2	Premiering on April 6, 2003 on Creator/TVTokyo, ''Nyo!'' acts as a ContinuityReboot for the [[Anime/DiGiCharat franchise]]. While there are still some familiar elements, the show is more aimed at children as opposed to the franchise's usual otaku demographic with no references to the franchise's roots whatsoever. Elements from the previous series, ''[[Anime/PanyoPanyoDiGiCharat Panyo Panyo]]'', were also used in order to expand the backstories of Dejiko, Gema, and Puchiko.

4	Dejiko is still the princess of Planet Di Gi Charat who is heading for Earth with her friends Puchiko and Gema, however, she is specifically going to learn how to train to be a better princess. She ends up crash-landing on the planet, and now stranded takes refuge with the Omocha brothers in their toy store, while Puchiko goes to live with a married couple who run a bakery. While it may be a different series, Dejiko still gets into her usual antics; getting into conflict with her rival Rabi~en~Rose, evading the schemes of the Black Gema Gema Gang, and doing her best to become famous.

6	''Nyo!'' followed a two shorts format with each one being roughly around 11 minutes, and the show would ultimately have 104 episodes in total making it the longest ''Di Gi Charat'' anime by a wide margin.

8	''Nyo!'' was one of Creator/BandaiEntertainment's former licenses and the show received a dub by Creator/OceanMedia's non-union studio, Blue Water Studios, however said dub would be CutShort [[note]] as the North American anime industry had fallen on hard times due to the 2008 economic recession [[/note]] with only 72 of the 104 episodes dubbed.

She does eventually hit the jackpot by getting a coupon for a free steak dinner. 47	* ComicallySmallBribe: The spooky store owner offers Dejiko a pumpkin-flavored lollipop to make a delivery for him in Episode 35.

58	* DownTheRabbitHole: Episode 71 has Hikaru and Akari fall into a hole and get transported to the Anti-Lucky Cat Shopping District where everything is reversed. While there, the two both drink a potion that causes them to grow in size as well.

79	* HereWeGoAgain: Episode 48 ends with Meek get swallowed by another giant fish and it rampaging through the shopping district. When Dejiko grumbles about it happening again, Meek tells her to shut it.
80	* HugeGuyTinyGirl: Gramps and Gran are married and Gramps is much taller than Gran, being roughly twice her height.
81	* HumanSnowball: In episode 94, Rinna falls asleep while skiing and ends up creating a giant snowball. She manages to stay on top using some fancy handiwork. The same cannot be said for Usada who ends up getting stuck in it.
82	* IAmNotWeasel: Episode 38 has Gema fall in love with a Jellyfish that he names “Ms. Seaweed”. He later finds what he thinks is her dried-up body on the beach, when in actuality it’s a squid. The rest of the cast chooses not to correct him, mainly because they want to leave the beach.
83	* IdenticalStranger: Episode 76 has Dejiko helping Yasushi deliver presents, who insists he's Santa Claus. The end of the episode reveals that was the actual Santa Claus and that Yasushi had been asleep in his workroom for the past day leaving Dejiko shocked.
84	* IdenticalTwinIDTag: The pig twins Oinko and Oinkette are differentiated by their dress color.
85	* IdiosyncraticEpisodeNaming: Nearly every episode title ends with Dejiko’s VerbalTic of -nyo, with a few having Puchiko’s -nyu instead.

They decide to give her some tea to help keep her awake, [[GoneHorriblyRight but it has the side-effect of causing her to stay awake all night and keep them all up.]]

The end of the episode reveals that Yasushi had been asleep in his own workshop for the past few days as he had been busy designing and building toys, causing Dejiko to realize that she had been helping the real deal.

92	** One of the first things Rabi~en~Rose does after meeting, and being annoyed by, Dejiko is kicking her away into a car. Luckily for Dejiko, rather than falling into a river and nearly getting eaten by a giant koi she instead bounces off the car and lands on John and Paul.
93	** Takeshi and Yoshimi, the characters from the original series that John and Paul are based on, did perform music in the third episode of the ''Natsuyasumi Special'', however they weren’t very good.
94	** When in Akihabara specifically, all the people look like fingers. This is how every background character was drawn in the original series.
95	** Ky is stated to drink from a mug that has "Mama" written on it. In [[Anime/DiGiCharatSpecials the Christmas Special]] that took place within the same continuity as the original series, Ky was said to be like the mother of the Black Gema Gema Gang, with Rik and Coo being the father and brother respectively.
96	** Episode 58 features several similar beats to Episode 8 from the original series. It deals with Puchiko being upset that she can not use the laser eye. She goes to train, and the area she goes to looks exactly like the one from the original, where someone passing by offers to help her, Abarenbou rather than Murataku. In the end, Puchiko actually manages to fire off a laser eye beam, unfortunately, she is unable to replicate it afterward.

Unfortunately, this causes her to begin acting strange because of the excess energy that needs to be removed. After having to deal with the very dangerous disposal, the trio decides that they would rather just deal with the eye beams.
130	** Episode 64 has Dejiko get hit by a magical arrow that turns her kinder. Usada, Piyoko, and Puchiko decide to team up to return Dejiko back to her old self, with the former two wanting to do it simply because they can't stand Dejiko being the center of attention with the latter knowing that this isn't the actual Dejiko.
131	* WhatYouAreInTheDark: The last episode has Dejiko reroute her ship to go back to earth rather than return to Planet Di Gi Charat and her life of luxury. The only person who saw her do this was Puchiko who tells everyone after Dejiko lands.
