[[folder: The Dungeon of Delta]]
!! Delta
A young woman from Earth who was given a second life as a dungeon in exchange for her name.
----
* AchievementsInIgnorance: A lot of what Delta manages to accomplish involves things that she didn’t know were possible, her assistant menu (Nu) didn’t know were possible, and even the ''system itself'' didn’t know were possible.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Delta may be goofy and hate hurting people, but she’s still a Dungeon. Push her too far and she’ll start acting like one. [[spoiler: The Spider Queen and Marrow found this out the hard way, and the Fairplay company is learning.]]
* ColorMotif: Orange. Her entire body, clothes and all, are orange. Overlaps with VibrantOrange since she's quite the ManicPixieDreamGirl with her extremely emotive nature and her positive outlook on life.
* CosmicMotifs: In the Pygmy Myconids' religion and the astral plane, Delta is represented by a sun -- a warm, nurturing, and benevolent life-giver.
* CowardlyLion: She's scared of absolutely ''everything'' in her Dungeon, even her monsters. Until she gets so infuriated that she forgets to gibber in terror, then glorious retribution ensues.
* CutenessProximity: She loves squeeing over bees, flowers and fluffy little animals. She's very dismayed by the fact that many of her monsters look more horrifying than adorable.
* EekAMouse: Delta has many things, but bravery in the face of the various horrifying creatures and mushrooms conjured up by her dungeon powers is not one of them. Her initial reaction to most of her creations, like Bob the Abyss Worm, or Clamamity the ChestMonster, is panicked screaming, despite the fact that she's incorporeal and her creations would never attack her anyway.
* EnmityWithAnObject: Delta hates the mushrooms that grow in her dungeon (not the monsters, she loves them) because they grow everywhere without her consent and constantly work their way into the theme of her Dungeon.
* GeniusLoci: Essentially what Delta becomes after her rebirth. She can sense and influence everything within her territory, although she does still have a ghostly body (though most people can't see it).
* IdentityAmnesia: The price Delta paid for a second life was her name. She can't remember her past life, such as her family or her original name. However, she does remember cultural references. [[spoiler:As she's been growing stronger and reconnecting with the others taken from her original world, she's been regaining more memories.]]
* AMotherToHerMen: Her monsters openly call her Mother for her genuine attachment towards them and her reluctance to sacrifice their lives.
* PungeonMaster: As implied by the name of the series, Delta loves her puns. Her monsters' reactions to them are mixed. Nu finds them irritating, but sometimes finds himself slipping up and using them.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: She leaves the micro-managing to Nu while she builds, improves and gushes over her monsters and floors.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Delta's actions have very much derailed the plans originally laid out for her [[spoiler:by the Brother and Sister -- but they're keen to see where she goes instead]].
* RedOniBlueOni: The red to Nu's blue.
* YouAreNumberSix: Her first possible choice of name, which she rejects for the fourth Greek letter, Delta:
--> It was a perfectly round object that pulsed with a tiny light. On that orb, the fainting symbol could be seen.\
''4''\
She shuddered.\
Four?\
This thing was… her?\
She was just a number to that thing. Not the first… definitely not the last.\
[...]\
Ugh… she was going to die here as some orb thing.\
Without a name? No, she needed a name, something to defined herself and used to hold herself together with.\
She pulled something that seemed to float by as she just stared at the orb.\
Delta.\
It was kinda four-ish. It was better than Orby or screaming-wailing-ghost-girl. Definitely better than just ‘victim number four’.

!! Nu
Nu, or MENU (Mana Enchanted Notification Utility), is the menu of the dungeon interface that Delta somehow manages to grant sentience.
----
* ColorMotif: Blue. This is his screen and mana's color, contrasting with Delta's orange and establishing him as more cool-headed.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Downplayed. Nu is often called "Delta's shadow" and certainly is disturbingly eager to spill adventurers' blood and complains about not being more of a proper (i.e. murderous) dungeon, but he's devoted to Delta ad respects her staunch pacifism.
* FunWithAcronyms: His original name MENU (Mana Enchanted Notification Utility).
* HumanityEnsues: Deconstructed, since Nu feels deeply uncomfortable about growing into his own person when he was created as a menu, and is flat-out freaked when he gains a human avatar.
* GrewBeyondTheirProgramming: Originally just a menu that pops up to aid Delta in managing her dungeon. Exposure to Delta grants him sentience.
%% Zero Context Example, please fix before uncommenting * TheLancer
* NotSoAboveItAll: Nu makes a pun, something usually performed by Delta, and immediately regrets it.
* RapidAging: After gaining a human avatar, Nu quickly grows from a child into a teen into a young man.
* RedOniBlueOni: The blue to Delta's red.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: He can build his own monsters after a while, but he's content to sit back and give info and pointers to Delta.
* ServileSnarker: Firmly subordinated to Delta and staunchly devoted to her. He still complains a lot about her pacifism and won't lose the opportunity to laugh when she has a FreakOut or messes up.
* UndyingLoyalty: Nu has made clear that the protection and well-being of Delta is his highest priority.

[[/folder]]
[[folder: First Floor Monsters]]
!! Fran [[spoiler: The Pig Knight]]
The first goblin whom Delta ever created. Technically named Francois, but goes by Fran.

* BloodKnight: [[spoiler: After his rise to first floor boss, Sir]] Fran loves a good fight. He absolutely lives for the challenge. Delta initially wanted to avoid combat whenever possible, but loosens up when she sees how truly happy he is during his first challenging fight.
* ChallengeSeeker: He ''wants'' for his opponents to be skilled and strong, allowing him to grow stronger as he fights them and gains experience.
* FullBoarAction: He climbs the ginormous pig Bacon in order to challenge adventurers.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: [[spoiler:As the first floor boss]], Fran dislikes leaving his room as it's very uncomfortable. But when the third level is under assault by [[spoiler:the remnants of the Silence]], Fran bravely descends in order to duel Captain Levix.

!! Cois
Another goblin technically named Francois, but just goes by Cois.
* ParentalSubstitute: After hatching, Quee imprints on him and insists to call him "papa". Cois is rather grumpy about the whole venture.
* {{Pyromaniac}}: Cois is openly obsessed with fire. It’s one of his defining character traits.
* OneSteveLimit: He shares his name with Fran, but it's easy to differentiate them since they're using nicknames.

!! Billy

!! Numb

!! Mr Mushy [[spoiler: later, Lord Mushy]]

* CuddleBug: Enjoys petting the boar in the Mushroom Groove, embraces Deo to say hello and Delta manages to make him kill a giant spider by telling him to hug it, something he does with gusto.
* KindheartedSimpleton: When first summoned, he's not very bright but very affectionate.
* QuintessentialBritishGentleman: What he ultimately aspires to become.

!! Great Mushy [[spoiler: later, Maestro]]

* TheDiva: His entire personality after gaining the ability to speak. He’s not necessarily arrogant, but he definitely has a high (and justified) opinion of his ability.
* HiddenDepths: Discusses the concept with Kemy who staunchly maintains looks are deceiving, while he points that sometimes, what you see is what you get.
* NightmareFace: Every single one of his evolutions makes him more horrific to look at even as his attitude mellows.
* PlaylistSoundtrack: After becoming [[spoiler:Maestro, he provides the ambient music to Delta’s dungeon.]]
* WorthyOpponent: If you can challenge his [[spoiler:musical]] ability, you instantly become this to him.

!! Fera
The goblin bartender of the Swarthy Hog (after the goblin camp is upgraded to an inn). Doesn't take any nonsense, but has a soft spot for Mother Delta.

* TheBartender: She's gruff yet ready to listen her customer's woes. She's also empowered by other goblins in her inn, to the point that she can armwrestle a troll. If anyone starts trouble, she will finish it.
* ChefOfIron: This is a key part of her character. She was created to man the kitchen and bar when Delta made the Swarthy Hog. She had to be badass enough to kick the other goblins asses and keep them from causing a mess in her bar.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The only female goblin in Delta's dungeon. Quite possibly the only female goblin in the world.
* SupremeChef: She’s in charge of inventing all of the food and mixed drinks in the dungeon. The number of dishes she creates is spectacular and receive much praise. More interesting are the various drinks, both alcoholic and not.
* TripleShifter: She's the bartender of the Swarthy Hog on the First Floor, delivers snacks and popcorn to the circus on the Second Floor and tends to the buffet on the Third Floor. It makes for quite the overload, so she enlists Jeb and several Pygmy Myconids to alleviate the burden.

[[/folder]]
[[folder: Second Floor Monsters]]
!! Rale
* DumbMuscle: He obsesses so much over flexing that he definitely misses social cues, such as Devina's ginormous crush on him.
* LikeAGodToMe: When summoned, his first instinct was to worship Delta as a goddess -- after all, she DID create him and the world he lives in, so...
* NoSocialSkills: A mite too focused on his gym routine to notice what people are thinking of him.

!! Devina
* ClingyJealousGirl: She's pretty unhappy when one adventurer starts flirting with Rale, using her witch doctor powers to splash Estal, trip her with roots and send birds after her.
* WitchDoctor: Her chosen evolution. It allows her to summon and control spirits.

!! Luna
* GracefulLadiesLikePurple: When not in battle mode, Luna dons purple robes embroidered with stars and moons and explicitely describes herself as elegant.
* MeaningfulName: The moon is associated with misdirection, illusions and self-reflection. Luna styles herself a ninja and cares for hot springs allowing a spiritual quest.
* SilkHidingSteel: She looks like an elegant and refined carer for the hotsprings. She's also a ninja who's quite the NightmareFetishist.
* TooManyBelts: Three of them on each arm, plus a sash around her waist when in battle mode. Delta comments on how pointless it is.

!! Giant
* LineOfSightName: He's by far the biggest of the frog tribesmen and decided that was good enough a characteristic for a name.
* TheQuietOne: Definitely a frog of few words. When he ''does'' talk, it's often in single-word sentences.
* SuperStrength: He will rip a tree out of the ground and swing it like a lance if need be.

!! Gramps
* CoolOldGuy: Definitely the physically oldest among the frog tribe, he's also the chieftain, deeply spiritual and able to break someone's head with a single kick.
* GrumpyOldMan: Complains just a tad about his fellow frog tribesmen being a noisy bunch.
* MiniatureSeniorCitizens: The shortest frog tribesman to live on the Second Floor. Also elderly-looking, while his fellows are much younger and taller.

!! Lizzy the Queen Bee

!! Bob

* FluffyTheTerrible: A giant aquatic worm named Bob.

!! The Pigmy myconids
* CuteAndPsycho: Delta finds them positively ''adorable'', courtesy of their diminutive stature and their big doe eyes. They're also ambush predators who delight in luring adventurers to their traps.
* KillerRabbit: A tribe of tiny shroom people. They're also genuinely ruthless and have a bad track record when it comes to ''not'' assaulting people.

!! Wyin
* BloodKnight: Definitely the most bloodthirsty monster to live in Delta's Dungeon. She's rather annoyed by Delta's refusal to gruesomely kill or even maim adventurers.
* WhenTreesAttack: She's the Boss for the Second Floor, and she's also rather psychotic.

[[/folder]]
[[folder: Third Floor Monsters]]
!! Jeb (aka: Jebediah)
* LethalChef: He only can prepare troll soup, and Fera had to kill the result when it attempted to escape the pot. It's later used to wage ''chemical warfare'' against the undead army assaulting the third floor. Jeb is so bad that [[spoiler:when he’s taken on a [[ItMakesSenseInContext dungeon tutoring expedition]], the ''mindless copy'' temporarily left in his place is ''better'' at cooking.]]

!! Gnashly
* BlessedWithSuck: Her troll regeneration won't let her cut her shaggy hair to a more manageable shoulder length. Fortunately, it's easy to fix by tying it in a bun.
* WomenAreWiser: Definitely more articulate than her fellow troll Jeb.

!! Doctor
* MadScientist: Very much enjoys brewing weird and exploding concoctions. Also dressed as a plague doctor for the creepy imagery.
* PlagueDoctor: His appearance -- however, he's more of a MadScientist than a genuine physician.
* NotThatKindOfDoctor: When Jack is injured, Doctor is unable to help him since his interests are more running towards chemistry than healing.

!! Dragon

!! Dozer

!! Vanguard

!! King Jellagon

* FluffyTheTerrible: Starts out as the most peaceful and easy of Delta’s bosses to date [[spoiler:and becoming progressively more dangerous as challengers act with greed or violence on his floor.]]

[[/folder]]
[[folder: Other Monsters]]
Inhabitants of Delta that aren’t assigned to any one floor or don’t fit in the other categories.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Durence]]
The town that near where Delta formed. Just about everyone there is a RetiredBadass, RetiredMonster, or the children of said badasses and monsters.
----
!!General
* TheDreaded: The town elders and several of the inhabitants are this to the rest of the world. It’s been described as a place where the most dangerous people went to be forgotten.
* QuirkyTown: Given that Durence is more or less a retirement home for adventurers and criminals, even the more reasonable citizens of the town have so bizarre eccentricities.
* WorldOfBadass: Specifically, town of badass. Everyone in the town is or is the child of an infamous criminal or retired adventurer.
