The Brawl Spectator Society is run by President Dedede, whose job is to maintain order while the tournament is going on. However, the group is seldom taken seriously by the main characters due to Dedede often slacking in his duties, with the rest of the group not much better, even if they are more professional than said President.

!General
* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: These guys get absolutely no respect for what they do, despite being the only semblance of a government in Brawl. It's easy to see why just by looking at them: their president doesn't even try to hide that he's a selfish FatBastard who abuses his privileges often, his two right-hand men are [[SmarmyHost smarmy hosts]] at best, and the only one who even tries to do his job well is Pit, whose NervousWreck personality makes him obnoxious at times. In spite of this, the group has shown that they are capable of governing the world of Brawl, and their initial impressions are not as bad as one would think.
* CombatCommentator: Fox and Falco share this role during Exhibition Matches.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: On the outside, the group looks like your average corrupt government that couldn't care less about what's going on, so long as they're entertained, and everything goes according to plan. But when things turn dire, the entire group shows that they are more than capable of getting a handle on things, and genuinely cares about the security of the world they govern.
* EmbarrassingNickname: Their name is often shortened to "The B.S. Society". The only one that seems oblivious to the meaning behind this name is Fox, who sometimes even uses it himself.
* FreudianTrio: Although they fit the three roles a little loosely, Fox, Falco and Pit represent them very well. Fox is the Id, Falco is the Superego, and Pit is the Ego.
* InSeriesNickname: The Brawl Spectator Society is referred to as the "B.S. Society" both for convenience sake, and to emphasize that nobody takes them seriously.
* KentBrockmanNews: They occasionally report on important events going on in the world of Brawl.
* LetsGetDangerous: The second Bowser is forcibly brainwashed and transformed into Giga Bowser, all four members stop messing around and do everything in their power to get the situation under control, and to determine what should be done with Bowser and Ganondorf going forward. Dedede in particular shows off exactly ''why'' he became President in spite of seeming like an UpperClassTwit.

[[caption-width-right:300:"They're gonna make me a fortune, I say, a fortune that is! Plus I like 'em."]]

The head of the Brawl Spectator society and thus the man in charge of the world government. Dedede hosts the Brawl Tournament, having his men oversee its operations while he makes a profit from wagers. A womanizing MrViceGuy usually played for comic relief, there's more to him though than the first glance would suggest... if only by so much.
----
* AdaptationalJobChange: Dedede is a president in this series, rather than a king. Though given that he's the sole authority figure within the B.S. Society, it's mostly a DistinctionWithoutADifference.
* BackToBackBadasses: With Mario against Ganondorf in Episode 13.
* BadSanta: In the Winter Festival filler.
* BigEater: One of the pleasures that he abuses while President is being able to eat anything and everything he wants.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Though he'd rather wallow in his spoils, Dedede is a more skilled combatant than he lets on. Peach suspects it may be why he's president in the first place, and her suspicions are confirmed once Dedede reveals that [[spoiler: he is a member of the Creator's Triune, alongside Bowser and Ganon.]]
* ChivalrousPervert: Dedede makes zero effort to hide his womanizing behavior, going so far as to move in on Peach in Episode 8. But after a brief scuffle with her, Dedede drops the flirty attitude towards her, and gives her some genuinely important notes about her unfair behavior towards Bowser, and how important her teammates are to achieve her goals.
* DemotedToExtra: While Dedede is still President in ''Smash King HD'', Palutena acting as a "First Lady," Dedede's lavish lifestyle comes to an end, causing him to hang out with Bowser and his friends more often.
* EveryoneHasStandards:
** While Dedede admits that his favoring of Team Bowser is partially due to monetary interests, he takes offense at Ganondorf making a NotSoDifferentRemark about themselves.
** Also, while Dedede may have respect for the Creator due to him being responsible for granting him his Presidential position, he does ''not'' approve of Samus and her mercenary group going behind his back and trying to abduct Bowser in his name. Dedede flat-out declares that he will hunt down and capture all of them if the group tries a stunt like that again, unless the Creator himself comes to speak with him.
* FatBastard
* HiddenDepths: He's very insightful when it comes to the matches, more so than others. Especially when it comes to Bowser, whom he shows blatant favoritism over the other fighters.
* {{Hypocrite}}: His selfish attitude is one of the many reasons his organization is "lovingly" reffered to as the B.S. Society.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: While he mostly cares about nobody but himself, Dedede is shown to genuinely care about Team Bowser, and what Ganondorf and the Creator are up to.
* ALadyOnEachArm: First introduced this way with two Zero Suits.
* LargeAndInCharge: The rotund president ruler of Brawl.
* MrViceGuy: As Peach put it, he's a pig in every sense of the word while he's running the tournament. Yet, when Ganondorf stages his attack on Hotel Bowser, Dedede is quick to spring into action to stop him.
* PowerTrio: [[spoiler:A member of the Creator's Triune, actually taking the position formerly held by Mewtwo.]]
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Zig-zagged. While Dedede is shown to be OnlyInItForTheMoney in the first few episodes of the series, he grows from being a selfish pig with access to all the food and women he could ever want, to a responsible president of the world of Brawl, who makes good decisions to benefit everyone quickly. [[spoiler:And while his deal with Ganondorf seems bad at first (especially with the latter using Ridley as leverage), it's ultimately made for the greater good and for Bowser to have a fighting chance.]]
* TheRival: Briefly sees himself as one to Wario during Episode 5. It's PlayedForLaughs of course, since they're fighting for Samus's affection.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething:
** Dedede comforts Peach after Bowser curbstomps Team Kong, while still giving her some important lessons about why her reaction to being saved from him was unfair.
** He participates in the battle against Ganondorf at Hotel Bowser after he finds out what's going on, even teaming up alongside Mario to do so.
** In Episode 15, he takes it upon himself to hold Bowser within the B.S. Society for at least 24 hours until he decides what will happen to him. ''Then'', he openly threatens Snake and his crew in the form of a ReasonYouSuckSpeech, telling them that if they, or the creator don't show up, Dedede himself will hunt all three of them down. That takes a lot of guts, especially since Dedede is technically standing up against his own ''god'' in order to do what's right.
* SouthernGentleman: Dedede speaks with a vaguely Southern accent, inspired by the dub of ''Anime/KirbyRightBackAtYa'' and while having a few unpleasant traits, is a genuinely good person who steps up to his role when things turn dire.

!!Fox
->'''Voiced by:''' [=SilverKnux=]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/foxclearnew.png]]
[[caption-width-right:300:"I'm going to observe."]]

A member of the Brawl Spectator Society and formerly the Top Fighter of Melee. Fox serves under President Dedede to manage the Smash King Tournament's operations, as well as commentating on the matches themselves with Falco. A perceptive individual and good judge of character, Fox will follow his instincts when he senses something amiss, even if it means going behind the B.S. Society's back to do it.
----
* BloodKnight: A subtler, heroic example. Fox loves watching or being part of a good fight. During the remake of the Meta Knight vs. Toon Link fight, he was so excited he could barely talk. He's also willing to battle Lizardon to get a share of food in the remake of Episode 5.
* CharacterCatchphrase: "I'm fired up!" and any such variant.
* CombatCommentator: His main role in the Smash King matches alongside Falco.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Doesn't get the big deal (That is, the context) over the abbreviation of their organization's name.
* CowboyCop: Compared to Falco or Pit, Fox is more than willing to go off script to investigate things that personally bother him. In Episode 9, he decides to break into Team Ganon's base because he correctly suspects that something is up with them, forcing Pit to cover for him back at headquarters.
* EveryoneHasStandards: While Fox enjoys commentating and getting invested in the Smash Tourney's huge events, he does get genuinely concerned about how overpowered Bowser's Ascent Mode is, even as Falco and Dedede are telling him not to worry.
* EyesNeverLie: [[spoiler:Advises Lucario to ignore his AuraVision and instead look at Bowser's eyes to judge his honesty like he does, since he believes eyes are the windows of the soul.]]
* HotBlooded: He's pretty relaxed most of the time, but Fox is quick to get fired up.
* ItsAllMyFault: [[spoiler:He blames himself for Bowser's incarceration in Episode 15, where he led Lucario to Bowser's home, attacked him, and then got Ganondorf involved, which led to the bigger conflict that sees the Creator's Mercenaries attacking him. Had he not decided to go out on his own to break into Team Ganon's base or even bring Lucario to Bowser's house, then Bowser wouldn't have been forced to be under the BS Society's custody.]]
* NotSoStoic: He's visibly nervous when Bowser complains about his role in helping Mewtwo attack him and Lizardon, and actually ''runs away in fear'' after he demands more drumsticks. After getting away from Bowser's cell, he lampshades this trope.
* RedOniBlueOni: The Red to Falco's Blue.
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: He's among the few characters who can understand Lizardon naturally, due to him also being a fox.
* TankGoodness: His Final Smash, the Landmaster.
* TheMcCoy: Compared to Falco, is easily more excitable concerning matches, while also trying to be fair and spot the positives of fights. Outside of matches, he also goes out of his way to infiltrate Ganondorf's base of operations due to being justifiably nervous of Team Ganon's plans and Bowser's Ascent Mode.

[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/falcoclearnew.png]]
[[caption-width-right:300:Really Fox? You ''really'' don't see why I hate the name?"]]

A member of the Brawl Spectator Society and high ranked tier fighter in Melee. Falco works alongside Fox as Spectator for the Smash King Tournament. He is a bit more level-headed than Fox, and is quite annoyed of Dedede's antics that further cement their name of The B.S. Society.
----
* BrooklynRage: Subtle, but a vaguely Brooklyn accent is there, though he a lot less hot-headed than Fox.
* BigDamnHeroes: After running around trying to track Fox for a good chunk of Act II, he and Pit are among the first to swoop in to help keep Giga Bowser at bay in Hotel Bowser.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Falco calls out Ganondorf for waltzing into the BS Society's headquarters to speak with President Dedede after the events of Hotel Bowser / Norfair. He's further unnerved that Dedede was actually ''expecting'' him, and trying to deal with him.
* IdiotBall: In "Fox's News", Falco somehow gets the idea that emptying the "ammunition" of the faulty Cracker Launcher Ivysaur created before getting rid of it. Despite Pit and Fox's protests, Falco ends up shooting out both Captain Falcon and Popo out of the Launcher.
-->'''Falco:''' ...I'm beginning to see a pattern.
* GotMeDoingIt: He ends up referring the Brawl Spectator Society as the "B.S. Society" during live commentary, which he laments that he let slip once his microphone is off.
* GuileHero: Tricked Pit into letting slip that Fox had left without notifying him first, a clue that something was up.
* TheLancer: Acts like this towards Fox and the Society as a whole.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Despite generally being more serious than Fox, even he can't help poking fun of Pit's overly emotional personality. He also is clearly enjoying himself at Bowser's house party in Episode 5.
* NotSoStoic: He showed quite a loving and relaxed interest to Peach's Final Smash, and was seen panting on the ground after Bowser's epic fight.
* OutOfFocus: Falco generally doesn't get as much focus as his fellow BS Society members, often being relegated to the background of events or serving his CombatCommentator role.
* RedOniBlueOni: Blue to Fox's Red.
* TheSpock: He's calmer and a bit more practical at spectating, and tends to criticize flaws in others fighting attacks, or in the case of Bowser vs Pikachu, point out how easily Pikachu could win.
* TheStoic: Relatively cool and collected compared to Fox and Pit.
* VocalEvolution: Falco originally had a strong Brooklyn accent in the beginning of the series. Starting in Episode 14 however, the accent has been toned down a bit.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Pit]]
!!Pit
->'''Voiced by:''' [=Yashanyu1=]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pitclearnew.png]]
[[caption-width-right:300:"You're fouling up ''everything'', you fool!"]]

The third member of the Society, Pit is the referee for the Smash King tournament and various exposition matches. A complete by-the-books stickler, Pit is easily flustered when something goes awry.
----
* AbledInTheAdaptation: Most incarnations of Pit have his power of flight limited to what Palutena provides him, or with what he can manage on his own. In ''Smash King'', Pit appears to be able to fly freely all across Brawl without any effort.
* BadLiar: When forced to cover up for Fox's disappearance in Episode 9, he acts very erratically and emotionally when talking to Falco. In spite of this, he almost manages to fool him in thinking nothing's wrong, until he accidentally lets it slip that Fox went out.
* ButtMonkey: Of the B.S. Society, where he's occasionally on the end of a joke and his overzealous lawful attitude gets him no respect from the cast.
* ByTheBookCop: Pit follows President Dedede's orders very strictly, in contrast to Fox and Falco.
* CombatReferee: He serves this role whenever an exhibition match is being held. He also patrols the world of Brawl to make sure no one is breaking any rules.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In the older versions of some early episodes, Pit appeared as a more confident and disciplined enforcer of the tourney's laws, as opposed to the jumpy NervousWreck personality he would gain later on.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: While not exactly a moron, Pit shows some traits of TheDitz on occasion. Doesn't stop him from fighting when the situation calls for it, however.
* GoldAndWhiteAreDivine: His regular clothes outside of his uniform.
* {{Flight}}: An interesting case, since he's not reliant on Palutena for it, see AbledInTheAdaptation above.
* HiddenDepths: Although Pit tries to remain as apolitical as possible when it comes to the Smash King tourney, he does admit to liking Team Sonic the most in Episode 9, [[ScrewTheMoneyIHaveRules although not enough to try to rig tournament results in favor of them]].
* TheKirk: Works well mediating with Fox's energy and Falco's reservedness. Fitting in that he's also a referee. That being said, he does have shades of being TheMcCoy, due to his high-strung and emotional personality.
* MistakenForGay: By Falco, pointing out how devoted he is to Fox.
* NervousWreck: The abuse he's gone through in his career has gotten to him so badly he's on a prescription for it on orders from Dr. Mario.
%%* NoSenseOfHumor:
* RulesLawyer: A major stickler for the rules.
* SecretKeeper: Was asked to keep Fox's leaving under wraps. It didn't last long against Falco.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Fox of all people. Even if it goes against his beliefs, Pit will do what he can to help Fox.
** Also to Palutena in the Fourth World, much to Dedede's chagrin.
