!Jackie Lynn Thomas
* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: Her [[spoiler:mother is dead]] in this story, so she's pretty content to [[spoiler:die in Star's wand if it means getting to enjoy some time with a memory of her.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Elizabeth Butterfly]]
!Elizabeth Butterfly
Star and Marco's daughter from the future of a timeline where Marco marries Star. She came back in time to resolve some unidentified anomaly in the space-time continuum that Future Glossaryck warned her about. She passes herself off as another one of the Diaz family's exchange students, going by the name Elizabeth Karatentence, though she later becomes Jackie's roommate to avoid the risk of Star discovering her identity.

Elizabeth is a main character in [=MoringMark=]’s WebComic/SVTFOEMetaverse, appearing as a security guard in the Citadel of Starco.
* AbsurdlySharpBlade: She wields one, and used it to slice a bank robbery getaway car clean in half.
* ActionGirl: Like every other queen and princess of the Butterfly lineage.
* AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents: While she loves them all the same, Elizabeth considers Star and Marco to be this in regards to their obsession with [[FakeBand Love Sentence]], with Star even giving her a haircut to resemble the style of Justin Towers.
* BigDamnHeroes: Her ChronicHeroSyndrome gives her a tendency to do this fairly frequently.
* BullyHunter: Elizabeth apparently wakes up early in the morning to fight bullies.
* ButtMonkey: In the Citadel of Starco.
* CainAndAbel: Elizabeth and Jam are trying to bring about their own ideal timelines while accomplishing their respective missions in the past, and that comes at the risk of each other's existence.
* ChronicHeroSyndrome: Elizabeth can’t seem to stop being a hero.
** She nearly blows her cover in front of Star by saving a kid's life and thwarting a bank robbery just before Star was about to.
** Elizabeth skips breakfast at Jackie's house in favor of going out and [[BullyHunter fighting bullies]].
** A newspaper article shows her saving lives at an auto exhibition à la Superman on the cover of ''Action Comics #1''.
* DeadpanSnarker: She can be pretty sarcastic at times. Even when her hand is fading in and out of existence, she finds the time to make a quip about it.
* FacialMarkings: Hers are in the shape of a fleur-de-lis. The cheek marks being mistaken for resembling corn stalks is supposedly an in-universe RunningGag, but an [[InformedAttribute actual joke about it has yet to be made in the comics]].
* FriendlyEnemy: Elizabeth tries to be this with Jam, but the latter is too paranoid and distrustful to let her get close, even after Jackie convinces him to make peace with her.
* HalfHumanHybrid: Half human from Marco, half Mewman from Star. [[spoiler: Which might be the answer to her apparent inability to cast spells without her wand.]]
* GodGuise: Elizabeth passes herself off as the Blood Moon when trying to give Star some comforting words of advice about dealing with her unrequited love for Marco.
* HeroicBSOD: She goes into one at the Love Sentence quiz show when Jam declares war on her existence and she comes to the startling realization that her timeline ceasing to be is a very real possibility.
* HybridPower: [[spoiler: Sadly averted. Elizabeth's being half human doesn't make her more powerful than her ancestors, but weaker than them.]]
* TheIllegible: Her handwriting is [[https://moringmark.tumblr.com/post/620725954722004993#notes atrocious]], which is why the Book of Spells from her time period is a tablet.
* ImportantHaircut: [[spoiler: Chops off her long hair after Jam gives her a pep talk regarding her inability to use magic.]]
* InformedAttribute: Elizabeth's fleur-de-lis cheek marks being mistaken for corn stalks is allegedly an in-universe RunningGag as stated in the AllThereInTheManual post, but an actual joke about it has yet to be made in the comics.
* KidFromTheFuture: Star and Marco's, to be specific.
* [[LikeFatherLikeSon Like Father Like Daughter]]: Just like her father, she has crippling self-esteem issues. When told that she needs to "believe in herself" to [[spoiler:fix the wand]], her reaction is thus:
-->'''Elizabeth''': (deadpan) Oh boy. We're doomed.
* LineOfSightName: Elizabeth comes up with her fake last name—"Karatentence"—by looking at posters for a Mackie Hand movie and Love Sentence.
* LukeYouAreMyFather: The story begins with Elizabeth interrupting Jackie and Marco’s date to pull this on Marco, [[spoiler:and Star later finds out that Elizabeth is her daughter when Ruberiot blabs about it on Song Day to all of Mewni]].
* MagicKnight: She is proficient both in magic like her mother and in swordsmanship like her father.
* MagicVersusScience: Elizabeth is the Magic to Jam’s Science.
* MomentKiller: The story begins with her interrupting what was supposed to be Marco and Jackie's FirstKiss by blasting magic between their faces and implicitly calling Marco her father.
* MythologyGag: Elizabeth's means of traveling through time is the giant hamster-drawn carousel made from the Wheel of Progress that Star and Marco used to time travel in the ''Deep Trouble'' comics.
* OddFriendship: With Jackie, whose high school love life is literally a threat to Elizabeth's very existence. Furthermore, Elizabeth is living proof of the potential that Jackie's beloved boyfriend could leave her for a girl that she's already [[GreenEyedMonster jealous]] and [[TheResenter resentful]] of. That doesn't stop them from getting along together, and Jackie even calls herself Elizabeth's sidekick in fighting bullies.
* OhCrap: Elizabeth tends to have this reaction whenever she comes close to blowing her cover to Star, and when [[spoiler:Ruberiot actually does blow her cover in song form to all of Mewni, including Star]].
** Elizabeth and Jam both have an OhCrap moment along with an awkward half-sibling hug when Star's dark magic blast is about to destroy the billboard they were standing on.
* OnlySaneMan: Compared to her [[WackyParentSeriousChild parents]] and to [[TheComicallySerious Jam]].
* PaperThinDisguise: Elizabeth's fleur-de-lis FacialMarkings that would otherwise give away her identity as a member of the royal Butterfly family are barely obscured by the rims of Marco's psychologist glasses.
* ProperlyParanoid: Her fears that helping the Magic High Commission with RetroactivePreparation to storm Ludo's hideout might change the timeline for the worse are proven correct when [[spoiler:Toffee possesses Moon's body rather than Ludo's]].
* PurelyAestheticGlasses: She wears Dr. Marco [=PhD=]’s psychologist glasses as part of her disguise.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: After foiling a bank robbery and saving a little kid from getting run over by using magic, Elizabeth is confronted by Star. She immediately summons Cloudy and gets out before Star can ask her any more questions.
* ShipperOnDeck: For Starco, understandably.
* SpitTake: Elizabeth does one with a bowl of cereal when she learns from Jackie that [[spoiler:Marco had told her that he was going to be spending the night doing homework, when he was actually going to Star's Song Day party]]… on Jam, much to his disgust.
* StockYuck: She protests to Marco serving broccoli with her pancakes for breakfast.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Elizabeth is pretty much Star, with a slightly different hairstyle that resembles Justin Towers’, her cheek marks being fleur-de-lis instead of hearts, and Marco's hair color.
* SweetTooth: Elizabeth tries to take advantage of Marco's absence [[spoiler:while he and Star are attending the Song Day festival]] to steal some of his Captain Blanche's Sugar Seed Cereal, similar to her mother.
* TakeAThirdOption: She tries to find a solution that will allow both her and Jam to exist while solving both their problems, but Jam's hesitant to trust her.
* TimeCrash: Elizabeth's reason for going to the past is to deal with some temporal anomaly that Future Glossaryck told her about and prevent this from happening.
* TimeTravelForFunAndProfit: Elizabeth used her future knowledge to get a winning lottery ticket. She ends up having to split the money with Jam, who had the same idea.
* TranquilFury: When a bear is chomping on her leg as she sleeps outside, and later when she's forced to sleep over at Jackie's house, all Elizabeth can do is cross her arms and frown.
* TwitchyEye: Her reaction to the sudden appearance of the Marcapoo daughter in the non-canon page.
* WackyParentSeriousChild: While it's easy to be this when your mother is Star Butterfly, Elizabeth also manages to be this to her version of Marco, who is as goofy and obsessed with Love Sentence as Star is and exasperates Elizabeth with his obsession just as much. Averted with the present day Marco, who is the OnlySaneMan to his future kids’ antics.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Jam Diaz]]
!Jam Diaz
Marco and Jackie's son from the future of a timeline where Earth is a wasteland ravaged by monsters who came from an event called the Stapocalypse. He travelled to the past in order to prevent the Stapocalypse, but soon gets preoccupied with making sure he continues to exist by getting his parents together. He enrolls into Echo Creek Academy under the name Jam Doe.
* AntiMagic: Subverted with his laser gun; he has the word magic written on it with a "no" symbol over it, but WordOfGod confirms that the weapon doesn't actually have AntiMagic properties and Jam just drew that on it.
* BadFuture: The timeline he comes from is one. An event called the "Stapocalypse" happened, which caused Earth to be flooded by monsters, which quickly turned the planet into a hostile wasteland. Marco and Jackie are actually dead, and he seems to be willing to sacrifice his existence just to make sure such a thing doesn't happen and his parents remain alive.
* BigEater: At breakfast, Jam requests "like, twelve more of this food called pancake," likely because food is scarce in his timeline.
* BigStupidDoodooHead: When he [[spoiler:throws a grenade at Moon!Toffee's face]], his idea for a one-liner is, “Surprise, you big dummy head.”
* CainAndAbel: Elizabeth and Jam are trying to bring about their own ideal timelines while accomplishing their respective missions in the past, and that comes at the risk of each other's existence.
* ChickMagnet: He takes after Marco in this regard, managing to woo the majority of Ms. Skullnick's class with a single gaze.
* TheComicallySerious: Jam is often straight-faced and serious in the most silly and/or mundane of situations.
* CrazyPrepared: Like his mother, Jam apparently keeps a skateboard and helmet on his person at all times.
* CreepyChild: When he was younger, he casually threw a bunch of (non-poisonous) scorpions on kids that were bullying him without changing his default deadpan expression.
* DeceasedParentsAreTheBest: Marco made a HeroicSacrifice to save Jam's life, and Jackie is also dead in Jam's timeline.
* DefrostingIceQueen: Although he still has some animosity with Elizabeth, Jackie persuades Jam to be less harsh on Elizabeth and to keep in mind that she’s his half-sister.
* DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu: Jam defiantly throws rocks at [[spoiler:Toffee-Moon]] after the latter [[spoiler:destroys his laser blaster, before eventually lobbing a grenade]].
* EnergyWeapon: He wields a futuristic laser blaster.
* EvenTheGuysWantHim: Justin Armberg is among the classmates who fall for Jam.
* FunWithAcronyms: His name is an acronym for '''J'''ackie '''a'''nd '''M'''arco, which they apparently had to come up with on short notice because of the urgency of the Stapocalypse.
* HypocriticalHumor: Twice in regards to his name.
** When Elizabeth's LineOfSightName gives her the surname Karatentence, Jam, whose alias is Jam Doe, thinks it's ridiculous.
** His reaction Elizabeth telling the Magic High Commission that [[spoiler:Toffee is the ManBehindTheMan to Ludo]] is to question why someone would name their kid after food.
* KidFromTheFuture: Jackie and Marco's son.
* LikeFatherLikeSon: Or rather, Like Mother, Like Son. Jam keeps a skateboard and helmet on his person in any scenario, just like Jackie.
* LukeYouAreMyFather: Jam introduces himself by shooting a laser at Elizabeth when she’s interrupting Marco and Jackie’s date and telling her to stay away from his parents.
* MagicVersusScience: Jam uses futuristic technology and has a "no magic" symbol on his laser gun, while Elizabeth is a magical princess.
* NoodleIncident: How he got the scar over his eye is not yet elaborated on beyond him angrily telling Elizabeth that it's a consequence of the last time he trusted someone.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Jam has plenty of these moments.
** He bickers with Elizabeth and participates in challenges with her, including a literal MidBattleTeaBreak.
** He has as much knowledge on Love Sentence trivia as Elizabeth, due to having only Love Sentence magazines to read for entertainment while in the wasteland.
** Like Elizabeth, Jam also decided to engage in TimeTravelForFunAndProfit by winning the lottery.
* NotSoStoic:
** When Marco tells him that his first day at school was completely the opposite of staying under the radar, Jam solemnly apologizes and can be seen with tears in his eyes, upset at having disappointed his father.
** After getting put in a timeout corner at Sensei Brantley's birthday party, Janna gives him a slice of birthday cake and he tears up in happiness upon tasting it.
** He ends up blowing a fuse and yelling at Marco and Jackie to make up after [[spoiler:Marco gets MistakenForCheating with Star]].
* OlderThanTheyLook: Downplayed. He can pass himself off as a fourteen-year-old to enroll in Ms. Skullnick's class, but he's actually sixteen.
* SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong: Jam's goal as the comic begins is to prevent the Stapocalypse.
* ShipperOnDeck: For Jarco, though he considers [[spoiler:stepping out of Elizabeth's way and allowing Starco to happen if only to avert the Stapocalypse in the Jarco timeline]].
* ShoutOut: Jam's means of time travel is [[WesternAnimation/GravityFalls Blendin Blandin's time tape]].
* SheIsNotMyGirlfriend: Jackie and Jam are understandably squicked when the announcer at the Love Sentence quiz show mistakenly assumes that they are a couple.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Jam is basically Marco with slightly ruffled hair, with his mother's eyes, and streak of teal hair.
* TeenGenius: He apparently built a working death ray for science class, which a newspaper reported on.
* TimeTravelForFunAndProfit: Jam used his future knowledge to get a winning lottery ticket. He ends up having to split the money with Elizabeth, who had the same idea.
* TragicKeepsake: Jackie's seashell necklace, in which he keeps a photo of Marco and Jackie holding him as a baby.
* WhatBeautifulEyes: This is how he gets the class to fall for him.
* WhoNamesTheirKidDude: Jam's reaction to [[spoiler:Elizabeth telling the Magic High Commission that Toffee is the ManBehindTheMan to Ludo]] is to question who would name their kid after food.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Future Glossaryck]]
!Future Glossaryck
Sir Glossaryck of Terms from the future of Elizabeth's timeline. He is the one who sent her on a mission to resolve some temporal anomaly in the past.
* AssShove: His third head representing an unlikely timeline where Janna and Marco get together is smaller than the other two and is located in the "backseat."
* {{Magitek}}: The Book of Spells he is bound to has been converted into a tablet device with the pages stored as files. A short reveals that this is because Elizabeth is TheIllegible.
* TheChessMaster: [[spoiler: Every time a timeline ends he creates a new one so he can learn more about magic. The canon series was just one of many he's orchestrated and Ship War AU is just the latest.]]
* MultipleHeadCase: He gains additional heads whenever the timeline splits, with each head representing a timeline. The two visible heads represent the Starco and Jarco timelines, but he also mentions a [[ThirdOptionLoveInterest third]], more unlikely Janco timeline represented by a much smaller head in the… [[AssShove backseat]].
* ThirdOptionLoveInterest: According to him, Janna is one for Marco in the love triangle between him, Star, and Jackie, but since she's a less likely option, the head representing the Janco timeline is smaller and in the back.
* TookALevelInKindness: Future Glossaryck is much more helpful to Marco and far less cryptic than his present day counterpart, though this might be because he takes different approaches based on who he's teaching.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: He mentions that the last person he gave dating advice to was [[GreaterScopeVillain Queen Eclipsa]], which didn't turn out so well.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Magic High Commission]]
!The Magic High Commission
A group of magical beings created by Glossaryck to watch over Mewmans. They include Hekapoo, creator of dimensional scissors. Omnitraxus prime who is in charge of space time. Rhombulus who imprisons evil in crystals. Lekmet is currently deceased and Reynaldo is working the ferry of time. [[spoiler: After the canon season finale Glossaryck has them redo their roles in the Ship War AU to further is experimentation with magic.]]
* AdaptationalHeroism: Or AdaptationalVillainy depending how you look at it. Page 74 reveals that [[spoiler: Whenever a timeline ends Glossaryck has the commission "start over" where he creates a new timeline and they "stick to the script" so they can learn more about magic. Ship War AU is just the most recent and the previous timeline was the canon series]].
** On one hand it reveals that their prejudice towards monsters and supporting Mina can be downplayed to them just following Glossaryck's plan.
** On the other it means that they are actively lying and manipulating everyone around them so its hard to tell how much they care about anyone else is genuine. Though at least Hekapoo feels some guilt over lying to Elizabeth.
* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: Averted actually. Since the commission is reborn at the end of every timeline and the beginning of the next Rhombulus see's Lekmet's death as him "taking a break" from playing along with the script. Needless to say, Rhombulus isn't mourning his "death" like he was in canon. At least in private.
* TimeAbyss: While in canon, they're estimated to be hundreds of years old (or in Hekapoo's case, hundreds of millions of years due to how time works in her dimension), in this AU, they've been around since the first big bang of the first timeline Glossaryk created.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Marcapoo daughter]]
!Marcapoo daughter
The unnamed daughter of Marco and Hekapoo, who only appears in one non-canon comic.
* AmbiguousSituation: It's unclear if she's another time-traveling KidFromTheFuture like Elizabeth and Jam or if she was aged as a result of living in [[YearInsideHourOutside Hekapoo's dimension]].
* CanonDiscontinuity: Her sole appearance is in a non-canon joke page.
* CuteLittleFangs: Like her mother.
* HalfHumanHybrid: Like Elizabeth, she's half human on Marco's side, while the remaining half is whatever Hekapoo is.
* HeroicBastard: Assuming she was conceived during Marco's trial.
* KidFromTheFuture: [[AmbiguousSituation Possibly]], although she might simply have grown up in a YearInsideHourOutside environment.
* NoNameGiven: Her sole appearance is completely devoid of dialogue, nor is her name given in the tags.
* OCStandIn: [=ADdude=]'s ''FanFic/LikeFatherLikeDaughter'' is about a character named Seraph who is based off of the Marcapoo daughter from ''Ship War AU''.
* PlayingWithFire: She makes her entrance by burning a hole in the wall of the Diaz house's dining room while Marco is serving Elizabeth and Jam nachos.
* ThirdOptionLoveInterest: Her existence marks Hekapoo as one to Marco in the Starco/Jarco love triangle, though she's non-canon.
* YearInsideHourOutside: One possibility is that she was conceived near the end of Marco's sixteen-year-long challenge to earn his dimensional scissors, and grew up in Hekapoo's dimension until she was a teenager and visited Earth.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: '''SPOILER CHARACTER''']]
!Toffee-Moon
As a result of the timeline changing due to Elizabeth and Jam's actions, Toffee ended up possessing Moon's body rather than Ludo's.
* BeamOWar: Gets into one with Elizabeth, which shatters Elizabeth's wand.
* CurbStompBattle: As was the case in canon, Toffee slaughters most of the Magic High Commission with ease. This time, it ends even faster due to having access to Moon's magic powers.
* DemonicPossession: Toffee pulled this on Moon rather than Ludo.
* DidntSeeThatComing: Jam chucking rocks in his face [[NoSell ineffectually]] made Toffee let his guard down when Jam threw a grenade.
* ForWantOfANail: Because Ludo was dealt with before he could get possessed, Toffee possessed Moon instead, becoming even more powerful.
* GrandTheftMe: Ludo is dealt with before Toffee can pull this on him like he did in the series proper. Instead, the one who ends up getting possessed by Toffee is Moon.
* GreaterScopeVillain: Possibly, as Jam speculates that Ludo’s wand may have been the cause of the Stapocalypse in his timeline, though it’s uncertain if Jam’s hypothesis is correct.
* HeroKiller: Just as in canon, Toffee takes down the Magic High Commission with little effort, killing Lekmet permanently and incapacitating the rest.
* ImplacableMan: Grenades just slow him down.
* InSpiteOfANail: Despite the RetroactivePreparation to keep him from becoming a threat, he still manages to possess someone's body.
* KnightOfCerebus: His appearance marks a turning point where the story becomes more serious and much heavier with the drama.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: Once he assumes Moon's Mewberty form.
* NoSell: He takes a laser blast to the face from Jam with little more than a slight burn on his host body's cheek.
* PowerParasite: Toffee not only saps the powers of the Magic High Commission as he does in canon, he also gets around to killing Lekmet himself with the same kind of blast and takes indefinite control over Moon's body and her powers.
* ScrewDestiny: It’s implied that he intends to avert Toffee’s [[KilledOffForReal canon fate]] of being defeated by Star, once he learns of it from Star’s tapestry inside Elizabeth’s wand.
* ShapeshifterGuiltTrip: Or, Demonic Possession Guilt Trip — Toffee, while in Moon's body, begs for an attacking Hekapoo to stop hurting her, causing her to hesitate long enough to get hit by Toffee's magic blast.
* SuperMode: Moon Butterfly's Mewberty state, which gives Toffee enough magic power to break Elizabeth's wand.
* TrailersAlwaysLie: A poster for the ''Ship War AU'' depicted the Toffee-Ludo entity from "Starcrushed" even though the story replaces him with this character. After Toffee-Moon’s debut, an updated version of that poster was released.
* WalkingSpoiler: The fact that Moon takes Ludo's place as the victim of Toffee's possession is a huge twist in the story.
* XanatosSpeedChess: Toffee became this entity because he needed to improvise after Elizabeth and Moon managed to out-gambit his original plan to control Ludo. Additionally, he’s already thinking about changes to the rest of his plan once he peeks into Elizabeth’s wand and discovers Star’s tapestry depicting her defeating him.
* YouCantThwartStageOne: Toffee still manages to acquire a body to possess and eliminate the Magic High Commission despite Moon using Elizabeth's knowledge of the future to do some RetroactivePreparation.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Eclipsa Butterfly]]
!Eclipsa Butterfly
A former queen of Mewni who was imprisoned in a crystal by the Magic High Commission for marrying a monster. 300 years after that she made a deal with Moon Butterfly to be released once her enemy Toffee is destroyed. Once he's been killed by Star she seeks out Jackie Lynn Thomas. [[spoiler: To "mix things up" Glossaryck changed her a bit from her canon counterpart and is ''[[AdaptationalVillainy less benevolent]]''.]]

* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: Because this version was able to replace her eye with the all seeing eye spell she was able to see what happened to her family and learn that Star ISN'T her descendant. So she isn't going to develop a relationship with her as in canon.
* AdaptationalUgliness: This version of Eclipsa managed to replace her eye with the All-Seeing Eye spell.
* AndIMustScream: While she was imprisoned in the crystal the all-seeing eye spell allowed her to see everything that happened to her family. Including her husbands imprisonment and her daughter being traded out with Festivia.
* AdaptationalBadass: This version of Eclipsa can use magic without a wand. Something her canon counterpart was unable to do.
* AdaptationalVillainy: Her goals are to reclaim her husband and daughter, the magic wand, take back the throne and those who wronged her. In canon Eclipsa only wanted the first two things.
* AffablyEvil: She takes possession of Jackie’s body, but she sets up safety barriers so she won’t fall “off the edge” and lose her consciousness forever. She also makes her mindscape comfortable giving her a computer and other essentials.
* AboveGoodAndEvil: She tells Jackie there is no good or evil, just people living their lives....and she’ll be taking hers back.
* BigBad: Seems to become this after Toffee's defeat and death. She wants to reclaim her power, her family and get revenge for everything that was done to her.
* TheChessMaster: Upon being freed she immediately sought to find Jackie Lynn Thomas to mind control her into getting her wand for her.
* DissonantSerenity: She is very nonchalant when telling Jackie how she replaced one of her eyes. And asks the waiter for more sauce after she nonchalant tells Jackie her revenge plan.
* EyeScream: Replaced one of her eyes with the All-Seeing Eye spell.
* ThenLetMeBeEvil: Her conversation with Jackie hints that seeing what happened to her family has pushed her towards this.
* TimeyWimeyBall: Elizabeth recalls that the Eclipsa from her timeline is very affectionate and looks just like her canon counterpart. So it’s clear that this timeline Eclipsa doesn't follow her own. [[spoiler: Which considering that Glosseryck and the commission are lying about the timeline troubles makes it more obvious things aren't what they appear to be]].
