[[folder:Space Marines (Blood Ravens)]]
!!Captain Balthazar
->'''Voiced by: Peter de Jersey'''
----
* EyepatchOfPower: One of his eyes seems to have been replaced with an electronic one.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler: He rams the ''Dauntless'' into Acheron's mantle, destroying the planet and weakening the daemon]]
* MissionControl: He has no physical presence in missions because he's stationed about the strike cruiser ''Dauntless'', dispatching support to Gabriel.
* PreMortemCatchphrase: His last words are the Blood Ravens' BadassCreed
--> ''"May none find us wanting."''
* RammingAlwaysWorks: [[spoiler: Rams his strike cruiser into Acheron at Gabriel's order to destroy the planet.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Imperials]]
!!Lady Rebek Solaria

->'''Voiced by: Elizabeth Andrewartha'''

The head of House Varlock, an Imperial Knight House who are the defenders of the planet Cyprus Ultima and who aids the Blood Ravens. She pilots the Imperial Knight "Drakaina".
----
* BadassNormal: A mundane human noble (if you can call a highly-skilled pilot of a four-story war robot "mundane") attached to an army of SuperSoldiers.
* CanonImmigrant: Knights are an addition from ''[=WH40K=]: Epic'' into 6th Edition, which debuted early-middle 2016.
* TheDogBitesBack: After Damien refuses to provide any aid to defend Varlock Keep, she returns the favor by refusing his requests for help later. He tries to threaten her but she points out that his failures mean he will be stripped of any power, so he's only able to convince her to help with the promise of saving Gabriel.
* GatlingGood: Her Knight Titan sports a pair of Avenger Gatling Cannons.
* IOweYouMyLife: She is indebted to Gabriel after he and the Blood Ravens save Valrock Keep from nearly being taken over by Orks and looting their Imperial Knights.
* LadyOfWar: Although It's really easy to keep your air of grace and reserve when your riding an Imperial Knight.
* MiniMecha: In comparison. Knight Titans are the smallest Titan walkers, being only half the size of a department store.
* MoreDakka: Her Imperial Knight has Twin Avenger Gatling Cannons that fire superheated bullets, Heavy Stubbers, and an Ironstorm missile pod.
* NamedAfterSomebodyFamous: Possibly -- her family may be named after the ''Legio Solaria'', who were an all-female Titan Legion active during the events of the ''Literature/HorusHeresy'' and fought on both Beta-Garmon and Terra.
* PreAssKickingOneLiner: Using her abilities tends to come with one:
-->''"I sentence you to ruin!"''\
''"Be ash and cinder forevermore!"''
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The only woman in an army of males.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: [[spoiler:Like many characters, their fate after the cataclysmic destruction of Acheron is unknown, though Macha handwaves it by saying that "some" people managed to escape.]]

!! Inquisitor Damien Holt
->'''Voiced by: Chris Fairbank'''

* {{Foil}}: He's just as obsessed with the Spear of Khaine as Kyre is, but while Kyre is a powerful warlord who actively participates in the battle, Holt is inactive and works solely through others. They even both have to deal with a supposed subordinate undermining their orders to interfere in the conflict on Acheron.
* GeneralFailure: Allows an Imperial Knight House to almost fall to Orks despite being powerful allies, antagonizes the only Space Marines to have come to his aid, insists on an ineffectual blockade of Starforts who are easily breached or circumvented by all factions and ends up [[spoiler:opening the Vault by aiming a orbital beam directly at it in a vain effort to destroy the Eldar and Orks and instead allowing them access to the Spear of Khaine.]]
* InTheHood: Wears one.
* {{Jerkass}}: He treats everyone under his command as expendable pawns and insist they do what he orders without question.
* KickTheDog: He refuses to send reinforcements to the defenders of Varlock Keep as he believes that the imperial forces should focus on the planet Acheron once it appears, and sees sending even the smallest of aid to be a waste of time. Gabriel Angelos and the Blood Ravens won House Varlock's loyalty by ''defying'' him to come and save them regardless, earning Holt's ire. This results in TheDogBitesBack when he arrogantly demands Solaria and House Varlock to aid him despite leaving them to die earlier and they naturally refuse nor are cowed by his empty threats.
* KnightTemplar: All he cares about is the Spear of Khaine, to the point he's willing to let House Varlock be slaughtered and their Knights (an incredibly powerful asset) destroyed rather than divert forces to assist them, even before Acheron appears. Plus as an Inquisitor, being a KnightTemplar is his job.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: [[spoiler:His ordering a bombardment at the Eldar and Orks who were fighting at the entrance of the Spear of Khaine ends up opening it for Kyre's forces and getting the wrath of the Blood Ravens since Gabriel was still there when the bombardment began]].
* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler: He doesn't take it well when both the Blood Ravens and House Varlock refuse to follow his orders and aren't fazed when he threatens to use his authority as an Inquisitor to punish them]].
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: [[spoiler: He's never heard from again after the Blood Ravens and House Varlock completely dismiss his authority.]]

!! Kill-Team Ironmaw
->'''Voiced by: Matt Akesson'''

A Deathwatch kill team in service to the Ordo Xenos. They consist of a Crimson Fist, a Dark Angel, a Blood Angel, an Ultramarine and a Space Wolf who acts as the team's sergeant.
----
* AscendedExtra: The Crimson Fist, a Second Founding Succesor Chapter of the Imperial Fists, have a representative on the kill team while their First Founding Chapter does not.
* InterserviceRivalry: Downplayed, but their Space Wolf sergeant has a few quotes where he takes jabs at a presumably Dark Angel squadmate named Nemiel.
* LargeHam: Quite possibly the hammiest unit in the Space Marine arsenal this time around.
* ServileSnarker: Isn't fond of Inquisitor Holt who he calls a "Parchment Pusher".
* SwirlyEnergyThingy: They're equipped with vortex grenades, which create these on detonation.
* WarpWhistle: Their Teleport Homer ability allows them to teleport back to an orbiting Strike Cruiser to reinforce and be re-deployed.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: [[spoiler:Like many characters, their fate after the cataclysmic destruction of Acheron is unknown, though Macha handwaves it by saying that "some" people managed to escape.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Eldar (Biel-Tan)]]
!! Lord Kyre
->'''Voiced by: Creator/ElliotCowan'''

An Eldar Autarch and leader of the Biel-Tan warhost in search for the Spear of Khaine. He is obsessed in obtaining it, as he believes that wielding its incredible power will allow him to unite the Eldar and re-conquer the galaxy.
----
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: He commands an Eldar warhost and [[spoiler: actually manages to ''best Gorgutz''.]]
* BadBoss: Anyone familiar with Eldar lore knows just how precious their [[SoulJar soul stones]] are to them; they're the only hope an Eldar has for a peaceful afterlife, [[DueToTheDead and most go to great pains to retrieve the stones of fallen warriors]]. Kyre, on the other hand, abandons the souls of his dead troops to rot on the battlefield.
* BigBadEnsemble: He, along with Gorgutz, provide the main threats for most of the game in their search for the Spear of Khaine.
* BlowYouAway: His sword can control the wind to create cyclones.
* CoolSword: It's never properly shown in the campaign, but he wields a sword with the ability to summon whirlwinds.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: [[spoiler: His obsession to attain the Spear of Khaine becomes his downfall when the Spear sacrifices him to awaken the Daemon of Acheron]].
* ItsAllAboutMe: Oh boy, is he self-obsessed. He is so obsessed with the prophecy that he will be the one to unite the Eldar and rebuild their Empire that he refuses to listen to Macha's wisdom when she suspects the prophecy might be wrong. He practically rejoices at the sight of several hundred Eldar being immolated or cast into an abyss (and subsequently damned) if only because it inadvertently provided a shortcut to the artifact he was gunning for.
* {{Flight}}: Part of his equipment is a pair of wings from the Swooping Hawk Aspect, allowing Kyre to fly.
* KnightTemplar: Ronahn describes him as a zealot and it's not hard to see why. Kyre's utter obsession with the prophecy causes him to be blind to reason, [[spoiler: even when Macha shows him the daemon trapped within Acheron]].
* LaserGuidedKarma: [[spoiler: He was willing to let dozens if not hundreds of Eldar die just so he could get his hands on the Spear of Khaine. The moment he does, it promptly kills him in hideous fashion to release the Storm Prince.]]
* OhCrap: [[spoiler: When he obtains the Spear of Khaine and lunges towards Gorgutz to deliver the killing blow, he is utterly shocked when the Spear's tip shatters upon contact and gives a look of absolute horror as the Daemon consumes him.]]
* LastSecondChance: When Macha rebels against him, Kyre makes several attempts to get her to surrender. When she makes it clear that she will not back down, he orders his troops to kill her.
* VillainousFriendship: He seems to share one with Valador, as the Wraithlord calls him his friend. When he learns of Valador's defeat he sounds saddened by the news and angrily swears that he will take vengeance upon the Orks.
* TheUntwist: You would think that his fanaticism and complete indifference towards his warrior's lives [[DueToTheDead and souls]] would hint at some Chaos Corruption or Dark Eldar connections. But nope, he's a normal Craftworld Eldar who's just that Narcissistic.
* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler: He was used by Chaos and the Necrons to awaken the Daemon sealed in Acheron]].

!! Jain Zar
->'''Voiced by: Emma Fielding'''

The Phoenix Lord of the Howling Banshees. Jain Zar is one of the most fabled Eldar in recent times. Born amidst the Fall of the Eldar, much of her early years were spent roaming the galaxy in search of survivors. She found one such evacuee and saved him from certain death. This survivor became known as Asurmen, the first of the Phoenix Lords. Among others, Asurmen mentored Jain Zar. In time, she herself became a Phoenix Lord and roamed the stars, building Howling Banshee shrines among the Craftworlds of her people.

When a Phoenix Lord dies, their mightiest Exarch steps into their armour. Doing so infuses their spirit within the armour’s spirit stone. This process reincarnates Jain Zar, consuming the soul of the Exarch who brought her back. In essence, Jain Zar has lived many times over, and the whisperings that she is emerging once more have proven to be true.
----
* AdaptationDyeJob: Her hair color is officially black, yet in this game it's red.
* CanonImmigrant: Inverted, as she is a character taken from the tabletop rather than an original character created by Relic.
* PrecisionGuidedBoomerang: Her triskele Jainas Mor[[labelnote:Translation]]Silent Death[[/labelnote]], a warp-forged three-bladed throwing weapon, which can be thrown at enemies and returns to her like a boomerang.
* WhatTheHellHero: [[spoiler:Macha calls out on Jain Zar that had she just use her reputation as a Phoenix Lord to force Kyre and his warhost to stop pursuing the Spear of Khaine due its dubious origins, the Daemon of Acheron would not be awakened and a lot of lives would have been saved from needless conflict]]. She justifies her inaction by stating that if she were to solve all their problems, then they will never reach their full potential, and she needs the Eldar to be stronger in these dark times.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: [[spoiler:Like many characters, their fate after the cataclysmic destruction of Acheron is unknown, though Macha handwaves it by saying that "some" people managed to escape.]]

!! Wraithlord Valador
->'''Voiced by: Clive Wood'''

* {{BFS}}: As typical of a Wraithlord, he wields a massive Ghostglaive.
* TheDragon: He's Kyre's greatest and most trusted warrior, and his death is when Kyre realizes how much he underestimated the Orks.
* FateWorseThanDeath: After his defeat by Gorgutz and his horde, Ronahn confirms that not only was Valador's body destroyed but his soulstone as well, thus condemning his soul to Slaanesh.
* VillainousFriendship: He appeared to have one with Kyre, calling him his friend and sounding distraught as he's dying at having failed him. Kyre even sound saddened by the news of his demise.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Orks (Bad Moons)]]
!! Warboss Gitstompa
->'''Voiced by: Sebastian Abineri'''
A local warboss of Cyprus whom Gorgutz [[TheStarscream "pledges"]] his allegiance to...
----
* AttackAttackAttack: His main tactic is to just throw hordes of Boyz at the enemy and overwhelm them through sheer numbers, contrasting the more pragmatic and cunning Gorgutz.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Gitstompa asks Gorgutz to build him a cannon. He gets one, alright... that blows up in his face and weakens him enough for the Eldar to finish him off.
* BigBadWannabe: He's nowhere near the strategist or tactician Gorgutz is, and doesn't realize until the last minute that Gorgutz was only using him to usurp command of his WAAAGH!.
* CultureBlind: Gitstompa recruits the obviously bigger Gorgutz as one of his enforcers, and doesn't expect Gorgutz to attempt to [[KlingonPromotion kill him and take his place]].
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: As a Warboss, he's utterly incompetent and only gets as far as he does because of Gorgutz. As an Ork, he still puts up one hell of a fight against the Eldar.
* FlunkyBoss: He calls down squads of Boyz to assist him in his LastVillainStand.
* NeverMyFault: He's quick to dump the blame on Gorgutz for his failed tactics in taking Varlock Keep, saying that he deserves to do all of the work.
* LastVillainStand: After Gorgutz's cannon blows up in his face, Gitstompa decides to make engage the Eldar himself in a final battle to the death.
* UngratefulBastard: After Gorgutz salvages his botched assault and allows him to take Varlock Keep, Gitstompa starts bragging about how ''he'' won. When Gorgutz reminds him that he was the one did all the real work, Gitstompa just retorts that Gorgutz ''deserves'' to work.

!! Zappnoggin
->'''Voiced by: Andy Linden'''
A Weirdboy who Gorgutz recruits as one of his enforcers after offing Gitstompa.
----
* AxeCrazy: Surprisingly averted for a weirdboy, as he sounds quite calm and collected for an Ork psyker whose unstable powers can make not only make him insane (for an Ork) but can also cause his head to explode.
* CoDragons: After Gorgutz defeats him in battle, he becomes one of his enforcers alongside Wazmakka.
* DeathByAdaptation: [[spoiler:The novelization has him killed in the finale, his head exploded by the Daemon's power.]]
* MyBrainIsBig: As a result of his powers, his brain swells to such an abnormal size that the top of his skull has to be removed to relieve the pain (this process is common for weirdboyz).
* RocketPunch: The Fist of Gork ability, where he can use scrap to form a giant fist that can be launched towards enemy units (collecting more scrap increases damage).
* {{Teleportation}}: One of his abilities is to teleport to a targeted location, in which he can also deal [=AoE=] damage. He can also teleport allied units with him.
* UncertainDoom: [[spoiler:Like many characters, his fate after the cataclysmic destruction of Acheron is unknown, though Macha handwaves it by saying that "some" people managed to escape.]]

!! Wazmakka
->'''Voiced by: Dominic Power'''
A Big Mek who Gorgutz recruits as one of his enforcers after offing Gitstompa.
----
* CoDragons: He and Zappnoggin become Gorgutz's enforcers after he defeats them in battle.
* DirtyCoward: Noted as such by Gorgutz, and Wazzmakka quickly submits to him after losing the fight.
* EvilGenius: Serves as such for the Ork faction, and is responsible for making the Rok Bombardment possible with his designs.
* TheFaceless: He hides behind a welding mask but apparently has a handsome (according to him) face behind it.
* HumongousMecha: His pride and joy: the Morkanaut, Big Beauty.
* InformedAttribute: Wazmakka makes a lot of noise about good he looks, but since he wears a bulky welding mask at all times, the player won't be able to see for themselves.
* {{Narcissist}}: He considers himself to be the handsomest and smartest Ork in existence, and expects everyone else to agree. One of the reasons he folds to Gorgutz is that he doesn't want his face damaged.
* UncertainDoom: [[spoiler:Like many characters, his fate after the cataclysmic destruction of Acheron is unknown, though Macha handwaves it by saying that "some" people managed to escape.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Spoiler Character]]
!! The Storm Prince

The true power behind the conflict on Acheron, the Storm Prince was trapped there by a mixture of Eldar and Necron measures. In order to gain the power to break free, it created the myth of the Spear of Khaine, luring many to their deaths on the wandering world and drinking in the blood they shed in the process. The conflict between Gabriel, Macha and Gorgutz's forces finally gives the daemon the strength to break free, forcing an alliance of the three to defeat and slay it.
----
* BatmanGambit: In a surprisingly cunning move for a Daemon of Khorne, the Prince made the legend of the Spear of Khaine, knowing it would be such SchmuckBait that warriors would come to Acheron and slaughter one another for it.
* BigBad: The conflict on Acheron happens because of the Storm Prince.
* BigRedDevil: A Bloodthirster of Khorne.
* BrokenAngel: Its wings are incredibly ragged in a way reminiscent of Skarbrand from the lore.
* {{Expy}}: It's the Daemon of the Maledictum 2.0. Gabriel even notes that the last time he didn't listen to Macha, bad things happened.
** As noted above under BrokenAngel, The Storm Prince design wise looks quite much like Skarbrand, and the similarities go beyond just wings - for example, the Storm Prince also has almost identically looking horns, and the skull-like face that Skarbrand has.
* EldritchAbomination: As to be expected of a Bloodthirster, a Greater Daemon of Chaos.
* FinalBoss: It's the last enemy faced in the campaign.
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: The Storm Prince has no speaking lines and no real personality, making it come across as more a mindless beast than a character in its own right.
* NoCureForEvil: Subverted. A big part of the final level is a fountain of blood that heals the daemon, forcing Gabriel, Macha and Gorgutz to destroy the fountain before killing the Storm Prince.
* OmnicidalManiac: It was planning to wipe out ''the entire galaxy'' before meeting it's demise.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: After being awakened, it becomes a matter of time to kill the shit out of the beast before it puts the ''entire galaxy'' to the torch.
* WalkingSpoiler: Suffice to say, knowing anything more about it than the name spoken in the prophecy is a colossal spoiler for the final missions.
* YourSizeMayVary: Its size as an actual unit and its size while frozen in the ice of Acheron don't quite match up, to say the least. To elaborate: When we see it's frozen body, it looks to be the size of a Battle-Titan, but after Acheron's destruction it looks to be the of similar height as a Super Unit. It could be justified by the daemon being weakened by Acheron's destruction when Gabriel, Macha and Gorgutz fight it.
