combine all MCU entries into one main bullet with sub-bullets for each film

* Film/AntMan1: During the final battle, Scott calls up just about every ant he's got to swarm Cross/Yellowjacket.

* In Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron, Ultron sics his many, many drones at the Avengers, who are guarding his DoomsdayDevice. Should at least one drone manage to reach the device, it's an extinction-level ColonyDrop.
* Film/AvengersInfinityWar: Thanos' Outriders, who lack the intelligence of their comic counterparts. They will throw themselves at enemies with no regard for their own lives, and their sheer numbers threaten to mob the Avengers-Wakanda forces until Thor shows up. Of course, they're being used as a distraction as well.
-->Black Panther: You are in Wakanda now. Thanos will have nothing but dust, and blood.
-->Proxima Midnight: We... have blood to spare.

* Film/TheGamers: Subverted (or maybe inverted) in The Gamers: Dorkness Rising, where Flynn the "how different can it be" Bard becomes a Zerg Wall of Defense (in the end, literally) while the RPG Adventure Party's mage is studying up on a spell to attack TheDragon.

Added DiffLines:

* Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse:
** Film/AntMan1: During the final battle, Scott calls up just about every ant he's got to swarm Cross/Yellowjacket.
** Film/IronMan2: After Black Widow frees War Machine from Vanko's control, Vanko throws all the surviving Hammer drones at Iron Man and War Machine at once. The drones even show a certain amount of tactical skill, attacking in groups of two and three, and trying to concentrate their fire on their foes.
** Film/TheAvengers2012: After getting their asses kicked for most of the final battle, the Chitauri systematically put each Avenger out of action by pinning them down with overwhelming force.
** In Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron, Ultron sics his many, many drones at the Avengers, who are guarding his DoomsdayDevice. If even one drone manages to reach the device, it's an extinction-level ColonyDrop.

--->Proxima Midnight: We... have blood to spare.
** Film/ShangChiAndTheLegendOfTheTenRings: In Macau, the Ten Rings mooks attack Shang-Chi and Xu Xialing this way. In the film's climax, the soul-eaters attack Ta Lo in a vast swarm. Even after making a hasty alliance, the villagers and Ten Rings warriors are hard pressed to just stay alive.

* In Film/TheManWhoWouldBeKing, once the villagers discover that Danny is not actually a god, they form into a lynch mob to literally tear him and his fellow conspirators apart. Two Englishmen, Billy Fish and the five people that remain loyal to them try to do a fighting retreat, but the mob numbers at least ten thousand is is fueled by utter fanaticism. They run out of bullets very fast spoiler:and Peachy is the only one who survives. Billy demonstrates this trope the best -- he decides to charge the mob with his knife to do a YouShallNotPass when he runs out of ammo and the mob piles on top of him one second later.

* Film/StarshipTroopers has this as the standard tactic against the giant antagonist bugs. Let me repeat that. The human infantry try to Zerg what is basically the actual Zerg. As one might expect, this fails horribly. In the book, which averts it, if 1 human soldier dies but takes 100 bugs with him, it's still a net gain for the bugs.

In the book, which averts it, if 1 human soldier dies but takes 100 bugs with him, it's still a net gain for the bugs. The standard "drone" bug is a mass-produced, armored mass of teeth and claws, a LivingWeapon that cannot feel fear or disobey orders from the telepathic "general" Bugs directing them. Humans are squishy (no PoweredArmor like in the book), JackOfAllTrades units that take 20 to 25 years to grow. A soldier who can potentially pilot a starship is wasted as cannon fodder.
