* Everytime George Bailey delivers a ShutUpHannibal to Mr. Potter (including the very first time, when he was still a kid). Mr. Potter always starts out being all {{smug|Snake}} and [[BreakThemByTalking trying to break George]] (and some others) with his words, [[{{Deconstruction}} deconstructing]] George's motives for fighting him and losing every time.
** Mr. Potter does manage to [[IronicEcho throw all of George's words back in his face]] as a buildup to the "You're worth more dead than alive!" Despite this being [[MoralEventHorizon his most evil moment in the film]], that is actually quite impressive.
* It's a small one that requires a [[FreezeFrameBonus real eagle ear]], but it's worth hearing. When young George comes to his father for advice, he accidentally happens upon a meeting between him and Mr. Potter. Mr. Bailey tries to argue that Potter could make use of his vast wealth, only for [[EvilCannotComprehendGood Potter]] to call him a failure. Young George calls out Potter on his callousness and tells his father [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre not to let Potter walk all over him]]. After Mr. Bailey gently tells his son to go home, what does he do the minute he goes into back into the meeting? Apologize for his son's outburst? ''Heck no!'' If you listen carefully, you can hear him chide "'''Mr. Potter, you humiliated me in front of my son'''!" That's not nothing! That's a [[PapaWolf proud father]] defending his brave son's honor as he talks down the richest and [[TheDreaded cruelest]] man in Bedford Falls! Even though George virtually had no right to interrupt the meeting, he took his son's advice to heart: he stood up for his boy and [[CatharsisFactor rightfully]] chastised Mr. Potter for impugning his worth.
* Potter's real estate agent gives him a ''very'' pointed ShutUpHannibal line after warning him of the success of George's 'Bailey Park' project and getting sneered at:
-->'''Real Estate Agent:''' "As I say, it's no skin off my nose. But one of these days, this bright young man is going to be asking ''George Bailey'' for a job."
* A minor example, but the sole fact that Clarence [[{{Determinator}} continuedly tried to earn his wings for]] ''200 years'' definitely deserves a mention on here. Most people would give up after less than ''one'' year, but not Clarence.
* How Clarence saves George from jumping in the river to drown himself; he jumps in and starts screaming for help. George's ChronicHeroSyndrome takes over, and he dives in to save a random passerby. Clarence is quite pleased.
* Mary and Billy's OffscreenMomentOfAwesome where they rally and encourage the people of Bedford Falls who were positively influenced George by him to help George pay his due $8000.
* As horrifying as it ended up being, Clarence's plan to make it as if George was never born is pretty cool. It starts out as a moment where it looks like it'll be nigh impossible to complete his task and earn his wings, and then he manages to pull it off by [[BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor using George's own words against him]].
** Within the timeline, when Bert and Ernie try to take in George due to him seeming to have a nervous breakdown, Clarence bites down on Bert's gun hand and shouts at George to run. He then vanishes when Bert overpowers him.
* Harry Bailey really earned that Congressional Medal of Honor, saving a ship from kamikaze pilots.
* Sam Wainwright cables that his office is instructed to wire George up to $25,000 if he asks for it. Adjust that for inflation, today that'd be a third of a million dollars! No strings attached, no contracts to be signed, Sam trusts that George will use it wisely and pay it back.
** A bit humbler, but no less awesome for the other residents of Bedford Falls. Not everyone is as affluent as Sam Wainwright- lots of the people donating at the end are the people who've been struggling to pay their mortgages and get through the week, but still scrape together enough money to get George out of trouble because they know he would do it for them, no questions asked.
* Uncle Billy's actor Thomas Mitchell earns a place on this page with his "I'm all right, I'm aaallll right!" [[ThrowItIn ad-lib]].
* [[https://puterboy1.tumblr.com/post/189861548121/pages-from-the-script-of-its-a-wonderful-life A deleted scene has Clarence, ignoring his instructions to return to Heaven once he was done with George, paying Mr. Potter a visit in his office and giving the man his just desserts]]:
-->'''Clarence:''' You're an old man, Henry Potter; bitter, selfish and lonely. You're going to die soon - then what? Can you think of anyone in the world - man, woman, child or animal that would care? [[ArmorPiercingQuestion Think hard, Potter, are you the richest man around here, or the poorest?]]
* Mary has such faith in George that she buys the Granville House, while George is saving the Building and Loan. She not only gets the House (somewhat) ready for them to move into, but gets Bert and Ernie to make it into the "Bridal Suite," complete with two chickens roasting over the fireplace for their dinner. She just knew that George would come through the crisis.
* Blink and you'll miss it, but Harry Bailey charters a flight home ''in a blizzard'' the moment he hears George is in trouble, just to be there. He visibly thinks his big brother personally hung the stars.
-->"To my big brother George--the richest man in town!"
