Some people [[SugarWiki/AndTheFandomRejoiced really enjoy]] children's {{toys}}...
* AndTheFandomRejoiced/{{Transformers}} (covers the entire franchise, not just the toys)
----
* Any time the Four Horsemen (no, not [[HorsemenOfTheApocalypse those]] Four Horsemen (and while we're at it, not ''[[Wrestling/{{WCW}} those]]'' Horsemen either) are tasked with designing a new or revived line of action figures. Sculpts from both the recent ''Franchise/MastersOfTheUniverse'' and [[Creator/DCComics DC Universe Classics]] lines were their handiwork.
* Seems to happen any time a non-knockoff company announces a production of an otherwise rare twisty puzzle.
* This has happened a few times in ''Toys/{{Bionicle}}''.
** The Rahkshi were the first sets to bring about one long-awaited trait: Bendable knees.
** The release of the 2003 Makuta set was a huge thing, because it was the first official toy representation of the BigBad. In a similar fashion, the 2009 Titan-sized Toa Mata Nui was praised for its size (fans have been clamoring for a large Mata Nui since forever) and for including an exclusive gold-colored Mask of Life.
** 2006: Voya Nui - "New island, ho hum. Wait, ''[[EnsembleDarkhorse Jaller, Hahli, Kongu, Matoro, Nuparu, AND Hewkii]]'' as '''''TOA?!?!''' [[{{Squee}} WANT!!]]''"
** 2007: Mahri Nui - "They're going underwater? Meh - Wait, the canister sets AREN'T clones? And the bad guys look even more badass than the Piraka? AND [[BigBad MAKUTA]] IS BACK?! WANT!"
** 2008: Karda Nui - The Toa Nuva returning? '''YES!!!'''
*** The vehicles brought back the giant, complicated ''BIONICLE'' sets with functions.
** 2009: Bara Magna - "''What?'' A new planet? Oh, this is gonna su - Mata Nui? ''AS A SET? YES!''"
*** ''The Legend Reborn'' - "Meh, this looks kinda - Michael Dorn? ''[[Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration Worf]] is playing Mata Nui? {{Squee}}!!!''"
** 2010: ''BIONICLE Stars'' - A commemorative line with Tahu, Takanuva the Rahkshi and a Piraka? The classic Hau mask re-released? '''YES!!!'''
** 2017: ''The BIONICLE Scores'' - Sadly it seems as if Bionicle is really gone for- wait, what’s this? Nathan Furst is releasing the original scores to the first 3 Bionicle movies via digital downloads? And they’re including bonus tracks with previously unreleased material? '''''YES!''''' Huh, my wallet is feeling surprisingly lighter now.
* 2015: BIONICLE IS COMING BACK!
*** The reintroduction of geared arms.
*** Even better: geared arms ''without sacrificing arm articulation''! Best of both worlds.
** Mask Maker Vs. Skull Grinder. On the one hand, the Skull Grinder, much like his fellow Summer 2015 villains, was [[BrokenBase divisive]]. On the other hand: [[BigGood Ekimu]] gets his own figure, it's a box set featuring a hero facing off against the villain, and let's not forget: ''The Mask of Creation in set form!'' All of this is made even better when Lego Magazine revealed that the Skull Grinder actually has a ''name:'' Kulta.
*** The leaked 2016 set list reveals that ''every set'' has a name now.
** ''BIONICLE: The Journey to One'', coming soon... '''on Netflix'''.
** 2016: "Hey what are those markings on the Toa's masks? ''OH MY GOD, IT'S THE NUVA SYMBOLS FROM 2002!''
** Then the successor line, ''Toys/HeroFactory'' brought about the revolutionary change builders everywhere had been waiting for: ball-joint sockets that ''don't break'' (when used normally, that is). In general, the building-style introduced in the 2.0 line has been ''very'' well received.
*** ''Hero Factory'''s ''Invasion from Below'' line brought about an official "piloted mechs against {{kaiju}}s'' LEGO theme, with the Minifigure-scale Heroes catching the attention of even older LEGO fans.
* Crash is finally [[https://twitter.com/GoodSmile_US/status/1317261554799312896 getting a Nendoroid figure]], and it's based on ''[[VideoGame/CrashBandicoot4ItsAboutTime Crash 4]]'''s [[{{Moe}} adorable]] redesign, no less.
* Jazwares is only going to make the main characters of Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog, like usu- Blaze? Espio? ''Rouge?'' ''Jet?'' '''FUCKING MIGHTY?''' '''COMIC FIGURES!!''' {{Squee}}
** Blaze has been deconfirmed as a figure, and there's been no word yet that this troper could find on Mighty or Comic-based figures (unless you're talking about the figures packaged with a comic, but that's completely different). On a related note, it sucks that they had to cancel their old ''Franchise/MortalKombat'' lion before their exclusive badass Kintaro figure was released...Wait, they're making an VideoGame/MortalKombat9 line, now? ''Classic Cyborg figures?'' '''Confirmed Kintaro figure, this time?!''' Just give us a Motaro figure to complete the boss set, and I'm sold.
* Mattel's {{Franchise/Barbie}} team handles their fashionista/ collector PeripheryDemographic smashingly in their new Barbie Basics Collection. "Oh, another line of Barbies? Figures- wait. Actual, quality designer clothing? New male models? Adult marketing?!?"
* OK, Toys/HotWheels; let's get some facts straight. I and a ton of other guys loved playing with your cars as kids, but it's 2010 and you haven't done much to show your affection to fans that have grown up...whoa, you're finally releasing a [[http://hotwheels.wikia.com/wiki/81_DeLorean_DMC-12 DeLorean]] car? ''And is that the [[http://hotwheels.wikia.com/wiki/Ghostbusters_Ecto-1 Ecto-1]]''?!
** So you released the DMC-12 last year? A bit disappointing, isn't it? I mean, you must have had a license with Universal to make the [[Franchise/{{Ghostbusters}} Ecto-1]], so isn't it logical that the next step is - ''[[http://hotwheels.wikia.com/wiki/Back_to_the_Future_Time_Machine A SCREEN-ACCURATE TIME MACHINE]]''?! [[Franchise/BackToTheFuture Great Scott!]]
* June 2022: oh look a new Marvel Legends Spider-Man figure reveal, WAIT IS THAT TOBEY MAGUIRE AND ANDREW GARFIELD, WITH A NEW TOM HOLLAND FIGURE?
** In early 2023 the Marvel Legends community was also excited that they announced that they were finally getting rid of windowless packaging, and using packaging made out of recycled plastic.
** VideoGame/MarioKart [[https://nintendowire.com/news/2018/07/18/mario-kart-themed-hot-wheels-hitting-stores-next-year/ cars are coming! Track sets, too!]]
* At Comic-Con 2011, it was leaked that LEGO had re-issued the DC comics license, which was awesome by itself. One day later, it was officially announced that they in fact had one line of sets each for MARVEL AND DC COMICS! [[ComicBook/MarvelVersusDC Marvel vs. DC]], Round Two!
* Ah, Ghostbusters Minimates. These are fun, but I wish they'd do something based on the show... What? A new line of Minimates based on ''WesternAnimation/TheRealGhostbusters''? And there will be figures of ghosts from the show?! Oh, wait, I bet it will just be Slimer and the Stay Puft... IS THAT SAMHAIN AND THE BOOGEYMAN?!
* In Fall 2021, the ''Franchise/{{Naruto}}'' community was thrilled when they found out that the S.H.Figuarts Naruto line was announced to be returning in 2022 after a 4 year hiatus. The first figure they revealed was Naruto, which got fans excited, however a few days later they announced Sasuke and Sakura, which made fans even more excited. They were released in Summer 2022, and fans were thrilled by the figures, and commented on how the quality, accessories and articulation of the figures, and how they were much better than the original releases, and they made it onto many top 10 action figure lists that year. Even people who aren't fans of Naruto commented on how good the figures were. It got better, as figures of Kakashi, Jiraiya, Orochimaru, Madara, Obito, the Six Paths Naruto and even the kid versions of Naruto and Sasuke were later announced or released, which made the Naruto fans even more happy.
* Franchise/{{LEGO}} is [[http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118047584 releasing]] ''[[Franchise/TolkiensLegendarium Lord of the Rings]]'' sets. [[PunctuatedForEmphasis WANT. THEM. NOW.]]
** And now Franchise/{{LEGO}} VideoGame/{{Minecraft}} has been announced. Do want.
*** The Best News For Lego Fans... Franchise/StarWars Has Been Licensed...And Renewed!
* Franchise/PowerRangers toys: More Samurai, more Sam... wait [[Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger Shinken-O]]? Bandai's ''importing'' Megazords again? The reversion Dino Megazord (the one of the few good things that came out of THAT {{Recut}}) rereleased in die-cast? New Armored Red Ranger figure?! MMPR Mask Collection? THE '''ORIGINAL MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER MORPHER''' REMADE WITH DIECAST WITH SHOW ACCURATE STICKERS ''AND'' THE BUCKLE? ALL IS FORGIVEN! ALL OF OUR MONEY!!! '''[[{{Tagline}} ACTION SATISFACTION]]!!!'''
** And now the Comic-con exclusive golden [[EnsembleDarkhorse TOMMY OLIVER]] Morphers will be released as well!!!
* Jakks Pacific's wrestling figure line WWE Classic Superstars and their Best Of WCW and ECW lines ran on this trope. Numerous good examples, and plenty of obscure people who fans never thought possible. An example of the latter was a classic Shockmaster, considered one of the worst gimmicks ever. Shockmaster was famous for botching his debut appearance, by tripping over the stage, causing his mask (a Star Wars stormtrooper helmet painted silver) to fall off, thus killing any mystery about his character. It was clear this was done entirely for the fans, and because of the MemeticMutation of the botched video on the internet. What was surprising was that many fans thought they would never get away with the stormtrooper helmet, but they just slightly changed the design and managed it.
* They're releasing Franchise/{{LEGO}} sets to tie in with ''WesternAnimation/TheLEGOMovie''? Meh, it'll probably be -- IS THAT A [[Toys/ClassicLEGOSpace CLASSIC LEGO SPACESHIP]]? AND [[Toys/LEGOAdventurers JOHNNY THUNDER]]? My wallet feels so much lighter now...
* The ''[[WesternAnimation/{{Mixels}} Mixels]]'' fandom was ''thrilled'' when they were given the news that the third wave was not going to be the end, and the series would continue on for even longer.
* ''Toys/EverAfterHigh'' is getting ''its own show and movie?'' On '''{{Creator/Netflix}}'''? Sweet!
* The ''Toys/MonsterHigh'' fandom gets like this nearly every time a new movie/special is announced.
* Remember Toys/{{Micronauts}} and ComicBook/ROMSpaceKnight? [[http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=278&itemid=25004 Apparently, so does Hasbro...]]
* WE'RE GETTING A [[Series/HannahMontana HANNAH MONTANA]] [[Toys/FunkoPop FUNKO POP]]! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! REPEAT! [[https://comicbook.com/gear/news/disney-100-funko-pops-the-complete-guide-hannah-montana-darth-vader/ NOT A DRILL]]!
