6	* Marty's bong can actually be compressed to resemble a simple coffee mug to bypass cops. A very small example, but it's pretty cool.
7	* How Marty survives. He hacks apart the zombie with a trowel. Yes, it may have been offscreen, but still! What is on screen, though, is his heroic return in saving Dana from the redneck zombie, coming out of nowhere with the giant bong as an ImprovisedWeapon as triumphant music plays.
8	* The Japanese schoolgirls exorcise the spirit attacking them and turn it into a happy little frog. Not a single one of them dies. They're all ''nine''. And ''every'' other ritual ends in failure. Most of those failures apparently involve less PowerOfFriendship and more exploded buildings. This one, though, also doubles as a [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments heartwarming moment]]. Well, [[MoodWhiplash until]] Sitterson starts [[ClusterFBomb cussing]] at them. A shame that the ending ruins their accomplishment.

10	** Think of any monster you have seen in a horror movie. [[AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever Giant]] [[ReptilesAreAbhorrent snakes]], [[OurWerewolvesAreDifferent werewolves]], [[OurGhostsAreDifferent ghosts]], [[OurZombiesAreDifferent zombies]], {{Giant Spider}}s, [[MonsterClown killer clowns]] and so forth (even [[{{Unicorn}} killer unicorns]]!). Now imagine them all onscreen at the same time. This is one of those instances where nightmare fuel also doubles as an awesome.
11	** At first glance, pressing the "System Purge" button seems like a stupid idea since it would release ''all'' the monsters, but Dana and Marty manage to remain hidden and not get caught by any of them. In fact, amidst the chaos, they get much farther after pressing it, so activating it might have prevented their lives from being cut short at the control panel. It might have been one of the smartest moves in a horror film, ''period''.

13	** Hell, just the fact that Film/TheCrawlingHand -- ''[[SoBadItsGood of all friggin' things]]'' -- gets the first kill in the facility.
14	** While most of the Facility staff die fairly easily, not all the soldiers do. While they do of course die, when the Purge begins, the first group of soldiers react ''immediately'' and are shown to have hit some of the monsters. Truman even manages to pull a TakingYouWithMe ''while being torn apart''.
15	** The brief cameo in the cells of the Special Zombies from ''VideoGame/Left4Dead''. We don't see them in action, but how cool is it just that they're in the film at all?
16	** Homage to ''Film/TheShining'' -- the two dead girls, who appear in one of the elevator cells of horror. "Come play with us... forever and ever and ever..." As well as one elevator just spewing blood.
17	%%** And beyond the stock horror movie monsters, there are several different and creative creatures, each of which could have been a fascinating horror movie star in its own right. (Administrivia/ZeroContextExample; like what, specifically?)
