* Their surprising appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2006, playing for the first time in the now-iconic glowing pyramid, heralded by ''Film/CloseEncountersOfTheThirdKind'' chimes.
* Their surprise appearance at the 2008 Grammys during Music/KanyeWest's performance of "Stronger". The album version of the song uses samples of "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" from ''Music/DiscoveryDaftPunkAlbum''; in the Grammy show, Daft Punk themselves appeared and performed that part of the song live. This was the ''first time'' '''ever''' Daft Punk had appeared live on television (they'd been on TV before, but always pre-recorded).
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gHisR4xmOk&ab_channel=SamiIbrahim Everything about that appearance, really.]] As Kanye ends his section of the verse, the pyramid opens up to reveal Daft Punk behind it, working the sound system and remixing it live. They're even met with encouragement by Kanye (you can hear him going "Yeah, yeah, yeah!" in the background). And after that, the music is pure bliss.
* After many years of {{award snub}}s, Daft Punk gets nominated for 5 Grammys for the 56th Grammys, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year, and winning ALL of them.
** Their second live televised performance ever was beside Music/StevieWonder, blending "Get Lucky" with a number of other memorable songs. They essentially turned the Grammys into an enormous dance party, with literally everyone in the audience on their feet.
** That "everyone" including legends like Music/PaulMcCartney, Music/RingoStarr, and Music/YokoOno!
* Appearing pretty much [[AsHimself As Themselves]] in ''Film/TronLegacy'' and turning into a OneSceneWonder. According to the Creator/{{Disney}} executives, they not only showed up to the meeting in their robot suits, but spent the meeting (over pancakes) asking ''them'' all kinds of questions about the movie to see if it would be "done right".
* Getting Creator/LeijiMatsumoto ''out of retirement'' to not just animate some music videos, but an entire album as a silent film. The end result, ''Anime/Interstella5555'', is distilled awesome.
* According to Music/KanyeWest, while he feels that his song "Stronger" is a great song, it does not compare to the sampled "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". Considering the well-known ego of the person who's saying that, that's saying a ''lot''.
* ''A cappella'' group Music/{{Pentatonix}} scored one of their biggest hits on Website/YouTube with their awesome [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MteSlpxCpo Daft Punk medley]].
* On the 22nd of February 2022, the 1st anniversary of their separation, the previously-inactive social media accounts of the duo began posting enigmatic imagery from their first album and tour. This turned to be an announcement for a 25th anniversary edition of said album, which was backed by a surprise twitch stream of an LA performance from the Daftendirekt tour. This tour had not only never gotten an official video release, it was the last time the duo performed live helmet-less. To say fans were overjoyed would be an understatement.
