3	The Cadre were a group of supervillains whose powers were bestowed by the cosmic alien Overmaster to assist him in his efforts to test humanity's fitness to inhabit Earth. The Cadre opposed the Justice League on many different occasions and in various incarnations. Several members have died, only to be replaced by newly empowered recruits.

This version was made up of international metahumans deluded by an agent of the Overmaster that claimed to be Prester John, the Immortal.
