When [[TheProtagonist Billy]] comes to her house, she shoots him in the leg, and when he comes to, claims it's because she thought he was one of a species of skinless monsters that prowl about the woods. As the movie goes on, though, it becomes clear that she wants to keep Billy in an invalid state so she can keep looking after him, and by the end, it's apparent she's willing to go as far as to cripple him and psychologically torture him into being totally dependant on her. Oh, and she also met Billy's father, Russell, skinned him, and then had him come into the house so Billy would kill him and make Billy think that Agnes' story is true.]]
