Unlike his competitors like [[WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes Leon Schlesinger]] of Creator/WarnerBros, Fred Quimby of Creator/{{MGM}} and Paul Terry of Creator/{{Terrytoons}}, Lantz actually liked making cartoons and wanted to give his audience the best cartoons he could--without spending too much money in the process, since he did suffer from low budgets. On top of that, he was considered a BenevolentBoss by his staff, with many of the same crew working with him for decades, lasting all the way up to the studios demise in 1972.

Unfortunately, the project never got off the ground due to the lackluster performance of the Creator/FleischerStudios film ''WesternAnimation/MrBugGoesToTown''.
