!!Victoria Tailor

The main character of the series. She starts off quite terrified of everything she's seeing, but as the series progresses, she comes into her own as a warrior and is quickly adopted as a member of the Maximals. She's resourceful and quick to think on her feet -- most of her plans just involve her winging it, after all -- and at times, those plans are successful in winning the day. As the series goes on, she becomes braver, but also more bull-headed and stubborn as the battles take their toll. Being away from her friends and family to, as she puts it, play superhero in the past doesn't help, nor does seeing a lot of friends die during the war. Her preferred weapon is a bow and arrow, though she's not afraid to use whatever she can get her hands on, from an iron rod to one of Rhinox's chain guns of doom.

Tropes that apply to Victoria:

* ActionGirl: Very, very much, though not at first.
* AudienceSurrogate: This is her story; she's meant to be the eyes and ears of the audience.
* BeautyIsNeverTarnished: [[AvertedTrope All the times she's been cut, shot at, and nearly crushed would beg to differ.]]
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: In the first movie courtesy of Magmatron.
* BreakTheCutie: Most of the series seems to be a test to see how much she can take before snapping. She's seen more people -- human and robot -- die than most people her age, she's in a war for the survival of all reality, she's constantly separated from her friends and family back home....WordOfGod is that she maintains that cold mentality she has at the end of the series for the rest of her life as a ShellShockedVeteran.
* DeathGlare: She becomes quite adept in delivering these near the end. She even scares Silverbolt.
--> '''Silverbolt''': Stop looking at me like that.
--> '''Silverbolt''': (later on, to Rattrap:) I have learned that when she gives you that look, you stop talking.
* DeathSeeker: Optimus accuses her of being this at one point, even though all she wanted to do was get Dinobot back.
* {{Expy}}: Of [[Manga/{{Inuyasha}} Kagome Higurashi]].
* GoshDangItToHeck: You can count the amount of times Victoria says any PG-Rated swear words on one finger.
* IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim: She comes dangerously close to killing Jean-Louis in the finale of the third movie, but the other characters talk her out of it, saying that if she does, she's no better than Galvatron.
* InterspeciesRomance: Between her and Cheetor, though it starts off as a sort of brother-sister relationship.
* MsFanservice: Not in the sexual ways, of course, but just in how pretty she is. Everyone comments on it, and during one [[DreamSequence coma induced dream]], even her friends say she's the cutest girl in school.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: She delivers a pretty nasty one to the Maximals during their tenure in the Labyrinth near the end. You can read it on the main page.
* RunningGag: Making up her plans on the fly, much to the ire of Rattrap.
* ShellShockedVeteran: The Beast Wars leave a hell of a toll on her mental health.
* SmurfettePrinciple: After Airrazor vanishes along with Tigatron, she becomes the only female Maximal on the team.
* TimeTravel: And to think it all happened by accident.
* WarIsHell: She begins to realize this pretty quickly into the second season.
* WhyDontYouJustShootHim: She suggest Optimus do this to Galvatron near the end of Season Two.

!!Optimus Primal

The leader of the Maximals, with the Beast Form of a silverback gorilla. Optimus is brave, intelligent, noble, and more than willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good. He plays the double role of mentor and surrogate father to not only Victoria, but all the Maximals. After the quantum surge hits at the start of Season Two, he gains a [=TransMetal=] Mode which is replaced at the end of Season Two with a new pseudo-[=TransMetal=] Two mode.

Tropes that apply to Optimus:

* AmplifierArtifact: Optimus Prime's spark.
* BackFromTheDead: In the second movie.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: By far one of the nicest characters in the story ... and a formidable combatant if pushed into action.
* CameBackStrong: After being revived from getting torched by Galvatron in the second movie, he proceeded to kick some serious dragon ass.
* CatchPhrase:
--> Let's hit it, bots!
%%* DeadpanSnarker
* DeathIsCheap: He gets torched to death in the second movie. Comes back during the end of the movie after being revived.
* DualWielding: Two swords.
* {{Expy}}: Of Optimus Prime. Duh.
* AFatherToHisMen: Treats his men like family and is willing to go on the warpath to protect them
* GeniusBruiser: It's easy to overlook, but Primal isn't a soldier, he's a scientist. Turns out he ''started out'' as a soldier, then became a scientist when he got sick of it. Then the Beast Wars forced him to become a soldier again.
%%* TheGoodCaptain
* GoodIsNotDumb: He's one of the most noble characters in the series, and one of the most cunning to go with it.
* TheHeroDies: Less times than last time -- only once as opposed to five times.
* HeroicSacrifice: And it wasn't even intentional on his part.
%%* TheLeader
* LegacyCharacter: He's a descendant of Optimus Prime.
* LookWhatICanDoNow: For every "upgrade" he receives in this series:
--> Cheetor: Optimus sure learns a new body fast.
--> Rattrap: Well wha'd ya expect? He changes 'em often enough.
* MartialPacifist: Optimus would much rather be off exploring the universe than fighting a war, but that doesn't mean he's incapable of thrashing Predacons if the need arises.
* MoreDakka: As befitting a commander.
** In his original form: Arm-mounted cannons? Check. Shoulder-mounted missile launchers? Check. Dual scimitars? Check.
** His Transmetal body replaces the above with dual pistols, shoulder-mounted machine guns, and dual maces.
** After fusing with Optimus Prime's spark, Primal surprisingly has less overall Dakka, but it got a lot bigger.
* NeckSnap: How he kills the Panther King.
* NoodleIncident: Apparently something happened between him and a human that made him want the Maximals to limit their contact with humans. We never learn what that is.
* ShutUpHannibal:
-->'''Galvatron:''' Oh well, come on, let's have it! The usual "destiny and honor" speech!
-->'''Optimus:''' Speech '''''*punch*''''' ''this''! Murderer.
* SkySurfing: His Transmetal form has this ability.
* TankGoodness: After fusing with Optimus Prime's spark.
* TeamDad:
** For all the Maximals, basically.
** Though not as blatant as his relationship with Cheetor, Silverbolt also comes off like an older son of Optimus', perhaps most notably shown in ''The Agenda: Part 2'' where Silverbolt gets a stern paternal talking to from Optimus and then gets, essentially, grounded.
* TheWorfEffect: Eh, kind of. He might not get it as bad as before, but sometimes certain elements outside of his control prevent him from being as effective as he'd like to be after getting this final upgrade.

!!Cheetor

One of the youngest of the Maximals, his Beast Form is a cheetah. Initially, he was just as witty and sarcastic as he was before, but once Spittor entered the picture again, that all changed and he made a complete one-eighty into a brooding, angsty character who only wants to see Spittor dead. He learns the hard way that revenge is not all it's cracked up to be. He becomes a [=TransMetal=] at the start of Season Two and partway through Season Three he becomes a [=TransMetal=] Two. He starts off having a brother-sister relationship with Victoria, but it soon becomes something more than that.

Tropes that apply to Cheetor:

* BackToBackBadasses: With Tigatron at the end of Season One.
* BashBrothers: First with Tigatron, then with Dinobot.
* BerserkButton: It used to be Spittor's very existence -- hell, just mentioning his name was enough to set Cheetor off. After Spittor finally bit it, his button changed to harming any of his friends, particularly Victoria.
* {{BFS}}: He has a sword in his first two forms. Once he becomes a [=TransMetal=] Two, he starts using his claws as his melee weapons.
* BigBrotherInstinct: He says in the first movie that Victoria is like a little sister to him. That slowly changes.
* CatchPhrase: His constant yells of "SHUT UP!" could count.
* CatsAreMean: Only to his enemies.
* CharacterDevelopment: His progression from how he was at the end of the original series to a revenge seeking hero to merely wanting to protect his loved ones starts right from the moment we meet him.
* DeadpanSnarker: One of the most adept in the series. Everything he says tends to lean towards sarcasm or dry humor.
* {{Expy}}: Of Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7. He was even written with Cloud's voice actor, Steve Burton, in mind.
* FriendToAllChildren: He has a bit of a soft spot for little kids.
* GrievousHarmWithABody: He uses Kickback's decapitated head to bludgeon Sharpshot in the finale.
* HopelessSuitor: Every girlfriend he's had (a whole two of them) either died or had to stay behind when he went back to Cybertron.
* HowDoIShotWeb: He had some difficulties figuring out his new bodies in both the season 2 premiere and the middle of the season 3. In the latter, it's so ridiculously overpowered it overloads his brain and briefly reduces him to a feral animal.
* ILetGwenStacyDie: He feels this way about what happened to Natalie.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: He's been blasted and stabbed through the gut more than once. That could be one reason why he's so angry. Getting stabbed and shot probably hurts.
* JetPack: He has one in both of his Transmetal forms.
* JustAKid: Used to be the youngest, most inexperienced member of the group. Not so much anymore.
* LeeroyJenkins: He's pulled some frankly idiotic stunts in attempt to get back at Spittor. Victoria lampshades it.
* LightningBruiser: The fastest Maximal and one of the hardest hitters on the team. Even Megatron can attest to that.
* LookWhatICanDoNow: He does this twice, but the second time is the important one, since he [[TookALevelInBadass takes a level in badass]] while he's at it.
* MyGreatestFailure: Natalie's death at the hands of Spittor.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: No one, not even MEGATRON, is safe from this when he gets angry.
* TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou: Spittor is his enemy, no one else's.
* PantheraAwesome: Though ''technically'' speaking, cheetahs aren't part of the ''panthera'' genus.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: He stops acting alone once Spittor has been killed. Not to say he wouldn't be a team player before, of course.
* ThePowerOfLove: He won't admit it until the end, but it's his love for Victoria that helps him get through each battle.
* RevengeBeforeReason: Spittor's around? Then nothing else matters.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: An admittedly glorious one occurs when Spittor kills Natalie. It takes Air Hammer to snap him out of it.
* TookALevelInBadass: Pretty much the entire series.
* UndyingLoyalty: To all the Maximals.
* VengeanceFeelsEmpty: Revenge doesn't solve anything. In fact, it just makes things worse for everyone.
* WarisHell: It's certainly taking a toll on him. Between being away from Cybertron for 80,000 years, constantly fighting the Predacons, watching one friend defect and even more friends die -- some, like Bantor and Air Hammer, in incredibly horrifying ways, according to Rattrap -- he's not the same Cheetor he was before.
* WolverineClaws: As a Transmetal-2. And he knows how to use them.

!!Rattrap

The team's demolition expert, he's taken on the Beast Form of a rat -- just in case his name didn't clear that up. He's sarcastic, a bit pessimistic, and kind of a jerk, but when push comes to shove, he can always be counted on to help out, even though he'll probably complain the entire time. He becomes a [=TransMetal=] at the start of Season Two and maintains that form throughout the rest of the series.

Tropes that apply to Rattrap:

* AliensOfLondon: His accent is rather strong.
* CatchPhrase:
-->"We're all gonna die."
-->"Oh, maaan!"
-->"I hate it when you say that" (in response to Victoria's "I'm making it up as I go" plans)
-->"For booting up cold!
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Rattrap is a bit of a coward, but he's capable of great heroics and is a decent fighter.
* DeadpanSnarker: This show has a pretty witty cast, so many of them fit this trope. However, there are episodes where this is ''all'' Rattrap does.
* DemolitionsExpert: He's the Maximal Primal turns to whenever he needs something blown up.
* FantasticRacism: He makes it clear that he absolutely ''hates'' Predacons or Decepticons moreso than normal for a Maximal.
* FireForgedFriends: Despite his sardonic personality, he ends up having this relationship with pretty much every Maximal save for Optimus or Rhinox. Especially Dinobot.
%%* GuileHero
* HavingABlast: He carries a number of surprisingly powerful demolition bombs with him at all times.
* HowDoIShotWeb: He initially has some difficulties figuring out his Transmetal body. ''Especially'' the vehicle mode.
* HyperCompetentSidekick: Optimus demands a ''lot'' from his the poor rat, knowing that he always comes through.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Courtesy of a revived Dinobot. He almost dies because of it.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He whines, he moans, he mocks, he groans. He openly voices his disdain regarding missions and is the most cowardly member of the Maximal crew. Yet, he is possibly Primal's most loyal cadet and, though reluctantly, always eventually accepts his missions.
%%* KnightInSourArmour
* LovableCoward: A minor example. He's not so much a coward as he is unwilling to do something stupid and get himself killed....Even though that almost happens in Season Three.
* MrViceGuy: Outside of his grating personality, Rattrap alludes to regular visits to the transformer-equivalent of seedy topless bars and casinos back on Cybertron.
* TheNicknamer: He has nicknames for everyone: "Boss Monkey" for Optimus, "Godzilla" for Grimlock, too many to list for Dinobot, and he never calls Victoria by name, only calling her "kid" or "kiddo".
* PhraseCatcher:
-->"Shut up, Rattrap."
%%* PragmaticHero
* RoboFamily: He made a throwaway reference to his [[Franchise/TransformersGeneration1 "Great Aunt Arcee"]].
* RodentsOfUnusualSize: His alt-mode is a giant rat.
* SarcasticDevotee: Despite the fact that he's Primal's biggest biggest critic, his loyalty to the Maximals never actually wavers.
* SourSupporter: Rattrap doesn't hesitate to put his life on the line for his fellow Maximals...or to complain about having to do so.
* UndyingLoyalty: Despite his personality flaws and constant complaints, he'd rather die than betray the other Maximals. He reacts violently to any perceived or potential betrayals on the team.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Dinobot. In the earlier episodes, they hate each other, hurling insults back and forth at basically every opportunity. As the series progresses, they form a grudging respect for one another, with their comments serving more as WittyBanter than actual malicious intent. This continues even after Dinobot's [[HeelFaceRevolvingDoor temporary betrayal]] and, most notably, during his death scene. Rattrap is even the first to stand and salute in respect of his fallen comrade.

!!Rhinox

Rhinox has been around since the beginning. He's more reserved than the other Maximals, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know how to bring the pain. In fact, even Megatron is sent running when Rhinox breaks out the chain guns of doom. He's Optimus's closest friend and has stood by his side since they arrived on Earth.

Tropes applying to Rhinox:

* {{BFG}}: Two of them.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He's happy in peacetime, likes smelling flowers, and mostly stays off the battlefield, despite the fact that he could lead the Maximals if he wanted. However, that doesn't make him a pushover and like the animal he's named after, he has a bit of a temper.
* TheBigGuy: One of the biggest in the series.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: There's the episode "Dark Designs of the Predacons" where he's turned into a Predacon -- and proves to be a more effective villain than most of the Predacons ''put together.'' And then there's what happens with Chaos.
* BrilliantButLazy:
** Rhinox has shown multiple times that he is a capable leader and a powerful warrior. Optimus has stated that he could lead the Maximals if he wanted, but Rhinox is perfectly happy smelling flowers and toiling with his gadgets.
** When given a Predacon aggression boost, Megatron finds out just what Rhinox's brains and brawns can do to when not restricted by any morality and given an ample dose of ambition.
%%* CombatMedic
* ExactlyWhatIAimedAt: During one shootout, he completely misses the Predacons, but that's because he was shooting at the cliff above them so he could bury them in an avalanche.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Except the Predacons, of course.
* GadgeteerGenius: He manages to create a virtually impenetrable defense system for the Maximal base after they'd already crashed, in spite of there being no raw materials around.
* GatlingGood: Rhinox's '[[GunsAkimbo Chainguns of Doom]]' are arguably the most memorable weapons in the series. He often enters battle firing off both at once.
* GeniusBruiser: He may be TheBigGuy but he's also the ''mechanic'' and science officer.
* GentleGiant: Like Optimus and Grimlock, he's a big guy but also a big softy.
* HyperCompetentSidekick: He's the most trusted and widely skilled of the Maximals. A very effective commander, if somewhat less charismatic than Optimus, a genius scientist, and very in-touch with the more spiritual aspects of Transformer life. The only reason he isn't leader himself is because he doesn't want the job when he could be doing more important background work.
%%* MartialPacifist
* MightyGlacier: He's one of the slowest of the Maximals, but he doesn't need speed with his strength and firepower.
* MissionControl: Whenever he's not on the field, he acts as this.
* TheNicknamer: Usually refers to Victoria as "squirt".
* RenaissanceMan: His extremely wide range of skills earn him the respect of even some Predacons.
* TheSmartGuy: A weird case where he's this as well as TheBigGuy.
* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Not exactly superpowered, but when he's reprogrammed as a Predacon, he's one hell of a competent villain.

!!Dinobot

Dinobot used to be a Predacon, until he changed sides due to thinking Megatron had betrayed him. At times, it seems like he still thinks of himself as a Predacons despite being with the Maximals for 80,000 years. He's very samurai-like, loyally serving Optimus despite his viewpoint, and despite his views of the other Maximals, he regards them as his closest comrades and at one point even calls them his friends. He ended up dying during a nasty battle and was briefly brought back as a Predacon, but Victoria and Rattrap fixed that.

Tropes that apply to Dinobot:

* BackFromTheDead: As a Predacon for a brief tenure.
* BashBrothers: Is this with Cheetor after Tigatron disappears.
* BeAllMySinsRemembered:
-->''"Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly, the ill deeds along with the good... and let me be judged accordingly. [[Theatre/{{Hamlet}} The rest is silence..."''
* {{BFS}}: His preferred weapon.
%%* TheBigGuy
* BloodKnight: He rarely seemed satisfied when not in battle, often chafing under the more peace-loving Maximals.
* {{Bushido}}: Follows the way of the warrior.
%% What traits? * ByronicHero: Has several traits of one.
* CastFromHitPoints: He uses up the remainder of his energy to destroy the Golden Disk so Galvatron can't alter the future freely.
* DeadpanSnarker: He could rival Rattrap in this department.
* DeathSeeker: After his temporary return to the Predacons in the second season in which he returned the Golden Disc to Galvatron despite knowing the latter's insane plan, he is nearly driven to suicide by the betrayal of his honor.
* DyingMomentOfAwesome: He disabled nearly all of the Predacons by himself just to save one Native American village. In the process, he ruined one of Galvatron's plans to alter reality. He died from his wounds and Energon loss shortly afterwards.
* EasilyForgiven: Subverted. After the events of "Maximal, No More", at least one Maximal would express their ill feelings towards Dinobot for what he did. In the next episode, "Code of A Hero", Dinobot redeems himself, albeit at the cost of his own life.
* EyeBeams: His only built-in distance weaponry.
* EyeScream: How he finishes off Inferno after a No Holds Barred Beatdown.
* TheFatalist: He begins to think along these lines during Season 2, wondering whether a recorded future (such as the one in the Golden Disc) is immutable or not. Turns out it isn't, but he chooses to go along with it anyway.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Until his HeroicSacrifice, which secured his place on the "face" side of the door forever.
%%* HeroicSacrifice
* HonorBeforeReason: He considers betraying his code to be worse than death.
* IFightForTheStrongestSide: He switched back to the Predacons temporarily because he thought they were going to win the war, only to quickly realize that he made the wrong choice.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: During his time as a Predacon, he nearly kills Rattrap this way.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: It's buried deep, but he eventually comes to care for his Maximal comrades and value life that is weaker than him. As he's dying, he even calls them his friends.
%%* KnightInSourArmor
* LetsFightLikeGentlemen: His sense of honor, while a stark contrast to Silverbolt's, demands that he fight fairly in all his battles and to rebel against insane ambitions, even if it would garner him the upper hand to follow.
* MyGreatestFailure: Handing the Golden Disk back to Galvatron is seen as this in his eyes. It's what leads to....Well, we've said it enough.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Against Inferno during the finale. Ending with an Eye Scream. Did we mention this is all from Inferno's point of view?
* OneManArmy: Dinobot is able to take on any single Predacon in single combat short of being cheap-shotted by them but in ''Code Of A Hero'', he shows he could take them ''all'' on.
* RedemptionEqualsDeath: After he temporarily rejoins the Predacons, the other Maximals don't trust him as much until his HeroicSacrifice.
--> Rattrap: "It's like I always said; you may just be a slag-spoutin' saurian... but it's nice to know where you stand."
* {{Seppuku}}: He's seen strongly considering this in "Code Of A Hero" to regain his honour after his temporary FaceHeelTurn, but is ultimately unable to go through with it. Good thing, too, as he ended up being the only thing standing between Galvatron and the latter's plan to slaughter a Native American village.
* SpectacularSpinning: His raptor tail splits into two parts that spin to make a shield of some sorts; the segments of his sword also spin.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Started out as this when he joined the Maximals, but mellowed out shortly.
* VerbalTic: A lot of his speech is punctuated by a deep, throaty growl.
* VisionQuest: Of a sort. After the incident with Chaos, he goes off on his own in an attempt to regain his lost honor. It culminates in him helping a small farming family fend off some rogue Confederate soldiers.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Rattrap. At the beginning, they basically hate each other and hurl insults back and forth at basically every opportunity. By the second season, though, they have formed a grudging respect for one another, with their comments serving more as WittyBanter than actual malicious intent. This continues even after Dinobot's [[HeelFaceRevolvingDoor temporary betrayal]] and, most notably, during his death scene. Rattrap is even the first to stand and salute in respect of his fallen comrade.
* WarriorPoet: Ideas of honor and pride strongly influence his fighting style. He quotes Shakespeare a few times, notably when he dies.

!!Silverbolt

A Fuzor -- a mix of two creatures, in this case, a wolf and an eagle. As such, he's very brave and very noble, putting others before himself, especially those he cares about, ESPECIALLY Blackarachnia. Despite his love for an enemy, he's a very loyal Maximal and very dedicated to his friends and teammates. Blackarachnia is the only Predacon he really cares for, if only because he's secretly got a crush on her -- even though it's not much of a secret, as all the Maximals know this -- and after the incident with Transmutate, he briefly has no beef with Rampage.

Tropes that apply to Silverbolt:

* BashBrothers: With more than a few Maximals, such as Cheetor and Tigerhawk. When the Maximals and Predacons join forces against Magmatron in the first movie, he becomes one with Inferno and WASPINATOR, of all bots.
* BerserkButton: He is very protective of his fellow Maximals and Blackarachnia. Those who attempt to harm/kill them [[CurbStompBattle find out the hard way.]]
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He is very protective of his fellow Maximals and Blackarachnia. Those who attempt to harm/kill them [[CurbStompBattle find out the hard way.]]
* {{BFS}}: He can use his wing missiles as these.
* BigDamnHeroes: Shows up almost out of nowhere to save Victoria from Blackarachnia and the Insecticons.
* BlindedByLove: Accused of this thanks to his crush on Blackarachnia.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Silverbolt is a bit naive, but he fights hard to make up for it.
* DatingCatwoman: Not like nobody notices; it's as obvious as the wings on his back.
* TheFace: He stands out in the group by being a wolf/eagle chimera and he's even social with his enemies.
* GatlingGood: Sometimes uses the gun on his chest in battle.
* TheHeart: Especially in "Transmutate".
%%* HonorBeforeReason
* KnightInShiningArmor: Technically the armor is ''feathered'', but you get the idea. This is often PlayedForLaughs, as he's surrounded by less idealistic characters.
* LoveMakesYouCrazy: Not only does he wind up openly assisting Blackarachnia in her schemes, but when Rattrap makes a fairly mild crack about the two of them, Silverbolt tries to ''beat his head in''. He also punches out Cheetor, just because he didn't want the cat-bot to be the one to bring Blackarachnia in. This from the guy who'd once declared that attacking your own teammates was totally unacceptable.
* LoveMakesYouDumb: His devotion to Blackarachnia makes him do some incredibly stupid things near the end of Season Two.
* MoralityPet: Blackarachnia relents and gives Galvatron the codes to the Ark, once he threatens Silverbolt.
* MyGreatestFailure: He doesn't dwell on it all that often, but he sees Blackarachnia's death as this, even though he had no control over that.
* ShrinkingViolet: Played For Laughs when on the receiving end of one of Victoria's Death Glares.
* StupidGood: Toward Blackarachnia, to the point where even his fellow Maximals wonder if his processor has a glitch.
* ThinksLikeARomanceNovel: Often the case.
* TrueCompanions: With all the Maximals.
* WhyDontYouJustShootHim: If he ever considers this, you know the situation is getting out of control.
* WouldntHitAGirl: To the point where even ''Blackarachnia'' gets irritated. In "The Agenda: Part 2", she ''shoots him'', and he somehow manages to rationalize it as a good thing. And before this, he attacks Cheetor, but not Victoria.

!!Airrazor

Airrazor has the Beast Form of a peregrine falcon. As such, she's one of the best and fastest fliers on the team. She has a bit of a platonic relationship with Tigatron, but the other Maximals suspect it may be more than that. Back when Bonecrusher was still a Maximal, he had an attraction towards her, but she didn't return his favor, so he left for the Predacons. Airrazor takes every opportunity she has to mock him for defecting over something to petty. She, along with Tigatron, are abducted by the spirits during the halfway point of Season Two and after a while, the other Maximals believe them to be dead, until they come back fused as Tigerhawk partway through Season Three.

Tropes that apply to Airrazor:

* TheAce: She has shades of this, in large part due to being the best flyer the Maximals had at the time, or in the Beast Wars, period.
* ActionGirl: A female Maximal who kicks ass.
* CoolBigSis: She shows shades of this from Victoria's point of view, and when Airrazor vanishes along with Tigatron, Victoria feels as though a major part of the team has gone with her.
* DroppedABridgeOnHer: Her abduction. She gets better [[TwoBeingsOneBody with Tigatron, though]].
* FragileSpeedster: She was the fastest flyer in the Beast Wars, but any attack that managed to hit her would take her out of the fight quickly.
* HighSpeedMissileDodge: Does this from time to time.
* NobleBirdOfPrey: She's a maximal whose Beast Form is a falcon.
* OfficialCouple: With Tigatron.

!!Grimlock

Grimlock came out of one of the last stasis pods to be found active. He scanned the fossil of a Tyrannosaurus Rex to make his Beast Form. Throughout his debut episode, his Beast Form took over, and it took Victoria talking to him to get him to realize who he was. Like his namesake, he has a bit of a speech impediment, but he's not TheBrute or DumbMuscle; he's fairly intelligent, it just doesn't seem like it. His attitude is that of a big kid -- someone who just wants to have a good time with his friends and not hurt anyone unless they absolutely deserve it.

Tropes that apply to Grimlock:

* AutoCannibalism: He eats Terrorsaur at the end of Season One.
* BerserkButton: Harming his friends is a good way to push it. Harming a child is a good way to get yourself killed.
* BigDamnHeroes: Has a tendency to come out of nowhere to save the day, though he's usually preceded by his footfalls.
* BigFun: He can be when not in battle.
* TheBigGuy: Easily the largest of the Maximals, and until Optimus got his second upgrade, was the only one who could stand toe to toe with Galvatron and actually win.
* CatchPhrase: His roar could count as one.
--> Me Grimlock kick butt!
* CurbStompBattle: Galvatron ended up on the receiving end of one. And it was GLORIOUS!
* DinosaursAreDragons: A time traveling knight and some local townsfolk mistake Grimlock for a dragon. Understandable, considering that only a small handful of people knew what a dinosaur was and Tyrannosaurus wouldn't be classified for at least another forty years.
* {{Expy}}: Of the original Generation 1 Grimlock, but with a slightly different personality.
* FriendToAllChildren: Grimlock has a real soft spot for kids. If a child is in danger, Grimlock rushes to the rescue and if a Predacon is harassing said child, well, sucks to be that Predacon.
* GentleGiant: The largest character, a Tyrannosaurus Rex....And a big softy.
* GiantFootOfStomping: Quickstrike gets hit with this, twice. The second time is fatal.
* HowDoIShotWeb: He has trouble controlling his Beast Form during his debut.
* IAmAHumanitarian: It's heavily implied that the first thing he did when coming online was killing and eating two Union soldiers and their horses.
* JustEatHim: He does to Terrorsaur.
* MightyRoar: Pretty synonymous with him.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: It was enough to scare even GALVATRON.
* YouNoTakeCandle: Speaks like a stereotypical caveman just like his namesake, though here it can be attributed to a glitch in his stasis pod.

!!Tigatron

One of the earliest Maximals to join back in the original series, Tigatron has taken on the Beast Form of a white tiger. He's kind and strong, noble and trustworthy, though it seems that the death of Snowstalker back in the original series hasn't affected him as much as it used to, as he openly flirts with any woman he sees -- though just complimenting their beauty; that's it -- much to Airrazor's ire. He, along with Airrazor, are abducted by the spirits during the halfway point of Season Two and after a while, the other Maximals believe them to be dead, until they come back fused as Tigerhawk partway through Season Three.

Tropes that apply to Tigatron:

* BerserkButton: Harming an innocent or allowing yourself to become twisted to the dark ways is enough to push it.
* BigBrotherMentor: To Cheetor. He still refers to Tigatron as "Big Cat", even after Tigatron and Airrazor come back as Tigerhawk.
* ChivalrousPervert: Much to Airrazor's ire.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: His abduction. He gets better [[TwoBeingsOneBody with Airazor]], though.
* IWorkAlone: He SAYS he works alone, but he would much rather have the company of one of his friends in case things go sour.
* MartialPacifist: Does not like fighting, since it causes a lot of collatoral damage to innocents.
* NatureHero: He identifies far more with his beast form than his robot heritage.
* OfficialCouple: With Airazor.
%%* PantheraAwesome
* RecurringCharacter: He's rarely in contact with the main Maximal group. It could be because he's off on patrol somewhere else.
%%* WarriorPoet
* WideEyedIdealist: Though not as much as he used to, he admits on at least one occasion that he would rather resolve conflict without the need for a battle.

!!Stinkbomb

The youngest Maximal, he's taken on the Beast Form of a skunk. He was online for quite some time before he met the other Maximals, having met and started a relationship with a real skunk he named Angelika. He joined the Maximals when Angelika was killed by Blackarachnia and Rampage in their search for Energon. He never really did get his revenge, but after a while, he stopped worrying about that, seeing how Cheetor's quest for revenge nearly destroyed him from the inside. Also, he has a German accent and sometimes peppers his vocabulary with German.

Tropes that apply to Stinkbomb:

* ADayInTheLimelight: His debut episodes and the second episode of Season Two are perhaps the only times he gets any real focus.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Part of the reason he officially joins the Maximals is because Victoria and Dinobot at least tried to help him get back at Blackarachnia and Rampage.
* BerserkButton: It used to be Blackarachnia and Rampage taunting him about Angelika. He eventually let it go.
* DeadpanSnarker: He can be at times, especially if he drops a line in German.
* DemotedToExtra: He eventually becomes this after getting less and less focus, only having the occasional appearance and line here and there.
* {{Expy}}: He was originally going to be a German version of Shippo.
* FantasticRacism: He drops hints of it during one of his first conversations with Dinobot, hinting that he despises all Predacons, not just Blackarachnia and Rampage.
* {{Fartillery}}: Kind of, by way of his stink spray.
* GratuitousGerman: Speaks with a German accent and sometimes peppers his vocabulary with German words or phrases.
* NothingIsTheSameAnymore: Averted; he becomes adapted to Maximal life fairly quickly.

!!Depth Charge

Once, Depth Charge was a sane and balanced Maximal. Then Rampage slaughtered Colony Omicron, where Depth Charge was chief security officer. The guilt-ridden DC spent four years hunting Rampage down, during which time Rampage managed to twist the knife even deeper by ''eating'' DC's friends at Starbase Rugby. When Rampage was apprehended, Charge demanded the Maximal council find a way to destroy his spark and was disgusted when they turned Rampage over to Primal's crew instead.

He was unsurprised when Primal "screwed it up" by going after Megatron's ship, and set off in pursuit. Some kind of residual transwarp energy brought him to Earth, where he took the form of a manta ray and resumed his hunt of Rampage, who was delighted to see his old "playmate" again.

* ArchEnemy: Rampage. Its implied that this was Rampage's intention.
%%* DeadpanSnarker
* {{Determinator}}: He's out to kill someone presumed to be immortal. He's spent the past 80,000 years hunting Rampage before tracking him to Earth.
* DoomedHometown: Colony Omicron, which was destroyed by Rampage.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: His first line establishes him as someone that doesn't respect rules or authority, and with good reason to.
-->'''Depth Charge''': Slag the high council.
* {{Expy}}: While he's still the same character as before, he was written with Sesshomaru from Inuyasha in mind.
* FallenHero: According to Optimus, Depth Charge was once a model Maximal before Rampage's massacre of Omicron reduced him to a grim hunter.
* GoodIsNotNice: Though obsessed with Rampage, his better nature will eventually force him to aid the other Maximals when the time comes. He'll still be a Jerkass about it.
* IneffectualLoner: His sights are firmly on Rampage and whatever other goals the Maximals have mean little to him. As such, he's not too popular with his teammates and is usually on his own. Unless you count Cybershark, Nani, and Thunderbeast.
%%* JerkWithAHeartOfGold
* MoralityChain: Has this in the form of Cybershark and Nani.
* PreMortemOneLiner: When he kills Rampage
-->'''Depth Charge''': Raw Energon, X! Right through your twisted spark! Take it! Take it straight to hell, you SICKENING PIECE OF SLAG!
* RevengeBeforeReason: Rampage intentionally invoked this by slagging everyone near and dear to him. Revenge is literally all Depth Charge has left.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: His crusade against Rampage.
* TakingYouWithMe: He impales Rampage's spark with a blade of raw Energon, knowing that it is the only way to destroy his enemy and that it will kill him as well. Then again, that was the plan all along.

!!Cybershark

Cybershark, as his name suggests, transforms into a shark -- a mako shark, in this case. He's incredibly faithful to Depth Charge and is probably the only Maximal Depth Charge trusts. Like Depth Charge, he was a survivor of one of Rampage's attacks and has followed Depth Charge in their hunt for Rampage. After they rescue Nani from a burning covered wagon, he essentially becomes her babysitter, much to his ire. Even so, he'll willingly protect her if he can.

Tropes that apply to Cybershark:

* BerserkButton: Threatening Nani or questioning Depth Charge's decisions is a good way to push it.
* BigBrotherInstinct: He develops this when it comes to Nani.
* CoolBigSis: Nani sure thinks so.
* {{Determinator}}: He's been with Depth Charge for 80,000 years and goes out of his way to protect Nani from Predacons who are even more powerful than he is.
* {{Expy}}: Of Jaken, seeing how Depth Charge is an expy of Sesshomaru.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He can come off as rude at times, but his Spark is always in the right place.
* SitcomArchNemesis: With Nani's horse, Thunderbeast. Oddly enough, he seems to understand Thunderbeast despite the fact that Thunderbeast just neighs and whinnies. Either way, he's always arguing with Thunderbeast about something.
* ThreateningShark: He's far from threatening, but he's no coward, either.
* UndyingLoyalty: To his commander.

!!Tigerhawk

After Tigatron and Airrazor were taken by the spirits, their bodies and minds were combined to form a new Fuzor. Tigerhawk was sent to the physical plane with a Time Stone to give to the Maximals, while at the same time preventing the Predacons from gathering the last Time Stone. The time he spent in the Spirit World did a number on his memory, though he slowly regained some of his memories as time went on. Too bad he was killed by Galvatron during the final battle.

Tropes that apply to Tigerhawk include:

%%* BlowYouAway
%%* DishingOutDirt
%%* EleventhHourRanger
* HeroicSacrifice He sacrificed himself to stop Galvatron in the GrandFinale.
%%* KilledOffForReal
* MergerOfSouls: Courtesy of the spirits as payment for freeing Silver Fox from the curse of the Wendigo.
%%* MixAndMatchCritters
* OneManArmy: He takes on ALL the Predacons and beats them easily. Even Galvatron was left shaking.
%%* ShockAndAwe
* SophisticatedAsHell: He never uses contractions, but isn't afraid to use the Cybertronian euphanisms.
* TwoBeingsOneBody: A fusion of Airazor and Tigatron. Thank the spirits for that.
* WalkingSpoiler: His presence most likely hints at what becomes of Tigatron and Airazor. In fact, there are times where he even remembers some of the events of his past lives.
* YouShallNotPass: He dies keeping Galvatron from attacking Victoria's friends during the final battle.

!!Bantor

Bantor was one of the other two Fuzors on the Maximal team a hundred years ago. His Beast Form was a mix of a mandrill and a tiger. He was close friends with Cheetor and Air Hammer despite their differing personalities – Cheetor was young and hyperactive, Air Hammer was a surfer dude, and Bantor was more calm and in tune with nature. According to Rattrap, he and Air Hammer were killed by the Predacons when they had their molecules torn apart, though they still contact the other Maximals from the Spirit World from time to time.

Tropes that apply to Bantor include:

* ADayInTheLimelight: The first two episodes of Season Three could count for both him and Air Hammer as they have much larger roles there than at any other point in the series.
* BigDamnHeroes: He, along with Air Hammer, show up to save Victoria while in the Labyrinth.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: He and Air Hammer had their molecules torn apart a long time ago. Hurts just thinking about it.
* DueToTheDead: He helps Cheetor and Victoria from beyond the grave a few times.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: He has this mentality, being at one with nature and naturally not a violent Maximal.
* MixAndMatchCritters: A cross between a mandrill and a tiger.
* PantheraAwesome: Well, he IS part tiger, after all.
* PosthumousCharacter: The first time we hear about him, he’s been dead for a hundred years.

!!Air Hammer

Air Hammer was one of two other Fuzors on the Maximal team a hundred years ago. His Beast Form was a mix of a red tailed hawk and a hammerhead shark. Like Bantor, he was one of Cheetor’s best friends before he was killed. Unlike Bantor, he was more outgoing, and spoke like a surfer dude. Like Bantor, he sometimes aids Cheetor from beyond the grave.

Tropes that apply to Air Hammer include:

* BigDamnHeroes: He, along with Bantor, show up to save Victoria while in the Labyrinth.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: He and Bantor had their molecules torn apart a long time ago. Hurts just thinking about it.
* DueToTheDead: He helps Cheetor and Victoria from beyond the grave a few times.
* {{Expy}}: He was written with WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall's 90’s Kid in mind.
* MixAndMatchCritters: Part red tailed hawk, part hammerhead shark.
* PosthumousCharacter: The first time we hear about him, he’s been dead for a hundred years.
* SurferDude: The way he talks, he gives that vibe.
* ThreateningShark: He’s part hammerhead shark, though he’s far from threatening.
* VerbalTic: He has a habit of ending all of his sentences with “dude”. Unless he’s talking to a female character, in which case he’ll say “babe”.

!!Cyberbee

Cyberbee used to be a Predacon drone, until he was reprogrammed by Rhinox. His main function is to act as a scout of sorts and provide information on the Predacons, though most of the time, he’d be much happier staying out of trouble. As the series goes on, his role diminishes to just a few cameo appearances. WordOfGod is that he’s now off doing bee things.

Tropes that apply to Cyberbee include:

* BeeAfraid: You’re kidding. You’re kidding, right?
* ButtMonkey: Usually ends up getting swatted or squashed by one of the Maximals, either Cheetor or Dinobot. Victoria also tends to flick him away when he gets too annoying.
* DemotedToExtra: He gets it the worst, having maybe two appearances during the final part of the series.
* ExpoSpeak: His main purpose is to provide new information on the Predacons, if there’s any to be given.
* {{Expy}}: Of Myoga.
* RunningGag: He always gets swatted, smacked, or squashed in a majority of his scenes.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Predacons]]

!!Megatron

The leader of the Predacons, named for the Decepticon overlord. His Beast Form is a large salt water crocodile. If he can avoid it, he'd rather not get his hands dirty, instead sending his troops out to do the fighting while he remains safe back at Predacon Base. His rivalry with Optimus is legendary, though the other Maximals have a bone or two to pick with him as well. 80,000 years ago, he stole the Golden Disk and traveled to Earth with the Maximals in hot pursuit because the Disk was a map to a large Energon source. He continued to gather Energon even after Dinobot stole the Disk, though he never stopped looking for it.

* {{Archenemy}}: To Optimus Primal, though he has shades of this with all the other Maximals as well.
* BadBoss: Even more so than the other guys with his name. ''All'' of his few troops are expendable for him. Besides that, he'll berate, smack, and -- as Scorponock found out at the end of Season One -- kill his own subordinates on a regular basis. Even his most loyal troops aren't immune, though not like they care.
* BigBad: Duh.
* BigNo: Usually uttered when his plans fall apart, which is often.
* CatchPhrase: His long, drawn-out "Yesss" and "Nooo" at the end of a good chunk of his sentences.
* ControlFreak: Megatron doesn't trust anyone except himself (which, given the general back-stabbing that goes on in his ranks, is probably wise). His sanity starts to slip when he's not in control or when things don't go quite as well as he had planned.
* DeadpanSnarker: A particularly nasty, arrogant version.
* DiabolicalMastermind: Megatron's operation may be small, but there's no doubt that he's a criminal mastermind. More than once he's even referred to as a terrorist.
* EmbarrassingNickname: Inferno calls him his "Queen", which frustrates him on numerous occasions. Eventually, Inferno switches to the less embarrassing "Royalty".
* EnemyMine: The Predacons team up with the Maximals in the first movie after Magmatron destroys the Predacon base.
* EvilCounterpart: To Optimus.
* EvilGloating: Megatron likes to make sure his enemies know they've been beaten. This bites him in the ass more than once (he tries to "make the Maximals suffer" in the flashback in the first episode, which gives them the opportunity to shoot them down too and thus start the Beast Wars, and later on in the second episode gloats about how Victoria is just bait to lure the Maximals to their demise, giving her time to come up with an escape plan).
* EvilIsHammy: Downplayed, but the reader can still imagine him hamming it up.
* EvilKnockoff: As Megatron, he only tried this once with Dinobot. The real Dinobot ate it.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Well the role WAS originally written with the late Michael Clarke Duncan in mind, but after he passed away, the role was instead written with Jim Cummings's voice in mind.
* {{Expy}}: For Megatron (duh). He was also written with some hints of [[Manga/{{Inuyasha}} Naraku]].
* FantasticRacism: Towards the Maximals for the most part, and he especially hates humans -- one particular human in general.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Just like his original counterpart, this Megatron's veneer of politeness does practically nothing to change the fact that he's a remorseless sociopath with an ego the size of Cybertron itself. The only difference is that Megatron here has ''none'' of his canon counterpart's charisma, making it exceedingly clear that he has nothing but malicious hatred towards anyone and everyone in his path.
* GeniusBruiser: He's intelligent and knows how to bring the pain.
* HiddenAgendaVillain: We dont' find out until after his upgrade that gathering Energon is merely a ruse; he's been looking for the Golden Disk ever since Dinobot stole it.
* ItsAllAboutMe: The only thing that matters to Megatron is Megatron. Even his most loyal subjects (Inferno and Scarem) realize this, but they're simply too loyal to care.
* JetPack: Not just a pack; his [=TransMetal=] form allows him to turn into a small jet.
* '''''LargeHam''''': He wouldn't be Megatron otherwise.
* LargeAndInCharge: Generally played straight with him. It helps he's taken on the Beast Form of the largest reptile on Earth.
* LegacyCharacter: He's a descendant of the original Megatron.
* LookWhatICanDoNow: He adjusts to his new [=TransMetal=] body much faster than any other Maximal or Predacon save for Optimus.
* NearVillainVictory: Several times. For all of his intelligence and chessmastering, he just can't secure a definitive victory for himself. A good example is when he nearly takes over the Maximal base with his Dinobot clone and before then, with the help of a Starscream-possessed Waspinator. Both times end in failure for one reason or another.
* OneManArmy: He can take on all the Maximals by himself without breaking a sweat and was so feared by the Tripredacus Council, they sent a bounty hunter after him.
* RankScalesWithAsskicking: He could maul his troops if he felt like it. According to the [[AllThereInTheManual Manual]], this is how Predacon leadership works. They value successful betrayals, believing that if the leader could not fend off the treachery, they obviously were not fit to lead.
* SheIsTheKing: [[InvertedTrope Inverted]]. Megatron is called a "Queen" by Inferno, which he finds mildly annoying. Inferno also uses the more gender-neutral term "Royalty", which doesn't bother Megatron so much.
* TheSociopath: Megatron is self-centered, self-important, cruel, manipulative, has no respect for any authority apart from his own, has no empathy, and majorly narcissistic.
* TheUnfettered: No one and no thing is safe from him, regardless of age or species.
* VerbalTic: A long drawn-out "Yeeeess..." or "Noooo...".
* WeHaveReserves: He seems to value his troops' lives slightly less than a normal person does pocket lint and would probably kill them all in a second if they proved to be no longer useful. An impressive feat, since at no time does he have more than a handful or so Predacons, even if some are MadeOfIron and being blown to bits is more of an inconvenience than anything else.
* WouldHurtAChild: No matter the age.

!!Galvatron

After he got his ass handed to him by Optimus at the start of the second movie, Tarantulas left Megatron for dead. What Tarantulas didn't account for was Megatron being dumped right next to an Energon deposit, which altered his body, making him larger and giving him a new form -- a dragon -- and a new name: Galvatron. While Megatron was FauxAffablyEvil, Galvatron is borderline psychotically evil to the point where even his own troops wonder if he's all there. With this new form, his master plan changes to rewriting history so that the Decepticons win the Great War, thus making it so that the Predacons rule the galaxy. He doesn't care how he does this; he'll change reality itself if that's what it takes.

Tropes that apply to Galvatron include:

* BadassBoast: Where to begin?
--> '''Galvatron''': Megatron? Megatron is dead. You saw to that yourself, Tarantulas. I have a new name now. You should learn it before you die. I am Galvatron.
--> '''Galvatron''': Say goodbye to the universe, Maximals, yess. The Autobots lose. Darkness triumphs. And you NO LONGER EXIST!
--> '''Galvatron''': Maximals! Behold the object of your final destruction! And behold the one who will bring it upon you! I am the dominator! I am the destroyer! I am the alpha and the omega! And with this final Time Stone, I have become death, destroyer of worlds.
* BadBoss: Even worse than before. Before, he would just give his troops a tongue-lashing and only torture and/or kill them if they deserved it, but now? He'll gleefully torture his own troops for the pettiest of reasons and will kill them without a second thought.
* BlackEyesOfEvil: His eyes are described as being black and demonic.
* BreathWeapon: He's a dragon. He breathes fire.
* CatchPhrase: He still has that long, drawn-out "Yess" and "Noo" from before.
* EnemyMine: Again with the Maximals, this time against the Panther King.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: He says so after the Panther King eats Furra and Panshera.
--> '''Galvatron''': Even by '''my''' standards, that is cruel, yess.
* EvilSoundsDeep: See the Megatron entry.
* EyeScream: Considering that in his Beast Form, the eyes are his only weak point, Victoria constantly shoots him there. Optimus at one point jams a light post into his eye as well.
--> '''Galvatron''': What is it with you and the human always going for the eye!
* AGodAmI: He certainly believes so.
* ItsAllAboutMe: He wants to reshape reality into his own image.
* KilledOffForReal: Victoria shoots him in the head, knocking him into a time rift that shreds him.
* LargeAndInCharge: The largest of the Predacons, dwarfing even Rampage. Until Optimus gets his second upgrade, the only Maximal who can stand up to him is Grimlock.
* LookWhatICanDoNow: His first real outing just seems to be so he can show off to the Maximals. The fact that he manages to temporarily kill Optimus is an added bonus for him.
* NearVillainVictory: Comes dangerously close to achieving his goals of destroying and rewriting reality.
* NoSell: Unless your name is Optimal Optimus Primal or Grimlock, the only way he can be hurt is a lucky arrow to the eye.
* PlayingWithFire: In conjunction with BreathWeapon -- he breathes fire. What else would you expect from a dragon?
* RankScalesWithAsskicking: He quickly demonstrates this by killing Tarantulas. Even Rampage backs down after seeing this.
* TheSociopath: Even more so then when he was Megatron. Dinobot and Blackarachnia both call him out on his insane ambitions.
--> '''Dinobot:''' Galvatron, your insane ambitions will destroy us all.
--> '''Blackarachnia:''' What did you expect, you tin terrorist? That I would die for your insane ambitions?
* VerbalTic: Still has that long drawn-out "Yess" and "Noo" quirk from before.
* VillainSong: The last villain you'd expect to have one, and yet he does in the final episode, even singing parts of it while beating Optimus up.
* WeHaveReserves: Actually, he could care less if all of his troops are killed off, as long as he is the victor.

!!Scorponok

Scorponok was the original second-in-command of the Predacons. He was the only Pred at the start to display full loyalty to Megatron, which in Megatron's eyes made up for his lack of real intelligence. His undying loyalty to Megatron meant that he would clash with the more traitorous members of the group and develop a serious rivalry with Inferno and Scarem for Megatron's favor.

* ButtMonkey: Part of the package when you're one of [[BadBoss Megatron's]] most loyal followers and you're teammates are not-so subordinate.
* TheDragon: In defiance of typical Transformers dragons, he is utterly loyal to Megatron. He also has some elements of TheBrute.
* GadgeteerGenius: He developed the Transwarp Doorway originally as a means to kill Victoria so they wouldn't have to worry about this added asset to the Maximals. Turns out it indeed acts as a doorway between the two worlds.
* [[HeroicSacrifice Villainous Sacrifice]]: Performs one at the end of Season One to save Victoria from Galvatron. His reason? He's tired of watching children die during this war.
* KilledOffForReal: Performs a villainous sacrifice to save Victoria from Megatron. Even the Maximals feel sorry that he had to die to do it.
%%* NumberTwo: One of many to Megatron.
%%* ScaryScorpions: He doesn't manage to be too much of a threat, though.
* UndyingLoyalty: His loyalty was his only consistent personality trait. Until the end of the first season.
%%* YesMan: Towards Megatron.

!!Tarantulas

As his name would suggest, Tarantulas has taken on the Beast Form of a large spider, though not exactly a tarantula. While he's said to be an evil genius, he doesn't always act the part, preferring instead to look for a subtle way to usurp leadership of the Predacons from Megatron -- which, in the second movie, comes back to bit him in the ass, HARD. At the end of the second season, it's revealed that he was an agent for the Predacon Secret Police, though at that point he's been dead for quite a while.

%%* ArachnidAppearanceAndAttire: Well, he ''is'' a spider, after all.
%%* BigCreepyCrawlys: A spider, natch.
%%* CardCarryingVillain: He took great pride in his evil ways.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: He only practices this once, and Galvatron would have praised him before killing him if he hadn't totally botched it up.
--> Treachery requires no mistakes, Tarantulas.
%%* TheDragon: Was one to the Tripredacus Council. Until Galvatron killed him.
%%* EvilCounterpart: To Rattrap, especially after his upgrade to a [=TransMetal=].
%%* EvilGenius: Mad as a hatter though he may be, Tarantulas is a genius.
* EvilLaugh: A distinctive, and rather creepy, cackle that he's very fond of.
* ForTheEvulz: The reason for his [[ImAHumanitarian dining habits]]. He doesn't actually ''need'' to eat, he just enjoys the suffering he inflicts on his prey as he slowly kills them.
%%* GiantSpider: His beast mode.
* GigglingVillain: Tarantulas ''loves'' to laugh. [[{{Sadist}} It's rarely because of anything funny]].
* IAmAHumanitarian: When he first shows up, he makes it very clear that he intends to eat Victoria, and probably would have if Megatron hadn't stopped him.
* InsufferableGenius: Nobody likes or trusts Tarantulus, but his scientific knowledge makes him invaluable.
* KilledOffForReal: In the second movie, courtesy of a newly revived Galvatron.
* MacrossMissileMassacre: His Transmetal form has at least four missile launchers in his shoulders, which he tends to fire all at once.
%%* MadScientist: Downplayed, but shades of it are still there at times.
* MechaMooks: He has little spider drones. He doesn't always use them.
* TheMole: It's revealed that he was a member of the Predacon Secret Police. Of course, by the time we learn this, he's been dead for a while.
* MoreDakka: Pre-Transmetal, his spider legs acted as machine guns in robot mode. This function moved to his shoulder-wheels after that.
* NightmareFuelStationAttendant: Not only is Tarantulas one of the creepiest, scariest characters in the series, he's fully aware of and revels in it to boot.
* OhCrap: When Galvatron first shows up and speaks in Megatron's voice (Tarantulas didn't know he had a new name at this point), he's left a stuttering mess who can't do anything to defend himself. Not that there was much he could do against a giant angry dragon.
* {{Sadist}}: It's implied that he kills and eats his victims simply for the pleasure of it.
* TheStarscream: While not as bad as before, he still has shades of this. When Megatron is severely wounded during a battle with the Maximals at the start of the second movie, Tarantulas leaves him for dead and tries to take his place. This comes back to bite him in the form of Galvatron.
* VillainSong: Mockingly sings "Itsy Bitsy Spider" when he first appears.

!!Terrorsaur

He's got the Beast Form of a pteranodon. Terrorsaur is one of the Predacons' main aerial assets during the first season. Like Starscream before him, he plots to overthrow Megatron, but gradually realizes he's in over his head and ''far'' from Megatron's greatest concern. By that, we mean that he tries once and never again. How does he meet his demise? By getting eaten by Grimlock.

* BigBadWannabe: He tries once or twice to replace Megatron as leader of the Predacons. Things don't work in his favor, so he gives up.
* ButtMonkey: He initially rivaled ''Waspinator'' in being blown to pieces. Unlike the former, he at least managed to remain a genuine threat, if only due to having [[WalkingArmory one of the biggest arsenals]] in series.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: More like a GiantFootOfStomping followed by getting swallowed.
%%* EatenAlive: By Grimlock.
* {{Expy}}: Of ''[[WesternAnimation/TheTransformers G1]]'' Starscream. Though whereas Starscream was ''G1'' Megatron's second-in-command, Terrorsaur is this version's of Megatron's lieutenant at best. On the upside, Terrorsaur at least realized that the whole 'treachery' thing wasn't working and stopped.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He tries to take Victoria's Energon crystals so he could usurp leadership of the Predacons from Megatron. He returns empty handed and according to WordOfGod, got a pretty nasty beating for it.
* KilledOffForReal: Eaten by Grimlock.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Red eyes, and he's a nasty piece of work.
* SmugSnake: He actually thinks he can overthrow Megatron. To his credit, Terrorsaur gets over one of the biggest weaknesses of a SmugSnake, and eventually works out that he can't beat Megatron and just gives up his ambitions.
* TheStarscream: He almost sounds like him too. Ironically, it was Waspinator who was possessed by Starscream's ghost.
* TookALevelInBadass: Well, he tried to take one, anyway, and Megatron let him just to see how badly Terrorsaur screwed it up.
* WalkingArmory: His armament consists of two shoulder cannons, a pistol and a rifle, though he doesn't use them all at once.

!!Waspinator

As his name suggests, he's got the Beast Form of a wasp. Despite the fact that he transforms into one of the meanest insects on Earth, Waspinator is far from mean. In fact, he hates being a Predacon. The problem is, he's a wimp who is almost always targeted first during a fight. He spends most of his time lamenting his place in the Predacons until near the end when an encounter with a young boy stricken with blindness teaches him to value life, starting his HeelFaceTurn to the Maximals.

* AffablyEvil: He doesn't even like being a Predacon, but it takes until the end of the series, after a confidence boost, for him to say so.
* AmusingInjuries: ''Constantly''.
* ButtMonkey: He is by '''far''' the biggest example. From the 'con himself:
-->'''Waspinator''': "Why universe hate Waspinator?"
* CantCatchUp: Once the [=TransMetals and TransMetal-Twos=] started popping up, he found himself obsolete pretty quickly.
* TheChewToy: Pretty much from the very start.
* CosmicPlaything: The universe just flat-out hates Waspinator, and the poor guy knows it.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Bad things tend to happen to him, and he's usually the first one to get targeted in a fight, but he has decent aim and has managed to hold his own against a big brawny human and come out on top.
* {{Determinator}}: Not just in his name- it takes a special kind of determination to keep going when the universe seems to have it out for you, but Waspinator is one determined 'bot. It doesn't matter if he gets blown up or is getting the snot beat out of him, he'll get right back up again.
* TheDitz: Not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. His eccentric manner of speech doesn't help.
* GlassCannon: Despite his ButtMonkey status, Waspinator has a pretty high hit rate. He just gets blown up before he gets the chance to fire.
* GrandTheftMe: He got hijacked by the spark of G1 Starscream in one episode/chapter, titled "Ghost in the Machine".
* HeelFaceTurn: Defects to the Maximals near the end of the series after an encounter with a young boy stricken with blindness. As he says:
--> '''Waspinator''': [[PunctuatedForEmphasis I. Said. NO!]] Dragon-Bot may command Cow-Bot and Two-Head, but Dragon-Bot not command Waspinator anymore! Waspinator sick of being evil, sick of being Predacon, sick of killing! Waspinator especially sick of BEING BLOWN TO SCRAP ALL THE TIME! So, Waspinator quits! As of right now, which means that Cow-Bot and Two-Head can go ahead and --
** He doesn't get to finish. Lampshaded, too:
--> '''Waspinator''': Waspinator saw that coming.
* HeroicSacrifice: Gives his life to try to stop the Predacons from using the Time Stones. It was this moment that caused Victoria to actually call him a friend.
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: Became this near the end.
** That's just for this story. That's not even getting into the fandom of the original series, where he's one of the most beloved characters.
* KilledOffForReal: See HeroicSacrifice.
* LosingYourHead: He gets blown into pieces, regularly.
* TheNicknamer: Except for Megatron and Optimus, all the other characters have nicknames from him such as "ant-bot" (Inferno) and "two-face" (Quickstrike). "cow-bot" (Bonecrusher), "dragon-bot" (Galvatron), "spider-bot" (Tarantulas and later Blackarachnia), and "fleshy-bot" (Victoria).
* RunningGag: He's blown apart nearly once an episode.
* StuffBlowingUp: He gets blown to bits in nearly every episode regardless.
* TakeThisJobAndShoveIt: In one of the final episodes after his encounter with Seth, the blind boy who taught him the value of life.
* TookALevelInBadass: Happened near the end of the series, but at least he got a confidence boost he had been looking for.
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: In any given episode, he's likely to be blown to bits.
* ThirdPersonPerson: [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness You know something's amiss]] when he ''doesn't'' do this.
--> ''"I said NO!!!"''
* ThrowTheDogABone: He manages to hold his own against a pit fighter near the end of the series while protecting a blind boy and his father. Safe to say, he definitely TookALevelInBadass at that point.
* YankTheDogsChain: He joins the Maximals because he wants to be a good guy. It doesn't end well as Galvatron soon kills him.

!!Blackarachnia

A black widow spider. Describing herself as hot, poisonous, and deadly, she knows how to use her feminine charm to get what she wants, usually from Silverbolt. She also knows how to kick your ass and lets you know it. A carry over from the original series is her relationship with Silverbolt, which leads her to betraying Galvatron at the end of the second season, and it leads to her death.

* ArachnidAppearanceAndAttire: Which makes sense, considering that she ''is'' a spider.
* BadassBookworm: She's cooked up more than a few nifty gadgets, she's well rounded in Cybertronian history, she's a serious player in the intrigue game, and despite her minimalistic physique, will kick your ass in hand-to-hand combat with her mad ninja skills.
* BastardUnderstudy: Starscream!Waspinator takes her under his wing to teach her how to be the most treacherous, backstabbing megalomaniac she can -- and is shocked when she takes his lessons to heart.
-->'''Starscream:''' ''(loudly)'' "You betrayed me!"
-->'''Blackarachnia:''' "I studied with the master!"
* BattleCouple: With Silverbolt during the Season Two finale.
* BlackEyesOfEvil: She has them.
* CardCarryingVillain: She spends much of the second season finale repeatedly telling Silverbolt that she's evil, bad, evil, not to be trusted, and evil, though her warnings fall upon deaf/noble ears:
-->'''Silverbolt:''' Blackarachnia, I want you to return with me. Return to the Maximals.
-->'''Blackarachnia:''' How many times to I have to tell you before it sinks into that thick cranial module of yours? I'm a Predacon! A harbinger of darkness, remember? And I WILL shoot you again.
-->'''Silverbolt:''' My heart tell me that you will not.
-->'''Blackarachnia:''' That right?
-->'''Silverbolt:''' Yes, it is.
-->'''Blackarachnia:''' Suit yourself. *shoots him*
--> '''Silverbolt''' Ow! You -- I can't believe you actually shot me!
--> '''Blackarachnia''' No scrap I'm one of the bad guys. Get the picture now?
-->'''Silverbolt:''' And yet...you ensured the wound would not be mortal. Your inner Maximal goodness
-->'''Blackarachnia:''' SHUT UP, SHUT UP, [[BigShutUp SHUT THE FRAK UP!]]!!!
* CurbStompBattle: Delivers a rather brutal one to Victoria during their fight after Dinobot's death.
* DarkActionGirl: She can hold her own with any of the male characters, and put her in a one-on-one fight with Victoria, the two will be evenly matched.
* DeadpanSnarker: Especially towards Silverbolt.
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: She dies as Silverbolt holds her after she gets torched by Galvatron.
* DisneyDeath: Averted. She stays dead.
* DudeMagnet: Mainly Silverbolt, though there is some flirting between her and Quickstrike.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: She gets increasingly frustrated at Silverbolt's attempts to get her to change sides. She even shoots him for his troubles, though it's in a non-fatal area.
* FemmeFatale: Very much so, per the norm.
* GadgeteerGenius: Blackarachnia is very intelligent.
* GiantSpider: Her beast mode.
* HeelFaceTurn: Her dying words have her renouncing the Predacons for Silverbolt.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: The Tiny Girl to Silverbolt's Huge Guy.
* KickChick: If she's not firing her machine guns or her Cyber Venom, she's kicking someone.
* KilledOffForReal: Courtesy of Galvatron.
* LoveRedeems: It had a fight on its hands, but it eventually won. And then it gets her killed.
* ManipulativeBitch: She's perfectly fine with playing on Silverbolt's feelings for her own reasons [[BecomingTheMask until she develops such feelings herself]].
* MoreDakka: Her spider legs acted as machine guns in robot mode.
* MsFixit: She's as skilled an engineer as she is a warrior.
* OfficialCouple: With Silverbolt.
* PoisonousPerson: She tends to shoot people with cybervenom when she isn't using her machine guns.
* RedemptionEqualsDeath: She helps the Maximals save Optimus Prime and by extension, all of reality. Galvatron kills her for her troubles.
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: Again, she ends up with [[KnightInShiningArmor Silverbolt]], it takes him some time to get her to drop her emotional guard, but his nobility hits a soft spot with her. Makes sense, when you consider that 1) She was originally a Maximal protoform and 2) She's been surrounded by nothing more than selfish psychopaths and is probably tired of it all.

!!Inferno

He's a fire ant. Like Scarem and Scorponock, he's one of the most loyal Predacons to Megatron/Galvatron. His favored weapon is a flamethrower. He's not afraid to sacrifice himself for his Royalty, and on more than one occasion he almost does.

* BadassBoast: All his proclamations of "For the Royalty!" and "Glory to the Colony!"
* BattleButler: For Megatron/Galvatron.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: His beast mode is a fire ant.
* CatchPhrase: Spouted off quite a few of his own, but the most iconic is probably:
-->''"[[BattleButler "For the Royalty!"]]"''
* TheChewToy: Not as bad as Waspinator. He still gets smacked around and blown up, sometimes by his own hands, and unlike Waspinator, sometimes it seems like he enjoys it.
* CloudCuckooLander: Thanks to his "Beast Form dominating his logic circuits."
* CoDragons: He is essentially this with Scorponok for much of the first season. He's the muscle, Scorponok's the NumberTwo. Later, he shares this role with Scarem and while the two sometimes butt heads over who should get Galvatron's praise, they work more together as BashBrothers.
* CombatSadomasochist: Pain is more likely to elicit laughing fits from him than hesitation.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Despite being mostly crazed up and LaughablyEvil, he's one of the most competent and dangerous Predacons. This plus his UndyingLoyalty earns a strange kind of respect from Megatron/Galvatron, who generally gives him command of most situations he isn't present for.
* {{Determinator}}: ''Nothing'' stops him from carrying out his master's orders short of catastrophic damage -- sometimes not even then.
* TheDragon: To Megatron, and later Galvatron. Inferno may be insane and his devotion to his "queen" is hilarious, but his loyalty is unwavering and he's lethal in combat. Like Scorponok and Scarem, he averts TheStarscream aspect often used alongside this trope.
* EliteMook: After the Transmetalisation of several other characters, he still manages to be pretty much ''the'' most trusted (and one of the most badass) soldiers Megatron/Galvatron has.
* EnemyMine: Not only the fact that the Predacons team up with the Maximals to stop Magmatron, he and Victoria have to work together to survive being stranded on a mountain.
* EvilCounterpart: To Tigatron. Tigatron used to use ice, Inferno uses fire.
* EvilIsBurningHot: Inferno is both a fire ant and a raging {{Pyromaniac}}.
* EvilSoundsDeep: It's especially evident when he's screaming.
* EyeScream: ignoring the fact that we see the [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown beatdown]] from his point of view, Dinobot finishes him off by gouging out his eyes and ripping his head in half.
* FangsAreEvil: He has very large, sharp teeth in robot mode. So large, in fact that he can't even seem to cover the fangs most of the time.
* ImplacableMan: He can take a lot of damage and keep coming.
* KilledOffForReal: Courtesy of a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown from Dinobot. And we see it all from his point of view.
* LargeHam: His insane ranting, maniacal laughter, and love of both fire and his "Queen" make Inferno one of the largest hams on the show.
* LaughingMad: May double as TheHyena.
* PsychoForHire: He's basically Megatron's/Galvatron's psychotic attack dog.
* PsychoSupporter: Believes he's in an ant colony and Megatron is the Queen. On the plus side for Megatron, this makes Inferno [[UndyingLoyalty undyingly loyal]], willing to follow any command and even willing commit suicide to destroy Galvatron's enemies.
-->'''Inferno''': For... the... ROYALTY!!! *''Fires on a huge chunk of [[MadeOfExplodium energon]]''*
* PlayingWithFire: Inferno's flamethrower is his favourite weapon.
** {{Pyromaniac}}: He's not called "Inferno" for nothing. But again, he is a delicious inversion of his Generation One namesake, who was sane, an Autobot, and a ''fire truck''.
* PutTheLaughterInSlaughter: On top of being an AxCrazy {{Pyromaniac}}, Inferno is constantly laughing in the midst of violence.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: His eyes are completely red.
* ScreamingWarrior: He often screams as he fights.
* SlasherSmile: His face seems to be permanently shaped into one.
* UndyingLoyalty: With the mentality of a fire ant, Inferno is simply ''incapable'' of betraying his leader. This trait, above all others, is why Megatron considers Inferno his most valuable pawn.
* UnexplainedRecovery: He somehow survives having a cluster of Energon exploding in his face.
* YesMan: Inferno's blind loyalty to Megatron/Galvatron is one of his defining traits.

!!Quickstrike

Quickstrike is a psychotic MixAndMatchCritter of a cobra and a scorpion. While boastful, he was far from the badass he claimed to be, and often ended up playing a relatively minor role of shooting at Maximals from the sidelines. His allegiances were fairly obviously to the person who gave him the most chances to fight, but after Bonecrusher defected from the Maximals, he wouldn't do anything without his best friend.

* AgonyBeam: Fired from his cobra mouth.
* AmusingInjuries:
** Squashed flat by Grimlock when the dinosaur first came online.
** He also tends to get blasted, cut, or blown up, along with his best buddy.
* ArmCannon: His viper arm.
* AxCrazy: Not as blatant as Inferno, but Quickstrike is a short-tempered lunatic who loves violence.
* BashBrothers: With Bonecrusher.
* BewareMyStingerTail: In beast mode, his cobra head fires lasers.
* BloodKnight: Notably, he wasn't so much concerned with a fair fight as getting the chance to beat on someone to prove how tough he was.
* TheBrute: Personality-wise he fits the trope well, but he is far from the toughest or strongest Predacon.
* ButtMonkey: While not quite to the extent of Waspinator, Quickstrike tends to suffer a lot throughout the series.
* CallBack: He's killed by Grimlock's GiantFootOfStomping, unlike when Grimlock first came online and [[AmusingInjuries he survived]].
* CombatPragmatist: Despite his ego, he'd take any advantage in a fight, reveling in attacking weakened or downed enemies.
* {{Cowboy}}: He has the accent and mannerisms of one.
* DumbMuscle: He doesn't think much beyond the next "kiester" he's going to kick.
* EvilCounterpart: To Silverbolt. Both are MixAndMatchCritters with an unusual code of honor and regard for the ladies, though in his case it's an evil {{Cowboy}} as opposed to a KnightInShiningArmor.
* FearlessFool: Quickstrike is generally too much of a trigger happy idiot to think his actions through.
* HairTriggerTemper: Pretty much anything will set Quickstrike off.
* HotBlooded: He has all the restraint of a sugar-high toddler.
* {{Jerkass}}: He's notably one of the few Maximal protoforms who didn't need a Predacon shell program to join the latter faction. [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold But he does genuinely care for Bonecrusher.]]
* KilledOffForReal: Along with Bonecrusher courtesy of Grimlock.
* LeeroyJenkins: No restraint, no subtlety, and ''lots'' of love for violence.
* MixAndMatchCritter: Between a [[ScaryScorpions scorpion]] and a cobra.
* MultipleHeadCase: He retains two heads in both modes.
* OhCrap:
-> '''Quickstrike''': I don't like the looks of this!
* PoisonousPerson: Fitting his fused beast mode, his cobra head is loaded with venom and viruses in both modes, though both were relatively weak compared to those the spiders on his team used.
* PsychoForHire: He's ready to follow whoever gives him more opportunities to kill.
** But he'll never go anywhere without Bonecrusher.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Like Inferno, his eyes are completely red.
* ScaryScorpions: A bit scarier and more competent than Scorponok.
* SmallNameBigEgo: He was utterly convinced that he was the toughest bot around, but was quite often proved wrong.
* SmugSnake: Quickstrike isn't exactly a slouch at combat, but he's nowhere near as tough or smart as he likes to think.
* TheSociopath: A very low functioning example. Quickstrike is a nasty, impulsive, and violent little snake who doesn't really care about anyone other than Bonecrusher.
** SociopathicSoldier: Type 2.
* UnwittingPawn: Quickstrike's many personality flaws make him extremely easy to manipulate, so much so that a good chunk of the characters use him and his buddy to do their dirty work.
* WouldHitAGirl: Yes, yes, yes he would.

!!Rampage

Rampage is the result of Maximal experiments intended to replicate the immortal, indestructible mutant spark that let Starscream survive as a ghost. While he's certainly nigh-unkillable, he's also a cannibalistic serial killer armed with a rocket launcher. According to him, he racked up a sizeable body count before Depth Charge finally caged him. Upon landing on Earth, he took the Beast Form of a crab.

Rampage is fully aware of what a nightmare his life is, but can't seem to think of a more constructive reaction than inflicting as much pain as possible on everyone around him.

* ArchEnemy: To Depth Charge... a set-up Rampage seems to enjoy.
* AttackItsWeakPoint: His gun barrel and treads in tank mode have both been exploited to take him down.
* AxCrazy: Everyone is a potential victim to him.
* TheBrute: Forced to be a thug for the Predacons.
* BreakThemByTalking: He likes to do this while torturing his victims.
* ColdBloodedTorture: Anybody Rampage gets his claws on can only pray for a quick death.
* CombatSadomasochist: Nothing seems to give him more pleasure than inflicting pain. Receiving it barely slowed him down.
* CompleteImmortality: He was created in an attempt to duplicate G1 Starscream's immortal spark. [[GoneHorriblyRight It worked.]] His spark was incapable of being extinguished whether it involved cutting it in half with an Energon blade, any physical damage Rampage experienced, or anything the high council could come up with to destroy him.
** Depth Charge found a way via an Energon crystal to the Spark.
* CurbStompBattle: Tigerhawk is on the receiving end of one. Sure, Tigerhawk lands a few hits, but Rampage's NighInvulnerability prevents any damage from being permanent.
* EnemyMine: He tries to make a deal with Depth Charge -- in exchange for Depth Charge getting Rampage his Spark back and killing Galvatron, Ramage will give him the Time Stone he took from Tigerhawk. Depth Charge refuses.
* EvilIsBigger: Rampage is ''huge'', to the point that only the likes of Depth Charge match him in size.
* EvilLaugh: As is to be expected from an AxCrazy, sadistic monster.
* EvilTastesGood: He is genuinely quite happy causing mayhem and destruction. [[BeingEvilSucks It only sucks]] when he thinks about how much he hates serving and being tortured by Megatron.
* ExplosiveLeash: His Spark, held captive by Megatron/Galvatron
* {{Expy}} Of ''[[Literature/TheSilenceOfTheLambs Hannibal Lecter]]'', just like his canon version.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Shows flashes of refinement and intelligence, but is an utter psychotic loon most of the time.
--> '''Rampage''': *''Grabs Victoria's submersible''* What a treat. You and me, alone.
--> '''Victoria''': Rampage, get off!
--> '''Rampage''': [[IAmAHumanitarian Not until I've tasted human in a can.]]
* FrankensteinsMonster: One of the smarter, more vengeful variety.
* ForTheEvulz: He often ignores orders to relieve his boredom by inflicting horrific torture on any convenient victim.
* GatlingGood: Meets rocket launcher.
* GiantEnemyCrab: They don't get much bigger than Rampage.
* GoneHorriblyRight: The Maximals' scientists wanted an immortal super-soldier. They got their wish and then some.
* HealingFactor / NighInvulnerability: Since he has an immortal spark based on Starscream's, he can't be killed by normal means. His body would heal from all but catastrophic damage in seconds. Depth Charge stabbing a shard of raw Energon straight through it, setting off a massive explosion, seems to do the trick.
* IJustWantToBeFree
-->'''Megatron:''' Never forget who holds the essence of your spark, and thus is your master.
-->'''Rampage:''' [[ImpliedDeathThreat That, I promise you.]]
* ImAHumanitarian: Depth Charge had friends at Starbase Rugby, as he recalls. Tasty ones, too.
* ImHavingSoulPains: Megatron/Galvatron keeps him in check by jamming crystallized Energon into the other half of his Spark until he submits to Megatron's/Galvatron's orders. Rampage is only able to survive this because he's almost indestructible, but it's still incredibly painful.
* ImplacableMan: Rampage isn't unstoppable, but it's still damn near impossible to make him stay down.
* TheJuggernaut: He's a [[NighInvulnerability nigh-invulnerable]] ImplacableMan who can shrug off anything thrown at him -- bullets, missiles, lasers, etc.
* KilledOffForReal: Along with Depth Charge after the latter drove an Energon crystal into his Spark.
* KnightOfCerebus: Rampage has very few comedic traits. It helps in making him one of the scariest and most dangerous Predacons ever.
* LovesTheSoundOfScreaming: Considering that he's a sadistic SerialKiller, it's to be expected.
* MadeASlave: By Megatron.
* MeaningfulRename:
-> '''Rampage:"' I'm called Rampage now! [[LampshadeHanging A bit obvious, but to the point, don't you think?]]
* NotQuiteDead: Because he's technically immortal, he can survive anything short of an Energon crystal to the Spark.
* OddFriendship: In the episode ''Transmutate'', his friendship with the titular character is genuine. Considering how both are essentially being used by the Predacons for their power, it might not be such an "odd" friendship after all.
** He also seems to have one with a human woman that he met some time ago, though he constantly threatens to kill her if she doesn't leave him alone. [[WouldntHitAGirl He never follows]] [[EvenEvilHasStandards through with it.]]
* PetTheDog: Rampage befriending Transmutate. The other Predacons only want to use Transmutate for its power or destroy it, a situation Rampage is very familiar with.
* {{Sadist}}: He seems to love causing pain and suffering, physical and/or emotional, more than anything else. Given what a nightmare his own existence is, this is likely to be Rampage's way of [[WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds coping with his pain]].
* SerialKiller: Implied to an exceptionally brutal one. One of his rampages is what turned Depth Charge into such an obsessive hunter.
* SoulJar: Megatron/Galvatron keeps half of Rampage's spark in torture device just so he can control him.
* SpiderSense: He somehow sensed Depth Charge's impending arrival even before his Starhopper emerged from that anomaly.
* StealthPun: He's a Predacon with an immortal spark and turns into a crab. [[DontExplainTheJoke He's constantly crabby]].
* TankGoodness: Next to his huge crab mode he can also transform into a tank with a huge three-barreled canon. His toy-incarnation is one of the few Transformers toys with working treads.
* TheyStillBelongToUsLecture: Twice over Transmutate.
-->'''Rampage:''' No! You will not have it, Optimus. The Darkness of its spark echoes my own, it belongs with ME!
-->'''Silverbolt:''' STOP! That one is not for you!
-->'''Rampage:''' It is ONLY for me!
* TragicMonster: Rampage is only what he was made by the Maximal High Council. He hates his own existence, and copes with it by inflicting pain on others.
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: For all his crimes, it must be remembered that he didn't ''choose'' to be born as the abomination that he is (that's actually the fault of the ''Maximals''), and he seems to be almost remorseful, at times, of his cannibalistic nature. Megatron's/Galvatron's cruel treatment of him doesn't make him any less sympathetic. As the episode "Transmutate" shows, the namesake creature tells you what a TragicMonster he can be if looked at from a different angle. Even ''[[KnightInShiningArmor Silverbolt]]'' and Victoria pitied him in that episode.

!!Bonecrusher

His Beast Form is a buffalo. He used to be a Maximal and a good friend to Cheetor. He also used to have a crush on Airrazor, but she didn't return his feelings, so he defected to the Predacons because "women like men with power". He quickly became good friends with Quickstrike. He's completely forgotten about his friendship with Cheetor, who likewise has forgotten that the two were even friends to begin with, let alone Bonecrusher being a Maximal. Like Quickstrike, he was killed by Grimlock.

* AffablyEvil: While he will still do evil things when told to, he'd much rather sit back and have fun with his buddy Quickstrike.
* AmusingInjuries: About as often as Quickstrike, but not as often as Waspinator.
* BashBrothers: With Quickstrike. Formerly with Cheetor.
* TheBrute: Being a buffalo, he's quite large.
* CatchPhrase: Borrowed from his inspiration:
--> YEE-HAW! GET ER DONE!
* DeepSouth: He was written with Larry the Cable Guy in mind. Even shares his CatchPhrase, as seen above.
* DumbMuscle: He's strong, but not smart.
* EvilIsPetty: Joined the Predacons because Airrazor didn't return his romantic feelings. Needless to say, this really pissed Cheetor off.
* FearlessFool: He feels like he can do anything with his best friend Quickstrike. He sometimes suffers for it.
* HopelessSuitor: It's what caused him to defect.
* InterspeciesRomance: Tried to have one with Airrazor. She didn't go for it.
* TheJuggernaut: Tends to charge in without thinking sometimes.
* KilledOffForReal: Courtesy of Grimlock in the finale.
* LargeAndInCharge: Large, but certainly ''not'' in charge.
* LargeHam: Considering who he was based on.
* MacrossMissileMassacre: He uses a missile launcher.
* OhCrap: Just before he dies, and several times before.
* OldFlame: Airrazor. She would tend to disagree.
* WouldHitAGirl: It kind of comes with the territory. Not only does he attack Victoria, he'll also attack his old flame, Airrazor.

!!Scarem

His Beast Form is that of a large scarab. He's perhaps the most loyal Predacon to Megatron and later on, Galvatron. He would lay down his life for his lord and master, despite the fact that his lord could kill him in a moment's notice. After seeing the [=TransMetal=] driver in action, he allows himself to become a [=TransMetal-2=]. He's killed by Dinobot during the final battle.

Tropes that apply to Scarem:

* AffablyEvil: He's very polite and very devoted to his lord Megatron/Galvatron.
* BattleButler: To his lord Megatron, and later to Galvatron.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Two scythes attached to his wrists as a [=TransMetal-2=].
* CantCatchUp: It doesn't really bother him that there's a bunch of Transmetals and Transmetal-2s running around; he only allows himself to become a Trasnmetal-2 to better serve his Lord Galvatron.
* CreepyMonotone: He's described as speaking with this tone of voice.
* {{Determinator}}: It takes a lot to put him down.
* EyeScream: Takes out the Panter King's eyes with his scythes.
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: Dinobot slices him in half during the finale.
%%* KilledOffForReal
* TheStoic: Never raises his voice.
* YodaSpeak: His primary method of speaking.

!!Spittor

His Beast Form is a Costa Rican poison arrow frog. One hundred years ago, he was responsible for Natalie's death, and as such, Cheetor has had it out for him ever since. He loves to mess with people's heads by using holograms to disguise himself, changing his voice, or causing them to hallucinate. He's finally killed by Cheetor partway through Season Two, but even in death, he still torments the Maximal.

Tropes that apply to Spittor:

* ArchEnemy: To Cheetor.
* ArmCannon: Has one that shoots typical lasers, another that shoots out a variety of gases -- some poisonous, some that cause hallucinations.
* ArmShield: One on each arm.
* ColdBloodedTorture: Loves performing the mental kind.
* {{Determinator}}: So, he's been shot, stabbed, burned, thrown off a cliff, and blown up in an Energon explosion, and even then he won't stop tormenting Cheetor.
* GratuitousSpanish: He sometimes drops Spanish words and phrases into his dialogue.
%%* KilledOffForReal
* MurderByMistake: Killed Natalie when he was aiming at Cheetor.
%%* {{Sadist}}

!!Sharpshot

His Beast Form is a stag beetle. He was once a Decepticon who reconfigured himself into a Predacon. Sharpshot leads the small group known as the Insecticons.

Tropes that apply to Sharpshot:

* AgonyBeam: His electric gun.
* BashBrothers: With the other Insecticons
* BigCreepyCrawlies: His Beast Form is a stag beetle.
* BigEater: Along with the other Insecticons.
* {{Expy}}: Of [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformers G1’s]] Shrapnel. He even adopted the character’s verbal tic.
* GrievousHarmWithABody: Cheetor bludgeons him with Kickback’s head before finishing him off.
* IAmAHumanitarian: He and the other Insecticons would have eaten Victoria [[BigDamnHeroes were it not for Siverbolt’s sudden intervention]].
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Cheetor stabs him in the Spark, finishing him off.
%%* KilledOffForReal
* TheLeader: Of the Insecticons.
* VerbalTic: Like his namesake, he has a tendency to repeat the last word of every sentence, sentence.
%%* WouldHurtAChild: Yup.

!!Kickback

His Beast Form is a locust. As such, he loves to eat. He’s also one of the most excitable of the Insecticons, always looking for a fight – not quite on the same level as Hardshell, but he’s still there.

Tropes that apply to Kickback:

* AxCrazy: Not as bad as Hardshell, but he loves to fight when he’s given the chance.
* BashBrothers: With the other Insecticons.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: He’s a locust.
* BigEater: Like all the Insecticons.
* {{Expy}}: Of [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformers G1’s]] Kickback. Hey, they have the same name, too.
* IAmAHumanitarian: He and the other Insecticons would have eaten Victoria [[BigDamnHeroes were it not for Siverbolt’s sudden intervention]].
* KilledOffForReal: He’s killed during the finale because….
* LosingYourHead: Cheetor chops off his head.
* NumberTwo: Second-in-command for the Insecticons.
%%* WouldHurtAChild: You know it.

!!Hardshell

His Beast Form is a rhinoceros beetle. He’s one the most bloodthirsty of the Insecticons and loves using that dagger of his. He’s killed by Victoria during the finale.

Tropes that apply to Hardshell:

* AnArmAndALeg: Victoria chops off an arm during their final fight.
* AxCrazy: Even more so than Kickback. This guy loves a good skirmish.
* BashBrothers: With the rest of the Insecticons.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: A rhinoceros beetle. Don’t want one of those things flying at you.
* BigEater: Just like the other two.
* {{Expy}}: Of [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformers G1’s]] Bombshell, with characteristics from [[WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime Transformers Prime’s]] Hardshell.
* HavingABlast: He’s got quite a few grenades at his disposal.
* IAmAHumanitarian: He and the other Insecticons would have eaten Victoria [[BigDamnHeroes were it not for Silverbolt’s sudden intervention]].
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Victoria runs him through during their final fight.
* KilledOffForReal: During the finale.
* OffWithHisHead: After [[AnArmAndALeg Victoria takes off an arm]] and [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice runs him through]], she decapitates him.
* WouldHurtAChild: Kind of comes with the territory of being a Predacon.

[[folder:Movie Characters]]

!!Magmatron

Magmatron is the villain of the first movie. He’s a bounty hunter hired by the Tripredacus Council to track down and apprehend or destroy Megatron. Along with his servant Razorbeast, he arrives on Earth and assumes the combined Beast Form of a Spinosaurus, a Quetzocoatlus, and an Elasmosaurus. His actions cause the Maximals and Predacons to join forces to defeat him. He’s killed at the end of the movie.

Tropes that apply to Magmatron:

* AffablyEvil: He can be when he wants to be. But that’s the key phrase: '''''[[FauxAffablyEvil When he wants to be]]'''''.
* BadBoss: He’s constantly smacked Razorbeast around and berating him, though he [[SubvertedTrope does feel genuinely angry after Razorbeast is killed]].
* BadassBoast: Gives on when he meets Cheetor.
--> '''Magmatron''': My name is Magmatron. Little Maximal Cub, let my blaster be my introduction!
* BigBad: Of the first movie.
* BountyHunter: He’s hired by the Tripredacus Council to apprehend or destroy Megatron.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: He implements this on Victoria by manipulating the Energon he makes her absorb.
* EnemyMine: Causes the Maximals and Predacons to join forces to defeat him.
* EvilIsBigger: Very evil and very big, managing to dwarf the likes of ''Rampage''.
* EvilIsHammy: He comes off as a subdued ColdHam, but there’s hints that he can still be quite bombastic.
* EvilSoundsDeep: He was written with Kevin Michael Richardson in mind.
* {{Expy}}: Shares the name of the BigBad from [[Anime/BeastWarsNeo Beast Wars Neo]].
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He’s thrown into the lava pit made when [[TrashTheSet he destroyed]] [[DramaticIrony the Predacon base]].
%%* KilledOffForReal
* LargeAndInCharge: Very large, very in charge.
* MixAndMatchCritter: Part Spinosaurus, part Quetzocoatlus, part Elasmosaurus.
* MythologyGag: His last words before dying? [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformersTheMovie “Destiny. You cannot destroy my destiny.”]] Optimus even [[LampshadeHanging calls him a “Unicron wannabe”]].
* NearVillainVictory: He would have won [[BigDamnHeroes were it not for the intervention of]] [[EnemyMine Cheetor and Spittor]].
* NoSell: Most attacks can hardly scratch him. The only one who can stand up to face to face is Grimlock.
* TrashTheSet: He blows up the Predacon base in an attempt to kill the Maximals and the Predacons. He fails.

!!Razorbeast

Razorbeast is Magmatron’s loyal servant, despite the fact that Magmatron is always berating him and smacking him around. When they land on Earth, he assumes the Beast Form of a warthog. Partway through the events of the first movie, he’s killed by the combined efforts of Tigatron, Dinobot, Inferno, and Waspinator.

Tropes that apply to Razorbeast:

* ButtMonkey: To Magmatron. He’s still incredibly loyal despite this.
* TheChewToy: See ButtMonkey above.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: He may not be that tough, but he managed to hold his own against the combined efforts of two Maximals and two Predacons before he was killed…by '''WASPINATOR''', of all bots!
%%* KilledOffForReal
* OhCrap: Says a variation of this before getting blown up.

!!Devon

Devon is a hunter who lives in a small town. He comes across Victoria and Stinkbomb after they survive the destruction of the Predacon base and nurses them back to health. After Victoria’s body is [[BrainwashedAndCrazy taken over by Magmatron]], he joins the Transformers, if only because he now finds himself mixed up in the fight with Magmatron.

Tropes that apply to Devon:

* BadassHunter: He’s got the pelts of most of his game on the walls of his hunting shack, and he uses his skills to find Cheetor and Spittor in the remains of the Predacon base during the finale.
* DinosaursAreDragons: He once refers to Grimlock as a dragon. [[InsistentTerminology Grimlock is quick to correct him]].
* FollowYourNose: As he puts it: “A good hunter must have a good sense of smell, otherwise he won’t be hunting for very long.”
* ImprobableWeaponUser: More like improbable use of a weapon. Then again, using a rifle as a lever does make a bit of sense.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: He just vanishes after the events of the first movie. The other characters don’t even mention him after this. According to WordOfGod, he was going to be a recurring character, but he couldn’t be fit into the story after the first movie.

!!Jason

Jason was a soldier for the Union Army. Because he carried an Energon as a good luck charm, he was targeted by the Predacons and roped into the Beast Wars. He’s also good friends with a few Native Americans. He was there to see Optimus be killed by a newly created Galvatron and joined in for the battle at a cluster of Energon crystals, which ended up costing him his life.

Tropes that apply to Jason:

* ActionHero: He’s a soldier for the Union Army and isn’t afraid to take a few pot shots at a Predacon.
* ChekhovsGun: His Energon crystal proves useful to both friend and foe twice later on in the series.
%%* ChekhovsGunman
* DyingDeclarationOfLove: He seems like he’s giving one of these out, but [[WordOfGod he wasn’t. He was saying: “I can finally be with my friends in Heaven”]].
* GoodLuckCharm: He sees his Energon crystal – or as the humans call Energon, wishing crystals – as one.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Takes a large Energon crystal through the heart.
* KilledOffForReal: His death triggers something in Victoria.
* OhCrap: What other reaction would he have seeing a FUCKING DRAGON?!
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: He’s on the receiving end of one from Rattrap after Optimus dies.
--> Hey, kid, the Boss Monkey died so you could live to see another day. And you didn't know him like we did, so I suggest you shut up right now! We've been fighting the Predacons for eighty thousand years, and you've been fighting your war for about three years. Compared to the Beast Wars, that's nothing. Optimus has been there with us the whole time, leading us, fighting alongside us, and he gets snuffed out by a fire-breathing lizard! You lost a few friends, I get that, but we've seen friends drop like flies over the millennia, so you'd better start showing a little respect, you little piece of slag!

!!William

William was one of Jason's friends in the Union Army during the events of the second movie. The next time we see him, he's dying in a cave thanks to an attack by the Predacons.

Tropes that apply to William:

* DiedInYourArmsTonight: He dies while Optimus is holding him.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: He...had no character. He just existed to die and give Jason motivation.

!!Donald

Donald was one of Jason's friends in the Union Army during the events of the second movie. The next time we see him, he's been killed by the Predacons.

Tropes that apply to Donald:

* WeHardlyKnewYe: He...had no character. He just existed to die and give Jason motivation.

!!Jean-Louis Sebaugh

The main human villain of the third movie. He once harbored a secret crush on Natalie, but she fell for Cheetor instead. He spent the rest of his life seeking revenge. To that end, he sought out the Fountain of Youth and made the Elixer of Life to keep him young and help him live forever, at least until his vengeance has been sated. He makes a deal with the Predacons to get rid of all the Maximals in exchange for some Energon.

Tropes that apply to Jean-Louis:

* AffablyEvil: He can tell the occasional joke, but make no mistake, the man is out for blood.
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: He had a crush on Natalie, but she never returned his feelings. Why? Because she went for Cheetor. Thus kicking off the events of the movie.
* BigBad: Of the third movie.
* BigBadEnsemble: Makes a pact with the Predacons – he kills the Maximals in exchange for some Energon.
%%* CardCarryingVillain
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The very first scene of the movie has him using his voodoo powers to kill some random person.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Scarem stabs him in the heart, leading to:
%%* KilledOffForReal
* RasputinianDeath: Has an arm broken, shot through the knee with an arrow, has another leg broken, is beaten, and finally stabbed in the heart.
* RevengeBeforeReason: He wants so badly to get back at Cheetor for taking Natalie from him – despite the fact that Natalie never cared for this guy – that he sought out the Fountain of Youth to obtain the Elixer of Life, and then spent the last one hundred years searching for Cheetor.
* StalkerWithACrush: Was one to Natalie.

!!Samantha

Samantha is a young girl that Stinkbomb befriends. Her brother was killed during the battle of Antietam, and she thinks that the Energon crystal she has will bring him back. What she doesn’t know is that her Energon crystal is just a normal stone, yet this still makes her a target for Spittor.

Tropes that apply to Samantha:

* AdorablyPrecociousChild: She’s an adorable nine year old girl with an attitude.
* BigBrotherWorship: She views her big brother as a hero. With good reason, considering that he raised her after their parents died.
* TheCutie: Tigatron sure thinks so.
* DisappearedDad: Her father died shortly after she was born. [[MissingMom So did her mother.]]

!!Samantha's Brother

Samantha's older brother went off to join the Confederacy when the war began. The last anyone heard of him, he was killed during the battle of Antietam. Samantha wants to believe that he's alive, and if he isn't that the wishing crystals -- Energon -- will bring him back.

Tropes that apply to Samantha's Brother:

!!Shawna

Shawna is a little girl living in a coastal New Jersey town along with her mother. She's the daughter of her mother and a Native American man, the latter of whom went missing sometime before Shawna was born. Being part Native American, she has the innate ability to locate Energon, an ability which the Predacons seek to exploit.

Tropes that apply to Shawna:

* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: The reason she gravitates to the Maximals almost instantly. She even thinks Grimlock looks like a nicer [[DinosaursAreDragons dragon]] than Galvatron.
* BreakTheCutie: Her father went missing -- most likely killed -- she's bullied by the other kids in her home town, she and her mother have been alienated because of her being half Native American, she's held for at least a week by the Predacons as an Energon locator, she's forced to watch her the Maximals and Predacons tear her town apart during their battle, almost sees her own mother killed, and is nearly killed herself if not [[BigDamnHeroes for Grimlock's intervention]].
* DisappearedDad: Her father went MIA before she was born.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Though given the world back then, and the fact that she's a Predacon target, that's not an easy task to accomplish.

!!Shawna's Mother (Julia)

After Shawna was born, her mother was shunned and just as berated as Shawna herself. This led to her [[DealWithTheDevil making a deal with Galvatron to let her go with the Predacons if it kept her safe]]. Needless to say, Galvatron didn't keep his word. After the battle, Shawna and her mother were slowly accepted back into the town, though it may take some time before things ever get to the way they want.

Tropes that apply to Shawna's Mother:

* AllThereInTheManual: Her name is never spoken by any of the characters; she's always just referred to as "Shawna's Mother". Her name is only ever said in the script.
* BreakTheCutie: She suffers just as much as Shawna.
* BullyingADragon: She's not afraid to give Galvatron a piece of her mind for going back on his word.
* DealWithTheDevil: She thinks the only way to keep Shawna safe is to hand her over to Galvatron and the Predacons. They don't keep their promise.
* MamaBear: She'll tear you a new one for breaking her promise, even if you're a giant red dragon.

!!Monique Taylor

Victoria's mother works at the local hospital. She's not as disapproving of Victoria's escapades as her husband is, but she still worries for her daughter's safety. She doesn't know what to make of the Transformers at first -- in fact, when Victoria tells everyone about them, she thinks Victoria might have been making the whole thing up. All she wants is her daughter to be safe. She also likes to give her goodies to give to the Maximals.

Tropes that apply to Monique Taylor:

%%* HospitalHottie
* TeamMom: She treats any Maximals that visit like a member of the family, offering them a place to sleep for the night and more than once even cooking a meal for them. She also gives Victoria treats and medical supplies to take back to the Maximals on a regular basis.

!!Daniel Taylor

Victoria's father is a welder at the local factory. We just never see him working there. Unlike his wife and son, he's much more disapproving of Victoria's time traveling escapades and more than once calls the Maximals out on letting her join their fight. That's not to say that he doesn't understand why she decided to take up the Maximal cause; he knows why, he just doesn't like it.

Tropes that apply to Daniel Taylor:

* FullNameReveal: Towards Victoria; during the finale, he calls her by her full name, Victoria Elizabeth Taylor.
* GadgeteerGenius: He's constantly tinkering with something and helps the Maximals make a one-man sub for Victoria to take into the ruins of the old base.
* PapaWolf: He's not afraid to give even Optimus Primal a piece of his mind about his daughter's escapades.

!!Shaun Taylor

Shaun is Victoria's younger brother. Unlike his mom and dad, he thinks Victoria's adventures are the coolest things ever and wishes he could join her. He takes an almost immediate shine to the Maximals, particularly Dinobot, whom he comes to view as his hero. 1145!!Silver Fox / The Wendigo

Silver Fox was a Native American princess who got lost in the woods with her guides and became a Wendigo after being forced to kill and eat her guides. Since the Wendigo is able to change its shape, it uses the Silver Fox disguise to lure unsuspecting victims into its lair, where it can then feast upon them. That’s not to say that Silver Fox isn’t fighting from the inside, and after the Wendigo is killed by Tigatron and Airrazor, she comes in spirit form to thank them personally.

Tropes that apply to Silver Fox/The Wendigo:

* BodyHorror: Not only is the Wendigo repulsive, not only is its lair filled with the corpses of its victims – some corpses being very fresh – but Silver Fox’s transformation into the Wendigo is just painful to think about.
* BreakTheCutie: According to Tigatron, the Wendigo is a victim to its own addiction, and given the way Silver Fox acts, that’s not too far from the truth.
* DeathEqualsRedemption: Silver Fox can only be freed from the curse of the Wendigo by being killed by Tigatron and Airrazor.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: That’s what the entire fight with the Wendigo comes out to be.
* IAmAHumanitarian: The Wendigo feeds on human flesh because it’s a monster that was once a human turned cannibal.

!!Nani

Nani is a little girl that Depth Charge and Cybershark rescue shortly after arriving on Earth. Her entire family was killed when bandits set fire to their wagon, and along with her horse Thunderbeast, she was the only survivor. She doesn't seem too worried about it, however, since travelling with Depth Charge and Cybershark really helped her move on. She eventually moves in with Victoria and her family.

Tropes that apply to Nani:

%%* AdorablyPrecociousChild
* BadassAdorable: She kind of needs to be when travelling with two badass robots from another planet.
* BigBrotherWorship: In her eyes, Depth Charge and Cybershark are like the cool big brothers she never had. Though she still refers to Depth Charge as "Commander".
* FriendToAllLivingThings: You'd be hard pressed to find something or someone that she doesn't like. Heck, she doesn't even hate any of the Predacons.
* HappilyAdopted: She goes to live with Victoria and her family at the end of the series, prompting this exchange between Victoria and Cybershark.
-->Cybershark: Are you sure letting Nani live with you is a good idea? You don't think it's going to screw up the time stream?
-->Victoria: We've screwed the time stream up enough; one little thing won't hurt.
