[[quoteright:151:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bokonee_7871.png]]

->Bokomon voiced by: Creator/KazukoSugiyama (JP), Creator/BrianBeacock (EN), Creator/BlancaRada (Spain), Marisol Castro (Latin America), Angélica Santos (Brazil)
->Neemon voiced by: Creator/MasamiKikuchi (JP), Michael Sorich (EN), Creator/FranciscoAndresValdivia (Spain), Luis Tenorio (Latin America), Mauro Eduardo (Brazil)
----
%%* BlackBeadEyes: Bokomon has these.
%%* {{Cloud Cuckoolander}}: Neemon.
%%* CloudcuckoolandersMinder: Bokomon.
%%* DeadpanSnarker: Bokomon has some degree of this, particularly toward Neemon.
* DoomedHometown: Their hometown, the Village of Flame, was destroyed by the Royal Knights.
* DopeSlap: Bokomon always pulls Neemon's pants then snaps them whenever he says or does something stupid.
%%* EyesAlwaysShut: Neemon.
* {{Leitmotif}}: "Bokomon and Neemon no Theme", which translates to "Theme of Bokomon and Neemon".
* TheLoad: Neemon, who never contributes anything to the group be it in combat or otherwise. However they do still have to save him on occasion.
* MisterSeahorse: Played with while Bokomon is carrying around Seraphimon's egg.
* MrExposition: Bokomon who carries around a large encyclopedia of knowledge and is often the one to explain the details of a new land or Digimon the group meets. In the English dub, likely due to this tendency of his, he takes over the PreviouslyOn and FindOutNextTime segments for the last few episodes.
* NonActionGuy: Despite being Digimon, neither of them have any combat abilities whatsoever. According to promotional materials, they literally don't even have attacks, which even ''baby Digimon'' have (Neemon does have a few real attacks in the ''VideoGame/DigimonRumbleArena 2'' videogame, though), and also lack evolution lines, meaning they cannot digivolve into anything either.
* RunningGag: Neemon's waistband getting snapped. It's even lampshaded near the end of the finale.
* ShesAManInJapan: Inverted Bokomon is a girl in the original Japanese dub but in the English dub Bokomon is a boy.
* ThoseTwoGuys: The two of them are never apart and any sort of development in the show that involves one will also have the other in some capacity.
* VerbalTic: Bokomon has a few: "-jai", "-maki", "-zoi", "-hara".
* WiseBeyondTheirYears: Bokomon is the level named "child" in Japanese and speaks and acts like a graduate student specializing in Digital World Mythology.

[[folder:Patamon/Seraphimon]]
[[quoteright:100:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/seraphi_741.png]]

One of the three Great Angels of the Digital World. After Seraphimon is killed by Mercurymon, he is turned into an egg which later hatches into Patamon.

->Patamon voiced by: Creator/KaeAraki (JP), Creator/BridgetHoffman (EN), Creator/PepaAgudo (Spain), Fernanda Bullara (Brazil) \
Seraphimon voiced by: Creator/NobuyukiHiyama (JP), Creator/JamiesonPrice (EN), Creator/JoseMariaCarrero (Spain), Carlos Becerril (Latin America), Dado Monteiro (Brazil)
----
* CrucifiedHeroShot: Takuya finds Seraphimon's data held inside Sakkakumon this way, his body being suspended in a church before Mercurymon absorbs him.
* GlassCannon: His only fight gives the impression that Seraphimon is all aggro, as one of his own attacks re-directed against him is enough to put him completely out of commission, something that rarely happens to other Digimon. Possibly justified, as Seraphimon had just awakened from a magical crystal and might have been simply too weak to properly put up a fight.
%%* HeavenlyBlue: Half of his armor, though it's a darker shade of blue than most examples.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: The thing that does him in is his own attack, reflected back at him by Mercurymon.
* HolyHandGrenade: His only attack that we see is Strike of the Seven Stars, which is called "Seven Heavens" in the original.
%%* GoldAndWhiteAreDivine: The parts of his armor that aren't blue are white and his wings are gold.
* MachineMonotone: His voice in the Spanish dub sounds rather metallic and machine-like, presumably because his metal mask blurs his talking.
%%* {{Mentors}}
* MythologyGag: Patamon was T.K.'s Digimon partner in ''Adventure''.
* OurAngelsAreDifferent: He has the appearance of a divine being, but he is a monster made up of data just like every other Digimon. And just like every other Digimon he can be killed. See TheWorfEffect below.
* {{Reincarnation}}: First appears in an evolved form (Seraphimon) and gets turned into a egg, which then hatches into this form (Patamon).
%%* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: When he hatches from an egg after having his data absorbed by Mercurymon he turns into a Patamon.
* VerbalTic: "-desu~"
* TheWorfEffect: Gets his ass curbed by Mercurymon fairly early in the game to hype Mercurymon up.

[[folder:Ophanimon]]
[[quoteright:124:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Ophani_9094.png]]

One of the three great angels of the Digital World. She starts out the whole adventure, and a good portion of the first half of the series is spent finding her. Eventually it's revealed she's held prisoner by Cherubimon. He kills her when she tries to stop him, but reincarnates as Salamon late in the series.

->Voiced by: Creator/RikaFukami (JP), Creator/MaryElizabethMcGlynn (EN), Inés Blázquez (Spain), Belinda Martínez (Latin America), Adriana Pissardini (Brazil)
----
* BareMidriffsAreFeminine: Her entire body is covered in armor plates, except for the lower portion of her face, and, [[GenderedOutfit being Seraphimon's female counterpart]], the front of her midriff.
* BigGood: She was the one who called the children to the Digital World in order to save it in the first place. She also helps guide the heroes towards her and her HeroicSacrifice is what gives them the power to defeat Cherubimon.
* CatchPhrase: "Will you ______? Or not?"
* TheChooserOfTheOne: She was the one that called human children to the Digital World to become legendary warriors.
%%* DistaffCounterpart: To Seraphimon.
* FireIceLightning: She originally had three of the ten Human Spirits under these elements. She was entrusted by the respective Ancient Warriors before they passed on.
* GlassCannon: Her attacks match Cherubimon's in power, but the explosion resultant of meeting one with another is fatal to Ophanimon, despite she should have been the furthest to it, while comparatively only pushes Cherubimon back. It's implied that she was out of energy due to having previously enhanced Takuya's and Koji's D-Tectors, though.
* GoldAndWhiteAreDivine: As a secondary color scheme. Her dress and wings are white and gold respectively.
* HeavenlyBlue: Her armor, though it's a darker shade of blue than most examples.
* HeroicSacrifice: Buys valuable time against Cherubimon by throwing an attack to him, which hits Cherubimon's own attack and causes a massive explosion which kills her. However, the cause of death is implied to be actually her expending her last energies enhancing Takuya's and Koji's D-Tectors.
%%* HolyHandGrenade
%%* {{Mentors}}: As Ophanimon, she's this to the [[LegacyCharacters Legendary Warriors]].
* OurAngelsAreDifferent: For starters, she's extremely humanoid, while actual Ophanim verge on being {{Eldritch Abomination}}s.
* {{Reincarnation}}: She goes through this with Salamon, just like Lopmon and Patamon do for Cherubimon and Seraphimon. They channel their original spirits for one final pep talk, but otherwise are different people in the end.
%%* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: As Salamon.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Gotsumon]]
A rock Digimon, one of several of his kind, who has taken up archaeology. Brusk at first, he eventually helps the Chosen in their fight against Gigasmon and because of him they are able to find their first beast spirit, [=KendoGarurumon=]. He later helps in the fight against the Royal Knights.

His two evolutions are as follows:
** '''Rookie''': Gotsumon, a rock Digimon. His default form.
** '''Ultimate''': Meteormon, an ore Digimon. A larger, white version of Gotsumon.
->Voiced by: Yasuhiro Takato (JP), R. Martin Klein (EN), Arturo Sian Vidal (Latin America), Orlando Viggiani (Brazil)
----
* AdaptationalBadass: His attacks as Meteormon are energy balls that make his opponent vanish, which come in handy to dispose of the ever-regenerating Knightmon. This is never shown in any other piece of media.
* BashBrothers: With Koji, eventually.
* {{Determinator}}: He has a hard time giving up, even when outmatched.
* PaletteSwap: Digivolves to Meteormon during his appearance in the Royal Knights arc.
* RockMonster: He appears to be composed entirely of rocks.

[[quoteright:175:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cherubi_6155.png]]

One of the Three Great Angels of the Digital World. In times passed, he was a good Digimon that helped keep the peace. But now he is a corrupted monster that will stop at nothing to take over the entire Digital World. Late in the series, he's revived as Lopmon.

->Voiced by: Creator/RyuzaburoOtomo (JP, Cherubimon), Creator/RumiShishido (JP, Lopmon), Creator/PaulStPeter (EN, Cherubimon), Creator/MichelleRuff (EN, Lopmon), Rafael Calvo (Spain), Bismarck Martínez (Latin America), Guilherme Lopes (Brazil)
----
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler: After he's defeated and purified, he reincarnates as Lopmon.]]
%%* BeamSpam: Thousand Spears.
* BigBadWannabe: He's built up as the BigBad who wants to take over the Digital World. In reality, [[spoiler:he was just a conduit for Lucemon to revive himself, with nobody on his side knowing better (granted, they're all brainwashed or influenced by him).]]
* TheCorrupter:
** He took [[spoiler:Koichi's soul as a host for the Corrupted Spirits of Darkness, turning him into his faithful right-hand]].
** Most of the [[MonsterOfTheWeek villainous Digimon]] in the early episodes were corrupted by him, as were the [[QuirkyMinibossSquad Evil Warriors]].
* DarkIsEvil: His Corrupted form looks absolutely evil, unlike his usual form, and he's not a pleasant Digimon to boot.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: He's set up as the BigBad for over half of the series, but upon his defeat it's revealed that [[spoiler: he was the (possibly unwilling) minion of Lucemon.]]
* DubNameChange: Some dubs call him Kerpymon.
%%* EvilCounterpart: To both Ophanimon and Seraphimon.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Subverted. His voice is unchanged in his uncorrupted state.
* FaceHeelTurn: Before the start of the series, [[spoiler:Lucemon corrupted him as a pawn to revive himself, all the while he believes that he is doing his own thing.]]
* FallenAngel: He was originally one of the Three Great Angels that ruled the Digital World.
* GoldAndWhiteAreDivine: His uncorrupted state mixes this with pink, and he's an incredibly high-ranking Angelic Digimon.
%%* HealingFactor: After absorbing all the data he's collected.
* HeelFaceTurn: After his defeat, he becomes Lopmon and joins his reincarnated archangel brethren in supporting the party.
* LightIsGood: His pure form is a massive angelic Digimon that firmly stands on the side of Good.
* LoveMakesYouEvil: Is implied to have feelings for [[spoiler:Ophanimon,]] and this may be one of the factors that [[spoiler:contributed to his start of darkness.]]
* MonsterClown: Not explicitly, but per his species, he wears a collar which echoes the old jester outfit.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Does absolutely nothing until Duskmon is in danger of being beaten, and doesn't actually fight until the very end.
%%* RedEyesTakeWarning: His silhouette.
%%* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: As Lopmon.
* ShockAndAwe: One of his attacks involves calling down lightning to strike his opponent.
* StartOfDarkness: When he started to think that trying to resolve the conflicts between human and beast Digimon was futile, he sided with the beast Digimon and became the villain that the heroes had to fight.
* TragicVillain: He had disagreements with [[spoiler:Seraphimon and Ophanimon, but it was Lucemon's influence that made him a villain.]]
* UnwittingPawn: In the long run, he's just one of [[spoiler:Lucemon's pawns and his goal to take over the Digital World plays perfectly into his plan.]]
* VillainHasAPoint: Cherubimon's argument with his fellow angels regarding how the Beast-type digimon are treated with lower priority in society which led to him being tempted by Lucemon seems a bit out of place, considering that outside of the backstory, we never exactly see much or if not, any of the conflict between the two types of digimon onscreen. However meta-wise, digimon in question has practically always underwent BishonenLine when digivolving and becoming Human-types in the process to reach higher levels, meaning that Human-type Megas are always in the majority. The most powerful organisations in the Digimon multiverse are also dominated by Human-Types, for example the Royal Knights. Even within the council of angels, it's two Human-types against one Beast-type. This means that the Beast-type digimon are practically second class citizens due to being outclassed in every aspect. Cherubimon's grievances regarding the unfairness are all valid concerns, which made his fellow angels (onscreen) ignorance of the matter all the more infuriating for him. Suddenly, why there would even be a conflict between the two digimon types in the first place along with Cherubimon being corrupted suddenly makes a lot more sense from a meta perspective.

->''"We are supporters of his right to become this world's supreme ruler. We serve Lord Lucemon by collecting fractal code."''
[[quoteright:206:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Crusadermon_6052.jpg]]

An effeminate Holy Knight Digimon. Crusadermon was one of the two Royal Knights that were hired by Lucemon to destroy all of the Digital World. Crusadermon was often matched off in a fight with [=MagnaGarurumon=], and was the first of the two knights to start having trouble, being the weaker of the two.
-> Voiced by: Creator/RyotaroOkiayu (JP), Melodee Spevack (EN), Creator/JoseMariaCarrero (Spain), José Sosa (Latin America), Francisco Brêtas (Brazil)
----
* AgentPeacock: Wears a pink-colored, clearly female-shaped armor, talks with dramatism, sometimes is shown holding a rose, and loves the aesthetic aspect of everything, so he freaking qualifies.
* CatchPhrase: "Beautiful."
* CoDragons: With Dynasmon to Lucemon.
* CrisisOfFaith: What ends up bringing him down in combination with VillainForgotToLevelGrind. While Takuya and Koji are unwavering in their conviction to protect the Digital World, Crusadermon starts to doubt that Lucemon will fulfill his part of the deal, which makes him far less effective in combat.
* EvilCounterpart: To [=MagnaGarurumon=]. Both emphasize speed over raw power.
* TheFaceless: Literal, as unlike Dynasmon, his helmet has no visor or mouth.
* FallenHero: Baromon says that the Royal Knights were protectors of the Digital World, suggesting that Lucemon corrupted them the same way he did with Cherubimon.
* TheFightingNarcissist: One in every five words that come out of his mouth is some variation on "utsukushii" (meaning beautiful).
* FragileSpeedster: The speed specialist of the Royal Knight duo. However, he's only this when compared to Dynasmon, as he's otherwise a LightningBruiser to every other opponent he was up against.
* FlashStep: Does this several times in addition to the normal SuperSpeed.
* GoldMakesEverythingShiny: His shield and several parts of his armor are pure golden.
* KnightTemplar: Follows Lucemon owing to his MightMakesRight philosophy. He also despises weakness and is ruthless against anyone that opposes him.
* LargeHam: Like Mercurymon, he tends to talk bombastically.
* LeanAndMean: Thin and graceful, but no less dangerous than Dynasmon.
* LightIsNotGood: A really vicious villain--and a holy knight with golden angel wings in the helmet and a golden cross in the shield. This is also one of the ''many'' times where he and Dynasmon are unanimously villains unlike some of the other Royal Knights.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: Subverted in that he has a shield, but barely uses it to parry or defend, prefering to use his lower end as a makeshift blunt katar.
%%* PinkGirlBlueBoy: In the dub.
* ShesAManInJapan: The American dub turns him female to render his effeminate traits less uncomfortable.
* ShieldBash: Uses his shield to attack actually quite more than to defend.
* SissyVillain: Hardly could feature more feminine attributes.
* SomethingAboutARose: Is sometimes shown holding a rose, to add emphasis to his aestheticist nature.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: The character's Japanese name is the source of confusion, as the katakana characters can be read as either [=LordKnightmon=] or [=RhodoKnightmon=] - rhodonite being the color of the character's armor. In the subsequent Savers dub, the character's name was dubbed to '''[=LoadKnightmon=]'''.
* SuperSpeed: Moves VERY quickly in battle.
* VillainForgotToLevelGrind: How he and Dynasmon were eventually defeated.
* WorthyOpponent: Comes to regard [=MagnaGarurumon=] as this eventually. Koji doesn't return the sentiment.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dynasmon]]
->''"We have come to fulfill Lucemon's destiny as his emissaries of evil."''
[[quoteright:226:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Dynasmon_7277.jpg]]

Dynasmon is a draconic Holy Knight Digimon. He was one of the two Royal Knights hired by Lucemon to gather all of the Digital World's data. He usually squared off against [=EmperorGreymon=], and being by far the stronger of the two knights, was the last to start having trouble with the Chosen Children. He was also the most devoted to Lucemon's cause. He is thematically based off of the Wyvern.
-> Voiced by: Creator/KentaMiyake (JP), Creator/DerekStephenPrince (EN), Creator/FranciscoAndresValdivia (Spain), Rodrigo Miranda (Latin America), Tatá Guarnieri (Brazil)
----
* CardCarryingVillain: See the quote above.
* CoDragons: With Crusadermon.
* DraconicHumanoid: He's got draconic features like horns and wings and also his attacks are all dragon based.
* DragonKnight A Royal Knight who is also very draconic.
* DubNameChange: The Spanish dub changed his name to a word sounding like "Dinocumon" that has never been clarified how is it supposed to be written ("Dinocumon"? "Deenocumon?" "Dinokumon"?). The reason behind this change remains a mystery too.
* EvilCounterpart: His attacks are similar to [=EmperorGreymon=]'s, as they're imbued with the ten elements of the Legendary Warriors too.
* FallenHero: Baromon says that the Royal Knights were protectors of the Digital World, suggesting that Lucemon corrupted them the same way he did with Cherubimon.
* GoldAndWhiteAreDivine: His primary color scheme is gold and white, and he works for a divine (if evil) Digimon.
%%* HeavenlyBlue
* KnightTemplar: Merciless on his pursuit of Fractal Code for his liege, Lucemon. He has no issue describing himself as evil in the pursue of his duties.
* LargeHam: More so than Crusadermon. Not surprising since he shares a voice actor with [[Anime/DigimonAdventure02 Imperialdramon]].
* LightIsNotGood:
** His looks and traits are more visually associated with right and heroism than the luminous but creepy Crusadermon, yet he is a villain like him.
** This also marks the first of the ''many times'' where the duo are consistently villains unlike some of the other Royal Knights, although they are usually working for [[spoiler:God (King Drasil) instead of Lucifer (Lucemon)]] after this.
* MightyGlacier: The power specialist of the Royal Knight duo. However, he's only this when compared to Crusadermon, as to every other opponent he's more of a LightningBruiser.
* NoIndoorVoice: His voice is almost never any less than shouting. Dips into LargeHam at points.
* ObviouslyEvil: Is more similar in appearance to a white demon or dragon than a Holy Knight. Yet again, many good guys in the franchise share this kind of look, but he has a distinctive touch of brutality over it.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: He's sort of a humanoid wyvern. Interestingly, his name in the Spanish dub contains "dino", which would lean towards DinosaursAreDragons in that continuity.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: Even his own ally is scared whenever he uses his Breath of Wyvern technique, considering how incredibly destructive it is.
* PinkGirlBlueBoy: In the dub, he's the blue boy to Crusadermon's pink girl.
* PowerCrystal: He projects his Dragon Thrower attack from the ones on his hands.
* ShapingYourAttacks: His Breath of Wyvern ability generates a large dragon made of energy before attacking.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Some materials refer to him as Dunasmon.
* SpikesOfVillainy: His whole armor is decorated with spikes, and he's definiely not a nice angel.
* SuperStrength: Stated to be the physically strongest of the Royal Knights, a group already filled with {{Flying Brick}}s.
* ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: Decides to use Breath of Wyvern against the Heroes, even though they were pretty much defeated. Crusadermon even started freaking out and the heroes were blasted to the moon.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Lucemon. Justified considering his moral code basically runs on MyMasterRightOrWrong. Unlike Crusadermon, he never doubted Lucemon and his promises.
* VillainForgotToLevelGrind: What led to him and Crusadermon eventually being defeated.
* VillainousFriendship: Despite all his flaws he seems to have a genuine friendship with Crusadermon, as he vowed to make the heroes pay for injuring him and decided to use his most powerful attack.

An angel Digimon that once came down to the Digital World to bring peace to it due to a war between the beast and human type Digimon. He eventually grew proud and fell off the narrow path and became a great evil that the Ten Legendary Warriors sealed away. He is eventually released by the Royal Knights and becomes the final boss of the show, so to speak.

His forms are as follows:
** '''Rookie''': Lucemon, his default form. A small cute looking boy with 12 angel wings.
** '''Ultimate''': Chaos Mode ''(Falldown Mode)'', an adult Lucemon with dark armor; half of his wings have taken on a demonic look.
** '''Mega''': Shadowlord Mode ''(Satan mode)'', a giant demonic dragon that holds the Gehenna (hell) sphere in its hands.
** '''Mega''': Lucemon Larva, resembles a cross between a larva, a cocoon, and an embryo with twelve golden wings.
->Voiced by: Creator/KumikoNishihara (JP), Creator/RyuseiNakao (JP, Falldown and Satan modes), Creator/MonaMarshall (EN), Creator/BobPapenbrook (EN, Shadowlord Mode), Creator/CarolinaTak (Spain), Creator/JorgeSaudinos (Spain, Falldown mode), Ana San Millán (Spain, Satan and Larva modes), Daniela Benítez (Latin America, all modes), Marli Bortoletto (Brazil), Hermes Baroli (Brazil, Falldown and Satan Modes)
----
* AGodAmI: He believes that he is some sort of God with the right to destroy, recreate and control all of existence.
* BadassAdorable: His initial form is a rare villainous example. Lucemon is a rookie level Digimon but he's strong enough to one-shot Dynasmon and Crusadermon, both Mega level Digimon. Averted with his later forms, which are appropriately evil looking.
* BadBoss: Agreeing to follow him still doesn't guarantee you'll be safe from him. He promised that he was going to deliver the human world to Dynasmon and Crusadermon, but was not above threatening them. In their final battle he did nothing when they started to lose and and when they were about to be killed, he absorbed their data to make himself stronger.
* BewareMyStingerTail: His larva form has a stinger. He can use it to fire a projectile attack or just stab his enemies with it. The latter attack rendered the Legendary Warriors unable to maintain their Susanoomon form afterword, not that it mattered.
* BigBad: He's ''the'' Big Bad for all of ''Frontier'', manipulating Angel Digimon to do his bidding through corrupting or bribing them with false promises, and seeks to destroy everything and recreate them, so existence bows down to him.
* BreakoutCharacter: Unlike most other Digimon who debuted in ''Frontier'', he and his various forms return in numerous other Digimon media afterwards.
* BreathWeapon: Satan Mode's Tide of Despair attack has him breathing lots of fire from his mouth.
* CessationOfExistence: Lucemon Larva doesn't leave a digi-egg behind after he dies due to his good data already having been sent back to the Digital World to be reborn.
* ChaosIsEvil: He believes so, though his definition of chaos includes free will.
* ClippedWingAngel: Unlike his Falldown and Shadowlord forms, Lucemon Larva dies very quickly after he shows up.
* ControlFreak: His definition of a utopia is everyone being forced to obey his every command without question, because he's a 'perfect' being that automatically knows what's correct and what isn't.
* TheCorrupter: To Cherubimon. Bokomon also implies that he corrupted Crusadermon and Dynasmon.
* CreepyChild: His initial form is a child-like angel Digimon. Unfortunately, he's also a ControlFreak who seeks to control all of existence.
* DevourTheDragon: After Crusadermon and Dynasmon are beaten, he promptly absorbs their data to digivolve into Falldown Mode.
* DraconicAbomination: In Shadowlord Mode. He is a massive dragon whose mere approach into the human world causes storms and collaspses buildings, while he delivers a chilling KneelBeforeZod by hijacking every electronic device in the area. When he actually enters, everything around him turns into digicode before he's pulled back through to the Digital World. To top it all off in his fight against Susanoomon, he shows he has the power to destroy the entire planet!
* DrunkWithPower: When he arrived in the Digital World and stopped the war, he seemed, at first, to have benevolent goals and ruled fairly. But that amount of power quickly corrupted him and turned him into a megalomaniac tyrant that believed that only he could rule the Digital World.
* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: He displays these when angered by Crusadermon questioning him.
* DystopiaJustifiesTheMeans: His plan is to enslave the Digital World and purge the Digimon of their free will. After entering Shadowlord Mode, he expands his plans to the human world.
* EvilIsBigger: Inverted for Falldown Mode. He towers over the children as humans but [=KaiserGreymon=], [=MagnaGarurumon=] and Susanoomon are all much taller than he is. Played straight for Satan Mode though as he is ''far'' bigger than any form of the heroes.
* EvilOverlord: Especially in Chaos mode, where he is a Demon Lord type.
* TheEvilsOfFreeWill: He does everything but outright say this.
* {{Expy}}: To [[Anime/DigimonAdventure Apocalymon]] as the source of the series' events and physically appears once the Digital World completely ceases to be before it is restored upon his death. His Shadowlord Mode form is also a massive monster that conceals his smaller true form.
* FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon: Almost literally in his initial form, angelic appearance, but underneath it, he's {{Satan}}.
* FallenAngel: He was originally one of the rulers of the Digital World, but was deposed.
* FallenHero: He did stop the human vs beast war in the distant past, but went corrupt due to his pride and was beaten and locked up by the Warrior Ten. Now he's waiting to come back through his own proxies, like a corrupted Cherubimon and two of the Royal Knights.
* TheFightingNarcissist: Lucemon's not the Demon Lord of ''Pride'' for nothing. He genuinely believes he's a perfect being and thus everyone would be happier if he got rid of free will and they had to obey his every command without question because, obviously, he knows best. He flat out says he considers conversing with 'imperfect' beings as beneath him (though apparently his EvilGloating doesn't count) and pointless. He quite literally can't ''comprehend'' the idea he could possibly be wrong.
* FinalBoss: He is the last villain the heroes must fight in the season.
* ForTheEvulz: Noticably averted unlike Vamdemon or Piemon from ''Adventure''. He never explicitly does any of his worst acts "for the sake of", and he has a comprehensible enough motive. That is, to destroy all of existence to create a world where everything bows down to him.
* TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou: When Lucemon Shadowlord Mode is about to emerge from the human world in Episode 49, he sends all of Shibuya a message: "You must choose to follow me or be destroyed."/"Follow me, or be destroyed. Choose." by hijacking electronic devices. At the end of said episode, the message shows up in ''your'' screen as if he's hijacking your television.
* GlassCannon: Lucemon Larva is one of these, being able to force Susanoomon to split up after just a couple of attacks, but dying at the hands of the Ten Legendary Warriors in their base forms. It's why he pilots Satan Mode from the Gehenna Sphere.
* GodOfEvil: Shadowlord mode and Lucemon Larva are described as Evil God type Digimon, though his Chaos mode fits the mode to a T as well.
* GoldAndWhiteAreDivine: With this guy, though, it signifies a [[GodOfEvil divine tyrant]].
* GoodWingsEvilWings: Subverted. He has angelic wings in his default form despite him being a fallen angel. Chaos/Falldown Mode has both angelic wings and demonic bat wings.
* HealingFactor: Due to having absorbed the Digital World's data, he can regenerate in Satan Mode in much the same way that Cherubimon was able to.
* IcyBlueEyes: Has them in his first two forms to emphasize how dangerous he is.
* IdiotBall: Yeah sure, just ''remain in the path of the giant sword slowly cutting the Dark Area in half'' and don't even try to get out of the way or attack the open Susanoomon. [[SarcasmMode You can totally tank this.]]
* KnightOfCerebus: The show gets more serious when he's revealed to be behind everything, and when he's freed, the humorous elements almost completely vanish.
* LargeHam: His speech is much less subdued with each new form. He is hammier in Falldown Mode than in his regular form. His larva form has him yelling at the top of his voice when he's not being a ColdHam.
* LightEmUp: In his first form, this is his mode of attack. He can still use it in Chaos mode, this time alongside darkness to great effect. He loses this ability upon reaching Shadowlord mode.
* LightIsNotGood: He looks like an angel, but is evil as all get out. Combines this with DarkIsEvil in Chaos Mode where he adds the power of darkness to his arsenal.
* LightningBruiser: In his Chaos/Falldown mode, he might not be as physically imposing as Cherubimon or Dynasmon, but do not be fooled for even a second. He easily takes out [=MagnaGarurumon=] and [=EmperorGreymon=] within a few attacks before they can even react.
* MadeOfEvil: Again, not himself, but Satan Mode's body is made of the data that the Digivices couldn't purify.
* TheManBehindTheMan: He was manipulating Cherubimon all along.
* ManipulativeBastard: First he manipulated Cherubimon and turned him into a FallenAngel, then he keeps Dynasmon and Crusadermon working for him with false promises that he'll let them rule the human world.
* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: He claims he's making a utopia where everyone will be happy, but it's clear this is not his goal at all. It's just an excuse to justify taking away freedom and have complete control over everything.
* OhCrap:
** In the Japanese version, he starts to panic when Susanoomon breaks into his protective sphere that Satan Mode was carrying.
** He also has one when Susanoomon splits into Takuya and Koji to avoid his YinYangBomb.
** He gives off this expression when the Zero-ARMS: Orochi is clearly sawing him in half.
* OmnicidalManiac: Subverted. Destroying and absorbing the Digital World was just the method he used to collect the data he needed to remake it the way he wanted.
* OneWingedAngel: Well, ''technically'', he became a literal Twelve Winged Angel... then a twelve-winged demon, then a twelve-winged larva...
* OrderVersusChaos: He says that bringing order to the Digital World is his motivation, but he's really just arrogant.
* OurAngelsAreDifferent: While he looks like an angel and his name is even derived from Lucifer, he isn't any kind of deity of the sort but just a digital construct like everything else.
* OurDemonsAreDifferent: His shadowlordmode form is full on demon and throws the "angelic" half of him out the window.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: In his shadowlord mode, he's the dragon from Revelation and looks appropriately monstrous.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: We're talking [[Anime/DragonBallZ DBZ]] level destruction here (his Chaos/Falldown mode even has the same Japanese voice as Frieza, now that one thinks about it).
* PhysicalGod: Even besides being able to easily destroy celestial bodies with his bare hands, supplemental material says his power in Chaos Mode rivals that of God (or at least the Digimon equivalent). TruthInTelevision sets in when you realize that in Literature/TheBible God is described as a being of [[LightTheWay bright]] [[LightIsGood light]] and [[CastingAShadow deep]] [[TheSacredDarkness shadow]].
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Despite being child-like in appearance, Lucemon is still powerful enough to go toe-to-toe with the heroes' strongest forms, blow up planets with ease, and absorb two members of the Royal Knights. Downplayed in his Chaos Mode; while a bit taller, he's still nowhere near as physically imposing as things like Gigasmon or Sakkakumon, but can easily curb-stomp [=EmperorGreymon=] and [=MagnaGarurumon=] just by punching them repeatedly. Afterwards, this trope is averted, as Lucemon transforms into his Shadowlord Mode.
* {{Pride}}: So much so, his Chaos/Falldown mode is one of the [[http://digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Seven_Great_Demon_Lords Seven Great Demon Lords]] and has Pride as his [[SevenDeadlySins sin]]. He feels that he and he alone has the right to determine the lives of other beings, and doesn't care who or what he needs to kill if they feel like standing in his way.
* PsychoticSmirk: His default expression. It is easier to count the times where he ''doesn't'' have this expression.
* ThePunishment: Subverted. He didn't suffer during his time in the Dark Area, but he's more powerful for having been imprisoned.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Satan Mode is a purple and massive winged demonic dragon, and his appearance alone is enough to cut down Japan's electricity.
* RapidFireFisticuffs: Falldown Mode's Paradise Lost Punch. He also executes it in [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure Dio Brando]] style, to boot.
* RedSkyTakeWarning: Downplayed. The sky in the human world was already red due to it being around sunset. His attempt to enter the human world just caused the sky to look more menacing.
* RestartTheWorld: He wants to destroy and recreate the Digital World because of his oxymoronic being. Too bad the Digital World he wants is one where all of existence bows down to him.
* SatanicArchetype: He is formerly a good angel Digimon, [[LightIsNotGood associated with light]] who went mad with power, {{Pride}} and ambition, and attempted to seize complete control of the Digital World as a tyrant. As punishment he was demoted and sealed away. His three forms reflect his story (and the biblical Satan's); his normal form is Lucifer (hence "Lucemon"), his Falldown mode is Satan after falling, and his Satan Mode is the Dragon of Revelation.
* SealedEvilInACan: For most of the series, he's sealed right under the Rose Morning Star. However, he influences and corrupts Cherubimon to unwittingly revive him.
* SevenDeadlySins: Satan Mode's Nihilism Maelstrom attack conjures symbols representing all seven.
* SmugSnake: Particularly in his Child form, the only emotion he usually shows is condescending, cold disdain towards everyone else.
* SpamAttack: Aside from actually stinging a target, his only attack in his larva form is shooting large numbers of projectiles from his stinger.
* StoryBreakerPower: Easily the second strongest character on the show ''in his rookie form!'' And he still had two more transformations to make.
* SuperStrength: Almost all Digimon have some degree of this, but Lucemon takes the cake. His Falldown mode was able to destroy three moons by piledriving two Digimon into ''one'' of them.
* TakingYouWithMe: Tries to do this to Susanoomon while in larva mode, even saying the trope name word-for-word. It doesn't work, instead causing the Warriors themselves to manifest and finish him off.
* TautologicalTemplar: He actually considers himself as trying to bring order to the Digital World. However, what he actually wants to do is something else.
* UnholyNuke:
** His Ultimate Sacrifice attack is one that [[YinYangBomb uses light in addition to darkness]].
** All of his attacks in Satan Mode, one of which visually invokes the SevenDeadlySins.
* VillainousBreakdown: Both times he finds himself out-matched by Susanoomon, especially the second time.
--> '''Lucemon Larva''': You will not stand in the way of my utopia. Prepare for paradise!
* VocalDissonance: In the English dub. In his default form he looks and sounds like a kid. Then he absorbs the royal knights, turns into an adult... and still sounds like the same kid.
* WaveMotionGun: Satan Mode's Nihilism Maelstrom attack conjures symbols representing the SevenDeadlySins and then fires beams from them powerful enough to punch through the walls of the train station between worlds to what's left of the Digital World.
* YinYangBomb: As Falldown mode, he is both an angelic and a demonic being who possesses the loving nature of God and the hate of a Demon Lord. Doesn't prevent him from creating a world where all bows down to him, though.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: When the Royal Knights are finally beaten, he takes their data for himself to go to his Falldown mode, after they had freed him from his prison, no less.

[[folder:Darcmon, Hippogriffomon, and Murmukusmon]]
The main antagonist (not plural, ''single'') of ''Island of Lost Digimon'', Murmukusmon is a Demon Lord Digimon who seeks to [[BackFromTheDead revive]] [[OurGryphonsAreDifferent Ornismon]] in order to conquer the Digital World. To this end, he manipulated the Human and Beast tribes into a CivilWar by taking the form of a Darcmon and a Hippogriffmon and prodding the island's residents into war.
->Voiced by: Creator/TaraPlatt, Creator/WallyWingert, and Creator/BobPapenbrook respectively (EN), Takako Uehara, Creator/HikaruMidorikawa, and Ken Yamaguchi respectively (JP)
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: Darcmon isn't supposed to be a Digimon who plans on prodding a civil war to revive another dangerous Digimon. Not at least according to the Digimon Reference Book.
* BackFromTheDead: The revival of Ornismon is one of central plots of the film[[note]]hence why it is called "Revival of the Ancient Digimon" in the original[[/note]] and Murmukusmon's EvilPlan. He succeeds. However, he doesn't get to live long enough to exact his goal of ruling the Digital World due to the subsequent resurrection of [=AncientGreymon=] and [=AncientGarurumon=].
* BigBadEnsemble: Subverted, due to them being one and the same individual.
* BreathWeapon: Murmukusmon fires a purple energy blast from his mouth at one point.
* BrightIsNotGood: In contrast to many other [[DarkIsEvil Nightmare Soldier]] Digimon, Murmukusmon has a bright and colorful art design, but he's no pleasant Digimon to meet.
* ChainmailBikini: Darcmon wears one of these that's made of the same material as her mask.
* CrocodileTears: He's very good at faking emotions. Look no further to how when he (as Hippogriffmon) sheds tears for the fallen Beast Digimon and calling for the extermination of the island's Human Digimon in front of Grizzlymon and the other Beast Digimon. Nobody ever suspected a single thing about him.
* DemonLordsAndArchdevils: Murmukusmon is named after [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Murmur]], a Count of Hell who is mentioned in the ''Literature/ArsGoetia''. He's also classified as a Demon Lord.
* FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon: Darcmon might look like a pretty woman, but she's just one of the forms Murmukusmon takes to trick Human Digimon into a CivilWar.
* FacialMarkings: Subverted with Darcmon, who has markings on her mask instead. Murmukusmon has them around his eyes, though.
* FantasticRacism: Exploited by Murmukusmon to make the two factions fight each other so he could steal the data of those that were killed and reverted to [=DigiEggs=].
* GenderBender: Murmukusmon can slide evolve between the feminine appearing Darcmon and more masculine Hippogriffomon.
* GoldAndWhiteAreDivine: Darcmon is an angelic Digimon with gold and white. Hippogriffmon form also has gold ornaments on him, to a lesser extent.
* JeanneDArchetype: Invoked. Darcmon is named after Joan D'Arc and acts as a leader for the Human type Digimon, but it's just an act for Murmukusmon to trick the island's residents to a CivilWar.
* ManipulativeBastard: Murmukusmon is smart enough to slide evolve between Darcmon and Hippogriffmon to fool the island's residents into killing each other for no clear reason, with him being the only person who actually knows what is going on for some time because he fanned the crisis.
* OurAngelsAreDifferent: Darcmon is a female angel with four wings who wields a staff and a sword.
* PlayingBothSides: Murmukusmon pits the factions against each other so that he can absorb the data of fallen combatants as well as distract them as he worked on resurrecting Ornismon.
* TakeOverTheWorld: Murmukusmon wants to use Ornismon as a weapon to take over the Digital World. Our heroes aren't letting him leave the island.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: He fools the island's residents by slide evolving between Darcmon and Hippogriffmon. Bokomon also describes him as capable of shapeshifting via magic.
* WalkingSpoiler: Knowing that Darcmon and Hippogriffmon are manifestations of Murmukusmon is definitely this trope.
* WarIsHell: Invoked with both sides in order to goad them into trying to finish each other off quickly and release more data in the process.
* WouldHurtAChild: He sics Ornismon on Kotemon. Unfortunately, that's what led to the Ancient Warrior Ten temporarily reviving.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ornismon]]
An ancient avian Digimon that was defeated and sealed away on the Lost Island by [=AncientGreymon=] and [=AncientGarurumon=].
----
* BackFromTheDead: It gets revived by the data of the Digimon slain during the island's many battles.
* BreathWeapon: The only attack we see it use is a WaveMotionGun fired from its mouth.
* FeatheredFiend: Considering that it had to be sealed away by [=AncientGreymon=] and [=AncientGarurumon=], it's safe to say that Ornismon is one of these.
* PoweredByAForsakenChild: It comes back by absorbing data from Digimon slain on the island.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Mostly purple and powerful enough that it took everyone working together to slow it down enough for [=AncientGreymon=] and [=AncientGarurumon=] to finish off.

* JerkassHasAPoint: While he's a bit mean and [[BrutalHonesty blunt]] about it, Tommy ultimately realizes that he was trying to impart a lesson about how he can't rely on others to coddle him forever and he needs to stand up for himself.
* NamedByTheDub: Doesn't have a name in the original Japanese version.
