[[folder:The Parisian Police Squad]]
!!Jean-Philippe (JP) Delacroix
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jpdelacroixcityofromance.png]]
The high commissioner of the Parisian Police Squad, he also serves as the team's profiler.
-----
* AllWorkVsAllPlay: He's the All Play to Gauthier's All Work. Being a party animal and enjoying celebrations compared to Gauthier being a workaholic and stickier to the rules.
* AmicableExes: Discussed. He mentions that his relationship with his ex-wife Delphine is better ''after'' the divorce, and in Case 4, he's quite excited to meet one of his former lover. He does not take her murder well at all.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Despite being the top dog of the Parisian Police Squad, JP is very upbeat and informal, and seems more concerned about throwing parties and celebrations, rather than bothering with procedures and whatnot.
* ADayInTheLimelight: He serves as the player's partner during case 6.
* DontCallMeSir: He reprimands Emile for calling him "High Commissioner" instead of his preferred "JP".
* DragQueen: He used to work as a drag queen years ago called Elke von Shelp.
* DrowningMySorrows: He gets himself drunk after learning his ex-lover was murdered when they tried to reunite.
* GoodParents: Despite them being polar opposites from each other, Jean-Philippe is shown to truly care for his son and wants him to enjoy the best in life. He even convinces his friend to throw a private circus performance for Gauthier as a birthday gift.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: His appearance is based on Creator/JeffGoldblum.
* ShipperOnDeck: He appears to be this for Carrie and Enzo.
* WackyParentSeriousChild: Jean-Philippe is laid-back and fun-loving, and his first appearance saw him [[EstablishingCharacterMoment arguing with Nadia over the authenticity of some desserts]] he's bought as a welcome gift to the new recruits. This is in contrast to his son's more professional approach.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: He's terrified of snakes.

!!Gauthier Delacroix
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gdelacroixcityofromance.png]]
The police chief of the Parisian Police Squad, and Jean-Philippe's son. Like his father, he can also serve as the team's profiler when Jean-Philippe is otherwise unavailable.
-----
* AllWorkVsAllPlay: He's the All Work to JP's All Play. Being a workaholic and stickier to the rules compared to JP being a party animal and enjoying celebrations .
* ChasteHero: Unlike the rest of his team, Gauthier never express any interest in romance or romantic pursuits, and no one else seriously encourage him to do so.
* AFatherToHisMen: Chief Delacroix is always looking out for his team (including his father), and is willing to go on "lowly" street patrols to help them when they are in trouble--such as helping Carrie look for her brother in the first chapter's Additional Investigation, or going to look for Emile when he gets addicted with the Luvver app in chapter 12.
* NiceGuy: Despite being a workaholic, Chief Delacroix is friendly, amicable and is always ready to help out his friends. In the final AI, he even helps [[spoiler:Jones]] solve a riddle given to him by his girlfriend, even though such behest would be way below his paygrade.
* VagueAge: Gauthier is the only main character (aside from the Player) whose age is never revealed despite the fact that he's also the only main character who has had his birthday celebrated onscreen. All the previous chiefs are at least in their 40s, although the fact that his father is only 63 makes it unlikely that he's the same age.
* WackyParentSeriousChild: While he's more warm and friendly than the usual example of the trope, Gauthier is described by his father as a stickler to the rules, unlike JP who is more of a party animal. This is highlighted in the Additional Investigation of Chapter 3, where during the welcome party JP threw for Carrie and the Player, Gauthier mentions how he's not too fond of parties and won't be staying long.
* {{Workaholic}}: The Chief doesn't seem to enjoy non-work related activities such as parties, and his father complains that he needs a life outside work.

!!Hugo Mercier
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hmerciercityofromance.png]]
An officer in the Parisian Police Squad who serves as one of the player's partners.

-----
* AmicableExes: With Judge Clementine Lebrun. He even learns from Emile that she still speaks fondly about him despite their divorce.
* ArchEnemy: Antoine Macaron serves as this for him.
* {{Catchphrase}}: He tends to say "Allez hop" (come on) at the end of each dialogue during investigation.
* DistractedByTheSexy: Gets flustered whenever he has to talk to Supermodel Noemie Leprince. However, he gets turned off by her [[spoiler:once she's revealed to be CĂ©leste Alouest's killer.]]
* WorkingWithTheEx: His ex-wife Lebrun is also the judge of the Paris court.

!!Carrie James
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cjamescityofromance.png]]
An officer from LA who newly joined the Parisian Police Squad who serves as one of the player's partners.
-----
* ClearTheirName: In case 11, she had a job to find and clear these gems which had Cody's fingerprints that Antoine planned to use to frame him of being a thief.
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: She has to slap Emile hard in the face to snap him out of his addiction to the Luvver app during the hearts competition.
* HappilyMarried: To Enzo in the finale.
* LongLostRelative: She came to Paris to search for her brother who disappeared when she was only 12.
* OfficialCouple: She and Enzo end up engaged in case 16.
* ShipperOnDeck: Zigzagged. She's initially shown to be very supportive of Cody's and Eleonora's relationship but later changes her mind about it, feeling uncomfortable about him marrying a mobster's daughter.
* TearsOfJoy: She cries these after finally reuniting with her brother.
* TokenMinority: The only American working in the Parisian Police Squad. This is lampshaded in Case 12's Additional Investigation.

!!Nadia Ben Yamin
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nbyamincityofromance.png]]
The Parisian Police Squad's medical examiner, her main role is to outline how the victims of each case died.
-----
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: It is revealed that when she was younger, she had a thing for Antoine Macaron, which doesn't seem to have died out when she grew up and became a coroner.
* AllWomenAreLustful: Upon first meeting her, she is openly flirty towards the player and Carrie, and she even gushes about the bodies that are brought in for an autopsy. She also tends to be quite open about her sexual kinks when discussing how the victim was murdered.
%% TheFashionista
* EveryoneHasStandards:
** While she shows great admiration for each body she receives and also in fashion, she is shown to be quite disgusted with how baby animals are illegally exported or even turned into fashion after taking care of two tiger cubs.
** While she usually enjoys erotic beatings, the way the victim was beaten to death in Case 10 was far too extreme even for her.
* ReallyGetsAround: Discussed. She mentions that she can't settle down with just one person, and clearly has plenty of sexual experience.
* SweetTooth: In case 13, she mentions that she really likes doughnuts.
* TeamMom: Being one of the oldest members of the group, she often tends to show her more caring and motherly side to the team, like when she's comforting Enzo over the death of Lola du Maurier.

!!Enzo Traore
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/etraorcityofromance.png]]
The head of the Parisian Police Squad's forensics laboratory, he analyzes different clues for trace evidence and helps you identify unknown substances that come up during investigations.
-----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: Zigzagged. Enzo never passes on the chance to hit on Carrie, but she never seems to reciprocate his affections, although she later admits that she's not ''that'' unaffected by his flirtations. In Case 8, he manages to win a date with her, but due to his overly forward manners and possessiveness, she gets turned off and leaves before they can start going out. However, after he learns to be more considerate, she agrees to give him another chance [[spoiler: and eventually marries him.]]
* TheCasanova: Always going out of his way to charm and date a woman (including Carrie upon first meeting her) when he gets a chance.
* CharacterDevelopment: The murder of Lola du Maurier had a really big impact on him, causing him to realize just how important people close to him really are. This causes him to show a more softer and caring side towards Carrie, especially when she starts to feel unwell. Even Carrie talks about how much he has changed and how she likes the new Enzo.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: In case 10, he decided to climb onto the trapeze so he could see the world from his perspective, however, he was unable to get down again and had to be rescued.
* HappilyMarried: To Carrie in the finale.
* HiddenDepths: Outside of his work as a scientist, he is also an avid tennis player. He also has an interest in watches which he inherited from his grandfather.
* ItsAllAboutMe: He is known to be very self-absorbed, especially when it comes to going on dates. This serves as an annoyance for Carrie.
* JerkassRealization: The loss of Lola du Maurier and almost losing Carrie when she is sick helps him realize how important the lives of those he cares about are, causing him to become less self-centred and more caring to his friends.
* ManChild: His self-absorbed attitude makes him appear as this. Carrie even lampshades how he needs to grow up before he has a chance with her,
* MrFanservice: He isn't afraid to show off his looks in order to impress the ladies.
* OfficialCouple: He and Carrie end up engaged in case 16.
* TallDarkAndHandsome: He's dark-skinned and one of the taller members of The Parisian Police Squad. On top of that, he often talks about being a PrettyBoy.
* TookALevelInKindness: He was already a pretty nice guy to start off with, but he learns just how important the lives of his friends really are when he loses Lola du Maurier and almost loses Carrie, becoming more loyal and caring towards Carrie and the rest of his friends.
* UnmanlySecret: Due to being the pretty boy in school, he was cast as princesses in school plays and even shows Carrie his role as Cinderella.

!!Emile Bardot
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bardotcityofromance.png]]
The head of the Parisian Police Squad's digital forensics team, he helps you to analyze tapes, camera imagery and footage, and computer hardware.
-----
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Usually very smart and observant when it comes to technology, he becomes so obsessed with his Luvver dating app during its hearts competition and everyone starts to worry about his sudden beaver. Carrie has to slap him to snap him out of it.
* WhatTheHellHero: His argument with Samy Malouf about his Luvver app caused him to become a suspect in the season finale.
* YouNeedToGetLaid: The Police Squad (especially Enzo) believes that Emile should consider joining a dating site and land himself a girlfriend. While Emile was initially nervous about putting himself in the dating spotlight, he did seriously try to find his love once he created his account.

!!Lea Bonnet
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lbonnetcityofromance_3.png]]
A beat cop in the Parisian Police Squad, Lea patrols the general area the player's investigating and gives new leads.
-----

* {{Expy}}: To Mia Loukas. Both are the beat cop on the team who makes minor appearances. However, she debuts at the start while Mia debuts halfway through the season. She also doesn't get much development in comparison to Mia.
* FlatCharacter: This is most likely unintentional but due to the final season being shortened down to 17 cases, she didn't get any chance of CharacterDevelopment or story.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Like the rest of the crew, she is always supportive of the player and always ready to do her part to help. as well as her short blonde hair.
* MustHaveCaffeine: Implied in case 2 where she says she's more active than usual because she's excited to help or due to too much coffee.

-----
* AmicableExes: Even though she divorces Hugo, Judge Lebrun holds no bitterness towards him, and speaks of Hugo quite fondly when discussing about him.
* PrimAndProperBun: Judge Lebrun is a no-nonsense woman who ties her hair up into a neat bun. She keeps the hairstyle even when off-duty when she meets Emile for a supposed date.

!!Cody James
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/codyjamescityofromance_6.png]]
Carrie's long lost brother who is discovered to be part of Antoine's gang
-----
* ClearMyName: He needed help from Carrie's help to clear a bunch of gems with his fingerprints that Antoine planned to use to frame him of being a thief if he ever left the mafia.
* CrazyJealousGuy: He gets enraged when he thinks Eleonora is cheating on him with another guy after finding a gift for her from someone else and goes to confront him. Turns out it was just a thank-you gift.
* LongLostRelative: The long lost brother to Carrie, which is what led her to start working in the Parisian Police Squad.
* StarCrossedLovers: While serving as an ally to the Parisian Police Squad against Macaron's gang, he is still in a romantic relationship with his daughter Eleonora. [[spoiler: But the revelation that Antoine disapproved of their relationship after his death causes Eleonora to break it off out of respect for him.]]
* TokenGoodTeammate: He's ostensibly a member of Macaron's mafia crew, but he's nothing short of a NiceGuy and doesn't seem to be involved in any of his leader's criminal exploits.

!!Antoine Macaron

-----
* AssholeVictim: [[spoiler: It's hard to feel sorry for him when you learn that he refused to help his killer's mother (whom he was dating at the time) as a teenager unless they worked for him. Aside from that, he strung along a dominatrix who genuinely loved him, using her simply to get free services.]]
* ArchEnemy: He's this to Hugo Mercier and seemingly Gauthier Delacroix as well.
* VictimOfTheWeek: [[spoiler: He's the penultimate victim of the season.]]
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: From his name to his status as leader of a criminal group, it's like he's the French version of Tony Marconi.

!!Eleonora Macaron
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/emacaroncityofromance.png]]
The daughter of Antoine Macaron and girlfriend of Carrie's brother.
-----
* BitchInSheepsClothing: [[spoiler: She's revealed to be this in the final case after she is found to be the killer. It turns out her friendliness towards the team and her romance with Cody, were all a facade from the beginning as she was completely loyal to her father and masterminded a plot to undermine the French President so Antoine could easily take the presidency. She hired Samy to help defame the president and later killed him after he decided to run for president himself after Antoine's death. After her arrest, Carrie cannot express enough her gratitude that Cody didn't end up marrying her.]]
* [[spoiler: FakeDefector: In the finale, it's discovered she was never against her father's work in the Mafia at all and she was just playing everyone like puppets. It's also revealed she was the one responsible for Luvver's corruption so they can take over France.]]
* {{Foil}}: To Nebet. Both characters start off as loyal friends and allies towards the police squad but then are later revealed to be EvilAllAlong, playing the team into getting things their way. At the end, both of them have their plans foiled by the player character. However, unlike Nebet who becomes the final victim of the season and feels remorseful for her actions, Eleonora is revealed to be the final killer and is unrepentant.
* LifeOfTheParty: Being a socialite, she is seen at almost every classy party that arrives and highly views herself this way.
* LikeFatherUnlikeSon: More like Like Father, Unlike Daughter. She is strongly against her father being a mafia leader. [[spoiler: Subverted in the final case where she is the killer and revealed to be the mastermind behind a plan to make her father president.]]
* SweetTooth: In the season finale, she's shown to enjoy doughnuts (introduced to her by Cody).
* ThickerThanWater: Although she condemns her father's work as a mafioso, Eleonora is quite defensive of Antoine when a stage performer makes a mockery out of him. [[spoiler: When Antoine is eventually murdered, Eleonora is so devastated by her father's death that she decides to honor his memory by breaking up with Cody, whom Antoine detests.]]
-->'''Eleonora:''' I might not agree with what my father does, but family is family. I couldn't let her get away with disrespecting him like that in front of all those people, <Player Character>.
