand, Rosie is left puzzled on how to stop him because while he could use Gratosilv to restrain him or Draglas to bypass his intangibility, he doesn't have a sword that could do both at the same time. Red suggests that they [[CombinationAttack combine their powers]], but Rosie interprets that as combining Gratosilv and Draglas into a new sword, Gradrasilv, to finish off the corrupt noble. Red, though incredibly impressed, states that that's not at all what he meant.
* CoolSword: The Sacred Sword is the royal family's holy sword created by fusing seven holy swords together and the prized weapon that was once used by a previous hero to seal away the Demon Queen. It's a MorphWeapon capable of changing its shape to change its abilities and is powerful enough to stagger even Red's Maximum Kizuna Kaiser.
* CrazyJealousGuy: Misty is obsessed with having Princess Teltina's affections and is pissed when Red fails to show her proper reverence and gets buddy-buddy with her, threatening to kill him repeatedly over minor slights like getting called by a nickname first. When Teltina tells him to be honest about his reasons for not wanting Red to join them, Misty says that he doesn't want anyone interrupting his alone time with her. [[spoiler:His feelings of jealousy toward Red's increasing closeness to Teltina escalate to the point that he purposefully sabotages Red by stealing his Bond Plate to prevent him from transforming in the middle of their important battle in hopes of getting him killed.]]
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Rosie was mocked and ostracized his entire life for lacking magical power. Despite managing to become a famous and successful adventurer, he continued to be ridiculed by his peers, to the point that he scoffed at the idea becoming the Hero of a world that hates him.
* DefrostingIceKing: Lampshaded. Misty tells Red that he agrees to travel with him, but makes it clear that he doesn't intend on getting closer to him. Red accepts these terms, as he's never met anyone who's said them who doesn't become a good friend in the end. Sure enough, Rosie gradually becomes much more tolerant of Red over time and increasingly goes out of his way to help him.
* DisabilityImmunity: The Sacred Sword is so powerful that anyone with magic would get sucked dry of energy and be rendered helpless not long after grabbing it. Rosie is one of a handful of individuals in the world without any magical power at all, making him a rare individual with the strength and skill to draw out the sword's full potential without suffering from its downside. It's another reason why he feels so threatened by Red, since Red ''also'' can't produce magic and could theoretically wield the sword (and thus, Teltina could rely on Red instead of him).
* DisabilitySuperpower: Rosie is completely unable to use or produce magic in a society that prizes this trait highly. He was bullied, mocked, and eventually driven to living on the streets because of it. However, his disability is made relevant because the sacred blade he uses feeds on the magical energy of all that touch it, which means he's the only one who can even pick the thing up, much less use it to its full potential. Anyone else who tries to wield it will collapse, drained of magical energy.
* DistressedDude: He's sucked into a card while trying to rescue Teltina from one of the Seed of Magic users, leaving Idora the only one capable of saving them while Red and Raniya fight off Azir.
* EasilyForgiven: [[spoiler:Due to Red coming to the [[EntertaininglyWrong erroneous conclusion]] that Rosie stole his Bond Plate because he wanted to transform too, he doesn't hold any hard feelings toward Rosie despite the latter's attempt to murder him. Even after he admits to Teltina that he wanted to kill Red, she forgives him without much fuss.]]
* FamedInStory: He's (in)famous as "the Demon Swordsman" for his personality and incredible power, defeating numerous high-level dungeons on his lonesome and slaying fearsome beasts like dragons without outside aid. Teltina even says he's one of the strongest beings in the world.
* FieryRedhead: Misty is a redhead and passionate about protecting the princess (and being alone with her), reacting violently to any perceived slights against her.
* FireForgedFriends: He's initially extremely antagonistic toward Red, considering him a rival for Teltina's affections and believing himself to be the only protection Teltina needs. But Red's unrelenting kindness toward him and Rosie realizing his own inadequacies has him [[TookALevelinKindness become much more tolerant of Red's antics and showing a much greater willingness to cooperate with and support him.]] It isn't long before he's allowed to board the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser, demonstrating his new bond with Red. [[spoiler:He even ends up TakingTheBullet for Red and later allows himself to take a severs shoulder injury to save Red from his Kizuna Black transformation.]]
* {{Foil}}: To Red. Red is all about making as many friends as possible, while Rosie is a dedicated loner who only cares about Princess Teltina and actively refuses friendship with everyone else. The more each presses their views on the other, the more resolved the other grows to prove them wrong.
* FlowerMotifs: Roses. In addition to his name, Rosie is a PrettyBoy who appears to be a perfect gentleman and hero on the surface. But like a rose, Rosie is thorny on the best of days, between his severe, {{Yandere}}-level BodyguardCrush and aloof personality. Rosie's associations with the color blue also make him a blue rose, which do not exist in nature and are thus uniquely rare, going along with him being a rare UnSorcerer.
* FreudianExcuse: A lifetime spent being ostracized and jeered for lacking magical power has crippled Rosie's ability to trust others aside from Teltina, the first to embrace him and give him the purpose and companionship he so desperately craved.
* GenderBlenderName: Rosie Mist sounds like a feminine name, but it's given to the character who is male.
* HairTriggerTemper: Anything that can be remotely considered an insult to Teltina will fill him with murderous intent, as does any time Red manages to inadvertently one-up him.
* HeadbuttingHeroes: A completely one-sided example. Red is hyped to work alongside another hero like Rosie, but Rosie wants nothing to do with Red, who he sees as nothing more than an obstacle in the way of his affections for Teltina. Teltina has to bribe Rosie with offers of ear cleaning and a lap pillow for him to agree with work with Red. [[spoiler:And yet, even that is not enough for him, and he attempts to MurderTheHypotenuse by stealing Red's Bond Plate, preventing him from transforming before an important fight.]]
* HeelFaceReincarnation: In Chapter 30, it's revealed that Rosie as none other than [[spoiler:the Breakup King who killed Silver, Betrayis, and Red]] in his past life. Seeing this is what convinces Professor Patchwork [[spoiler:or rather Betrayis]] that Red is the only one capable of beating the Demon Queen, as only Red's Big Bond Soul has the ability to [[spoiler:forcibly return her soul to the cycle of reincarnation to wipe her abilities and memories completely.]] This is also why Rosie instinctively can't bring himself to like Red even after risking life and limb for him.
* HeroAntagonist: He antagonizes Red for his overly friendly frankness and lack of manners toward Princess Teltina, but Rosie is the hero of his world and a powerful force for good who has slain monsters, dragons, and demons in the princess' name.
* HeroWithAnFInGood: Rosie is incredibly powerful and skilled, to the point of overwhelming Red and forcing him to summon the Kizuna Kaiser to even the odds. However, Rosie is also incredibly standoffish toward everyone but Teltina and is crazily possessive of her. Lampshaded by Lurguat, who points out that for all Rosie's strength as the hero, he's woefully inexperienced at defending others.
* HopelessSuitor: He could not be more blatant about his feelings for Princess Teltina, but she seems to treat him as JustFriends.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Despite his noble deeds and the glory he's obtained as the hero, all he ultimately cares about is himself and being with Teltina. [[spoiler:So when it looks like Red is making her happier than Rosie ever could, Rosie takes it upon himself to steal Red's Bond Plate to get him killed by Lurguat's monster, coldly remarking that Red and his bonds "aren't needed in ''my'' world".]]
* JerkassToOne: Inverted. He's nothing but polite and devoted to Teltina, but he's an irritable prick to everyone else, resorting to death threats at the drop of a hat and laughing as he watches Red get pummeled by Lurguat's monsters.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: While he's mostly haughty and strict to anyone that addresses Princess Teltina, he does have a noble heart and he does accept the trust of those who earn it. He's also genuinely in love with Teltina and wants to protect her at all costs, growing understandably angry when it looks like Red took her hostage in the middle of their duel. [[spoiler:But his [[GreenEyedMonster jealousy toward Red]] twists Rosie into a {{Yandere}} as he ends up putting his desire to be the only one Teltina can rely upon above his vow to Teltina to help him, stealing Red's Bond Plate to leave him at a monster's mercy even if it means jeopardizing the mission to save Akarina.]] Even after Red forgives him, Rosie continues to sling insults at Red's face... but they still have enough of a bond for Rosie to board the Kizuna Kaiser.
* JustFriends: To Rosie's chagrin, Teltina treats him more as a valued friend and companion than a lover, and he's constantly trying to obtain her affections and be alone with her to rectify this.
* LadyAndKnight: The White Knight to Princess Teltina's Bright Lady. Rosie swore loyalty to the princess and is completely devoted to protecting her.
* LaserGuidedKarma: After laughing at Red and letting him get attacked by Lurguat's monsters, Rosie is on the receiving end of a beatdown from those same monsters after [[spoiler:his attempt to MurderTheHypotenuse by stealing Red's [[TransformationTrinket Bond Plate]]]] puts Teltina in danger, forcing Rosie to shield her with his own body.
* LightningBruiser: Rosie is called [[WorldsStrongestMan the strongest swordsman]] and can even take the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser head-on in a contest of strength and push it back. In the end, Red is forced to TwinkleInTheSky Rosie by sending him flying with the wind produced by a swing of the Great Kizuna Sword, but even this isn't enough to kill Rosie.
* MadeOfIron: A subdued example. During the battle against the Appalling Beauty, Rosie gets poisoned, causing him to start bleeding from his eyes, requiring Idora to heal him. Despite nearly dying, [[spoiler: Shauha]] expresses shock that he survived long enough to be healed, as she claims that her poison could kill a dragon in a second.
* MakingASplash: The Sacred Sword's third form, Eveeene, turns the blade into jets of water that Rosie can manipulate to impale his foes.
* MasterSwordsman: Even before becoming the hero, Rosie garnered a name for himself as a powerful swordsman, with Teltina calling him the "strongest swordsman" in the present. He's able to effortlessly swap between the seven forms of the Royal Sacred Sword to slaughter monsters en masse. When he finally develops enough of a bond with Red to board the Kizuna Kaiser, Red trusts him to handle the Great Kizuna Sword because of Rosie's skills.
* NotQuiteFlight: His immense strength lets him jump great distances through the air while he propels himself along with the flames from Draglas.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Chapter nine starts with him not being mean to Red, but reveals that he was humbled and in awe of what happened when fighting Lurguat- he was able to see space and above the clouds. He thinks it's one of the most beautiful things that he's ever seen.
* PlayingWithFire: Rosie Mist's sword, the Sacred Sword Draglas, is able to transform to unleash waves of fire.
* PsychopathicManchild: Rosie has an astonishingly petty personality and feels entitled to be the only one Teltina can rely on to the expense of all else. His grudge against Red is entirely one-sided and he laughs when Red struggles even though it's detrimental to both of their goals. The way Teltina has to rein him in is compared to a mother scolding her child, and it's difficult to imagine him functioning properly in society without her. [[spoiler:When Teltina realizes a CommonalityConnection between her Red and smiles at him, Rosie is pushed over the edge and is willing to get Red killed and jeopardize the mission to liberate Akarina solely to get rid of what he thinks is a rival for Teltina's affections.]]
* RagsToRiches: Two years ago, he was a lonely adventurer sleeping on the streets because of how ostracized he was for lacking any kind of magical power. After meeting Teltina and becoming the hero, he has since gained fame, wealth, and glory, but none of it matters to him compared to Teltina's companionship.
* RedBaron: "The Demon Swordsman" for his monstrous strength and no-nonsense approach to fighting.
* RedOniBlueOni: Rosie is aloof, cynical, and anti-social Blue Oni to Red's HotBlooded, cheerful, and outgoing Red Oni. This also goes down to their powers. Red invokes ThePowerOfFriendship in all his attacks and considers the bonds he has with others to be his greatest strength, while Rosie's Sacred Sword will suck anyone else dry of magical power if they try to wield it.
* RocketPoweredWeapon: The Sacred Sword's second form, Draglas, includes a rocket booster in the back that engulfs the sword with fire and propels it with destructive force.
* ShipperOnDeck: Rosie, of all people, supports Red and Idora getting together, telling Red to "take responsibility" after Red put a band-aid around Idora's pricked ring finger while suggesting that ''any'' kind of ring-shaped object could be construed as a proposal ring. He also tells Poseidon about the bandage Red put around Idora's ring finger, prompting yet another FreudianThreat from the butler.
* SingleTargetSexuality: Rosie is obsessed with Princess Teltina and only has eyes for her, going onto say that it doesn't matter if everyone hates him so long as he has her love. To has chagrin, she seems to cherish him as a dear friend and bodyguard more than anything, and she quickly strikes up a friendship with Red. [[spoiler:This gets PlayedForDrama when it's revealed that he was ostracized his entire life until Teltina convinced him to become the hero with the promise of ending his loneliness by accepting him when no one else would.]]
* SmugSuper: He's well-aware of how strong he is and is proud of it, looking down upon all others while insisting that the only one Teltina needs to rely on is him.
* StrongAndSkilled: Even before becoming the Hero, Rosie had garnered a significant amount of renown for his skill with a sword as a BadassNormal. This reputation of his is what drew Teltina's attention and had her seek him out.
* ThisIsADrill: The Sacred Word's sixth form, Last Noir, takes the form of a spiraling lance that generates a whirlwing of black energy around it in a manner akin to a drill. Rosie describes using it as putting his all into a single attack, using it against Amen's DivingKick finisher attack. But both attacks are stopped by the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser before their power can be fully seen.
* {{Tsundere}}:
** Lampshaded. When Rosie finally develops enough of a bond with Red to board the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser, Rosie continues to insist that they do not have a bond. Meanwhile, Teltina [[LampshadeHanging asks why he's being so "tsun tsun" to Red]], and he takes command of the Kaiser's sword as "thanks for the view". Red also says that he doesn't hate Rosie's stubbornness. [[spoiler:Even after he saves Red's life by [[TakingTheBullet shoving him out of the way of Abu Dhabi's lethal attack]], Rosie refuses to call it anything but "a whim of mine".]]
** Later on, [[spoiler:Rosie refuses to follow up on Red's request to stop him from rampaging as Kizuna Black by killing him, screaming "Who'd take orders from you!?" before ripping the Black Bond Plate out to revert Red's transformation and save his life.]]
* TwinkleInTheSky: Misty is the victim of this after getting hit with the wind from Red's Great Kizuna Sword, landing in a forest far away enough that Red has to use his mech to fly over.
* UndyingLoyalty: He will do ''anything'' for Teltina and is so loyal that he can't imagine entrusting her to anyone else.
* UnSorcerer: Rosie is the first person in a thousand years to be born without magic of any kind. Because of this, he was [[AllOfTheOtherReindeer ridiculed and ostracized his whole life]] prior to becoming the hero. [[spoiler:Red's arrival turns him into a GreenEyedMonster, because his lack of magical power is what makes him unique, leading to Rosie's fear that Red would replace him as Teltina's hero.]]
* WhipSword: The Sacred Sword's fifth form, Gratosilv, turns the sword into an elongated fan of blades that work like whip. He can swing this around him to shred any nearby monsters like a blender.
* TheWorfEffect: The monster Red struggles against and has to pull out to Victory Kizuna Buster to defeat is effortlessly beaten by Rosie Mist to demonstrate how powerful he is. But Rosie starts to struggle just as much as Red as the threat level grows, even getting the DistressedDude treatment to emphasize how dangerous and esoteric the Seeds of Magic are.
* WorldsStrongestMan: Rosie Mist a former S-Rank Adventurer who retired to become the bodyguard of Princess Teltina. He's the strongest swordsman in the world and wields the sword that once used by the hero to seal away the demon king. Red compares him to the Breakup King's top brass, only even stronger, resorting to using the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser to defeat him.
* {{Yandere}}: Rosie is crazily possessive of Teltina and threatens anyone who gets close to her with the threat of death under the pretense of guarding her. [[spoiler:Even with an important mission to rescue an entire city and Teltina's own personal request for him to put aside his grudges and work with Red, Rosie's feelings of jealousy make him try to indirectly murder Red by stealing his Bond Plate so he can't transform and use his full power.]]
-->'''Rosie:''' How dare he act so friendly with Lady Teltina. I've never seen her smile like that before. Lady Teltina, I'm the only one you need to rely on for protection. Just who does he think he is? '''I'm the only hero you need.'''

The guardian of the Sun Forest where the ancient elves live. She possesses a TransformationTrinket similar to Red's, allowing her to become the Guardian of the Sun Forest, Amen.
----
* ActionGirl: Her array of powers and gadgets makes her a match for Rosie, albeit while he's trying to shield Teltina from Raniya's and the other elves' attacks.
* BadassBiker: Her powers come with the ability to summon a motorcycle to help her get around.
* BeneathTheMask: After loudly talking down to Rosie and battling him with reckless fervor, the heroes are surprised to see that she is in fact a shy and nice girl who is surprisingly cute. She admits that the HotBlooded, human-hating persona she showed earlier was a mask designed to cover up her own shyness and lack of confidence.
* BrokenPedestal: Raniya is dismayed to learn from her great-grandmother that the original Amen [[spoiler:was a skirt-chaser who constantly flirted and fooled around. It's [[RebuildPedestal quickly rebuilt]] when her great-grandmother goes on to explain how he saved the Sun Elves with his magical know-how and planted the Sun Forest after the original woodlands was reduced to sand, continuing to aid the Sun Elves until the day he died and never finding a way home.]]
* CoolBike: As per ''Kamen Rider'' tradition, Raniya is able to summon a motorcycle to get around when not in combat.
* EveryoneCanSeeIt: It's blatantly obvious to everyone that she has feelings for Azir. Once she has sense beaten into him, the two of them are often holding hands and running off to chat together when Raniya ''should'' be training.
* FeatherFlechettes: One of her transformations allows her to fly with a pair of wings attached to her arms as well as fling feathers as deadly projectiles.
* HalfHumanHybrid: Raniya a direct descendant of the original Amen, making her part human at the bare minimum, and a human from another world, no less.
* HenshinHero: Of the Kamen Rider variety. Like Red, she has a TransformationTrinket that allows her to transform into a costumed hero. Compared to Red's Sentai-themed powers, Raniya's are themed after ''Series/KamenRider'', complete with a DivingKick as a finisher attack.
* JerkassFacade: She talks down to humans when it's time to fight, but in reality it's just a mask she puts on to hide her own insecurities. In truth, none of the elves have any particular prejudice against humans, but she believes she needs to be intimidating as the the guardian of the Sun Forest.
* LazyBum: She'd be much more powerful if she weren't so averse to her great-grandmother's TrainingFromHell. Though she tries to deny it, Raniya often prefers to nap or run off with Azir than train. When her great-grandmother wakes up from her slumber, she decides to personally oversee Raniya's training to get her into fighting shape. Just a few hours of this training is enough to render her near-catatonic.
* LegacyCharacter: The original Amen was a hero from another world who traveled with the hero who sealed away the Demon Queen a thousand years ago. Raniya is the seventh Amen and the next chieftain of her village.
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: A desert elf who turns into an Ancient Egyptian-themed Kamen Rider. Yeah, she counts.
* PointyEars: Being an elf, her ears are long and pointy.
* ThePowerOfTheSun: Her transformed state is named after a god often combined with the Egyptian god of the sun and she can throw a fireball shaped like a miniature sun at her opponents. She's also the guardian of the Sun Forest where the elves reside.
* ReligiousAndMythologicalThemeNaming: Her transformed state is known as the Guardian of the Sun, Amen. Amen was the PatronGod of Thebes in Ancient Egypt and was often syncretized with the god of the sun, Ra as "Amun-Ra". This is reflected in Raniya's Egyptian-themed powers and the ability to create a miniature sun as an attack.
* WorfHadTheFlu: Her poor performance against Azir was mainly due to her being out of shape from slacking off from her training.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: In response to the outbreak of the Seeds of Magic and learning that they're being distributed and controlled by the Demon Queen Clan, he outlaws their use and charges Dariel to confiscate them from the nobles and Teltina to destroy any that weren't willing relinquished.

* BigBrotherInstinct: Despite his rudeness towards her, he does genuinely love Teltina and is quite protective of her when push comes to shove. [[spoiler:Unfortunately for everyone, this comes out at the worst possible moment, as a combination of shock from seeing his sister turn into a wolf-like creature and manipulation Vidan leads to him mistaking her for a Demi-Human who kidnapped and took her place. 465* SkewedPriorities: Despite being aware of the Demon Queen Clan and the threat they pose, he remains entirely focused on subjugating the Demi-Human Alliance.

The current Royal Scepter, the person who is entrusted with all magical research and regulation by the royal family. She gained the title after defeating the previous Scepter, Idora's father, in combat.
----
* {{Archenemy}}: Idora's goal is to defeat Shauha and take back the position of the Royal Scepter long held by the members of Idora's family.
* TheArchmage: She gained her title by defeating the previous Scepter, a position only given to the top mage, and has imposed severe restrictions on the development and use of magic and magic items, effectively granting her a monopoly on magic.
* AsskickingLeadsToLeadership: Shauha gained her current position by defeating the previous Scepter, Idora's father, in a WizardDuel.
* BenevolentMageRuler: Zigzagged. She's a {{Jerkass}} who relentlessly ridicules Idora's idealism and dream of a world where everyone can use magic. But Shauha backs up her points with solid evidence and uses her severe regulations as a means of curbing injuries, deaths, and crime caused by the widespread use of magic and magic items, showing that she takes her role and the lives of others seriously.
* BigDamnHeroes: She appears out of nowhere in Chapter 6 to force Abu Dhabi to retreat and stop the transformed denizens of Akarina from destroying their beloved city.
* CombatTentacles: Her first showing of magic in the story summons tentacles that sprout from the ground to grab whatever she wishes them to.
* CourtMage: Being the Royal Scepter, she is entrusted by the royal family to deal with all things related to magic, was it researching it or managing it.
* DealWithTheDevil: Idora suspects that Shauha has some connection with the Demon Queen's Clan to obtain the Seeds of Magic. While this is indeed true, Shauha has no allegiance with the demons and is merely using them for her own research. As a result, she couldn't move against them until they attacked one of the kingdom's cities in-person.
* EvilSorcerer: Idora describes her as only using magic for knight orders and royal families, and them treating war and civilians as nothing more than "tools" to be used for their own selfish gain. Then it's subverted when Shauha reveals that her "monopoly" is her imposing restrictions and requiring licensing to develop and use magic items because of the injuries and deaths caused by the lack of regulation.
* TheFaceless: Earlier chapters cover her face with what appears to be a mask with a symbol on it. Between this and her robes, it's impossible to determine her gender until she takes it off in chapter 6, when she appears out of the blue to entangle the rampaging monsters in Akarina.
* TheGhost: In the opening chapters, she would only show up in Teltina and Idora's memories. This changed in Chapter 6, when she showed up for real.
* HasAType: Idora offhandedly wonders if she has a thing for young boys after noting that all her assistants are ones.
* HeroAntagonist: Idora considers Shauha her {{Archenemy}} for unseating her father as the Royal Scepter. But when the heroes finally meet her, Shauha is shown to be a remarkably competent (if caustic) bureaucrat and magician working toward what she sees as the betterment of society.
* InstantRunes: She's able to instantly deploy a magical circle to teleport the heroes all the way to the Imperial Capital with no apparent effort.
* {{Jerkass}}: When she finally makes her debut, she spends her first few lines mocking Idora before handily addressing a problem that Idora is struggling with. Even after bringing the heroes to the imperial capital to take care of Teltina, she takes every opportunity to [[SillyRabbitIdealismIsForKids deconstruct Idora's dream of making the world a better place through the proliferation of magic]].
* JerkassHasAPoint:
** She scoffs at Idora's dream of a world where magic can be used freely to bring people smiles, citing incident after incident of the misuse of magic and magic items causing harm due to lack of oversight and regulation. Her decision to only allow those who have been specially trained and licensed to produce and use magic items seems draconian from Idora's standpoint, but Red admits that Shauha's logic makes sense, as his world has similar measures to restrict the use of drugs, cars, medicine, and guns. After she's had time to think about it, Idora even agrees to a degree that more restrictions make sense if it's for safety's sake... but she still thinks that Shauha is too strict (which Red also agrees with).
** Flashbacks show that the magical researchers are far happier working under Shauha than they were with Idora's father, as they now have a stable income and don't have to worry so much about things backfiring on them with Shauha's new regulations.
* SamusIsAGirl: Due to her robe covering her figure and her mask covering her face, it was hard to tell Shauha's gender as none of the other characters were giving any indications. Her first in-person appearance is less of a twist by that alone and more due to her removing her mask to introduce herself.
* {{Tsundere}}: As prickly and unfriendly as she is, when Idora admits that she admires her BrutalHonesty, she can only blush and futilely claim that [[BlatantLies her praise doesn't please her at all]].

----
* BigBrotherIsWatching: His magic means that he has an ear and eye everywhere in Akarina. If anyone breaks his laws, his monsters will be summoned to punish them.
* CombatPragmatist: He never fights fair, sending his constantly respawning supply of monsters after the heroes and having them teleport into their blind spots rather than letting them fight back. When Rosie's skill and powers make him impervious to these tricks, Lurguat instead sends the monsters after Teltina, forcing Rosie to shield her with his own body.
* ControlFreak: He's obsessed with maintaining complete order in his city and is willing to threaten his own townsfolk with torture and whipping solely to get them to kowtow to his desires.
* DisproportionateRetribution: Breaking any of the laws he's imposed on Akarina will be subject to a whipping at best and a bone-breaking beating at worst. This includes minor offenses like breaking curfew and speaking too loudly.

* FlunkyBoss: Lurguat has no ability to fight of his own, instead summoning his teleporting monsters to do it for him.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: After he and his demons are defeated, the Seed of Magic inside of him goes berserk, overwhelming his body and turning him into a giant mass of flesh large enough to flatten all of Akarina should it fall. Luckily, not only is this ''exactly'' the sort of move that Red has trained for and battled against, Red has the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser to push it into outer space where it can be safely destroyed.
* SorcerousOverlord: He's the feudal lord of Akarina who uses the Privilege-type summoning magic granted to him by a Seed of Magic to enforce a brutal police state. Anyone who speaks out against him, talks about him, causes a commotion, or breaks curfew will be subject to a vicious bone-breaking beating or whipping.
* SquishyWizard: As dangerous as his monsters are, Lurguat is but an old man and is easily defeated by Red and Rosie once they finally work together to plow through Lurguat's summons.
* VillainTeleportation: Lurguat's monsters have the ability to instantly appear in his enemy's blind spots, making dodging and countering incredibly difficult.
* WeaksauceWeakness: As formidable as his monsters' TeleportSpam is, it can be countered by two sufficiently strong fighters fighting as BackToBackBadasses to remove any blind spots for the monsters to teleport into. The only reason he isn't defeated sooner is because of Rosie's resilience to the idea of fighting alongside Red along with the difficulties arising from their own fighting styles.

The feudal lord of Kukuja City and Raniya's ChildhoodFriend. He became cold and distant after the death of his father in an uprising and now controls his territory with an iron fist with the help of a Seed of Magic.
----
* AntiVillain: [[spoiler:Losing his father to rioters frustrated by the feudal lord's apparent favoritism towards the elves]] convinced him that mutual coexistence between the two race was impossible. With this in mind, Azir resolves to subjugate the Sun Forest as quickly and nonviolently as possible in order to avoid a supposedly inevitable bloody conflict. However, his JerkassFacade becomes painfully apparent throughout the arc and [[spoiler:learning that the rioters were being controlled by Vidan seals his HeelFaceTurn.]]
* EvilFormerFriend: He was a ChildhoodFriend of Raniya's who later declared his desire to subjugate the elves and the Sun Forest and ordering Raniya to hand over the power of Amen. Subverted later on, as it's shown that while he's antagonistic, he's not quite the evil overlord he makes himself out to be and genuinely wants to end the conflict between the humans and the Sun Elves.
* ExplainingYourPowersToTheEnemy: Subverted. He claims to be able to turn anything he touches into sand. But that is quickly disproven when Red and Raniya are about to go to town on him. While he manages to restrain both of them, he doesn't turn either of them into sand. So while he ''can'' turn non-living things into sand, he either can't or does not want to do it to living things.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:After being defeated and learning that Vidan had not only been been manipulating him along but even caused the riot that caused killed his father, he devotes himself to making amends for all the trouble he's caused.]]
* HenshinHero: [[spoiler:After defeating Raniya, he stole her TransformationTrinket, temporarily giving him the ability to turn into Amen]]
* HomeFieldAdvantage: Azir's ability to turn any non-living thing into sand means that he's already a WalkingWasteland who can turn anything into a death trap. But the fact that the Sun Forest and Kukuja City are located in a desert means that he has as much sand as he wants to wreak havoc upon his foes.
* JerkassFacade: Like Raniya, it becomes increasingly clear that Azir's cold stoicism is a mask he puts on and he cares much more deeply than he lets on. But he feels he has to harden himself to prevent further bloodshed. So he threatens to enslave and subjugate all the elves as well as destroy their forest. But he chooses a battlefield far from the Sun Forest when he actually comes to blows with Raniya and Red to avoid causing collateral damage.
* NoSell: [[spoiler:After transforming into a monster made entirely out of sand, he becomes immune to all of the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser's attacks, as he simply reforms into a massive sandstorm when dispersed. It takes Idora making use of Kizuna Energy through Raniya's bond with Azir to forcibly put him back together to finish the fight.]]
* SandBlaster: His Privilege Magic gives him command over sand. He can turn any non-living thing into sand with a touch and shape it into a massive golem to protect himself with. He is also able to seemingly stop time, freezing everyone in his surroundings but himself, though both Red and Raniya are both able to percieve what's happening, as this is just another layer of sand control- he's just holding people in place using the sand that is covering their bodies from walking through the desert.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Raniya describes Azir as a frivolous and chatty person in his youth who constantly encouraged her when she was feeling down. In the present, Azir is a much sterner person who believes he has to subjugate Raniya and her people to promote "true coexistence", though it becomes increasingly clear that this is a JerkassFacade.

One of the mercenaries hired by Azir to assist in the subjugation of the Sun Forest. His Seed of Magic allows him to manipulate magical cards in a variety of ways, including trapping living beings in them, which he uses to capture the Elves as hostages.
----
* AndIMustScream: People trapped in his cards are still fully aware of the world around them.
* CardsOfPower: His cards are capable of absorbing, trapping, and releasing anything they come in contact with, from people, monsters, objects, and even magic spells. He can also use the card themselves as [[DeathDealer weapons and armor]].
* TheCollector: In addition to the elves he's held hostage, he has a particular collection of cards filled with beautiful women who rejected him in the past, one of which he fully intends to add Idora and Teltina to.
* LecherousLicking: While explaining his hobby of kidnapping women and treating them like trading cards, he licks Princess Teltina's card, much to her disgust.
* MoreDespicableMinion: He's a perverted {{Jerkass}} who lacks any of Azir's more noble qualities.
* ShoutOut: Between his crazy hairstyle, magical cards that can summon a variety of creatures and trap people within them, and the fact that he calls his power Torment Confine Girl (TCG) Binder, it's pretty clear that he's meant to be a reference to the [[Franchise/YuGiOh Yu-Gi-Oh!]] series. Though his perverted and scummy personality is more akin to a pre-Duelist Kingdom era antagonist.
* TheStarscream: Upon trapping Rosie and seemingly defeating Idora, he gets a swollen head and contemplates double-crossing Azir and taking over the Sun Forest for himself. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't get the chance.
* VisualPun: After trapping Idora, he begins to gloat, only for her to reveal that she left a seal containing explosion magic on the edge of the card right as she was being sucked into. It proceeds to activate, causing his act of trapping her in a card to quite literally blow up in his face.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Neither he nor the various women he had trapped within cards are seen after his defeat, though in the case of the latter, Idora proclaims that everyone was freed after she beat him, indicating that they were released offscreen.

* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:In Chapter 26, He's seen along with Azir and the elves wishing Raniya luck as she leaves the village to join Red and his party.]]

The son of the feudal lord of Nisvale and a Privilege Magic-user. He casts a spell over an entire city that reverts adults to their childhood and renders them incapable of perceiving anything that could remind them of harsh reality.
----
* NumberOneDime: His first toy, an action figure modeled after the original Legendary Hero, is Conrad's most prized possession. He carries it with him everywhere he goes and loves showing it off to others. His love for it inspired his toy collecting hobby.
* BerserkButton: Damaging his toys in any way will incur his wrath. Unfortunately, a mentally regressed Red accidentally torches Conrad's entire collection by instinctively using his TransformationSequence. Idora and Rosie are not impressed when they learn this as Red flees an enormous toy dragon.
* ChildrenAreInnocent: Invoked by his Privilege Magic, Neverdream Syndrome, which prevents the adults changed into children from percieving wicked and uncomfortable things happening in front of them. The reverted Red and Teltina are completely oblivious to Idora and Rosie being kidnapped in front of them. However, Red eventually catches on due to his nagging sense that some thing was wrong and his bonds with Idora and Rosie.
* EmbarrassingHobby: Conrad's toy-collecting hobby was considered suitable for a child but not an adult. His fiance calls off their ArrangedMarriage after discovering his collection and outed its existence to the world, leading others to scorn and mock Conrad for his childish pastime.
* FountainOfYouth: His Privilege Magic forcibly regresses adults who long for the past into children with no memories of their adult lives. He can also use a direct version to regress people immune to the regular version's effects, but the victims retain their memories.
* FreudianExcuse: Conrad's childhood was spent entirely on being educated to become the next head of house. He was not allowed to have friends or hobbies until his butler, Hades, pitied him and bought him a toy to cheer him up. This toy became Conrad's NumberOneDime and the only source of joy in his life. His love for this toy soon spiraled into a fixation on collecting toys in an attempt to reclaim his childhood. Conrad's reputation is destroyed when his hobby is exposed, leading to scorn from his father and the people he was supposed to govern. Because of this, Vidala is able to tempt him into using a Seed of Magic to create his perfect utopia where he can return to being a child and never be judged again. His sympathetic backstory and ultimately harmless methods make him the first Privilege Magic user to be talked down by Red rather than defeated.
* HarmlessVillain: Compared to the other Privilege Magic users who used their powers to terrorize others, Conrad genuinely believes that letting people return to their childhood would make them happier. All of the people reverted to children are allowed to play, eat snacks, sleep, and fool around as they please, attended to by the toy robots created by his Privilege Magic. The worst thing he does is force others who do not want to be children to become children and imprison them for opposing him. He's confused when Red opposes him and is ultimately talked into releasing the magic willingly before having a HeelFaceTurn to help Red oppose Vidala.
* HeelFaceTurn: Red relates to him through their shared appreciation for collecting with and playing with toys. This, combined with Red's promise to help Conrad create a world where no one is made fun of for loving toys, convinces Conrad to willingly stand down. When Vidala takes umbrage with this, Conrad uses his Privilege Magic one last time to give the heroes the edge they need to defeat her rampaging turtle dragon. To emphasize the point, he forms enough of a bond with Red to board the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser.
* LonelyRichKid: Conrad's father groomed him to inherit the position of lord of Nisvale from an early age. Conrad's father isolated him from other people, not allowing him to have friends or hobbies and made him study all day. This left Conrad depressed and lonely until his butler bought a toy for him out of pity. This gave Conrad so much joy that he became obsessed with collecting toys and playing with them behind closed doors.
* {{Manchild}}: Conrad is an adult who has taken the form of a child because of his regrets about not experiencing a normal childhood and getting to play with others his age.
* MerchandiseDriven: His backstory and motivations are largely a reference to this. His town has various stage plays of past heroes upon which a massive toyline is based. Also, his first reaction on seeing Kizuna Kaizer is to ask where he can get the toy version.
* {{Otaku}}: Due to being deprived of a normal childhood by his [[EducationMama stern, serious father who made him study all day]], Conrad developed a fixation on collecting toys as a way of experiencing his buried desire to play. While this was a harmless hobby at first, his arranged marriage to a wealthy heiress falls through after she discovers him playing with these toys. The resulting scorn he got from the public and his father led to Conrad's StartOfDarkness and the core of his Privilege Magic.
* RealityWarper: Conrad's Privilege Magic enforces rules on reality in a manner far surpassing any other Privilege Magic seen before it, automatically turning any adult who steps into Nisvale into a child if they long for the past. His "Neverdream Wonderland" spell lets him forcibly transform the entire city into a cartoonish version of itself under his control, letting him repair any damage dealt to it and fill the streets with life-sized toys to terrorize his enemies.
* SayingTooMuch: Idora realizes that Conrad is the mastermind behind the events of Nisvale after he mentions the "adults disappearing". Given that the Privilege Magic enforces ChildrenAreInnocent and eliminates any memories of the victims' adult lives, Conrad should have no memories of any adults unless he's the one causing the events.
* SkewedPriorities: Seeing the Kizuna Beasts for the first time leaves Conrad awestruck even as said Beasts are coming straight for him. He's too busy gazing up at them in awe to get out of the way as his toy soldiers are smashed by Red's robots.
* StartOfDarkness: His toy-collecting habit was nothing more than an EmbarrassingHobby until his fiancee discovered his collection. She was so disgusted by the thought of her future husband playing with toys all day that she calls off the marriage and outs this to the world. This put enormous pressure on Conrad and his father, who continued to browbeat Conrad until he snapped and succumbed to the temptation to use the Seeds of Magic to create his ideal playground where he'll never be judged.

* DirtyCoward: Targeting children and taking hostages are among Elmario's ''first'' resorts in a fight. And if that wasn't bad enough, the moment Red and Rosie get the upper hand, his first instinct is to flee.
* DishingOutDirt: Oregano can summon large boulders to fling at opponents.

----
* BrawnHilda: She has an incredible broad frame,
* ClimaxBoss: She's the final Privilege Magic holder the heroes face before heading overseas to the Demi-Human Alliance's territory and forces them to pull out all the stops in order to beat her. This includes [[spoiler:Red transforming into [[SuperPoweredEvilSide Kizuna Black]] once again, Amen pulling a BigDamnHeroes, and Prince Daniel unleashing the [[{{BFG}} Vulthoom]] prototype]] in that order to finally defeat her.
* DrillSergeantNasty: The entire reason she was ousted from the royal knight order was because her training methods were so extreme that it caused many young knights to become injured and even quit all together.
* MesACrowd: Her Privilege Magic lets her spawn a seemingly limitless amount of clones of herself. The only way to stop her is to wipeout all of them in one fell swoop, which is easier said than done.

* AlwaysChaoticEvil: Every demon encountered thus far have been remorseless devils with no regard for human life
* BigBadDuumvirate: Though Domad is the de-facto leader of the family, they are more-or-less equal partners in crime.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Vicious, bloodthirsty monsters they may be, but love each other and their mother all the the same.
* OurDemonsAreDifferent: They are the children of the Demon Queen, who she herself [[spoiler:is a member of the Finalis Dominus, a race of interdimensional monsters capable of subverting the cycle of life and death.]]
* YouCantThwartStageOne: Since Silver predicted the Demon Queen's revival and her predictions are shown numerous times to always be accurate, it means that the Demon Queen's Clan is destined to successfully revive her regardless of Red or anyone else's efforts.

A member of the Demon Queen's clan known as "the Laughing Abu Dhabi" and one of the Demon Queen's children. He's the one responsible for spreading the Seeds of Magic in an attempt to revive the Demon Queen and the first of the Demon Queen's Clan to directly oppose the heroes.
----
* BreakingSpeech: He tries to instill doubt in Red and call him a {{Hypocrite}}, asking if a Warrior of Bonds like him would really be willing to sever the bonds between the demons trying to revive the Demon Queen. [[ShutUpHannibal Red rebukes him]], stating that bonds formed with evil intentions deserve to be severed, especially if they're forged solely to destroy the bonds of others.
* CombatPragmatist: He ambushes the heroes right after forcing them to deal with Lurguat, hoping that they'll be too spent to fight back. [[spoiler:He later impales Red before he can transform to prevent him from fighting back after the heroes had already used a lot of energy defeating Azir.]]
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Abu Dhabi claims to love the Demon Queen for laughing at his jokes, asking if Red would really be willing to sever the bond between Abu Dhabi and the other demons. It's unclear how much stock he actually puts into this, given that he was clearly trying to guilt-trip Red, merely calling it a pity that Red didn't kill himself over it. The later meeting with other members of the Demon Queen's Clan seems to indicate that he ''does'' love the Demon Queen, but he's not above lying to get an advantage. Red later tries to use this to find common ground between humans and demons. Seeing that they are genuinely capable of love, Red asks if there is any way demons could live alongside humans after reviving the Demon Queen. Abu Dhabi actually pauses for a moment to consider this, but explains it's impossible since the Demon Queen is hellbent on wiping out humanity.
* EvilSorcerer: While he's no slouch in melee, Abu Dhabi seems to prefer to use magical attacks, as his most dangerous attacks cause powerful magical explosions.
* FloatingLimbs: Abu Dhabi is able to create countless floating hands to attack, restrain, and impede his foes, letting him take on both Red and Rosie at the same time. Abu Dhabi can also detonate them at will in a powerful explosion, incapacitating both heroes.
* HavingABlast: Abu Dhabi can detonate the FloatingLimbs he creates to produce explosions powerful enough to leave Red and Rosie struggling to get to their feet after taking it. Another one of his attacks, Big Smile, drops a sunflower-shaped weapon made of hands hard enough to explode, with Abu Dhabi saying that he intended to reduce Red to dust with it.
* HeroKiller: [[spoiler:He claims to have killed numerous otherworlders before Red, knowing full well how dangerous one of them can be and moving to kill them before they can derail the Demon Queen's plans.]]
* KnightOfCerebus: When he first appears, he's by far the most powerful enemy the heroes have faced yet, taking on Red and Rosie at the same time and outwitting them with explosively powerful attacks. He's the most openly vile of the foes they fought, laughing gleefully at the misery and destruction he creates, and reveals the story's MythArc by explaining his plans to revive the Demon Queen.
* MagicKnight: He specializes in magical attacks, creating explosions powerful enough to leave Red and Rosie beaten in craters with a snap of his fingers. But he's no slouch in melee either, keeping both heroes at bay with his WhipSword.
* MeaningfulAppearance: For a character in a fantasy world, he looks remarkably like a sentai series antagonist...
* MonsterClown: He possesses a jester-like appearance and is a monstrous sadist of a demon.
* MoralMyopia: Abu Dhabi complains about how unfair it is for the humans to try to sever the demons' bond with their mother, the Demon Queen... all while gleefully manipulating humans and attempting to murder them for no reason other than personal enjoyment and the resurrection of the Demon Queen.
* PerpetualSmiler: Abu Dhabi's face is a clown's mask that's always showing an enormous SlasherSmile. The smile doesn't leave his face even when he's annoyed.
* ShadowArchetype: To Red. Abu Dhabi actually [[HannibalLecture calls Red out for valuing his bonds over those the demon clan feel for each other]] and Red seems shaken by how ''sincere'' those feelings are before retaliating that [[ShutUpHannibal that bonds which necessitate the pain and destruction of others are not worth protecting]].
* SlasherSmile: Abu Dhabi's mask is constantly wearing one of these.
* TaughtByExperience: [[spoiler:Given that the Demon Queen was sealed away by the original Hero's Party of otherworlder {{Henshin Hero}}es, Abu Dhabi is well-aware that otherworlders have enormous potential to disrupt his plans to revive the Demon Queen, going after them and killing them before they can learn what's going on. He's also annoyed when Red suddenly powers up from UnstoppableRage, saying that this is exactly what he was trying to avoid by finishing Red off quickly.]]
* WhipSword: His main weapon is a staff with a whip covered in jagged blades called "Junk Smile". It boasts extreme sharpness and durability, allowing it to clash evenly with Rosie's Sacred Sword and whip around to strike at odd angles. Rosie fears that one misstep would lead to his arm getting sliced off.

----
* BewareTheSillyOnes: His motives are goofy and he's an effeminate SissyVillain. He's also more than willing to stir up racism and induce violent riots to manipulate others and commit wholesale mass murder.
* CombatPragmatist: Like Abu Dhabi, Vidan drops in the after the heroes have already exhausted themselves battling the monsters he helped create with Seeds of Magic instead of fighting them at full strength. When Red tries to fight back, Vidan aims for the helpless villagers instead in hopes of driving Red into despair.
* DisappointedByTheMotive: This is the heroes' universal reaction to learning that Vidan wants to marry the Demon Queen, his mother, and repeatedly point out how this is ParentalIncest. Even Red says there's something seriously wrong with Vidan for wanting this.
* LosingYourHead: Red incinerates everything below Vidan's head [[spoiler:during his berserk rage as Kizuna Black]]. The only reason why Vidan survives at all is because Abu Dhabi managed to spirit Vidan away before Red could finish him off.
* ManBehindTheMan: Using a bit of mental domination, he was able to mastermind most of the Forest of the Sun arc, fomenting the rebellion, driving up tensions between elves and humans, and providing the Seeds of Magic.
* ParentalIncest: He's so in love with the Demon Queen that he wants to marry her despite her being his mother.
* {{Sadist}}: He gleefully admits to being the one who stirred up the anti-elf riots in Kukuja City that led to the murder of Azir's father.
* ShapingYourAttacks: His Bridal Blade attack has him shape an enormous sword out of lightning and bringing it down on his opponent's head.
* ShockAndAwe: He attacks primarily by raining lightning bolts from the sky. His strongest attack is an enormous blade shaped out of electricity.
* SissyVillain: He's an effeminate-looking man who dreams of marrying his mother, something the heroes point out is childish at best and mentally deranged at worst. But he's still a member of the Demon Clan and just as dangerous as his siblings.
* TheWorfEffect: He's just as dangerous as Abu Dhabi and has the exhausted heroes on the ropes following the battle with Azir. [[spoiler:So he and Abu Dhabi get utterly pummeled by Red as Kizuna Black to demonstrate the ferocity and dangerousness of this SuperpoweredEvilSide.]]

Another member of the Demon Queen's clan. She wants to revive the Demon Queen so she can play with her again, using humans as sadistic toys. She is one of the most instrumental in the Clan's revival of the Demon Queen, by using her prediction ability to see the future and set up events... except that she seems to have a bit of a blind spot involving Kizuna Red.
----
* CombatPragmatist: She doesn't fight the heroes at full power, choosing to make her move only after Conrad has already reverted them into mostly helpless children.
* PowerCopying: Vidala's true power is the ability to "make-believe" and "play" as anyone she's seen with her eyes, including her eye-shaped minions. As a result, she has all the powers of the Legendary Hero, the God of War, the Sword Saint, the Grand Wizard, Amen, and [[spoiler:Kizuna Silver]]. While this makes her incredibly dangerous, she winds up being a MasterOfNone due to not practicing with all of these powers, allowing Red to pummel her in a straight fight as the only one immune to her copied Foresight.
* PsychopathicManchild: Her idea of "fun" is to take humans apart and use them to build dollhouses and to pin them in display cases like insects as trophies or models. She treats this all with the same kind of whimsy as a child playing house.
* {{Seers}}: Vidala's ability to predict the future is able to predict the future perfectly... unless Red steps in. She openly states that Idora was supposed to die to the mana metal-hoarding dragon, and Azir was supposed to kill Amen and the Sun Forest Elves. She couldn't see Red's interference, and thus is frustrated when he keeps messing up her visions. [[spoiler:This is because her powers are copied from Kizuna Silver, whose spirit prevents Vidala from seeing Red's involvement in the future.]]
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Among the Demon Queen's Clan's upper hierarchy, she appears to be the only female member revealed so far, excluding the Demon Queen herself.
* ThirdPersonPerson: She continually refers to herself as "Vi-chan" in the third-person while playing around with the heroes.
* UnskilledButStrong: She has all the skills and powers of everyone she's ever seen and can see her foes' every move beore they make it, making her a theoretically nightmarish opponent for the heroes. In-practice, she's spent so much time scheming with the aid of her copied Foresight that she hasn't been actively practicing to use them in a real fight. Red can pummel her solo when Abu Dhabi and Vidan were able to overwhelm Red and Rosie simultaneously.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/domad_red_ranger.PNG]]

A four-armed giant with a seemingly gentle personality, he wants to revive the Demon Queen because her cooking was the only food that could satisfy him. He's the most important member of the clan, because he's able to destroy the seals keeping the Demon Queen imprisoned. While he keeps a calm demeanor most of the time, he's shown to have the ability to get really mad when everyone is fighting.
----
* BerserkButton: Seeing his siblings argue makes him furious.
* BigEater: He's constantly hungry and only the Demon Queen's cooking seems to satisfy him. He's even introduced eating the meat from the carcass of what appears to be a dragon, only for his stomach to continue growling afterward.
* DragonInChief: Since the Demon Queen is currently sealed away, Domad is the de-facto leader and strongest member of the clan.
* TheDreaded: Though he's typically pretty easygoing, the sight of his anger is enough to scare his siblings into stopping their fight immediately. [[spoiler:When Red attempts to chase Vidala back to the Demon Queen Clan's lair, just one glance at Domad leaves the typically fearless Ranger more terrified than he was facing the Breakup King alone.]]
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: Comes with the territory of him being a towering demon with four muscular limbs.

[[folder: The Appalling Beauty (Unmarked Spoilers!)]]
!!Shauha
The true form of of the Royal Scepter, Shauha, the Appalling Beauty is the unseen member of the Demon Queen's Clan first alluded to back in chapter 15.2. Despite playing the role of the cruel yet diligent Royal Scepter, her true goal is to assist in the resurrection of her mother by subverting humanity's progress in the advancement of magic.

For tropes regarding her human disguise, see above.
----
* AttackReflector: Cthugha [[SpaceMaster bends space]] in orders to reflect attacks back to her opponents.
* AwesomeByAnalysis: She's able to develop a counter for Red's attacks after just a brief scuffle with him.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. Shauha was always a nasty piece of work even before the reveal, but she at least came across as a [[GoodIsNotNice a stern but fair]] JerkWithAHeartOfGold. In reality, she's a demon who has be actively sabotaging humanity by restricting magical research.
* BlowYouAway: She's capable of summoning a tornado strong enough to deflect attacks from [[spoiler:Kizuna Red: Burning Blood]] by casting Hastur.
* BodyHorror: The marks on her arms are able to turn into mouths.
* CombatTentacles: Her signature Chtuhlu, which she uses to even greater affect than her human disguise.
* DealWithTheDevil: Aside from being a literal demon, she joined the Avalost Empire as the Royal Scepter and advanced its use in magical tools for the sole purpose of ultimately weakening humanity and paving the way for the Demon Queen's revival.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: She has a genuine love for technological advancement, as seen when she admires how far the Demi-Human Capital has developed in such a short time and comments that it's a waste to destroy it.
* EvilSorceress: She plays this role painfully straight compared to her human disguise.
* TheGhost: She's the only member of the Demon Queen's Clan shown on screen when the rest of her kin were revealed, simply being said to be on an important mission. It's later revealed in Chapter that this important mission is infiltrating human society as Shauha Shemhazar, the Magic Scepter of the Avalost Empire.
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: She decides to flee from Red's party after he manages to break her arm, though not before setting her fortress to self-destruct and destroy the Demi-Human Capital.
* LovecraftLite: Her all of her spells are named after Lovecraftian deities
* MoleInCharge: Shauha is the head of the Avalost Empire's magical development and regulation as well as one of the Demon Queen's children plotting to release her "Mama" from containment.
* PoisonousPerson: The spell Hastalyk releases a deadly poison released from her arm mouths that is capable of instantly killing a dragon. She's flabbergasted when Rosie manages to cling to life long enough for Idora to treat him.
* SamusIsAGirl: She's initially referred to as "that guy" before her true identity is revealed.
* VillainHasAPoint: Despite claiming that she only placed such harsh restrictions on the usage of magical tools to weaken humanity, Idora acknowledges that limiting access to them isn't an inherently bad idea, even if she disagrees with the limit itself.

[[folder: The Demon Queen]]
!!The Demon Queen
An extremely powerful demon, she ravaged the world one thousand years ago before being sealed away by the Legendary Hero and his party. She gave birth to multiple demons, who she by all accounts loved and treated well. These children then formed the Demon Queen's Clan. When she was sealed away, five giant statues sealed her, but by the time the story starts, three have been destroyed.
----
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: By all accounts, she's a genuinely good mother who loved and cherished her children as any decent mother would. Now if only she wasn't a genocidal demon hellbent on destruction.
* TheGhost: Thus far, due to her being sealed up, she hasn't made a full appearance yet- though a glimpse of her can be seen, sealed away, during the meeting of the Demon Queen's children.
* GreaterScopeVillain: Most of the story's events are the result of her children's efforts to unseal her.
* MaouTheDemonKing: She's a GenericDoomsdayVillain called the Demon Queen who tried to destroy humanity and turn it into her children's playthings a thousand years before the present.
* OneDegreeOfSeparation: [[spoiler:She's the same species as the Breakup King and has the same ability to subvert the cycle of reincarnation.]]
* SealedEvilInACan: She was sealed away by the Legendary Hero a millennia ago, with her release being the goal of her children.
* SexyDimorphism: [[spoiler:While the male members of the Finalis Dominus species are barely humanoid monsters, the Demon Queen is a bombshell CuteMonsterGirl.]]
* SheIsTheKing: She is referred to as the "Maou" or "the Demon King/Lord" despite being a woman. Subverted in the English localization, which refers to her as the "Demon Queen".

!!Captain Pynas Monet

The Captain of the Demi-Human Alliance's coastguard, the Mermaid Navy. She and her subordinates are the first people our heroes encounter upon arriving at the Irgina Continent and serves as their guide to Professor Patchwork.
----
* BunnyEarsLawyer: While she states that she's guiding the heroes to keep an eye on them since the majority of them are humans, she has no problem taking the opportunity to drink on the job.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: It's implied that she suffered a great deal before the Professor revolutionized the continent. While she explained how awful life was there and how mermaids were especially mistreated, we see a panel of her trapped in a glass case while being bound by a chain.
* NeutralFemale: When negotiations between Red and Betrayis predictably breakdown and the Professor sics his creations on them, Pynas makes no effort to help or hinder Red and his friends.
* SirensAreMermaids: She and all other mermaids possess incredible singing voices.

[[folder:The Artificial Demi-Humans]]
!!The Artificial Demi-Humans

A group of Demi-Humans who have modified by Professor Betrayis by their free will. They consist of Trigger Harpy, a harpy who legs have been replaced with gatling guns, Dullahank, a dullahan who's body has been converted into a tank, and Heracles Great Lizard, a lizardman fused with a railgun. They're… not quite as impressive as they sound.
----
* {{Cyborg}}: [[NonIndicativeName Despite their name]], they're actually natural-born Demi-Humans who were physically disabled street urchins before allowing the Professor to modify them with mechanical enhancements.
* FakeUltimateMook: Betrayis devotes a whole page to introducing and hyping them up as they go to battle against Red and company… only for all of them to be defeated exactly one page later. Betrayis is left stunned.
[[/folder]]

!!!The Doppel Anothers (Unmarked Spoilers!)

[[folder:In General]]

The Doppel Anothers or the "Kizuna Red Verse" as they refer to themselves are Doppelgängers, Demi-Humans with the ability to copy a target's appearance, memories and abilities, modified by Professor Betrayis to be able to observe parallel realities. With this ability, they have observed and mimicked alternate versions of Togo Asagaki, essentially becoming clones of these counterparts.
----
* TheAce: They are the crown jewel of Betrayis's millennia of research and his trump card against the Demon Queen, and seeing as how they were capable of defeating Red, Rosie and Amen, the Professor has every reason to be confident in their abilities.
* AllianceOfAlternates: Downplayed. The Doppel Anothers are not the actual alternate versions of Red but demi-humans surgically modified by Betrayis to be able to take on the appearance, powers, personalities, and memories of others after observing them in parallel realities. However, their mimicry is so complete that they're effectively the same people, but are completely loyal to Betrayis due to the circumstances of their creation. However, even this loyalty is superceded by their affection for Idora, who is the most precious person in the real versions' lives.
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Betrayis created them with the express purpose of being superior to his version of Red just so he wouldn't have to ask him for his help against the Demon Queen.
* CopiedTheMoralsToo: Betrayis stated that he manipulated their memories to make them loyal to him, but bemoans that was the extent of his power over them, he couldn't do a thing about their overall personalities. This bites him in the ass as the sight of Idora not only makes them instantly stop fighting Red and his friends right as they were about to finish them off, but also lead them straight to his inner sanctum. This leads to Betrayis deeming them defective and warping them back to his lab for further tuning.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: [[spoiler:The lab they were being kept in was destroyed by Shauha just after Betrayis finally agreed to assist Red's party in defeating the Demon Queen's Clan.]]
* HavingABlast: As expected from any version of Red, they love themselves some gratuitous explosions.
* InSpiteOfANail: It seems that no matter what universe, regardless of gender or nationality, Togo Asagaki is always destined to become Kizuna Red and is always destined to meet and become enamored with Idora.
* HeroAntagonist: Most of them are every bit the HotBlooded AllLovingHero this world's Red is, with the only reason they fight Red, Rosie and Raniya being their loyalty towards Betrayis and even then, they immediately drop all hostilities the moment they see Idora.
* PowerLimiter: Betrayis created numerous safeguards in case the Doppel Anothers ever turned on him, including a forced detransformation sequence. But Bad End removed said limiters with his Bond Energy in pursuit of revenge, allowing him to be much more creative and dangerous to match his new darker personality.

[[folder:The Cyborg]]
!!Togoro Asagaki / Kizuna Red

A version of Togo Asagaki who became a cyborg. He has a simpler, Showa-era inspired appearance and has a bad habit of talking too much.
----
* {{Cyborg}}: He possesses a mechanical body, granting him abilities that the main Red can't hope to replicate.
* ExplainingYourPowersToTheEnemy: He's prone to rambling about his powers whenever someone asks about them even in the midst of combat. He also explains Betrayis' plans and need of the Kizuna Red Verse's power, much to Betrayis' chagrin.
* MotorMouth: He tends to ramble on and on. In fact, he very nearly revealed crucial intel to Togo about the nature of his power and why it's necessary for defeating the Demon Queen before Betrayis shuts him up.
* RocketPunch: His version of the Burning Kizuna Punch launches his fist out like a missile.
* ShockAndAwe: His cybernetics allow him to use the Kizuna Spark, a move which converts his Bond Energy into electricity and shoot it out of his body.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Idol]]
!!Toko Asagaki / Kizuna Red

A version of Togo Asagaki who was born a girl, she's a part of the {{Sentai}} idol group, the Kizuna 45.
----
* DesignatedGirlFight: When the Kizuna Red Verse attacks Red's party, she targets Raniya while her male contemporaries take on Togo and Rosie.
* MagicMusic: Her Burning Kizuna Song causes the recipient to ''explode''.
* LipstickLesbian: She's incredibly girly and is just as infatuated with Idora as her male counterparts.
* OppositeSexClone: Well to be exact, she a clone of Red's opposite sex alternate reality counterpart.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Foreigner]]
!!Arthur G. Togo / Red Unite Soldier

A Togo Asagaki who was born an American, he's the leader of the Power Soldiers Mega Unite, who are basically a Western Kizuna Five.
----
* AffectionateParody: He's essentially the ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' to Togo's ''Franchise/SuperSentai''
* {{Eagleland}}: Type 3. He's loud and brash but is a nice dude all the same.
* GratuitousJapanese: Everyone around him seems to hear him speaking Japanese while he's trying to speak English, making it impossible for Rosie to understand him.
* NerdActionHero: Despite his jock-like physique, he seems obsessed with cosplay and assumes that Rosie and Idora are cosplayers.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Actor]]
!!Asaki Goto / Kizuna Red

A version of Togo Asagaki where he's just an actor and the adventures of the Kizuna Five are just a ShowWithinAShow.
----
* BadassOnPaper: Betrayis apparently gave him the highest stats of all the Kizuna Red Verse, but it means nothing since he's just a normal guy.
* FishOutOfWater: Out of all the Doppel Anothers, poor Asaki is a normal, nervous actor who's supposed to be paid to play a part. He has no real frame of reference for what's going on in the story beyond what's supposed to be in the script and still seems to think he's on a TV set. He constantly tries in vain to get his lines from Betrayis and is generally terrified of being in the middle of a battle between superpowered heroes.
* NervousWreck: Unlike his counterparts, he's not a badass, HotBlooded superhero, he's just a guy who gets paid to ''pretend'' to be one. So when thrown into a world where the danger is very real, he understandably can do nothing but cower in the corner and feebly wonder if it's all still just a show.
* NonActionGuy: He has no actual powers, so he just stays back and lets the others do their thing.
* TheTeamNormal: Asaki has no standout abilities and is in fact something of a NervousWreck when he isn't ready for the camera. This means he's useless for Betrayis' plans to use the Doppel Anothers to defeat the Demon Queen, but Betrayis keeps Asaki around because he finds Asaki amusing.
* TearsOfJoy: Asaki has tears welling up in the corners of his eyes when he sees his "co-star" Idora as the one thing that makes sense to him in his current predicament.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Bad End]]
!!Togo Asagaki / Kizuna Red

A version of Red with a history almost identical to the main one until some unspecified disaster left him scarred and jaded.
----
* AllForNothing: He comes to blows with the heroes because of his fear that Betrayis will backstab them as he did in the BadFuture. Bad End believes that a 1% chance of Betrayis siding with the Demon Clan is unacceptable and tries to kill him to prevent Idora from dying in another timeline. At the very end of the battle, Bad End learns that Red's world has a Kizuna Silver who convinced Betrayis to seek an alternate, better future. This meant that Bad End's rampage was for nothing, as the Betrayis of the story really never intended to turn on Red aside from not wanting to deal with him.
* BadassBack: He's able to block Rosie's and Raniya's attacks from behind without even bothering to look back, putting Raniya on her knees with one punch and pushing back Rosie while throwing a sword that cuts Rosie's face.
* BadFuture: He's from a timeline where something terrible happened to Idora and Teltina, leaving him bitter and broken.
* BreakTheCutie: While the main Red is shown to be a StepfordSmiler grappling with a lot of trauma, Bad End is bitter and cynical after losing Idora and Teltina, showing none of the sunny enthusiasm that characterizes the other versions of Red.
* CynicismCatalyst: Watching Idora and Teltina die broke Red in this timeline, leaving him scarred emotionally and physically to the point that he sees his "past self" as a naive fool for wanting to defend Betrayis.
* DeathOfPersonality: After being defeated by Red, his transformation is undone, leading to him reverting back into a normal Doppelgäner.
* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: Bad End's eyes are devoid of the light in the main Red's eyes, reflecting Bad End's despair and loss.
* DyingAsYourself: Bad End's rampage and his defeat at Red's hands is ultimately too much for Bad End's body to handle, resulting in the transformation breaking down. But before Bad End "dies", Idora thanks Bad End for caring about her so much and that the Idora of his world was very happy to meet him. This restores the light in Bad End's eyes as he demands Red protect her this time.
* EvilCostumeSwitch: Bad End's Maximum Kizuna Kaiser is black, grey, and scarred in contrast to the colorful HumongousMecha the heroes are familiar with. This is clearly meant to illustrate Bad End's cynicism and depression from losing people he deeply cared about, as he no longer derives power from the infinite number of bonds he can create, instead focusing all of his attention on the bonds that he's lost.
* GoodScarsEvilScars: This version of Red has scars on his face and costume. Even his version of the Kaiser is heavily scarred from battle. All of this is to show that this is a cynical, angry, and violent version of Red.
* IHatePastMe: While Red technically isn't his past self, he's similar enough to make Bad End comment how stupid he used to be when the former decides to protect Betrayis from him despite his warning.
* MeaningfulRename: Bad End refers to the Kizuna Beasts as "Bonded Beasts", reflecting how this Red is no longer focusing on the Bond Energy of future potential bonds but is instead tied down to his past tragedies and fear of repeating them.
* MixAndMatchWeapon: Due to removing all of the limiters on his gear, this Red is able to get dangerously creative with his weaponry. His Cooperation-Calibur splits in two dual swords with hands holding guns in the pommel, allowing him to use them like throwing knives that then shoot his foes InTheBack after they catch on something.
* PowerBornOfMadness: Crossing the DespairEventHorizon caused Bad End to become obsessed with all the bonds he's lost instead of the bonds he could still make. This means he's learned to suppress his fear and anxiety over losing his bonds because he has none left, allowing him to fully control the Kizuna Black transformation and completely overpower Red. His Maximum Bonded Kaiser is also able to completely overpower the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser even with only him piloting it, requiring Rosie and Raniya to use everything they have to pin the Bonded Kaiser down.
* PsychoPrototype: He's Betrayis's first Doppel Another but was deemed too dangerous and was sealed away. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to contain him and he's now on the loose.
* TheWorfEffect: When Betrayis tries to unleash a HumongousMecha weapon specifically designed to destroy Red, it instead falls to pieces when it's supposed to be activated. That's when "Bad End" makes his appearance, showing how dangerous he is to have quickly disposed of a mecha that's supposed to kill another version of him. He then takes on Red, Rosie, and Raniya simultaneously and beats them all back. However, he ends up on the receiving end after Red gains his Burning Blood form and decimates him.

A hero in ancient times that managed to seal away the Demon Queen a thousand years ago. He wielded the same Legendary Sword that Rosie does in the present day. He was an Otherworlder who was a paragon of virtue and ideals, according to history... but Raniya's Great Grandmother confirmed that he was actually a gloomy, abrasive, grumpy man who sought to prove himself to the family that abandoned him, and that furthermore he was the only member of the party who came from the current world.
----
* CoolSword: He was the first wielder of the Royal Sacred Sword and successfully used it to seal away the Demon Queen.
* ParentalAbandonment: He was apparently disowned by his own family and embarked on his quest to save the world [[WellDoneSonGuy solely to prove himself to them.]]
* SadlyMythtaken: History records the Hero as being an otherworlder whose companions helped him seal away the Demon Queen and save the world. In truth, he's the only native member of the Hero's Party, as the rest of his party members were otherworlders.

->''"Are you watching, Mr. Boyfriend?"''

A member of the Legendary Hero's party, an otherworlder who wielded the power of Amen to defeat the Demon Queen and her clan. Raniya's grandmother reveals that even though he was a womanizing, self-described archaeologist, the man was genuinely noble and dedicated his life after the defeat of the Demon Queen to rebuilding the forest the Elves lived in. They named the forest after him - part of his name has the character for "Sun"- and was given a hero's death after he passed away. Raniya is his descendant.
----
* ChivalrousPervert: He's described as a skirt-chasing womanizer by Raniya's great-grandmother. He tried to introduce mixed bathing to the elves, calling it the norm in his world. None of the elves buy it and they beat the snot out of him before building separate bathing facilities for men and women. Despite this, his noble qualities are what are most remembered, such as fighting the forces of evil and helping the Elves rebuild their society.
* FamousAncestor: As the first Amen, he's honored with almost deific reverance by the Sun Elves for protecting their people and helping them rebuild after their forest was destroyed. As a direct descendant of his and the seventh Amen, Raniya strives to emulate his example.
* GeniusBruiser: He was an AdventurerArchaeologist when he wasn't being a HenshinHero and came up with the idea of infusing the desert plants with magic cores to turn them into giant cacti the elves could take shelter in. His dedication and wisdom inspired the elves to name the forest after the part of his name meaning "sun", making it the "Sun Forest".
* HenshinHero: He was one in the other world, and was the first to bear the power of Amen.
* IChooseToStay: Instead of trying to find a way back to his original world, he chose to spend his life rebuilding the Elves' Forest (though as a forest of cacti to work in a desert instead of the traditional type of forest).
* PosthumousCharacter: He died long before the events of the current story, passing away peacefully in the Sun Forest he helped build and being given a hero's funeral before being entombed there.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kizuna_silver.png[[/labelnote]]]]

The SixthRanger of the Kizuna Five, Silver took on the mantle some time after they began their battle against the Breakup King, but opted to fly solo for some time until Red convinced her to join up in earnest. She possesses the ability to see the future with perfect clarity.
----
* ActionGirl: As the SixthRanger of the Kizuna Five, Silver helped fight off the Breakup King's armies time and again, getting into the same pitched battles as Red. She was also the oracle of the original Hero's Party that sealed away the Demon Queen, having battled the Demon Queen's children and making them wary of {{Henshin Hero}}es in the present day.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: She's a heroic ActionGirl through and through, but those around her know not to get on her bad side. When the rest of the Hero's Party butt in on the recording she leaves for Red, she activates her Bond Gear and politely asks them to wait a bit. The rest of the party quickly flees while shouting about how she's clearly pissed at them.
* BuxomBeautyStandard: She teases Red for [[EatingTheEyeCandy being unable to pull his eyes away from her breasts for more than a few seconds]].
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: She perished in Red's arms after being ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice by taking an attack meant for him.
* DutyThatTranscendsDeath: Centuries after her own death, her spirit continues to protect Red from Vidala’s copied Foresight ability in what Vidala describes as someone putting their hands over her eyes every time she tries to see Red's future. Later, Silver's spirit appears in Red's inner world when Idora accesses it to help Red snap out of his uncontrollable berserker state as Kizuna Black. She convinces Idora to do more than let Red accept his anxiety and push down his feelings, allowing Idora to confess her love for him and unlocking the Burning Blood Bond Armor in the process.
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: Much like how he tells others to refer to him as Red, Silver is almost exclusively referred to by her ranger name rather than her actual one. The one time she's called by her name outside of flashbacks is in a magical recording she left him in the Sun Forest. In it, the Hero's Party calls her "Tenri".
* FirstLove: It's heavily implied that Red was deeply in love with her before her death. He and Silver have numerous flashbacks alone together and her death continues to haunt him to this day.
* ForeseeingMyDeath: She foresaw her own death a long time ago, making a point of not battling side-by-side with the rest of the Kizuna Five to avoid it. She does die by TakingTheBullet for Red, but she does not regret it, calling it her "destiny" much like how [[CallBack Red declared that it was destiny that he wound up in Idora's world and met her]].
* TheGadfly: Her observational skills make it easy for her to peer past Red's HotBlooded persona and tease him, particularly about [[MaleGaze how difficult it is for him to not stare at her breasts]].
* HeadTurningBeauty: All of the Kizuna Five are gawping at her from the moment they meet her. Red is in LoveAtFirstSight and seeing Red's attraction to her gives Yellow a case of ACupAngst.
* HenshinHero: Like Red, Silver was a member of the Kizuna Five with her own Bond Plate and Bond Gear.
* HeroicSacrifice: She sacrificed herself to save Red's life in a big battle.
* HyperAwareness: In addition to possessing perfect clairvoyance, Red says that Silver had a knack for seeing straight through people and understanding their innermost thoughts. In addition to her piercing and biting analyses of the people around her, she also used this [[TheGadfly to tease Red]] for her own amusement.
* IWorkAlone: Despite taking up the mantle as Kizuna Silver, she spent much of her career working separately from the group because of her premonition that she'd die if she were to fight side-by-side with them.
* TheLostLenore: It's all but stated that Red had feelings for her beyond being merely TrueCompanions. Red has numerous flashbacks where it's just the two of them together, with him convincing her to try and avert her vision of her impending doom. He's absolutely devastated when she died by [[TakingTheBullet taking a lethal blow meant for him]], giving him his TraumaButton of people dying to protect him.
* MaleGaze: She was fully aware that Red's eyes were unable to stay away from her breasts for too long, but she states that this was okay, as it was something a normal teenager would do... implying that Silver was aware of Red's HiddenDepths and StepfordSmiler status.
* MoralityPet: She turns out to have been one for Professor Betrayis, as she was the one who convinced him to pull a HeelFaceTurn. He would go on state that the fact that she didn't exist in Bad End's world is most likely the reason why his counterpart threw his lot with the Demon Queen's Clan.
* MysticalWhiteHair: She had silver hair and had the rare power to predict the future.
* PointOfDivergence: She didn't exist in the BadFuture timeline. As a result, she never convinced Professor Betrayis to pull a HeelFaceTurn, so he never created the hero's sword. The First Amen didn't survive long enough to rebuild the elf forest, so Raniya wasn't part of Red's party. This also resulted in Rosie being replaced by a female version of himself somehow. Professor Betrayis would later betray Red by killing Idora and sacrificing Teltina to revive the Demon Queen, bringing about the BadFuture.
* PosthumousCharacter: She died TakingTheBullet for Red back in their world. While she arrived in Idora's world like he later would, she did so a thousand years before the events of the story. She even states that she's likely to be long gone from old age by the time he gets her message.
* {{Seers}}: Silver was born with the ability to see the future with perfect clarity and accuracy.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Was the only female member within the Legendary Hero's Team.
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: In her magical recording for Red, she tells him that she does not regret her decision to protect him at the cost of her life, and that she was able to lead a fantastic life with the Hero's Party because of what she learned from Red's example. She then reminds him to live in the present and to treasure the precious bonds he has with the people around him now, while also saying that it's okay for him to be the ordinary boy "Togo Asagaki" rather than the perpetually hyper and altruistic Kizuna Red. This snaps Red out of the depressed funk he'd been in from the demons' attack and having to transform into Kizuna Black to protect the Sun Forest.
* YouCantFightFate: Silver's predictions of the future are "cruelly accurate" and have never failed to come to pass.

!!The Mad Scientist / Professor Betrayis / Professor Patchwork
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mad_scientist_red_ranger.PNG]]

A member of the Legendary Hero's party that stopped the Demon Queen, he was the one to forge the sacred sword. He was an insatiable scientist determined to learn and experiment on absolutely everything. An otherworlder, he came from Red and Silver's world, where he was a weaponsmith and mad doctor who worked for the enemies of the Kizuna Five, before he was killed by his employers for failing one too many times. He currently resides in the Demi-Human Alliance's capital, Forling, under the name "Professor Patchwork".
----
* AmbitionIsEvil: Betrayis was once an ordinary scientist studying Bond Energy with his closest friend, Pythagoras, when they were both young researchers. However, Betrayis' desire for recognition and ambition proved too great for him to ignore, betraying Pythagoras and the rest of mankind to join the Relationship Enders.
* ArchEnemy: Betrayis despises Red for constantly defeating the monsters and weapons he designed to destroy the Kizuna Five. He hates Red so much that when he learns from Silver that Red's power is necessary for defeating the Demon Queen, his solution is to clone alternate universe counterparts of his just so he can avoid having to ask for Red's help. Even Red himself is flummoxed by the sheer depths of pettiness that Betrayis is willing to sink towards.
* CorruptedCharacterCopy: He is essentially your average SlowLifeFantasy protagonist if they were a [[HazyFeelTurn semi-reformed]] MadScientist.
* DidntSeeThatComing: His face just screams OhCrap after witnessing Red's party [[CurbStompBattle effortlessly crush]] his artificial Demi-Humans.
* EvilVsOblivion: His stated motivation for fighting against the Demon Queen is because he won't be able to enjoy his retirement if she destroys everything.
* HateSink: Red considers him one compared to the Breakup King's other executives, being completely unable to empathize or bond with him due to his complete disregard for human life. However, after seeing how clearly the people of the Demi-Human Alliance look up to and adore "Professor Patchwork" for improving their lives, Red decides to defend his long-time enemy from "Bad End" to protect the bonds Betrayis does have.
* HeelFaceTurn: While evil in the Kizuna Five's world, at some point he changed colors and joined the Legendary Hero's party to save the new world he found himself in. This hasn't magically made him [[GoodIsNotNice a pleasant person]] though.
* AHeroToHisHometown: Betrayis is not a nice person in the slightest, but the industrial revolution he brought to the Demi-Human Alliance and the elimination of social divides among demi-humans he created in pursuit of his goals has made him universally beloved in the Alliance as "Professor Patchwork".
* HumanityEnsues: Much like how Red arrived unharmed and untransformed in Idora's world after defeating the Breakup King and dying, Betrayis was reverted back into a human upon his arrival after his death.
* {{Jerkass}}: While he's no longer a complete villain, he's still not even a remotely nice guy, as seeing as his formal introduction is him cruelly refusing to help the heroes and making it clear that he couldn't care less about whether or not humans and Demi-Humans go to war.
* JerkassRealization: Betrayis does some reflection after hearing the full extent of Bad End's backstory and the role that the Betrayis of that world played in dooming that world. Once Bad End is subdued, Betrayis starts talking more openly with the heroes about critical information and is significantly nicer, if still condescending, to them about this.
* LongLived: According to Silver's predictions, Betrayis has somehow extended his lifespan to exist in the present day a thousand years after he arrived.
* MadScientist: He's described as a man of unparallelled intelligence and inhuman technical skill, using his talents to join the Breakup King and aid in his conquest in exchange for being turned into a kaijin himself. Even after his HeelFaceTurn, he's eager to learn more about technology and magic as well as experimenting on anything he can get his hands on. He even gives "Mad Scientist" as his personal epithet.
* MeaningfulName: His name, Betrayis, includes the word "betray", suitable for a man who betrayed the rest of humanity to become a monster. This also applies to the original Japanese script, as he's known as "Uragiris", which includes the Japanese word ''uragiri'' as in "to betray".
* MrExposition: Once he's finally convinced to aid the heroes, Betrayis reveals a wealth of critical information that dramatically changes the heroes' understanding of the conflict, namely how Red, Betrayis, and Silver ended up in Idora's world, the reason why the Demon Queen is so difficult to defeat, and why Red is essential to defeating the demons.
* NominalHero: He's really only a good guy by virtue of his opposition of the Demon Queen and her children. He doesn't give a damn about anything else and when Idora brings up the potential war between the humans and Demi-Humans, he simply states that the superior technology he's provided to the Demi-Human Alliance will allow them to instantly crush the Avalost Empire. In one timeline, he even sided with the Demon Queen after luring Red and friends into a trap, murdering Idora and sacrificing Teltina to unseal the Demon Queen.
* NotInThisForYourRevolution: He gets offended when Pynas and the Artificial Demi-Humans claim that he had any altruistic motives for modernizing the Demi-Human continent, instead stating he's just using it both as a means gather the resources needed to kill the Demon Queen and as a place to settle down and retire once he does so.
* ObviouslyEvil: His GagNose, stitched up face, SlasherSmile, abnormally large hands, lanky frame, and furred AllEncompassingMantle all mark him as an obvious MadScientist up to no good. Then it's subverted when the heroes learn that he was part of the Hero's Party who saved the world from the Demon Queen, meaning that he underwent a HeelFaceTurn at some point.
* OneManIndustrialRevolution: Thanks to his genius, the Demi-Human Alliance enjoys technology that's comparable to and in some instances, outright superior to modern-day Earth's own technology, such as skyscrapers, bullet trains, vending machines and belts that can turn mermaids' tails into legs. Oh yeah, and [[BreadEggsMilkSquick rocket launchers]].
* ReformedButNotTamed: Although he did help the rest of the Hero's Party save Idora's world, recordings note that he still has a penchant for wanting to experiment on anything he could get his hands on, people included. He's also spent time creating artifical demi-humans and siccs them on Red and the others as an experiment.
* SoleSurvivor: He's the last living member of the Legendary Hero's party, being the only one capable of living over a thousand years.
* TranshumanTreachery: He was infamous in Red's world for being a traitor to humanity, selling out his fellows for the chance to become a kaijin and join the Breakup King's conquest. Then it's inverted following his arrival in Idora's world, joining the Hero's Party and helping to seal away the Demon Queen. But in an alternate timeline, he joined forces with the Demon Queen to restore his kaijin abilities, leading to Idora's murder and Teltina being offered as a sacrifice to revive the Demon Queen.
* {{Tsundere}}: He very obviously cares about his employees despite otherwise.
* UltimateBlacksmith: He developed many of the weapons designed to counter the Kizuna Energy-using equipment of the Kizuna Five, putting the heroes on the ropes time and time again. After being killed and transported to Idora's world, he was the one who forged the Legendary Hero's sword.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: In his youth, he was inseparable from Professor Pythagoras, who was his closest friend in their early days as researchers. But Betrayis' ambitions and desire to be acknowledged grew so much that he betrayed mankind for the Relationship Enders to gain the recognition he craved so much. Even then, Betrayis thought of Pythagoras so fondly that their bond sent him to meet Pythagoras' past life as a king in Idora's world. Betrayis reflects in hindsight that the only person he really wanted to be acknowledged by was Pythagoras.

The {{Sentai}} team that was lead by Red back in his world, comprising of Kizuna Blue, Kizuna Green, Kizuna Yellow, Kizuna Pink and eventually, Kizuna Silver.
----
* FiveManBand: Red's flashbacks present this dynamic among the Kizuna Five:
** TheHero: Red is the HotBlooded leader and the one who gives his life to take down the Breakup King.
** TheLancer: Kizuna Blue seems to be Red's BestFriend and their colors are diametrically opposed.
** TheBigGuy: Kizuna Green isn't seen using the weapons of his teammates, instead holding up two {{Mook}}s in a NeckLift. Suitably enough, he's bigger and more muscular than any of his teammates.
** TheSmartGuy: Kizuna Yellow is seen lecturing Red about his study habits.
** TheHeart: Kizuna Pink shares a tender moment with Red while hanging up what appear to be good luck notes for a festival like Tanebata.
** SixthRanger: In addition to the Kizuna Five, there is also a Kizuna Silver, nicknamed "Sil". According to Red, she is so observant that she could say things you'd never admit as if seeing right through you. [[spoiler: Chapter 14 revealed that she had the ability to see the future and died in a HeroicSacrifice to save Red... but was then reborn into the same world as Red, except a thousand years earlier, and was part of the Legendary Hero's party alongside the original Amun.]]
* HenshinHero: They are a team of [[Franchise/PowerRangers mighty, morphing]] Rangers after all.
* PosthumousCharacter: {{Inverted|Trope}}. Red only mentions them in passing but that's because ''he's'' the one who died and was sent to Idora's world while the rest of the team is presumably still alive back in their native world. [[spoiler: Silver sadly plays this straight though.]]
* TrueCompanions: They were Red's closest friends back in his world, so much so that he was willing to ''die'' for them without hesitation.

* ComicallySerious: Despite looking like the typical "cool" StockShonenRival, he's actually an oddball who tends do and say some very bizarre things despite a stoic expression almost never leaving his face.
* DualWielding: His weapons of choice are a pair of [[KatanasAreJustBetter katana-like blades]] similar to Red's Cooperation-Calibur.
* SeriousBusiness: He considers bowling of all things to be a matter of life or death. Granted, given that he was transformed when he said that, it might've genuinely been one.

* BladeOnARope: She wields a double kusarigama.

The creator of the Kizuna Fives' equipment and MissionControl in the battle against the Relationship Enders. He's described as a MadScientist who is devoted to the greater good of humanity, unlike his EvilCounterpart, Professor Betrayis, who builds weapons for the Relationship Enders.
----
* CrazyPrepared: He had no way of knowing that Red would end up in another world, but installed a TranslatorMicrobes function into the Kizuna Five's {{Transformation Trinket}}s that proves incredibly handy when Red is interacting with an entirely different culture.
* ExpressiveMask: Pythagoras' mask covers his eyes but emotes for him. It nearly pops of his face when he's shocked enough to perform an EyePop even though his eyes never leave their sockets.
* GadgeteerGenius: He's the one who discovered and learned how to tap into Kizuna Energy, creating the Bond Gears and Bond Plates to allow the Kizuna Five to take the battle to the Relationship Enders and save humanity. His other inventions include the [[HumongousMecha the Maximum Kizuna Kaiser]], [[{{BFG}} Victory Kizuna Buster]], and [[DestructiveTeleportation the Emergency Kizuna Warp]].
* MadScientist: Red describes him as one to his friends, a kooky old genius to rival Betrayis, but nevertheless on the side of good.

* DiscOneFinalBoss: The manga literally begins with the tail end of he and Red's final battle.
* FateWorseThanDeath: He planned on inflicting this on Earth as a whole by not only wiping out all life on the planet but also [[spoiler:using his power to sever souls from the cycle of reincarnation to ensure that the humans killed by him will be eternally trapped as souls incapable of reincarnating. However it turns out that he miscalculated, as souls removed from the cycle or death and rebirth don't simply linger. Instead, the soul is lured to the Otherworld through its attraction to another soul it had a strong bond with. This bond allows the soul to perform an Emergency Kizuna Warp to the Otherworld and reconstruct the body from scratch using Bond Energy. 1050* FluffyTheTerrible: Regardless of how powerful he was, "Breakup King" is not a very intimidating name.
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: He's an OmnicidalManiac who wants to [[spoiler:completely halt the cycle of reincarnation]] and end all life besides his own. Why? Because he's a jerk.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Killing Red and [[spoiler: trying to remove him from the cycle of reincarnation]] is what sends him to the other world. 1074----
* BigOlEyebrows: His eyebrows are so bushy that they cover his eyes most of the time. His eyes are only seen when he's truly shocked, surprised, or intense.
* BoyfriendBlockingDad: He's Idora's [[ParentalSubstitute butler]] rather than her father, but he plays the role perfectly. Poseidon has raised Idora like his own granddaughter ever since her father died. So when Red announces that he'll be living at her mansion until he can make some money, Poseidon's paternal instincts go into overdrive. He then threatens to castrate Red to protect her purity, and it takes Red crying for help from Idora to get Poseidon to stop. After Red puts a bandage around Idora's ring finger, Poseidon lunges at Red, who screams for Idora to help him.
* CoolOldGuy: Poseidon is Idora's eternally loyal butler who loves her like a granddaughter, following her instructions to the letter. She cares for him deeply in return, and he's willing to do anything to protect her, even threaten a hero like Red (though Poseidon's fears are ultimately unfounded).
* FreudianThreat: Poseidon fears that if Red will steal Idora's purity if he comes to live at her mansion. Because of this, he takes the initiative and tries to clip off Red's privates with gardening shears, prompting Red's crying for help from Idora. The event is so terrifying to the normally fearless hero that the mere mention of it makes Red instinctively cover his groin.
* HiredHelpAsFamily: Idora sees Poseidon as her only living family after the death of her parents and he thinks of her as his granddaughter.
* IWasQuiteTheLooker: In his youth, he was a mountain of a man with rippling muscles, BarbarianLonghair, and ManlyFacialHair who journeyed along with Idora's grandmother as an adventurer. In the present, his a rail-thin, normal-sized senior citizen.
* MiniatureSeniorCitizens: While he looks normal-sized and rather thin in the present, in his youth he possessed ridiculously large muscles and stood several heads taller than Idora's grandmother.
* ParentalSubstitute: Idora's father died some time after losing the WizardDuel that cost him his position as the Royal Scepter. She's since been raised by Poseidon, who loves her as though she were his own granddaughter. He's also [[BoyfriendBlockingDad overprotective of her as well]], trying to castrate Red out of fear that he'll make a move on her despite Red being ostensibly ObliviousToLove.
* PutOnABus: He stays at Idora's mansion to care for the estate, leaving his master in Red's, Rosie's and Teltina's hands.
* RetiredBadass: In his youth, he was a fearsome adventurer called "the God of War" who journeyed beside Idora's grandmother, "the Grand Wizard". In the present, he's content to be Idora's loyal butler.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: He was the one who posted the wanted ad for a B-Level Adventurer, which led to Red meeting Idora and starting the story proper.

----
* DrillSergeantNasty: The training she gives Raniya is incredibly harsh, prompting Raniya to skip out whenever she can. This creates a vicious cycle where her skills deteriorate, causing her great grandmother to give her even harsher training to compensate.
* NoNameGiven: Her name has yet to be revealed.
* TheOlderImmortal: She's ancient even by elf standards. This is due to her using Time-Halt magic to stop her aging so she can live long enough to deliver Silver's message to Red.
* OlderThanSheLooks: She looks more like Raniya's little sister than her great grandmother.
* SleptThroughTheApocalypse: The caveat to her Time-Halt magic is that she has to be asleep at all times while it's active. This leads to her sleeping through the entire Sun Forest invasion, not waking up until the crisis had passed.

----
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Urt has noticeably darker skin compared to other characters.
* DishingOutDirt: Urt specializes in earth magic, which allows him to cultivate the soil in the garden area in a matter of minutes.
* TheForceIsStrongWithThisOne: According to Idora, all of the children possess an unusually high amount of magic.
* GoldDigger: Klimina is one in the making due to some questionable advice from Fou.
* HeadTurningBeauty: Stella is so gorgeous that Red and [[EvenGirlsWantHer Teltina]] are literally stunned by her beauty when they first meet her.
* HeroWorship: The kids are immediately enamored with most of Red's team: Max and Aurei beg Rosie to make them his disciples, Klimina demands that Idora become her teacher in magic, and Sophia practically falls in love with Teltina upon learning that's a real life princess. The exception to this is ironically Red himself: his odd (for the setting) attire and his lack of a visible weapon fails to impress them and even when he transforms into Kizuna Red, they just view him as a weirdo with an oddly plump butt on display. And while he does end up earning their respect after he helps save the orphanage, they're still not afraid to tease him.
* OrphanageOfLove: Stella treats her wards with all the love and care an actual mother would, to the point where the kids refer to her as such.
