** The episode, "History" ended with Brenden getting grounded ''and'' getting his video camera taken away after horribly failing a history test (he got a 0).

** Doug is grounded the end of the Disney episode "Doug's Movie Madness" after fessing up to his parents that he saw [[KidsShouldntWatchHorrorFilms an R-rated scary movie]] without permission and had nightmares as a result.

** Steven is grounded again near the end of "Fusion Cuisine" for trying to elope with Connie, with no dinner for 1000 years (Pearl realized this was too far since Steven needs food while the Gems don't, and then changed the punishment to just no TV...for 1000 years). The punishment is active and brought up many episodes later, until it's finally lifted in "Joy Ride".

* The ''WesternAnimation/AdventureTime'' episode "Hitman" has Finn grounding the Ice King for 4 weeks (at first it is 2 but the Ice King argues with him causing it to escalate to 4) after he goes princess stalking again. At the end of the episode, we get a [[TheDogBitesBack Dog Bites Back]] ending with the Ice King sitting on Finn and Jake waiting for them to thaw out after he froze them earlier and tells them "[[IronicEcho You're grounded. Underneath my butt!]]".

** In the [[WesternAnimation/Ben10 original series]], Ben's grounded by Grandpa Max after he gets the family banned from a fancy hotel for [[SeriousBusiness sneaking into a restricted area and playing an unreleased video game]]. Ben lashes out and rebels, deciding that BeingGoodSucks if he doesn't get anything out of it and ends up "befriending" [[EvilCounterpart Kevin Levin]]. After Kevin's dealt with, the episode ends with Max [[DisappointedInYou giving Ben a serious talking-to for betraying his trust]] but they're on good terms with each other once more by the time of the next one.

* In one episode of ''WesternAnimation/FievelsAmericanTails'', Fievel is grounded (or "Ground-hogged") when he arrives home late for dinner.

** Missy gets grounded in the “Thanksgiving” episode when she smokes a joint of marijuana that she takes from her cousins Lena and Quinta and gets high off of it, causing her to misbehave during thanksgiving dinner in the process.

** Vergil is grounded by his father after the latter finds out that his son ran away from the police due to him having his superhero costume in his backpack.

* In "Escaping Expulsion", after finding out they've been expelled, Gus and Willow's fathers ground them for 1 and 3 years, respectively. All while the two are being carried away by calling birds. It is implied that the punishments were rescinded once it became clear the expulsions were due to the Blights throwing their weight around.

** In ''[[WesternAnimation/Ben10DestroyAllAliens Destroy All Aliens]]'', Ben's parent do this to him due to a mishap at school thanks to Omnitrix going nutty. Ben's disappearance is what causes Max and Gwen to get in on the plot after they phone Max. [[spoiler: At the end, when the parents are restored to normal from the accidental Omnitrix transformation. They conveniently forget about the punishment which frees up Ben to go on a weekend trip with Max and Gwen. Ben turns it down, having learned his lesson from the whole ordeal.]]
