[[caption-width-right:350:Dino Thunder Rangers]]
* AnimalMotifTeam: They are the second dinosaur-based team in the franchise.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter:
** The main trio were high school students with no fighting skills or training before becoming Power Rangers, while the Wind Rangers had at least a year of training at the Ninja Academy before becoming Power Rangers. In addition, the Wind Rangers were already friends by the time the season began, while the main trio were not due to being in different cliques, leading to growing pains in the early episodes.
** They are also this to the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team. While the MMPR team where friends from the beginning the Dino Thunder team never interacted with each other until becoming Rangers. While the Mighty Morphin team were idealistic and heroic to a rather unrealistic degree, the Dino Thunder Rangers are more believably flawed. This is best displayed in "The Passion of Conner" in which Conner pretends to be into environmentalism to impress a girl he's attracted to. The original MMPR team where genuinely interested in environmentalism and other activities that benefited their community when they weren't being Rangers.
** Tommy and Trent are somewhat inversions of the Thunder Rangers and Cam.
*** Tommy is a single Ranger while the Thunder Rangers were a duo. While the Thunder Rangers started out as antagonists, Tommy was a good guy throughout Dino Thunder (though he was also a villain for a time in ''Mighty Morphin'').
*** Cam was a sarcastic jerk who showed a nicer side as time went on while Trent is more sensitive and friendly. Both Cam and Trent have family members who serve as the BigBad but Trent is the adopted son of Mesogog's human alter ego while Cam is the nephew of Lothar. Cam is present from the first episode while Trent doesn't show up til the third episode. Finally, Trent spent some time as a villain while Cam is a hero from start to finish.
* PersonalityPowers:
** Conner [=McKnight=] is an energetic soccer star and has SuperSpeed.
** Kira Ford, an aspiring singer who's unafraid to speak her mind, has a powerful [[SuperScream sonic scream]].
** Trent is an artist, which involves the use of colors and can change color to blend in with his environment.
** [[PowerStereotypeFlip Subverted with Ethan James]] a TeenGenius who has InstantArmor and SuperStrength, though [[DareToBeBadass he grows into it]] through his CharacterDevelopment.
** Tommy Oliver is initially portrayed as mysterious and aloof to the teens. He has the power of {{Invisibility}}.
* SuperMode: Each Ranger can access Super Dino Mode, which causes spikes to grow out of the patterns on their suits.
* ThreePlusTwo: As with the Ninja Storm Rangers from the previous season, the Dino Thunder Rangers start off as a trio. As the season progresses, they are quickly joined by Tommy as the Black Ranger and, later during the season, Trent as the White Ranger. Unlike the Wind Rangers, however, they never go past five, so the final arrangement is Three Plus One Plus One.
* TransformationTrinket: All the Morphers are wrist-mounted, and when not in use, they turn into Dino Wristbands that leave only the Dino Gems present.
** The core three morph using the Dino Morphers, which can also summon the Dino Zords.
** The Black Ranger uses the Brachio Morpher to morph. In a nod to Tommy's last Ranger form, he uses a special key to initiate the morph.
** The White Ranger uses the Drago Morpher to morph. [[note]]In ''Abaranger'', there was a pull back mechanism that had to be used as part of the morphing sequence, but Trent never used it in ''Power Rangers''.[[/note]]

-->''Dude. "Computer club"?''

A High School soccer player, Conner was given detention after ditching class for private practice. During detention, Conner, along with Ethan and Kira, found the Dino Gems in Dr. Oliver's lab. He bonded with the Red Dino Gem and became the Red Ranger with the power of the Tyrannosaurus. The gem also granted him super-speed when unmorphed.
----
* AdaptationalJerkass: At first. Unlike his Abaranger counterpart Ryouga who is a genuine NiceGuy, Conner started-off as a JerkJock until CharacterDevelopment kicks in. And [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold even then]].
* AmbiguousSituation: It's never explained why Conner lives in Reefside while his brother Eric apparently lives in Blue Bay Harbour; however there ''are'' hints that his parents may be divorced, since he only ever mentions his mother, which would explain why the brothers don't live together.
* CharacterDevelopment: Starts out as a fairly stereotypical JerkJock who is condescending toward Ethan and considers his sport more important than his ranger duties. By the end of the show, he is more compassionate, actually cares about the others, and tries his best to help.
* {{Deadpan Snarker}}: Conner's humour is definitely on the dry and mocking side.
* {{Expy}}: In-universe, he is one to Jason, as both are red rangers with Tyrannosaurus-themed Zords. Outside, he bears more than a striking resemblance to [[ComicBook/TheFlash the Flash]].
* ExtendableArms: With the Triassic Battlizer, Conner gains stretchy arms and legs.
* TheHero: Connor is the leader of the team and arguably the main nov character for the series.
* HotBlooded: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H9xThWiozg&list=PLsjFZmD5pCed4WvgpLd0sJEJA7R9KntvI&index=59 Yeah.]]
* JerkJock → JerkWithAHeartOfGold: While not the nicest of Rangers, he eventually mellows out.
* JerkassToOne: While Connor was able to make good with most of his teammates, the only person he was a dick to throughout the series was Trent for no given reason. Hell, when the Rangers found out Trent was lying to them about Mesogog [[spoiler:being his father]], he was the most vocal about throwing Trent out of the team. That being said, most of the anger came from Trent withholding information from them, and after the White Ranger protected him from an attack, he began to lose the attitude.
* LawOfChromaticSuperiority: Taken to ridiculous extremes; see SuperMode. It should also be noted that Conner received his [[SuperMode Super Dino Mode]] first. ''[[AvertedTrope Averted]]'', however, when ''Ethan'' gets the second CoolBike instead of him.
* MartialArtsStaff: Conner's main weapon as the Red Ranger is the Tyranno Staff.
* TheMcCoy: He's more impulsive than the other two.
* MidSeasonUpgrade: Halfway into the season, Conner receives the Triassic Ranger powers.
* ObliviousToHisOwnDescription: In "Legacy of Power" he mentions that his twin brother Eric flunked out of a [[Series/PowerRangersNinjaStorm secret ninja school]], describing him as an airhead and that the two of them are completely different. Kira's and Ethan's looks make it clear that they disagree.
* PocketDimension: Using the Triassic Ranger Powers, Conner can send his opponents to the Triassic Dimension.
* PolarOppositeTwins: Downpalayed, as Conner thinks they're this as he describes Eric as being an airhead and that the two of them are completely different, being oblivious to the fact that this is how his friends see him. However while they share many similar qualities, Conner is very passionate about soccer and becomes a better leader through CharacterDevelopment while Eric flunked out of the Academy, suggesting that Conner was more serious than his brother.
* RedIsHeroic: Conner was chosen by the Red Dino Gem to become the Red Dino Ranger.
* RightBehindMe: In the season premiere he says that Principal Randall is just a woman and women are just grown-up girls, just in time for her to appear and catch him for ditching class to play soccer.
* SuperMode: All the Rangers receive super modes, but he's the only one to receive ''three of them.'' His Triassic Battlizer follows the Power Rangers tradition of giving the Red Ranger the Battlizer, which in this case.
* SuperSpeed: His civilian power.
--> "Now you see me...now you're unconscious."
* SwissArmyWeapon: As the Triassic Ranger, Conner wields the Shield of Triumph, which acts as both a shield and a sword called the Sword of Triumph. It also acts as a control device for the Mezodon Rover Zord.
* TheCasanova: He likes and has flirted with several girls like Krista, SPD Pink Ranger, Sydney Drew and in the beginning of the series, with Kira.
* TookALevelInKindness: Thanks to his CharacterDevelopment, he has mellowed out from a JerkWithAHeartOfGold to simply a NiceGuy.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Just mention that a task requires swimming...

-->''An invisible science teacher. That is so totally graphic novel!''

A gamer and hacker, Ethan was given detention after tampering with the school's sprinkler system. During detention, Ethan, along with Conner and Kira, found the Dino Gems in Dr. Oliver's lab. He bonded with the Blue Dino Gem and became the Blue Ranger with the power of the Triceratops. The gem also granted him durable skin when unmorphed.
----
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: His Abaranger counterpart, Yukito, was much more aloof and cold; even trying to walk away from his duties as an Abaranger, these traits were given over to Connor.
* BadassBookworm: He's a tad smarter when it comes to technology than his two teammates.
* BlackAndNerdy: He's an avid gamer and techno-geek.
* BlueMeansSmartOne: Ethan is is chosen by the Blue Dino Gem to become the Blue Dino Ranger and is a hacker genius and techno-geek. He naturally plays TheSmartGuy of his team.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: The first episode of Dino Thunder shows Ethan as something of a prankster with him hacking the school computer system to set off the sprinklers. This is actually ''why'' he was in detention in the first place. After the episode, this aspect of the character is dropped though he still remains a computer nerd and lover of geek pop culture.
* CoolBike: A hovercraft one.
* DeadpanSnarker: Something that separates him from the previous blue ranger with the dinosaur theme, Billy Cranston. Billy was socially withdrawn while Ethan isn't afraid to make some quips about others.
* {{Expy}}: Of Billy. Both of them are nerdy Blue Rangers with Triceratops-themed Zords. Somewhat subverted as Ethan is a little more assertive towards others than Billy from the beginning.
* GeniusBruiser: Since his civilian powers involve super-strength...
* GenreSavvy: Being the big sci-fi nerd he is, he's seen enough movies to know that it's never "just the wind", and that telling people about your super-powers is a good way to wind up [[TheyWouldCutYouUp with wires in your head.]]
* InstantArmor: His civilian powers allow him to grow scale-like skin that he can use for protection.
* TheLancer: Towards Conner as he is calmer and logical compared to his friend who is reckless and not that bright.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: His weapon is a Tricera Shield.
* MeaningfulName: "Ethan" means "strong", "firm", or "safe" in Hebrew.
* TheSmartGuy: He's the tech expert of the main trio.
* TheSpock: Speaks in technobabble and tends to use his head more often.
* SuperStrength: Part of his civilian power.
* TemptingFate: Lampshaded and invoked.
%%* TVGenius
* TwoFirstNames: Ethan and James are pretty common first names.

-->''Did you just call me 'babe'? Did he just call me 'babe'?''

An upcoming singer and songwriter, Kira was given detention after playing her guitar on school grounds. During detention, Kira, along with Conner and Ethan, found the Dino Gems in Dr. Oliver's lab. She bonded with the Yellow Dino Gem, and became the Yellow Ranger with the power of the Pteranodon. The gem also granted her a high pitch scream when unmorphed.
----
* ActionGirl: She's probably one of the toughest female rangers to date, despite TheSmurfettePrinciple.
* BerserkButton:
** She was ''not'' happy about being a MOTW's mind-controlled puppet once Hayley snaps her out of the spell.
-->"Nobody messes with my mind and gets away with it!"
** She's not fond of people calling her "babe".
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: In the episode "The Missing Bone", the MOTW's disembodied skull zaps Kira with its mind control powers and subsequently uses her to reconstruct the rest of its body so it can engage the other rangers in a proper battle.
* CharacterDevelopment: A subtle one. At the beginning, she was pretty used to seeing people in the way they look like (as the seemingly snobbish Cassidy).But Kira learns to look beyond people's stereotypes, and realize that despite their flaws, they can be friends.
* CuteBruiser: She's a bashful girl who styles herself nicely and enjoys playing the guitar but she can wipe the floor with most opponents.
* DualWielding: Wields two Ptera Grips.
* {{Goth}}: Downplayed as the Power Rangers' incarnation of Music/AvrilLavigne.
* {{Expy}}: Of ComicBook/BlackCanary.
* IdolSinger: Her dream is to be a professional singer.
* LightFeminineDarkFeminine: the pseudo-goth dark feminine to Cassidy's light
* TheKirk: Balances Conner's impulsiveness and Ethan's intellect.
* OnlySaneMan: Compared to her two other teammates, she's the most reasonable and more down-to-earth than them. She also tends to be the least reckless one and usually stays out of any conflicts between Connor and/or Ethan/Trent.
* PrimaryColorChampion: She is chosen by the Yellow Dino Gem to become the Yellow Dino Ranger.
* ShipTease: Has some of this with Trent.
* {{Shorttank}}: Her sense of style edges on {{Tomboy}} and is partnered with a no-nonsense attitude.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Even after two {{Sixth Ranger}}s joined the team, she still is the only female member.
* SuperScream: Her civilian power.

-->''I may be old, but I can still pull it off.''

Tommy acquired a doctorate in paleontology after his Ranger days, even finding the original three Dino Gems. When Mesogog started attacking Reefside, he found himself the mentor to a new team of Rangers that bonded with the Gems. However, it wasn't for long that Tommy would once again join the battlefield as the Black Ranger with the power of the Brachiosaurus after bonding with the Black Dino Gem. He also gains the power of invisibility when unmorphed.

-->''I know I've got a lot to make up for, but I promise - this time, I won't let you down.''

Trent is the adoptive son of Anton Mercer, and for a while, was unaware that his father was also Mesogog. One day, he accidentally stumbled into Mesogog's lab and found the White Dino Gem. However, the gem, being of pure evil, forcibly bonded with him, and Trent became the White Ranger. After struggling with the evil personality for a time, he was freed from the influence thanks to his father and decided to use his powers to help the other Rangers, despite trying to regain the trust he lost from them due to his actions. The White gem also granted him camouflage when unmorphed.
----
* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: Trent first appeared in episode 3 of ''Dino Thunder'', becoming a supporting character until he bonds with the White Dino Gem in episode 11, and finally breaks free from his brainwashing and joins the team in episode 21. [[Series/BakuryuuSentaiAbaranger Mikoto and his [=AbareKiller=] form]] debuted in episode 18 of ''Abaranger'', and only joined the Abarangers [[EleventhHourRanger at the very end of the series (specifically episode 47, 4 episodes before the finale)]].
* AdaptationalHeroism: Played with. [=AbareKiller=] was villainous of his own volition ([[spoiler:though unknowingly partly motivated by Dezumozorlya's other half secretly developing within him]]), and while he did eventually reform and joined the team, it was at the tail end of the series and he had very few genuinely heroic moments. This facilitated the use of the clone, as stated below, only killed off when the show reached the footage corresponding to [=AbareKiller=]'s HeelFaceTurn with Trent being able to have a lot more genuine heroic moments much earlier.
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: That aside, Mikoto was always an amoral [[ThrillSeeker adrenaline junkie]] {{Jerkass}}. Without the White Gem affecting his mind, Trent is a placid, friendly type.
* AscendedFanboy: He gets to meet a comic book artist he admires [[spoiler: and the two even work on a comic together after Trent is forced to tell him he's the White Ranger (Anton bankrolls it without telling him)]].
* AxCrazy: When corrupted by the gem. He gave the [[Series/PowerRangersInSpace Psycho Rangers]] a run for their money in terms of blood lusted Rangers.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Despite their differences, Trent has a strong attachment and an UndyingLoyalty towards Anton because he adopted him and was the only one to care after he was orphaned. [[spoiler: It comes to backfire on him horribly after his teammates find out that Anton is Mesogog and Trent has been keeping it a secret all along.]]
* BloodKnight: While corrupted by the gem, Trent seemed to have no desire other than fighting and causing destruction for the hell of it.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: After bonding with the White Dino Gem, it ends up forcing him to act evil and attack the other Rangers. Eventually, the gem also begins to make him act evil even when unmorphed. Fortunately he gets better, when [[spoiler:Anton Mercer manages to neutralize the White Dino Gem's corruption.]]
* CardCarryingVillain: His White Ranger persona was this at first:
-->"I am evil, you are good. It's a quite simple concept."
* CoolSword: It shoots energy arrows!
** RainOfArrows: One of his main attacks.
* DeadpanSnarker: His White Ranger persona.
* DecompositeCharacter:
** Because he pulled a HeelFaceTurn quite early compared to his Abaranger counterpart who is the EleventhHourRanger, a White ranger clone was made to complement the source footage.
** Also, while Trent claims Mikoto's role as White Ranger, his adopted father, Anton Mercer, claims his role as an antagonistic scientist.
* EvilSoundsDeep: When [[BrainwashedAndCrazy brainwashed]] by the White Dino Gem, Trent sported a deeper voice when he morphed. This was dropped after he reformed. His clone also has the abnormally low voice.
* EvilTwin: Because Abarekiller is villainous for the majority of ''Abaranger'', Trent was given an evil clone so that they could use more of the stock footage.
* {{Expy}}: Of Tommy. Both are {{Sixth Ranger}}s[[note]] Trent is actually the fifth and final Dino Thunder Ranger but he fits in principle[[/note]] to a Dino-based Ranger team. Both have ShipTease moments with a female pteradactyl Ranger whose name begins with a "K" (Kira's reaction to seeing Trent is very similar to how Kim reacts upon seeing Tommy for the first time). Both are the new kid in town. Both have Zords styled after dragons. Their names even begin with the same letter.
* FullNameBasis: His clone refers to him as "Trent Mercer." Trent's surname is actually inconsistent, as Elsa (as Randall) calls him Trent Fernandez. A popular fan theory is that he never his had his surname changed (meaning his surname is legally Fernandez), and the ObviouslyEvil clone refers to him as "Trent Mercer" because it sees him as nothing more than an extension of Anton Mercer.
* GoodWearsWhite: Trent sees his father going through an invisiportal, which leads him to Mesogog’s Island Fortress, where he is exposed to the White Dino Gem, which forcibly turns him into the Evil White Dino Ranger. Trent gives the Dino Rangers a run for their money until eventually turning good again when the evil encoding on the White Dino Gem is destroyed.
* HappilyAdopted: Dr. Mercer took Trent in after his biological parents died at a paleological dig. Their relationship may be strained most of the season, because of Mesogog, but they clearly care about each other and Trent still has no problem calling him "Dad".
* HeelFaceTurn: Starts off being evil (against his will); ultimately turns back to the side of good.
* {{Invisibility}}: His Dino Gem grants him a chameleon-esque form of camouflage.
* LightIsNotGood: Despite being white, his Gem started out as made of "pure evil."
* LightIsGood: He eventually breaks free of the gem's influence, and joins the side of the other rangers.
* LonelyRichKid: At the beginning.
* ManipulativeBastard: Tries to play both the Rangers and Mesogog's crew for suckers when evil. Doesn't work out well.
* MoralityPet: To Anton.
* [[MyMasterRightOrWrong My Father, Right or Wrong]]: He and Anton have their differences (in no small part due to Anton being manipulated by Mesogog), but he remains loyal to his father.
* ParentalAbandonment: Both his parents died in an accident, so Anton effectively adopted him.
* PowerOfTrust: Because of his actions as the Evil White Ranger, Trent had to rebuild the trust he lost with the other Rangers. When they found out that his father was Mesogog all along, he had to rebuild it all over again, but managed to win it back in the same episode.
* SensitiveArtist: Trent is an artist by hobby. He is also the [[AdaptationalNiceGuy kindest and most sensitive]] of the teenage male Rangers (when he isn't BrainwashedAndCrazy by the white dino gem, that is). By contrast, Connor starts out as a JerkJock (later JerkWithAHeartOfGold) and Ethan is an immature prankster and smug computer genius.
* ShipTease: Has some of this with Kira. However, it isn't as significant, due to the series being more about Trent and his father's relationship instead. By the finale, they end up as JustFriends.
* SixthRanger: Fifth to be exact.
* SmugSmiler: When evil.
* [[spoiler: SparedByTheAdaptation: [=AbareKiller=] wound up performing a HeroicSacrifice near the end of ''Abaranger''. Trent, however, survives the series.]]
* SplitPersonalityTakeover: The white Dino Gem initially performs a GrandTheftMe and forces Trent to morph and act as a vehicle for the powers. Despite Trent's best efforts, the gem's influence slowly overtakes him and the personalities merge. This is completely undone when [[spoiler: the dino gem's evil encoding is broken]].
* SuperPoweredEvilSide: The White Ranger at first, who gradually takes more and more control over him until he's finally freed and can utilize his powers.
* UnknownRival: To Conner and Zeltrax.
* WellDoneSonGuy: Not that he ever admits it. Thanks to some CharacterDevelopment, he grows out of it in the end.
* TheWorfEffect: Trent is a genuinely powerful and skilled fighter throughout his own season. However, [[spoiler: he's captured in two consecutive [[Recap/PowerRangersNinjaSteelS02E10DimensionsInDanger crossover]] [[Film/MightyMorphinPowerRangersOnceAndAlways specials]] by the main villains, in order to showcase the urgency of the threat.]] He's the only ranger thus far to have this treatment.

!!Dinozords
[[folder:In General]]
* AdaptationalNonsapience: In ''Abaranger'', the Bakuryuu were capable of speaking to the Rangers and had personalities to them. Here, the Dinozords are simply Zords tasked with helping the Rangers and never spoke with them.
* AnimalMecha: Like the Dinozords from ''Mighty Morphin'', these Zords are based on dinosaurs.
** TerrifyingTyrannosaur: Tyrannozord
** TemperCeratops: Tricerazord
** GentleGiantSauropod: Brachiozord
** HeadbuttingPachy: Cephalazord
** ToughArmoredDinosaur: The Stegozord and Ankylozord
* DeathByAdaptation: [[spoiler:The Dinozords were destroyed in the final battle against the Zelzord, while the Bakuryuu survived the fight in ''Abaranger''.]]
* DemotedToExtra: Due to being non sapient Zords, the Dinozords are simply relegated to Zord fights and lack the comradery the Bakuryuu had with the Abarangers.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:Per Tommy's orders, Conner and Ethan are forced to sacrifice the Zords to destroy the Zelzord.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Thundersaurus Megazord]]
!!Thundersaurus Megazord
The main trios' Megazord, consisting of the Tyrannozord, Tricerazord, and Pterazord.
----
* BattleBoomerang: The Megazord can detach the Pterazord off its chest to form the Pterarang, a boomerang like weapon.
* TheBusCameBack: The Thundersaurus Megazord was repaired years after its destruction and returned in ''Beast Morphers'' to join the other Dino themed Megazords.
* ChestBlaster: The head of the Tyrannozord can fire a burst of fire when the Thundersaurus Megazord is in use.
* CombiningMecha: The Thundersaurus Megazord is the result of the main three Dinozords combining into one. Alternatively, there is an incomplete formation that is just the Tyrannozord and the Tricrazord.
* CoolSword: The tails of the Tyrannozord and Tricerazord can detach from their respective Zords to form a sword.
* FinishingMove:
** '''Thundersaurus Megazord''': ''Dino Drill'': The Megazord charges at the monster with the Tyranno Tail spinning at full power, plowing though them with enough force to destroy them.
** '''Cephala Power Punch''': The Megazord uses the Cephala Fist to punch the monster five times until it is destroyed.
** '''Dimetro Saw Blade''': The Megazord powers up the saw blade and slashes at the monster twice.
** '''Stega Surfboard''': While riding on the Stego Board, the Megazord powers up its Dino Drill to destroy the monster.
** '''Parasaur Final Cut''': The Megazord uses its scissor arm to snip at the monster until it is destroyed.
** '''Ankylo Drill Mode''': The Megazord charges both of its drill arms to unleash two devastating slashes.
** '''Ankylo Drill/Parasaur Final Cut Mode''': The Megazord launches an energy hook from the Ankylo Drill arm towards the monster and reels them in until they explode.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: The head of the Tricerazord can detach from the main body to form a shield.
* ThisIsADrill: The Thundersaurus Megazord sports a massive drill on its left arm, which was made from the Tryannozord's tail. In ''Ankylo Dril Mode'', the Megazord gets two drills when the Ankylozord combines with the Mecha.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Brachiozord]]
!!Brachiozord
The Black Ranger's Dinozord.
----
* AdaptationalLateAppearance: In ''Abaranger'', Bakuryuu Brachiosaurus appeared at the end of the first episode. Here, the Brachiozord appeared in the fifth episode.
* AwesomePersonnelCarrier: The Brachiozord's main function is to carry the Dinozords into battle.
* TheBigGuy: The largest Dinozord in the Ranger's arsenal.
* BreathWeapon: It is capable of breathing [[ShockAndAwe lightning bolts]] from its mouth.
* NonActionGuy: Despite its immense size, the Brachiozord is never used for combat. Though to be fair, the one time it tried to fight a monster, it did not end well.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Auxiliary Dinozords]]
!!Cephalazord/Dimetrozord/Parasaurzord/Ankylozord
Four Dinozords that serve as replacement arms for the Thundersaurus Megazord and the Dino Stegazord.
----
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: The Dimetrozord can serve as the Dimetro Saw Blade, a [[ChainsawGood Buzzsaw]] arm.
* MechaExpansionPack: All four of these Zords can replace arms for the Thundersaurus Megazord and the Dino Stegazord. This gives both Megazords an extra power boost for unstoppable monsters.
* PowerFist: The Cephalazord can serve as the Cephala Power Punch, a powerful piston action fist.
* PowerPincers: The Parasaurzord can serve as the Parasaur Final Cut, a pair of giant scissors for an arm.
* ThisIsADrill: The Ankylozord can serve as the Ankylo Drill, a giant drill arm.

[[folder:Dino Stegazord]]
!!Dino Stegazord
The White Ranger's Megazord. It is comprised of the Dragozord and the Stegozord.
----
* AdaptationInducedPlotHole: Keeping the Dino Stegazord on the side of evil when the White Ranger Clone appeared brought in some plot holes in ''Power Rangers'' (as the latter character was created due to Abare Killer staying evil for the majority of the season). No where in the season was there mention of the Dino Stegazord components brainwashed by the clone to keep them in line, or betraying Trent due to the clone having a stronger connection to the powers. So once the White Ranger Clone appeared, it stayed on Mesogog's side until the final quarter of ''Dino Thunder'' with no explanation.
* AdaptedOut: Killer Aberenoh, a combination between the Thundersaurus Megazord and Dino Stegazord, did not appear in ''Power Rangers'' as footage for that combination came from the summer movie.
* CombiningMecha: The Dino Stegazord is the combination of the Dragozord and the Stegozord.
* CoolBoard: Alone, the Stegozord can become the Stega Surfboard for the Thundersaurus Megazord to ride on.
* EyeBeams: The Dino Stegazord can fire Stega Lasers from its eyes.
* FinishingMove:
** '''Dino Stegazord''':
*** ''Dino Stegazord Stinger'': The Dino Stegazord launches the Stega Stinger at its opponent, impaling them and knocking them out.
*** ''Dino Stega Laser'': The Dino Stegazord fires a powerful stream of lasers from its eyes to destroy the monster.
** '''Cephala Power Punch/Dimetro Saw Blade''': In a similar attack to its base form, the Dino Stegazord launches the Stega Stinger at its opponent, impaling them and knocking them out.
** '''Ankylo Drill/Parasaur Final Cut''': ''Double Strike'': The Dino Stegazord strikes at the monster with the Ankylo Drill before using the Parasaur Final Cut to finish the job.
** '''Valkasaurus Megazord''': The Megazord slides down on the Brachizord's neck and unleashes three powerful slashes before throwing its axes at the opponent and finishing them off by throwing its helmet blade towards them.
* HeelFaceTurn: After spending the majority of the time fighting against the Rangers, the Dino Stegazord reforms once the White Ranger Clone's powers begin to weaken.
* MechaExpansionPack: The Dino Stegazord can combine with the Thundersaurus Megazord and, armed with Mezodon Rover's helmet and hatchet, form the Valkasaurus Megazord.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: [[spoiler: The Dragozord survived all the way while [=TopGaler=] died alongside Mikoto in ''Abaranger''.]]

[[folder:Mezodon Megazord]]
!!Mezodon Dinozord/Mezodon Megazord
The Triassic Ranger's Megazord. It is a combination of the Mezodon Dinozord and the Triassic Megarover.
----
* ArmCannon: As the Triceramax Megazord, it had an arm cannon formed from the Cephalazord.
* CombiningMecha: Both the Mezodon Dinozord and the Triassic Megarover it carries can combine to form the Mezodon Megazord. Add in the Cephalazord, Dimetrozord, Parasaurzord, and Ankylozord, it becomes the Triceramax Megazord.
* DoubleWeapon: As the Triceramax Megazord, the hatchets combine to form a Tricera Lance.
* DualWielding: The Mezodon Megazord's main weapons are a pair of golden hatchets.
* FinishingMove:
** '''Mezodon Dinozord''': The Dinozord spews fire from itself and the Triassic Megarover before ramming straight through the monster and obliterating them.
** '''Triassic Megarover''': The Megarover spins its wheels at high speeds and slices through the monster to make them explode.
** '''Mezodon Megazord''':
*** ''Wheel Spin Attack'': The Megazord charges each shoulder wheel up with orange fire to slice into the enemy.
*** ''Hatchet Attack'': The Megazord charges yellow energy into its hatchets before tossing them as a massive boomerang to cleave through the enemy's torso.
** '''Triceramax Megazord''': ''Turbo Fire'': Both of the arm mounted cannons/hands fire at once with the Cephalazord cannon firing single energy bursts and the Tricera Lance unleashing a energy cyclone to rip apart the enemy.
* ShouldersOfDoom: The Triassic Megarover's wheels become shoulder weapons for the Mezodon Megazord, which can be used to attack and finish off opponents.
* SpikedWheels: The Triassic Megarover sports armed wheels.

----
* BenevolentBoss: Runs Hayley's Cyberspace Cafe. Treats her employees there with respect. When Trent messed up due to being fatigued by the White Ranger powers, she shows more concern than annoyance.
* FakeGuestStar: Hayley is never credited in the intro despite being in virtually every episode.
* GadgeteerGenius: Built the Dino Morphers, the bikes, half of the Mezodon...
* MissionControl: though she does share this role with Tommy.
* ShesAManInJapan: In terms of her role of owning the Cyberspace Cafe, she shares this with ''Abaranger's'' Ryunosuke Sugishita.

%%* DeadpanSnarker

* ForScience: [[spoiler:Why he created the formula that turned him into Mesogog]].
* {{Jerkass}}: At first, especially towards Trent and Tommy, because he tries to keep the fact that he is Mesogog from them.
** JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Once it's revealed what happened to him, he warms up toward Trent at exactly the same time that Trent discovers his secret because he allows himself to let down his guard because he no longer has a secret to keep from him.
* ItsAllMyFault: [[spoiler: Blames himself for the accident that turned him into Mesogog.]]
** He's less than thrilled about Trent slowly becoming evil, but blames Mesogog, and insists on his personal lack of choice in the matter.

A pair of students that work together. Cassidy is a shallow and nosy reporter for the school's news station, while Devin is her cameraman.
----
* AbortedArc: Early episodes showed Devin as slightly more competent than Cassidy as at the time he was to become the SixthRanger, but these plans were tossed aside when they realized the Triassic Ranger was just a Red Ranger power up.
* AlliterativeName: Cassidy Cornell. (And Devin del Valle could qualify, depending on who you ask.)
* AlphaBitch: Cassidy, though it's a pretty mild case and she gradually becomes a LovableAlphaBitch.
* CharacterDevelopment: Cassidy especially. She [[spoiler: gives up on exposing the rangers to further her career]].
* {{Expy}}: Of [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers Bulk and Skull]]. They're ThoseTwoGuys who serve as the ComicRelief of the series as well as sharing the same goal of exposing the rangers' secret identity. However, they aren't really stupid like Bulk and Skull so they don't always end up in crazy shenanigans every episode.
* FearlessFool: Cassidy often doesn't have the good sense to freak out and run away from monsters.
* IntrepidReporter: What Cassidy sees herself as, anyway. And regardless of competence, they do put themselves in danger trying to cover the Rangers adventures.
* [[spoiler: LastMinuteHookup]]
* NiceGirl / NiceGuy: Though it took Cassidy some time to mellow out, Devin has always started out as one and is arguably the nicest guy of the cast. It's just that he's forced to be a part of her schemes, whether he wants to be a part of it or not.
** They're both also more pleasant compared to the other ThoseTwoGuys like [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers Bulk and Skull]] or [[Series/PowerRangersNinjaSteel Victor and Monty]].
* PinkIsFeminine: Cassidy. Especially when compared to Kira, who isn't even all that masculine.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: Two major instances. Before the below instance, when the Rangers are temporarily depowered and incapacitated (and in Tommy's case, in a coma), Cassidy is given the opportunity for a big break by declaring the Power Rangers having abandoned Reefside, which Devin [[InTheEndYouAreOnYourOwn wanted no part of]]. When it came time to do the report, Cassidy does the opposite and, against her boss's orders and at the risk of her big break, pledges her continued faith in the Rangers.
* SecretChaser: They're rather intent on finding out who the Rangers are in order to become famous.
* SecretKeeper: [[spoiler:In the finale]].
* ThoseTwoGuys: Almost to the point of being {{Expy}}s to Bulk and Skull, considering they spent a chunk of the season trying to discover the Rangers' identities.
* TookALevelInDumbass: After the aborted plans to make Devin the SixthRanger fell because the Sentai ''Abaranger'' had no sixth member, Devin started to become as comically inept as Cassidy.
* UnwantedGlassesPlot: Devin tries to avoid wearing glasses. Then a MOTW creates a bunch of Cassidy clones who all start badgering him at the same time.

A humanoid dinosaur-like being and the [[spoiler:monster form of Anton Mercer]]. He has a strong desire to rid the Earth of humanity and return it to the era of the dinosaurs.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: Mesogog is much more involved than Dezumozorlya, thanks to having a physical body of his own instead of possessing other people.
* AdaptationalWimp: {{Downplayed}}. Dezumozorlya was a borderline God, could survive without a body and overcame several seemingly decisive defeats before he finally was killed for good, on top of that at his full might and true form he could've crushed the Abarangers and destroyed Earth with ease, which is why the heroes took steps to ensure that never could come to pass and even that still left them with a highly powerful opponent in the finale that required a massive group effort to be destroyed for good. Mesogog is still a pretty powerful foe but in terms of grandiose power he's far more limited than Dezumozorlya in how much ruin he can bring, albeit not limited as much as his basis throughout the series.
* AgonyBeam: His preferred method of keeping his minions in line (he uses it on them more than his actual enemies). The one time he tries to use these powers on the Rangers, his subordinates accidentally teleport in front of him and get hit by the blast instead.
* AllThereInTheManual: [[spoiler: His OneWingedAngel form was named in the credits as the "Mesomonster".]]
* BadassLongcoat: He wears one.
* BadBoss: He doesn't take failure lightly and will gladly MindRape his henchmen to remind them so.
** There is ''one'' instance in ''Thunder Storm Part II'' in which he seemingly shows a [[PetTheDog tiny sliver of affection]] for Elsa while reassuring her that their alliance with Lothor is only temporary.
* BigBad: For this series.
* BizarreAlienReproduction: [[spoiler: At the end of the FinalBattle he starts dividing like a microorganism until there's ''four'' of him. Luckily, the rangers manage to destroy all of his duplicates with [[LimitBreak the full power of the Dino Gem]] before he can do anything.]]
* CanonForeigner: He has no direct ''Super Sentai'' counterpart in terms of costume, making him an original PR villain. While he technically acts as Wicked Life Dezumozorlya's counterpart on account of being ''Dino Thunder''[='=]s main threat like Dezumozorlya was to ''Abaranger'', the two characters are extremely distinct from one another and never once share a costume with Dezumozorlya as they were turned into separate entities and characters each.
* ChestInsignia: Sort of. Perhaps in contrast to the Rangers' belt buckles, he has one with a symbol, of what looks like ''VideoGame/PacMan'' tilted upwards within a diamond. It might possibly be intended to look like a lizard eye.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: Mesogog seems to be designed specifically as an antithesis to Lothor. Lothor was silly, while Mesogog is strictly no-nonsense. Lothor frequently got annoyed and whined when the Rangers defeat his monsters, yet never goes through with any real punishment for his minions; Mesogog used his psychic powers to punish them at every failure. Lothor was shown to be an effective fighter, yet never got involved until the final battle; Mesogog has the skills to match Lothor in battle, yet the reason he doesn't is [[spoiler:due to him turning back into Anton Mercer]].
* CreepyMonotone: Speaks in one.
* DeadpanSnarker: Everything he says is deadpan, so what little sense of humor he has is the same way.
* DemotedToExtra: Not him, but Zeltrax's HumongousMecha is Dezumozorlya's final form.
* EnemyWithin → EnemyWithout: [[spoiler:Starts out as Mercer's evil alter-ego; splits off from him in the finale.]]
* EvilutionaryBiologist: Wants to revive the dinosaurs to replace humanity and retake the world as its rulers.
* EvilSoundsRaspy: [[spoiler: After being split from Anton Mercer in the finale, his voice becomes considerably more raspy, almost like he's ''snarling'' every word. It highlights that without Anton, he's lost what little humanity he had and become something else entirely.]]
* EvilVersusEvil: Fights Lothor during the team-up episode with ''Ninja Storm''. [[spoiler:He wins and traps him in one of his jars.]]
* {{Expy}}: A BigBad who was a scientist before going ProfessorGuineaPig? Sounds like [[Series/PowerRangersWildForce Master Org]][[spoiler:/Dr. Viktor Adler, though Mercer was much more noble than Adler was]]. He may also remind you of [[ComicBook/SpiderMan the Lizard or Green Goblin]].
* FantasticRacism: Sees dinosaurs as possessing a DNA superior to humans, hence his desire to bring them back.
* FatalFlaw: [[spoiler:Anton Mercer's inability to ask others for help in conquering Mesogog has resulted in the Rangers distrusting Trent for keeping them in the dark about the secret once they found out about it]].
* JekyllAndHyde: [[spoiler:Anton Mercer invented a formula based around dinosaur DNA that accidentally turned him into Mesogog, and he frequently flip-flopped between himself and Mesogog. However, as mentioned above, they eventually split. Also, while Mercer tries to use his knowledge for good, Mesogog uses it to try and revive the age of dinosaurs.]]
* KnightOfCerebus: He comes after [[Series/PowerRangersNinjaStorm one of the silliest main villains ever]], but is pretty much everything [[LaughablyEvil Lothor]] ''wasn't'', having no element of comedy to his character and being a genuinely terrifying villain. His complete utter lack of respect for Lothor makes this even more obvious.
* KnightTemplar: He honestly believes he is doing the right thing for the world by trying to wipe out humans and replace them with dinosaurs.
* MadScientist
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Pulls this off with his "hydro-regenerator", which shoots a seed in the sky that makes it rain down a chemical to the remains of the MonsterOfTheWeek.
* ManipulativeBastard
* MindRape: He possesses telepathic powers and his go-to punishment for [[YouHaveFailedMe failure]] is to psychically torture his minions.
* NoNonsenseNemesis: Mesogog never participates in comedic antics, doesn't banter or gloat to the Rangers, and always advocates the most direct plan for victory.
** That being said, he does crack a somewhat gruesome joke in ''Disappearing Act''.
--->'''Mesogog''': Elsa, please tell me you have a plan to destroy the Power Rangers.
--->''Elsa shows off a black plant.''
--->'''Elsa''': I do. I give you Thornox!
--->'''Mesogog''': *beat* I've already had lunch...
--->''Mesogog laughs/hisses and Elsa nervously laughs with him.''
* OneWingedAngel: [[spoiler:In the season finale, a replicating one at that]], and it just makes him more terrifying.
* PsiBlast: BigBad Mesogog's primary attack is a beam of psionic energy fired from his head which can be used to immobilize or torture targets.
* SssssnakeTalk: Exactly what his speech sounds like. [[CreepyAwesome Rather impressively]], he can hiss words that were never supposed to be pronounced this way.
* VileVillainSaccharineShow: Mesogog stands out as one of the darkest villains in ''Power Rangers'', being genuinely ruthless and terrifying without an ounce of comic relief to him.

----
* AdaptationalModesty: Elsa's costume is ''nothing'' compared to Jannu's LatexSpaceSuit which had several holes exposing parts of her legs and body as fanservice.
* AdaptationalWimp: Jannu [[RedemptionDemotion didn't become a wimp]] when Asuka turned her back into Mahoro even after rejoining the Evoliens and would later attempt to attack ''[[BigBad Dezumozorlya]]''.
* BadassAdorable: A dark version.
* TheBaroness: Rosa Klebb personality, but she later attempts to pull off the Sexpot variety.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler: When she loses her powers, she looks much more human and acts as if emerging from a daze. She later claims to have been under Mesogog's control, and the Mesogog-free Anton is happy to see her.]]
* ClarkKenting: Lampshaded; [[spoiler: when her cover is blown, Tommy notices he should have guessed sooner and Ethan references the trope namer]].
* DarkActionGirl: She's the only female villain this season, and has no problem smacking the Rangers around.
* DecompositeCharacter: Her ''Abaranger'' counterpart Jannu was the primary wearer of the Armor of Darkness. In ''Dino Thunder'' the Armor of Darkness is adapted into Zeltrax, a completely separate character.
* DeanBitterman: She's a very strict, rude and easily annoyed authority figure to her charges.
* TheDragon: She and Zeltrax are co-dragons, but his [[spoiler:betrayal]] leaves her as Mesogog's right-hand woman.
* EvilGenius: She often comes up with ideas for new monsters and is in charge of creating weapons and machinery for Mesogog.
* EvilPrincipal: Her human disguise is Principal Randall of Reefside High, the school the Rangers attend. Even in her human guise, Elsa is cruel, vindictive and openly contemptuous of teenagers.
* GoodScarsEvilScars: A black, stitched scar runs from her bottom lip to her chin. Ironically, it acts quite a bit like a 'good' scar (vanishing when she transforms, not detracting from her looks, etc.), but marks her as a villain at the same time.
* LightFeminineDarkFeminine: Older, dressed in all black, and more sexualized than Kira's light femininity.
* MeaningfulName: Her first name, Elsa, is both a typical Northern-Europe name (or a shortening of 'Elizabeth'), but also the name of the heroine of one of Wagner's operas, ''Theatre/{{Lohengrin}}'', who [[ShipTease loves a man she cannot ever see the face of.]]
* RedemptionDemotion: [[spoiler: Loses all her action abilities when she turns good.]]
* OldFriend: [[spoiler: The 'real' Elsa has an unspecified past with Anton, who asks her for a dance in the last episode.]]
* SadisticTeacher: Sadistic principal.
* SwordBeam: Her sword can fire energy blasts.
* SycophanticServant: Brainwashed, yes, but she's utterly loyal to Mesogog.
* TeenHater: She displays this attitude in her guise as a school principal, openly stating that she expects teenagers to make life miserable for students. [[spoiler:This seems to vanish after she is freed from Mesogog's control.]]
* UnrelatedInTheAdaptation: [[spoiler:Her ''Sentai'' counterpart is the wife of Asuka and the sister of Mizuho/Geildon. 447----
* AdaptationPersonalityChange: Geilton didn't harbor any romantic feelings for Jannu (because they were siblings) or a surrogate father-son relationship with Giganoid #2, as he died long before the debut of said Giganoid.
* AdaptationalBadass: Zeltrax would not only survive after his initial encounters with the Dino Thunder Rangers and wouldn't have fallen to Elsa even after being beaten, but also became a recurring villain [[spoiler:and an almost succesful TheStarscream who essentially takes over Dezumozorya's role in the finale all on his own]].
* AscendedExtra: In [[Series/BakuryuuSentaiAbaranger Abaranger]], Zeltrax's counterpart was originally the StarterVillain named Geildon who after being defeated in the second episode was executed by Jannu, Elsa's counterpart, for his failures and had his armor taken by her as a result. Here in ''Dino Thunder'', Zeltrax isn't executed after his failures in the first episode and is given an upgrade to being a known [[TheRival rival]] to Tommy, CoDragons (and later, TheStarscream) to [[BigBad Mesogog]] along with Elsa, and lasts throughout the series until the final episode.
* BigBadEnsemble: With Mesogog, after his betrayal, he becomes the secondary threat of the series
* BigBadWannabe: Tries to take over the world after betraying Mesogog but ends up easily being defeated by Conner in battilzer mode, then later, his life force starts fading, then doesn't appear again until the finale, and is overall, less of a direct threat than Mesogog is.
* BlackKnight: He looks like a knight wearing a black armor and acts like one.
* TheBrute: The muscles of Mesogog's army and the first general who bites it. [[spoiler:Well, the first guy who ''seems'' dead, at least]].
* CoDragons: Him and Elsa are this towards Mesogog.
* CompositeCharacter: He has two-three Abaranger counterparts. The reason for this is because his basis in Abaranger is a cursed suit of armor worn by multiple users throughout the series.
* {{Cyborg}}: He started out as human, but was rebuilt as a cyborg after sustaining fatal injuries.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: In "The Golden Boy" Zeltrax creates a monster named Golden Rod who views Zeltrax as a father. Golden Rod is destroyed by Tommy and Zeltrax adds this to the already long list of reasons why he hates Tommy.
* EvilFormerFriend: [[spoiler: Zeltrax was once Terrence "Smitty" Smith who worked for Anton Mercer alongside Tommy. When Tommy received a promotion that Smitty wanted, Smitty quit and went to work for another company. Unfortunately, he was involved in a terrible lab accident and rebuilt as the cyborg Zeltrax by Mesogog. Zeltrax holds Tommy responsible for what happened to him.]]
* EvilSoundsDeep: Zeltrax is a villain with an intimidating baritone voice to match his attitude and threat.
* {{Expy}}: A kind and benevolent scientist fatally injured in a lab, who is rebuilt into a cyborg and programmed to serve the BigBad before eventually breaking free and rebelling using a giant Evil Megazord in an attempt to destroy the world. Is that you, [[Series/PowerRangersTimeForce Frax]]? Also, neither of them survive long enough to redeem themselves.
* GeniusBruiser: He might be TheBrute, but he's also a former scientist.
* HopelessSuitor: He has a thing for Elsa, which may explain why he lets her make snide comments about him. [[spoiler:He seemingly loses interest in her after his return but then abducts her in the finale as he kickstarts his plans, intending her to be the only survivor of his master plan.]]
* ItsPersonalWithTheDragon: He has a serious grudge against Tommy due to their past and it's far greater than any enmity the other villains have against the Rangers; see RivalTurnedEvil.
* IrrationalHatred: [[spoiler:Zeltrax's feud with Tommy is based on the fact that he lost a promising job to Tommy and then went to work for another company where he was involved in accident that almost cost him his life, shifting all the blame to his former friend for it.]]
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler: Unlike other formerly human villains, there was never any real effort to redeem or purify Smitty, and in the end, he was just blown up like any other monster though this came after he nearly destroyed the world.]]
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: One of his weapons.
* MoralMyopia: Zeltrax is outraged when Tommy kills Golden Rod who was trying to destroy the Rangers.
* MultiMeleeMaster: Zeltrax primarily uses a sword that [[SwordBeam fires energy blasts]] but has also wielded an ax and shield on occasion. His OneWingedAngel form grants him a double-bladed spear.
* NeverMyFault: The accident that made him what he is now had nothing to do with Tommy. Whether he's just gone crazy or he's blaming Tommy because he doesn't want to admit he made a mistake isn't clear.
* OneWingedAngel: He gains a more powerful form through the special underground spring that flowed beneath the Tree of Life and uses it in the series finale to command his Zelzord.
* OutlivingOnesOffspring: His "son" Goldenrod doesn't last one episode, his death only makes him even more determined to destroy Tommy.
* PapaWolf: He inadvertently created a younger clone of himself named Goldenrod, who was determined to make his "father" proud of him by destroying Tommy. Zeltrax actually did grow to see him as a son, and once he was destroyed in battle, it made him hate Tommy more.
* PetTheDog: Although Goldenrod was created by accident and was used to enact his revenge on Tommy, Zeltrax is shown genuinely mourning his destruction and growing all the more hateful of Tommy for it.
* RivalTurnedEvil: He and Tommy used to work together. After being rebuilt as Zeltrax, he blames Tommy for everything that went wrong in his life, including the accident that led to his transformation.
* TheStarscream: Subverted; the White Ranger tries to conspire against Mesogog with him at some point. Zeltrax, however, immediately warns Mesogog about it. [[spoiler:Played straight when he comes back.]]
* TrulySingleParent: Goldenrod was created from Zeltrax, meaning he doesn't have a mother. Admittedly, for all we know, he probably saw Elsa as his mother since she helped in the cloning process.
* UndyingLoyalty: Toward Mesogog at first, only because it was programmed. [[spoiler:Disappears after he got resurrected.]]
* UnrelatedInTheAdaptation: ''Film/ZyudenSentaiKyoryugerVsGobusters'' sees Neo-Geildon, a clone of the original [[Series/BakuryuuSentaiAbaranger Geildon]]. Neo-Geildon was adapted as [[Series/PowerRangersDinoCharge Snide]] and has no connection to Zeltrax. Also, Jannu, Elsa's sentai counterpart, was Geildon's sister. This does also mean [[spoiler:he's not Tommy's brother-in-law, whereas Geilton was Asuka's brother-in-law due to Asuka being married to Jannu.]]
* UnknownRival: To Tommy for Elsa's affections. Tommy doesn't even know Elsa is attracted to him and thus is equally oblivious to Zeltrax viewing him as a romantic rival.
* VerbalWeakness: He gets weakened by the White Ranger Clone, who simply tells him that his life force belongs to Mesogog.
* WasOnceAMan: [[spoiler:Used to be a scientist named Terrance Smith who worked with Tommy Oliver and Anton Mercer until an accident caused him to have fatal injuries. Mesogog rebuilt him as a cyborg to expand his life.]]
* WeCanRebuildHim: How Mesogog brought him back to life.

[[folder:White Ranger Clone]]
!![[white:White Ranger Clone]] | [-(Voice actor: Adam Gardiner)-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/evil_white_ranger_clone.jpg]]
After Trent's defection from Mesogog's forces, Zeltrax used the fallen Copyotter's weapon to create another White Ranger. One without any traces of Trent.
----
* DecompositeCharacter: He was created solely because ''Abaranger'' kept his counterpart, Abare Killer, evil until the final arc. This means there was still a lot of footage of the white ranger fighting the others, which the White Ranger Clone utilizes
* DefeatEqualsExplosion: After Trent lands the finishing blow on him, he ends up exploding not unlike a MonsterOfTheWeek.
* DesignPreservationVillain: He looks exactly like the white ranger, who was no longer an antagonist at that point.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: Due to the DecompositeCharacter nature above, the White Ranger Clone did not die like his ''Abaranger'' counterpart did: Whereas Mikoto died when the Dino Minder exploded (as it was an unstable prototype changer and [[spoiler:the Another Earth half of Dezumozorlya]], who had been keeping that at bay, was purged out of him leaving the device open to explode as it would have at first) after redeeming himself and joining the heroes, the White Ranger Clone was destroyed by Trent in a climactic battle and never redeems himself.
* EvilKnockoff: Towards Trent.
* EvilSoundsDeep: In contrast to Trent, the White Ranger Clone's voice is deep and intimidating.
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: He is an evil clone of the White Ranger, and there is little else to him beyond that. He mostly exists because the White Ranger's counterpart in Abaranger was a villain for most of the series and there was still more footage of him.
* NearVillainVictory: Had it not been for the glitch in the Morphin' Grid severely weakening him in the middle of his battle against Trent, he most likely would've won against his heroic counterpart.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Zeltrax was mopping the floor with the Rangers, until the clone reminded him that he was Mesogog's creation, thus resulting in the former weakening and retreating.
* NobleDemon: He might be evil, but he will compliment his opponents on their skills should they best him.
* PsychoRangers: The evil Ranger in Mesogog's forces.
* SuperPowerMeltdown: ''Strange Relations'' had this affect the White Ranger Clone. As he was created as an exact copy of Trent's powers, it created a glitch in the Morphin Grid that allowed him to stay for a good chunk of the second half. But when the glitch started to catch up, the Clone's powers were growing weak to the point he lost control of the Dino Stegazord. As such, he decided to take out Trent so he could survive, only to be destroyed by the former in one last battle.
* ThereCanBeOnlyOne: His mindset in ''Strange Relations''. He was getting weaker due to the glitch starting to catch up to him, so he wants to make sure he's the only White Ranger around.
* TheWorfEffect: Got hit hard in ''Strange Relations'' as a glitch in the Morphin grid started to weaken him, and he began to lose his powers.

[[folder:Foot soldiers]]
!!Tyrannodrones
Dinosaur-like reptilian humanoids Mesogog uses as his foot soldiers.
----
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: They have them as main weapons.
* CanonForeigner: They are another group of ''Power Ranger'' exclusive foot soldiers whose costumes were modified from the Stingwingers of ''Lost Galaxy'' (and so far, the last).
* {{Mooks}}: For Mesogog's forces. After the Triptoids arrive, they still remain the primary mook force and [[spoiler:go back to being the only one of Mesogog's after Zeltrax goes solo.]]

!!Triptoids
A squad of amoeba foot soldiers Zeltrax uses. Originating from the video game ''Wizard Wood'', a fight with Demagnetron accidentally brought them into the real world; after that, they found their way into Mesogog's service.
----
* TheBusCameBack: They return 16 years later in ''Series/PowerRangersBeastMorphers''.
* DemotedToExtra: As with the [[Series/PowerRangersTurbo Chromites]], [[Series/PowerRangersInSpace Craterites]], and [[Series/PowerRangersLostGalaxy Swabbies]], the Triptoids were not used as much as their ''Abaranger'' counterparts.
* {{Mooks}}: The secondary squad of foot soldiers. [[spoiler:They end up becoming Zeltrax's troops when he splits off from Mesogog, though some continued to serve the latter]].

[[folder:The Monsters]]
!!In General
* AdaptationalSpeciesChange: In ''Abaranger'', there were two groups of monsters known as the Trinoids (human-sized monsters made from an animal, plant and inanimate object), and Giganoids (naturally giant monsters). ''Power Rangers'' decides to drop this and there is no separation between the monsters.
* AdaptedOut: Tsutakotatsu and Rougirafleshia are the only ''Abaranger'' monsters not to be adapted.

!!Birdbrain
->'''Voiced by''': ???
A humanoid cyborg crow/mentha-themed monster, and the first monster Mesogog created. He has a rifle-like laser gun which he can use for both energy blasts and melee purposes.
----
* BigWhat: Lets one out after seeing the Dino Zords.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Has a blade on his right wrist.
* CreepyCrows: Themed after a crow.
* {{Cyborg}} Has some traces of mechanical engineering on his body.
* StarterVillain: The first MonsterOfTheWeek for the Dino Thunder Rangers.
* SuperSpeed: He out sped the Rangers initially, until they caught up with the Raptor Riders.

!!Pollinator
->'''Voiced by''': Alistair Browning
A squid/osmanthus monster.
----
* BareFistedMonk: He is skilled in hand to hand combat.
* CombatTentacles: He naturally has this ability given his squid DNA.
* GiantSquid: A big talking squid monster.
* {{Invisibility}}: Can disappear in a swirl of colors.
* ShockAndAwe: Can generate electricity through his tentacles.

!!Donkeyvac
->'''Voiced by''': Jason Hoyte
A vacuum/donkey monster. Mesogog sent him to steal people's youth for energy.
----
* AllInTheManual: His name was never said aloud by the Rangers or Mesogog. It was thanks to the credits that fans knew what his name was.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Can throw [[MadBomber explosive pomegranates]] at his opponent.
* LifeDrinker: Can drain somebody of their youth, leaving them elderly.
* ShockAndAwe: Through his suction cups, Donkeyvac can electrocute his opponent.
* WeaponsThatSuck: Being part vacuum, he sports suction cups on his hands to draw his opponents towards him.

!!Demagnetron
->'''Voiced by''': Dallas Barnett
A Diving Beetle/Rhododendron/magnet monster.
----
* ArmCannon: Magnet Club Hands are on his two arms.
* NonIndicativeName: With a name like Demagnetron, you would expect him to have magnetic powers like previous monsters. But nope. He never showcases any magnetite powers.
* {{Shapeshifting}}: Can turn himself into a [[ThisIsADrill giant drill]].

!!Dysotron
->'''Voiced by''': Andrew Robertt
A giant dice-themed monster.
----
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Downplayed. Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, Dysotron was able to speak. [[note]] This is because Dysotron's sentai counterpart belonged to the Giganoid line of monsters, and none of them talked (except for Goldenrod's counterpart).[[/note]]
* AnIcePerson: Can puff a cold wind towards his enemies.
* DemotedToExtra: Had his own episode in ''Abaranger'', only to be destroyed at the beginning of an episode where Goldenrod was the main antagonist.
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: He tries to teleport away upon realizing he's lost but fails.
* {{Teleportation}}: Capable of transporting himself and others to different locations.

!!Goldenrod
->'''Voiced by''': James Gaylyn
A gold monster Zeltrax accidentally created in an attempt to use the Geno-Randomizer on himself. He considers Zeltrax to be his father.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, he started off human size before growing as in the sentai, he was a Giganoid.
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: He and Zeltrax were not child and father in ''Abaranger''.
* AdaptationalSympathy: In ''Abaranger'', he [[BitchInSheepsClothing posed as a hero]] to manipulate civilians, later attacking the city to purposely [[HopeCrusher crush their faith]] and [[EmotionEater extract their misery]]. ''Dino Thunder'' instead depicts him as Zeltrax's [[UndyingLoyalty loyal]] surrogate son, who attacks the city because it is his father's will.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Has theses for weapons.
* DoubleWeapon: Could summon a double-bladed spear.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Could grow giant-sized without any outside help.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: His ''Abaranger'' counterpart was not the clone of Zeltrax's counterpart.
* WellDoneSonGuy: He has no loyalty to Mesogog, he is only fixated on proving his worth to Zeltrax.

!!Scorpex
->'''Voiced by''': Stephen Brunton
A clock themed scorpion monster in hard armor.
----
* AdaptedOut: Scorpex lacks the time slip ability his ''Abaranger'' counterpart had.
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Downplayed. Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, Scorpex was able to speak.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Has two in the form of clock hands.
* ScaryScorpion: Part of his motif is a scorpion.
* SpikesOfVillainy: Has spikes on his tail, which proved effective against the Rangers.

!!Megalador
->'''Voiced by''': Paul Barrett
A shark/oleander/car monster sent to capture Nikki Valentina as Mesogog deemed her having perfect DNA.
----
* TheBusCameBack: Made a brief appearance in ''Triassic Truimph''.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: His colossal tidal wave ends up helping the Thundersaurus Megazord Stego Surferboard defeat him.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Uses a toxic flower that can blast explosive rays, or give his opponents warts on their faces warts.
* MakingASplash: The first thing he did after growing giant was to summon a tsunami. Otherwise, he can use water based attacks with ease.
* ThreateningShark: Based on one.

!!Creature
->'''Voiced by''': Carl Bland
A lion/dandelion/bomb monster sent to locate the White Ranger and take back the White Dino Gem.
----
* AdaptationalLateAppearance: Creature's ''Abaranger'' counterpart was the ''first'' MonsterOfTheWeek to fight the Rangers. Here, he appears a little later.
* BreathWeapon: Can fire a powerful yellow beam from his mouth.
* CasualDangerDialogue: He makes humorous quips throughout fighting the Rangers.
* CompositeCharacter: Took over Croco D'Vile's role as the first monster the White Ranger defeated.
* DeathByIrony: Was destroyed by the White Ranger, the same Ranger he was sent to find.
* DemotedToExtra: Went from a MonsterOfTheWeek in Abaranger to a minor threat in the episode that began the White Ranger's introduction.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: His ''Abaranger'' counterpart was destroyed by Abarenoh, but in ''Power Rangers'', he was destroyed by the White Ranger.
* KingOfBeasts: Part of his DNA is lion based.
* MadBomber: Part of his DNA is a bomb, though he was not seen using it in his brief appearance.

!!Angor
->'''Voiced by''': Peter Feeney
A mutation monster with an anchor.
----
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Downplayed. Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, Angor was able to speak.
* AnchorsAway: In his firs form, Angor had a giant anchor to fight the Rangers.
* AutomaticCrossbow: Has one in his first form.
* ArmCannon: In his 1.5 form.
* CameBackStrong: Was revived into Angor 1.5.

!!Rojobot
->'''Voiced by''': Peter Feeney
A robotic monster.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, he started off human size before growing as in the sentai, he was a Giganoid.
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Downplayed. Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, Rojobot was able to speak.
* BloodKnight: After being near the personality altering meteor.
* DirtyCoward: Initially he was a wimpy coward, but after being exposed to the personality altering meteor, he became more aggressive.
* EpicFlail: He has two of these for arms.
* ExtraEyes: Sports four eyes.
* EyeBeams: Capable of firing beams from his four eyes.

!!Insectolite
->'''Voiced by''': Paul Barrett
A centipede/pansy/TV satellite monster.
----
* BigCreepyCrawlies: He matches this thanks to his centipede DNA.
* CantKillYouStillNeedYou: An ''incredibly'' rare guest monster whose spared by the Rangers after being subdued, so that he can free the Zords, only for White Ranger to show up and shoot him before he can do so.
* MadBomber: Can throw bee bombs.

!!Fossilador
->'''Voiced by''': Glen Drake
A mind-controlling dinosaur skeleton monster. He was originally an experiment created by Tommy Oliver and Anton Mercer but was discarded because it went out of control.
----
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Downplayed. Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, Fossilador was able to speak.
* AttackItsWeakPoint: The only way the Rangers could truly destroy it was to strike the Dino Drill at the same spot where the missing bone was located.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: He hypnotized Kira into collecting the final bone he needed to let loose.
* DemBones: A giant fossil skeleton monster.
* HealingFactor: He can regenerate any of his destroyed parts.
* {{Pride}}: Fossilador is a very arrogant monster confident he will win.

!!Termitetron
->'''Voiced by''': Scott Wills
A fly/pine/shrine monster.
----
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: He cares deeply for the flies he summons, referring them as his kids.
* MoreDakka: Wields a machine gun that shoots lasers.
* PestController: Can summon flies from his mouth.

!!Ka-Ching
->'''Voiced by''': Greg Johnson
A bear/mushroom/ATM monster that attacked the Japanese Dino Thunder Rangers.
----
* AdaptationalNationality: He's technically an Evolien, as he only appears in an episode of ''Abaranger'' dubbed into English the Rangers watch on TV.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: Sort of. Because of time constraints, his battle against the Thundersaurus Megazord was cut from "Lost & Found In Translation", so he's only shown getting blown to bits by the Z-Rex Blaster/Dino Bomber.
* {{Greed}}: His magic mushrooms make people greedy and money-hungry.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Can use coins against his opponents.
* LargeHam: Oh yes.

!!Mad Mackerel
->'''Voiced by''': Cameron Rhodes

* ImprobableWeaponUser: He has two;
** He uses a fishing rod as his main weapon.
** He can shoot fish as projectiles at his opponents.
* SparedByAdaptation: After Mad Mackerel was defeated, he was reverted back to Marty the Mackerel.

!!Copyotter
->'''Voiced by''': Andrew Laing
A sea otter/green pepper/photocopier monster.
----
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Can throw explosive peppers.
* PowerCopying: Being a photocopier based monster, he can copy the Rangers weapons and even their powers. For example, after he scanned the White Ranger's Drago Sword, he inherited the latter's SuperSpeed.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Despite being a MonsterOfTheWeek, Zeltrax salvaged his weapon to create the White Ranger Clone. His framing of Trent for the destruction of Mesogog's lab also led to Trent's HeelFaceTurn.
* SpontaneousWeaponCreation: His ability to copy objects also extends to weapons. Under Zeltrax's, he uses this to create a copy of Trent's Drago Sword to frame him for an attack on Mesogog's lab.

!!Other World Monster
A rhinoceros/sugar beet/psychic monster.
----
* DemotedToExtra: Unlike the two other monsters that were with him (Megalador and Horn-Rimmed Monster), the Other World Monster does not have his own episode.
* FlatCharacter: He was only used to test out the White Ranger Clone's ability.
* RhinoRampage: Part of his DNA is based on a rhinoceros.
* TheVoiceless: Did not speak during his brief appearance.

!!White Terrorsaurus
->'''Voiced by''': Mark Wright
A humanoid pterodactyl-like monster created from the Evil White Ranger Clone.
----
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, where it was used as a puppet by the White Ranger (as his sentai counterpart stayed evil for a majority of that season), the White Terrorsaurus has his own voice and personality.
* CameBackStrong: Was revived in ''Fighting Spirit'' in a stronger form.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: Tommy defeated him in ''Fighting Spirit'' on the ground, before being destroyed by the Thundersaurus Megazord. In ''Abaranger'', it was the other way around.
* LightningBruiser: He can hit as hard as he can quickly dish it out.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Unlike most monsters, he can grow giant-sized without the hydro-generator.
* ShockAndAwe: Can fire a powerful reddish-yellow-colored lighting blast.
* WolverineClaws: Sports these in both appearances.
* TheWorfEffect: In both battles, he had the edge against the Rangers in their battles, but was doomed when our heroes got a last-minute relief. The first time was the appearance of the Triassic Ranger, and the second time was a back in action Tommy with Super Dino Mode.

!!Jupitor
->'''Voiced by''': Creator/JoelTobeck
A Jupiter-based robot monster that Mesogog sent to infect a TV station's satellites to blow up Jupiter.
----
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Downplayed. Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, Jupitor was able to speak.
* ArmCannon: Has two in the form of afterburners.

!!Tutenhawken
->'''Voiced by''': Derek Judge
An Egyptian-themed vulture/lychee/treasure monster that was released when Ethan accidentally read some hieroglyphics.
----
* AdaptationalNationality: In ''Abaranger'', he was part of the Evolian Tribe (the sentai's villains). In ''Power Rangers'', he was an ancient spirit that had no allegiance to Mesagog (although that didn't stop the latter from using the hydro-regenerator on him).
* AdaptationInducedPlotHole: Somehow is affected by the Hydro-Regenerator despite not being a creation of Mesogog, this was not the case in ''Abaranger'' where Hategatakaraichi, its counterpart, was made by the Evolian and worked like the other Trinoids.
* DeathByIrony: He is strong against attacks, unless they're from the person that the curse was inflicted onto (aka Ethan). Also, despite having the ability to fly, he was the most vulnerable in the air ([[ProductPlacement so say hello to the Hovercraft Cycle Ethan]]).
* EyeLaser: Has this ability.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: In ''Abaranger'', he was destroyed by Asuka in the Armor of Darkness. Since it wouldn't make much sense for Zeltrax to help the Rangers, this was changed to Ethan defeating him with the Hovercraft Cycle.
* WhipOfDominance: He's an Egyptian-themed villain with a ruthless and domineering personality, whose weapon is a whip that can also turn into energy to trap his opponents.

!!Thornox
->'''Voiced by''': Anthony Ray Parker
A leech/Gentiana/lapis lazuli monster.
----
* AdaptedOut: Thornox had a human disguise in ''Abaranger'' that went unused.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Uses explosive golf balls.

!!Deadwood
->'''Voiced by''': Andy Faulkner
A tree monster created from the Tree of Life by Zeltrax.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, he started off human size before growing as in the sentai, he was a Giganoid.
* AdaptationInducedPlotHole: In "The Passion Of Connor", Deadwood fights alongside the White Ranger Clone, despite the fact that he is loyal to Zeltrax who split off from Mesogog by that time. This is because in ''Abaranger'' there was no faction split and both Trent and the Clone's counterpart, Nakadai Mikoto/Abarekiller, was willingly working with the Evolien faction and at the time helped out Lijewel's plan with Giganoid 10: Tragic (Deadwood's counterpart) itself.
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Downplayed. Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, Deadwood was able to speak.
* TheBusCameBack: Was revived in ''Strange Relations''.
* GreenThumb: A tree-themed monster.
* SpikesOfVillainy: Can use spikes for both offensive and defensive purposes.

!!Horn-Rimmed Monster
->'''Voiced by''': Peter Daube
A rat/iris/glasses monster created from a volcanologist.
----
* AdaptationalLateAppearance: It debuts after the appearances of the White Ranger, the Styracosaurus powers and the Red Ranger's power-ups; it's ''Abaranger'' counterpart, Ayameganezumi, came before all of them.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Was originally a volcanologist before Elsa turned him into a monster.
* EarlyBirdCameo: First appeared in ''Triassic Triumph'' when the White Ranger Clone was training and not being named, all before his proper appearance.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: After Horn-Rimmed Monster was defeated, he turned back into a human.
* WeatherManipulation: Has the ability to manipulate the climate and increase the volcanic eruption.

!!Jade Gladiator
->'''Voiced by''': Geoff Dolan
A warrior-plant themed monster created from an experimental plant.
----
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Downplayed. Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, the Jade Gladiator was able to speak.
* GreenThumb: Based on a plant Anton Mercer had in his house.
* {{Necromancer}}: He revived Deadwood during his battle against the Rangers.
* TheStraightAndArrowPath: Uses a bow and arrow as his main weapon.

!!Skortch
->'''Voiced by''': Jim [=McLarty=]
A phoenix themed monster the Jade Gladiator created.
----
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Downplayed. Unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart, Skortch was able to speak.
* AdaptationalWimp: With its second outing being the only one adapted, it doesn't shows the illusionary abilities of its ''Abaranger'' counterpart.
* DemotedToExtra: Its ''Abaranger'' counterpart, Giganoid 9: Miracle, had a whole episode to itself before reappearing in episode 44 where it was resurrected along with Giganoid 10: Tragic to assist Giganoid 11: Inextinguishable. Here only its second role is adapted.
* FlatCharacter: Doesn't appear much outside his one appearance in ''Strange Relations''.

!!Izzy & Pupperazi
->'''Voiced by''': Patrick Wilson (Izzy)\
'''Voiced by''': Matthew Sutherland (Pupperazi)
A pair of monsters that came out of the Abyss of Evil along with Lothor.
----
* AdaptationalNationality: In ''Abaranger'', they were the ''generals'' of the Evolian Tribe (and can be seen in these roles via "Lost & Found In Translation"_. In ''Power Rangers'', they're aligned with Lothor.
* DemotedToExtra: They were originally the generals in ''Abaranger'', and were responsible for creating the monsters for that season. Because both Mesogog and Elsa took over that role in ''Power Rangers'', they were demoted to MonsterOfTheWeek for Lothor to use.
* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: In ''Abaranger'' they survived the teamup with ''Hurricaneger'' (''Ninja Storm''[='=]s ''Sentai'' counterparts), they were fused into one being (see Ugly Monster below for more info) and destroyed by [=KillerOh=] (the Dino Stegazord's ''Abaranger'' counterpart) after growing giant as a last-ditch move. In ''Power Rangers'', they lost to the power of two Battlized Red Rangers and are destroyed there and then.
* EyeLaser: Pupperazi can fire a beam of energy from his eye.
* ShockAndAwe: Izzy can fire electricity from his paintbrush.

!!Squidrose
->'''Voiced by''': Tony Blackett
A chameleon/balsam/pharmacy prescription monster with a bit of squid that fought against the Rangers in Tommy's dream after the latter ate calamari for dinner.
----
* AdaptationalSpeciesChange: Played with. Squidrose's ''Abaranger'' counterpart was part chameleon, but even though his ''Power Ranger'' counterpart was mostly squid based, it still had the chameleon part to its body.
* AllJustADream: He never truly fought against the Rangers. It was all in Tommy's dream.
* CombatTentacles: He has one on his right arm.
* DemotedToExtra: Just one of the many dream monsters here as opposed to having a whole episode for himself unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart.

!!Croco D'Vile
->'''Voiced by''': Ray Trout
A crocodile/fatsia/telephone monster that fought against the Rangers in Kira's dream after doing a report on reptiles.
----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: Towards Kira, much to the Yellow Ranger's dismay.
* AllJustADream: He never truly fought against the Rangers. It was all in Kira's dream.
* DemotedToExtra: In more ways than one:
** His ''Abaranger'' counterpart was a recurring character that was spared by the White Ranger, and had a redemption arc. In ''Power Rangers'', he was only used for one episode and wasn't even a real entity.
** Also, his role of being attacked by the White Ranger was taken by Creature above.

!!Rumba Monkey
->'''Voiced by''': Jonathan Burgh
A monkey/spring herbs/drums monster that fought against the Rangers in Ethan's dream after looking at his monkey photo before sleeping.
----
* AllJustADream: He never truly fought against the Rangers. It was all in Ethan's dream.
* DemotedToExtra: Just one of the many dream monsters here as opposed to having a whole episode for himself unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart.
* EarthquakeMachine: While giant-sized, his dancing can provoke earthquakes.

!!Rude Elf
->'''Voiced by''': Tim Faville
A reindeer/Mistletoe/Santa monster that fought against the Rangers in Conner's dream after dreading about early Christmas shopping with his mom.
----
* AllJustADream: He never truly fought against the Rangers. It was all in Conner's dream.
* BadSanta: A Santa Claus themed monster who brings terror instead of toys.
* DemotedToExtra: Just one of the many dream monsters here as opposed to having a whole episode for himself unlike his ''Abaranger'' counterpart. He doesn't even gets any plans of his own and is mostly just a brute to be beaten.

!!Fridgia
->'''Voiced by''': Penny Ashton
An ice-elemental monster made inside a comic book world which it was drawn by Carson Brady. She faced off against the Ranger when they entered her dimension.
----
* AdaptationalNationality: Fridgia was part of the Evolian Tribe in ''Abaranger'', but in ''Power Rangers'', she is on her own.
* AntiVillain: While she did fight against the Rangers, it was only because she thought they were invading her kingdom.
* DeathByAdaptation: She died while her ''Abaranger'' counterpart survived to the end. This is because her counterpart was a central antagonist known as Lije who was grown into an adult form mutated later by the series' BigBad, Dezumozorlya, when she's defeated she is freed from the Evil God and regresses back to her true age as a baby and lives on after the finale with her real parents.
* DemotedToExtra: Her ''Abaranger'' counterpart had more appearances due to her role as a general and major antaognist and a key character for the whole series. Fridgia has only one appearance and no plot relevance.

!!Ruby Dragon
->'''Voiced by''': Bruce Hopkins
A red dragon/orchard/gondola monster that Elsa created from a playing card she confiscated from Ethan as Principal Randall.
----
* AdaptationalContextChange: In ''Abaranger'', his counterpart, Dragondoran, was the ''first'' monster made but went undercover on Earth at the start of the series to execute a long-term plan to bring about Dezumozorlya's resurrection, here it's just one of the many schemes of Elsa and Mesogog to destroy the rangers and it only stands out in how powerful it is.
* TheJuggernaut: Not as much as the Ugly Monster, Zelzord or Mesomonster but still counts, it took on all five Rangers at once and didn't break a sweat at first even with their super modes, it took the five-weapon combined blaster to defeat it in small form and a full-force combined attack from the three main Megazords to defeat it in giant form, and that was after it shrug off every attack thrown at it.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: A red dragon monster.
* LegoGenetics: Was created using DNA from a '''trading card'''.
* WolverineClaws: Uses his massive claws instead of a weapon.

!!Ugly Monster
->'''Voiced by''': James Coleman
A cyclops-like monster. He is the final monster to be fought in Mesogog's army.
----
* TheArtifact: Careful viewers can see Izzy & Pupperazi's faces on his shoulders. More info below.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Has a tail lance-like weapon on his right arm.
* DecompositeCharacter: In ''Abaranger'', the Ugly Monster was the result of Dezumozorlya [[FusionDance fusing]] Voffa and Mikela (Izzy & Pupperazi's original counterparts) together as a potential host and body to fight the Abarangers with after Rijewel is defeated. However, because they were destroyed in ''Power Rangers'' already in the ''Ninja Storm'' crossover, Ugly Monster was made into his own being despite still having notable elements of the two monsters present on its shoulders.
* DefeatingTheUndefeatable: He's currently the only one within Mesogog's forces who has managed to outright defeat Conner's Triassic Mode on-screen.
* TheJuggernaut: In its small form it takes on all Five Rangers and even defeats Conner's Triassic Mode almost killing him before Trent stops him and even manages to survive their finisher and inexplicably grow giant after the Replicant Zord is destroyed.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Unlike most monsters, he can grow giant-sized without the hydro-generator though it is never detailed how he does so.
* WolverineClaws: Has one on his left arm.

[[folder:Evil Zords]]
!!Replicant Zord [[note]] also called the Blizzard Force Megazord in the toyline [[/note]]
An evil copy of the Thundersaurus Megazord.
----
* AdaptationalNonsapience: Its ''Abaranger'' counterpart, Bakurenoh was made up of sapient evil Bakuryuu who willingly joined the other main antagonist of the summer movie, Galvidi, in causing mayhem, here they're just robots programmed to destroy the rangers and are already fused into a mecha when summoned.
* AdaptationalWimp: In the ''Abaranger'' canon the components of Bakurenoh could freeze the whole planet if left unchecked and froze Tokyo in seconds along with incapacitating most of the mecha with their freezing powers and easily defeating the rest in a fair fight, here it is just a moderately strong robot who the White Ranger eventually defeats and lacks the freezing powers.
* AdaptedOut: Its components' individual screentime and freezing powers are completely left out as no movie footage or original footage was used for it.
* DemotedToExtra: Big time. Its ''Abaranger'' counterpart was one of the main antagonists in the summer movie, but as most of those were never adapted for ''Power Rangers'', he was used for one scene and its origins are never explained nor is it explained why the Ugly Monster comes out of it after it is destroyed.
* EvilCounterpart: To the Thundersaurus Megazord.
* IHaveManyNames: While the TV show called it the Replicant Zord, the toyline called it the Blizzard Force Megazord instead.

!!Zelzord
An evil Zord Zeltrax piloted in order to destroy Reefside.
----
* DemotedToExtra: As with the Lothorzord from ''Ninja Storm'', the Zelzord was the final form of Dezumozorlya in ''Abaranger''. Here, it's reduced to an evil Zord.
* TakingYouWithMe: On the receiving end as Connor and Ethan were forced to sacrifice the Zords in order to defeat it.
